New Management of Larsens Tented Camp and Samburu Game Lodge

• Thursday 24th November 2022 3:48pm

Sun World Safaris added Larsens Tented Camp and Samburu Game Lodge to their portfolio of boutique properties with effect of 01st October 2022.

Both are located in the heart of the beautiful semi-arid desert Samburu Game Reserve with stunning locations on the mighty Ewaso Nyiro river. 

Since taking over we have commenced a full re-build of Larsens Tented Camp. 

Larsens Camp will comprise of: -    Dining & Lounge/ Bar -    Infinity pool & Spa -    Wooden dining deck on stilts, overlooking the river -    Viewing platform overlooking Mt. Ololokwe -    Shop & public toilets -    12 luxury tents -    2 Family Units -    2 Deluxe Suites 

All 16 tents are river facing and raised on stilts with maximum privacy in between. 

Our scheduled re-opening date for Larsens will be 01st July 2023.

Established in 1997, Sunworld Safaris Ltd is a well known travel management company run and managed by Gabriele who is Austrian and Dave a born and bred Kenyan.Sunworld Safaris was established in 1997 and is still currently operating with its head office based in Nairobi, Kenya. We pride ourselves in offering select 4 x 4 safari packages, tailor made safaris and four wheel drive car hire. The company is run by Gabriele who is Austrian and Dave, a born and bred Kenyan. Our aim is to show YOU Kenya the way WE know it and to ensure that our knowledge is featured in the itineraries we provide. We are happy to offer you our advice whether you wish to experience a fully organized safari or simply rent one of our 4x4 vehicles on self-drive or chauffeur driven basis. Being a relatively small organisation we CARE about your safari experience – you are not just a file number for us but a person willing to put all your trust in us and spending your hard earned money on a holiday in Kenya / East Africa. We appreciate this trust you have in us and hence will do our utmost to fulfill our promise to you. You will not be joined by 5 other safari guests or more in your Minibus (not very suitable for Kenya’s rough roads) but rather experience a “private safari” if you like and enjoy game drives at your own pace, choose your travel dates and give us your ideas of how you imagine YOUR SAFARI. Since we have our own fleet of 4 x 4 vehicles maintained in our in-house workshop we have several advantages over tour operatorswho rely on companies to provide them with transport. You can rest assured to be given a good quality safari style or luxury 4 x 4 vehicle and travel with one of our well trained driver/guides

Detailed itinerary, arrival in nairobi.

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be met by our representative and safari driver guide. If you wish to change money into the local currency it would be advisable if you do it while at the airport. You will then be transferred to your city hotel. Overnight at FOUR POINTS BY SHERATON HOTEL

Accommodation

Four points sheraton, hotel type: airport hotel, nairobi – fly to amboseli national park.

Pick up from your hotel and transfer to Wilson Airport for your flight with Air Kenya aviation to Amboseli National Park departing at approx. 0730 hours to arrive Amboseli at approx. 0800 hours. Upon arrival pick up by the lodge vehicle and transfer to the lodge. Rest of the programme as per the schedule of the lodge. Meals & overnight at AMBOSELI SERENA SAFARI LODGE.

Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge

Hotel type: standard lodge, full day in amboseli national park.

Full day in Amboseli National Park National Park with activities as per the schedule of the lodge. Amboseli National Park is known for its large elephant herds and views of immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania. Observation Hill offers panoramas of the peak and the park’s plains and swamps. Varied wildlife includes giraffes, zebras, cheetahs and hundreds of bird species. Meals & overnight at AMBOSELI SERENA SAFARI LODGE.

Amboseli – Fly to Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast you will be transferred to Amboseli airstrip for your flight with Mombasa Air to Masai Mara Game Reserve departing at approx. 0900 hours to arrive Masai Mara at 1030 hours. Upon Arrival in Masai Mara, you will be picked from the airstrip and transfer to your camp. Afternoon game drives in the reserve in a shared vehicle. Meals & overnight at MARA BUSH CAMP

Soroi Mara Bush Camp

Hotel type: luxury tented camp, masai mara game reserve.

Full days in Masai Mara Game Reserve with activities as per the schedule of the camp. Masai Mara National Reserve is considered a “must see” for any new visitor traveling on a safari to Kenya. It is known to boost the highest concentration of wildlife in Africa making it great for game viewing throughout the year. The Reserve is famous for it’s huge herds of Wildebeest and Zebra which migrate through Maasai Mara from the Serengeti around June-October each year. Meals & overnight at MARA BUSH CAMP

Maasai Mara National Reserve - Nairobi

Morning programme as per the schedule of the camp. After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip in Masai Mara for your flight to Nairobi departing at approx. 1100 hours to arrive Nairobi at approx. 1200 hours. Upon arrival, pick up from Wilson airport and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your out bound flight. END OF SERVICES!
