New disney’s “the nightmare before christmas” experience begins this month.

Tim Burton’s  The Nightmare Before Christmas  will celebrate its 30th anniversary in October, and as part of the festivities, a new experience inspired by the film is available to fans now through early 2024.

Perhaps the only film in animation history to be as popular at Christmastime as it is during the Halloween season, Tim Burton’s  The Nightmare Before Christmas made its debut nearly 30 years ago. The stop-motion dark fantasy film was written and produced by Tim Burton and directed by Henry Selick. Danny Elfman wrote the score and the songs for the film and also lent his voice talents to Jack Skellington, as well as two minor characters in the storyline. The voice cast also includes Chris Sarandon, Catherine O’Hara, William Hickey, Ken Page, Paul Reubens, Glenn Shadix, and Ed Ivory.

After premiering at the New York Film Festival on October 9, 1993, the film was given a limited release in theaters on October 13, 1993, before its full theatrical release across the nation on October 29. And while fans were thrilled about the film’s debut, no one was happier about the completion of the film than the production team.

The stop-motion film, which was an adaptation of a poem written by producer Tim Burton while he was an animator for Disney in the 1980s, took more than three years to make, according to director Henry Selick.

“I was on the film for three and a half years,” Selick said. “The stop-motion animation took about 18 months, but with pre-production, where you storyboarded every single shot, it did add up.” Selick further said that at the film’s peak, there were approximately 120 people working on it, and about 15 of those were animators.

When the film first debuted in 1993, it was regarded as a “moderate sleeper hit,” meaning it wasn’t a total failure, but it didn’t rock the box office either. The film earned about $50 million from its first release. Then, with a re-issue of the film in 2006, The Nightmare Before Christmas earned an additional $11.1 million in box office gross revenue. Four more re-issues–in 2007, 2008, and 2009–earned $15.8 million, $2.5 million, and $2.3 million, respectively, bringing the film’s total box office gross revenue to $91.5 million.

But regardless of the amount of revenue generated by the film, Tim Burton’s  The Nightmare Before Christmas has grown in popularity over the years, and it seems to have an uncanny ability to garner new fans–and maintain them. In the almost 30 years since its release, the dark fantasy film that sees Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King, looking for “more” out of his existence and subsequently finding it in the phenomenon known as “Christmas.” But Jack doesn’t know exactly what to think of Christmas and attempts to bring Christmas to Halloween Town, and the results are a bit less than merry.

But for whatever reason–be it the uniqueness of the film, the fact that a film with somewhat macabre elements attempts to incorporate Christmas, or simply the fact that it’s one of Tim Burton’s brainchildren– The Nightmare Before Christmas   continues to maintain its popularity and attract new fans every year, giving it bragging rights as a cult classic.

This year is a monumental one for  Nightmare  fans, as it marks the 30th anniversary of the film’s release. And to celebrate, a new experience inspired by the creepy, quasi-jolly film is available to fans now through early January 2014.

Relics of the popular stop-motion film will be exhibited at the McNay Art Museum through January 14, 2024, in an experience titled  Dreamland: Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas .

The exhibition includes maquettes, which are models for larger sculptures that are created so that artists and animators can visualize what the sculpture will look like once it’s finished. In addition to the maquettes, Dreamland will also incorporate small-scale working models that were used to make the 1993 Halloween-Christmas-Halloween flick and that eventually made their way into the McNay Art Museum’s Tobin Collection of Theatre Arts the year after the film debuted.

Among the figures on display are Oogie Boogie, Bone Crusher, and Jack Skellington. A full set model, “Jack Skellington and his dog, Zero, in Jack’s Tower,” made of painted wood, metal, plastic, fabric, and more, will also be on exhibition.

Per KPRC Channel 2 in Houston:

A nod to filmmaker Tim Burton’s surrealist sensibility, “Dreamland” will also display a “hall of peculiar portraits” with quirky subjects by artists José Clemente Orozco Farías, Pablo Picasso, Julie Heffernan, Eugene Berman, Marilyn Lanfear, Willem de Kooning, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and Julie Speed, among others; and large-scale paintings and photographs by artists Paul Maxwell, Claudia Rogge, Robin Utterback and Sandy Skoglund.

“The Tobin Collection of Theatre Arts makes the McNay unique among art museums across the country,” said Matthew McLendon, director of the McNay, in a statement. “This monumental anniversary of the treasured film ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ is the perfect opportunity not only to share Burton’s fascinating set and character models but also illuminate equally fascinating McNay artworks available to San Antonians throughout the year.”

Visitors will be guided through the world of Burton and given an open invitation to conjure fantasy narratives of their own using surreal imagery from the McNay collection on display throughout the gallery. The exhibition spotlights Burton’s genius, as seen through the presentation of original models of beloved characters like Oogie Boogie Exposed, Bone Crusher, and the story’s hero, Jack Skellington.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM DISNEY TIM BURTON’S THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS LIGHT TRAIL?

It’s a dazzling outdoor, nighttime light experience, within the historic grounds of the New York Botanical Garden. The classic holiday film comes to life with projections and sculptures, creating an exciting journey for all ages.

WHAT AGES ARE APPROPRIATE TO ATTEND THE EXPERIENCE?

Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail is appropriate for all ages; however, due to the amount of walking involved it will be most enjoyed by kids ages 5 and up.

HOW LONG IS THE LIGHT TRAIL?

The Light Trail can take 45 minutes to one hour to complete. Once you enter the Light Trail, you are free to explore, following the one-way path. Once you leave the Light Trail, there is no re-entry. Be prepared for an outdoor experience, and plan your attire accordingly. Wear comfortable shoes!

HOW MUCH WALKING IS INVOLVED?

The Light Trail is experienced entirely on foot. It’s approximately a 7–10 minute walk from the ticket center to the beginning of the trail. The trail itself can take 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete. It is paved, with a few areas that are naturally uneven or sloped. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own mobility devices, as well as strollers for children. 

ARE THERE PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES? / CAN I TAKE PICTURES?

The Light Trail is designed to take you closely past some of the most memorable and favorite characters and scenes from the story. The path is designed to provide ample opportunity for capturing each special moment on camera. Drones, tripods, selfie sticks, and professional photo equipment are strictly prohibited.

HOW CLOSE CAN I GET TO THE SCULPTURES?

The Light Trail is designed so that visitors can pass by each character and scene closely. Visitors are required to follow one-way flow on the Light Trail path and are prohibited from entering the designed areas or touching the sculptures.

WHERE IS THE EVENT LOCATED?

The event is located at the New York Botanical Garden, at 2900 Southern Boulevard in the Bronx. Whether you’re hopping on the subway, taking a short trip via Metro-North to the Botanical Garden stop, or getting there by car, NYBG is easy to reach!

HOW DO I GET TO THE NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN?

Arriving by car? Set your GPS to the Garden’s Main Entrance at 2900 Southern Boulevard.

Arriving by Metro-North Railroad? Use the Mosholu Entrance, located directly across from the station. NYBG is just 20 minutes from Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan. Take the Metro-North Harlem local line to Botanical Garden Station.

Arriving by subway or bus? Take the B, D, or 4 train to Bedford Park Boulevard, or any number of local buses, to arrive at the Garden’s Mosholu Entrance.

IS THERE PARKING?

Yes, parking is $22 and available on a first-come, first served basis. Visitors are encouraged to take public transit or car service. In addition to onsite parking, Garden parking is also available at the NYBG Parking Garage (401 Bedford Park Boulevard). If you park in the garage on Bedford Park Boulevard, parking can be paid for, and validated at, any ticket window when entering or exiting the Garden.

WHERE CAN A CAB, UBER, OR OTHER CAR SERVICE DROP ME OFF/PICK ME UP?

All drop-offs and pick-ups must be made outside the Main Entrance located at 2900 Southern Boulevard, or across the street from the Mosholu Entrance at the Metro-North station.

WHERE DO I ENTER THE GARDEN?

Visitors arriving by car will enter the Main Gate at 2900 Southern Boulevard. Pedestrians may enter the Garden via either the Main Gate or Mosholu Gate, where the Metro-North station is located. The Garden’s East Gate is not open during this experience.

WHERE DO I CHECK IN FOR THE EXPERIENCE?

Visitors begin their journey to the Light Trail from the Visitor Center. Your ticket will be checked at three points along the way.

DO I NEED TO ARRIVE BEFORE MY TICKETED ENTRY TIME?

Plan to arrive at NYBG at least 15 minutes before your ticketed time.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T ARRIVE AT MY TICKETED ENTRY TIME?

If you arrive early for your designated time, you are welcome to wait in the Visitor Center area. If you arrive late for your designated time, please check in with a ticketing attendant at the Visitor Center. We will do our best to accommodate you, but we cannot guarantee it.

IS THE EXPERIENCE ACCESSIBLE?

The Light Trail is paved, but there are a few areas where the terrain is naturally uneven or sloped. Wheelchairs are not available for loan. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own mobility devices. This multisensory experience includes changes in light levels, bright colors, flashing lights, and music.

CAN I BRING A STROLLER?

Yes, visitors may bring their own strollers. Strollers are not available to rent.

WHERE ARE THE RESTROOMS?

Restrooms are located at the Visitor Center entrance and midway on the path to/from the Light Trail. There are no restrooms within the Light Trail. Visitors are strongly encouraged to visit the restrooms before entering the Light Trail.

WILL THERE BE FOOD AND BEVERAGES AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE?

Yes! Light snacks, drinks, sweet treats, and kid-friendly fare will be available. No outside food or beverages are permitted on grounds.

CAN I BRING A BAG?

Oversized bags are prohibited, and there are no bag-check facilities. NYBG Security Managers conduct intermittent bag checks at Garden entry points.

CAN I BRING MY PET?

Only service animals are allowed at the New York Botanical Garden; pets are not allowed on Garden grounds. Service animals are permitted in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Service animals are defined by the ADA as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

CAN I SMOKE ON GROUNDS?

There is no smoking or vaping on Garden grounds, including the parking lots.

CAN I COME IN COSTUME?

You may come dressed up for the occasion; however, costume props are not allowed. Full-face masks or covering are not permitted.

CAN I VISIT THE REST OF NYBG BEFORE THE LIGHT TRAIL?

Your Disney Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Light Trail ticket provides access only to the experience footprint. The rest of the Garden is not accessible to Light Trail ticket holders. You Can Go On A Nightmare Before Christmas Booze Cruise That Includes Live Music And Beer Tastings

Nightmare Before Christmas season is still alive and well because—guess what—it's still before Christmas! To get you back into the spooky spirit, there's a series of themed booze cruises and beer festivals coming up where you can put on your best Oogie Boogie costume.

The Nightmare Before Brews Cruise takes place on a mega yacht that is transformed into a Halloween-meets-Christmas spectacular . Your favorite characters from the film will be roaming the ship so you can take photos and just generally interact with them. There will also be live music from the Skeleton Sisters who will be singing songs from the movie (I'm sure you're encouraged to sing along), as well as a dance party with DJ Oogie Claus. Classic.

And because it's a beer cruise, the event will also feature tastings of different winter, pumpkin, and holiday ales. If you're not exactly a beer drinker, never fear; you can also get your hands on winter comfort food and "Halloween-inspired Christmas cocktails." Whatever that means. All I know is in a promo video for the event, people were pouring beer out of a giant ice block made to look like Jack Skellington , so yeah, I'm in!

The cruise will take place in Portland, OR, on November 23 and tickets will run you $45. That includes access to the cruise, a tasting of all the beers, photo ops, a souvenir cup, AND access to all entertainment. Not a bad deal!

You can go on a 'Nightmare Before Christmas' booze cruise for just $35

• A company is hosting "Nightmare Before Christmas"-themed festivals and booze cruises across the United States.

If you love beer, Halloween, and Christmas, you're in luck — a series of festivals dedicated to all three are popping up around the United States.

Throughout November and December, Rockstar Beer Festivals is hosting a limited number of boozy "Nightmare Before Christmas"-themed events in cities on the West Coast, in the Midwest, and in the South.

Attendees will get unlimited beverage samples and have opportunities to pose with their favorite characters The event (not pictured) is set to follow a theme inspired by "The Nightmare Before Christmas." Shutterstock

This year, the annual event kicks off with The Nightmare Before Brews Cruise in Portland, Oregon, on November 23.

Other festivals and cruises will take place throughout December in cities including New Orleans, Louisiana; Indianapolis, Indiana; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Louisville, Kentucky.

Each ticket comes with unlimited drink samples from a range of festive, winter-themed and pumpkin-flavored ales . For many of these events, these drinks will be coming from local breweries. 

Attendees will also be able to order "Halloween-Inspired Christmas Cocktails" and winter-appropriate comfort foods, although it's unclear what exactly these offerings entail . 

There will also be photo opportunities and music involved 

Each night there will be entertainment from the Skeleton Sisters (or Skeleton Boys) singing hits from "The Nightmare Before Christmas" movie  and there will also be a dance party hosted by DJ Oogie Claus.

Plus, attendees will also be able to pose with Jack Skellington, Sally, and other characters from the film. 

Tickets start at $35 for most of the festivals, and the cruise starts at $42. These prices will go up as the date of the event gets closer, so if you're interested you may want to get your tickets sooner rather than later . 

This isn't the only 'Nightmare Before Christmas'-themed event happening this year

On December 20, a nightclub in Austin, Texas, is also hosting a "Nightmare Before Christmas" festival that's only for adults. The event is set to have sing-alongs, special themed cocktails, and even photo opportunities. 

Guests are encouraged to dress up and tickets cost between $10 and $13.

A 'Nightmare Before Christmas' Beer Cruise Sets Sail This Holiday Season

In Tim Burton's 1993 stop-motion classic The Nightmare Before Christmas , Jack Skellington gets tired of doing the same old Halloween celebration every year, so he decides to branch out into something new and exciting: Christmas . Meanwhile, if you like the movie but are tired of simply watching it at home for the thousandth time, here's your chance to try something more exciting: a Nightmare Before Christmas -themed booze cruise.

Rock Star Beer Festivals—which, according to its website , has hosted dozens of beer events primarily in Southern California and made headlines earlier this year for their Harry Potter-themed beer fest —is holding several "A Nightmare Before" events between now and Christmas, including four beer festivals in New Orleans, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Las Vegas, and a "brews cruise" in Portland, Oregon.

All the events promise a mix of Halloween meets Christmas—inspired by (but seemingly not officially sponsored by) the movie—including "roaming characters and plenty of photo ops" and "two areas of entertainment including live music from the Skeleton Sisters [or Boys] (Singing Songs from the Hit Movie) and a dance party with DJ Oogie Claus." Plus, obviously, there will be beer: specifically, unlimited samples of seasonal brews, mostly from local breweries. (Most of the events say the tasting lasts three hours.) Finally, if you can't survive on beer alone, "Winter comfort food and Halloween-Inspired Christmas Cocktails will be available."

However, the Nightmare Before Christmas brews cruise sounds like the most exciting of the bunch, taking all of the above and putting it on a "mega yacht" sailing around the Portland harbor. And as you might expect, you'll pay a premium to be on a boat. Whereas all the other events have a base ticket price of $35, the Portland cruise starts at $42.

But if you're a beer lover looking for an excuse to wear your Nightmare Before Christmas costume among like-minded people, can you really put a price on this kind of experience? Tickets for all the events can be purchased on Eventbrite .

Just returned from the Quantum repositioning cruise from China to Singapore,now in our mid-late sixties we had always intended to travel East but had not managed it when,early last year,I noticed an ad for this cruise & promptly booked a Junior Suite,& then sat back & though what have we done!

Subsequent months saw a number of bad reviews for Quantums' Far East cruises,this was put down to poor info by RCI on what were very different cruises from the norm with the vast majority of the passengers being from the East & life on board adjusted to suite accordingly,on the run up to our cruise the big question was what we were going to see on board,even late on communications from RCI indicated a large Chinese presence,the truth was far different however.

Anyway 3rd October saw us fly out of Manchester to Beijing,via Abu Dhabi,landing in Beijing about 0820hrs on the Friday,4th October,we had learnt after booking that this was 'Golden week' in China when everyone was off,not only that but it was China's 70th Anniversary so we knew it would be busy,that rather shrunk into the background as the full horror of what awaited us at Beijing airport unravelled.

You require a Visa for China but for those passing through with certain t&c a 144 hour visa free waiver is available,CC forums indicated that this was a 10 minute affair,as we were not likely to get back to China again saving £300 seemed a good idea,how wrong can you be!

Well versed in what to do beforehand we duly got our finger prints done,filled in the arrival card & joined the not too big line,then noticing that people were filling in another form,I did likewise & the line inched forward,there seemed little urgency by those behind the desk as more planes landed & the line grew quickly,people leaving the desk in tears as they were refused entry filled us all with dread,we were lucky we got in,reports that anything up to 400 didn't circulated,this included couple & families being split up in what seemed such a random manner,relieved to have got that far we then had to go through Customs & immigration before getting a train to the baggage hall,arriving there just before midday,our taxi transfer obviously long gone we had to head to the taxi desk to pay for a taxi to our hotel,arriving there around 2pm where we again had to pass through security before checking in,shattered physically & mentally!

The hotel(Sunworld Dynasty) was superb,so were the staff,we loved Beijing even though the holiday traffic meant bumper to bumper traffic everywhere,our trip to the Great Wall turned into a marathon that took from 7 in the morning until gone 8 at night,leaving us with all of 20 minutes on the wall itself,luckily at sunset which was magical!

Transfer to the ship was uneventful,as was embarkation,even though there were guards there who had what looked like riot shields!

So glad to be on board,we had a Junior Suite which was superb,Quantum is a beautiful ship IMO,love the artwork,so quirky & fun,really appeals to my sense of humour,beautiful public rooms,the Theatre really deserves better quality entertainment IMO,what we saw there was poor to be kind,really didn't rate Starwater much better apart from a great main singer,the band by the pool murdered too many great songs,again IMO,maybe I am being too picky though as all shows still had plenty jumping up & down & clapping like overexcited sea lions at the Circus!

Food on board was not great,we ate in Chops the first night with every intention of repeating it but were not that impressed,my Wifes' Colossal Shrimp Cocktail' starter was a colossal bowl of ice with 4 large shrimps on it,the side dishes were very small,tasty enough though.our second night saw us in the MDR,American Icon,loved the decor,hated the noise,not impressed with the food & headed to the Windjammer after as we were still hungry,liked it there so much that we made that our choice for the rest of the cruise,dining outside aft was superb,many dinners spent watching the lightning,beautiful!

Harp & Horn pub superb,great service,Sorrentos did a roaring trade for people in there,nice Pizza,tried the Dog House once & were impressed.

Sea days saw the sun bed battle as there were too many people for too few sun beds & tempers flared at times,as this was going on the indoor pool was often empty with one guy sat at the bar & the Solarium underused,this changed later on as the weather became less good,beware when out on deck as Quantum has a habit of sprinkling soot around her decks.

We had booked shore excursions with a private source & we really enjoyed all of them,even though our stay in Hong Kong was altered due to the continuing troublesw & our first stop in Vietnam saw,pretty much non stop,torrential rain.

Announcements on board were poor to non existant,relying on other passengers to pass on news,not good,TV in the cabin had pretty poor selection IMO,Quantum views,webcams around the ship was our favourite early days until nearly of the webcams vanished from the channel,there was a film channel but films were nearly $12 each & were pretty much what had been available for free on our flights out there.

Some sea days saw a retail version of a feeding frenzy in the Royal Esplanade as people gathered to spend,spend,spend,was great fun watching it on the webcam on TV until it stopped working!

I was woken one morning at around 2am with an announcement over the tannoy,apparently a medical emergency,sadly a member of crew had died we later learned,a similar occurance the next day saw us drop anchor off an island somewhere while a passenger was transferred to shore by boat for further treatment,we were stopped for over an hour,again announcements were made but couldn't be heard in most parts so finding out why we were stopped there took some finding out!

Disembarkation in Singapore was delayed but pretty efficient,our last night saw us at the Orchard Hotel,another beautiful hotel,really liked Singapore but by the time we reached home we had been up more than 30hrs & were both in some discomfort after 2x7+ hour flights in what were the uncomfiest airline seats we have been in,I need another holiday!

As you were in a JS was Coastal Kitchen an option for dinner? We have one booked in Feb and I've read conflicting reports about the policy on Quantum.

What was altered in Hong Kong? Our cruise is due to end there so we have been following the situation.

Thanks for the review.  I would expect the cruises in the East are far different from what we see in the US and the UK, just because of their passenger makeup.   

We hope to plan a land based trip to Chins in the not too distant future.  We would have a somewhat, personalized tour since we would travel with a couple who live in China. 

The origional itinerary had 3 stops in Vietnam,this was changed to 2 with Hong Kong being what RCI referred to as an overnight stop in HK,which in fact meant a 2am departure,not really an overnighter but good enough to see the night markets & light show,with,in the case of our tour,a midday start,as trouble was expected on the evening of our visit all tours started early morning(some were cancelled) with a ship departure time changed to 7pm

As for the passenger make up,that was what we expected but as things turned out there were very few Chinese on board,the vast majority being European,American or Australian,food,entertainment,etc,contrary to what was indicated prior to sailing was pretty much standard RCI with slight exceptions.

We were on this cruise too, didn't have any issues getting into China, only heard about the issues once we had boarded, agree about the crowds but we'd read about it so expected it.   We liked the ship, ate in the WJ every night, we saw the issues with the sunbeds, I tended to go to the solarium early to read, most mornings witnessed people coming and putting towels down, not just one one, but some people had 8 beds reserved, the crew saw it but we didn't see them do anything.   We were surprised about the passenger ratio as last year we were on Ovation and it was about 98% Chinese.   Had a great time though.

Disney Reveals Details On “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” 30th Anniversary Celebrations

Disney has announced details for the upcoming 30th Anniversary of the release of “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

Since its 1993 debut, the film has charmed audiences, becoming a holiday classic and a tradition for many who eagerly await the annual Haunted Mansion Holiday takeover at Disneyland. This milestone highlights the endless appeal of the animated film, and this year, companywide festivities will extend to include a re-release of the film in movie theaters, more celebrations at Disney parks and resorts, new product offerings and much more, including a surprise announcement to come.

To keep the celebration going, The Walt Disney Company has brewed up a few ways to help fans take part in the hallowed fun:

• Tim Burton’s holiday classic will hit theaters across the U.S. and in Canada on October 20th. To commemorate the re-release, new artwork inspired by the film was created by Shepard Fairey’s Studio Number One. Additionally, the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood will show the film in 4D and host anniversary screenings featuring specialty concessions, souvenirs and more.
• Celebrate the film’s anniversary with a collectible zoetrope vinyl. This two-vinyl set includes the soundtrack from the film featuring all time classics like “What’s this,” “This is Halloween” and more. Plus, check out the mesmerizing zoetrope effect on the vinyl once it plays on a record player. The collectible zoetrope vinyl is available for pre-order now at Disney Music Emporium .

• At Disneyland park, the Haunted Mansion attraction has undergone its annual seasonal transformation to become Haunted Mansion Holiday, as Jack Skellington wrecks the halls of the mansion with frightfully festive decor inspired by “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.”
• Oogie Boogie Bash will take over Disney California Adventure, bringing rare characters, villains and spellbinding experiences on 25 select evenings between September 5 and October 31. During Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom park, guests can witness Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular – a wickedly wild fireworks display featuring some fan-favorite Disney Characters and hosted by Jack Skellington.
• At Hong Kong Disneyland, fans will have the chance to meet Jack Skellington and Sally as they welcome guests to themed experiences across the parks. While at Disneyland Paris, guests will be able to meet Jack Skellington during the Disney Halloween Festival and Disney Enchanted Christmas.
• Disney Consumer Products, Games and Publishing has debuted product lines in celebration of the anniversary from licensees and retailers such as Hot Topic and The Home Depot that include apparel, dolls, role-play products, home decor, a 13’ giant-sized animatronic Jack Skellington and more. In addition, fans can dive into adult crafting and activities with all-new curated books inspired by the film, such as “The Official Baking Cookbook ” (Insight Editions) or read the collectible novelization of “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” by Megan Shepherd, plus check out the Little Golden Book and various kids’ storybooks for more family fun.
• Throughout the fall, Disney Cruise Line guests will be treated to themed experiences on Halloween on the High Seas sailings.
• ABC will air the holiday classic on October 22nd at 8 p.m. Eastern time, and viewers can tune into Freeform’s “31 Nights of Halloween” with several opportunities to watch the film starting October 1st. Disney Channel will also bring the Pumpkin King to fans on October 28th and December 11th.
• Disney+ subscribers are invited to stream the movie and the movie’s sing-along version on the service.
• Fans can also experience the restored and remastered film in stunning 4K Ultra HD on Blu-ray disc and Digital. A special Disney 100 anniversary Steelbook is available exclusively from Best Buy.

Jack, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, grows a bit tired of being scary all the time and wants to try something more merry.

Sally is a rag doll that has trouble fitting in, like her good friend, Jack. Even though she has a bad feeling about making Christmas, she tries to support her friend's ambitious plan.

The Mayor of Halloween Town loves getting the town involved in the Halloween preparations. A man of many moods, he gets nervous when Jack goes on an adventure to Christmastown.

Oogie Boogie is the bug-filled, gambling Boogie Man of Halloween Town who is not a very polite host when Santa is brought to his hideout.

Dr. Finklestein, the mad scientist of Halloween Town, created Sally to have an intelligent companion to spend time with.

The lone girl of Oogie Boogie's group of henchmen, Shock is the most clever trick-or-treater in the bunch.

The devil-costumed Lock thinks of himself as the leader of his small pack of troublemakers.

Barrel is the youngest of the pack and can always be seen wearing a skeleton costume.
