Your Pre-Order is prioritised (at no additional charge); meaning that as soon as the product arrives with us, we can wrap it straight back up; ready for collection via Click & Collect or despatch to you — it often never even hits the stock room shelves!

With Pre-Launch , the date when we expect to receive the product ourselves is still a little too hazy to be confident in accepting Pre-Orders.

So, instead, you can submit your email address against the item you are interested in and we will email you as soon as stock arrives on the system.

Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates are given on Pre-Order and Pre-Launch products. They are for indication purposes only and can change at any time without notice.

The dates we provide are based on indications given by our suppliers. Whenever we get updated information from our suppliers we will endeavour to update the Estimated Delivery & Collection Dates provided on product pages.

Not happy with your purchase? Send it back to us or return in any of our stores and we will give you a full refund or exchange!

In the unlikely event that you are dissatisfied with your purchase please feel free to return your goods within 60 days of the purchase date for a full exchange or refund. Any item (excluding food and underwear) can be returned to us for any reason provided it is returned in ‘showroom condition’, with its original packaging, tags and a valid receipt/delivery note. Simply box up your items for return, include a cover note with the word REFUND or EXCHANGE inside & follow the below steps for safe return to our warehouse; where your return will be processed promptly.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the item is returned to us in a safe and secure manner, and in the event of a refund or exchange, in saleable condition (in original packaging and including all warranty, cards, manuals and accessories).

Bike & Bulky Item Returns

If you wish to return your bike to us please keep it in the box it arrived in and call us on 01772 644340 and we will arrange a collection.

Please note the following:

• a) If we have sent you the incorrect bicycle, we will cover the cost of collection and delivery of the correct model.
• b) If we have delivered the bicycle you ordered, but upon inspection you decide it is not the bike for you, we will charge you £50.00 for the collection.

Please do not ride the bike as a full refund cannot be given if the bike has been used or damaged.

Return Items to a store

Any item (excluding food and underwear) can be returned to any Leisure Lakes Bikes store not just the one you made your purchase at, including those made online. The item must be returned in ‘showroom condition’, with its original packaging, tags and with a valid receipt/delivery note.

Wrong size or you don't like the item?

If returning items that are not suitable for either refund or exchange you are accountable for the delivery cost in returning it to us. You should always keep proof of postage and we advise you to use a ‘signed for service’ when returning goods.

New faulty items/ Wrong Item Received

If you have received items that are faulty or not what you ordered send them back to us (using the steps above) and we will cover the delivery cost of the return if it is within 14 days of delivery. If we have supplied the correct product, it is not faulty or it is outside of the 14 days we can not be liable for your postage charges. You should always keep proof of postage and we advise you to use a ‘signed for service’ when returning goods.

In the event that you have received items that are fault or not what you ordered, please send them back to us as soon as possible. Only in these cases will we cover the cost of the return shipping charges.

Faulty Items

If you have received items that are faulty please send them back to us using the steps above. Please include a covering letter describing the fault and if you would like the item replacing or refunding. Once the item arrives back at our Mail Order Centre you will receive an email notifying you about the progress. Faulty items are then forwarded onto the suppliers to confirm the warranty issue. Please be patient with us as we need to receive this confirmation from the suppliers before we can process your request for a replacement/refund.

When returning the item please use Royal Mail1 st Class Recorded* so that you have a tracking reference just in case! If your item arrived faulty we will refund your postage cost. If the item was in full working order at the time of delivery to you, we can not refund your return postage cost.

*In the event that you return a faulty/incorrect item we will refund your postage charge as long as it is 1 st Class Recorded or a lesser value service. We do not refund premium services.

Refunds will be processed using the same method of payment used for the original purchase. Credit and debit card refunds must be made to the card used for the original transaction, cheque payments will be refunded in cash but due to banking restrictions can only be refunded at least 14 days after the original purchase date. Due to the high incidence of fraud we regret that we are unable to offer any refund without a valid receipt/delivery note.

Refunds will be made for faulty or incorrect items, including any delivery charge incurred by the buyer (excluding ‘Special Delivery’) in the return of the item. If the products you ordered are delivered to you in good condition but you wish to return them for any reason we will refund the full value of the goods excluding any carriage charge upon receipt of your returned goods.

Items won’t be considered lost until after 15 working days of items beingdispatched. Once the 15 working days are up we will issue a refund or replacement.

Not received your order?

If you have not received your order please call us on 01772 644340 and a member of staff can confirm the shipping date. Unfortunately we cannot consider an item to be lost until 15 working days has passed (according to Royal Mail procedure). Once the 15 working days have passed we will be able to issue a full refund or resend your order.

don't get a trek skye

Just got a trek skye s wsd (womans) bike. It is just junk. The gears don's shift, esp. from and to low range. The shocks are a total joke, the rims are weak. I kind of like the tires, too bad about the saddle and the shifters and the bars. I have trusted Trek in the past but they have pulled a fast one this time. the frame is a big question. I am thinking of trashing everything attached to the frame and building my own bike, a very expensive option. the shape I like but with so much crap put on that bike (a new 2010 mod.) I no longer trust that trek has my best interests at heart. If they cut costs on the frame too than I am wasting my time. The bike isn't even listed on the Trek web site. Specialized has many womans bikes, all nicer that the Trek. \Unlike the specialized, the skye is not offered with a good xt setup  

Totally useless post 1. If its not shifting right, bring it back to the LBS for adjustment 2. Its a base model bike designed for very light trail riding...good luck building your own bike for $300

reply to don't by the trek skye s I asked for the best trek wsd bike they had. I was assured that this was a new and better bike than any of the others. the price was not important, I liked the frame and trusted trek to put parts on that worked. The Specialized mica has a model with all deor parts and good forks too. I was told the trek was just as good. the skye sl is the only one in the lineup better but is not a big improvement as I don't care about disk breaks. A new bike should be able to shift in and out of low range. period. even walmart bikes do that sometimes. This one couldn't. I have now upgraded almost everything, still like the frame but it was not worth it. It's like this car is so cheep it doesn't have and engine, but the radio works well. trek is to provide a bike with parts that substandard. I work 6 days a week, ahve 2 kids and can't be spending my time researching bike's trying to weed out the crooks. A bike that doesn't ride is not worth 50 cents to anyone. Shame on trek.  

Well, it has no "shocks" at all, for starters; the fork is an entry level RST 100mm beginners' item. As pointed out by the other posters, the bike preforms as designed; the owner needs to learn to expect 'you get what you pay for' and some basic bike maintenance skills. The shop will tweak the fine tuning needed, probably for free. jc  

I wanted the best bike they had and Trek has allways been good for me. the shocks don't travel more than about 1 or 2cm and that only sometimes. It is not entry level or beginners, it just doesn't work at all and the shop couldn't fix it. New parts that work fixed it. No amount of tweeking is possible to make that lump of cheap junk function like a bike. It is a new, 2010 bike for goodness sake and didn't work out of the box. I have an old, 25 year + bike that is better in every way (it was a cheap one too). No, be warned, Trek is now in the junk business. I contacted them but they won't provide real parts for the bike, just expect me to pay to replace the toy "show parts" they provided.

If you have been riding for 25 years and are really just trashing trek over YOUR purchase that YOU chose to make.... Wow is right.. I smell a liar. A LBS wouldn't sell a non-functioning product, and if they did they would correct there mistake and fix it... I dont even know why I warranted your post with a response.  

I asked for the best trek wsd bike they had. Sounds like the dealer only HAD THE LOWER END MODELS IN STOCK. You get what you pay for. I was assured that this was a new and better bike than any of the others. Total dealer BS - not Trek's fault. How long of a test ride did you take the bike on?  

Give yourself a shake... the Fork (not shock) isn't made by TREK, nor are the other parts, just the frame. If things don't work, the frame maker isn't to blame, it's the assembler. *sigh* Jim  

Obviously since you want the best money is no object. Go back to your lbs and throw down about seven thou and tell them you want the best.  

Then he might get a carbon Specialized with DT 420 oem rims.  

trek skye s TREK chose the parts to put on the 2010 mod. Skye bike and not some underhanded crook in a back room. the parts (now in the garbage) were attached to the trek frame and there were no other setups offered. Trek is to blame for putting trash parts on a Trek frame and no one else. Trek profited by using cheap crap that doesn't work and they don't stand behind. Yes, they didn't make it, they just put it on and sold it. ching ching, **** on the buyer  

Do not by from Mongoose. I asked the wally world bike specialist for the best model they had on the floor and he pointed me to the blackcomb. What a POS. It does not shift. Front shock is a joke. rear shock does not move at all. BTW I weigh 120LBS. Disk brakes do not work. I work 7 days a week and do not have time to look for a better bike. Since I did not have time to do my research, I also don't have time to ride. Mongoose, you suck.

Fantastic. We've moved so far as a nation, that we leave our buying choices up to others. The Soviets and East Germans would have loved if people were so passive. They might still be around if they had it so easy.

I looked on the trek web site, guess what? No information. they don't seem to have a Skye bike in any better setup. Anyway, even a entry level bike should work. I trusted Trek and they let me down. As far as I know, mine is the ONLY review of this bike on the web. I have however looked up the components trek supplied and most others have the same exact problems with them. This was supposed to be a real bike, not just a thing that looks like a bike but won't go unless you replace the junk parts. I did ride the bike before I got it, but there are no hills or drops on the small spot they let me ride and I only had 10 min. to pick up the kids. It had a grind in the gears, I was told it could be fixed but you can't make plastic work like metal. Send trek a message, if you can't sell a bike that works, than don't sell it at all. They are just after the money. There are other low end parts that do work, and they are in use on the Specialized. the shock is so poor it may as well not be there. I havn't replaced the rear hub yet, maby I can salvage some of the original bike? The frame is still OK and that is what I was looking for in the test ride. I am still using my 25+ year old Bridgestone MB4 with totally outdated (and abused) drivetrain and it still works great.
