Get your vocal cords ready. It’s time for the rowdiest and wildest event on the PGA Tour. The WM Phoenix Open is back with an impressive field and beer-balls ready to go . As we head into Super Bowl weekend, this is the perfect way to gear up for the big game.

This year’s event will see Scottie Scheffler looking for a third straight win at TPC Scottsdale after a closing six-under 65 gave him a two-shot victory over Nick Taylor in 2023. It was Scheffler’s fifth PGA Tour title and lifted him back to World No. 1. He became the seventh golfer in tournament history to back-to-back.

Some top-ranked players looking to stop Scheffler’s winning ways include Wyndham Clark (last week’s winner at Pebble), Max Homa, Matt Fitzpatrick, Brian Harman, Jordan Spieth, Tom Kim, Justin Thomas and Sam Burns. JT is coming off of two top-10 finishes and could be gearing up for his first win since the 2022 PGA Championship.

The WM Phoenix Open will also be the last chance for pros to qualify into next week’s Genesis Invitational, a PGA Tour signature event, via the Aon Swing 5 in which the top five FedEx Cup points earners not already exempt can forge their own path to Riviera Country Club outside Los Angeles. Matthieu Pavon, Grayson Murray, Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Kevin Yu and Stephan Jaeger are the current top five, while Jake Knapp trails Jaeger by just 48 points.

The winner this week in the Arizona desert will receive 500 FedEx Cup points and a $1.584 million share of the $8.8 million purse.

2024 WM Phoenix Open: TV schedule, streaming, tee times, how to watch

The 2024 WM Phoenix Open begins February 8 at TPC Scottsdale.

Sarah Stier/Getty Images

This week the PGA Tour hits the ever-popular 2024 WM Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the event, including a full WM Phoenix Open TV schedule, streaming schedule and complete tee times for the first and second rounds.

WM Phoenix Open preview

Coming off a Signature (albeit soggy) Event at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, this week’s tournament is technically not one of them (definitely not when you compare the purse sizes), but no matter what label it receives, the WM Phoenix Open is one of the biggest events of the season every year.

In addition to regularly claiming the title of highest-attended Tour event, the Phoenix Open also features a party atmosphere unlike any other in golf, and a growing history to boot.

This week, twice-defending champion Scottie Scheffler will go for the three-peat to further solidify his No. 1 ranking, while fellow stars Justin Thomas , Jordan Spieth , Max Homa and many more will do everything they can to stop him.

Golf Channel and NBC will provide TV coverage of the WM Phoenix Open, while Peacock and ESPN+ will offer streaming coverage online.

You can find complete information about streaming the 2024 WM Phoenix Open online or watching the action on TV below.

2024 WM Phoenix Open: Live stream, watch online, TV schedule, channel, tee times, golf coverage

"the biggest party in golf" takes place this week in scottsdale, arizona.

wm-phoenix-open-signage.jpg

A couple of signature events sandwich the 2024 WM Phoenix Open, but that should have little effect on the atmosphere out in the Arizona desert. "The Greenest Show on Grass" ... "The Biggest Party in Golf" ... whatever you want to call it, the WM Phoenix Open once again welcomes a top-notch field and a rowdy crowd to its grounds this week.

The players are led by none other than world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who has history in his sights. The two-time defending champion looks to become the first golfer since Steve Stricker at the John Deere Classic (2009-11) to win a tournament three years in a row. Scheffler has enjoyed a solid start to his 2024 campaign by possessing the 36-hole lead at The Sentry and AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, but continued problems with the putter have held him back from entering the winner's circle.

A return to the site of his first victory sees to be what the doctor ordered to cure his putting woes. Scheffler sits among the top five of the leaderboard through two rounds and looks poised to continue progressing over the final 36 holes.

Scheffler is joined in the field by a number of his U.S. Ryder Cup teammates, including Justin Thomas (tied with Scheffler for fifth), Jordan Spieth, Sam Burns, Max Homa and last week's winner, Wyndham Clark. Both Homa and Clark call the Scottsdale area home and would love nothing more than to claim the title in front of friends and family.

Min Woo Lee, Sungjae Im, Tom Kim and Adam Scott make up a strong international contingent, while Cameron Young, Matt Fitzpatrick and Sahith Theegala are among the young players hoping to shoot into contention.

For fans, whether they’re golfers or not, the annual WM Phoenix Open (WMPO) is known as the “Greatest Show on Grass.” In addition to playing host to the greatest players in the game, the tournament is the PGA TOUR’s best-attended event – drawing over 500,000 enthusiastic spectators each year. As one of the first events on the PGA TOUR calendar, The WM Phoenix Open kicks off the year with a bang. Whether you want to party with friends (if that’s the case, don’t miss out on the 16 th hole!) or actually watch golf, keep reading for our insider tips.

TELL ME ABOUT THE 16TH HOLE

Also known as the loudest hole in golf, the par-3 16th hole at the TPC Scottsdale Stadium Course draws a historically raucous crowd. Surrounded on all sides by very vocal fans, the 16th is a sight to be seen - especially during Saturday’s third round, when it can be a long wait for general admission seats.

CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS WHEN I ARRIVE?

Yes! You can purchase tickets on-site at ticket booths located at the tournament entrance as well as Van's Golf Shops and PGA TOUR Superstore locations around the Phoenix Metro.

CAN I BRING A BAG INTO THE GAME?

Your opaque bag must not exceed 4.5" x 6.5" in its natural state. Clear bags cannot exceed 12” x 6” x 12”. There is no bag check available, so make sure you’re prepared, otherwise, you will have to return to the car. If you’re taking rideshare, you will have no other option than to throw everything away. You can find a list of non-approved bags here .

WHEN DO THE GATES OPEN?

Gates open each morning at 7 a.m.

Yes! This year all concessions are cashless. Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card & American Express are accepted. Find concessions stands on this map .

2024 Waste Management Phoenix Open preview

The Waste Management Phoenix Open is this week, and the PGA Tour gets to Phoenix and Scottsdale for one of the biggest tournaments of the year outside the majors. It's such a fun week at TPC Scottsdale, and the field is quite good -- although not as good as last year's $20 million bonanza.

2024 Waste Management Phoenix Open rankings: Top 10 expert picks

1. Scottie Scheffler : The two-time defending champion had put together a nice little week at Pebble before the weather torpedoed the Sunday finish.

2. Justin Thomas : Thomas struggled with putting on poa at Pebble, but that's everyone. This is a prime week for him to break through.

3. Xander Schauffele : Xander could be second or first on this list, and he's one of a few true horse-for-course plays this week. (And, he WD'd at lunchtime on Monday.)

4. Wyndham Clark : Clark was brilliant on Saturday at Pebble, and that was good enough to win the title. Have to rank him higher based on that win.

5. Jordan Spieth : Spieth has a good record here the last few years, but it's been overshadowed by Scheffler's run.

6. Max Homa : Homa wasn't having the best week at Pebble Beach it seems, but he has otherwise been off to a good start this year.

7. Cameron Young : I'm going to try to make a connection to Dubai here, where Young nearly won the Dubai Desert Classic a few weeks back.

8. JT Poston : Poston continues playing well pretty much anywhere at any time. No reason to believe that won't continue.

9. Sam Burns : Burns might be playing himself into form at the right time, and he probably can learn a lot about this venue from his buddy, Scottie.

10. Min Woo Lee : MWL is going to be a guy I bet quite a bit this year if I can get him at the right price. His power game should work well here with the proper control.
