• Fill out all information correctly and submit the required documents.
• Pay the UAE visit visa price.
• Finally, submit the application.

If you fill out the form correctly, send the necessary documents, and pay the fee, you just have to wait for approval.

Application at an Amer center

There is the possibility of submitting the 90-day visa application in person through one of the AMER centers. The procedure is the next:

• Go to the AMER center most convenient for you.
• At the reception, you must apply for the long-term visit visa service.
• Submit the necessary documents.

• Submit your request.

If approved, you will receive a notification to the email address you provided with your visa application. Residents, tourists and job-seekers are among those who will benefit as the UAE rolled out its largest set of residence visa and entry reforms. The Advanced Visa System was implemented on October 4.

According to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP), the new scheme includes more than 15 types of visas, such as those for tourists, job-seekers, Golden and Green residencies and entry permits for truck drivers through land ports.

This guide explains the different visas, what has changed, targeted categories and approximate cost (fees have been calculated as per information available on the ICP and GDRFA websites; and inputs from typing centre agents and experts. They may vary.)

This five-year visa targets skilled employees, freelancers and investors. The self-sponsored residency allows holders to sponsor their spouses, children and first-degree relatives.

>> Freelancers need a permit from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. They need proof of income (minimum Dh360,000 annually over last two years), or prove financial solvency throughout their stay in the UAE.

>> Skilled employees need to be classified in the first, second or third occupational level as per the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) and have a minimum monthly salary of Dh15,000.

Total cost: Dh3,175 (Approximate cost includes medical testing, visa and Emirates ID fees)

Job exploration visa

Single-entry permit targets young talents and skilled professionals. It is issued for 60, 90 or 120 days. The visa is granted to those classified in the first, second or third skill level as per Mohre. Fresh graduates from the best 500 universities in the world can apply as well, and candidates should have earned at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.

Total cost including Dh1,025 security deposit:

• 60 days: Dh1,495
• 90 days: Dh1,655
• 120 days: Dh1,815

Business entry visa

Single-entry visa is issued for 60, 90 or 120 days. It does not require a sponsor or host and encourages investors and entrepreneurs to explore business and investment opportunities in the UAE.

Total cost including security deposit:

5-year multi-entry tourist visa for all nationalities

Holders of this visa will be able to stay in the UAE for up to 90 continuous days, and it may be extended for a similar period. The entire period of stay should not exceed 180 days in a year.

This visa requires proof of having a bank balance of $4,000 or its equivalent in foreign currencies during a six-month period prior to submitting the application.

Cost: Dh650 (without insurance)

Golden Visa

>> Skilled professionals: Minimum monthly salary requirement reduced from Dh50,000 to Dh30,000

Do I need a visa for the UAE?

UAE visa on arrival

If you are a passport holder of the below country or territory, no advance visa arrangements are required to visit the UAE. Simply disembark your flight at Dubai International and proceed to immigration, where your passport will be stamped with a 30-day visit visa free of charge.

90-day visit eligibility

If you are a passport holder of one of the below countries or territories, your passport will be stamped with a multiple entry 90-day visit visa that's valid for 6 months from the date of issue, and for a stay of 90 days in total. Citizens of the below European countries are also entitled to apply for a pre-arranged visit visa if their 90-day visa on arrival has been fully utilized.

180-day visit eligibility

If you hold a Mexican passport you’re eligible for a multiple entry 180-day visit visa that's valid for 6 months from the date of issue, and for a stay of 180 days in total.

Dubai immigration procedures

As an added security measure, Immigration Authorities at Dubai International are now conducting random visual screening for visitors to Dubai.

Visitors asked to proceed for visual screening are required to present a hard copy of their visa or a printed version of the visa number confirmation page at the screening counter. If you do not have a copy of your visa with you, a charge of AED 30 per copy applies, payable only in AED.

Before you travel to the UAE, please check your visa requirements and make sure you have a valid visa if needed, or if your passport needs to be valid for six months. Holders of non-standard passports and travel documents may also have different entry requirements: find out if you need to apply for a visa and other passport requirements.

As of April 29, 2016, GCC residence permit holders will need to apply for a UAE visa before arriving in Dubai.

New visit entry permit to the UAE for Indian nationals

From January 7, 2024, eligible Indian nationals with a normal passport valid for a minimum of six months can obtain a single entry, 14-day visa on arrival. A fee of USD 63 applies.

• Sponsor or applicant will be responsible for a visitor overstay and overstay fines.
• A Refundable deposit of AED 1,000 for friend. Sponsor must claim the deposit within a maximum of two years from the application submission date.
• Refund of visa fee before processing of an application, AED 50 will be deducted on refund process.
• Visa fees must be paid upon application.
• Additional visa processing fees may apply.
• Visa fees are nonrefundable.
• The ticket is non-refundable if the visa has been issued and utilized.

• Entry into the UAE is subject to immigration approval.
• All visas are valid to enter Dubai for 60 days from the date of issue, except the 96-hour and 48-hour visas, which are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

In a move aimed at streamlining entry processes for tourists and visitors, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced revised visit visa fees for Pakistani nationals, effective immediately from June 2024.

Under the updated fee structure, Pakistani citizens applying for a 30-day tourist visa will now be required to pay AED 200, while those opting for a 60-day visa will incur a fee of AED 300. These fees are subject to an additional 5% value-added tax (VAT), in line with the UAE's taxation policies.

Moreover, applicants who are already within the UAE and wish to obtain or extend their visa will face supplementary charges. These include Knowledge and Innovation Dirham fees amounting to AED 20, alongside an in-country processing fee of AED 500.

To streamline the application process, interested individuals must submit a personal photo, a copy of their passport, their national identity card (for specified nationalities), valid UAE medical insurance, and proof of onward or return travel. Applications can be conveniently processed through the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) website or its smart application.

The UAE's decision to update its visa fee structure underscores its commitment to enhancing transparency and accessibility within its tourism sector. By simplifying visa procedures and ensuring clarity in fee structures, the UAE aims to maintain its status as a premier travel destination in the Gulf region.

Travelers are advised to consult the official GDRFA website or local UAE-based travel agencies for the most up-to-date information on visa requirements and application procedures.

US dollar was being quoted at 277.7 for buying and 280.85 for selling.

Euro's buying rate stands at 294.3 and selling rate is 297.9 while British Pound rate is 352 for buying, and 355.5 for selling.

UAE Dirham AED was at 75 and Saudi Riyal at 72.85.
