Taylor Swift Has Fans Sobbing, Squealing, Soaring On 'Red' Tour

Newark, New Jersey -- "Sometimes, you have just too many emotions in one day, that you don't know which one to write about."

It was mid-set and Taylor Swift sat at red grand piano, pushing in the keys with casual preciseness. Her wavy blonde hair fell around her shoulders as she sang. Her eyes glistened. She looked directly at the main camera, projecting the intense, sad feeling she had on her face onto the big screen.

Around the Prudential Center on Thursday, groups of teens clutched their friends' hands while Swift solemnly called out the melody of "All Too Well," a song she had written about a breakup. A couple in Section 8 cried in each other's arms.

But it didn't stay beautifully somber for long. Throughout the Red Tour stop, Taylor Swift took the audience through a string of emotions -- from blissful to hopeful to revengeful to romantic. Or, as the singer sums it up in one fiery, all-encompassing color: red. The emotions tied to the color, seen everywhere from her microphone to her sparkly oxford shoes, are seen as a challenge, Taylor told the audience. They're something we learn from, grow from and use to become the people we'll end up as.

Swift's had a lot of those emotions along her lifelong voyage as a singing superstar — betrayal, jealousy, falling in love. A video montage took concertgoers through her life, starting when she was 1 year old, to when she got her first guitar, to school musicals, to recording her first song, to global stardom. All the while, she was following her dream, and tossing down haters along the way.

Sitting on a treasure chest, plucking the tinny strings of her banjo reminded her of that journey. "This brings me back to the stuff I used to daydream about when I was a kid," she said, scanning the arena before heading off into "Mean," from 2010's Speak Now. (But the New Jersey crowd looked even better than her childhood dreams, she revealed.)

The night was filled with Red , taking us from the bubbly, love proclamation of "Stay Stay Stay" to the dangerous, dub-stepper "I Knew You Were Trouble" to the carpe diem attitude of "22." When one moment there was screaming and bouncing, five more minutes brought fist-pumping anger. Another five minutes ushered in sobs and unison cries over love gone sour. TSwizzle got fans rowdy and "rewarded" them with special guest Tyler Glenn from Neon Trees. The duo teamed up for the band's "Everybody Talks," jumping around the stage and grinding out the song's catchy chorus in harmony.

Set themes ranged from masquerade party to old-time cinema, but it still came as a surprise when Taylor put a doo-wop spin on "You Belong With Me." Watching the glittery backup dancers, complete with curly bobs and long gloves, I felt like I should've been in the '50s at the local diner, eating a burger and a malt instead of the Coke and candy I scarfed down backstage at Club Red. The superstar onstage was way more glammed up than the same, casual girl we met before the show, when a few select fans and media got access to Swift's hidden arena hangout.

Although Swift has a lot to reflect on, at 23, she still has a long career ahead of her, which accompanies her highly speculated personal life. "They're building you up just to knock you down," she said, addressing the media coverage around her relationships and her penchant from writing ballads about boys. ("I've been told I write a lot of breakup songs." It's true, she admitted.) They haven't brought her down yet, Taylor added, empowered, before singing about the loneliness of fame in "The Lucky One."

She's rubbed off on her fans. Many of them toted signs imparting her lyrical wisdom ("Dream impossible dreams," one read). Others took on her carefree "22" persona and donned cat ears. But mostly everyone wore red.

And really, "Red" is the only way to summarize the magic of the hectic, exhausting night. Because by the time you waded through the thousands pouring out on Mulberry Street, you'd experienced every different kind of emotion in only two hours. That's Red.

Background [ ]

On October 25, 2012, in partnership with ABC News on the prime-time TV special All Access Nashville with Katie Couric – A Special Edition of 20/20, Swift announced that she would be launching a North American stadium and arena tour in early 2013 in support of her fourth studio album, Red . During a radio interview with WRVW, Swift mentioned that "It's nothing like any other tour before."

Swift told Billboard : "Of course, you know the tour will be a big representation of this record," Swift tells Billboard . "I'm so excited to see what songs the fans like the most and which ones jump to the forefront, because that's the first step. We always see which songs are really the passionate songs and the ones the fans are freaking out over the most, and those are the ones that are definitely in the set list. I can't wait for that."

Swift used Tom Petty's " American Girl " as her entrance song on her previous tour but now takes the stage to Lenny Kravitz's version of "American Woman". She sings a cover of The Lumineers's "Ho Hey" nightly, intertwined with her own "Stay Stay Stay".

Her meet and greet room for the tour was called Club Red .

Stage design [ ]

The stage for the Red tour is when Swift really started getting creative with her stage designs and therefore, add a more evolved look to her live shows. In fact, the shape of the Red Tour stage is very unique, it is in a U shape, with two pits, divided by a catwalk within the U stage. This permitted for fans to feel closer to Taylor during the show and have many interactions.

The main stage catwalk also had a crane that Swift went on during " Treacherous " and " We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together " for the show encore.

There was also a B stage at the back of the venue, with a round-shaped platform that lifted up. Swift would perform the surprise song of the set on this stage.

During the shows in Asia, the stage was been modified with several cuts, including:

  • The U stage was completely removed and replaced by a standard T-shaped catwalk
  • The overhead screen above the stage were removed, and there was only one back screen, not three.
  • Many lighting were reduced.
  • The crane at catwalk, the lifted platform on B stage and floating constellation during " Sparks Fly " was removed.

Backstage With Taylor Swift on Her Huge Summer Stadium Tour

By Patrick Doyle

Patrick Doyle

“Were you as sweaty as I was tonight?” Taylor Swift asks as she takes a seat on one of the many padded blue tables in the NFL training room at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium. That would be a no: She just wrapped a seriously athletic two-hour show in which she breakdanced, led a psychedelic drum circle and jumped down from the stage to high-five hundreds of fans.

“It’s kind of exhilarating, walking through a crazy, insane mob,” she says. “The most miraculous process is watching a song go from a tiny idea in the middle of the night to something that 55,000 people are singing back to you.”

Swift’s Red tour documents her wild ride from twangy teen singer-songwriter to dubstep-dabbling pop megastar. The massive production – which includes a 190-foot stage with a catwalk and a staircase onstage, nine huge video screens and a dozen backup dancers – feels surprisingly intimate, partly because of Swift’s habit of going on long confessional tangents.

“I am getting to the point where the only love worth being in is the love worth singing about,” she says. “Sitting on a bedroom floor crying is something that makes you feel really alone. If someone’s singing about that feeling, you feel bonded to that person. That’s the only way I can find an explanation for why 55,000 people would want to come see me sing.”

The New Immortals: Taylor Swift

While Swift designed the 2011 Speak Now tour in the vein of A Midsummer Night’s Dream , she took a new approach this year. “I picture this taking place in New York City,” she says of the stage show. “And so you got you’ve got high intensity excitement and you’ve got the darkness of all of it and you’ve got all the fleeting moments of reality, and it’s a little bit less of a fairy tale.”

The show also includes openers that have included Ed Sheeran (who opens all shows of the tour), Austin Mahone and Joel Crouse. “I want people’s head spinning at everything they saw and heard,” says Swift.

Editor’s picks

Every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term, the 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history.

“She really has every single thing you could expect from a big show,” says Sheeran, who adds he’s had to adapt his set for Swift’s audience. “I’ve stopped swearing so much when I perform, because there are a lot of young kids in the crowd.”

Sheeran has also faced the challenge of filling a stadium with only an acoustic guitar. “I’ve been trying to work out my own way of doing it,” he says. “My show is a lot more off-the-cuff [than Swift’s]. I’ll decide to play a song, like, two minutes before, so it’s less regimented.”

Before tonight’s show, Swift attended four fan meet-and-greets and ran through a quick soundcheck with special guest Patrick Stump, who rose onstage in an elevator to surprise fans with Fall Out Boy ‘s “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up).” “It’s my jam!” says Swift.

Adds Stump, “She started talking to me about the hydraulics [of the elevator], and I’m like, ‘It’s crazy how good at this you are. You know all your shit.'”

Since her stadium gigs happen mostly on weekends, Swift has spent plenty of downtime lately at her new beachside mansion in Rhode Island. “There have been a lot of kitchen dance parties with my girlfriends,” she says. She’s been listening to tons of Carly Simon (who just joined her onstage in Massachusetts) and devouring novels, from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Tender Is the Night to Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl and Jess Walter’s Beautiful Ruins. “They’re great stories, and they kind of take you away,” she says. And she’s already putting together a wish list of collaborators for her fifth album: “I’m jumping in headfirst.”

After the show, her workday still isn’t quite done. She has one more meet-and-greet scheduled in Club Red, a shrine decked out in photos of Swift and old stage costumes. This one is reserved for fans dressed in the most outrageous costumes: Several girls wear tutus, and there’s one dude covered head to toe in red plastic Solo cups. The chatty room falls silent when Swift arrives at midnight. One young fan from Long Island starts crying in the corner. Soon, Swift hugs two girls from the Netherlands, who hand her some waffle-and-syrup cookies from back home. “Oh, my God, I love these,” Swift says with a gasp. “Are these for me to keep?” They nod.

Taylor Swift Confirms Eras Tour Will Officially End in December

Trump brings obsession with powerful women who oppose him to the capitol, taylor swift, ariana grande, demi lovato are in their regency eras on 'bridgerton' soundtrack.

Later, as the Dutch girls wait for a train back into New York, they’re still buzzing. “I’m so happy,” one of them says, staring at a photo of herself with Swift that she’s already uploaded to Instagram. “That was the greatest moment of my life.”

Here is the full Q&A from our interview with Swift:

Onstage, you discussed writing a lot of songs in your bedroom at 2 a.m. What’s it like to go from that to playing it for a huge stadium? I think the most miraculous process is watching a song go from a tiny idea that you have in the middle of the night to a song that a group of 55,000 people is singing back to you so loudly that you can hear it louder than your own voice coming out of the speakers, in a concert in a stadium. And I think that for me, that’s the final part of the process. You know, I’m still so in love with songwriting because it’s never the same. You never get the same fragment of information as an idea. It’s never just a chorus or a first line – it’s always something different. And to piece it together in the crossword puzzle that ends up being your song and have it end up here is so rewarding, you know.

You also talked about the “ fiery, difficult, complicated emotions “ that drive those songs. You seem very comfortable talking about those emotions at length onstage. I am getting to a point where the only love worth being in is the love worth singing about. And kind of mad love. I think that for me, when you experience something that’s worth writing a song about, chances are it’s the same kind of intense feeling that someone else has felt, and it has led them to be sitting on a bedroom floor crying, or walking through a crowded room feeling alone or feeling misunderstood by the person who’s supposed to know them better than anybody else. Those are things that make you feel really alone, and if someone’s singing a song about that feeling, then you feel bonded to that person, and I guess that’s the only way I can find an explanation why 55,000 people would want to come see me sing .

The show gets pretty dark. During “ Red, “ there ‘ s a moment where what looks like blood is spilling across the video screens. Is that somebody ‘ s blood? Actually, no. I’ve never been into shock value and gory and scaring people. It’s actually paint, so it’s actually just supposed to be the general concept of something red and something flowing – just red things. Like, there’s red fabric, red paint being thrown against a wall. It’s not blood. “God, we went to Taylor’s show – it was really violent!”

What did you do today? I was wondering what you do on a day when you play a show like this. It’s a pretty hectic day. And it started with two really big meals. I eat a really big breakfast.

When is your first one? That’s at 10 a.m. And then I drive to the venue, get to the venue. We did soundcheck with Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy. I’ve been so excited for it for so long, because that song has been my jam for a really long time. Anyways, I did soundtrack with Patrick Stump and ran a few things in the stadium and then went to catering and had a really big lunch.

What ‘ d you eat? I don’t know, just whatever they have, because that’s gotta carry me through pretty much the show and the meet-and-greets, because hair and makeup starts at 4:30, and then I have four different meet-and-greets before the show. And then before the show we have a huddle where one of us makes an inspirational speech. Patrick’s the one who made it tonight, which was wonderful. And then we go and walk into a stadium and play a show for two hours.

After the Speak Now tour, this one even seems a little bigger. You have the levitating and the Victorian dresses and the chandeliers. Did you have a specific way of thinking on  what this tour would be like? I did, actually. I thought a lot about how this tour was going to be different from the Speak Now tour. I was really proud of the Speak Now tour, but I’m proud of this tour for a different reason. When I was conceptualizing this tour from the very beginning, I thought about how if these two shows were to exist in two different worlds, I picture the Speak Now tour existing in a Midsummer Night’s Dream/Romeo and Juliet -inspired fantasyland, and I picture this taking place in New York City. And so you’ve got high intensity excitement and you’ve got the darkness of all of it and you’ve got all the fleeting moments of reality, and it’s a little bit less of a fairy tale.

Ed Sheeran has opened all the shows on the tour, but you are also rotating lots of other openers like Austin Mahone, Joel Crouse, Florida Georgia Line – kind of like your own traveling festival. I have a pretty wide, eclectic taste in music, and I know my fans do too. We seem to have that in common. I want fans to leave the show at the end of the night with their heads spinning from everything they saw and heard. I want them to fall in love with a new artist as much as I want them to fall in love with ballet or dubstep or musical theater, and all of the other elements in the Red show they may not have seen before. Variety in entertainment can be so inspiring, and that’s why I like to create different worlds with each song. It’s why I like surprising the crowd with special guest performances they didn’t expect. The fans have made my world a magical place to live in, and I guess this tour is me trying to do the same for them.

Does giving these acts a shot have any connection to the idea that a lot of acts, like Rascal Flatts, Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw, gave you a chance early on? I’ll never forget the people who gave me a chance to open up for them early on in my career. When I was a teenager, my biggest lessons came from Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, George Strait, Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley. I learned so much from opening up for those artists, and it also taught me how to treat your opening acts and make them feel like they’re part of a family, not just a tour. It’s why we all hang out so much and go out to dinner and celebrate our achievements together. For me, it was the coolest feeling in the world when I realized Austin, Ed and I had all gotten nominated for VMAs. I’m so proud of them.

How do you feel you have grown as a performer, especially in stadiums? I feel like you have to push yourself in order to become a better performer, and I never want a fan to leave the show saying, “That was just like the last tour.” I like touring extensively because I think the more hours you spend onstage, the more you know who you are onstage. The more you throw yourself out of your comfort zone in the studio, the more colors you have to paint with when you go into the design stages of your tour. At the end of the day, the sound of a screaming crowd is my favorite sound, and the sight of a sold-out stadium is my favorite view. Everything derives from that and revolves around making those people dance, sing along, feel like they aren’t alone, and ultimately want to come back and see me next time.

What are some of the weirder thoughts going through your head onstage during the show? Tonight I was particularly hung up on not chipping another tooth like last show in Pittsburgh, definitely. It had a tip on [the tooth] and it doesn’t anymore. I try to be really quick with the microphone, so I’m not standing there just waiting to sing with my mic right next to my face, so I really quickly pulled my mic up to sing and basically uppercut punched myself in the tooth. And then part of it fell onto the stage and I was like, “Oh, I wonder how bad that was. I wonder which tooth that is and I wonder how bad that is,” and I was just trying not to chip another one tonight. I’m not doing anything about it. It’s just gonna be a little bit jagged, I guess.

Sometimes I get really caught up in reading the signs, and if I get too caught up I will start to read the signs when I’m singing, so I have to make sure I’m only reading signs in musical breaks. [The signs] are all pretty out there most of the time, which I like. There will be people who just make a giant, huge picture of my cat’s face, so big that it’s all I can see, and that usually gets my attention. My cat out there, giant photocopy of her, eight foot by eight foot.

You ‘ re at home, basically. Right – “this is so cozy!”

You walk through the crowd during “ Sparks Fly. “ Is that scary, having thousands of people trying to get to you? No. You know, you get scratched a little bit, but that’s nothing to be scared of. It’s really cool to make eye contact with someone while you’re singing. To be able to travel through the entire crowd and sort of surprise people who didn’t think they were going to get up close to a performance – I think that’s one of my favorite things about having a stage in different parts. It’s kind of exhilarating actually, walking through a crazy, insane mob of people.

You posted some images from your Fourth of July party you had this summer. What are your other favorite offstage moments of the summer so far? I think the Fourth of July was way up there, just because anytime there’s face-painting and frolicking involved, I’m really excited about all of those things. I’ve loved really being with my girlfriends a lot. Like, there have been a lot of kitchen dance parties with my girlfriends. The wonderful thing about playing a lot of stadiums is it’s the equivalent to playing three or four arenas, so you have a few more days off. So I’ve really enjoyed getting to have a summer and also have a really high-intensity job waiting for me.

Taylor Swift performed her 100th Eras Tour show last night in Liverpool, which came after the hitmaker stunned Scottish fans last weekend in Edinburgh - and tonight, she'll do it all over again.

The Eras Tour sees the American singer, 34, perform for more than three hours to thousands of fans. Crooning more than 45 songs from her back catalogue, the Anti-Hero singer leaves her fans stunned as she sings and dances non-stop, in all weathers - whether that be rain, shine, or bitterly cold British wind.

Taylor, who is dating Kansas City Chiefs hunk Travis Kelce , has planted her feet firmly on UK soil, with her having recently performed a trio of shows in Scotland , with her taking to the stage on June 7, 8 and 9 at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium.

And now the hitmaker will take to the stage in Liverpool tonight to perform at the Anfield Stadium, with her due to perform for three nights in a row on June 13, 14 and 15. It is rumoured that tonight, June 13, which happens to be Taylor's 100th Eras Tour show, will see her either make a huge announcement, or bring out a special guest - although this is currently unknown.

The hitmaker will then move further down the country to Wales a couple of nights later, where she will then perform one show on June 18 at the Principality Stadium.

Mere days later, Taylor will then perform another trio of shows at London's Wembley Arena (June 21, 22, 23), before heading further afield throughout Europe. But Taylor won't stay away from UK soil for too long, with her due back in the capital for a further five sold-out shows (August 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20).

Taylor will likely be supported by boyfriend Travis while performing for sold-out crowds in the UK, with the KCC tight end expected to travel to the UK from the United States to support his girlfriend. And when he does get to witness the iconic and hotly-anticipated world tour, Travis will get to hear the song Taylor penned about him from her new album, The Tortured Poets Department - So High School - which she croons during the TTPD setlist after singing But Daddy I Love Him.

viagogo and resale tickets

Sites such as Viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.

Fans attending live events with tickets acquired through resale websites are advised to double check the ticket terms and conditions at the point of sale - such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation - to ensure a smooth live event experience. Tickets could be voided if they were found to be bought second-hand. As a result, fans are buying at their own risk.

With that said, viagogo also commented: "viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the guarantee."

How to get tickets to the Eras Tour

Taylor Swift tickets are up for grabs on resale sites right now. Sites such as viagogo and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that many event promoters say tickets should not be resold after initial purchase and will not be valid for admittance to gigs.

The most available Eras Tour tickets are on viagogo and Vivid Seats . If you would rather look at official channels to buy tickets, Ticketmaster could be your best bet. The retailer's official resale service attempts to combat rising prices on the second-hand market. However, there are few options.

Fans share their excitement over the weather today in Liverpool

The sun has come out for Taylor's second night at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool.

Yesterday's weather started out typically British with some clouds and rain. Thankfully the rain stopped before Taylor took the stage, though it did cause the opening band Paramore's set to run late.

But today fans posted on Twitter that the sun is shining and the clouds are sparse as fans let out a sigh of relief and put their rain ponchos away.

Taylor shares sweet moment with Travis Kelce from Liverpool

Taylor shared a sweet moment with her beau Travis Kelce after her show in Liverpool last night, despite her being in the United Kingdom and him being back in the United States.

Last night, Taylor stormed the stage at Anfield in Liverpool , England, with the starlet coming off stage a little after 11pm. But the energetic hitmaker didn't go straight to sleep after her gig, because at around 3am she was watching a live stream as a boyfriend, Travis, received a Super Bowl ring.

After Travis' team, The Kansas City Chiefs, won the Super Bowl back in February, he and his teammates have been presented with their Super Bowl rings. For those not in the know, a Super Bowl ring is a beautifully designed piece of jewellery which is given to each player on the team which won the Super Bowl as a memento of their individual achievement.

As seen in screenshots shared on X, Taylor joined Chariah Gordon's Instagram Live from the ceremony. Commenting on the Live, Taylor wrote: "AHHHHHHH" and "JOINING THE PARTY FROM LIVERPOOL LETS GOOOOOOOO."

The hitmaker then penned: "Gotta go to sleep it's so late here. Love you guys," complete with a slew of red heart emojis.

Taylor halted Liverpool gig amid 'sniffly nose' after battling cold weather in the UK

Taylor Swift halted her gig in Liverpool last night as she endured a 'sniffly nose' after battling cold weather in the UK, which comes after a 'chaotic' opening to the night.

Last night at Anfield, Taylor could be seen wiping her nose before singing a surprise song mash-up during her acoustic set . Before crooning a medley of Cornelia Street and Maroon, Taylor held a tissue in her hands before wiping her nose.

She said: "We'll be fine," before saying: "I can do it with a sniffly nose," which was a blatant and sweet nod towards her song, I Can Do It With A Broken Heart, from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.

Taylor and dancers struggle as they suffer ‘most chaotic Eras Tour opening yet’

Taylor and her dance troop seemingly struggled as they suffered the ‘most chaotic Eras Tour opening yet’ , according to fans on social media who shared clips from last night in Liverpool.

Fans have said that Taylor endured "the most CHAOTIC Eras Tour opening yet" as she "almost didn't go on the platform in time" during her opening song, Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince.

When Taylor arrives on stage, there are massive multi-colored fabric fan-shaped pieces of material flowing around on stage. Taylor then emerges from underneath them and jumps onto a platform which rises up into the air. In the clip, the hitmaker could be seen struggling to jump onto the platform in time, leaving fans a little worried and concerned.

Reacting to the video shared on social media, one person replied: "idk if it’s cuz it’s windy or if the platform didn’t bring taylor up in time…or a combo of those things." Another then said: "it looks like the first lift didn’t bring her up fast enough. Kam [her dancer] had to step down cuz it wasn’t flush yet."

Study reveals the best time for Swifties to take a toilet break during the Eras tour

With a whopping 45 songs on the setlist, it has now been revealed what time is the best time to dash to the toilet for a quick loo break.

Victorian Plumbing has analysed the tour to help you know when is best to go, and according to the plumbing company, there are three songs that are ideal to nip to the toilets.

Victorian Plumbing has estimated that the average person needs to go to the bathroom once every 2 hours and 8 minutes, meaning it's more than likely nature will call during the gig.

Alex Woods at Victorian Plumbing recommends three of the best songs which may be the perfect opportunity for a bathroom break.

1. The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived

“One of the best options to escape for a quick toilet break is during The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived. The track is one of Taylor’s newer releases and currently is the least streamed song included on her predicted setlist (excluding surprise songs). Therefore, it’s unlikely to be one of your favourites and may be the optimum time to run to the loo. Plus, it lasts 4 minutes and 5 seconds - just the right amount of time to make it to the toilets and back before the end.”

2. Cruel Summer

“Cruel Summer is Taylor’s most streamed song, meaning that the queues during this part of her set will likely be at the lowest level with Swifties staying put for their favourite tune. But yet again, this may not be the ideal time as the chances are it’s one of your top picks too...“

3. All Too Well (10 Minute Version)

“All Too Well is Taylor’s longest song expected in her set, lasting 10 minutes to be exact. This gives fans the longest time to get to the toilet and back to their seat without missing another song. The song is also a fan favourite, meaning queues will be a lot shorter than some of her other less popular songs. But this also means it’s likely to be one of your favourites too, which could potentially rule it out as an option.”

Jurgen Klopp is a Swiftie - Liverpool manager returns to Anfield

Jurgen Klopp , the former Liverpool FC manager, recently announced his return to Anfield for Taylor Swift's debut concert in Liverpool .

The 56-year-old, who bid an emotional goodbye to fans when he stepped down as manager last season, attended the record-breaking Eras tour with his wife Ulla. The legendary manager confirmed his attendance on Instagram , sharing a short video clip with his followers on Thursday. He captioned the post: "Going back to a place I know 'All Too Well'... See you at Anfield @TaylorSwift."

In the video, Klopp said: "So! Back in Liverpool and now it's Taylor time. So three things I had to do today. No I had two. A barber appointment with Umut then... we're going out to Anfield", reports the Liverpool Echo . "First time going to not for a football game but in the stands and watching Taylor Swift . So yeah, I'm not Taylor made obviously... but Taylor ready.

"Let's go to Anfield and have a good night. A great night would be cool. See you there."

Taylor played very rare song while giving sweet nod to Liverpool

Taylor played a very rare song while giving a super sweet nod to Liverpool at The Eras Tour last night at Anfield , with the hitmaker wowing fans with two medleys.

Taylor always does something to make fans feel special, and last night's show was no different. Amid rife speculation that she could be making an announcement, Taylor paid tribute to Liverpool when she made a sweet nod to the city with her surprise songs.

During the acoustic set, Taylor treated fans to a mash up of I Can See You with Mine, and then a second mash up with Cornelia Street with Maroon.

Speaking about singing I Can See You, Taylor told the crowds: "Last time I was in Liverpool, I was shooting a music video." The music video features actors Joey King and Taylor's ex-boyfriend Taylor Lautner, along with writer and musician Presley Cash, who work together in the video to free Taylor Swift from a vault.

Liverpool review: Singer rivals Beatlemania as Eras Tour wows Anfield crowd

Mirror reporter Scarlett O'Toole attended the 100th Eras Tour show last night in Liverpool. She witnessed the American hitmaker perform to more than 50,000 fans last night as the popstar took to the stage.

The singer's impressive set lasted for more than three hours and was divided into the different eras of each of the albums that the hitmaker has released. Taylor opened with Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince from her 2019 album Lover, with the crowd breaking out into deafening applause.

Mirror reporter Scarlett wrote in her dedicated review of the gig : "Even with the classic British Summer of rain and freezing temperatures, the crowd's enthusiasm never faltered.

"Rain ponchos went on to protect the custom-made glitter outfits and luckily, Taylor brought the sun with her, with the rain stopping by the time she graced the stage."

And amid the rife speculation that a big announcement could be coming, she added: "While many might be disappointed that Paul McCartney didn't appear as a special guest and an announcement wasn't made, it was still certainly a night to remember."

Taylor Swift fans escorted away from stadium at Liverpool concert by security

Taylor Swift fans reportedly didn't get to see her entire concert in full last night in Liverpool.

During her 100th Eras Tour show, which took place last night at Anfield in Liverpool, a Mirror reporter witnessed three girls being escorted out of the stadium by security.

A reporter from The Mirror observed nine security guards walking three girls out of Taylor's concert at Anfield Stadium. The three women appeared to have had too much to drink, according to the reporter who attended the gig.

Taylor's wardrobe switch-up gives fans a possible major clue

Taylor had an incredible, costume-filled performance in Edinburgh, Scotland last weekend as she gave the audience a top-tier show. For The Tortured Poets Department set, Taylor rocked a pair of black gloves for the first time since incorporating the new songs into The Eras Tour, which came after she suffered an awkward blunder that led to the outfit alteration.

The hitmaker then left fans wondering if there was a hidden meaning last night when she stepped out in the iconic TTPD Vivienne Westwood frock which was teamed with white gloves instead of black while on stage in Liverpool. The Grammy-winning singer has only worn gloves with this outfit on two occasions after her hands got cramp in Scotland, so this was a big moment for some fans who pick up on every detail that gets changed.

Some fans speculated that since The Manuscript album cover for TTPD is white, there is a chance that Taylor might have been subtly revealing that something centering around the variant edition was coming.

Good morning, Swifties! Liverpool N2 is fast approaching...

Wow! What a night Liverpool Night One was... Mirror reporter Scarlett O'Toole was at the concert reporting live for the 100th show amid rife rumours that something big was going to happen.

Many fans are saying that it's the biggest day in 'clowning' history, after the entire fandom was convinced that either Reputation (Taylor's Version) was going to be announced, a TTPD music video was going to be released, or Taylor might bring out Sir Paul McCartney to croon a surprise song with her.

None of the above happened, but the show itself did not disappoint, with Taylor singing some spectacular surprise songs such as a mashup of I Can See You and Mine, with another mashup of Cornelia Street and Maroon.

Mirror reporter Scarlett said in her review of the gig: "While many might be disappointed that Paul McCartney didn't appear as a special guest and an announcement wasn't made, it was still certainly a night to remember."

Taylor Swift halts show due to tech issue as she helps fans

Taylor had to stop her show during the Evermore set.

The star explained to fans that her in-ear pieces were getting messed up due to the wind. While at first she thought that someone accidentally left their microphone on, she was informed that it was actually how loud the wind was whipping through the air. Despite the poor weather, she pesevered.

As she fixed her in-ears, she also noticed some commotion in the crowd. Out of concern for their safety, she guided security to go help a few fans out.

Taylor Swift shares special moment with a fan

Taylor Swift is known to give a special fan a hat during her performance of 22 from the RED album during her Eras Tour.

While performing at her first show at Anfield Stadium in Liverpool on Thursday, June 13, she handed the 22 hat to a fan and the crowd was loud during the special moment. This special moment came after Taylor addressed that she broke an attendance record at Anfield Stadium during her 100th show of the Eras Tour. She sold out three shows in Liverpool.

Not only is the 22 performance special because the singer shares a special moment with a fan but she also makes it fun for others. During the performance, she wears an oversized white t-shirt that reads something new and it's usually about the singer. Thursday nights shirt read: "Who's Taylor Swift Anyway? Ew."

Pop star shines in golden gown for Speak Now era

Speak Now era only gets one song on the set list.

However, Taylor Swift sure knows how to make the most of it. In Liverpool, she stepped out in a golden ballgown to sing Enchanted. Fans, of course, loved the look, but were heartbroken that she hasn't brought back Long Live which made a brief stint on the set list back in America.

Taylor wears classic t-shirt for Red era

The pop star is sticking to the basics so far for the 100th show.

Taylor wore her typical outfit for the Red era. She chose her t-shirt that reads, "Who's Taylor Swift anyway? Ew," which is the original reference. As always, she gave her hat to a fan with a young Swiftie giving her a high five after they made the hand-off.

Swiftie wears new Liverpool shirt with nod to Taylor

In the stands of the venue, one fan wore a red Liverpool t-shirt with ‘Swift’ across the back. Plus, it featured Taylor’s favourite number, 13. The new Liverpool jersey features a 97 printed near the neckline, recognising the 97th victim who died in the Hillsborough tragedy.

The Hillsborough disaster occurred in 1989 at Hillsborough Stadium during a FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool FC and Nottingham Forest. The standing room only event resulted in a fatal crowd crush amounting in 97 casualties.

Taylor moves into the Fearless era with a glimmering dress

It's time to move into the early days.

Taylor full sent it into the Fearless era as she appeared on stage in her silver and gold dress. Fun fact: the dress is actually just a bodysuit with a little extra fabric to give the illusion of a dress.

She's set to sing songs like Love Story, You Belong With Me, and Fearless.

Taylor Swift kicks off her Liverpool shows

Taylor Swift has hit the stage in Liverpool.

The star began her Eras Tour with a classic approach... Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince. She dazzled in her pink bodysuit for the Lover Era, decked out in gems, glitz, and glimmer.

Paramore perform Misery Business again, despite ongoing criticism

Paramore made a daring move to keep Misery Business on their set list.

The band typically avoids playing the song out of concern for outdated misogynistic lyrics. However, when they didn't spotlight it on the Eras Tour, fans were disappointed as it's one of their biggest hits.

On the other hand, when they did add it back in, some fans were upset because of the controversial background. It was later revealed that Taylor herself requested the song to be performed.

Fans brand Taylor Swift 'witch' as she 'controls' the weather

Taylor Swift is once again a Mastermind .

This time, the weather in Liverpool has dropped to only 13 °C which, to the average person, seems mundane, but Swifties know it's extra special. Taylor is known to be associated with the number 13 since it's her favourite. Fans even draw the number on their hands when they attend the show, a callback to something Taylor herself once did.

With the weather hitting the temperature, fans are claiming she's the one behind it. "Mother of witchcraft," one wrote. Is this TayVoodoo in action again?

Paramore takes the stage at the Eras Tour as rain stops

Just in time for the show to begin, the rain has dissipated.

Paramore took the stage, sending an electric wave through the crowd. The pop punk has shaken up the set list a few times during these shows, so anticipation is growing a about what Hayley Williams might sing.

Paramore's set running late as rain continues to drizzle

The Eras Tour in Liverpool is off to a rough start as Paramore is running late.

The pop punk band, who is known for their song Misery Business, has become a staple part of the European tour dates. Long time friends of Taylor, they've added a splash of colour to the show.

However, while fans desperately wait, a delay has settled in. The stage is still being set up as the rain drones on.

Taylor's stage crew celebrates the 100th show

The 100th show isn't going unacknowleged by ther touring team.

Taylor's crew was seen in a celebratory photo where they were dressed in their black uniforms, ready to get the production going. However, they stopped to celebrate backstage, standing in front of a colourful balloon arch which seemed to resembled each of her eras. Plus, they added silver '100' balloons on each side.

Taylor Nation makes bold reference to cancelled show

Taylor Swift's team, known as Taylor Nation, is known for their chaotic energy on X, formerly known as Twitter.

They acknowledged a difficult part of Swiftie history — Lover Fest. Ahead of the COVID-19 pandemic, the global sensation announced she would be touring the world and performing on a heart-shaped stage. She dubbed the tour 'Lover Fest' and it centered around (what was) her newly released album.

When the pandemic shut it down, fans were crushed. However, Taylor Nation referenced the cancelled show which spurred speculation from fans. One Swiftie posted a photo of her in a Me! inspired outfit and Taylor Nation said: "Remember to save all your #TSTheErasTour content, #LiverpoolTSTheErasTour ! Because that wasn't the case 5 years ago."

The reference to the discarded tour broke fans' hearts, but also left them wondering if it could be a hint at something to come. After all, people are still wondering how Taylor will mark the 100th show and one of the leading theories is that she'll announce some bonus tracks from her Lover album.

Taylor isn't set to re-record Lover as part of her plan to reclaim her albums as that was the first album she recorded separate from Scooter Braun and therefore already owned by her. However, that doesn't mean she can't give fans a sweet little treat.

Liverpool transforms with special album-themed installations

Liverpool had a sparkling makeover to celebrate the arrival of Miss Swift.

They decorated their city with 11 different art installations, each depciting a different era in Taylor's career. Taylor Town Trail is giving fans the chance to explore the city without missing a single moment of the immersion.

Liverpool City Council's director for culture, Claire McColgan, said in a statement: "The Taylor Town Trail is going to put Swifties in pure pop heaven and even if you haven't got a ticket to one of the concerts, it's just going to be an unforgettable experience."

The best part is fans don't need tickets to the show to go. So, for those who didn't survive the Great (ticket) War, they'll be able to get in on at least this piece of the action.

Rain began pouring at the stadium

It looks like it'll be a rain show!

While most artists would be deterred, Taylor is known for her love of singing in the rain. As Swifties made it into the venue, raindrops started falling and they pulled on raincoats in an attempt to stay dry.

Just like it won't deter the superstar, her fans aren't afraid to brave the weather, either. Plenty of people are already pooling around the stage, waiting to see their idol perform.

Fans show off their custom outfits for the show

One of the fans' favourite part of the concert experience is getting to play dress up.

Swifties have spent this tour getting glammed up in their favourite era — whether that be taking some loose inspiration or recreating one of Taylor's looks. Many fans have bene sewing up their own costumes, including bedazzled bodysuits and gorgeous gowns.

Is The Tortured Poets Department actually a triple album release?

Some fans are convinced that Queen Taylor is dropping clues that could lead to another edition of TTPD.

With the 100th show beginning in a matter of hours, the theories keep spiraling. Fans are rattled with ideas like an extended version of Lover, a Reputation (Taylor's Version) announcement, or a Paul McCartney appearance ons tage. However, some very studious Swifties are noticing a few clues with an even more extreme theory.

Taylor is known for dropping sister albums. First, she released Folklore and Evermore back to back and then she released The Tortured Poet's Deaprtment and its sister, The Anthology, on the same night. However, there could be a third on the horizon if the sleuthy Swifties are right.

On the night of TTPD's announcement, the Grammys, Taylor put out a bunch of red herrings, including some encryption code on her website that led fans to believe that a Reputation drop was imminent. While most of those became obvious dead ends once TTPD came out... one thing didn't add up. "321" appeared in the code and a few other places, including a YouTube short.

Fans are speculating that "321" is a hint at a third album as a part of this era. If Taylor wanted to do a triple drop, tonight would be a great night to do so.

Essential Albums

100 Best Albums When Taylor Swift announced that 1989 (Taylor’s Version) was finally seeing release, she mentioned that, of all the albums she’s faithfully rerecorded in her quest to retake her master tapes, this one was special. “The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways,” she wrote on Instagram. “To be perfectly honest, this is my most FAVORITE re-record I’ve ever done because the 5 From The Vault tracks are so insane. I can’t believe they were ever left behind.” From “Now That We Don’t Talk” (on which, wowee zowee, she sings, “I don’t have to pretend I like acid rock/Or that I’d like to be on a mega-yacht/With important men who think important thoughts”) to “Say Don’t Go” to “Is It Over Now?”, one gets a real feel for the ferocity and focus with which she was writing at the time, a new audience in sight. It’s not just that any one of the newly uncovered songs here is more than strong enough to have been included (or strong enough to have launched the career of a less prolific artist); it’s that, even on material previously deemed inessential, Swift sounds comfortable bordering on imperious—like she’d been making lush, montage-ready pop music all along. Nearly a decade later—and at the tail end of a 2023 in which her every move seems to have determined pop-cultural weather—it’s weirdly easy to forget that in 2014, she was still approaching (nah, engineering) an inflection point in her life and career, reintroducing herself (at just 24) as the all-conquering, planet-like presence we know today. She’d already started adjusting the ratio of country to pop on 2010’s Speak Now and 2012’s Red, working with Swedish superproducers Max Martin and Shellback on the latter. On 1989, Swift did away with the idea of ratios entirely—just launched them into the ocean, and went all the way. Musically, it wasn’t just her embrace of big beats and shiny surfaces, but a sense of lightness and play as well. Where 2008’s Fearless and Speak Now take their dramas to Shakespearean heights, 1989 celebrates a newly liberated life of flings (“Style”), weekend getaways (“Wildest Dreams”), and the kind of confidence a younger Taylor Swift was too passionately involved to grasp. So while “Welcome to New York” is her way of letting everyone know that she’s at least momentarily done with country music and Nashville and the constrictions they put on her image and sound, it’s also a song about turning your eye outward and surrendering to the possibilities only a city like New York can offer. And where she may have taken things personally in the past, now she’s just trying to have fun (“Shake It Off”). “Blank Space” even manages to make light of her gravest and most well-protected subject: Taylor Swift. Like Shania Twain’s Come On Over or even Bob Dylan’s Bringing It All Back Home, 1989 is an instance in which an artist deliberately defies expectations and still manages to succeed. Swift didn’t exactly grow up with the synthesized, ’80s-inspired sounds that producers like Martin, Shellback, Ryan Tedder, and future bestie Jack Antonoff help her create here; as the album’s title reminds you, she wasn’t even born until the decade was ending. But just as she played with the traditions and conventions of country music on her early albums, Swift uses the nostalgia of 1989 not to look back, but to move ahead.

After rerecording her 2008 album Fearless as part of a sweeping effort to regain control of her master tapes—or at least create new ones—Taylor Swift presents Red (Taylor’s Version), an expanded take on her 2012 blockbuster that features nine never-before-released songs written in the same era as the original. “Musically and lyrically, Red resembled a heartbroken person,” she wrote in a letter to fans. “It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. Happy, free, confused, lonely, devastated, euphoric, wild, and tortured by memories past. Like trying on pieces of a new life, I went into the studio and experimented with different sounds and collaborators. And I’m not sure if it was pouring my thoughts into this album, hearing thousands of your voices sing the lyrics back to me in passionate solidarity, or if it was simply time, but something was healed along the way.” The hot-blooded breakup anthems you know and love are still there (“We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” and “I Knew You Were Trouble” are two), but the new, full collection paints an even richer portrait of heartbreak. She wrestles with change on “Nothing New,” an alt-rock duet with Phoebe Bridgers; contemplates fate on a wistful pop song produced by Max Martin and Shellback (“Message in a Bottle”); and gets the final, piercing word on “I Bet You Think About Me” featuring Chris Stapleton, penned after a high-profile breakup in 2011. Longtime fans will be especially glad to see an extended cut of “All Too Well,” the project’s emotional centerpiece. It features new production from hitmaker Jack Antonoff, but Swift’s original lyrical genius is still remarkable. “And you call me up again just to break me like a promise/So casually cruel in the name of being honest,” she sings. It’s the line she’s always said she’s most proud of from this album and era. Ten years on, it still cuts deep.

In 2019, Taylor Swift announced plans to rerecord her entire catalog to that point, an ambitious move sparked by the sale of her original label, Big Machine Label Group, along with all of her masters. Swift’s first entry into this reimagined canon is a new take on her landmark 2008 sophomore LP Fearless, which, among many other accolades, took home the coveted Album of the Year trophy at the 2010 Grammy Awards. Swift first teased the “Taylor’s Version” of Fearless with the release of a new recording of one of her biggest hits, the ode to youthful romance “Love Story.” That version stays remarkably true to the original track, though it’s hard not to notice how Swift’s voice has strengthened and matured in the 13 years since. (But in this updated version mixed in Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos, the difference is clear: more warmth, more intimacy, more clarity with which to appreciate the deceptive ease of Swift’s songwriting.) Elsewhere, she revisits other juggernauts like “Fifteen,” “Forever & Always,” and, of course, “You Belong With Me,” another of her biggest-selling songs.

A mere 11 months passed between the release of Lover and its surprise follow-up, but it feels like a lifetime. Written and recorded remotely during the first few months of the global pandemic, folklore finds the 30-year-old singer-songwriter teaming up with The National’s Aaron Dessner and long-time collaborator Jack Antonoff for a set of ruminative and relatively lo-fi bedroom pop that’s worlds away from its predecessor. When Swift opens “the 1”—a sly hybrid of plaintive piano and her naturally bouncy delivery—with “I’m doing good, I’m on some new st,” you’d be forgiven for thinking it was another update from quarantine, or a comment on her broadening sensibilities. But Swift’s channelled her considerable energies into writing songs here that double as short stories and character studies, from Proustian flashbacks (“cardigan”, which bears shades of Lana Del Rey) to outcast widows (“the last great american dynasty”) and doomed relationships (“exile”, a heavy-hearted duet with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon). It’s a work of great texture and imagination. “Your braids like a pattern/Love you to the moon and to Saturn,” she sings on “seven”, the tale of two friends plotting an escape. “Passed down like folk songs, the love lasts so long.” For a songwriter who has mined such rich detail from a life lived largely in public, it only makes sense that she’d eventually find inspiration in isolation.

About taylor swift.

The country world feigned surprise when, after three albums of Music Row-indebted songcraft, Taylor Swift formally embraced pop on 2012’s Red. But no one should have been shocked: Any 14-year-old capable of persuading her parents to move from suburban Pennsylvania to Nashville for her career clearly has ambition to burn. And the thrill of following Swift’s rise has been watching her execute it flawlessly, largely because her melodic intelligence is equal to that ambition. Her early, youthful love songs heralded 2010's newly self-possessed Speak Now—which showed off her scathing wit—and evolved into knowing, ironclad pop fare that held its own against boisterous Max Martin production on 1989, her fifth album, titled after her birth year. Throughout, her songwriting has blurred the lines between the public and private, burying enough real-life clues (about, say, scarves and Starbucks) to make clear that only Swift can own her narrative, thank you very much, while still retaining a lyrical elegance. Though 2017’s reputation might have been perceived as a gorgeously constructed piece of dramatic theater—its attendant heroes and villains all real-life characters from Swift's public feuds—all that spectacle proved an attention-grabbing cover for her most romantic album yet. She turned up the romance even more on 2019’s Lover, but it was 2020’s folklore and its companion, evermore—ruminative, relatively lo-fi albums written and recorded during the COVID-19 pandemic—that earned her the Apple Music Award for Songwriter of the Year. She followed those up in 2022 with Midnights, which she wrote and produced with Jack Antonoff, and described as "the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life." In 2023, Swift undertook one of the most ambitious road shows of all time: the multi-year Eras Tour, which saw her presenting new and classic material across more than 100 locales worldwide. It was just one of many reasons she was named Apple Music's Artist of the Year for 2023. Swift returned to the soft, comfortable, bed-like sonics of Midnights for her 11th album, 2024’s THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT. A study in extremes and heightened emotions, the record—which features guest turns from Post Malone and Florence + the Machine—is her most specific, candid, and unsparing work to date.

Taylor Swift Confirms the End of ‘Eras Tour’ During 100th Show in Liverpool

The Eras Tour might really be seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

During the tour’s 100th show in Liverpool, England, on Thursday, June 13, Taylor Swift confirmed that the long-running show will end in December.

“People have been like, ‘How are you going to celebrate the 100th show?’” Swift, 34, told the sold-out crowd at Anfield stadium. “The celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I’ve acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December. Like, that’s it.”

Fans had theorized that Swift might add additional dates to the tour, but its final stops are scheduled for Vancouver, Canada, between December 6-8.

Swift called the Eras Tour “the most exhausting, all-encompassing, but most joyful, most rewarding, most wonderful thing that has ever happened in my life.”

“I think that this tour has really become my entire life,” Swift explained. “It’s taken over everything. I think I once had hobbies, but I don’t know what they were anymore. All I do when I’m not on stage is sit at home and try to think of clever acoustic song mash-ups and think about what you might want to hear.”

The singer then thanked the rain-soaked fans in Liverpool and around the globe for their ability to turn the Eras Tour into the cultural phenomenon that it’s become.

“You have done so much to be with us, right?” Swift gushed. “You’ve made plans so far in advance, you planned what you were going to wear, you memorized lyrics, you got yourselves here, you figured out parking, you figured out transportation.”

She continued, “I want to spend the 100th show just thinking about that and living in this moment with you and being here with you. Just know that I appreciate every single ounce of effort that you put in to be with us when this tour reaches triple digits of shows. So, thank you.”

The pop star kicked off the Eras Tour — which features an expansive set of more than 40 songs covering her entire career — in the United States in March 2023 and traveled throughout the country until August 2023. She subsequently embarked on the international leg of the tour, making stops in South America, Asia, Australia and Europe. Swift also documented the concert experience in her October 2023 movie, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour .

When Swift returned to her tour in May following a brief hiatus, she completely switched up the setlist , including songs from her 11th album, The Tortured Poets Department , for the first time while performing in Paris. In addition to making the record a permanent part of the lineup, Swift debuted new costumes and cut some past songs.

The European leg of the tour will run through August , with Swift returning to the U.S. for several shows in the fall before closing out the venture in Canada in December.

Swift previously commemorated important dates on the tour with special surprises for her audience. During her 87th concert in Paris , she made several nods to boyfriend Travis Kelce , whose Kansas City Chiefs jersey number is 87. She wore his NFL team’s colors and sang a mash-up of “The Alchemy” (which is rumored to be about Kelce, 34) and “Treacherous.” She even gave Kelce — who was in the audience — a sweet shout-out, asking the crowd, “Can you believe this is our 87th show of the Eras Tour ?”

While performing her 89th show in Sweden, Swift paid tribute to her 1989 album with a mash-up of three songs from the record: “Say Don’t Go,” “Welcome to New York” and “Clean.”

Throughout the tour’s run, Swift has spoken about its impact on her.

“I’ve always had fun doing this. I can’t believe I get to do music as a career. That’s crazy,” she said at the Los Angeles premiere of her Eras Tour movie in October 2023. “I’ve always had so much fun doing it. I’ve never had this much fun in my life as I have had on the Eras Tour . It is far and away just the most electric experience of my life.”

In December 2023, Swift told TIME that she wanted to “superserve the fans” with her biggest tour ever.

“They had to work really hard to get the tickets,” she explained. “I wanted to play a show that was longer than they ever thought it would be because that makes me feel good leaving the stadium.”

Swift noted that the Eras Tour made her “the most fulfilled I’ve ever felt” in her life.

“I know I’m going on that stage whether I’m sick, injured, heartbroken, uncomfortable or stressed,” she continued. “That’s part of my identity as a human being now. If someone buys a ticket to my show, I’m going to play it unless we have some sort of force majeure.”

Taylor Swift says 'most wonderful' Eras Tour will end in December

CNNWire logo

Taylor Swift knows that all good things must come to an end - and that includes her Eras Tour.

In an emotional speech during the 100th show of her record-breaking tour on Thursday night, the megastar confirmed that her current musical voyage would come to an end this year.

"You know, this is actually the 100th show of the tour," she told her fans at the first of three back-to-back shows in Liverpool, England, prompting joyful screams from Swifties.

"That blows my mind. That doesn't feel like a real statistic to me because this has definitely been the most exhausting, all-encompassing, but most joyful, most rewarding, most wonderful thing that has ever happened in my life this forth. These moments with you," she said, as shown in a video circulating on social media.

Acknowledging that many in the audience might be wondering how she will mark the milestone, Swift said, "The celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I've ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is going to end in December."

"Like, that's it, and that feels like so far away from now, but then again it feels like we just played our first show on this tour because you have made this so much fun for us that we wanted to do 100 shows, 150-something shows that we have on the whole tour," she continued.

The Eras Tour, which began in Glendale, Arizona on March 18, 2023, has been extended several times since it was first announced. It has since passed through the United States, South America, Asia and Australia, and is currently on its European leg before it makes a return to North America.

It now appears there will be no additions to the current dates listed on her website, with the last one a show in Vancouver, Canada, on December 8.

"I think that this tour has really become my entire life," Swift said, adding that "it's taken over everything."

"Like, I think I once had hobbies but I don't know what they were anymore. 'Cause all I do when I'm not on stage is, like, sit at home and try to think of clever, like, acoustic song mashups and think about what you might want to hear. Just - so like, when I'm not on the stage, I'm dreaming about being back on the stage with you guys," she continued.

Swift thanked her fans for all the work they have put in to be at her show, including making plans "so far in advance," memorizing lyrics and figuring out transportation.

The Eras Tour has had a staggering impact on tourism, recently causing a spike in air travel across Europe.

United Airlines revealed in May that demand for flights to Milan and Munich, where Swift is set to perform in July, has soared, with upward of 45% more passengers compared with last year.

Her recent concerts at Edinburgh, Scotland, led to seismic activity being detected four miles from the stadium where the singer was performing, according to the British Geological Society.

The historic tour has also been accused of pushing up inflation and is predicted by British bank Barclays to boost spending by nearly $1 billion in the United Kingdom.

Fans of Kelce's girlfriend, Taylor Swift , were quick to praise the look, with some dubbing it " Red (Travis' Version) " in a cheeky nod to the 34-year-old singer's hit album . Travis, however, revealed that the ensemble's actual inspiration was a bit more on-the-nose.

The 34-year-old athlete skipped the red carpet, but did greet teammate Bryan Cook as the latter was being interviewed by a local news outlet.

"I gotta get inside before I start sweating," he told Cook.

Kelce was then asked to share what inspired his latest look, answering, "You already know -- Chiefs Kingdom, baby."

The Kansas City Chiefs team colors are red and gold. For her part, Swift previously paid tribute by wearing those colors during her 87th Eras Tour show in Paris, France, as a subtle nod to her NFL star boyfriend 's jersey number .

Once inside the event, 34-year-old Kelce sat with the 28-year-old quarterback and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, as the teammates officially slipped on their third Super Bowl rings.

Brittany shared a few sneak peeks from their table, including one epic Funko trinket that bore a hilariously striking resemblance to Kelce. She also offered a glimpse at the trio of rings on her husband's fingers.

The Chiefs clinched their third Super Bowl win in five years -- including back-to-back victories in 2023 and 2024 -- when they defeated the San Francisco 49ers on Feb. 11 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. Swift was among those in the crowd cheering for the team, though she was not in attendance for Thursday's ring ceremony as she was busy performing her 100th Eras Tour show in Liverpool, England.

Since their most recent win, several team members -- including Kelce -- have made clear their intent to become the first team in history to score three consecutive Super Bowls in the upcoming season.

Ring maker Jostens shared  an up-close look at the dazzling new bauble, which features 16 rubies (representing 16 outright division championship titles), four football-shaped diamonds (for the franchise's four total Super Bowl championships) and 28 diamonds (for holding every opponent under 28 points), to name just a few details. Each customized ring, set in 18-carat white and yellow gold, also includes the player's name and jersey number.

Notably, this year's ring is the first to open with a hidden hinge revealing confetti inside along with a graphic of their winning "Tom and Jerry" play in overtime, written in Reid's handwritten. See all the details in the video below.

Kelce  recently signed a two-year contract extension  with the Chiefs. The $34.25 million deal -- which includes $17 million fully guaranteed this year -- makes him the highest-paid tight end in the league.

Amid his current offseason, Kelce has been busy with  a full slate  of side hustles, including hosting  Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?   and testing his acting chops in Ryan Murphy's  Grotesquerie . He's also  thrown his hat in the ring for consideration  as  Adam Sandler  firms up plans for Netflix's upcoming  Happy Gilmore 2  -- though no formal casting has been announced.

As part of his budding Hollywood career, Travis also recently  produced the movie  My Dead Friend Zoe  --  starring Sonequa Martin-Green, Ed Harris and Morgan Freeman -- and previously took a turn hosting  Saturday Night Live  in 2023.

On this week's episode of his New Heights podcast, Kelce mentioned his post-football aspirations.

"I want to broadcast when I'm done playing," he told his brother and co-host, Philadelphia Eagles alum Jason Kelce .

For his part, Jason -- who famously lost his own Super Bowl ring earlier this year -- recently signed on to serve as  a sportscaster for ESPN's  Monday Night Football  after announcing his NFL retirement .

Taylor Swift wearing Popflex

Talk about a Swift sellout.

Following last Friday’s release of her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” Taylor Swift took to YouTube Shorts to share some rare behind-the-scenes footage from her personal life, including a several-second snippet of herself playing pickleball in a tutu-style lavender skirt.

Despite the clip’s brevity, it took mere moments for Taylor Swift Style blogger Sarah Chapelle to ID the singer’s activewear as the Popflex Pirouette Skort ($60) — and just 15 minutes for the style to sell out completely in Swift’s lilac shade. Before long, it was wiped out of stock in all 11 colors.

“I was in shock. Pure shock,” the activewear brand’s founder, Cassey Ho , tells Page Six Style. At the time Swift posted the video, Ho was at the hair salon with her phone on “Do Not Disturb” mode, so she missed the first handful of calls from her husband as he tried to alert her of the major moment.

“It finally went through because when you do that on iPhone, it counts as an emergency,” she says, quipping, “This was an emergency.”

In an effort to meet the overwhelming demand, Ho enabled preorders for the lavender skort on her Shopify site — “we never do this,” she says — and has since sold “about 7,000” of the Swift-approved style. Since they’ll all be made from scratch, the skorts will ship in August.

“I don’t want to rush through anything; I want to make sure everyone who’s ordering the skort gets the same quality that Taylor got,” she notes.

But this was no flash-in-the-pan stroke of fortune for Ho and her brand — Swift returned to YouTube Thursday to share a compilation of clips from her recent Eras Tour rehearsals, which happened to be peppered with Popflex pieces.

In one scene, she pairs her Pirouette Skort with the brand’s Corset Bra ($44); in another, she takes the streamlined Twirl Skort ($54) for a spin, while a third shows her striking a confident pose in the Crisscross Hourglass Booty Short ($45).

Ho confirms none of the merchandise was gifted to the superstar.

“I think she placed an order — I don’t know when,” she tells us. “And it seems like she must have bought a lot of things!”

The fitness entrepreneur and influencer, who’s also the founder of the popular YouTube channel Blogilates , describes her designs as “romantic, feminine, but also always solving a problem,” pointing to Popflex’s inclusive size range (XXS to 3X) and multiple available legging lengths as examples of the latter.

“We all know that Taylor loves princesses and castles and love stories. And so I think because of that, she’s really drawn to the femininity and the romantic-ness of it all.”

Taylor Swift rehearsing

Scoring the Grammy winner’s stamp of approval is especially meaningful for Ho, who’s been a Swiftie since 2006.

In 2014, after posting a YouTube video spotlighting her favorite songs from Swift’s emotional “Red” album — “I was going through a lot at the time,” she says — the vlogger even scored an invite to one of her idol’s “secret sessions,” and was one of the first people to hear Swift’s then-unreleased “1989” record in the musician’s own LA home.

“ The Taylor Swift walks out with her red lips and her cropped hair and her crop top, and I’m physically shaking, and she walks over and says, ‘Cassey, I love your videos,'” Ho recalls. “I’m like, ‘What do you mean?!’ “

Years later, the pair’s lives have paralleled in other ways; while Swift was fighting for ownership of her master recordings , Ho was battling larger companies selling bootleg versions of her creations.

“When I designed the Pirouette Skort a few years ago, I remember telling my husband, ‘This is the one that’s going to be stolen by Shein .’ I just knew, because it’s so different,” she says.

Since then, Ho tells me she’s dealt with two separate instances of the fast-fashion giant knocking off her signature design and selling it for cheap; she recently applied for a design patent to protect her work.

“It took a whole year for me to get the patent, but it was weirdly awarded on my birthday,” she says, adding that she announced the milestone with a TikTok set to — what else? — Swift’s tune “Karma.”

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Cassey Ho (@blogilates)

Unfortunately, the patent hasn’t put the kibosh on all the copycats.

“Amazon and TikTok Shop make it really easy,” the designer says, telling us she’s flagged “a ton” of listings for lookalike skorts that include customer reviews and photos taken from her own website — including snaps of Ho herself.

“Every day is like Whac-A-Mole; we take one [listing] down, they start a new account and put it up again,” she adds. “Dupe culture — counterfeit culture — has gotten out of control.”

But considering most Swifties now swear to only listen to the musician’s rerecorded versions of her earlier albums, Ho is confident that those in search of Swift’s skort will add “Cassey’s Version” to their carts.

“Swifties want the real thing. They want the thing that Taylor’s wearing,” she says. “And I just hope that the skort makes everyone who gets it really happy.”
