Taylor Swift performs at Accor Stadium on Feb. 23, 2024 in Sydney, Australia.

Taylor Swift just finished one of the most massive legs of her touring career in Australia, playing for about 600,000 fans total across seven shows in the land down under. And at her final concert in Sydney’s Accor Stadium, the 34-year-old pop star shared Monday (Feb. 26) that she was blown away by the turnout.

All the Surprise Songs Taylor Swift Has Performed on The Eras Tour (So Far)

Trending on billboard.

“Here’s what happens in our last show in a city,” she added. “We have been saving our energy for you.”

Monday’s concert closes out four Eras shows at Accor, which followed Swift’s three-night stint at Melbourne’s Cricket Ground. The “Anti-Hero” singer’s Australian run featured announcements for both the “Bolter” and “Albatross” editions of her upcoming album The Tortured Poets Department , as well as several unprecedented mashups during her nightly surprise song sections. (At her finale concert in Sydney, she sang combos of “Would’ve Could’ve Should’ve” and “Ivy,” and “Forever & Always” and “Maroon.”)

Swift’s Feb. 23 show marked the first Eras concert Travis Kelce has been able to attend since November, which the 14-time Grammy winner once again celebrated by changing her “Karma” lyrics to give the Kansas City Chiefs tight end a sweet shoutout. Instead of “Karma is the guy on the screen,” she belted, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs,” while Kelce danced along near VIP tentmates Katy Perry and Rita Ora.

The singer’s highly-anticipated Eras Tour proved itself beyond worthy of the hype. By Dani Maher

eras tour in sydney

THOUGH WARNINGS OF “inclement weather” threatened, there was no stopping Taylor Swift as she embarked on the Eras Tour’s latest stop, taking to Sydney’s Accor Stadium for the first of a record-breaking four-show stint last night.

At this point — 60-plus concerts in, and counting — everyone knows of the Eras Tour : It’s a global phenomenon. We’ve seen clips on Instagram and TikTok ; seen photos of each dazzling custom look Swift wears throughout the performances and the ways those have been replicated by dedicated fans ; and heard rave reviews from critics, audiences and celebrity attendees alike. There’s not much mystery to the show — aside from the surprise section, in which Swift chooses two (or more) additional songs from her discography at each show to play in an acoustic set. Yet each time Swift takes to the stage, fans are captivated, gripped with fervour, enthralled by every move and note.

I’ve been to a number of seared-into-my-memory, amazing concerts throughout my life, from arena spectacles to sweaty gigs in dingy pubs. I’ve experienced — and yes, been part of — fandoms who treat such concerts as a religious experience. But as prepared as I was for it, the Eras Tour still blew me away.

eras tour in sydney

It’s the kind of event which can’t be contained by the confines of a stadium. There’s a palpable energy that spills outwards, as far as the trains coming from all directions in Sydney, carrying tens of thousands of fans dressed in their finest Eras recreations — gold fringed minidresses à la Fearless , bedazzled Lover bodysuits, floaty dresses that recall the cottagecore vibes of Folklore and Evermore , all-black looks in the vein of Reputation . Cowboy boots stomp the floors en masse, in every variety imaginable (Black! Red! Silver! Gold! Bedazzled!).

Inside the stadium, the excitement builds ever higher. As my friend and I find our seats, a young woman sitting behind us with her father, with whom she’s been going to concerts since she was eight, gives us a friendship bracelet each when she sees our bare wrists. A young girl next to her, sitting with her mum, shyly but earnestly offers us one each of hers, too, insisting she doesn’t want anything in return. En route through the stadium, another woman compliments my outfit, and every time my friend walks past someone wearing the same Fearless -inspired dress as her, they point at each other excitedly. Everywhere, there’s strangers swapping bracelets and telling each other they’re beautiful. The whole thing has that same air of uplifting excitement as I felt as a teenager getting ready to go out with my friends, trading clothes, helping each other with our makeup, showering each other with compliments. If that’s not girlhood, what is?

Swift moves on the stage with a CONFIDENCE and CHARISMA that’s as SPELLBINDING as her voice

When Swift takes to the stage — miraculously on time, despite opener Sabrina Carpenter having missed her slot as audiences were told to take shelter amid dangerous weather warnings earlier in the evening — the energy seems to crackle, even in the absence of the lightning that was forecasted.

What follows is surreal for anyone who’s been listening to Swift throughout her career, and mind-blowing even for the tag-along partners and parents. (An elderly man sitting in front of me films on his phone, awed, even making the effort to get on his feet, cane in hand, for as much of the concert as he can.)

eras tour in sydney

The Eras Tour is an extravaganza, and Swift our seasoned host. She moves on the stage with a confidence and charisma that’s as spellbinding as her voice is, with its power to belt out catchy bridges as easily as it can soften to a mournful croon. As she moves from era to era, Swift chats to the audience with a casual friendliness, praising us for our enthusiasm, making us feel as though we’re the first crowd treated to such generosity: “We might have a bit of a weather situation, with a bit of rain, but I’ve never seen an Aussie crowd let anything get in the way of having a good time. Sydney , you’re making me feel absolutely phenomenal right now.”

You wouldn’t think she’s dozens of shows in — she approaches each song with as much energy as the audience offers her in return, and with a genuine, heartfelt gratitude and graciousness. She’s in her element on stage, reliving the highlights reel of her career thus far and taking all of us along the journey — at times poignant, joyful, tender, or in the case of the Evermore section, downright witchy. Even in the show’s slower segments, it’s hard to tear yourself away, or convince yourself to take a seat even for a moment.

Swift knows precisely how each song is best appreciated, whether that’s accompanied by a crowd of back-up dancers for the more upbeat tunes, like “22,” or stripped back and nearly bare, allowing the music to shine for what it is. The latter is the case during the 10-minute version of “All Too Well,” which she sings from a raised platform in its entirety, a singular point for us to focus in on for the full emotional journey. It’s just Swift and her guitar on the podium, but every one of us is right there with her for every beat, singing along to the sermon and feeling every gut-wrenching bit of rageful pain.

eras tour in sydney

While each era has its moment — no song feeling out of place thanks to Swift’s earnest performances, from the almost-cheesy boppy likes of “You Need to Calm Down” and “Shake It Off” to the hymn-like ballads of “My Tears Ricochet” and “Tolerate It” — there’s an undeniable highlight of the evening. It occurs during the acoustic surprise song section, when Swift sits at her piano and invites her would-be opener Sabrina Carpenter to join her, to rectify the “crime against Sydney” that was her cancelled set.

As they softly croon a duet rendition of “White Horse,” from Swift’s breakout album Fearless , it’s pure magic: Carpenter’s deep huskiness a warm dose of heady emotion alongside Swift’s sparkling clarity. When the song melts smoothly into a mash-up with Evermore ‘s “Coney Island,” the audience collectively gasps and screams in appreciation. It’s moments like these that work towards that feeling Swift is so adept at evoking in her fans: A sense that it’s just us, here in this space together, feeling these emotions uniquely but collectively as though for the first time.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Harper's BAZAAR Australia (@bazaaraustralia)

The concert comes to a triumphant end with the Midnights era, Swift and her dancers a blur of rainbow tinsel onstage as they take their victory lap with “Karma” — Swift paying homage to a beaming Travis Kelce , who flew into the city a day earlier to join her on tour, when she again switches the lyrics in the bridge to nod to her “ guy on the Chiefs “.

It’s hard to FEEL anything OTHER than ELECTRIFIED and ECSTATIC

As the confetti settles onto the ground and Swift says her goodbyes, the post-concert depression isn’t instant, as it can often be. It’s hard to feel anything other than electrified and ecstatic, a sentiment that’s only heightened as you shuffle out with sore feet alongside other fans, all of whom are still trading friendship bracelets and already reliving their favourite moments, as they likely will for weeks and months and years to come.

It’s the kind of concert you know you’ll remember, not only for the immense prowess of Swift herself, but for the community she has brought together: People of all ages and backgrounds, unified through music, strengthened through the kindness they’ve been encouraged to show each other. It’s a cathartic triumph of girlhood and pure fun, and for that, Swift is worthy of every bit of the praise she has received — and will undoubtedly continue to receive, as she embarks on the tour’s next 90-odd shows.

Taylor Swift Thanks 'Louder Than Humanly Possible' Crowds in Sydney After 4 Eras Tour Shows: 'Endless Magical Moments'

The singer is fresh off four sold-out shows in Sydney, where guests including boyfriend Travis Kelce, Katy Perry and Rebel Wilson stopped by to see her show

Taylor Swift is feeling the rush after a record-breaking weekend in Sydney, Australia.

The singer, 34, reflected on her four Eras Tour shows in the city on Instagram Wednesday, writing, "Sydney, Sydney, Sydney, Sydney… what a whirlwind of endless magical moments with you. I’m so grateful that we got to be the first tour to play Accor Stadium 4 times."

She continued of the memorable moments from her latest stop on the worldwide tour, "I’ll never forget singing with Sabrina , the chaotic acoustic mashups, and the crowds that were louder (singing AND screaming) than I thought humanly possible. I want to thank all of the Aussie fans for being so positive and passionate, so funny and wild and FUN. Love you forever 🤍."

Swift post featured a carousel of images from the shows, including one of herself sitting at a piano on stage with her support act Sabrina Carpenter .

Swift and Carpenter, 24, duetted together at Friday's show after the "Feather" singer had her opening act canceled due to bad weather delaying the show.

The duo joined forces for a medley of "White Horse" and "Coney Island,” much to the delight of fans.

“9 year old Sabrina singing white horse would never see this s--- coming! I love you so so so dearly Taylor. Always have always will," Carpenter wrote on Instagram as she shared a video of the performance, with her rumored boyfriend, actor Barry Keoghan , leaving a “👑” emoji in the comments section of the post.

“Thank you Sydney for making me feel so welcome!! See you tonight💌,” she signed off the post ahead of her performance opening for Swift on Saturday.

Swift’s VIP tent was also packed over the course of her four shows at the Accor Stadium. On night one, her boyfriend Travis Kelce was in attendance and rocked plenty of friendships bracelets on his wrists as he sang along to Swift’s set.

Katy Perry and Rita Ora were also in attendance and were spotted chatting in the crowd as they waited for the show to start. Ora's husband, filmmaker Taika Waititi , also joined the duo.

After the show, Perry, 39, shared a series of snaps and clips from the concert on Instagram, including a smiling selfie with Swift backstage and a video of herself singing to "Bad Blood," which is rumored to have been inspired by the pair's years-long  complicated relationship .

"got to see an old friend shine tonight ♥️✨," the  American Idol  judge captioned the carousel.

The "Cruel Summer" singer's four nights in Sydney were her second stop on the Australian leg of her tour. She performed in Melbourne the prior weekend to similarly sold-out crowds. During her first night at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, she played to a crowd of 96,000 fans — her biggest audience yet.

Also thanking her thousands of fans who came out to see her in the city, Swift  celebrated wrapping her three shows in Melbourne  in a post on Instagram earlier this month.

"Melbourne, what do I even say to you after over 288,000 of you came and danced with us in the last 3 nights ??!" she wrote alongside a carousel of images from the shows. "That was unforgettable. You were on another LEVEL. Thank you for the memories. I’ll revisit the ones from this weekend often 🥲🫶."

The “Karma” singer's Eras Tour will next head to Singapore, with the pop superstar set to play six nights at the National Stadium starting on March 2.

Taylor Swift Announces New Australian Eras Tour Dates

Profile picture of Elle

Taylor Swift has finally announced more dates for the Australian leg of her Eras Tour in February 2024. We’ve been making our friendship bracelets and waiting to scream “Let’s go, b*tch” for longer than we’d like to admit. Now, it looks like we finally have our full dates.

Let us not forget that fans have enjoyed four new albums since she last toured in 2018 ( Lover, Folklore, Evermore and Midnights ), along with her re-records, so it’s about time that ‘Blondie’ made her way back Down Under.

After announcing her US leg in November 2022, and Latin American leg on May 2 2023, we are more than excited to see that Australia is confirmed to also get to view the majesty of this three-and-a-half hour concert.

Taylor Swift announced the Aussie concerts writing, “EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY 🙋‍♀️ I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates!”

Below, everything we know about the Australian Eras tour.

When Will Taylor Swift Be Coming To Australia?

eras tour in sydney

Taylor Swift in her Reputation era for the Eras Tour.

As mentioned, Taylor’s US tour is slated to end in August 2023, from there she’ll be heading to Latin America, and won’t be in Australia until February 2024. Swift has been to Australia for every single ‘World Tour’ since Fearless .

There’s no doubt that it will be worth the wait though, just to hear the singer say, “Hi, I’m Taylor” before diving head first into the show opener ‘Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince’.

Which cities will Taylor Swift go to in Australian Eras Tour?

eras tour in sydney

Oh please go to Brisbane Tay Tay!

Taylor Swift has attended at least Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in previous World Tours, with Perth and Adelaide getting alternating slots over the years.

However, for the Eras Tour Swift will only play in Sydney and Melbourne, on four nights for Sydney and three for Melbourne.

Naturally, this has fans everywhere in a tizzy. However, before you start crying in your bed to ‘Never Grow Up’, it’s important to remember that it’s great news Swift will be playing in such large capacity stadiums. So light a candle and start a vigil for those tickets.

Will Any More Dates Be Announced For Australia?

Yes! Taylor Swift announced two more Australian Eras Tour dates on June 29, 2023, one in Sydney (February 26, 2024) and one in Melbourne (February 18, 2024). As we understand it, she’s unlikely to add any extra weekends to her Australian tour as she needs to jet off for her next set of shows overseas.

Who Is The Support Act for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Australia?

eras tour in sydney

Taylor Swift will play, supported by Sabrina Carpenter, for the ‘Eras Tour’ in Latin America.

Good news for Taylor Swift fans, the support act will be none other than American singer Sabrina Carpenter. Known for her hit album Emails I Can’t Send , the singer is also the main support act for Swift’s Latin American tour.

TAYLOR SWIFT WILL BE HEADING TO MEXICO AND SOUTH AMERICA FIRST

On May 2, Swift announced that the first round of international dates would bring the Eras Tour to Latin America.

“Really thrilled to tell you this!! Mexico, Argentina and Brazil: We are bringing The Eras Tour to you this year! Sweet angel princess Sabrina Carpenter will be joining us on all of the shows!” she wrote on Instagram.

It’s a sweet gesture that Swift is prioritising Latin America in her Eras Tour, given she has only toured North America, Europe, Australia and Asia in her previous tours.

Where Else Is Taylor Swift Playing Internationally?

Taylor Swift will finish out 2023 in Latin America before moving to Japan in 2024 to start the new Asia/Oceania leg of her tour, which includes Japan, Australia and Singapore, before she darts to Europe.

Her European leg is slightly more extensive, starting in Paris, then Sweden, Lisbon, Madrid, Lyon, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, London, Dublin, Amsterdam, Zurich, Milan, Gelsenkirken, Hamburg, Munich, Warsaw, Vienna with two more shows in London to finish.

Taylor Swift Announces Australian Dates For The Eras Tour

Profile picture of Bree Player

Aussie Swifties rejoice! The world’s most famous popstar Taylor Swift has finally announced Australian tour dates for her epic Eras Tour. Block out February 2024 on your calendar and start planning your Eras inspired outfit now.

Below, everything we know about the Australian Eras tour announcement.

taylor-swift-eras-tour

Will The Eras Tour Come To Australia?

Yes! At 2am on the 21 st June, along with other regions worldwide, Taylor Swift finally announced that she will be bringing her Eras tour to Australia with dates slated for Sydney and Melbourne. On the 29th June, following high demand at presale, two more dates were announced as follows:

  • Melbourne MCG: Friday, 16 February 2024
  • Melbourne MCG: Saturday, 17 February 2024
  • NEW SHOW! Melbourne MCG: Sunday, 18 February 2024
  • Sydney Accor Arena: Friday, 23 February 2024
  • Sydney Accor Arena: Saturday, 24 February 2024
  • Sydney Accor Arena: Sunday 25 February 2024
  • NEW SHOW! Sydney Accor Arena: Monday, 26 February 2024

Aussie Swifties have been waiting for this announcement ever since the Grammy award winning artist first announced the US tour dates. Adding fuel to the rumours, notorious Instagram gossip page DeuxMoi did hint that Australian fans could be in luck, sharing an anonymous tip that read:

“Dates have been booked for Taylor at the MCG in Melbourne, Aus. So, she’s definitely coming to Australia!”

What Other Countries Will Taylor Visit?

Initially, the Eras tour was slated for US locations only .

When Taylor announced the tour back in November 2022, she wrote, “I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past & present!).

“The first leg of the tour will be in stadiums across the US, with international dates to be announced as soon as we can!”

Fast forward to May 2023 and the first round of international dates were (finally) announced.

On May 2, 2023, Taylor shared the news that she would bring Eras to Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil.

To top it off, she also announced that none other than Sabrina Carpenter would be the support act for the Latin American shows. Does it get much better than that?

taylor-swift-eras-tour-australia

Are Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide Getting Eras Tour Dates?

Taylor Swift has announced shows for Sydney and Melbourne only. Luckily, there are multiple dates in big stadiums, so if you live outside of those cities, now is the time to start saving for a trip to Sydney or Melbourne!

Will Any More Dates Be Announced For Australia?

Yes! Following presale, Taylor Swift announced two more dates for the Eras Tour, one in Sydney (Monday 26 Feb 2024) and in Melbourne (Sunday 18 Feb 2024).

Who Is The Support Act for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Australia?

Supporting Taylor for her Australian dates is none other than Sabrina Carpenter. The American singer has recently wrapped her own headline US tour, Emails I Can’t Send Tour and was recently announced as the support act for Taylor’s Latin America tour dates. Sabrina last visited Australia in 2014 for the Nickelodeon Slimefest.

NOT A DRILL: Taylor Swift Has Just Added Two Extra Dates To Her Australian Eras Tour

taylor swiftt eras tour

Laura Masia

Alexandra Koster

Soaliha Iqbal

Sweeney Preston

Tiketek made an announcement for the new tickets on Thursday November 9.

“Due to the demand, additional tickets including partially-obstructed side view tickets will be released with prices starting from $79.90,” it read.

“Limited tickets across all the Australian concert dates will be available from Friday 10 November at 10am for Sydney and 4pm for Melbourne until allocations are exhausted.” HUGE!!!!!!!!!

Previously, the demand for the shows prompted Miss Swift to add TWO more Eras Tour Australia dates to her time Down Under.

The queen giveth, the queen provideth.

Miss Swift added an extra show in Melbourne on February 18, and another in Sydney on February 26.

This makes Taylor the first artist since Madonna in 1993 to perform three shows at the MCG. That’s fkn huge.

Tickets for the extra shows went sale along with the original tickets back in June. While it wasn’t great news for our interstate hotties and pals in Aotearoa, it did give a little more hope to the hoards of people who missed out on pre-sale tickets.

If you missed out on tickets (sad), you can check out what resale sites are (and aren’t) recommended to buy tickets from . According to a Ticketek spokesperson, over four million people across Sydney and Melbourne were trying to snag tickets to see our glittery queen last time.

Now that there are more tickets up for grabs, we wish you good luck, godspeed, and may the odds be ever in your favour.

Ahead, we’ve compiled everything (and we mean everything ) you need to know about Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Australia.

When is Taylor Swift coming to Australia?

Taylor Swift will be performing two Eras Tour gigs in Melbourne and three gigs in Sydney in February 2024.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour Dates:

  • Friday 16 – Melbourne, MCG
  • Saturday 17 – Melbourne, MCG
  • Sunday 18 – Melbounre, MCG
  • Friday 23 – Sydney, Accor Stadium
  • Saturday 24 – Sydney, Accor Stadium
  • Sunday 25 – Sydney, Accor Stadium
  • Monday 26 – Sydney, Accor Stadium

When do Taylor Swift Eras Tour Australian tickets go on sale?

For those who were determined to be the first to get their grimy hands on Eras Tour tix in Australia, there were two pre-sale options. One was the American Express VIP package Pre-Sale which happened on June 26 and only sold VIP two packages — not general admission tickets.

After that, regular pre-sale and VIP tickets were available via Frontier Touring on Wednesday, June 28.

Unsurprisingly, the Frontier Member’s pre-sale was an absolute shit fight with many of us missing out.

General tickets went on sale Friday, June 30.

The new additional tickets will go on sale Friday, November 10. Sydney tickets will become available at 10am while the Melbourne allocation will be available at 4pm. What a time to be alive, my friends! Good luck to all!

What are the Taylor Swift ticket prices for Australia’s Eras Tour?

I hope you’re ready to drain your bank account and sell your firstborn because these bad boys are NOT cheap.

If you’re ready to go all out with A Reserve tickets, you’ll pay $379.90 a pop. But if you’re happy to just vibe along and don’t care where you sit, you could cop G Reserve tickets for $79.90.

Here’s how much tickets cost for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in Australia:

How can I get Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets?

Ah yes, that little chestnut. It’s expected to be extremely difficult to get Eras Tour ticket as demand far outweighs ticket availability.

But don’t fret, we’ve put together a guide filled with handy tips on how to make sure you actually get tickets to the Taylor Swift Eras Tour .

While you’re at it, can you make sure you get one for us?

How does the Ticketek queue work for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour?

PEDESTRIAN.TV spoke to a Ticketek representative about exactly how the Ticketek queue works in anticipation of general ticket sales.

Learn how the Ticketek queue works here .

Where’s the best place to sit for the Taylor Swift Eras Tour?

Good question. We’ve compiled an entire guide on the best (and worst) places to sit for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour based on some clever Swifties on TikTok who are really doing god’s work.

What is the Taylor Swift Eras Tour setlist?

The  official set list  includes 44 songs (!!) and the Eras Tour is doing exactly what it promised — taking Swifties on a journey through all the musical eras of Taylor Swift.

The Eras Tour is the first tour for the pop star in five years, and she’s performing hit after hit for the duration of the show.

Warning: spoilers ahead.

Eras Tour Setlist:

  • Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince”
  • “Cruel Summer”
  • “You Need to Calm Down”
  • “The Archer”
  • “You Belong With Me”
  • “Love Story”
  • ” ‘Tis the Damn Season”
  • “Champagne Problems”
  • “Tolerate It”
  • “Ready For It?”
  • “Don’t Blame Me”
  • “Look What You Made Me Do”
  • “Enchanted”
  • “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”
  • “I Knew You Were Trouble”
  • “All Too Well (10-Minute Version)”
  • “The Last Great American Dynasty”
  • “Illicit Affairs”
  • “My Tears Ricochet”
  • “Blank Space”
  • “Shake it Off”
  • “Wildest Dreams”
  • “Bad Blood”
  • “Mirrorball”
  • “Tim McGraw”
  • “Lavender Haze”
  • “Anti-Hero”
  • “Midnight Rain”
  • “Vigilante Shit”
  • “Bejeweled”
  • “Mastermind”

OG fans will be thrilled to see bops like “Enchanted” and “Fearless” both making the cut for the setlist.

There are tracks off of her fourth studio album Red , including “I Knew You Were Trouble” and the 10-minute (yes,  10-minute ) version of “All Too Well”, so excuse me while I curl up into a ball and sob for the remainder of the day.

“Cruel Summer” also makes an appearance. I’ve never wanted to see someone dancing around on stage in a bedazzled leotard more in my life.

“Lavender Haze”, “Mirrorball” and “Style” are all confirmed for Eras and seriously, Taylor Swift knows what we want and she  gives it to us .

Even “You Belong With Me” got some air time. 12-year-old me is screaming .

Tracks from every single album appear to be making the cut. Why doesn’t every artist structure their live performances like this ?

And while many Aussies have been miffed over not having tour dates until 2024, there is a slight silver lining in that we might be able to see more songs from Speak Now (the best album, IMHO) on the setlist thanks to its re-release in July.

Why has there been so much drama over the location of Taylor Swift’s Australian Eras Tour shows?

Ooooh boy, there’s been a lot of whispers about the location of Taylor Swift’s Australian Eras Tour for months now.

It all kicked off from a Tweet posted in March when the oracular gossip site Deuxmoi hinted that Taylor Swift had already booked the country’s biggest stadium, the MCG, for her tour.

“Dates have been booked for Taylor at the MCG in Melbourne, Aus. So she’s definitely coming to Australia!” the Tweet read.

Shortly after this, an anonymous individual claiming to work for the MCG sent the Shameless podcast a DM claiming TayTay is defs on her way.

“Hush Hush but I work for the MCG and dates have been booked in for Taylor,” they wrote.

taylor swift shameless MCG tickets australia eras tour

Per the anon tea spiller, the “You Need To Calm Down” singer will be playing not one but TWO shows at the MCG.

Thankfully, they were right! Yahoo!

Is there any footage of the Taylor Swift Eras Tour?

For the last few months, Australians have been forced to watch footage from the Eras Tour unfold on TikTok, including vids featuring the likes of Hayley Williams ,  Gigi Hadid ,  and  Emma Stone straight-vibing. TBH, it’s had Aussie Swifties begging for a Taylor Swift Australia tour.

The Eras Tour kicked off on March 17 in the US, and based on the footage, it’s everything we wanted and more.

A ‘yuge thank you to all the overseas Swifties for the glorious footage from the Taylor Swift Eras Tour!

This tour is cracking up to be everything I could ever want in a T Swift tour, the song choices, the wardrobe changes, the set . Phenomenal, truly.

Taylor Swift Across the Globe: The Best International Moments From the Eras Tour

By Rolling Stone

Rolling Stone

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has been one of the biggest pop music events of the last couple of years — and it’s only gotten bigger as Swift has taken the show across the world. More Swifties have been able to come out and see the pop icon as she’s bounced to and from every corner of the globe, playing massive sold-out stadiums in Europe, Latin America, and more. Even celebrities have turned out to catch the Eras tour in new countries and cities: Prince William stopped by with George and Charlotte in London, Blackpink’s Lisa hung out in Singapore, and Katy Perry sang along in Australia. Along with some all-star attendees, the international leg of the tour has also been full of giant surprises, brand new song mash-ups, and onstage guests — including Travis Kelce himself, who made an appearance in Wembley. Here are the very best international moments of the tour.

Travis Kelce Makes His Eras Tour Debut

LONDON, ENGLAND - JUNE 23: (EDITORIAL USE ONLY. NO BOOK COVERS) EXCLUSIVE ACCESS. (Photo by Gareth Cattermole/TAS24/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management )

It was already a big deal to see Travis Kelce’s family travel to Europe for the Wembley shows, but no one could have imagined that the Super Bowl champion himself would make his stage debut. Each night before singing “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” Swift and her dancers do a vaudevillian pantomime of the star being forced to get ready and perform. Suddenly, there was Kelce alongside the dancers in a top hat and tuxedo, gleefully helping his pop star partner get ready by carrying her to a couch and putting makeup on her face. Kelce even added a jazzy little hop-and-kick to the mix. Swift couldn’t help but break character, giggling a bit as her athletic beau channeled his theater kid side. — B.S.

Taylor Marks All Her Songs ‘Fair Game’ at the Last Show of 2023

SAO PAULO, BRAZIL - NOVEMBER 24: (EDITORIAL USE ONLY. NO BOOK COVERS.) Taylor Swift performs onstage during "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" at Allianz Parque on November 24, 2023 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. (Photo by Buda Mendes/TAS23/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management )

In 2023, Swift set a personal goal to explore her entire discography for the surprise song set and switch up the two selections each night. But for the final show in São Paulo, the singer threw out these rules and announced that all her songs were “fair game” in 2024. Finally, fans didn’t have to worry about “losing” their favorite track at a show they didn’t have tickets to. — M.G.

Taylor Races From Tokyo to the Super Bowl

TOKYO, JAPAN - FEBRUARY 07: EDITORIAL USE ONLY. NO BOOK COVERS. Taylor Swift performs onstage during "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" at Tokyo Dome on February 7, 2024 in Tokyo, Japan. (Photo by Christopher Jue/TAS24/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management )

As soon as Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl, the world wanted to know if Swift would be there. The major thing stopping her? A sold-out Eras tour stop in Tokyo, Japan, a seven-hour time change between Tokyo and Las Vegas, and the 12-hour flight. Everyone weighed in on the logistical nightmare and Swift’s ability to defy all odds and support her boyfriend in person. The Japanese Embassy even put out a statement assuring fans it was completely possible, saying, “anyone concerned can be Fearless in knowing that this talented performer can wow Japanese audiences and still make it to Las Vegas.” — M.G.

Paul McCartney Dances With Fans During “But Daddy I Love Him”

Boston, MA - June 7: Paul McCartney in concert at Fenway Park in Boston on June 7, 2022. (Photo by Barry Chin/The Boston Globe via Getty Images)

The Wembley Stadium shows were packed with special guests who traded bracelets with fans and screamed along from the VIP tent. But it was none other than Paul McCartney who dared to join the crowd. With his daughters by his side, the Beatle joyfully danced with a group of extremely lucky Swifties during “But Daddy, I Love Him.” McCartney is all too familiar with the screams of hundreds of thousands of girls filling a stadium, and he looked just as comfortable joining them on the floor as he does when he’s up on that stage himself. — B.S.

Taylor Unleashes the Most Chaotic Surprise Song Mash-ups of Our Wildest Dreams

LONDON, ENGLAND - JUNE 21: (EDITORIAL USE ONLY AND NO COMMERCIAL USE AT ANY TIME. NO USE ON PUBLICATION COVERS.) Taylor Swift performs onstage during "Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour" at Wembley Stadium on June 21, 2024 in London, England. (Photo by Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management)

Once Swift shook up the rules to her Surprise Song set, the singer started piecing together tracks and creating unhinged mash-ups. From blending seemingly unrelated songs like “Getaway Car,” “August,” and the “The Other Side of the Door” together to pairing tracks from the same era like “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” and “Dress,” the mash-ups seem to have no rhyme or reason, just the goal to create chaos and inspire new lore amongst Swifties. — M.G.

Taylor Dedicates “Clara Bow” to Her Twin Flame Stevie Nicks

Swift put her special bond with the one and only Stevie Nicks on full display by dedicating the referential “Clara Bow” to Nicks while she was in the audience at the show in Dublin. When Swift sang the line “You look like Stevie Nicks,” the crowd went wild — and the rock goddess caught the whole thing on her iPhone from the VIP tent. Swift followed the TTPD track with “You’re On Your Own Kid,” a song that Nicks holds dear to her heart for how it helped her deal with losing Fleetwood Mac bandmate Christine McVie. — M.G.

Blackpink’s Lisa Swaps Friendship Bracelets in Singapore

Blackpink’s Lisa was ready for it when she showed up at the Eras tour in Singapore rocking a Reputation -inspired outfit and trading friendship bracelets with the audience of Swifties. The K-pop singer even met Swift backstage after the show and recapped the memorable night with an Instagram photo dump . — M.G.

Andrew Scott and Phoebe Waller-Bridge Sprint Back to Stage When “Style” Comes on

Not only did fans of Fleabag get a reunion — but they got one at the Eras Tour. During night three of Swift’s Wembley Stadium dates in London, Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Andrew Scott were spotted dancing in the VIP tent and exchanging friendship bracelets. But the moment that caught the internet’s attention was seeing the pair fleeing the tent and instantly sprinting back when they heard the opening chords of “Style.” Celebs, they’re just like us. — I.K.

Taylor Officially Adds ‘Tortured Poets’ to Eras Setlist

Chaos ensued on the opening night of the Eras European leg in Paris as Swift started cutting songs from the setlist and rearranging different sections without explanation. But it all made sense when she emerged onstage in a white gown from the “Fortnight” music video to officially bring The Tortured Poets Department to the tour. Swift debuted “But Daddy I Love Him,” “So High School,” “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?,” “Down Bad,” “Fortnight,” “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” live and made them setlist staples for the remaining Eras shows. — M.G.

Hayley Williams Brings Haunting Melodies to ‘Castles Crumbling’

“You’re my longest music friend,” Hayley Williams told Swift as they shared a piano bench to sing their duet from Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) . The pair made Swemo dreams come true as they gushed over each other and their decades-long friendship. Williams even brought the stadium back to 2010 by wearing a purple dress and scribbling lyrics down her arm with a Sharpie marker — a classic look from Swift’s 2010 Speak Now World Tour . — M.G.

Taylor Changes “Karma” Lyrics In Nod to Travis Kelce

(Photo by Marcelo Endelli/TAS23/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management)

It was exciting enough when Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, traveled to Argentina to watch the singer bring the Eras Tour to South America. But people lost it when Swift swapped the lyrics in closing number “Karma” and sang “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs” in a nod to her NFL player boyfriend (a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.) The excitement from the crowd almost created another Swiftquake — and the Midnights track did see a notable jump in streams following the live moment. — M.G.

Thanks to the Eras Tour, the world discovered Prince William is also a Swiftie. After attending the first night of Swift’s string of Wembley Stadium dates to ring in his 42nd birthday, the Prince of Wales — along with children George and Charlotte — posed for selfies with the pop megastar. While he shared one image on social media , Swift shared another , which featured her NFL beau Travis Kelce. Some luckier fans even saw Prince William rocking out to “Shake It Off” during the show. — I.K.

“You get extra credit points if you know this next song at all… It’s really old,” Swift quipped in Edinburg before breaking into a piano rendition of the love song “Crazier.” The track was included in the 2009 film Hannah Montana: The Movie . Since her cameo in the movie, Swift hasn’t played the song  live — until the Eras Tour. To make the live debut even better, Swift mashed up  “Crazier” with another flawless B-side, “All of the Girls” from the Lover era. It was a moment that left several Swifties in attendance, and offline, screaming and spinning around. — M.G.

Sabrina Carpenter Joins in Latin America and Asia

MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA - FEBRUARY 16: EDITORIAL USE ONLY. NO BOOK COVERS Sabrina Carpenter performs on stage at Melbourne Cricket Ground on February 16, 2024 in Melbourne, Australia. (Photo by Graham Denholm/TAS24/Getty Images for TAS Rights Management)

It’s impossible not to tie the beginning of Sabrina Carpenter’s pop dominance to her co-sign from Taylor Swift, so it made sense that for the Latin America and Asia run of the Eras Tour, Swift welcomed Carpenter onstage. “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” may have still been in the vault, but these performances let the Emails I Can’t Send pop star connect with Swift’s vast audience. And where better to connect to a devoted fanbase than in Latin America and Asia? — T.M.

Hugh Grant Thanks Taylor and Boyfriend

Hugh Grant had a night on the town with his family at the Eras Tour. While attending the second night of Swift’s Wembley Stadium concerts, he apparently enjoyed some tequila shots with the pop star’s boyfriend Travis Kelce and had fun with some friendship bracelets. After the show, Grant penned a sweet note to Swift on X that said, “Dear @taylorswift13 , You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend ( #tequilashots .). Thanks so much from one ageing London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old #halfgirlhalfbracelet .” — I.K.

Griff’s Debut at The Eras Tour

LUTON, ENGLAND - MAY 25: Griff performs at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend 2024 on May 25, 2024 in Luton, England. (Photo by Joseph Okpako/WireImage)

For more than three years, rising pop star Griff has been on Taylor Swift’s radar. Swift gave Griff’s stripped-down track “Shades of Yellow” a shoutout , the pair met and took a sweet photo together at the 2021 BRITs , and last fall, Swift promoted Griff’s single synth-pop anthem “Vertigo.” Fans suspected something could be brewing between the pair — and they were right. Griff opened the second night of her Wembley Stadium Eras Tour dates in London. For the special performance, Griff — who has made many of her costumes over the years — even crafted a dress in honor of Swift’s TTPD track “But Daddy I Love Him.” — I.K.

Tom Cruise left his action-hero career behind for one night to join the Swifties. The actor was spotted at night two of the Wembley Stadium Eras Tour dates where he could be seen enjoying the concert from the VIP tent. But like any good Swift fan, Cruise joined in on the fun and was seen exchanging friendship bracelets with fans. — I.K.

Gracie Abrams Returns to the Surprise Song Stage to Debut “Us”

Gracie Abrams spent most of 2023 as an Eras Tour opener, and fans kept wondering when the two would perform their new duet “Us.” On the third night of Swift’s Wembley run, Abrams was spotted in the VIP tent. She ended up joining Swift during the “surprise song” part of the show for a special piano-and-guitar performance of “Us.,” which appears on Abrams’ latest album The Story of Us . This marked the second time they’ve duetted together during the surprise song portion: Swift previously invited Abrams to sing “I Miss You, I’m Sorry” during a show in Ohio after weather forced Abrams’ opening slot to be cut that night. — B.S.

Katy Perry Sings Along to ‘Bad Blood’

During the Sydney stop of the Eras Tour in late February, Taylor Swift had an “old friend” in the audience: Katy Perry. The Teenage Dream singer shared a selfie video singing along to “Bad Blood,” the track Swift allegedly wrote about her while they were feuding and had been (as Swift told Rolling Stone in 2014) “straight-up enemies.” The pair even shared a photo together after the show: “Got to see an old friend shine tonight,” Perry wrote about Swift. — T.M.

Even the best things must come to the end, and Swift acknowledged as much when she announced the official end of the Eras Tour. During the surprise song set in Liverpool, Swift announced that the tour would finish in December, after the second U.S. leg finishes. — M.G.

It seems Taylor Swift may have underestimated how beloved she is Down Under, that even right up until showtime, fans were clamouring for tickets.

In a new TikTok video taken on Night 2 of her sold-out Eras Tour in Sydney , fans who missed out on tickets who descended onto Accor Stadium anyway were seen running to the ticket booths when last minute tickets were announced over the speakers.

The clip, shared by user Melissa Aleksioska, showed hordes of Swifties rushing to the ticket booths for one last shot at getting their hands on the coveted seats.

“When they announce last minute tickets,” Melissa captioned the video.

Several TikTok users noted how “dangerous” the moment looked, with one commented that “people [are] about to be crushed”.

Another video on TikTok is getting attention after one user called out fans who arrived to the Sydney show one hour late.

A fan who wasn’t lucky enough to score a ticket aired their grievances on the platform, sharing a video of them sitting outside Accor Stadium while concertgoers arrived late and headed straight past them and into the arena.

“The people arriving at the Era Tour over 1 hour late vs. the fans who missed out on tickets and had to listen from outside,” the user captioned the video, while stationed outside the stadium on the ground.

However, some TikTok commenters suggested perhaps these fans were arriving late due to unforeseen circumstances or flight delays and cancellations because of the weather.

The user, who appeared to stay outside the stadium from start to finish, was also not impressed when some concertgoers left early while Taylor was still singing.

“Don’t even get me started on the people who left early,” they added.

Please read the  Live Performance Australia Safe Tix Guide .

We have not allocated any tickets for the Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour to unauthorised resellers (which include but are not limited to Viagogo; Stubhub; Ticketfinders; The Ticket Merchant; Worldticketshop; and Tixel).

We cannot guarantee any ticket purchased through unauthorised resellers or via websites such as eBay, Gumtree and social media Buy Swap Sell pages. To make sure you pay the correct ticket price and receive valid tickets, you must purchase via Ticketek Australia.

Frontier and Ticketek are not responsible for unauthorised ticket disputes and are unable to assist you if you purchase outside the official ticketing agency (Ticketek Australia).

What is unethical secondary ticketing and ticket resale?

Unethical secondary ticketing is when people buy tickets at face value and then resell them at inflated prices via unapproved methods and websites, thus denying real fans the chance to buy at face value.

This includes ticket touts and unauthorised resellers who use multiple payment cards, false identities and sophisticated computer programmes (‘bots’) to buy up large amounts of tickets which they then offer for resale at highly inflated prices.

How do I safely sell my tickets?

The reselling of any Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour ticket is strictly forbidden other than through Ticketek's official resale platform (called Ticketek Marketplace). Ticketek Marketplace is accessible HERE .

Ticketek Marketplace opened for the listing and resale of tickets at 10am AEDT on Friday 24 November 2023 and is available up until12pm AEDT on the show date for all tickets except VIP Packages and Hotel + Ticket Packages.

What else are you doing to combat the secondary market?

Your mobile phone number is linked to your ticket order. Your tickets are linked to both your Ticketek account AND your mobile phone number. This means your ticket and the individual information you gave when you purchased your ticket are linked. If a ticket is resold in any method other than via Ticketek's official resale platform, then the mobile phone number will not be linked to the ticket(s) and you will be refused entry to the venue.

What do I do if I get to the venue and believe I have purchased a fraudulent ticket?

If you have purchased tickets from anywhere other than the authorised ticketing agency, Ticketek, or their resale platform, Ticketek Marketplace, you risk not being granted entry to the venue. If you have any issues with your ticket on show day, please head directly to the venue Box Office. Please note, Box Office staff cannot assist those who may have obtained tickets through channels other than Ticketek or Ticketek Marketplace. You must have valid photo ID which matches the name of the Ticketek account for the Box Office staff to be able to assist you.

Melbourne Cricket Ground’s Box Office can be found at Gate 3 on the Northern side of the ground and at Gate 6 on the Shane Warne Stand side.

Accor Stadium’s Box Office can be found at Gates A/B and Gates J/K.

Please note Frontier and Ticketek are not responsible for unauthorised ticket disputes and are unable to assist you if you have purchased tickets outside the official ticketing agency (Ticketek Australia).

Taylor Marks All Her Songs ‘Fair Game’ at the Last Show of 2023

In 2023, Swift set a personal goal to explore her entire discography for the surprise song set and switch up the two selections each night. But for the final show in São Paulo, the singer threw out these rules and announced that all her songs were “fair game” in 2024. Finally, fans didn’t have to worry about “losing” their favorite track at a show they didn’t have tickets to. —M.G.

Taylor Races From Tokyo to the Super Bowl

As soon as Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs made it to the Super Bowl, the world wanted to know if Swift would be there. The major thing stopping her? A sold-out Eras tour stop in Tokyo, Japan, a seven-hour time change between Tokyo and Las Vegas, and the 12-hour flight. Everyone weighed in on the logistical nightmare and Swift’s ability to defy all odds and support her boyfriend in person. The Japanese Embassy even put out a statement assuring fans it was completely possible, saying, “anyone concerned can be Fearless in knowing that this talented performer can wow Japanese audiences and still make it to Las Vegas.” —M.G.

Paul McCartney Dances With Fans During “But Daddy I Love Him”

Once Swift shook up the rules to her Surprise Song set, the singer started piecing together tracks and creating unhinged mash-ups. From blending seemingly unrelated songs like “Getaway Car,” “August,” and the “The Other Side of the Door” together to pairing tracks from the same era like “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” and “Dress,” the mash-ups seem to have no rhyme or reason, just the goal to create chaos and inspire new lore amongst Swifties. —M.G.

Blackpink’s Lisa Swaps Friendship Bracelets in Singapore

Blackpink’s Lisa was ready for it when she showed up at the Eras tour in Singapore rocking a Reputation-inspired outfit and trading friendship bracelets with the audience of Swifties. The K-pop singer even met Swift backstage after the show and recapped the memorable night with an Instagram photo dump. —M.G.

Hayley Williams Brings Haunting Melodies to ‘Castles Crumbling’

“You’re my longest music friend,” Hayley Williams told Swift as they shared a piano bench to sing their duet from Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). The pair made Swemo dreams come true as they gushed over each other and their decades-long friendship. Williams even brought the stadium back to 2010 by wearing a purple dress and scribbling lyrics down her arm with a Sharpie marker — a classic look from Swift’s 2010 Speak Now World Tour. —M.G.

Taylor Changes “Karma” Lyrics In Nod to Travis Kelce

It was exciting enough when Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, traveled to Argentina to watch the singer bring the Eras Tour to South America. But people lost it when Swift swapped the lyrics in closing number “Karma” and sang “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs” in a nod to her NFL player boyfriend (a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs.) The excitement from the crowd almost created another Swiftquake — and the Midnights track did see a notable jump in streams following the live moment. —M.G.

Taylor Meets Prince William

Thanks to the Eras Tour, the world discovered Prince William is also a Swiftie. After attending the first night of Swift’s string of Wembley Stadium dates to ring in his 42nd birthday, the Prince of Wales — along with children George and Charlotte — posed for selfies with the pop megastar. While he shared one image on social media, Swift shared another, which featured her NFL beau Travis Kelce. Some luckier fans even saw Prince William rocking out to “Shake It Off” during the show. —I.K.

The Live Debut of “Crazier” After 15 Years

“You get extra credit points if you know this next song at all… It’s really old,” Swift quipped in Edinburg before breaking into a piano rendition of the love song “Crazier.” The track was included in the 2009 film Hannah Montana: The Movie. —M.G.

Sabrina Carpenter Joins in Latin America and Asia

It’s impossible not to tie the beginning of Sabrina Carpenter’s pop dominance to her co-sign from Taylor Swift, so it made sense that for the Latin America and Asia run of the Eras Tour, Swift welcomed Carpenter onstage. “Espresso” and “Please Please Please” may have still been in the vault, but these performances let the Emails I Can’t Send pop star connect with Swift’s vast audience. And where better to connect to a devoted fanbase than in Latin America and Asia? —T.M.

After the show, Grant penned a sweet note to Swift on X that said, “Dear @taylorswift13 , You have an incredible show, an amazing and v hospitable team and excellent if gigantic boyfriend (#tequilashots.). Thanks so much from one ageing London boy, wife and thrilled 8 year old #halfgirlhalfbracelet.” —I.K.

Griff’s Debut at The Eras Tour

For more than three years, rising pop star Griff has been on Taylor Swift’s radar. Swift gave Griff’s stripped-down track “Shades of Yellow” a shoutout, the pair met and took a sweet photo together at the 2021 BRITs, and last fall, Swift promoted Griff’s single synth-pop anthem “Vertigo.” Fans suspected something could be brewing between the pair — and they were right. Griff opened the second night of her Wembley Stadium Eras Tour dates in London. For the special performance, Griff — who has made many of her costumes over the years — even crafted a dress in honor of Swift’s TTPD track “But Daddy I Love Him.” —I.K.

She ended up joining Swift during the “surprise song” part of the show for a special piano-and-guitar performance of “Us.,” which appears on Abrams’ latest album The Story of Us. This marked the second time they’ve duetted together during the surprise song portion: Swift previously invited Abrams to sing “I Miss You, I’m Sorry” during a show in Ohio after weather forced Abrams’ opening slot to be cut that night. —B.S.

18 Behind-The-Scenes Secrets You Probably Didn’t Know About The Eras Tour

Whether you’ve been lucky enough to attend Taylor Swift ’s Eras tour in person on its recent UK leg, or you’ve just been following the spectacle on social media, the chances are you’ve been asking the same question as us – how on earth do she and her team do it?

Between performing for more than three hours straight night after night, whizzing through numerous fast-paced costume changes and visiting a seemingly endless list of cities on the world jaunt, there’s no doubt the gargantuan tour is a real feat.

But, it’s also left us with endless questions about how the whole thing comes together. Allow us to help you out with some of the big ones.

The stages are set up days in advice

Even when Taylor Swift momentarily disappears during her seamless transitions, her interactive stage is a show in itself.

As the singer journeys through the Eras, the display changes with her – from the golden glow of Fearless to the lavender haze of Midnights.

So, how does she bring such a complex set-up all around the world with her?

Founder and CEO of market intelligence company FreightWaves Craig Fuller estimated that the Eras tour will cost more than $30 million (around £23 million) for transportation and logistics alone. And with tours of this magnitude (just like Beyoncé ’s Renaissance shows) it’s not uncommon to have two or more sets on the go so that crew can begin assembling at the next location.

Dave Brooks, Billboard Senior Director of Live Music and Touring, outlined the process with The New York Post , sharing: “They have advance teams that can be prepping and pre-building.”

“It takes two to three weeks, in my understanding,” he added.

However, while one report suggested that an estimated 90 trucks will arrive at the venue to construct the stage, a source supposedly close to the tour told automotive publication Jalopnik that this figure is actually closer to around 50.

Fans on Reddit who have actually been to the tour have also recalled seeing the stage being deconstructed almost immediately once the concert finishes, so they really don’t waste a minute before hitting the road to do it all over again.

And Taylor is fully aware what a huge operation it is behind the scenes, even giving her drivers $100,000 (£79,000) bonuses .

In total, she handed out over $55 million (£43 million) in bonuses to the crew working on the tour, as a source told People . One trucker told Rolling Stone that the sum was “life-changing”.

Taylor did a lot of prep to be able to perform for that long

How, when our lower back was aching and feet were screaming just as an Eras tour audience member, can Taylor do what she does for over three hours night after night?

Well, first of all, she started boosting her endurance well before the tour started. In her recent cover profile with Time magazine, the singer shared: “I knew this tour was harder than anything I’d ever done before by a long shot.”

Joking that she has been “like a frat guy” on past tours, this time around, she began training a whole six months before the shows started.

“Every day I would run on the treadmill, singing the entire set list out loud,” she said. “Fast for fast songs, and a jog or a fast walk for slow songs.”

Her gym even created a personalised programme for her, focusing on strength, conditioning and weights work.

“Then I had three months of dance training, because I wanted to get it in my bones,” she added. “I wanted to be so over-rehearsed that I could be silly with the fans, and not lose my train of thought.”

Taylor also completely cut out alcohol to make sure she was on top form at all times

“Doing that show with a hangover,” she said, “I don’t want to know that world.”

There are also other strict measures in place to ensure the singer doesn’t get sick

Just imagine the disappointment of hearing your night at the Eras tour was cancelled because poor Taylor had caught a cold. Apparently her team does everything in its collective power to keep her fighting fit on the road.

A music industry source told Yahoo Lifestyle that Taylor wasn’t planning to take in the sights or meet fans while in Australia, just in case she got ill.

“When Taylor is on tour, strict measures are put into place to stop her interacting with anyone outside of her ‘bubble’. They can not risk her getting sick under any circumstances,” they said.

“Even those in her bubble, including her dancers and managers, are restricted [in] what they can do and where they can go during their downtime.

“Going on a world tour may sound exciting, but the reality of it is each day just consists of going from a hotel room to the venue and repeat.”

However, we, of course, know that Taylor will sometimes make an exception when there’s a window of downtime, whether it’s grabbing dinner with her famous friends or cheering on boyfriend Travis Kelce in the Super Bowl .

She also told Time that being sick isn’t enough for her to cancel a show.

“I know I’m going on that stage whether I’m sick, injured, heartbroken, uncomfortable, or stressed,” she said. “That’s part of my identity as a human being now. If someone buys a ticket to my show, I’m going to play it unless we have some sort of force majeure.”

And she doesn’t play around when it comes to recovery

It turns out that Taylor recovers from a show exactly as you would imagine.

“I do not leave my bed except to get food and take it back to my bed and eat it there,” she told Time .

“It’s a dream scenario. I can barely speak because I’ve been singing for three shows straight. Every time I take a step my feet go crunch, crunch, crunch from dancing in heels.”

How did Taylor Swift choose songs for the Eras tour setlist?

By now, we know that the Eras tour is a journey through all the various albums of Taylor’s career.

That means we get all the hits – both old and new – along with the odd deep cut, as well as different surprise songs at every show in her dedicated acoustic segment.

It can’t have been easy choosing the setlist from such a huge back catalogue of songs, and so far Taylor hasn’t really opened up about how exactly she does it.

However, we do know that she loves to keep fans on their toes and switches things up occasionally.

“You think you can just go online, you think you can just scroll and know the setlist?’” the pop star joked during a show in Arlington, Texas earlier this year.

“You think you can just come prepared with your little flashcards in your pocket,” she added. “Let it be said about the Eras tour, we’re tricksy. That’s what we are. We enjoy a good, healthy setlist hijinks.”

That night, she swapped her Folklore song Invisible String to The 1.

And what about picking the surprise song each night?

E ach night during the acoustic portion of the Eras show, Taylor will perform two songs. These could quite literally be anything from across her lengthy career, and sometimes they even come in the form of a mash-up .

For a while, Taylor refrained from performing any repeat songs throughout the whole tour. But in February this year, she did away with that rule .

“I’ve been thinking, I want to be as creative as possible with the acoustic set moving forward,” she told a crowd in Melbourne.

“I want to be able to play songs more than once if I feel like it, and I wanna be able to make changes to songs.”

As for how she actually picks them, it’s still a mystery, despite fans’ best efforts to work out her methods .

How did Taylor Swift incorporate The Tortured Poets Department portion of the Eras tour?

Europe may have waited longer than anyone to finally experience the Eras tour, but our patience was rewarded in the form of The Tortured Poets Department segment – a newly-added run of songs featuring bespoke set-pieces, costumes and even a one-off surprise appearance from Taylor’s boyfriend Travs Kelce .

It’s even more impressive that Taylor somehow managed to create a whole extra part of the tour after the already-lengthy show was up and running.

During her second night in Paris this year, the singer revealed to fans that planning started months before The Tortured Poets Department ever made it to the stage.

“We started planning this surprise for you about eight or nine months ago and then when we got ‘two months off’ of the Eras Tour, we really didn’t take any time off at all,” she said in a video shared by Variety .

“We just went directly back into rehearsals. So I’d like to give it up for my crew, my dancers, and my band.”

However, some setlist sacrifices did have to be made in order to make room for Taylor’s newest era, with songs like The Archer, The Last Great American Dynasty and ’Tis the Damn Season not making the cut for the second leg of the tour.

Taylor previously disclosed that work on her latest release began “ right after I turned in Midnights”, with work continuing throughout the US leg of her world jaunt last year.

Those costume changes happen like clockwork

There are 16 costume changes throughout the Eras tour, most of which only last two minutes or so.

There’s no official behind-the-scenes confirmation of how it all works just yet, but our best guess (along with those of some experienced theatre performers ) is that there’s some quick-change magic going on. Taylor will also have a team of people helping her backstage, who will be around for hair and makeup touch-ups as well as costume changes.

Dan George, a tour manager who has worked for Shakira and Britney Spears in the past, told the New York Post : “All costumes are typically modified in some way that’s going to make it really easy to get in and out of.

“A dress that would typically have buttons, maybe they add a zipper on it instead. Or the performer might need to have a pouch for a battery pack in a costume. You know, little customizations that make things easier.”

One TikTok user also captured a pretty good angle of a costume change during Midnight Rain.

While performing in locations where it gets darker earlier, Taylor was even filmed doing some outfit adjustments and taking a quick water break on the stage.

And, as anyone who’s seen the show before will know, some of those costume changes even take place on stage as part of the show – which is how Travis wound up making his cameo in London .

Taylor’s parents adorned her bejewelled Fearless guitar by hand

Even a globe-trotting pop star needs a little help from mum and dad every now and again.

Taylor’s crystal encrusted guitar, which she plays during the Fearless portion of the night (matching the one she used on her 2009 tour), was hand-finished by her parents, who stuck the shimmering stones on by hand using “super glue and a free afternoon.”

Who decides which audience member gets Taylor Swift’s 22 hat?

Each night during the Red portion of the set, Taylor gifts her signed bowler hat to a very lucky fan while singing 22.

While neither Taylor nor her team has ever said anything about how the fan in question is chosen, there are plenty of theories out there.

One of them is that Taylor’s mum, Andrea , will scope out the crowd to look for fans. During her closing night Wembley show in July, Taylor confirmed that her parents will, indeed, take a look at the crowd before the show and report back how the energy is looking that night.

Previous recipients have reported being approached by Taylor’s team during the concert. Nine-year-old Milana Bruno was chosen at Taylor’s first Melbourne, and thought she was “getting told off” for dancing on her chair at first, according to the Sydney Morning Herald .

The mother of another fan at the Cardiff show, seven-year-old Evie Frith, recalled being chosen totally unexpectedly.

“At the end of Love Story, someone grabbed Evie and me and said ‘quick, run’,” mum Kayleigh told the BBC . “They took us to the ground floor bit – I have no idea how they spotted Evie. I really believe it was meant to be.”

But other times it seems she’s the Mastermind behind it all…

Kobe Bryant’s daughter Bianka was gifted the hat at one of Taylor’s Los Angeles Show, and when New Zealand TikToker Oliver Mills received the hat in Melbourne, Taylor was filmed telling him: “I love your videos, you’re so funny”.

In an interview with The Project , Oliver teased that while he wasn’t one to “share secrets”, he said he was in the “right place at the right time” (though later admitted in a TikTok that he’s been “lying” to the media to keep the secret.

Taylor’s method of getting backstage is hilariously unglamorous

If you’re deep on Swift-tok, you’ll have seen plenty of theories that Taylor makes her way backstage via…a cleaning cart.

One video actually appeared to prove that this is how Taylor secretly gets into position, which you can watch below. Also, absolutely 10/10 touch with three conveniently placed mops.

How does Taylor Swift pull off that Eras tour dive every night?

You know the one, where she dives head first (fearless!) into a gap in the stage like she’s entering a body of water.

Attendees who have been at just the right angle spotted that Taylor takes her cue to dive from an LED light. When the floor opens up it’s red, and when it’s time to go the light will turn green.

As for how she zooms to the other end of the stage, back in 2018 Taylor gave fans a little behind the scenes video of the “rocket sled” that takes her from one end of to the other, so we suspect it’s something similar helping pull off the illusion that she’s actually swimming underneath walkway.

Taylor’s choreographer has also worked on some HUGE movies

If you’re a big Swiftie you might have taught yourself some of the Eras dance moves by now (we can’t get enough of the Karma steps , personally), and it turns out Taylor had some help from a choreographer who’s a pretty huge deal in the movie industry.

Mandy Moore not only choreographed Taylor’s steps, but she’s the dance expert behind those amazing La La Land dance scenes. She’s also got credits for Babylon starring Margot Robbie and has worked on Dancing With The Stars since 2015.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about working with Taylor, she shared: “I love that she is a hard worker, she cares so much about what she’s doing, she wants the fans to have the best show possible, and she stops at nothing to get that done.

“And I appreciate it because I like to work hard too, and we are really alike. We had a really good working relationship; it was awesome.”

The show has (sort of) caused mini earthquakes

When Taylor was performing in Seattle, the city generated seismic activity equivalent to a 2.3 magnitude earthquake, according to a seismologist who spoke to CNN .

Then she did it again in Edinburgh, with the British Geological Survey reporting that earthquake readings were detected up to 6 km away from the venue.

The Eras tour is raking in even more cash than you’d expect

With stadiums ranging from 50,000 to 90,000 capacity and an expected 152 Eras shows performed by the end of 2024, it’s pretty mind-boggling to try and fathom how much cash that is raking in.

As of 2023, it was the first tour in history to gross $1 billion (£ 791.5 million) – and Taylor is estimated to make an additional  billion in ticket sales in 2024 alone.

Taylor Swift donates to the food banks of every city she stops in

If Taylor Swift is coming to town, you can be sure that the whole city is going to know about it. And in a generous gesture to mark her visit to each location, she donates big sums of money to food banks .

The Cardiff Foodbank said Taylor’s donation was the largest the charity has ever received, which it said has now given them “breathing space” to try new things .

St Andrew’s Community Network in Liverpool, added that her donation there was the “most incredible gift”.

2. to listen to different surprise songs, 3. to see the setlist pre-tortured poets department, how to watch taylor swift: the eras tour (taylor's version).

On Friday 21st of June, I did the thing I've been waiting for since I first listened to her self-titled album - I saw pop icon Taylor Swift live on stage. As a proud member of The Eras Tour (London Version) day one, I can honestly say it was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Swift is a masterclass in how to engage your audience, no matter how far away from you they are (and I was pretty far away!).

Despite getting the chance to see her live, I'm still going to watch The Eras Tour movie on Disney+. Why? I'll tell you why .

When I say I was in the nosebleeds, I mean I was almost at the back of Wembley Stadium (just four rows from the back to be precise). While this meant I did have an almost perfect view of the entire walkway, there were just a couple of problems…

An image from The Eras Tour, London night 1. The stadium is fill and Taylor Swift is disaplyed on a large screen behind a walkway. The view is slightly obstructed by a speaker

These speakers. These speakers that shot flames into the sky during one of the Eras (not saying which one, but you might be able to guess!), these speakers that made sure everyone could hear Taylor clearly. I recognize the importance of the speakers. However, they dared to block my line of sight – look what you made me view!

A friend who went on the second night of The Eras Tour in London was standing, and when Taylor and her band of dancers came to the end of the walkway, she had an incredible view. But, when they weren't there, she couldn't see them at all.

The benefit of a professionally recorded concert is that you'll get to see the Eras Tour from angles you (most likely) couldn't physically see Taylor Swift at. Plus you'll have a perfect, unobstructed view of every glittering number.

Now while I was blessed with two gorgeous acoustic mashups of Hits Different/Death By A Thousand Cuts and Black Dog/Come Back, Be Here/Maroon, these songs change every night of The Eras Tour.

When I found out that the surprise songs for The Eras Tour movie were Our Song ("Taylor Swift")  and You're On Your Own, Kid ("Midnights"), I knew I had to watch. Our Song came out when I was a teenager and I've got many wonderful memories of singing along to it in various bedrooms, kitchens, and cars through the years, and You're On Your Own, Kid is one of my favorite songs from Midnights.

No matter which Eras Tour concert you've been to, it's likely you won't have heard these songs either, which is another great reason to watch Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version).

Don't get me wrong, I adore The Tortured Poets Department. I think it's one of Taylor Swift's best albums in recent years, and I've been listening to it pretty much on repeat since it was released. It was absolutely incredible to see some of my favorite songs from the album live.

With this being said, Taylor Swift did remove some of my other favorite songs to make way for The Tortured Poets Department, including The 1 ("Folklore"), The Last Great American Dynasty ("Folklore"), and Tolerate It ("Evermore").

Thankfully, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) was filmed in March 2023, pre-the release of The Tortured Poets Department, meaning there's a whole lot more Folklore and Evermore on the setlist – which is great for me and other Swifties who, like me, love these two storytelling albums.

By watching Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version), you'll get the best of both worlds, getting to see Taylor perform both the previous and current setlists.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) is currently available on Disney+. If you're in the UK, US, or Australia, we have a handy guide on how to watch Taylor Swift's Eras tour .

However, it's important to note that Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) has not been released in all territories, and Disney+ is also not available in all countries.

If you live somewhere where either is unavailable, fear not - there is a solution. You can use a VPN to spoof your location to somewhere where they are available, and stream the concert this way.

You can check out our guide to streaming using a VPN , and below you can find our top recommendations for VPNs:

2. ExpressVPN: best VPN for beginners While ExpressVPN is more expensive at $6.67 a month, it's perfect for those who are new to VPNs. It's got simple, streamlined apps, functions really well on mobile, and offers excellent privacy. 3. Surfshark: the best cheap VPN on the market If your budget-conscious, Surfshark is the VPN for you. While it is the cheapest VPN of our recommendations, it does not scrimp on performance. It's the fastest VPN we tested and is excellent for streaming. In terms of privacy, its credentials are on par with ExpressVPN and NordVPN. It's currently only $2.19 per month , with three months free – bargain!

If you want to get the ultimate Eras Tour experience, I would recommend pairing Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor's Version) with Paramore: The Final Riot - a documentary about the band currently touring with and supporting Swift on The Eras Tour.
