Wow!! Absolutely incredible tour flights! I cannot say enough good things about this company! The views over Miami are beautiful. I went during sunset and I highly recommend it! The booking was super easy and the pilot was very professional and nice.

I highly recommend wings over Miami ! They did such a great job making me feel special on my birthday and gave me an amazing tour of the city ! They went above and beyond to make sure I had a blast ! I would definitely reccommend using this company to anyone new in town that wants to see Miami !

Amazing company to go through when booking your first private flight! It was relaxing to experience a smooth flight. The pilot was funny, knowledgeable, and kept our minds at ease the entire time. Wings Over Miami

The Wings over Miami museum pays homage to the veteran aviators who were pioneers in civil and military aviation.

Found to the southeast of Miami, at the Kendall Tamiami airport, this aviation museum was founded in 1986 by the champion acrobatic pilot Kermit Weeks . Today it has exhibitions of classic and military planes, including Yakovlev Yak, Invader or some of the Warbirds from the Second World War.

Among the modern jewels on display in the museum is our absolute favourite, the Grumman F-14 Tomcat.

Not a Highlight

The Wings Over Miami museum has about 20 planes, and its main section is a hanger with the planes a little bit crammed together . This, along with its distance from the centre and the price, means it's perhaps ta best option for those with a lot of time to spare in Miami.

If you've already been to some of the other aviation museums around, such as Madrid's Museo del Aire or the  Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York , this one pales in comparison.

Located at Miami Executive Airport, the museum is open to the public and ready for action.

If you're looking for activities that don't break the bank, this might be a good choice – especially if you have flying fanatics in the family!

Tickets cost $10 for general admission, $7 for seniors older than 60, and $6 for children age 12 and younger. Group rates and annual memberships also are available. 

Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays, but there's a 4:30 p.m. ticket cut-off time.

Tour the museum's growing collection, which includes vintage planes, military trainers, and jet aircraft from the Cold War era. There are flyable aircraft as well as static displays.

In 2020, the museum acquired a Soviet-era supersonic MIG-21 fighter, which arrived disassembled from Lakeland, Fla., according to its official website . The museum plans to reassemble the plane publicly, then display it, and is seeking donations for packing, shipping and reassembly costs. Wings Over Miami Air Museum

A museum dedicated to the golden age of flight.

The Wings Over Miami Air Museum, located at the Miami Executive Airport, offers patrons a view into the Golden Age of Flight and a look at aviation pioneers. The museum has an assortment of both military and civilian classic aircraft on display, as well as information about the pilots who flew them.

The museum is a great way to spend a few hours for any airplane enthusiast. Though patrons are not permitted to climb around the planes, they are allowed to study them from all angles. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to share information about the collection.

Highlights of Wings Over Miami Air Museum

The Wings Over Miami Air Museum was started to fill the void left when the Weeks Air Museum was moved after the exhibits sustained significant damage during Hurricane Andrew in 1992. In 2001, 4 local aviation enthusiasts came together and decided to use the space for a new museum.

The new museum’s creators agreed that the museum would amass a collection of airworthy aircraft that could be regularly flown. The founders also worked hard to collect a large range of planes from throughout the history of aviation from vintage civilian aircraft to military planes.

Good to know about Wings Over Miami Air Museum

The Wings Over Miami Air Museum has 3 sections of exhibits. The first section hosts historic items from aviation history, as well as an extensive collection of model aircraft. The second section is devoted to aviation in the military.

The third section of the museum is a hangar where patrons can see up close a variety of vintage aircraft ranging up through the Cold War era. Some planes of note include an F-14 Tomcat, a Soviet-era Yak, and a British Hawk Hunter. If you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of aircraft that are in the process of being restored.

U.S. Soccer star uses CONCACAF Champions Cup as revenge tour

Brandon Vazquez is one of U.S. Soccer's brightest young talents, but the forward's professional journey has been filled with frustration. 

After an eye-catching youth career split between Chula Vista and Tijuana, Vazquez got his big break when coach Tata Martino signed him to Atlanta United of Major League Soccer for the club's debut season. From there, though, Vazquez found himself on the outside — shunned by Martino and struggling for playing time during the most important phase of his career.

"I didn't really have a great relationship with him," Vazquez told ESPN about Martino last summer.

Vazquez left MLS for Monterrey in Mexico over the winter, and he set his sights on North America's biggest prize: the CONCACAF Champions Cup. 

Fate threw some familiar foes in his path. First came FC Cincinnati, the team he left in the winter; Vazquez scored in both legs to eliminate his old club from the Round of 16.

From there, the true test awaited: Tata Martino, now in charge of Major League Soccer's star-studded Inter Miami.

For Monterrey, beating Inter Miami would mean everything. It would underline Liga MX's dominance over MLS and prove that even Inter Miami's Lionel Messi, the greatest player in the world, couldn't compete with it. 

For Vazquez, beating Inter Miami meant revenge — over the coach and league that wasted his talent.

Monterrey won the first leg 2-1 in the United States thanks to goals from Maximiliano Meza and Jorge Rodriguez. But Messi missed that opening match, and with the Argentine set to return for the second leg in Mexico, the tie remained balanced on a knife's edge.

It was Vazquez, of course, who settled it. When Miami goalkeeper Drake Callender made an error inside his penalty box, Vazquez was their to seize the opportunity and fire the ball into the back of the net. His goal set the aggregate score at 3-1 and pushed the game beyond Miami's reach.

When Vazquez scored against Cincinnati in the Round of 16, he refused to celebrate out of respect for his former club. He had no such compulsions against Miami. Vazquez leapt in the air in front of the home fans and pumped his fists, clearly thrilled to have delivered a knockout blow to Martino's men.

Vazquez was reflective in the press box once the game ended with a Monterrey win. "It is another step on the path that we deserve to be on," he told the press in Spanish.

He was talking about Monterrey, of course. But after years of stops, starts and frustrations getting his MLS career off the ground under Martino's care, you'd be forgiven for thinking he was talking about himself, too.

Vazquez and Monterrey will continue their Champions Cup journey against the Columbus Crew on April 23.

Remember how great the weather was last weekend? Well, according to my sources among the meteorologists at Univision, this weekend is shaping up to be even better. There are plenty of ways to enjoy it, from the sprawling Delray Affair and Dania After Dark’s Blues & BBQ Festival to the West Palm Beach Green Market (season’s about to end!) and the debut of a new rooftop cocktail bar on Fort Lauderdale beach called Nubé. Oh, and it’s opening weekend for “Hamilton” at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. Let’s go …

Another shot: The nationally touring production of the musical “ Hamilton ” at the Kravis Center through April 21 has much to recommend. The hip-hop retelling of the founding of the nation is a cultural phenomenon, of course, but it’s also extremely creative and entertaining, timely and thought-provoking, with more laughs than you might expect. This particular production — especially Blaine Alden Krauss (Alexander Hamilton), Kendyl Sayuri Yokoyama (Eliza Hamilton), Deon’te Goodman (Aaron Burr), Carvens Lissaint (George Washington) and Jared Howelton (Marquis de Lafayette, Thomas Jefferson) — is as powerful as any I’ve seen. Thursday night’s performance was frequently punctuated by prolonged applause, culminating in a standing ovation from the all-ages audience (and why did the house lights come on so quickly?). Shows this weekend are scheduled at 8 p.m. Friday, 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday, and 1:30 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets start at $49, with many levels sold out. Sound machines: “ On Your Feet! ,” the musical based on the lives of Grammy-winning pop and Latin-music icons Emilio and Gloria Estefan is at Hard Rock Live at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood for performances at 8 p.m. Friday and 1 and 8 p.m. Saturday. Affair to remember: The all-encompassing downtown Delray Beach takeover known as the Delray Affair (now in its 62nd year) will unravel over 10 blocks of Atlantic Avenue this weekend, showcasing more than 400 artists and makers, live music, the must-stop Beer & Wine Garden on Old School Square and an infectiously upbeat frame of mind. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. Among the parking options are the Old School Square Parking Garage, Delray Market Garage (both by ParkMobile app), St. Paul’s Episcopal Church ($10) and the Palm Beach County Administrative Complex (free parking, free shuttles and service to and from the Tri-Rail station). The 2023-2024 women’s college basketball tournament just ended.

But for many of the players who shined over the course of that tournament, their basketball careers are about to take the next step.

The 2024 WNBA Draft takes place later tonight, at the Brooklyn Academy of Music in Brooklyn. This will be the 29th draft in WNBA history, and perhaps one of the most anticipated. It will also be the first time since 2016 that fans will be able to attend the draft.

While there is every expectation that Caitlin Clark will be the first player taken, with the Indiana Fever holding the first-overall selection, there is no shortage of talent in this draft class.

Here is how to watch, a list of the invited players, and the full WNBA Draft order.

How to watch

ESPN will broadcast the 2024 WNBA Draft, with a half-hour preview show starting at 7:00 p.m. Eastern followed by the draft itself, which begins at 7:30 p.m. Eastern.

Those interested in streaming the WNBA Draft can do so via ESPN+.
