Jack Harlow’s love for rap began in his hometown of Louisville, KY. At 12 years old, the future artist loyally listened to old-school influences and recorded an album alongside his friend titled Rippin’ and Rappin’.

The pair sold copies to middle school classmates and kick-started Harlow’s passion to create his own music in the genre.

After experimenting with rap in various mixtapes, Harlow continued his venture throughout high school. In 2015, his debut EP The Handsome Harlow was the artist’s first taste of commercial success. Popularity in his hometown skyrocketed and allowed him to open in Louisville for highly acclaimed musician Vince Staples.

Harlow continued working hard to expand his skills – and his profile. Collaborations on his 2016 mixtape 18 proved his place among other Louisville stars like Ace Pro, Ronnie Lucciano, and 2forWoyne. As Harlow’s repertoire grew, so did his fame. He had numerous singles and mixtapes like “Routine” and “Dark Knight” under his belt. It was no surprise he landed an opening act spot on Portugal. The Man‘s 2018 tour. Soon enough, his music started to reach intrigued listeners across the country.

Later in 2018, Harlow moved to Atlanta. He found solace in hip-hop culture and secured a contract with the record label Generation Now. His mixtape Loose swiftly followed up this big-time deal. Despite his quick rise to fame, Harlow stayed true to his roots and featured Louisville natives on the highly anticipated release. Loose proved its worth and earned the up-and-coming rapper a well-deserved Best Mixtape nomination at the 2019 BET Hip-Hop Awards.

Confetti followed up Loose and included 12 tracks, including “Thru the Night,” a collaboration with Bryson Tiller. Confetti propelled Harlow’s hip-hop status to new heights and paved the way to his becoming a viral phenom.

Thanks to TikTok, Harlow’s 2020 next single “What’s Poppin” redefined the meaning of success in the modern music world. Like other artists, Harlow dealt with unpredictable circumstances as the pandemic progressed. However, he didn’t throw in the towel. More collaborations with G-Eazy, DaBaby, and Lil Wayne laid the foundation for Harlow’s stellar rap reputation.

This collection of collabs appeared on Harlow’s first full-length LP That’s What They All Say in 2020. The album was a remarkable breakthrough, further cementing the artist’s potential in the new rap generation. It sat comfortably at number five in the U.S. and became a certified streaming platform smash.

When 2022 arrived, Harlow sought to make something as game-changing as That’s What They All Say. His album Come Home the Kids Miss You was a defining effort, including must-listen features from Justin Timberlake, Drake, Pharrell Williams, and more. Harlow continues to prove himself a force in hip-hop today with additional high-profile collabs and new singles on the way. A handful of the album’s singles made their way onto the U.S. charts and kept the rapper’s popularity at an all-time high.

Harlow’s signature rap style keeps fans on their toes. Perhaps it’s all thanks to his humble beginnings as an aspiring hip-hop artist. Whether on or off the stage, Harlow shows off an undeniable charisma, and his crafty lyricism shows off his fun and relatable personality. Ultimately, Harlow always succeeds in connecting with old and new fans. His social media status and knack for going viral help him leave a memorable mark in the rap scene.

Jack Harlow Plots ‘Come Home the Kids Miss You’ North American Tour

His latest record might be called Come Home the Kids Miss You , but it’ll be a while before Jack Harlow settles down. The Kentucky rapper is plotting a 22-date North American tour in support of his sophomore studio effort, set to kick off this fall with special guests City Girls .

The Come Home the Kids Miss You tour is set to launch on Sept. 6 with an opening show in Tennessee at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. The trek will span through Oct. 16, when Harlow will conclude the stretch at Atlanta, Georgia’s State Farm Arena. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 13 at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster .

City Girls will join for the entirety of the tour, minus a stop at Boston’s MGM Music Hall at Fenway. Yung Miami, one-half of the rap duo she makes up alongside JT, recently appeared in the music video for Come Home the Kids Miss You lead single “ Nail Tech .”

In an interview with Rolling Stone , Harlow explained that each of his songs is marked as either a “sometimes” or “always” when it comes to listening mood. “Is it a song that you want to hear at any moment, in all moods,” he says. “Or is it meant for just one mood — for the club or before you work out? I have to get over my burning desire to make all of the songs on an album ‘always,’ because then it never cuts through.” He classifies “Nail Tech” as a “sometimes,” but the one place each track will be an “always” is on tour.

After the release of his latest album 'Come Home the Kids Miss You,' Jack Harlow has announced a nationwide tour with support from City Girls.

Following the release of his new album  Come Home the Kids Miss You , Jack Harlow has announced a nationwide tour with support from City Girls .

The Louisville rapper announced the tour on Monday. Set to kick off in September, the trek will see him joined by City Girls on all but one date. Pre-sale for tickets will start on Tuesday, 10 a.m. local time, followed by general on-sale on Friday.

The announcement of the Come Home the Kids Miss You Tour comes less than a week after the arrival of the album, which is set to make a big splash on the Billboard 200 albums chart according to early projections .

The record is expected to move between 110,000 to 135,000 album equivalent units in its first week. If the projections are accurate, he’ll be debuting behind Bad Bunny’s new studio album,  Un Verano Sin T i . That album was announced just days before its release, and is on track to earn 235,000 to 236,000 units in its first week—which would make it the biggest debut of the year.

In a recent interview on  The Breakfast Club , Jack Harlow revealed that he added more bars to his verse on “Churchill Downs” after he heard Drake’s contribution to the track. “I wanted to add to it,” he explained. “The moment he did it. He went stupid… I feel like that’s one of my best verses. But he went so crazy that I was like, ‘Yo I’m gonna have to add bars or everyone’s gonna say he bodied me on my shit.” 

Additional guests on  Come Home the Kids Miss You include Lil Wayne, Pharrell, and Justin Timberlake.

Jack Harlow Announces A Special Treat For His Home State With The ‘No Place Like Home: The Kentucky Tour’

Jack Harlow is a hero for homebodies everywhere. The very proud Louisville, Kentucky native announced on Thursday, August 17, that “the only tour I’m going on this year” will be the No Place Like Home: The Kentucky Tour — his third annual No Place Like Home run.

The tour will take place in six cities (all in Kentucky, obviously) this November and December. It will unofficially support Harlow’s surprise Jackman album from April, which Uproxx deemed among the best albums of 2023 so far .

Per press release, registration is open now for the presale and will run through Sunday, August 20 at 11:50 p.m. local time.

“Once registration closes, fans will be randomly selected to receive a code that grants them access to the pre-sales starting on Tuesday, August 22 and Wednesday, August 23. Additional pre-sales will run throughout the week,” it states.

Citi is the official pre-sale partner for this tour, and the pre-sale for Citi cardmembers will begin at 10 a.m. local time on Tuesday, August 22. Registration for the Citi pre-sale is available here .

The general onsale, which will only feature “a limited number of tickets,” is scheduled for Friday, August 25 at 10 a.m. local time on Ticketmaster.

Center, produced by Live Nation and Production Simple. Harlow’s long-awaited return to Louisville follows last year’s “No Place Like Home” debut, which saw the rap superstar performing five unforgettable shows at five iconic venues.  

The announcement of this year’s “No Place Like Home” show comes days after Harlow wrapped his North American ‘Come Home The Kids Miss You Tour’ on Sunday, October 16 at Atlanta, GA’s State Farm Arena. With over 200,000 tickets sold, the ‘Come Home The Kids Miss You Tour’ became the most attended tour of Harlow’s career, to date. The 26-date tour – named after and in support of his sophomore album released in May – saw Harlow selling out iconic arenas nationwide including Los Angeles’ The Forum and Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.  

Harlow – who TIME Magazine named to their TIME100 Next list of next generation leaders – was announced as both host and musical guest for the October 29 episode of Saturday Night Live, marking his hosting debut and second time as musical guest.

Red-hot rapper jack harlow heads to houston on a first-class new tour.

Red hot, rising rapper Jack Harlow is having his moment. The pride of Louisville, Kentucky was just spotted suiting up at the Kentucky Derby with his homeboy Drake (Champagne Papi was hilariously intoxicated during an interview) and at the Met Gala , and also lounging on the cover of Rolling Stone .

Perfect timing for the six-foot-three, 24-year-old to hit Houston for his highly anticipated Come Home The Kids Miss You Tour , which supports his star-studded sophomore album of the same name. Featuring collabs with Drake, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell, and Lil Wayne, the new release is a scorcher that has already landed Harlow a No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for the single “First Class.”

The three-time Grammy nominated rapper kicks off his tour in Nashville on September 6, with a Houston stop just a few days later on September 10 at 713 Music Hall. He’ll also hit Irving, Texas on September 8 and Austin on September 11.

Presale tickets for the “Come Home The Kids Miss You Tour” will be available starting at 10 am Wednesday, May 11, while general on-sale will begin at 10 am Friday, May 13. All tickets and additional tour information will be available online .

Boasting two No. 1 singles, 12 RIAA platinum certifications, and over 5 billion career streams to date, Harlow turned heads with his global hit “What’s Poppin” off his platinum debut album, That’s What They All Say in 2020. Since then, Harlow has been a pop culture fixture; he’s even set to star in the reboot of the ’90s basketball comedy, White Men Can’t Jump .

Harlow’s tour will include opening act City Girls, the Florida rap duo.

Legendary california comedy club brings laughs to houston this fall.

A legendary California-based comedy club is coming to Houston. Punch Line Comedy Club will open this September.

Located at 1204 Caroline St., Punch Line will be the fourth location of the San Francisco-based club that’s been a comedy staple since 1978. Although it’s part of the House of Blues complex, Punch Line will have a dedicated entrance to separate itself from the concert hall and restaurant. The 250-seat venue intends to book more than 350 shows per year, mixing national talent with local up-and-comers.

“When I started my comedy career in San Francisco, the Punch Line was a crucial local institution that provided a nurturing community,” Houston native and comedian Sheng Wang said in a statement. “We gathered there weekly like church for the Sunday showcases, highlighting local talents and providing a path forward for those who dreamed of being a working comic. The club was also where aspiring comics could watch and learn from the great talents coming through town every week.”

The initial lineup features Angelo Colina performing in Spanish on September 13 and 14; Mark Curry on September 20 and 21; Jay Jurden October 10-12; Jackie Fabulous October 17-19; and Mekki Leeper November 14-16. Punch Line will seek local comedians to open for national performers, according to a release. See the full lineup on ticketmaster.com .

“We’re so excited to provide a platform for Houston comedians and bring more national touring comedians to the city,” Punch Line’s head of comedy operations Amanda Kyser added. “Houstonians have such a deep appreciation for comedy that will make today’s top comics feel right at home here.”

The area around Punch Line offers a number of options for drinks before or after, including cocktail bar Reserve 101, Bayou & Bottle at the Four Seasons, and rock and roll dive bar Dirt Bar.

Damon, who plays an ex-Marine named Rory, wants to pull off a heist, but is a novice in the robbery business. Luckily, Harlow and company are experts in the field, and are willing to help the much older Rory make it happen, but that comes with a price too.

Fittingly for Damon, the movie is staged in South Boston, with Fenway Park playing host in certain scenes, and former New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski making a cameo in the film.

Directed by Doug Liman ( The Bourne Identity , Road House , Mr & Mrs. Smith ), The Instigators hits Apple TV+ on Aug. 9. In addition to Damon and Harlow, the cast includes Casey Affleck, Hong Chau, Alfred Molina, Michael Stuhlbarg, Paul Walter Hauser, Ron Perlman and more.

The new film is not Jack Harlow’s first foray into Hollywood. He made his acting debut in 2023’s White Men Can’t Jump reboot.

“It’s either just going to be there was an announcement you were in a movie and nothing else, or you get that, and it’s like, ‘Wow, and you brought it. You brought it,’” the “Lovin On Me” hitmaker told Zane Lowe after securing his first role. “So, I’m starting to look at it how I look at the music, and it’s my first one, so I care a lot about it.”

Jack Harlow Stars Alongside Matt Damon In Apple TV Series 'The Instigators': Watch Trailer

Jack Harlow is set to star alongside Matt Damon in the forthcoming Apple TV+ series The Instigators , and the first trailer for the crime comedy has officially landed.

Released on Thursday (June 13), the clip drops fans into the world of an ex-Marine named Rory (Damon) who wants to pull off a heist with Harlow, Casey Affleck and more – for a price.

The Instigators hits Apple TV+ on August 9. In addition to the aforementioned names, Alfred Molina, Paul Walter Hauser, Ron Perlman and more also appear.

The series will follow Jack Harlow’s 2023 acting debut in a reboot of White Men Can’t Jump alongside the late Lance Reddick, Teyana Taylor , Laura Harrier and Vince Staples .

Talking to Zane Lowe about acting in 2022, Harlow said, “It’s either just going to be there was an announcement you were in a movie and nothing else, or you get that, and it’s like, ‘Wow, and you brought it. You brought it. So, I’m starting to look at it how I look at the music, and it’s my first one, so I care a lot about it.”

The Louisville rapper has been on go mode since last year. In addition to the film, he also released his third album Jackman in April of last year. He followed it up with a collab with K-Pop star Jung Kook ,  an arena tour in his home state of Kentucky , and a chart-topping single with “Lovin On Me.”

The track spent weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 and even prevented both Beyoncé and Kanye West from debuting at No. 1 with their respective singles earlier this year.  Harlow narrowly beat out Bey’s surprise country single “Texas Hold ‘Em,” while Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign ‘s “Carnival” debuted at No. 3 in late February.

That same month,  he became the only rapper  other than  Drake to bag a top spot on the aforementioned list for four consecutive years. He previously secured the top spot for his feature on  Lil Nas X’s “Industry Baby”  in 2021,  “First Class” in 2022, and “Lovin On Me” in 2023.

Harlow originally unveiled the new single back in November of 2023.

The rapper acknowledged the song as the beginning of a “new era” for his career as he  wrote on Twitter : “Thank u for allowing me to reset this year. I moved back to Kentucky and gave u an album I could not have made on the road.

“Surrounded by family & childhood friends this has been one of the happiest years of my life. But now… a new era begins.”

Gazebo Festival canceled due to predicted severe weather. What we know

Gazebo Festival officials announced Sunday that the second day of the event expected to be headlined by Jack Harlow would be canceled due to ongoing weather activity impacting the area.

"The safety of our patrons, artists and staff is paramount. Due to continuing hazardous conditions throughout the early afternoon and a second wave of weather expected this evening, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the remainder of Gazebo Festival," a festival spokesperson told The Courier Journal.

Sunday ticket holders will receive a full refund. Weekend pass ticket holders will be refunded 50%. All refunds will be issued within 30 days.

What Jack Harlow is saying about the cancellation of Gazebo Festival's Day 2

In an Instagram story, Jack Harlow said, "Well. We have to cancel Day 2 of @gazebo. We are currently on a tornado watch. I know things cleared up a little bit but the bad weather has damaged the site and there are more storms on the way. This means everyone on Day 2 including myself won't be performing anymore. I'm trying to focus on the positive because all I felt was happiness yesterday. I'm grateful for our flawless first day and for the way this city came together. Thank you so much. I'm sorry."

Will Gazebo Festival ticket holders get refunds?

"In the case of an event cancellation without a rescheduled date, a full refund will be automatically issued to each patron on the credit card used to purchase," according to the official ticket purchasing website for Gazebo Festival .

Gazebo Fest is not responsible for tickets purchased through re-sale or secondary sites.

How do I get my refund for Gazebo Festival?

If you bought your tickets through the official ticketing website, Tixr, fans can expect to receive direct communication from the company regarding their refund. All refunds for tickets bought directly from Gazebo Festival through Tixr are expected to be issued within 30 days.

For fans who bought tickets secondhand or through third-party sellers, they will need to check with the seller to see what the refund policy is regarding cancellation.

How can I get my belongings from the rented lockers at Gazebo Festival?

For festivalgoers who rented lockers at Gazebo Festival and have personal belongings inside the festival grounds, they can retrieve their items from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Fairfield Inn & Suites Louisville Downtown lobby, 100 E. Jefferson St.

Lost and found items also will be available for pickup at the same location during the same time.

Will Gazebo Fest Day 2 be rescheduled?

The event will not be rescheduled, Weyler with Gazebo Festival PR confirmed to The Courier Journal.

Here's what happened earlier in the day:

2:05 p.m. : Gazebo Festival is "ON PAUSE" with further updates expected to come "soon," according to the official Gazebo Festival account on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

11:30 a.m. : Gazebo Festival will not open the gates at its anticipated 1 p.m. start time due to severe weather conditions impacting the region.

"With the utmost concern for the safety of our fans, artists and staff, with unsafe weather conditions expected, the festival will be operating on an adjusted schedule. Gates will not open at 1 p.m. as planned. Stay tuned to the official Gazebo Festival app and socials for updated information," Holly Weyler with Gazebo Festival PR said in a statement.

Gazebo Festival,  a new music festival put on by booming rap star and Louisville native Jack Harlow is a two-day event at Waterfront Park featuring popular and upcoming hip-hop and R&B acts. The first day of the festival was Saturday featuring SZA as headliner.

Sunday, Harlow is expected to be the headliner. Due to a tornado watch and severe thunderstorm warning issued for the Louisville area, the festival has been delayed.

At the writing of this article, it is not yet clear when Gazebo Festival will open and how the delay will impact the acts expected to perform today, including artists such as  Omar Apollo , PinkPantheress , or even Harlow.

In a second post to his Instagram story, Harlow said, "Yesterday was a perfect day. Thank you Louisville."

T he players were making their final preparations for the 2024 U.S. Open when Mike Whan, CEO of the USGA, informed us that those stars of golf would be competing for the biggest financial prize in major history. Given the tensions between the PGA and LIV golf, and the cash rewards being a key differential, this was welcome news for many.

What will the 2024 U.S. Open winner get?

Coming into the final day at Pinehurst, there were several players still in contention for the big prize, but one former winner of this major was suggesting that this could be his year. Bryson Dechambeau already has one U.S. title in the cabinet and arrived on Sunday with a lead. But there was a pack chasing.

Whoever ends up winning the US Open , will be awarded with the tournament’s trophy. However, the champion will receive a replica , as the original remains in the USGA Museum in New Jersey. The winner will keep the trophy as long as he’s the champion .

So to the monetary reward and this year’s U.S. Open winner will get a check for $4.3 million up significantly on last year’s $3.6 million . The overall pot is a very tasty $21.5 million.

What else does the U.S. Open winner receive?

The golfer with the best card at the end of the competition will also be rewarded with the Jack Nicklaus medal , a gold medal that has been handed to the winner since 1895 . The medal was originally nameless until 2012 , when it was finally named the Jack Nicklaus Medal to honor the 18-time major winner , one of the four players to win the US Open four times.

If that wasn’t enough, being the best at the US Open translates into getting some interesting exemptions . The winner will be able to feature in the next 10 US Open events and the next five editions of The Open, The Masters, and the PGA Championship .

He will also get a five-year exemption into The Players Championship and will secure their PGA Tour card for the same period. And will get invitations to the US Senior Open for five years as well as to the Senior Open and Senior PGA Championship.

Jack Draper has officially taken over as British No 1, but Andy Murray has tipped his compatriot for much bigger honours.

Draper's run to the Stuttgart Open final guaranteed he would move above Cameron Norrie in the ATP rankings when they were updated on Monday.

The 22-year-old toasted his milestone in style on Sunday after he defeated Matteo Berrettini in three sets to clinch a maiden ATP Tour title and close friend Murray expects more accolades to follow.

"Amazing for him to win his first tournament and for his whole team. Obviously I'm delighted for him," Murray, speaking from Queen's Club, reflected.

"You change a couple of those results and all of a sudden he's up easily in the top 20 in the world. In my eyes, he's definitely playing good enough to be right up there.

"I have had very little impact on Jack's career. His team, his coaches and everyone that works with him on a day-to-day basis are the ones that have helped him do that. Also his own hard work.

"It's always special to win your first title and everyone is different in terms of things that motivate them.

"Jack, I think, has bigger goals to aspire to than being British No 1. In my opinion, he can get right up to the top of the game, right to the top of the world rankings."

Norrie, who has lost the tag of British No 1 after a poor clay-court campaign and an early exit at Nottingham last week, was full of praise for his practice partner.

"I am excited for him. I'm good friends with him, I practice with him all the time," Norrie said.

"The last five, six years we've been pushing each other and obviously he's doing something well. He is playing great.

"Yeah, I am pumped for Jack."
