San Siro stadium Milan - Tours & Tickets

The football stadium tour of internazionale and ac milan.

San Siro stadium Milan

Book tickets for a tour of Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, better known as Milan's San Siro stadium; the football stadium of the two clubs AC Milan and Internazionale.

For the football fans: Stadio San Siro

The San Siro football stadium is located in the West of Milan in the San Siro district and has been home to both A.C. Milan and F.C. Internazionale since the mid-twentieth century. It officially bears the name Stadio Giuseppe Meazza , but you hardly ever hear this name anymore. For supporters of both clubs and the football clubs themselves, it is San Siro. It is also interesting that part of the 2026 Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympics will take place in the San Siro stadium. At the moment there are plans for a new stadium and this should be ready before the new season starts in 2022. Are you a football fan of one of the Milan clubs? Then you would like to visit before the San Siro stadium is demolished.

San Siro Stadium Tour

Tickets San Siro Stadium Tour and Museum

During a tour you will see changing rooms, football shirts of the most important football players of AC Milan and FC Internazionale and then you can also go on the field itself. After the Milan stadium tour you can then visit the small museum and not far away from this museum is Casa Milan with Mondo Milan, which is completely dedicated to AC Milan. At both locations you will find memorabilia that will make your football heart beat faster. And a tour of the football souvenir stores at one of the two locations will make your visit complete. Book your San Siro tickets online:

San Siro – not just football

However, the stadium has been the venue for multiple sports in the past. Box and rugby matches have also taken place. In addition to sports, it is also an important event location, as it can receive a larger audience. Just imagine the atmosphere during a big concert here. Many famous artists performed here during the forties, such as Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Michael Jackson, U2, Madonna and Pearl Jam. Many Italian top artists have also performed here. If you are a fan of a certain artist, consulting the event calendar may provide you with a nice extra, such as attending a concert during your visit in Milan.

How is Casa Batllo inside?

All about gaudi's casa batllo interior.

Casa Batllo (Antoni Gaudi, 1904-1906) is not just one of the architect’s masterpieces, but it’s also one of the most visited sites in Barcelona and a UNESCO site, and it has recently won the award to the best cultural site in the world, thanks to the quality of their immersive visit concept. When you go inside Casa Batllo it’s not like visiting just one more building: they’ve used the latest technologies to wow you at every step, and they have invited prestigious international artists to add up to your experience.

Gaudi Dôme, one of the reasons why it's worth going inside casa batllo

You can choose different types of tickets, including more or less spaces, depending on your interests and what's your goal for the visit. In this post we'll help you figuring out what's the best option for you when planning to visit the Casa Batllo interior, and to set the right expectations. Come with us exploring one of the finest modernist buildings in Barcelona, a unique place that teases your imagination and delights you with its gorgeous details.

What you'll see inside Casa Batllo:

If you purchased Silver or Gold tickets, your visit of Casa Batllo starts heading downstairs to the basement where you’ll enter the Gaudi Dôme. And immersive room with over 1000 screens submerging you in the natural world that shaped the mind of Antoni Gaudi during his childhood in the countryside. You’ll see animals and plants, and their counterparts in Gaudi’s architecture. The center of the room is occupied by a representation of a Gaudi child, asleep over a drawing table, and dreaming of his future works.

INCLUDED IN : Silver & Gold tickets

Entrance Hall

Inside of Casa Batllo: Living Room

The staircase reaches a landing, where opens the door to what used to be the office of Mr. Batllo. The best feature here is the fantastic fireplace shaped like a mushroom and hiding two benches inside. From there you continue to the Living Room, topped with an hypnotic spiraling ceiling, and flooded in light thanks to the ingenious window system created by Gaudi. Next, a corridor takes you to the more private area of the dwelling.

Here is where the bedrooms, the dinning room and the sawing room used to be. The original furniture has been long gone to other museums and private collections, but that allows you to appreciate better the naked Gaudi architecture. The visit of the main floor also takes you to the backyard, from where you can admire the backside of the building (not as ornate as the main façade, but nicely finished compared to the other buildings on the same block…). In one of the rooms you’ll also find a model of the building conceived to help visually impaired people to understand how Casa Batllo looks like, but it also allows you to see some of its details from closer.

INCLUDED IN : All tickets.

Blue lightwell and staircase

The batllo's modernist apartment.

Also on the third floor, if you bought the Gold ticket you’ll get exclusive access to an area that has been fully furnished with vintage furniture – some of it replicas of the furniture Gaudi designed for the Casa Batllo interior. You’ll feel transported 100 years back in history, as if you were a guest invited by the Batllo family.

INCLUDED IN : Gold tickets only.

Maid hologram inside Casa Batllo

In the early 1900's, attics weren't a fancy place. It was cold and damp, and that's where the servants worked and lived. The blue staircase ends there, where you enter a white tunnel of Gaudi's parabolic arches, lined up with doors - one for each apartment in the building. Behind the doors were the washing rooms where maids stored unused objects and made the laundry. The washing rooms smell like Marseille soap, and two holograms of a maid at work help you understand their hard work conditions.

At the other end of the building, the large room that used to be the dormitory of the mail servants has been transformed into a visual art installation by the Israeli creator Refik Anadol. From there, a spiral staircase takes you to the rooftop.

The Rooftop

Rooftops weren’t a leisure area the way the are now, either. The chimneys you see used to be smoking all day long – from the winter heating but also from the kitchen stoves that worked with coal. No wonder most rooftops were ugly! But for Gaudi they were an opportunity to freely create his fantasy worlds. From here you have great views over the Hill of Montjuic and the fancy Passeig de Gracia.

Here is where the concerts of the Magic Nights at Casa Batlló take place. If you are visiting in the evenings, you’ll have here a reserved seat to listen to live music while enjoying a glass of cava sparkling wine. Note that the Magical Nights experience is only available during certain months of the year, but it’s a very original way to visit Casa Batllo inside.

At the other end of the rooftop you’ll discover that the undulating shape of the tiled roof, that from the street looks like the spine of a dragon, is actually hiding the room where the building water tank used to be. It hasn’t been preserved, but a modern water fountain recreates a magical watery effect. From there you’ll take another stair back to the attic.

ROOFTOP INCLUDED IN : All tickets. CONCERT AND CAVA GLASS INCLUDED IN : Magic night tickets only. The assigned seats depend on the type of ticket you purchased (Gold ticket holders get the best seats, and Silver tickets get better seats than Blue tickets)

Descent back to the basement level

You’ll then proceed through another arched corridor where more washing rooms used to be (but you won’t see them – the doors are closed), and reach the new staircase that takes you back to the basement level. This space is not an original part of the Casa Batllo inside: After the last resident of the house passed away during the Covid pandemic, the space where the kitchens used to be was demolished in order to incorporate a new staircase and elevator shaft to make the circulation of the visitors smoother.

Another international artist, the Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, was invited to decorate the descent with a mesmerizing wall of metal chains. Enjoy the descent and keep going all the way down to the basement: you’ll be passing the gift shop and the street access on your way down, but you won’t be able to leave as the chains are intertwined to lead the way and avoid you missing the last part of the visit.

 INCLUDED IN : All tickets.

What's inside Casa Batllo: Gaudi Cube

At the bottom of the stairs a member of the staff will collect your audioguide and VR tablet (see below), and explain what's coming next. The Gaudi Cube is a 360º immersive visual experience created by Refik Anadol. You'll enter a white room, and when the door closes will start a video projection over walls, ceilings and floor. You'll be surrounded by images of Casa Batllo, Gaudi's sketches, portraits of Gaudi, pictures of natural elements that inspired him, math calculations and geometrical shapes, that change to the beat of a rapid music soundtrack. This installation is meant to take you into Antoni Gaudi's mind: a mind that never stopped thinking, making connections and creating.

The experience is not recommended for people with claustrophobia or certain psychological conditions that could be triggered by the light effects. When the show is over (it only lasts a few minutes), another door will automatically open. From there a modern staircase takes you to another gift shop, and from there you exit back to the street. Your visit of the Casa Batllo interior ends here.

Final tips for planning your Casa Batllo inside visit

Radioguides vs vr tablets.

Virtual Reality tablets are a visual complement to radioguides, that combine fantasy and information. When framing certain corners of the building with the tablet camera, different things will appear on the screen. Maybe it’s a turtle coming out of a skylight shaped like a turtle shell, or the arches of the maids dormitory moving as if they were breathing – a fun way to bring the building into life. But some other times it’ll be the furniture Gaudi designed for the building, or inhabitants of Casa Batllo going on their daily activities – kind of like a few seconds short documentary.

VR TABLETS ARE INCLUDED IN : Silver and Gold tickets.

Additional benefits of Golden tickets

Besides the exclusive access to the modernist vintage apartment, Gold tickets also give you fast-track access, date flexibility and free cancellation.

Casa Batllo Magical Nights

Visiting Casa Batllo at night or during daytime is exactly the same, except that at night you get to enjoy the concert at the rooftop and a drink. Other than that, you are still given the option of a Blue, Silver or Gold pass when purchasing your tickets.

A woman runs her hand along a digital art installation.

Here’s a first look inside INTER_, NYC’s newest immersive art experience

It’s an immersive experience that questions what makes up an experience in the first place.

Rossilynne Skena Culgan

The energy in INTER_ , Manhattan’s newest art experience, feels more like a meditation retreat than a typical gallery—and that’s by design.

The experiential, multi-sensory museum now open in Soho invites visitors into a heightened state of contemplative awareness through a sound bath, light installations and aspects of meditation all combined with interactive digital art. INTER_ opened in a beta version in November 2022 and refined the experience up until its official opening on May 19, 2023.

RECOMMENDED: 15 NYC art exhibitions we’re most excited about this fall

After a orientation where you can can share something you want to let go of, visitors head up a trippy illuminated escalator. They'll hand out 3D glasses, which makes the lighting look even wilder.

Next, inside a massive dome dubbed INTER_sensory, abstract digital art fills the walls with images evoking natural phenomena like earth, fire and water. A stirring ambient soundtrack pairs with 360-degree projections that respond to visitors’ movements. At one point, bubbles even cascade down from the ceiling. Audio cues offer a reminder to stay present: "Leave your worries behind," a voice recites. "Remember to look around and appreciate the small details of the world," the voice encourages. Similar to a meditative experience, the audio track also encourages visitors to stay curious, be aware and let the sights come and go.

A floral archway.

With the awakened state achieved inside the dome, you'll next head through a floral tunnel an into a space with several interactive display screens. At one titled Influence, for example, a sign reads "you have agency over your own reality." You can then press a button and see your shape shift on the screen.

Also don't miss the infinity room and a water installation controlled by turning crystal balls where you're encouraged to set an intention and use the powerful vibrations there to help manifest it.

A water installation in INTER with red and purple lighting.

Other activities include a cavernous volcano-esque basement, a place to reflect on what you're grateful for, a gong room where music plays while the floor vibrates and finally a bright white gallery space exploring the collective memory of the experience. There's also a photobooth, so you can snap a few pictures to take the memories with you.

The little details throughout the space make the experience truly shine. For example, the digital artwork is generative, meaning you’ll never see the same visuals twice, the INTER_ team explained.

A digital display that looks like blue crystals.

Stepping inside INTER_ from the busy intersection of Broadway and Canal feels like entering another world, one that’s quieter, gentler and indeed joyful.

INTER_ is now open at 415 Broadway . Tickets—which start at $36 for adults and $27 for kids 12 and under— can be purchased here . (Time Out readers get a discount with code TIMEOUT15.)

Customer

Lena, our guide in Moscow was excellent. She was very knowledgable and could answer any question we had for her. We liked that she could pick up on our interests and take us places we might not have thought of to go. When we realized that one of the places we had chosen to see would probably not be that interesting to us, she was able to arrange entry to the Diamond Fund and the Armoury for us. Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. We would both have no hesistation to recommend ExpresstoRussia to anyone we know.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. Meanwhile, I will refer you to other potential visitors to Russia as I meet them.

Moscow, a City Like No Other

Moscow is Russia’s largest city with a population of between 12 and 13 million. It is also Europe’s largest city and when you visit Moscow, you can feel it. The layout and architecture of the city is eclectic, ranging from crooked, ancient streets and alleyways to wide, bustling boulevards, from medieval churches to Stalin skyscrapers and to modern, glass buildings towering over everything and of course in the center of it all is the Kremlin and the magnificent Red Square. Moscow is also home to a fantastic, efficient and very beautiful metro system – each station having its own special design. In fact, Express to Russia’s Moscow metro tours and excursions are some of our most popular attractions that we offer. On our Moscow tours, you will see this and more.

Moscow Tours centering on Russian History

Moscow has a long and interesting history and has been the capital of Russia in many of its different iterations – capital of the Grand Duchy of Moscow , the Russian Empire and of course the Soviet Union (who could ever forget the Soviet Union?). Moscow, was founded in the 12th century by Prince Yuri Dolgaruki (Yuri of the long arms – he really did have long arms!). From that time on, it was home to the Russian Tsars until Peter the Great moved the capital to St. Petersburg in 1703. The city has survived invasions and sieges from the Mongols, the Tartars, the Poles, Lithuanians and Napoleon but has always persevered. Our Moscow tours will enlighten you on this great history and give you insights into Muscovites and their unique culture. Our Moscow tours show you what the city is like today but also brings to life the past. Moscow never seems to sleep and is bursting with energy. A Moscow tour with Express to Russia is truly the best way of getting to know Russia’s largest and most vibrant city.

Frequently Asked Questions From Our Travelers

What is the best time to visit moscow.

Any time of year is fine depending on what you plan to do. Summertime is pleasantly warm, ideal for exploring the city and its vibrant atmosphere, but Moscow will be much busier and accommodation is more expensive. Winter can be quite cold but beautiful nonetheless, and this is unproblematic if you intend to spend most of your trip in museums and galleries. There are also various festivals and events organised throughout the year. For more information about the best time to visit, read our guide

How many days are enough in Moscow?

If you plan your itinerary strategically and aren’t averse to a packed schedule, you can cover Moscow’s main sights over a long weekend. Most popular attractions are in the city centre, and the Moscow Metro allows you to cover much ground in a small amount of time. Ensure that your accommodation is fairly central and book tickets in advance, so that you can make the most of your days. For an informative and well-organised day out, check out our Moscow day tours with options to suit all interests.

Do they speak English in Moscow?

As Russia’s capital city, tourists are well accommodated in Moscow. There should be English-speaking staff in restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and attractions in tourist hotspots, and there are also English-speaking tourist police. Transport services have English translations on their maps and English announcements via intercom; alternatively, order taxis from the Yandex Taxi app (Russian Uber), though it’s unlikely that your taxi driver will speak English. If you get stuck and cannot communicate, it’s fine to use Google Translate.

Is it safe to travel to Moscow?

It is no less safe to travel to Moscow than to any European city if you exercise common sense and look after your belongings. As with every city some regions can be more unsavoury than others, but no tourist attractions are located there. The traffic in Moscow is notorious, so exercise caution when crossing roads. Do not take unlicensed taxis; book in advance or take public transport, which is widespread and perfectly safe. If you encounter any problems, look for the special tourist police who can help you. Inter Miami preseason tour: 5 questions Messi, Suárez & more must answer

24MLS_MIA_5_Big_Questions

Inter Miami CF ’s preseason tour – a Jules Verne-esque trip Around the World in (less than) Eighty Days that hits El Salvador, Texas, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Japan and, eventually, Miami – is well underway.

As Tata Martino's squad globe-trots, some key questions need to be answered before their Feb. 21 regular-season opener vs. Real Salt Lake (8 pm ET | MLS Season Pass ).

Expectations are sky-high entering 2024, arguably more than any team in MLS history.

I mean, we know it’s going to involve a lot of quick combination play between Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez , and occasionally the other two members of The Big Four.

We all got a taste of that last week in Miami’s matchup with El Salvador’s national team :

Alba to Suarez to Busquets to Messi to Busquets to Messi. They're just getting warmed up. 👀 📺 https://t.co/weT5JfeSqf pic.twitter.com/p6wv1zSJ5b — Major League Soccer (@MLS) January 20, 2024

But what about the other puzzle pieces?

As preseason continues, Martino will pay special attention to how the rest of his attack functions around those superstars. Free-agent signing Julian Gressel will undoubtedly be a key part; if the US international learns to read the movement of Suárez and Messi when they're in the box, Inter Miami will be way harder to stop. Last year, Miami became too one-dimensional in the final third, funneling anything and everything through Messi. This year, he’ll have help in the attack.

Now, there will be questions about Miami’s best shape: Martino preferred a 4-3-3 last year, with a bit of 3-5-2 thrown in along the way. That tendency may flip this year, with Miami having spent more time training the 3-5-2 in preseason.

Regardless of what formation prevails, Inter Miami’s ability to create chances in both shapes while applying solid rest defense principles will be key as they tackle various competitions in 2024.

In a brutal turn of events, 21-year-old Argentine attacker Facundo Farias went down with a long-term knee injury during Miami’s first preseason game.

There’s no way to spin this into a positive: it sucks. You can’t help but feel for Farías, whose face held real concern from the moment he went down at the Estadio Cuscatlán. Injuries are so often the worst part of sports, and that’s very much the case with Farias, who is now dealing with the second ACL injury of his young career.

While they facilitate the Argentine's recovery process, Miami have to determine what to do without Farías. Do they try to squeeze enough minutes out of depth pieces in other parts of the squad to cover for his absence? Or do they put Farías on the Season-Ending Injury List to free up his U22 Initiative spot and sign a replacement, provided the new player keeps them within the salary cap?

Given Miami’s willingness to spend, I’d be shocked if they don’t land on that second option. Though it could create a pile-up of U22s for 2025, signing another attacker who can play 2,500 minutes across all competitions will be key as Martino looks to rotate his squad. Everyone in Miami will want that player signed and integrated as soon as possible.

In a fun, potentially Wilfried Nancy-inspired twist, Miami ran out DeAndre Yedlin as a right-sided center back in a 3-5-2 to kick off their preseason slate against El Salvador. Yedlin, a veteran right back, didn’t shine in that role… but he didn’t crumble, either. Does the 30-year-old US international have a future there? Yedlin’s presence as a right-sided center back clears space for Gressel to hold the width as a wingback on that same side.

As preseason continues, Miami will get a better read on whether Yedlin is a legitimate option at center back. If he is, an already tactically flexible team gets even more flexible. But it’s also worth noting how Yedlin shifted back to his more typical outside back role for Miami’s matchup with FC Dallas .

Miami’s backline has also been bolstered by the addition of Nicolás Freire , a 29-year-old center back from Liga MX side Pumas UNAM. Freire, 19-year-old Tomás Avilés and veteran Sergii Kryvtsov , along with Noah Allen , Yedlin and a couple of deeper depth options, make up a strong center back group. How those players mesh and learn to complement each other will be one of the defining themes of Miami’s preseason.

Sergio Busquets runs the show. He ran it for FC Barcelona. He ran it for Spain. Now he’s running it in Miami.

To maximize Busquets’ touches and impact in 2024, Miami’s other central midfielders have to be active in every phase of the game. They have to engage the ball quickly after Miami lose it. They have to press to create turnovers that end up at Busquets’ feet. They have to move well off the ball to create passing lanes, or even tiny slivers of green grass, for Busquets to find.

Gregore , formerly Miami’s midfield stalwart who recovered from a foot injury late in 2023, will be responsible for doing all of those things. He’s likely to be the veteran No. 8 while one of Benjamin Cremaschi and Diego Gómez compete for the other No. 8 spot, with Jean Mota fighting for minutes, too. The catch? Gregore has hardly played as a dual No. 8 in front of a single pivot in his MLS career. Instead, he’s mostly played as half of a double pivot behind a No. 10.

In preseason, we’re going to get closer to finding out how Gregore fits in Miami’s midfield group. We’ll see how aggressive he is next to Busquets, and how those two work together to help control games. If they can find the right balance, it’s easy to imagine Miami causing big problems for opposing teams, even when those teams sell out to stop Busquets.

From the minute Messi, Busquets and Jordi Alba set foot on the field for Inter Miami last season, the team’s defensive approach became clear. Messi and his No. 9 would form a sort of front two, while the other eight outfield players built two banks of protection behind them. At times, Miami would press. But their typical approach when playing against the ball involved a lot of defending in a mid-block 4-4-2 or 5-3-2.

With Suárez’s arrival reinforcing the need for a compact approach behind the front line, we can expect those same principles this year.

But with Miami tape now floating around the soccer world, how will they react to teams drawing up savvy game plans to break through their block?

Nailing their team-wide defensive rotations will be essential during a long season filled with opponents who have the Herons' name circled on their respective schedules. For individuals, especially Miami’s right-sided players who are tasked with covering some of Messi’s ground, preseason is the time to show complete defensive dedication.

If there’s going to be a crack in Inter Miami’s 2024 season, it’s likely to be in their defensive system or execution. Preseason, then, is a great time to start working out the kinks.

The sprawling, mind-boggling metropolis of Russian Moscow has long been one of the theatrical stages on which the great dramas of Europe and Asia have been played out in grand style. Burned by Napoleon in 1812, immortalised by Tolstoy, utilised by the Bolsheviks and championed as a bastion of heroic defiance by the post-war communists, it’s almost hard to believe just how defining the historical events that found their home on Moscow’s streets have been. Moscow tour guides will easily be able to mark the major must-see landmarks on the map, from the onion-domed orthodox Saint Basil's Cathedral, to the political powerhouse of Red Square just next door, while others will be quick to recommend a ride on Moscow’s famous subterranean metro system, or a visit to the UNESCO-attested Novodevichy Convent on the city’s southern side. But Moscow is a city also in the throes of a cultural wrangling between the old and the new. Creative energies abound here: Boho bars and pumping super clubs now occupy the iconic mega structures of the old USSR; high-fashion outlets, trendy shopping malls and luxurious residential districts stand as testimony to a city that’s now the undisputed playground of the world’s super-rich, while sprawling modern art museums dominate the cultural offering of the downtown districts north of the Moskva River.

TOKYO — It's all been very messy.

We're talking about Lionel Messi and Inter Miami's global tour of exhibition games where the main show has been Argentina's 2022 World Cup-winning captain.

The matches are about promotion and marketing, hoping to build a new brand by using stars like Messi and Uruguayan Luis Suarez. Instead, the tour is getting mostly bad PR, and results that have not been much better in matches that have stretched from El Salvador, through Dallas, into Saudi Arabia, and then Hong Kong on Sunday.

The next stop is Tokyo's National Stadium on Wednesday against Vissel Kobe, and a wrap-up match on Feb. 16 in Florida against Newell’s Old Boys — Messi’s boyhood club in Argentina, and the club that might be his final destination before retiring.

Through five games, Inter Miami has been outscored 12-7 and won only once. And that was Sunday in Hong Kong, where a 4-1 victory over the local team was overshadowed by angry fans holding up signs demanding a refund and booing since neither Messi nor Suarez played — both out injured and aging.

Messi is 36 and Suarez is 37, and both are more and more subject to nagging injuries.

“The marketing hype in promoting the event to global fans creates high expectations, coupled with government subsidy of the event,” John Grady, a sports law professor at the University of South Carolina, told The Associated Press. "This also raises the expectations that marquee players will appear as advertised.”

Even though fans know the games are for practice, and meaningless in the standings, they still choose to pay high prices and attend. As the phrase goes in Latin — caveat emptor, or “let the buyer beware.”

“As more football teams recruit elite talent with large followings, including on social media, it creates a situation where non-appearance causes fan outrage and results in a public relations headaches," Grady added.

Inter Miami coach Gerardo Martino apologized for Messi's absence after Sunday's Hong Kong match. Fans who saw practice on Saturday at least saw the Argentina captain in a kick-around, with Miami co-owner David Beckham also on the field.

“We understand the disappointment of the fans for the absence of Leo (Messi) and Luis Suarez,” Martino said. “We understand a lot of fans are very disappointed and we ask for their forgiveness. We wish we could have sent Leo and Luis on for at least a while but the risk was too big.”

Messi came on for the last seven minutes in the 6-0 loss at Al-Nassr — one of the two matches in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — as Inter Miami prepares for its MLS season opener on Feb. 22.

It's anyone's guess if Messi will play on Wednesday in Japan, and if so, how much. Martino will certainly be under pressure to use him some, but Messi is sure to have the final say.

Inter Miami is to practice on Tuesday on the outskirts of Tokyo with snow in the forecast. Wednesday calls for sunny skies but temperatures at game time around freezing.
