6. Arikamedu : If you get bored of the beaches and the architecture then you can take a 30-min drive to the archaeological site of Arikamedu. From 1947-1950 several archaeological excavations were undertaken by Sir Mortimer Wheeler and Jean-Marie Casal. Wide-ranging evidence about Indo-Roman ties was unearthed.

Occupied by the Cholas, French, and the Romans, this port town had been a maritime center from 1st Century BC to 2nd Century AD. The featured discoveries are Indo-Pacific beads, megalithic stones or red and black ceramics, and amphorae of Roman schools. Its glass bead factory is noted as the mother of all bead centers in the world.

7. Veerampattinam Beach : Lying between Pondicherry and Cuddalore, it is one of the biggest coastal villages. It had been the port of trade with the Chinese, the Romans, the Greeks, and the Arabs. Its verdant coastline is its specialty. It is a less crowded beach which can be visited any time of the year. You can visit it during the Temple Car Festival when it gets illuminated and presents amazing vibes. You can witness fishing activities, play beach games, eat from the local cafés and cherish the tranquillity of this beach.

8. French War Memorial : Situated on Goubert Avenue, it is dedicated to the French-Indian soldiers who died during the First World War. Set up in 1937 and reconstructed in 1970, it is a stylish structure offering a pleasant experience to all tourists.

The bronze plaque enlists the names of soldiers who lost their lives in World War I, World War II, the French War in Indo-China, and the Algerian War. On Bastille Day (14th July), it is decorated and illuminated for the annual commemoration ceremony. 9. Immaculate Conception Cathedral : Also called the Samba Kovil, it is the cathedral mother church for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Pondicherry and Cuddalore. Dedicated to Saint Peters, it was founded in 1686. White and blue colors alternating with golden accents are an incredible sight. Moreover, the mix of French, Herrian, and Portuguese architectural styles makes it worth visiting. You can sit on the wooden benches and pray. In its 350 years, it has been thrice razed. Travel from chennai to pondicherry, 1 mahatma gandhi statue.

At a distance of 2.5 km from Pondicherry Bus Station, The Statue of Mahatma Gandhi is located on the beach front of Pondicherry. Built by the famous sculptor Roy Choudhary from Madras School of Art and Crafts, it is one of the major landmarks in Pondicherry. It is surrounded by eight exquisitely carved monolithic granite pillars which were brought from Gingee Fort. The statue stands 4 m (13 feet) high is the 3rd biggest Mahatma Gandhi statue. It was inaugurated on January 26, 1965. The square in front of the statue referred to as Gandhi Thidal, plays host to various cultural and musical activities through the year. There is a tunnel below the Gandhi statue which is believed to be leading to Gingee Fort. There were some efforts to explore the tunnel. But, after a few people died of suffocation, the tunnel was closed.

2 Pondicherry Beach / Promenade Beach

At a distance of 3.5 km from Pondicherry Bus Station, Promenade Beach is one of the popular beaches in Pondicherry along the Bay of Bengal. It is a 1.5 km long stretch between War Memorial and Dupleix Park. This is one of the top places to visit in Pondicherry . This beach is called by multiple names like rock beach due to rocks along the beach, Gandhi beach because of statue of Mahatma Gandhi and also as Promenade beach. Popularly this beach is also called Pondicherry beach because of its close proximity to the city. It's a long stretch of rocky beach with benches and wide pavement for morning and evening walks. It is adjacent to Goubert Avenue, the historical section of the city which has several beautiful colonial buildings. At a distance of 3 km from Pondicherry Bus Station, The Manakula Vinayagar Temple is one of the famous ancient temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha and is a popular pilgrimage site in Puducherry. Manakula Vinayagar Temple was in existence before the French came and settled in Pondicherry and the idol of Lord Ganesha is locally known as Vellakkaran Pillai. The French Jesuits and missionaries tried to demolish the temple several times, but every time local population saved the temple. Facing the east near Bay of Bengal, the temple was known as Bhavaneshar Ganapathy, now called as Manakula Vinayagar. In Tamil Manal means sand and Kulam means pond near the sea. The temple is spread over an area of about 8000 sq. ft with outer mandapam, raja gopuram and outer enclosure. • 14.Pets and Animals not allowed inside the bus while on Journey.
• 15.The management has all the right to make the passengers to get down from the bus, who are travelling on invalid tickets, disturbing the co-passengers & drunken passengers, without any refund.
• 16.No postponement of journey will be made within 24 hours. There is no refund on cancellation of one time Preponed/Postponed ticket.
• 17.Tariff is subject to change without notice.
• 18.Accommodation is subject to availability of the rooms and they are subject to change without prior notice.
• 19.Senior Citizens are provided with 20% discount on transportation by default while booking ticket. Hence they must produce valid proof.
• 20.The management shall not be liable for third party suppliers including arrangements with accommodation providers, activity providers and local guides and other independent parties (Third party suppliers) to provide you with some or all the components of your bookings.
• 21.The management shall not be liable and will not assume responsibility for any claims, losses, damages, costs or expenses arising out of inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, upset, disappointed, distress or frustration, whether physical or mental, resulting from the act or omission of any party other than Tour Operator and its employees.

• Piligrims are mandatory to produce either the vaccination certificate(2doses) or Covid-19 negative certificate obtained with in 73hrs prior to date of darshan at the time of availing special entry darshan.
• Piligrims to be noted that due to the new guidelines imposed from Tirupathi Tirumala Darshana there will be no cancellations or any modifications allowed before 7 days of departure.
• Piligrims to be noted that the data of the tickets booked for Tirupathi darshana is pushed to Tirumala Tirupathi Devastham(TTD) server 7 days in advance before the date of journey, there will be no any modifcations/ cancellations allowed for any unforeseen circumstances (like sudden death of family member, any accidentalissues , etc..)
