The Kappa Homes Tour has been a holiday tradition for more than 70 years! Started in 1951, the Tour has raised more than $2 million for local charitable organizations and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation. We’ve survived changing times, economic crises, and a global pandemic. Thank you for your continued support.

We work diligently to manage costs and streamline expenses while delivering an exceptional Tour experience each year. It is an expensive and time intensive endeavor, requiring hundreds of hours of volunteer time by Kappa alumnae and friends. Donations raised ahead of the Tour offset operating costs, allowing more revenue to go directly to our beneficiaries.

If this is your first time on the Tour, pick a home as your starting place or the Holiday Boutique. Once you arrive, you will get a Tour Guide with a map and other helpful information about the homes and the beneficiaries. Enjoy your Tour!

2023 Beneficiaries

Our beneficiaries, Hope House , Sheffield Place , and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation , rely on funds from organizations like the Kappa Holiday Homes Tour to maintain day-to-day operations and fund special programs. Through ticket sales, Holiday Boutique purchases, and Owl Friend donations, we aid their missions to support our local communities.

In 2023, Hope House celebrates its 40th anniversary since opening in 1983.

Hope House's mission is to break the cycle of domestic violence by providing safe refuge and supportive services that educate and empower those impacted by domestic violence.

Hope House will advocate social change that protects and engenders a person's right to live a life free of abuse.

Sheffield Place opened its doors in February 1991 as a community response to the growing population of homeless mothers and their children in the Kansas City area.

What makes Sheffield Place unique among homeless serving organizations is the commitment to serving families with multiple barriers to success.

Sheffield Place has assisted more than 1600 families in making the difficult journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency.

The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation provides educational scholarships for undergraduate and graduate women, equipping women with resources to spark change and uphold shared values.

The purpose of the Kappa Holiday Homes Tour is to provide support to charitable organizations. Each year organizations who provide aid for the betterment of the overall welfare of the Kansas City community are nominated by Kappa Kappa Gamma alumnae for evaluation. One or more are chosen as recipients of Kappa Holiday Homes Tour proceeds. The 2023 beneficiaries chosen from the Kansas City community are Hope House and Sheffield Place .

Self Guided Holiday Hom e Tour

Tickets: $30 Check-in reception at the Beach Art Center between 12:30pm- 3:00pm where you will pick up your tour book including a map of the area and a description of each home. You are then invited to head off on your own to explore our beautifully decorated homes at your own pace!

VIP Experience Holiday Home Tour

Tickets: $100 This is an experience tailor-made for those who appreciate a little luxury, where comfort and holiday spirit come together in perfect harmony.

You will have a separate expedited check-in where you will be greeted with a warm mug of Hot Cocoa and the delightful sound of seasonal melodies, setting the mood for an extraordinary afternoon ahead. Must check in between 12:30 - 1:00 PM at the Beach Art Center.

You will then board our VIP holiday-themed trolley, a masterpiece of festive décor and elegance. Decked out with onboard refreshments, and an array of holiday decorations, you will visit the homes in style. During the excursion, we will stop at the Church of Isles for a late lunch catered by one of IRB’s great restaurants.

Our VIP Holiday Home Tour Experience is not just a tour; it's an immersion into the magic of the season, a chance to relish the holidays in comfort and style. Prepare to be enchanted, delighted, and utterly captivated by this unforgettable holiday experience.

A Holiday Homes Tour You Won’t Want To Miss!

One of our favorite holiday traditions is back this weekend! The Holiday Homes Tour! Like all other years, we are so excited to be featuring five beautifully decorated local homes. This is the perfect event to get into the Christmas spirit! You can purchase tickets to the event for $15 until Friday at 4:00 PM. If you miss you chance, you will also be able to purchase the day of the event for $20. Get your tickets here . We promise, it’s worth every penny! Holiday Home #1 – The Loft At Solana

Savanna, the owner of Solana On Broadway has been featured in the Holiday Homes Tours twice before this year, both at her home, so she is looking forward to showcasing her new business and overnight accommodation this year. To top it off, her husband, Bob, always lights up the outside of the house and you never know what color combinations or designs you’re going to get!

This is Kenny & Ember’s first year being a part of the Holiday Homes Tour! Ember’s holiday decorating style is a mix between traditional and modern farmhouse, but if you ask Kenny, he calls it Boho with a side of sass. She goes for comfort, relaxation, and warmth, which is perfect with 4 kids between the ages of 2 and 12! The ELF is always pretty fun at the Manley house! Boscobel will be closed December 22, 23 and 24 for the holiday season. We wish you a happy and healthy holiday season.

Explore the beauty and historical significance of Boscobel’s Historic House Museum, with an expert guide.

Boscobel’s interiors display a celebrated collection of New York furniture from the Federal period, including rare documented examples by America’s most celebrated cabinetmaker, Duncan Phyfe. Polished mahogany, gilt bronze, and cut glass sparkle with always-changing natural light. Pastoral landscapes appear on paintings, prints, ceramics, and even furniture.

Through January 7, the house and grounds will be decorated for 19th-century holidays, with guides highlighting holiday traditions from centuries past.

All house tour tickets include admission to 68 acres of our grounds, including lush gardens and a woodland trail. Overlooking Constitution Marsh toward the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, Boscobel’s landscape showcases dramatic views of the Hudson River.

We are excited to be bringing back the Montford Holiday Tour of Homes for the 25th year! The Tour is a fundraiser for the Montford Neighborhood Association (MNA), a non-profit community organization that strives to keep our neighborhood progressive, verdant, safe, and fun.

Our Tour Details:

Tour a collection of private homes in the famed Historic District of McKinney, all dressed up for the holidays and open to the public!  Tours are self guided, Saturday 10:00am – 5:00pm and Sunday 11:00am – 5:00pm

A 46 year tradition benefiting Chestnut Square which includes a collection of house museums in downtown McKinney,Texas.

Tickets: $25

Tour of Homes tickets are good for 1 admission to each private home, for use on either or both days.

TEA/BRUNCH OR AFTERNOON TEA

Enjoy brunch or tea in our beautiful Bevel House, and Christmas festivities at Chestnut Square. Two Days/Times available:  Saturday, 10:00am and 4:00pm, Sunday, 10:00am
