Clark Safari and Adventure Park is the newest attraction located at Clark Freeport Mabalacat, Pampanga. A ₱135million 40 hectare zoological leisure park that can accommodate up to 2,500 visitors who will get to see more than 1500 live animals and 70 species.

The construction started back in 2019 and after a series of lockdowns delayed its launch the park finally opened its doors back in December 08, 2021.

We tried to go visit the park during their soft opening. Sadly, we weren’t able to enter due to its “by invitation only” policy. Then, mid December, we decided to try again. The moment I saw a full parking lot, my anxiety kicked it and  I immediately told myself – “no, not today.”

After the Metro Manila alert level 3 has been lifted, we decided to try again. When we arrived, the parking lot was nearly empty. Roughly, 6 – 10 cars only and I was so happy that day!

Starting February 11, 2022 (FRIDAY) Clark Safari and Adventure Park will be open from 8AM until 6PM including holidays. People of all ages are allowed to enter. Entrance fees with (soft-opening) rates starting at ₱399 for kids (four feet below) and ₱499 for adults.

Kids below 3 feet will be FREE of charge while Senior Citizens and PWDs will have a 20% discount. You are also required to present your vaccination card.

Before I take you to a virtual tour, DISCLAIMER : All opinions are of my own. NO compensation received. Opinions expressed belong to Kat&Beyond and are NOT influenced in any way.

My first impression upon entry is that the entrance is quite impressive. They have this huge animal statues perfect for a family photo-op. Kids will sure have fun and can actually sit on the statues!

But mind you, I am not so sure about that. As you can see, the gorilla’s hand is wide enough for a kid to sit and the kangaroo at the back has a pouch that a small kid can fit inside. Imagine how cute the photo will be.

You have to confirm the rules with any park personnel.

In my opinion, when you visit take advantage while its still new, well painted and in good shape. Just in case they will not be able to maintain it years after.

I honestly got confused when I saw the Lagoon. There was no water.  I grew a bit disappointed because I was looking forward to seeing some fishes and perhaps feed them?

The enclosures were clean and no foul smell at all which truly amazes me!  

I didn’t see a labelled ark on this area. Aside from the big monkey enclosure,  this walkway will also lead you to the animal petting area which is partially under construction at that time.

I was really excited to see how huge it is but sad to say, the bear is sleeping at that time.

This is the main attraction of Clark Safari and Adventure Park – the tigers. Can you spot them? I know… they’re all sleeping 😢 except for the Asiatic Lion which I manage to take a really nice shot.

As for the Northwestern Wolf I didn’t bother posting the photo because they were sleeping and they’re hiding under the rock. 

The whole place is definitely Instagram worthy especially with these wide variety of backdrops.  You may use your own camera or hire a photographer and pay ₱200 per print. 

Excluding the ₱50.00 fee (each) if you want to take a photo with the Bearcat, Burmese Python or with 2 of the Macaws of your choice. 

You can also take a photo with the baby white tiger while feeding it (with milk!). Fee is ₱500.00 you can also use your camera but there will be a photographer who will take photos and of course, you have to pay additional ₱200 for the print. 

Yes, it’s a bit pricey but kids will surely love this kind of experience. 

Clark Safari is on phase 1. Meaning, its partially under construction and here are some pics that nobody wants to post.

From afar, I saw weird, huge dinosaur bones. It’s up-hill and there was no trespassing sign. So we went straight ahead.  Then we saw a car on top of the boulder which s quite interesting but after that the road leads to nowhere.  The  construction is everywhere from that lower part of the zoo.

Overall, our experience was quite ok. Personally, I enjoyed my walk. There was no foul smell which is a plus! and what made it worth it is that we almost had the entire place for ourselves.

We arrived at 11:00am and almost all the animals were asleep. If you plan to go, maybe try around 3:00pm. 

As for the food, the place doesn’t have much choices. There’s only Potato Corner and TJ Hotdog stand (which is closed).  The only fast food restaurants that are open are the one outside by the entrance. To me, it’s a bit dark in that fast food area and doesn’t really have a good ambience.

We ended up eating Potato Corner for lunch which we don’t really mind. What’s important is that we were able to sit down, eat our fries while enjoying each others company.

In my humble opinion, just didn’t expect that this is how their soft opening looks like so, you be the judge. But hey! it’s all about the kids and their educational experience yes? Plus there is plenty of space for them to run around and burn their energy! 

As for me, I will go back when their restaurant, Banua opens and when they finish the zoo’s Phase 2.

From what I’ve heard, phase 2 will include a theme park inside the zoo wherein safari rides, zip lines, and ATV rides will be made available to the public.

Zoobic Safari Guide 2024: Our Experience, Tickets & Tips

We visited Zoobic Safari in Subic to get up close and personal with wildlife creatures we don’t normally see in zoos and other animal parks like Manila Ocean Park and Cebu Ocean Park . Some Zoobic Safari animals we saw and had close encounters with were bearcats, donkeys, ostriches, pythons, crocodiles, zebras, lions, and of course, tigers!

In terms of land area, the 25-hectare Zoobic Safari is only second to the 170-hectare Cebu Safari and Adventure Park . However, Zoobic Safari is the first and only tiger safari in the Philippines, which is still bucket list-worthy in our books. In fact, our experience here gave us an incredible wildlife adventure we won’t soon forget.

Read on to know more about this huge safari park – from tickets to attractions and friendly reminders.

Zoobic Safari tickets

Zoobic Safari offers different tickets for adults and children. See Zoobic Safari price list below.

Zoobic Safari entrance fee 2024

• ₱895 for adults
• ₱795 for children with a height of 3 feet to 4 feet
• Children below 3 feet are free to enter the park.
• You will pay ₱20 on-site as a mandatory Environmental and Tourism Administrative Fee (ETAF).

This Subic safari park is open from Monday to Sunday, 8am to 4pm . Last admission is 2pm.

Zoobic Safari address and how to get there

Zoobic Safari is located in Group I Ilanin Forest, Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Olongapo, Philippines . It is approximately three hours away from Manila. Refer to this Google map to guide you.

To reach the Zoobic Safari location, you can either drive a car or take a bus .

Drive to North Luzon Expressway, then exit in San Fernando, Pampanga. Follow the signs going to Olongapo City. Then, take the Tipo-Subic expressway going to Subic Bay Freeport Zone.

Tip: If you don’t have your own car, it would be more convenient to rent a car with a professional driver , especially when you have kids. Just like what we did, the driver picked us up from our house, waited for us to finish the whole safari tour in Zoobic, and brought us back home safely.

RENT A CAR HERE

From Metro Manila, find the nearest bus station with buses going to Olongapo terminal. The most reliable bus line is Victory Liner . It has terminals in Pasay, Caloocan, Sampaloc and Cubao and has an hourly service from 4am to 6pm. Once you reach Olongapo terminal, take a jeepney to Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) main gate. Then, take a taxi inside SMBA going to Zoobic Safari. The regular taxi fare to Zoobic is ₱400 (one way).

Zoobic Safari attractions and our fun experience

Our entire Zoobic Safari tour lasted for about 2.5 hours and we already experienced the following main attractions:

Aetas’ Trail

The first leg of our tour was the Aetas’ Trail , where we were welcomed by a spectacular cultural performance of the Aetas, an indigenous group in Luzon and one of the earliest inhabitants of the Philippines.

Zoobic Park

Our next stop was Zoobic Park , where we saw different species of free-roaming animals including the binturong (bearcats), monkeys, donkeys, deer, ostriches, guinea pigs, and more!

Tiger Safari

Of course, we didn’t leave the park without experiencing the Tiger Safari . We boarded an enclosed tram where the caretaker fed the tigers with raw chicken.

There is an additional fee of ₱200 if you want to see the feeding action first-hand. We were scared at first as the tiger devoured the meat but it was a sight to behold.

Tiger and Lion Close Encounter

If you’re claustrophobic and don’t like riding the enclosed tram, you can still observe the lions and tigers at a close distance in their resting spaces.

Huwag mag-loco-loco dito! (Don’t be a fool here!) There are over a hundred crocs awaiting your every move! You can cross a steel-grated walkway with these ferocious creatures below you. You can also buy a quarter chicken for ₱50 to be placed on a fishing pole to feed them. We were too scared to commit a wrong move so we didn’t dare to do any of this.

Serpentarium

Shhhhhh.. These cold-blooded creatures can’t be bothered. Here, you’ll observe different kinds of snakes like pythons and boa constrictors, and other reptiles such as monitor lizards, iguanas, and turtles.

Animal Show

Since we visited on a weekend, we were able to watch the live animal show where animals showcase their talents and skills. Take note of the animal show schedule which is only on weekends at 10.30am and 1.30pm.

Friendly reminders

• As you’ll mostly be exploring the outdoors, it’s best to wear comfortable clothes and a good pair of walking shoes.
• While you can buy food and drinks inside the park, you may want to bring your own drinking water safely contained in a water container or tumbler.
• Follow the health and safety protocols. There will be an orientation before you start your tour so listen carefully to the staff.
• Observe proper decorum and cleanliness at all times. Avoid making loud noises that could disturb the animals and their habitats.
• Do not attempt to feed the animals unless you sign up for feeding activities.
• Photos and videos are allowed so long as you do not disturb the animals and other visitors.

It’s been so long since we went to a zoo, last time was at Singapore Zoo back in 2019. When I saw a celebrity posted about this newly opened Clark Safari on Instagram, I told Kyle we should pay a visit. They had their soft opening last October 2021. Clark Safari and Adventure Park is located at. 67 Jose Abad Santos Ave, Clark Freeport, Mabalacat, Pampanga. They are open daily, from Monday to Sunday, 8AM to 5PM with cut off of 4PM.

Entrance fees are posted below. You may walk in or book an online reservation via this link .

Requirements:

• Vaccination card for all visitors (this will be asked upon entering Clark and the safari)
• For adults and kids who are not vaccinated, they must present a negative antigen or RT PCR test results
• Wear mask at all times (you can quickly remove it when taking photos or eating)
• Social Distancing

Travel Tips:

• Schedule your visit early to avoid the crowd. We went on a Thursday, arrived at 7:30AM and we had the safari all to ourselves. Less contact and safer
• Wear comfortable clothes because you’ll do a lot of walking. We wore caps to avoid the sun to hit our face directly
• Bring water, you may also buy drinks inside the safari

Where to eat?

They have food trucks outside, snacks area, and a restaurant as well. When we arrived, food trucks were still closed, I think they open during lunch time

Upon entering the place, you will see these decorations to feel the safari vibe

Just show your ticket to the personnel at the gate and you’re good to go!

Here’s the Safari directory

First stop is the Lagoon where you can walk around, take photos of the animal sculpture like elephants and giraffes

After the Lagoon, you’ll see the Reptile Kingdom

Next to that is the petting area. You can feed the rabbits and goats for free

Of course, the brown bears! Unfortunately, the brown bears were sleeping when we were there. This photo was borrowed from Clark Safari’s Instagram page.

They have a description and conservation status per animal which is a good learning session for the kids, and adults too.

Beside the Brown Bears are the Baboons. We loved watching the Baboons, they like running and chasing each other

You’ll also see ponies, Taal rescue horses, cows, and zebras in one area.

Big and small cats are also a must see! Make sure to bring a DSLR camera to zoom in and take better photos. Unfortunately my phone didn’t do much justice to their beauty because they’re far. Second and third photo were borrowed from Clark Safari’s Instagram page.

These black wolves are not joking, they look so scary when they look at you in the eyes

Sadly, we weren’t able too see the white tiger cub, they said they’re still being vaccinated and will be available to hold closely by Chinese New Year. Just look how cute it is!

Lastly, photo op area with some animals. There’s a PHP50 fee per photo per person with them.

This Albino Burmese Python is named Sharon. She weighs 50 kilograms, almost same as my weight! So, yes, she’s heavy. Kyle got a bit scared so he took my photo instead.

These beautiful birds are gentle and playful. Safe to take photos with them!

The kids will surely enjoy taking photos with these animal sculptures, they can play around it too.

Clark Safari and Adventure Park

We traveled for an hour and a half to Clark Safari and Adventure Park. It is a big, instagrammable zoo in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga.

Clark Safari and Adventure Park Entrance Fee

We bought our tickets at the entrance of the park. Here are the 2023 Clark Safari and Adventure Park entrance fees:

They have a very photogenic entrance so we also took some photos before we entered the park.

They do not allow food and drinks inside the zoo but you can buy them inside the zoo.

Clark Safari and Adventure Park Lagoon

The first area we entered is the Lagoon. It has big statues of giraffes and elephants in the middle of it. They also have a Kids Spot area where you can take instagrammable photos.

Reptile Kingdom

The first area with real animals is the Reptile Kingdom. They have a lot of turtles here – baby turtles and really big ones too like the African Spurred Tortoise.

Next, we saw a lot of crocodiles! It was a bit scary at first because there were a lot of them.

We also saw some cool big iguanas there like the Green Iguanas. It was so cool because they were living with turtles!

There were a lot of interesting, and a bit scary, reptiles in this zoo.

Rin’s Petting Zoo

Next, we went to Rin’s Petting Zoo. We saw a lot of fish there and we got to feed rabbits and goats. It was so much fun! This is my favorite part of the zoo.

Next, we went to see the bears! They had a very big area and we had a hard time seeing them first because they were sleeping.

We saw baboons beside the bears. There were quite a few of them!

⭐ Tip! Bring a camera with a good zoom if you want to take pictures. Sometimes, they sleep at the back and it can be hard to take pictures with just a phone.

We saw some Taal rescue horses in the middle of the zoo. We got some snacks and drinks in this area too.

There were also ostriches and zebras here.

Panthera Kingdom

After that, we went to see the lions and tigers. There were even wolves and a Jaguar!

Next, we visited the birds’ area! We saw a lot of colorful birds there like the cockatoo, eagles, and pelicans.

Uphill Area

After the snakes’ area, we went up this uphill area where there was a lot of fun animal instagrammable area.

There were also a few animals up the hill like pigs and goats. There was a nice view too.

Other Animals

After that, we saw a Fennec Fox and some snakes!

I liked exploring Clark Safari and Adventure Park.

It is very clean and photogenic, the petting zoo was really fun for me and my brother and it is so huge! I wish they have an elephant and a giraffe but that’s ok since we had a great time.

Zoobic Park

A special petting zoo and animal observation area set in a tropical jungle environment. Meander through and interact with, pet and enjoy displays of a diverse array of animals from many regions of the world. Many of these animals have become acclimated and friendly to human beings and are free and roaming amidst the visitors. You are free to reach-out and pet many of these animals. Tiger Safari See the amazingly-long and sharp tiger-canine teeth so close to you that you actually feel the fear and excitement of these ferocious hunters. Thrill as a 400 pound tiger easily jumps on top of your safari vehicle while he eats a whole chicken. A once in a lifetime adventure experience riding in a safari jeep were you will enter in a c close fence structure and be fascinated to see the live tigers roaming around as they thrilled you with their vibrating growl.

Croco Loco Here you will find a pit of over 200 crocodiles. Walk over the steel grated walkway with the snapping monster directly below you. Here you can purchase a quarter chicken, dangle it on a fishing pole for the Crocs to snap away from your line. Then walk down to the Crocodile Café where you can view the quick-snappers from a water-level glass observation area while you snack on some goodies.

Serpentarium Get a close-up view of reptiles small and large. See snakes from around the world from the simple king snake to some huge pythons and boa constrictors. Also included here are lizards, iguanas, monitor lizards, turtles, and other cold-blooded creatures are available for viewing.

Zoocobia Fun Zoo is located at Calumpang, Mabalacat City Pampanga. It is situated on top of the Sacobia Valley in Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga. 

How to get to Zoocobia Fun Zoo?

Zoocobia Fun Zoo is about sixty-two miles (99 kilometers) north of downtown Manila. It’s just four miles away (6.5 kilometers) north of Clark International Airport. 

However, it can be a little bit difficult and exhausting to reach Zoocobia Fun Zoo using any public transportation. Your best possible choices are either a tour or driving your private car.

Via private vehicle: From NLEX take SCTEX, then exit toll gate 91, about 1.2 kms from the toll gate turn right to Sacobia Bridge. Then straight going to Zoocobia Fun Zoo.

Via public transportation: From DAU Bus Terminal take a jeepney going to Mabalacat Public Market. Then take another jeepney going to Marcos Village (Terminal beside 711 convenience store ). From Marcos Village take a tricycle going to Zoocobia.

What are the Attractions? 

The first attraction would be the ‘Birds of Paradise,’ where you have a chance to interact pretty close to the different colorful birds nestled on the tree inside the zoo. Hearing them chirping might give you an engaging day ahead. 

The ‘Philippines Pride’ is the second attraction that might want to consider visiting. Here, it will be presenting various animals and some autochthonal plants to the Philippines, which is why it’s called Philippines Pride, they are indeed the national pride of the Philippines. 

The third attraction that you must visit is their ‘Garden Maze’. The main highlights of the attraction are the topiary plants shaped like various animals. Walking inside the maze is thrilling and you must find yourself out of the maze. 

One of the top attractions that you must try is “The Barn.” This is where a lot of animal-related activities occur. You can experience feeding the baby farm animals for example pot-bellied pigs, goats, and sheep. 

The next one will be the Menagerie. Here, where you witness a rare collection of stuffed real animals that Zoocobia’s zoologists protected. 

Lastly, the Mango Camp, where you can experience harvesting your sweet mangoes fresh from the tree during the mango season. Once, you picked your mango, you’ll be able to buy and take it home.

What are the other Amenities?  

One of the attractions was the Zooc, which is patterned after the luge in Sentosa Resort in Singapore. The Zooc is a gravity car that runs on a 400-meter track with three hairpin curves that will make your experience a once-in-a-lifetime thrilling ride. 

You can experience riding the Zooc for only Php 99 per person. 

You can also experience riding the Camel, which is the first ever and only Camel Ride in the Philippines for Php 200. 

While you can do Animal Feeding for only Php 100.

What do I need to know before visiting Zoocobia Fun Zoo?

The only requirement that you need to bring before visiting the zoo is to wear and bring a face mask. You need to bring a facemask to protect yourself, and also the animals in the zoo.
