Most awaited European concert tours happening

Posted on Last updated: 6 January 2024

Home » Music » Most awaited European concert tours happening

If Rolling Stones and Garth Brooks had the  most successful music tours  in 2021, this year, we’ve got even more exciting names that will perform amazing shows. But other approaching tours are expected to occur around Europe in places where the whole world will gather.

If you want to get tickets and ensure your place on these tours, purchasing them early is best. At the same, ensuring you’ve got accommodation and learning how to get around these cities is essential, especially if you’re coming from the US, Asia or other areas. If you’re into a particular artist, you can follow their socials and get early access to some of their concerts’ locations at a lower price.

Let’s get into it!

who is on tour in europe 2023

Coldplay is one of the most known rock alternative bands around the world, most famous for songs such as  Speed of Sound, Clocks  or  Viva la Vida.  The London-based group was rewarded with multiple Grammys, and people compare its style with Radiohead and Oasis.

In 2023, Coldplay is doing a worldwide tour around Europe, the USA and Latin America. The concerts will start on the 17th of May in Portugal and will end on the 1st of October in the United States. The American locations are pretty near to each other, so if you’re coming from Boston, you might need to leave your car at the  Boston Logan airport parking .

Here are the European countries where Coldplay will sing:

  • Portugal (17-21 May)
  • Spain (24-28 May)
  • United Kingdom (31st May-7th June)
  • Italy (21-29 June)
  • Switzerland (1st and 2nd of July)
  • Denmark (5th and 6th of July)
  • Sweden (8-12 July)
  • Netherlands (15-19 July)

Metallica is one of the oldest rock bands in the world since it was founded in 1981. With multiple hits and impressive songs,  Enter Sandman  got to the top of the “ 500 Greatest Songs of all Time ”, while  Nothing Else Matters  entered the Billboard 200 as number one shortly after its release.

The 2023 Metallica world tour will primarily take place around Europe, but locations such as the US, Canada and Mexico are also on the list. The closest date to seeing Metallica is on the 13th of April in the Netherlands , but here are some other countries where you can find them:

  • France (17-19 May)
  • Germany (26-28 May)
  • United Kingdom (the 8th of June)
  • Finland (7-9 June 2024)
  • Poland (5-7 June 2024)
  • Spain (12-14 July 2024)
  • Mexico (20-29 September 2024)

The closest date to see Metallica in the US is on the fourth and sixth of August in East Rutherford. The nearest airport is in Boston, where you can get Logan airport parking in case you want to leave your car somewhere safe.

Depeche Mode

Depeche Mode is yet another old but gold band founded in 1980 that mainly focuses on post-punk, synthpop and industrial rock. The group originated from the UK and is currently on the list of “50 Bands that changed the world” and “100 Greatest Artists of All Time”.

Regarding the tour, Depeche Mode will get across the whole world, so you don’t have to worry about missing them. Most Big European cities were chosen as concert locations, while Canada, the US and Mexico are also on the list. Here’s where to get your ticket:

  • Netherlands (16-18 May)
  • Belgium (the 29th of May)
  • Germany (4-6 June)
  • Spain (the 8th of June)
  • France (22-24 June)
  • Romania (26th July)
  • Poland (2-4 August)

Bruce Springsteen

The American singer and songwriter Bruce Springsteen is known for his long-lasting and energetic concerts as well as impressive lyrics. Many of his singles reached the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 10, and almost all his albums were successful during his career.

His concert tour is not that expanded since, besides the US, Canada, Ireland and the UK, only a few European locations are set to be the locations for his concerts, like:

  • France (13-15 May)
  • Netherlands (25 and 27 May and the 11th of June)
  • Denmark (11-13 July)
  • Germany (the 21st of June and 15 and 23 July)
  • Austria (the 18th of July)

You can buy the tickets directly from his website, but some might need to be searched for on other third-party ticket vendors. Springsteen stated that he’s excited to see his “great and loyal fans” as he always valued the public.

Hans Zimmer

Hans Zimmer is famous for his unique soundtrack contribution to the most known movies and adaptations. He’s the one who composed music for  The Lion King, Dune  and  The Last Samurai . Hans reached the list of  Top 100 Living Geniuses.

In 2023, Hans Zimmer will be present mostly around Europe in the following cities:

  • Germany (the 23rd of April, the 9th of June)
  • Belgium (the 25th of April and the 22nd of June)
  • Italy (1-3 May)
  • France (6-9 May and 23-25 June)
  • Portugal (the 13th of May)
  • Spain (11-16 May)
  • Switzerland (22-23 May)
  • Poland (the 30th of May)
  • Czech Republic (the 2nd of June)
  • Austria (the 3rd of June)
  • Hungary (the 5th of June)
  • Slovakia (the 6th of June)
  • UK (14-16 June)
  • Ireland (the 18th of June)

How to prepare for traveling to Europe

If you’re outside the European Union, you might need to get your visa in check and analyze the price exchanges. While some European countries are relatively affordable, some leverage expensive accommodation and food, such as Austria, for example. At the same time, getting an adaptor and power strip might come in handy, as European adaptors are different from American ones.

What’s best in Europe is that you can get everywhere with cheap public transportation . Trains, buses and trams are everywhere so you won’t have to pay for taxis. The locals are usually welcoming, but it would be best to respect their culture and not be loud around cities. However, if you want to party before or after concerts, know that European bars and clubs are like no other!

Bottom line

This year is full of exceptional worldwide tours by excellent singers and bands. Regardless of the genre you listen to, the artists above are ageless and a staple in the music industry, so we recommend getting your tickets as soon as possible.

The most incredible, angelic, beautiful person to ever grace this earth. I've never been more stunned by a performance. SZA met and exceeded all of my expectations, I cannot put into words how amazing she is live. It's an experience you don't want to miss if you get the chance to see her. She was so happy and humble and was continuiously appoligizing for being sick and I honestly couldn't tell, that's how great she is. Also the experience brought me life not only because I got to see her preform but because everyone was singing every single word to every song with her. Truly incredible when you are surrounded in a room full of people singing your favorite songs at the top of their lungs. Needless to say I want a live version of ctrl after all of this so I can reminisce.

The War on Drugs

Grace is a highly underrated quality for a rock band to possess. When compared to other, more universal assets like rawness, volume and ability it might seem a little forgettable, but a band playing to the absolute best of their ability and making it look as natural as breathing can be the genesis of some truly unforgettable moments of live music. Not one band that I’ve seen sums this sight up as well as Philadelphia indie rockers The War on Drugs, and when it comes to their sold out show at the Koko, Camden’s most ornate venue, most traditional phrases describing a well played gig seem too violent to sum it up. They didn’t “smash it”, they didn’t “blow the roof off”, they didn’t “destroy the place”, they were far better than that. Make no mistake, Adam Granduciel and co played up a storm, their psychedelia inflected country-rock filling every inch of this beautiful venue but the atmosphere was unlike any gig I’ve been to in a very long time. The crowd lost themselves in the music in a way that didn’t lead to mindless moshing and crowd-surfing, the 1400 people were enraptured, moved by the music, not to the music. It was an experience as beautiful as it was exciting and anyone with a passing interest in this life affirming lunacy we call Rock and Roll should seek it out as soon as possible.

Literally the best thing I have ever seen. The whole band sounded so tight, the light show was insane and they really played to the audience. Two full sets of material plus an encore was probably more than any of us expected. They played so many songs that I wanted to hear, even some really old material which was so unexpected. The whole audience was buzzing with energy and love for a band that are so good, but really don't tour enough. I'd waited 10 years for a chance to see them and now that I have, I'd have waited another 10 if I knew it was going to be that perfect. It was a privilege to be in that room and witness something so beautiful.

Absolutely incredible!! Khalid was only my second concert ever and it has inspired me to see as many as I can. It felt like every song was played at 250% and it sounded incredible. The band was phenomenal and I could really feel the music. The crowd was happy and everyone was having a good time. I'd see him again if I could.

Mindblowing. Asskicking. No holds barred. Take no prisoners. These are the words that come to mind when I think about a Foals show. The first time I saw Foals was only after I had just listened to their song, "Spanish Sahara". Just that one song and my mind was made up. I needed to see them. Turns out that one song was merely a comma in the string of punctuations this band is capable of creating. That song is probably the tamest one they played, and I couldn't be more grateful. A strobe light show starts off their performance to the band members entering one by one. Then lead singer Yannis Phillippakis takes the stage, his signature black Travis Bean guitar in hand. He had a wireless setup for that guitar - a tipoff that I immediately recognized. This show was about to get insane. They ran through a few of their hits from their first album, "Mathletics", such as "Red Socks Pugie", and "Cassius". The crowd was in absolute hysterics. Ebbing and flowing with the music, people crowd surfing and ramming into each other. The song progressed into songs off their sophomore release, "Total Life Forever", where they played "Blue Blood", the aforementioned "Spanish Sahara", and the amped-up "Two Steps, Twice". Then mayhem. Yannis runs top speed and propels himself into the crowd (who were miraculously ready and caught him). All the while, Yannis continues playing his guitar. What happened next was a thing of beauty. Somehow, Yannis makes his way to the side of the venue and proceeds to climb up to the balcony level, and again, launches himself off into the crowd. In all my years, I've never seen someone with such a low fear of death or injury. Since this first performance I've seen Foals a number of times and they never disappoint. Even when they were added as a last minute addition to fill in for a band that canceled for Governor's Ball 2013, they managed to win over everyone at the festival, some saying they were the highlight of the entire event. Easily one of the best live acts I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. Without a doubt, I have never danced, jumped, and sweat so much than when I am at a Foals show. Do yourself a favor, drop any plans you might have and go see Foals. Well worth it.

Tyler, The Creator

I have been a fan of Tyler for a long time, as well as the whole group of OFWGKTA, and seeing him live was something I had on my bucket list. I went in with high expectations for his show, already knowing of how much energy and enthusiasm he puts into his live performances. What I got at The Forum went above and beyond anything I could have hoped for. The crowd was amazing, knowing every song and shouting and yelling along with unrivaled amounts of energy. Tyler was just as, or even more, energetic and knew how to work the crowd perfectly by interaction, be it between moments talking about random things or talking about his music and singing. I was blown away by the fact that at least twice he called to stop the song just to start it again because he loved how into it the crowd was and wanted to see it again. Of course we, the crowd, loved it and drained our lungs out with every lyric. I've seen the Arctic Monkeys, Sleigh Bells, Banks, Pendulum, Wolf Alice and others and can honestly say Tyler was the best overall. Everyone exited the venue with shirts soaked in sweat and with cracking voices, with grins on their face from having experienced something they'd never forget. If you like Tyler, or by extension OFWGKTA, you have to see him live if you get the opportunity, you can never anticipate how godly his live performances will be. I will definitely be waiting for his next visit to see him again.

The biggest gigs and tours to look forward to in 2023

From reunited legends to rising stars, 2023’s live calendar is jam-packed with unmissable appointments

Self Esteem Stormzy Blur Damon Albarn

Times are tough right now, there’s no denying that. But there’s also no denying the healing power of music – especially going to witness your favourite artist or new obsession live. Luckily 2023 is already jam-packed with massive tours and big gigs to help brighten up our lives, whether that’s Arctic Monkeys stepping up to stadiums, rap’s newest star GloRilla showing her mettle, or reunited legends like Blur and Pulp giving us some good old nostalgia. Here are the biggest gigs and tours to look forward to this year.

  • Arctic Monkeys

Matt Helders and Alex Turner performing live on-stage with Arctic Monkeys in 2022

Dates announced: Arctic Monkeys ’ 2023 dates start early, ringing in the New Year in Australia. From there, they’ll tour Asia and Europe, before coming home to the UK for a massive stadium tour and returning to the US.

Why you should go: To witness a live show as dazzling as the mirrorball the band performed around on their 2022 tour. Something tells us the grandiose strings of latest album ‘The Car’ will sound absolutely majestic in the humongous venues the Monkeys will be playing over the next 12 months.

Elton John

Dates announced: Elton John starts his year in Australia and New Zealand before returning to the UK and Europe for a  Glasto finale .

Why you should go: These are quite literally your very last opportunities to see one of pop’s most iconic and unique artists. Sure, loads of acts say they’re quitting touring and then have a big change of heart a few years later, but you don’t want to take the risk of missing out on Elton.

  • Red Hot Chili Peppers

Recommended

Anthony Kiedis Red Hot Chili Peppers

Dates announced: Red Hot Chili Peppers will tour New Zealand, Australia and Asia in the first two months of the year, moving on to North America in spring, and Europe and the UK in summer.

Why you should go: They’re pros at the big stadium spectacular – they’ve been doing it for long enough by now. They’re also bringing some huge names with them in support, from Post Malone to The Strokes and Iggy Pop . Not bad!

  • Harry Styles

Harry Styles performing live on-stage in 2022

Dates announced: After three rescheduled LA dates in January, Harry Styles will head to Australia in February, continuing on to Asia and Europe, arriving in the UK in May.

Why you should go: The ‘Love On Tour’ tour might seem never-ending, but even if you’ve been multiple times, it’s still a whole lot of fun to go again. Enjoy the conga lines to ‘Treat People With Kindness’ and make friends with your seatmates as you bellow out Harry’s modern pop anthems together. Sounds lovely.

who is on tour in europe 2023

Dates announced: The iconic British girl group will head down under in February before playing a one-off London date in September.

Why you should go: These dates are a continuation of the original Sugababes line-up’s reunion – Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donagh – and will see the women celebrating the 25th anniversary of the group. They’ve been through a lot of ups and downs in that time, but this feels like a perfect way to mark the milestone.

Glorilla

Dates announced: US tour begins January 27.

Why you should go: GloRilla is the hottest new hip-hop talent in the game and it’s not going to be long before she’s filling massive venues around the world. Get down to this tour and say you saw her first – and enjoy her mix of femininity and boldness in her infectious songs.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band

Bruce Springsteen performing live on stage during Paul McCartney's headline set at Glastonbury 2022

Dates announced: US leg begins February 1; the tour arrives in Europe on April 28, with UK dates from May 30.

Why you should go: There’s been some (deserved) uproar about very expensive tickets, but if you can find a pass at a reasonable price, Springsteen will certainly give you value for money – his gigs are known to stretch for hours, rattling through the big hits and the fan favourites far longer than most acts would perform for.

Paramore

Dates announced: US leg runs from February to August, with UK dates nestled in the middle in April.

Why you should go: To hear the brilliant new songs from upcoming album ‘This Is Why’ among all the best cuts from their back catalogue. Plus, it’s been way too long since Hayley Williams and co went on a proper tour – five years, in fact.

  • Caroline Polachek

Caroline Polachek

Dates announced: The UK, Europe and North America are all on Caroline Polachek ’s schedule, beginning in the former in February.

Why you should go: The alt-pop star’s live shows have been described as a work of art and she always packs surprises into her sets – like at her last London gig, when she was joined by Croydon’s Trinity Girls Choir on ‘Billions’.

Self Esteem

who is on tour in europe 2023

Dates announced: UK tour kicks off in February.

Why you should go: This tour feels like a victory lap for Self Esteem , who arguably has had the best last couple of years out of all of us. Her album ‘Prioritise Pleasure’ has constantly wowed fans and critics alike, while her live show has been praised as one of the best in recent memory. Give yourself another chance to see why it’s so brilliant before she inevitably pops off to come up with her next mind-blowing record.

SZA - SOS review

Dates announced: US tour kicks off February 21.

Why you should go: Because SZA ’s new album ‘SOS’ is a very late contender for Album Of The Year and, had it been released earlier, would certainly have been nearing the top of a lot of lists. If you need any more incentive (you shouldn’t), she’s also bringing along Omar Apollo in support to add some extra greatness.

Yungblud performing live on-stage

Dates announced: The Doncaster rock’n’roller will head out on a world tour, beginning in the UK in February before hitting Europe and North America.

Why you should go: Yungblud ’s gigs are renowned for being inclusive, euphoric and theatrical celebrations where you can let go, be yourself and find a community of kindred spirits. We could all do with a bit more of that energy in 2023 so get down to a show and make the most of it.

Lizzo. Credit: Tim Mosenfelder via Getty Images

Dates announced: Europe tour begins February, with UK dates from March before continuing onto North America.

Why you should go: Lizzo shows are the ultimate upper – a feel good celebration of life from one of the most infectious personalities in music. Grab your mates and make sure you get there in time for “bad bitch o’clock”.

BLACKPINK

Dates announced: The ladies of BLACKPINK will take their BORN PINK tour across Asia, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand in the first half of the year, before heading to London in July to headline BST Hyde Park.

Why you should go: This K-pop girl group know how to put on a show , from hi-tech, futuristic VTs to set the mood between each phase of the concert, to artful and flashy stage production. The songs are equally as good – by the time you leave the venue, you’ll have several jostling for place as that day’s earworm.

Blink-182

Dates announced: Blink ’s return begins in South America on March 11, before heading to North America in May and the UK and Europe in September.

Why you should go: It’s the pop-punk icons’ first tour with Tom DeLonge since he left the band in 2015 – aka a massive deal. There’s also a new album on the way, so this won’t just be a big nostalgia trip.

  • Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift performing live on-stage

Dates announced: US leg begins March 17; international dates TBA.

Why you should go: Taylor Swift ’s 2023 tour is dubbed ‘The Eras Tour’ and, while it’s not entirely clear exactly how she’s going to honour each of her past albums yet, it’s guaranteed to be the perfect chance to celebrate the many highs of her brilliant career so far (if you can beat Ticketmaster). Plus, the support bill in the US is stacked, with Paramore , Phoebe Bridgers , Gracie Abrams , Haim , Girl In Red , and many more along for the ride.

The Walkmen

The Walkmen Hamilton Leithauser

Dates announced: US tour begins April 24; one further festival date confirmed so far at Portugal’s Paredes de Coura Festival.

Why you should go: Sure, New York in the early noughties had The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Interpol , but it also had The Walkmen , a band who often get left out of top billing when talking about that much-romanticised scene. Take one listen to the indie disco classic ‘The Rat’ and tell us that’s fair, and then go book your tickets to their reunion tour.

Kirk Hammett (left) and James Hetfield (right) of Metallica performs on day 1 of Lollapalooza at Grant Park on July 28, 2022 in Chicago, Illinois

Dates announced: The tour begins in Europe in April, heading to the UK for two sets at Download Festival in June, before moving onto North America.

Why you should go: As if you need a reason to go and see Metallica , the titans of metal. But just in case: they’re masters of their craft – aka big, bruising, headbang-worthy riffs – and have a discography of seemingly endless anthems for you to get lost in the moshpit to.

Damiano David of Måneskin

Dates announced: The Italian rockers will tour Europe across spring with a massive London gig at The O2 in May.

Why you should go: In this day and age, it’s rare for Eurovision contestants to carve out careers post-Song Contest that aren’t short-lived or derided as novelty. But Måneskin are living proof that it is doable, so long as you have the tunes and the charisma to deserve more than 15 minutes of fame. The four-piece have both in bucketloads, as you can bear witness to on this tour.

Foals

Dates announced: An intimate UK tour in May.

Why you should go: Foals are now one of the biggest bands in the UK and so the opportunity to see them in tiny venues is a rare chance we must grab when it’s presented to us. Dance to ‘My Number’ on the sticky floor of a club in spring, then celebrate their ascent as they headline Reading & Leeds in the summer.

Pulp

Dates announced: The UK and Ireland-only dates begin in May, continuing til July.

Why you should go: They’re back, baby! Just under a decade since their last live performances, Pulp have reunited once more and are taking their show back on the road to liven up our summer. Expect all the classics, but no Steve Mackey – the bassist has confirmed he won’t join the band on tour.

Damon Albarn of Blur performs live

Dates announced: Select European festival dates woven between three headline shows in Dublin and London this June.

Why you should go: When Blur first reunited in 2009, they instantly blew away any fears that the band might not be the same after years apart. This latest reunion should be no different and the members seem in good spirits about it, too. “We really love playing these songs and thought it’s about time we did it again,” Damon Albarn said when the gigs were announced.

Moldy Peaches

Adam Green

Dates announced: One London show and appearances at Primavera Sound in Barcelona and Madrid

Why you should go: It’s been 20 years since anti-folk icons The Moldy Peaches last performed in Europe. Although they announced their reunion with the slogan “Once a Moldy Peach, always a Moldy Peach”, who knows when this opportunity to see New York underground royalty will come around again?

Joni Mitchell

Joni Mitchell

Dates announced: George, WA, Gorge Amphitheatre (June 10).

Why you should go: Joni Mitchell might be playing only one date next year but you should move heaven and earth to try and make it. Why? The last time she held a full concert was 23 years ago and it’s unlikely she’s about to hit the road for even a handful more dates at this point, so it could be your only chance to see the bonafide legend live.

Pet Shop Boys

Pet Shop Boys Neil Tennant

Dates announced: The UK and European tour runs from June to July.

Why you should go: This is Pet Shop Boys ’ ‘Dreamworld – The Greatest Hits Live’ tour so you’re basically assured that you’re going to hear all of the biggest and best songs in their inimitable arsenal.

jamie t live

Dates announced: London, Finsbury Park (June 23)

Why you should go: It’s Jamie T ’s biggest headline show to date and bound to be an absolute riot. This is an artist who can do indie disco bangers, poignant, softer (if booze-soaked) cuts, and everything in between and make it seem effortless.

The Weeknd

The Weeknd

Dates announced: UK and Europe tour begins in June before covering Latin America.

Why you should go: This huge stadium tour will cover both of The Weeknd ’s two latest albums – ‘After Hours’ and ‘Dawn FM’ – taking you inside the sci-fi-tinged world of both masterpieces.

Stormzy

Dates announced: Stormzy will take over one day of London’s All Points East, curating a special ‘This Is What We Mean Day’.

Why you should go: The whole day will be Stormzy’s vision – something he’s already proved countless times is a great thing. The line-up has yet to be announced but expect to discover exhilarating new talent, big names making surprise appearances and, of course, it all to be topped off by a headline set from Big Mike himself.

The Postal Service & Death Cab For Cutie

Ben Gibbard

Dates announced: US tour kicks off September 8

Why you should go: Ben Gibbard is pulling double duty on the tour, fronting both The Postal Service and Death Cab For Cutie . Six Reasons Why Going To Gigs Alone Is The Best

So you want to go see that metalcore band you love but none of your friends like that “shouty” music? Or you REALLY want to go check out that new artist on TikTok you discovered but all your mates won’t go to a gig where they only know one song? Or worse, your group of friends cannot get themselves organized and work out which show and when to go on a tour, so you’re worried you’ll miss out on tickets. Let them be miserable and start living your best life by going to concerts by yourself. Trust us, it’ll be the best thing you’ll ever do!

Going to gigs alone can be daunting. What am I going to do with myself in between sets? Are people going to think I’m weird? Why would I not want to share the experience?

Listen, we are all for sharing the experience, but sometimes it’s either missing out or going alone, and in those cases we definitely recommend going alone. Here’s a few reasons why you’ll never regret it once you build up the courage to go through with it.

1 . See artists you really REALLY want to see

Imagine the FOMO of missing your favourite band on their new tour, hearing all those new songs live, seeing everyone post about it. Don’t let that happen, and get that ticket. Plus you then get to tell the pals who didn’t want to come how you saw that band or artist before they blew up or how they played that one B-side track that everyone loves – now who has FOMO?

2. Meet new friends

It’s no secret that music brings people together. That moment when everyone’s favourite ballad hits and there’s not a dry eye in the building, you turn to your left or right and suddenly you bond with a stranger over your favourite song. For the metalheads, we also recommend mosh pits, follow the rules of the pit but what a way to make new friends!

3. The freedom

Now hear us out – but going to a gig alone means you can get to the venue when you want, you can go to the loos when you want, you can stand in line at the merch for hours and no one will ask if you’re sure you want to wait. And no one will drag you home when you want to wait after the show has finished and find every piece of confetti or ask for the setlist.

4 . It’s a cult

You are not alone in going to gigs by yourself, you’d probably be surprised by how many people do the same thing. Some fan groups even have entire sub cultures of going to gigs alone (shoutout to Frank Turner’s solo armada, we see you!) – bringing us back to reason #2, new friends.

5. Confidence boost

Going to a gig by yourself will do wonders for your confidence. Sure the first time might feel a bit awkward and weird, but isn’t it always? Remember your first day of school? And then it was kind of okay after a while (let’s ignore our teenage years…) Once you’ve done it and experience all of the divinity of a solo gig you’ll feel free as a bird.

6. Experience the music your way

Whether you love hanging out by the bar, need to be front row, prefer seats or want to leave a bit earlier to catch the last train – the world is your oyster! The experience is yours, you don’t need to coordinate with someone else, rely on them to enjoy the show as much as you are and have as much of a good time as you are. And frankly, if you took a chance on a new genre or new artist and it isn’t your vibe, you can just go home. Glorious.

So there you have it – doesn’t sound too bad now does it?! At the end of the day it all comes down to you and your artist, a concert will always be a shared experience whether with strangers or friends. The most important thing to do is have fun.

Your next gig awaits

It all starts here.

Create memories to last a lifetime

Whether it’s your favourite band, an evening with friends, discovering new artists or the seventh show on the tour, we are your go-to home for all things live music.

Don’t miss out on the biggest announcement and keep checking back for latest news and last chance tickets.

The Who Release First Handful of 2023 Tour Dates

by Tina Benitez-Eves December 9, 2022, 9:45 am

Following up their The Who Hits Back! Tour of Canada and the U.S. in 2022, The Who has added on a small number of dates in Europe in 2023.

Videos by American Songwriter

Marking the first time the band has played in Europe in seven years, the initial three dates include shows in Spain, France, and Germany and kick off in June. Additional shows, including a full series of shows in the UK, will be added at a later date.

Like their most recent North American dates, The Who will be backed by a full orchestra for their European tour, featuring orchestra conductor Keith Levenson, cellist Audrey Snyder, and violinist Katie Jacoby.

Founding members Roger Daltrey, 78, and Pete Townshend, 77, will be backed by their longtime touring band—guitarist Simon Townshend, bassist Jon Button, keyboardists Loren Gold and Emily Marshall, and drummer Zak Starkey along with backing vocals by Billy Nicholls—and perform music from their nearly 60-year career, with sections devoted to the albums  Tommy  and  Quadrophenia .

“It is wonderful that we can return to Europe after so long away, to play Berlin, Paris, and Barcelona, three of my favorite cities in the world,” said Townshend in a statement. “We look forward to bringing our grand orchestral show which has received such great reviews so far and play some old-fashioned Who-style rock and roll songs from our back catalog as well. We mix it all up in the most amazing evening of music.”

Townshend added, “I have to say that this show is one that I personally enjoy as much as anything I have ever done in the 60 years I’ve been working with Roger.”

Earlier in 2022, Townshend joked that Roger Daltrey “wants to sing until he drops,” and that this isn’t a final Who tour. “No. It’s not a farewell tour,” said Townshend . “Apart from anything else, we still have people who have tickets for the UK 2019 tour [ The Who’s 2020 UK tour that was cancelled in 2021]. We’re very, very keen to do that tour and we’ll be doing that in 2023.”

The Who Hits Back! Tour: Berlin 20 June 2023

who is on tour in europe 2023

Back in Berlin – it’s been some time. Onstage, during the show Pete even said “At this point, we must apologise . . .” that it’s taken them so much time to come back here. I remember our 2006 show here on the Endless Wire tour quite vividly because: It was under an outdoor tent (unusual for us), I met guitarist Andy Scott of The Sweet that night, and they played ‘Let’s See Action’  which was really great and I wish we’d get that one back someday!

And so, we are back in this busy town. Heavy on the block concrete and graffiti – I’ve never seen another city quite like it, although the West has more greenery, but we don’t get that side very often. There are remnants of the past always around you; as an outsider, it’s impossible not to be fascinated by that past on these visits. We go to see where the Berlin Wall remains – very small parts of it painted in optimistic and positive works by select artists. It’s good to remember, even painful things like this physical manifestation of the Iron Curtain. There’s so much activity here, it’s a hub of art and performance and culture always. Certainly one of the most-active cities I’ve ever visited, bar none.

Our show today is also in a very historical location. Built for the 1936 Olympics (mainly boxing) it’s an outdoor amphitheater made of cut stone, set in the heart of a deeply forested park. Waldbühne (‘Forest Stage’) it’s called now – and very visual. We like the steeply-raked seats along the sides and back; the band will have a great view of everyone, compared to a flat festival view or hockey arena floor!

Flying in just before the show, we have some special guests: Nia Dennis is a world-class American competitive gymnast who also represents Teen Cancer America. She’s also been hired as a fashion model by Adidas (based here in Berlin) and here, the worlds unite so she can meet everyone on the same night. Her chaperone is publicist Danielle Dorfman, and you’ll see Nia and Danielle ( above ) meeting Roger onstage for the first time. Then two representatives from Adidas came, met everyone and saw the show – connections all around; the start of more good things, we expect!

Tonight we’re on quite early – by an hour or more easily – because they have an early curfew in the park for noise reasons. And as we’re in a far Northern latitude, the sun doesn’t go down until quite late anyway. All in all, that means we’re going to have almost the entire show in daylight, highly unusual. Our lighting team will be doing their business as usual (they came in last night to set up and focus everything ahead of time) although it won’t have quite the effect that we normally do.

We have a somewhat slow start – which is ok. The audience is outside, it’s bright, and the lighting effects are SO important to the power of the music and moods. But it still is The Who and it still is Tommy – people are enjoying it, but largely seated. ‘Pinball Wizard’ hits. At first, people seem to be very quiet about it, but afterward they go crazy – and that does it; people are up and standing. They like the hits, it seems. Each crowd has different responses; some to the big songs mainly, others like 70s arena rock, some love the 60s singles, others really appreciate what’s good about tonight, the performance moments that happen differently each day. We get ‘The Acid Queen’ back tonight! At our first rehearsals, Pete and Rog had been pulling toward extending both the Tommy and Quadrophenia sets. It’s been a while, and Pete sings it well, despite little rehearsal, it’s another classic that goes down well. The audience even starts clapping together spontaneously, in a place we’ve never seen them do, the middle instrumental break. Cool.

‘Listening To You’ fell apart at the end – a tech issue, really. No one else could tell but Zak suddenly lost ALL his audio and had to play without the usual sound. He did well, because it didn’t sound like it affected him, but he must have been in hell trying to pull a charging-ahead rock band and “tied to the page notes” orchestra together without audio clues. He does it seamlessly each night, but this brief instance must have been a struggle. Admittedly, Tommy was sloppy tonight; no big deal, it’s The Who, right? Pete says afterward, “Those were a few selections from Tommy . . . Obviously, we’re not always sure which ones!!” Pretty funny.

Next up – Who Are You is also popular, but the 60s songs hit hardest for these people – we have some old-soul Who fans out there that grew up with the singles version of the band. As Lemmy from Mötorheard once said: We all love the music we learned before we knew much; before we “had filters up” or were sophisticated. So the music that you heard when growing-up, as a more innocent listener – that remains your favorite core era of any band. Others will have a different experience with even the same band’s catalogue. So we know who these fans are now . . .

Our video guys have the two side screens, but they are further out and needed to be hung in vertical/portrait mode: this makes for a new set of choices for camera and video work, but they are critical to our shows and certainly always able to take on any challenges with ease. Their team is always efficient and always self-contained; they get the job done, unlike the rest of us who are always in each other’s way!

‘The Kids Are Alright’ becomes a big singalong! People must be hopped-up on beer and churros, because we usually don’t get that. “You lot sound great!” Roger enthuses, he’s clearly enjoying their interaction tonight – he can see (for miles) clearly from the front row standing to the back seats at the top. At ‘Tattoo’, Pete tells the crowd that when they were young, maybe 15 years-old, the thing that made you A MAN was a real tattoo. So – he tells the younger ones – never say the boomer generation never gave you anything! ‘Tattoo’ also very popular – those ’60s people are loving it tonight.

A fine show – even with the bright skies making this a bit less-rocking visually. And then we were done – a big finish with ‘Baba O’Riley’, as usual. Katie comes out, orchestra ties perfectly into rock band. Nice!

who is on tour in europe 2023

Our load-out was challenging. We usually like “the out” as it’s called. But tonight – ouch! The stage is built in front of a big stone and cement box, literally designed like a fortress in case somebody came for Der F ü hrer there! Truth – he’d even insisted they build an exit hallway out the back to the forest; the hallway was built with jogs and curves so that no one could shoot strait down it, killing the occupants! This slim and angular route was where we had to push our many cases. As I said, the past still lingers here. Long gone, but still aware of it at the end of a long day . . .

So long, London.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift left her third and final Eras Tour show in London hand in hand, as seen in a fan video .

The Kansas City Chiefs player, 34, was spotted waiting for the pop star in an all-white outfit and a bucket hat as she chatted with someone on Sunday.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift

After wrapping up her conversation, Swift stepped into frame in a pink dress and heels, reaching for her partner’s hand as they walked down a ramp.

“THEY ARE DRESSED NICE WHERE ARE THEY GOING?!” one X user asked.

Another gushed , “going on a date after a 3+ hour show?! and they say love is dead.”

Taylor Swift

Swift, also 34, kicked off her England performances on Friday and rolled right into another show on Saturday.

Kelce was spotted at Wembley Stadium for all three concerts, even making a surprise onstage appearance for the final show.

He joined two of her backup dancers during the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” transition, fanning himself during the songwriter’s subsequent wardrobe change.

Swift will have a few days off before hitting the stage in Dublin next week.

Kelce, who is in his NFL offseason, last attended one of his girlfriend’s shows in Paris in May, making headlines for dancing with Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid .

The athlete remained abroad for a Lake Como getaway with Swift.

The couple stayed in a luxurious private villa , which cost $21,000 per night, and he filmed his and brother Jason Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast from somewhere “in Europe.”

Travis Kelce, Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper

The tight end gushed about Swift’s “unbelievable” skills while urging listeners to catch her upcoming tour stops.

“It has her new ‘Tortured Poets Department,’ a handful of those songs in the new show, which means  there’s a new segment , new lights, new dancing and everything,” Travis said at the time. “I enjoyed every bit of it.”

The three-time Super Bowl winner hadn’t met Swift when he first attended an Eras Tour show in Missouri in July 2023 — although he did try to give her his phone number on a friendship bracelet.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce

While he was “disappointed” Swift didn’t talk to him at the time, news broke two months later that the duo were dating .

When the “Catching Kelce” alum next attended one of her shows in Buenos Aires in November 2023, the couple were caught on camera embracing and kissing .

He has since watched Swift perform in Singapore and Sydney, showing PDA both times.

Keanu Reeves' band Dogstar announces summer 2024 tour for their first album in 20 years

Keanu Reeves and his band Dogstar are going back on the road.

Following the group's first performance in 20 years last summer, Dogstar announced Tuesday that its members are embarking on the Summer Vacation Tour 2024 across North America.

"We can’t wait to see everyone! Thank you all for all the love and support," drummer Rob Mailhouse commented under the band's Instagram post. "We can feel it every time we take the stage. ❤️"

Start the day smarter. Get all the news you need in your inbox each morning.

Dogstar, currently on tour in Europe, will be visiting 29 cities starting with the Indiana State Fair on Aug. 8. Their last show is Dana Point, California's Ohana Fest on Sept. 27.

The pre-sale begins Wednesday at noon local time; tickets can be found at dogstarofficial.com .

Last October, Dogstar — which comprises Reeves, Mailhouse and guitarist/vocalist Bret Domrose — came out with its first album in two decades, a 12-track record titled "Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees." It was released by their own label, Dillon Street Records and featured their single "Everything Turns Around."

The "John Wick" star, the alt-rock band's bassist, formed the band with Mailhouse and the group's original guitarist and lead singer Gregg Miller in 1991.

Before ending their 20-year hiatus with a performance at BottleRock Napa Valley music festival in northern California last May, Reeves told  Billboard  that being with Dogstar was "something I’ve always missed."

Interested in going? Check out tickets at Vivid Seats , StubHub , SeatGeek , and Ticketmaster .

"I missed playing together, I missed writing together, I missed doing shows together," he said. "We came to a spot where we weren’t playing anymore, and I missed it … Once we started to play, and it felt good, and really positive and creative, that’s when it was like, 'OK, let’s make this happen.'"

"I think all three of us just said, ‘Well, if we’re going to do this, let’s make a record,'" Reeves said. Domrose added, "We just knew that there was ‘X’ amount of time, and we needed to make the most of it. We just locked on as wanting to make this record, and it happened pretty quickly."

At the Napa Valley festival, the band played tracks from the previous albums, 1996’s "Our Little Visionary" and 2000’s "Happy Ending," as well as several songs from their yet-unreleased "Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees."

Three months later, Dogstar went on to tour two dozen cities in North America and Japan in its Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees Tour.

Where to watch Copa America: Live stream Colombia vs. Paraguay next

When you buy through our links, Business Insider may earn an affiliate commission. Learn more

Copa America is back for another year of competition that will see the best national soccer teams of North and South America play for the championships. Below, we've compiled everything you need to know about where to watch Copa America.

First held in 1916, the CONMEBOL Copa America is the world's oldest continental-based, still-running soccer competition. It is centered around South America but has come to include North American teams through CONCACAF, as well as the occasional Asian team invitee (none will compete this year, but Japan and Qatar have participated in the past).

Returning champions Argentina are tied with Uruguay for the most wins, at 15 titles each, and kicked off the competition with a win against Canada. Argentine superstar Lionel Messi will take a break from his duties with Inter Miami and return to his home team to attempt to lead them to another championship. The competition will run now until the final on July 14.

No matter what team you hope to watch, we'll show you how to tune in from home. Keep reading to learn all of your watch options.

Where to watch Copa America in the US

Copa America matches will be spread across Fox, Fox Sports 1 (FS1), and Fox Sports 2 (FS2) in the US. If you don't have cable, it might be time to explore a Fox-friendly live TV service like Sling TV or Fubo.

For Sling TV , you'll need to subscribe to the Sling Blue plan (for $40 a month) and opt for the Sling Blue Sports Extra add-on (for an additional $11 a month). This will get you access to FS1 and FS2. Sling Blue also comes with Fox in select areas. You should input your zipcode before subscribing to see if your region can get the channel. You can also check out Sling's local channels guide for a regional breakdown. This total package will cost you $51 a month, but Sling is usually running a promo for new users that can knock some money off your first month.

who is on tour in europe 2023

For just the essentials without any extra fluff, Sling TV is the streaming service you're looking for. It's more customizable than other plans, with three options you can choose from, so you pay for only what you need. New members get their first month for $25 off.

Fubo is another solid live TV option that offers Fox, Fs1, and Fs2. As always, you should check to ensure the channels you want are available in your region, but Fubo offers pretty broad Fox coverage. Subscriptions cost $79.99 a month, but new users can get a one-week week free trial.

who is on tour in europe 2023

Fubo is the streaming service for sports fans. Its huge library of channels includes regional and international sports leagues, setting it apart from the competition. You can also tack on additional programming to your plan, but it'll cost you extra.

Where to watch Copa America in Canada

Copa America is available on TSN in Canada. Subscriptions start at $19.99 a month. This is also the Canadian home of the ongoing Euros.

Where to watch Copa America in the UK

Copa America streams on Premier Sports in the UK. Subscriptions start at £10.99 a month.

Where to watch Copa America in Australia

Copa America streams on Optus Sport in Australia. Subscriptions start at $24.99 a month. You can also catch the Euros here, so it's a solid service for Australian soccer fans.

Where to watch Copa America in Brazil

Copa America streams on Globoplay in Brazil. Some matches might be available to stream for free down the line, but Globoplay otherwise requires a subscription. Subscriptions start at R$54,90 a month (which is about $10 in USD).

Where to watch Copa America in Mexico

Copa America coverage is spread across multiple services in Mexico, including TelevisaUnivision (streamed through ViX ) and TV Azteca (on Azteca 7) . Both of these are Spanish-language options that will stream select games for free throughout the tournament. ViX also has a paid tier, which might be able to help Mexican viewers with the games that they can't find for free.

How to watch Copa America from anywhere

If you'll be traveling away from home during any of the Copa America matches, you can keep up with your usual streaming methods using a VPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs allow you to temporarily change your device's virtual location so that you can access your usual websites and apps from anywhere. Since the services we've highlighted require country-specific forms of payment, this option will be best for people who are simply traveling away from home and hoping to access their existing subscriptions.

If this sounds like a good fit, we recommend trying  ExpressVPN . It's a straightforward VPN with a 30-day money-back guarantee. For additional details, check out our  ExpressVPN review .

who is on tour in europe 2023

With its consistent performance, reliable security, and expansive global streaming features, ExpressVPN is the best VPN out there, excelling in every spec and offering many advanced features that makes it exceptional. Better yet, you can save up to 49% and get an extra three months for free today.

Note: The use of VPNs is illegal in certain countries, and using VPNs to access region-locked streaming content might constitute a breach of the terms of use for certain services. Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal use of VPNs.

Scheffler wins 6th of the year at Travelers in protest-marred finish. Yang wins 1st LPGA major

CROMWELL, Conn. (AP) — Scottie Scheffler beat Tom Kim with a par on the first playoff hole to win the Travelers Championship on Sunday — waiting out a disruption by climate protesters who sprayed powder on the 18th green — for his sixth win of the year.

That’s the most in one PGA Tour season since Tiger Woods won six in 2009 and the most by a player before July since Arnold Palmer in 1962.

It was Scheffler’s fourth victory of the year in the PGA Tour’s $20 million signature events, earning him a payday of $3.6 million. He also won the Masters and The Players Championship.

Scheffler closed with a 5-under 65 to post 22-under 258 at the TPC River Highlands. After the disruption on the 18th, which delayed play for about five minutes after police tackled the protesters, Scheffler left a 26-foot putt from the fringe on the edge of the cup and tapped in for par. Kim then made a 10-foot birdie putt for a 66 to catch Scheffler.

The hole location on the 18th was moved for the playoff to avoid the parts of the green affected by the protesters. Scheffler hit his approach to 11 feet while Kim found a plugged lie in the front bunker and made bogey. Scheffler two-putted for par and the victory.

LPGA Tour and PGA of America

SAMMAMISH, Wash. (AP) — Amy Yang built a huge lead and survived a couple of late mistakes to win her long-awaited first major title on Sunday, a three-shot victory in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship.

Yang closed with an even-par 72 at Sahalee to finish at 7-under 281. She was nearly flawless for the first 15 holes and reached 10 under for the tournament for a seven-shot lead before running into a little bit of trouble, dropping three shots in two holes. None of her pursuers was able to mount a significant charge.

At age 34, Yang is the oldest major winner on the LPGA Tour since Angela Stanford won the 2018 Evian Championship at age 40.

Yang’s sixth LPGA victory was her first since last year’s CME Group Tour Championship, which was also the most recent victory by a South Korean player. She earned a spot in the Paris Olympics, where she will represent South Korea for the third time.

Lilia Vu and Jin Young Ko each shot 71 to tie for second at 284. Vu shot three rounds under par, but couldn’t overcome a 75 in the first round.

LIV Golf League

COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. (AP) — Tyrrell Hatton won the inaugural LIV Golf Nashville on Sunday, easily holding off Jon Rahm and two-time U.S. Open champ Bryson DeChambeau for the Englishman’s first victory since January 2021 at Abu Dhabi.

Hatton took a three-stroke lead into the round, and shot a 6-under 65 to polish off a six-stroke win over Sam Horsfield at The Grove.

This was Hatton’s ninth event since joining LIV Golf, and a tie for fourth had been his best finish. His lone PGA Tour victory was the 2020 Arnold Palmer Invitational . With captain Rahm shooting a 68, Hatton helped Legion XIII also win its third team title.

Rahm played his first event since an infection on his left foot kept him out of the U.S. Open after withdrawing from LIV Golf Houston during the second round. He tied for third with DeChambeau (68), Joaquin Niemann (62) and Lee Westwood (66).

European tour

AMSTERDAM (AP) — Guido Migliozzi of Italy holed a 7-foot birdie putt on the par-5 18th and then birdied it twice more in sudden death to win the KLM Open in a three-man playoff on Sunday.

Migliozzi birdied two of his last three holes for a 1-under 70, joining Marcus Kinhult of Sweden and Joe Dean of England, who earlier birdied the 18th and each posted a 68.

All three players birdied the 18th on the first playoff hole, but the Italian was the only player who managed birdie on the second extra hole, two-putting from about 60 feet for his first European tour victory in nearly two years.

Migliozzi and Dean earned the two spots available for the British Open next month at Royal Troon through the Open Qualifying Series. Dean earned the exemption over Kinhult based on a better world ranking.

PGA Tour Champions

ENDICOTT, N.Y. (AP) — Padraig Harrington won the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open for the third consecutive year on Sunday, making a key par save on the par-3 17th to hold on for a 4-under 68 and a one-shot victory over Mike Weir.

Weir was playing two groups ahead of Harrington and closed within one shot by making birdie on the 17th hole. Harrington missed the green to the right and faced a difficult lie, with the ball sitting down on a slight slope.

He chipped it about 8 feet past the hole and made the par putt, and then closed out with a par on the 18th at En-Joie Golf Club to finish at 15-under 201.

The victory comes one week after Harrington was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame during the U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2.

Weir closed with a 67. Ken Duke (68), Mark Hensby (66) and Ken Tanigawa (70) tied for third, two shots behind. Tanigawa was part of a three-way tie for the 36-hole lead with Harrington and Stephen Ames.

Korn Ferry Tour

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — John Pak capped off his first Korn Ferry Tour victory on Sunday when he closed with a 2-under 70 for a three-shot victory in the inaugural Compliance Solutions Championship.

Pak had a seven-shot lead going into the final round thanks to a 65 on Saturday. He responded to an early bogey with a birdie, played the front nine of the Jimmie Austin OU course even, and played bogey-free on the back nine with birdies on both the par 5s.

Jackson Suber, the alternate who replaced an injured Jon Rahm at the U.S. Open and then made the cut, closed with a 63 to finish alone in second and move to No. 22 on the points list.

Steven Fish (67) finished alone in third.

Pak, who swept all the college awards in 2021 as a senior at Florida State, finished at 23-under 265 and moved from No. 51 to No. 9 on the points list.
