The Urbini Omni Plus Travel System is a sleek, stylish stroller with included car seat and base, all for under $200. Sold exclusively at Walmart, this is the Buick of strollers. But not like those old Buicks your grandpa used to drive – instead, this is like the new models that young, cool, hip people drive.

With an affordable price tag, this transport unit comes in a variety of colors and rivals the more expensive systems on the market.

Pros & Cons

Lightweight

Small under-storage basket

Somewhat limited maneuverability

Non-luxury fabric

Cruise Around in Style

This bassinet stroller travel system comes with features every new parent will appreciate, especially the cup holders. Mama needs her java. Besides a prominent spot for mom’s coffee, there’s a stay-in-car base with a belt lock system that anchors the base to your car, a 5-point harness on the stroller, and a lightweight design to make taking your little one anywhere a breeze.

Does NASA know about this stroller technology? They really should. Could help them on Mars the next time they send Matt Damon.

Best Travel Stroller? I’m Leaning Towards YES

My Urbini Omni review is a glowing one (minus some downsides that I’ll get into below). I love that the Urbini Travel System allows me to use either the car seat or the stroller at any age. One feature I’m gaga over is that the handle is adjustable to accommodate most heights. You know how it is, mommas. We’re different sizes and the Urbini recognizes that.

Moreover, I often bring my son to class with me, and because he needs space to sleep, we leave the infant car seat part in the car and use the stroller as a bassinet. Using the stroller like this has also made changing diapers and outfits much easier since I didn’t have to search for a clean spot – which is the bane of many mother’s existence.

The stroller also folds flat into my trunk, so it’s easy to take where I need to go. Additionally, I didn’t feel bad adding this item to my registry because I knew it wasn’t as expensive as the other strollers on the market – despite having the same safety features I was looking for.

Growing Baby, Growing Stroller

I love that the Urbini Omni Plus Travel System is a stroller that I can continue to use as my baby grows. As much as we wish they’d stay small and cute forever, eventually they become toddlers – who are also small and cute but with more tantrums. The travel system comes with the stroller seat, frame, car seat, and car seat base, all for the same price. However, the price varies depending on the color of the travel system you choose, like a Buick.

I really appreciate that the stroller seat and car seat can either face towards you or towards the world. If you have a little one that loves to see people and say hi, this stroller makes it safe and possible to do so.

Regardless of which way your child faces in the stroller, it comes with a large canopy that also has a transparent peephole for you to keep an eye on your little one at all times. As I mentioned above, there’s the cupholder perfect for holding baby’s bottle, water or mom’s coffee on those tiresome days when you take your little one for a stroll but need a boost.

The Urbini also comes with comfort features for baby such as a full-seat recline and a preemie insert for newborns of any size.

The Minor Disappointments of This Majorly Awesome Stroller

While the Urbini Omni Plus Travel System is a great stroller, there are a few issues. For example, the storage basket underneath is small, so don’t plan on being able to fill it while shopping, unless you are shopping for very tiny groceries.

Additionally, the wheels on the stroller may not be the best for maneuverability. This may not be a problem for some people considering all the other amazing features, but it is definitely something to take note of depending on your lifestyle. If I could change anything about the stroller, I would add bigger wheels that have a better turning capability. It can be a pain sometimes when I am trying to turn the corner and the wheels lock up in the process.

Another downside to the travel system is the quality of the fabric. It’s not horrible, but it clearly isn’t top quality either. Personally, I would prefer a softer fabric. I’ve been using the stroller system a lot during the winter months, so my son is often covered with blankets. My biggest concern is the fabric may irritate him in the summertime when we don’t have the convenience of blankets to protect his skin.

Urbini Omni Plus Travel System Review Verdict: A-

The Urbini Omni is for parents who are on-the-go and need a travel system that is still affordable. If you’re a mama that goes to lunch, meetings, or lives in Target, this could be the very stroller you’re looking for.

This travel system is a must-have for mamas who are on a budget and still want the extravagant look with all of the safety features. One of the greatest benefits of a travel system is that you won’t have to buy another stroller, as the Urbini grows with your child. And while the wheels aren’t always the best for navigating curbs, I plan to continue to use my Urbini stroller system as long as possible.

As a mom that is constantly moving with my child, this travel system lets me take my baby along easily and conveniently. I highly recommend it to all mothers who are looking for an affordable, lightweight, and stylish travel system stroller that will last from newborn though toddler. And when NASA starts using them on Mars, you’ll be ahead of the curve.

– the complete Urbini Omni Plus Travel System review!

3.7 out of 5 stars

Weight: 22 lbs

urbini travel system blue

The Urbini Omni Plus is a super affordable travel system that combines the Urbini Omni Plus stroller and the Urbini Sonti infant car seat. It is super affordable at just under $200 compared to most travel systems on the market.

It is a newborn/toddler stroller that can be used from the birth of your child till they are much older – up to 6 years old. It is an everyday stroller that has all the features you’d hope to have in your stroller – large basket, parent cup holder, multi-position recline, and reversible seat.

The stroller is quite nice because it provides you with up to three options to ride it. First – you can carry your newborn/infant using the Sonti car seat. Second – you can transform the stroller seat into a bassinet to also carry your newborn (an alternative to the car seat). And lastly, you can use the stroller seat once your baby is older.

In terms of features, the stroller is quite great. The only issue is in its quality. The stroller is quite flimsy and the infant car seat is quite small with not enough padding around which can be uncomfortable for your baby. The stroller is also quite heavy at more than 30 lbs. Which along with its plastic wheels makes it quite hard to maneuver. A lot of parents also had a similar feedback which contributes to the lower rating for the Urbini Omni Plus.

As an alternative, I’d recommend the Graco NimbleLite Travel System instead. It is also super affordable, and includes all the features you’d get with the Urbini Omni Plus, but with better quality.

It has better fabric quality, a tray with cup holder and also includes an infant car seat for your newborn:

Omni Plus Travel System Features

Bassinet Stroller: As a travel system, the Omni Plus already includes a car seat. But in addition to this, it also includes a bassinet. This gives you even more options/ways of riding the stroller.

Newborn Stroller: By replacing the stroller seat with either the car seat or a bassinet, you can convert the Omni plus into a newborn stroller. This gives you two nice options for carrying your newborn aboard the stroller.

Reversible Seat : The Omni plus stroller seat can be adjusted to be either forward or backwards facing. You can have your kid facing you or facing outwards during the ride.

Multi-Position Recline: In addition, the stroller seat is able to recline into multiple positions. With this feature, your kid can either sit up straight, lay back for a nap.

5-Point Harness: Lastly, in terms of safety, the stroller seat also has a 5-point harness system that helps to keep your baby safely strapped to the stroller seat.

Adjustable Handlebar: Another cool feature of the Omni Plus stroller is it’s adjustable handlebar. This allows you to adjust the handlebar to a more convenient height for you. A too high or too low handlebar can be quite uncomfortable and take a toll on your shoulders and back. So it is always great to have an adjustable handlebar. And this is also great for tall and short couples, as either parent can handle the stroller at comfortable heights.

Storage Basket: This stroller also includes a decent-sized storage basket to carry your on-the-go items. You can carry items like diapers, toys, or snacks for your trips!

Extendable Stroller Canopy: the stroller includes a large extendable canopy that helps provide enough shade for your baby. Great for really sunny days as it provides a lot of cover.

Child’s Weight: Weighing up to 22 lbs, the stroller is able to carry up to 50 lbs of child’s weight. And with the car seat, you can carry a max. of 35 lbs.

Urbini Omni Plus Travel System reviews

While the Omni Plus includes a lot of great features, we still need to look at the Pros and Cons. During my review, there were a few Cons which you don’t notice till you actually have to use the stroller, so here is a quick overview of the Pros and Cons for the Omni Plus Travel System.

  • Newborn stroller : you can carry your newborn aboard the stroller using the car seat or bassinet option
  • Adjustable handlebar : the handlebar can be adjusted to fit the height of a tall or short parent.
  • Reversible seat : the stroller seat can be adjusted to be either forward or backwards facing.
  • Not so easy to maneuver
  • Car seat is hard and does not have enough padding
  • Can be quite heavy for smaller parents

In terms of feedback and reviews from parents who purchased and used the stroller, there were quite a number of negative feedback which unfortunately makes the Omni Plus not the beat travel system recommendation. Here is a quick overview of the Likes and Dislikes parents had about the Omni Plus

  • Very affordable
  • Can be used for newborns
  • Includes cup holder
  • Wheels are faulty and keep getting stuck
  • hard to maneuver and steer

A lot of parents had issues with the steering. With the weight of your baby on the stroller, it becomes quite difficult to steer and make turns. Which is quite horrible to have with a stroller. In addition, parents complained about the wheels getting stuck and hard to adjust. These faults are quite hard to overlook with a stroller, making the Omni Plus not a great stroller option despite all the great features.

Therefore, based on the stroller features and parent reviews, the Omni Plus stroller gets:

3.9 out of 5 stars

Conclusion –  Urbini Omni Plus Travel System Review

The Urbini Omni Plus is an affordable full-featured travel system for your newborn. However it has a few issues with quality which needs to be considered. If you want something just as affordable but with better quality, then you should check out the Graco NimbleLite Travel System ! Just as affordable but with better quality.

Baby's Journey

Urbini Omni Plus Travel System Review

Last Updated on December 22, 2020

Baby’s Journey independently conducts research to find products that help families navigate life’s journey. We may earn a commission from purchases through links on this page.

As the parents of two boys, we always try to find solutions to make traveling with our children as easy (and enjoyable!) as possible. Trying to remember all of our equipment is no easy feat, and we needed to figure out an all-in-one travel solution to get us out the door quicker and accommodate our baby and toddler.

The Urbini Omni Plus 3-in-1 Travel System stroller and car seat combo would have met all our needs — except for the fact that you get what you pay for when it comes to this stroller.

When you just compare the features, it may seem similar to our pick for the best travel system stroller, the Graco Modes Travel System , the Graco FastAction Fold which is in a similar price range, or even the higher end Baby Jogger City Select . However, this Urbini stroller is not even in the same ballpark when it comes to quality. We’ll get into why these other strollers are a better pick and why we do not recommend the Urbini Omni Plus for most families . The main exception is if you’re just looking for the cheapest travel system stroller out there or just want a back-up stroller you can toss in the car.

Things to Consider Before Buying a Travel System

Having a car seat and stroller combo is essential to ensuring compatibility and not having to worry about the gear not connecting correctly as if purchased separately. Babies and children can be moved smoothly from car seats to the stroller without taking them out, which is especially useful to transport sleeping babies without waking them.

The Urbini Omni Plus Travel System is ideal for cost-conscious parents who are continually moving children from house to stroller to car on a daily basis. It’s a childcare accessory that benefits those from all walks of life, whether they use public transportation or have personal vehicles.

Before purchasing this product, you should decide whether or not an all-in-one solution is best for them. While it’s nice to move the baby around without the worry of adapters, make sure the stroller has all the features that you want. You may also lose some personalization and preference options when you purchase an all-in-one set.

Urbini Stroller Review: Omni Plus Travel System

The Urbini Omni Plus offers six modes of transportation in one product. It’s an all-in-one modular stroller that seeks to streamline the process of toting babies along by creating an integrated product.

Evenflo Urbini Omni Plus Travel System with LiteMax Infant Car Seat

It includes the lightweight Infant Car Seat, designed to easily-install into cars and seamlessly connect to the lightweight stroller frame.

For its part, the stroller offers a multi-position reclining seat, forward and back facing options, a 5-point harness with comfort pads, in addition to a storage basket, canopy, adjustable handle, and cup holder. Additionally, it can convert from a stroller to carriage to bassinet, and then back again.

This stroller is ideal for those who prioritize ease and convenience with a system that features everything they need. It offers an all-in-one solution that provides moms, dads, and babies with a seamless transition from car to stroller and back. This is especially helpful when you have to carry a baby who’s been fighting sleep in the car for a quick drive around the block back into the house.

WHAT WE LOVE

  • Converts to a bassinet if you have an infant
  • Large canopy with a peek-a-boo window
  • Reversible stroller seat
  • Car seat holds babies up to 50 lbs.
  • Energy-absorbing foam surrounds your baby
  • Removable preemie insert in the car seat

WHAT COULD BE BETTER

  • Cheap and wobbly tires
  • Difficult to steer due to the plastic wheels
  • Challenging to clip the car seat in
  • Doesn’t always fold up fully or correctly
  • Insufficient storage space with no parent console

Urbini Stroller Features & Benefits

Folding, weight, and portability.

With assembled dimensions coming in at 34.84 in. long by 26.38 in. wide by 44.09 inches tall and a total weight of 36.6 lbs., the Urbini Omni comes with about average measurements compared against other strollers.

The Urbini car seats, when rear-facing, can hold babies from 4 to 35 lbs. and up to 32 in. tall. The stroller, on the other hand, can hold a child’s weight up to 50 lbs. Finally, it features 6 3/8 in. rear and 5 5/8 in. front EVA wheels.

The only storage space on the Urbini stroller is the basket that sits under the carriage. Likely to save on cost, it doesn’t come with a parent console many parents need to hold a phone, pacifiers, or other essentials. However, it does feature a single cup holder on the handle for parents who want to stay hydrated on-the-go, but don’t want to purchase any extra accessories.

Sun Shade & Protection

The Urbini Omni 3-in-1 features a UV 50+, two-position sun canopy in terms of sunshade and protection, including a plastic peek-a-boo window.

Additionally, it has a weather shield that helps protect against strong winds, which is incredibly convenient if you happen to find yourself caught in a sudden onslaught of bad weather or if your fussy baby needs some outdoor time in less-than-ideal conditions.

Wheels & Maneuverability

It features two rear wheels and two front wheels, although I’d stay away from rocky or uneven terrain with the cheaper wheels. The steering can also be tighter than other models, which makes it difficult to change directions.

Car Seat Compatibility

The beauty of this stroller, car seat, and base combo is you don’t have to worry about purchasing additional pieces or stress about compatibility issues — it provides everything you’ll need. No extra adapters or other accessories to make the car seat attach, it’s all included with one purchase.

However, the car seat is only made for infants, so it’ll likely only get you to the child’s first birthday.

Seat Function

The Urbini Omni includes various seat positioning options, which is ideal for helping you find the position that works best for them and their baby. It includes a multi-position, tilt-reclining seat, 5-point harness with comfort pads, reversible stroller seat, and contoured body support with a removable preemie insert.

Additionally, it is convertible from a stroller into a carriage and even a bassinet, perfect for those who seek a multifunctional product.

Setup & Ease of Use

The setup is relatively straightforward — all the pieces lock together and come apart just as quickly. In terms of use, it’s tailored to make the experience as comfortable as possible for you, with an adjustable handle and convenient cup holder. When fully assembled, it comes in on the heavier side at 36.6 lbs.

Why We Would Not Recommend the Urbini Omni Plus Stroller

Let’s start with the manufactured plastic or EVA wheels – they just don’t work well on a full-size stroller. They’re fine on an umbrella stroller, but it makes turning and generally using the stroller an incredibly challenging task.

The ride can also be rather rough and bumpy due to the lack of a robust suspension system. We would like to have seen more focus on comfort for the baby, but this stroller will not feel like you’re pushing the stroller on a cloud – for either your baby or you.

Not as big of a deal-breaker for a stroller in this price range, but the storage on the stroller is extremely limited. The lack of an included parent console means you’ll need to spend more to purchase a separate universal parent console.

Alternative Travel System Strollers for Your Baby

While the Urbini Omni is a good budget-conscious travel system, we understand that it may not appeal to everybody for the reasons mentioned above. So, we’ve created brief reviews and listed some other options that we love which might better suit your family’s needs.

Graco Modes Travel System

This is our recommended best travel system stroller for most families. The Grace Modes is a 3-in-1 stroller that can be used as an infant stroller, toddler stroller, or as a separate infant car seat.

Graco Modes 3-in-1 Stroller

It comes with the Graco Snug Ride Snug Lock 35 which is one of the top rated infant car seats out there. The car seat can be used with infants that are between 4-35 pounds or up to 32 inches tall.

  • Price is about average for most travel strollers
  • Car seat holds up to 35 pounds and stroller is perfect for toddlers up to 50 pounds
  • One of the most popular and highly rated car seats
  • Easy to use one hand folding for parents on the go
  • Includes parent tray along with removable child’s tray and armrests

The Graco Modes is a fantastic 3-in-1 stroller that is designed to grow with your child from newborn to toddler.

Baby Jogger City Select

This is the best convertible stroller designed for families with more than one baby, as it transforms into a double stroller, a triple stroller with a glider, and a travel system. If you’re considering another child in the future, this is a great investment.

Baby Jogger City Select Stroller

It starts as a double and features over 16 riding combinations, which provides a personalization level no other strollers on this list can. It also features quality all-terrain wheels and a telescoping handlebar with a hand-operated parking brake.

  • One of the more expensive strollers
  • Holds up to 45 lbs
  • Requires an adapter to turn into a travel system for car seats
  • 8 in. lightweight front tires and 12 in. forever-air rear tires
  • Great for families with more than one child

The Baby Jogger City Select is designed for parents who aren’t afraid to invest a little more money into a product that can grow with their family, in addition to providing some extra comfortable perks.

Graco FastAction Fold Travel System

Famous for its fast-fold feature, Graco’s travel system can support your child up to 50 lbs. All systems come with a base and feature seats with multiple incline levels to provide maximum comfort for babies and toddlers.

Graco FastAction Stroller

It includes swiveling front wheels and an extra-large basket, typical features of all the strollers included on this list.

  • Lightweight and portable
  • Easily maneuvered
  • Easy in, easy out of cars
  • Convertible 3- and 5-point harness

As a more budget-friendly stroller, the Graco FastAction Fold Travel System is for families seeking the convenience of a high-quality travel system without spending too much of their money to do so.

Britax B-Agile B-Safe 35 Travel System

Perhaps the coolest feature of Britax’s system is that it features an integrated parking brake, one of those convenient little pieces to have that you wouldn’t usually think of.

Britax B-Agile B-Safe 35 Stroller

It features all-wheel suspension and a “click and go” system that allows for easy transfer from car seat to stroller to house, in addition to multiple recline positions. It also features an extra-large storage compartment, which slightly edges out that of the Urbini.

  • Much more expensive than Urbini Omni Plus
  • One hand quick fold feature
  • Auto level indicators
  • Spring-inclined assist

Those interested in a more refined, sleeker-looking stroller should check out Britax’s travel system .

The Urbini Omni Plus 3-in-1 Travel System is low cost and designed for parents with more than one child who are seeking more convenience and ease throughout their day. The system provides smooth transitions from car to stroller to the house.

It includes storage for the bare necessities a child will need (and extra perks that parents like, such as easy-access cupholders and an adjustable handlebar). If you’re looking for a cheap stroller that provides plenty of convenience, the Urbini Omni Plus is the solution for you and your family.

However, there are better quality strollers out there in a similar price range like the Graco FastAction Fold Travel System . If you’re willing to spend a little more, we highly recommend the Graco Modes Travel System or the Baby Jogger City Select if it fits your budget.

Experienced Mommy

Urbini Omni Plus Travel System – An In-Depth Review

Baby and mama sitting outdoors in grass by flowering bush

Travel systems are one of the greatest inventions for parents. They make it SO easy to transfer your child from the car to the stroller and vice versa when you’re out running errands. In my experience, my newborn son would fall asleep during almost every car ride, so I was so thankful that I could just click his whole car seat out of the car and place it into the stroller without waking him!

The Urbini Omni Plus Travel System  is popular because it is affordable, yet comes with features that typically are only found on higher-end strollers. It is a multi-modal stroller and has a lot of adjustability for the parent pushing it.

Because of problems with the wheels and fabric, I do not recommend the Urbini Omni. There are better options available like the Graco FastAction as you will see in this article and full reviews of all the best travel systems .

What is a travel system?

Travel systems come with a stroller, a car seat, and a car seat base that is installed in your car, sometimes called a “combo”. The car seat can be clicked onto the stroller to be used as one system.

The neat thing about travel systems is that you can easily transfer your infant from the car to the stroller without having to take them out of their car seat. This is awesome when your child falls asleep in the car and you arrive at your destination. You just click them out of the car, click them into the stroller, and you’re good to go.

Probably the only downfall of travel systems is , unfortunately, the infant seats that they come with will only last you until around your child’s first birthday, so you will end up spending money on another car seat in a short amount of time. I think it’s worth it for the flexibility they offer, but if you’re on a tight budget, look into convertible seats that are good for newborns!

Urbini Omni Plus Travel System

Basic features.

  • This is pretty standard for rear-facing infant seats. The 4 pound minimum ensures it can fit almost any newborn, even preemies!
  • The height and weight limit of this car seat should get you to your child’s first birthday, when you’ll want to start looking into convertible seats!
  • This insert is great for newborns – it helps cradle them to provide head support until they gain some of their own!
  • This maximum stroller weight is pretty standard among travel systems strollers.
  • A must on strollers, in my opinion. Keeps your little one safe and snug.

Additional Features

Stroller can convert to bassinet.

This is a feature you won’t find on many strollers in the lower price ranges. This allows you to lay your infant flat in the stroller if they are sleeping. This is also a useful feature for on-the-go diaper changes. It can be challenging sometimes to find a flat, safe spot to change your child’s diaper. But if you’re ok with doing it in the stroller (which I certainly am), it’s nice to be able to lay your child completely flat!

Stroller seat can be forward or backward

This is a feature that you won’t get on all strollers. A lot of travel systems just have the option to have your child rear facing when using the car seat with the stroller, and then once they are big enough to sit in just the stroller, they’ll sit forward-facing. I like that the Urbini Omni has this feature because it gives you more adjustability based on how you’re walking against the sun, what you’re using the stroller for, etc.

Adjustable handle

If you have read any of my other reviews, you know I love adjustability! Most lower priced strollers don’t have this feature, so among all of the other features, this is a big one for me. Pushing a stroller that is too short for you becomes tedious very quickly. Being able to adjust the handlebar allows for taller parents to be more comfortable.

Concerns with the Urbini Omni

Rough fabric.

You want your newborn to be embraced by only the softest of materials. Unfortunately, the Urbini Omni Plus system doesn’t have premium fabrics. This leaves the car seat feeling rough and scratchy. This is a big downfall for me, because I don’t want to put my child in something that I myself wouldn’t want to sit in.

So let’s talk wheels. When I was shopping for my son’s stroller before he was born, I would see people saying things in reviews about terrible wheels and think well, that’s just one part of the stroller, if the rest of it’s fine, it’ll be good enough. Wrong.

The wheels truly make the difference between a good stroller and a bad stroller. On the stroller that I use now, the tires are inflatable and for the longest time I was using it with the tires low on air. Boy, once I pumped those tires up, it made all the difference! Suddenly I could more easily make turns, and it was ten times easier to push.

The reason I mention this is because the wheels on the Omni Plus stroller are just not good enough. After just a few months of use, they get stuck and have trouble turning , making it next to impossible to maneuver the stroller around. This isn’t just a minor issue. Without good-working wheels, you’re not going to want to use the stroller. While this travel system is an affordable and aesthetically pleasing option, it’s just not going to last you long enough. Therefore, despite the fun features, the Urbini Omni Plus is not a good travel system  in my opinion.

Better Options

Graco fastaction fold.

Graco FastAction Fold Jogger Travel System | Includes the FastAction Fold Jogging Stroller and SnugRide 35 Infant Car Seat, Gotham

The Graco FastAction Fold . I’m a huge fan of Graco strollers, because they are affordable, yet they last a long time . They aren’t as convenient as, say, the BOB (which come jam-packed with every feature you could think of!), but they do what they need to do.

Additionally, the Graco Click Connect car seats are very safe, and easy to use.

Image of the Graco Fastaction Fold Jogger Click Connect Baby Travel System, Gotham

The Graco FastAction Fold line of travel systems has a variety of options, no matter what your budget is. The Graco FastAction Fold Click Connect Travel System is their base model, but if you want more features, you can check out the rest of their line, including the Sport , which features a jogging stroller and more storage space.

At around  22 pounds , these strollers are fairly heavy, and while they fold easily, they don’t fold as flat as higher end strollers. If you have a small car, you may want to look into more compact strollers. However, the Graco FastAction line are among the lightest strollers within this price range.

Britax B-Lively Flexfit Travel System

Britax B-Lively & B-Safe Gen2 Flexfit Travel System, Twilight SafeWash

It is hard to go wrong with the Britax B-Lively Flexfit Travel System because of the high quality of both the stroller and the car seat and also the safety features of the car seat.

What makes these options better?

The Graco FastAction strollers aren’t as adjustable or multi-functional, but they are built to last. The wheels are quality, and won’t lock up on you after just a few months of use. Plus, the fabric is soft and durable. When it comes down to it, you’re not going to care about all the bells and whistles if your stroller can’t be pushed easily or leaves your child feeling uncomfortable.

Still looking for more options?

Check out this review of the best travels systems of 2018, which features a variety of options, no matter what your budget is.

My Recommendation

As with most things in life, when it comes to the Urbini Omni Plus Travel System , you get what you pay for. It has neat features that you usually have to pay top dollar for, but when it comes down to it, it just isn’t great quality. Honestly, I would rather pay extra upfront on a higher quality stroller than to have to purchase a new stroller down the line because the Urbini Omni Plus got too frustrating to use.

If you’re looking for a travel system in the same price range of the Urbini Omni Plus, check out the Graco FastAction Fold Click Connect . It doesn’t have as many features as the Omni Plus, but it is a quality stroller that will outlast the Omni Plus big time. So while you may not get all the features you want, you’ll have a dependable stroller that you can use for years to come!

FAQ’s About Urbini Omni Travel Systems

Does urbini make a good car seat.

The car seat is well reviewed, but the stroller is not, due primarily to quality issues and problems with the wheels.

Who makes Urbini?

Goodbaby International makes both the Evenflo and Urbini Travel Systems.

Which is the better travel system? Evenflo or Urbini?

The two are very similar, and similarly rated by consumers. Moms seem to prefer the fabric of the Evenflo Pivot travel system.

Which travel system does ExperiencedMommy recommend?

Each of the following three travel systems comes highly recommended by ExperiencedMommy. ● Graco Fastaction Fold Jogger Travel System ● Baby Trend Expedition LX Travel System ● UPPAbaby Vista + Mesa Travel System

When can a baby sit in a stroller without the car seat?

When your baby sits independently, he or she no longer needs the added support of the infant car seat for strolling. For most babies this milestone is reached at around six months.

Should I get a travel system, or a convertible car seat and stroller?

This is a personal choice. A baby will grow out of an infant car seat, which might make a convertible car seat the more economical decision. On the other hand, some parents have felt that their convertible car seat is not appropriate (comfortable, even safe) for their newborn.

Too, many prefer the convenience of moving the sleeping baby from car to stroller (or stroller to car) without having to switch seats.

Urbini Omni 3-in-1 travel system: modern, versatile, affordable

Posted by Nicole O. | kids , Reviews

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for  Urbini . I received a product sample to facilitate my review and as a thank you for participating.

I purchased and received my Urbini Omni 3-in-1 Travel System stroller on Walmart.com  for our third baby as the stroller we used for my previous two children was worn out. It was very easy to assemble; I had it together all by myself within minutes of receiving it. I chose the Peacock blue color which is vibrant and modern.

The only all-in-one stroller you’ll ever need!

This all-in-one stroller offers a variety of options with its numerous capabilities. It accommodates newborn babies all the way through toddlers. You will never need another stroller! Babies can lay comfortably in the detachable Petal Infant Car Seat or stay cozy in the built-in bassinet. Toddlers can ride forward or parent facing in the convertible stroller seat. The car seat and the bassinet are very easy to interchange and snap on and off. The stroller frame is also very easy to fold up and down.

urbini

I really like the bassinet feature. My newborn daughter rides very comfortably in it. This summer we have been to the zoo, an amusement park, a family reunion and parades. The bassinet allows her to sleep while on the go. It also has a very large canopy that keeps her shaded in the hot sun. The bassinet can be used forward or rear facing. I use the forward facing option the most, because I like to be able to see her while we are walking.

A safe, comfortable, easy car seat

The Urbini Omni 3-in1 Travel System includes the Petal 35 pound Infant Car Seat. My daughter was born premature, and when she left the hospital she was barely four pounds. I had trouble finding a car seat that would accommodate her small size. This car seat is for infants from 4 – 35 pounds, and also has a removable preemie insert.  The straps are very easy to adjust the height, as well as making looser for putting her in the seat.

urbini 2

The base is very easy to install into my vehicle and has a 2-position base recline foot and level indicator to help confirm that the car seat is installed at the correct level. It has an easy to use, built-in lock off that helps secure a tight installation of the car seat base to the car. It is very easy to snap the car seat into the base, and get it out.

urbini base

The infant car seat is super light, weighing less than 8 lbs. The Infant Car Seat was rigorously crash and side-impact tested and has deep sidewalls lined with an extended layer of energy-absorbing foam.  This is one of the best and easiest car seats I’ve owned and used. The petal insert keeps my infant daughter’s head in a comfortable position.

urbini seat

Other things that are great about the Omni 3-in-1 Travel System:

  • Bright and modern colors
  • Smooth ride
  • Adjustable handle height
  • Easy fold down
  • Frame is very light weight and portable when folded down
  • Large canopy on bassinet
  • Accommodates newborn to toddler
  • Medium size basket underneath stroller

One thing that wasn’t ideal for me was that I don’t like that you can’t use the car seat and bassinet option together. With my old stroller the car seat clicked right onto the stroller part, so you always had both parts with you. With this travel system, you have to decide which part you want to connect. Overall it’s not a big deal because we always have the car seat when we’re traveling, so we can easily switch between the two.

Another thing about the stroller is that there is no cup holder or tray on the handle. I did find a strap on cup holder and organizer that works well on this stroller, so overall I am very happy with it and would recommend the Omni 3-in-1 Travel System. In my opinion this is the best travel system available.

Be sure to follow Urbini on Facebook and Twitter  to learn more about this great baby stroller !

Introducing the Urbini Omni 3-in-1 Travel System

This post contains editorial samples and/or affiliate links to products I recommend. While this adds no additional cost to you, I will earn a small commission on any sales made.

Disclosure: “I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Urbini. I received a product sample to facilitate my review and as a thank you for participating.”

Urbini is no stranger when it comes to car seats, strollers, activity centers and toys. Their parent company, Aria Child Inc. has manufactured award winning products over the past 25 years.

(You can find more buzz on their products on the Urbini Facebook page and on the Urbini Twitter stream )

And now you can find Urbini’s car seats and strollers in your local Walmart and Babies R Us stores.

With both my 8 year old and 4 year old in school, the need to find an affordable travel system has been on top of my list.

The system had to be affordable, comfortable for baby and easy to transport in and out of my car.

The Urbini Omni 3 in 1 Travel System couldn’t have arrived at a better time to test out!

Urbini Omni 3-in-1 Travel System - Walmart.com

At a price point of $199 on the Walmart site, this travel system can work in several ways. You can have a stand alone car seat, stand alone bassinet, a car seat carrier, a bassinet stroller and eventually have the bassinet adjusted to have a toddler stroller!

Introducing the Urbini Omni 3-in-1 Travel System

The system is available in six non-run of the mill block colors. I picked viola for ours and love the choice, if I might say so myself!

In terms of set up, I had no problems fixing the car seat /bassinet onto the stroller stand or taking it in and out of the car . It did take a little while to figure out the canopy and adjust the seat straps though. Everything else was quick to set up.

( I have to add here that you do need to ensure you place the car seat in the sockets perfectly else the seat will wobble, making this unsafe for baby. )

The bassinet was great to use during soccer practices when our little one dozed off and the canopy provided her with some shade but we draped a light swaddle cloth over the canopy for more.

Introducing the Urbini Omni 3-in-1 Travel System (3)

The car seat, with a 5 point harness, is great for a baby between the weight of 4 lbs-35 lbs and a height of 35″. The seat is not very roomy but not a tight squeeze either.

I’m yet to figure out how to clean the seat liner as we did get a few stains on the grey lining. There should be a way to get the cover off to wash but I’ve not figured it out yet. ( Insert sad panda face here!)

Introducing the Urbini Omni 3-in-1 Travel System (2)

The stroller base is light-weight and quick to set up and fold. The handle adjusts to different heights and the storage basket below can hold quite a bit if place the bassinet on the stand and a little less when you have the car seat on top.

Our recent trip to the outlets showed us how handy it was to have the stroller on hand as my sister had quite a bit of shopping to do. Sure we took baby out of her little throne for a while and made way for all the bags comfortably!

Introducing the Urbini Omni 3-in-1 Travel System (1)

Check out my initial review for the Omni Travel System on Walmart.com.

What do you like about the Urbini Omni 3-in-1 Travel System?

Marina is a grateful, South Texas-based mom of two daughters and a son (an 18-year-old, 13-year-old and 10-year-old). Her husband, of 22 years, is her best friend and biggest cheerleader. The family loves soccer, basketball, their sweet rescue pup Jingle, good food and traveling!

What tides her through each day? A hot cup of cardamom chai, God's Faithfulness and Philippians 4:13!

What an awesome stroller. I love the color.

This looks like a fantastic stroller system! We have three strollers – and none are as versatile as this. I love the bassinet, too. That would have been perfect when my boy was tiny.

I love the color of this system. It’s perfect for little girls – as long as it’s safe, it’s all good.

I can’t wait to review the jogger – it isn’t even on the website yet! I write for this company’s blog, too. They are awesome!

This looks really nice,I love the color.

No more babies for me *knocks on wood* but I love that color it pops very nice. It holds a lot to which is great for those days I go to outlets and shop til I drop

Wow, it really did fit a lot of shopping bags inside there. I love the color you chose and that canopy is a really nice addition.

Looks like a great travel system. I LOVE the color of it!

Wow I love this. I need one for the new great grandbaby.

What a great looking travel system. I love the bassinet of it. It’s really nice.

I love the color of this stroller. Bag carries doesn’t hurt either 😉

Seriously- where was this when my kids were carrier age? I loved my Chicco- but this is super cute AND safe!

That travel system looks so convenient. I wish they had a carrier/stroller that was so easy to use when my kids were younger. I will have to pass this on to my friends with little ones.

This Urbini Omni 3-In-1 looks great. I wish I’d had something like this when my son was a baby. I had to use a separate contraption for each of these situations. Clunky is an understatement.

That looks like a great system! We didn’t have a car until our son was 1 year old so we never bought a whole system.

I wish I had something like this when my son was a baby especially since I was a walker and didn’t have a car.

That’s a fancy stroller and looks super comfy and handy. Strollers weren’t like that when my girls were little!

This Urbini travel system looks like a great, sturdy one! I love the color of it! Very stylish.

Wow that looks awesome. I wish it would have been around when I had babies 🙂

How great to have all three in one! When my daughter was a baby, I used to love buying anything that doubled as something else! It always made things so much easier!

I would have loved this when my kids were smaller. This is a really nice system!

what an awesome travel system, strollers have come so far since the last time I shopped for one!

Oh how that would have been a great product to have back in the day for my kiddos. Thanks for sharing it, I wonder if some of my friends may want to look into this. Have a beautiful day!

I love the looks of that stroller. My girls are too big for strollers now, but I would choose one like that for sure!

I really love the look of that stroller!! I think my daughter would be super comfy in that, and it would be great for me to use.

Oh mt goodness, I love that! It’s so pretty too!

That is way too cute!! I love that it serves multiple purposes, and the color is great!

I love the color you picked. It seems like a durable stroller.

That travel system really does have it all. I would have loved one when my girls were younger!

What a great travel system. I would have loved one of these when my kids were small. I will share this with a few friends that have young ones.

I love the removable bassinet option! And that color is fun!

I love the colour of yours. That would have been my first choice as well.

I especially love that it is so versatile!

What a great looking stroller. I love the removable basket!

LOve that color and it holds so much!

For years I have said what a waist travel systems are because the strollers usually suck! This is amazing!! I would totally use this!

This stroller looks very nice. I like that it can grow and be more than just one type of vehicle for the baby.

{REVIEW} Urbini Avi Jogger Travel System

urbini travel system blue

13 comments:

Does the car seat snap into the jogger?

Yes it does!

Thanks! Do you know if it has to be purchased as a travel system or can the jogger and infant petal car seat be purchased independently and still snap together?

They can be purchased independently, but you have to make sure you purchase the infant Petal Car Seat that is specific to the Avi Jogger. Urbinibaby.com states, "Please note that the Omni Travel System and the Touri Travel System each come with their own specially designed version of the Petal Infant Car Seat. These car seats are NOT interchangeable." The Avi Jogger and correct Infant Petal car seat are on Walmart.com as a bundle for $199.

How much would you say the jogger stroller weighs?

According to the Tech Specs on Urbinibaby.com, it is 22.38lbs. http://urbinibaby.com/product/avi/ (click on Tec Specs near the bottom of the page)

Looks amazing! I had a four-wheeled double stroller and I loved its maneuverability compared to our 3-wheeled jogging stroller. Love the sustainable materials.

Water slide game is not just for kids. it's also for the any kind of people who loves to play and like to spend their life by enjoying. Just play this game and lead a hassle free life.

Great review, it sounds fab for wheeling our little babes around in. We're considering a new one, that fits neatly into our boot just like this one!

Parents always want the very best for their babies. We are all aware that there are several companies who make strollers. For over 25 years now, The Baby Jogger Company, has been making very dependable and secure strollers with many features for convenience.

Ah, I want I actually have one thing like this once my thereforen was baby! they appear so impressive and pretty too :D

The not-so-good news is that carriages are pretty big, cumbersome and not overly maneuverable. best stroller

Meet the Urbini Turni All-in-1 Stroller

With this travel system, which combines the Sonti infant seat and the Turni stroller, newborns can ride in their car seats facing their parents. When you’re in a rush, you may easily flip the seat to face towards you without removing the stroller seat.

Value for Money

The Turni is affordable at approximately $122. Kindly note that it’s not available on Amazon.

It functions well by just squeezing the handle to instantly switch from carriage mode to rear-facing! While children can learn and explore the environment around them when facing forward, being parents-facing can support the relationship between the two.

The Urbini Sonti Infant Car Seat for kids weighing four to 35 pounds is included with the Turni.

What parents say

“I suggest investing more money on something better. There is no cushion on the car seat. The stroller’s front wheels lock, making turning it challenging or nearly impossible. I don’t even want to use it. I must purchase a new stroller.” – J. January 15, 2019, 2 stars

“I appreciate how simple it is to put up this stroller and car seat. It helps a lot because I’m expecting a baby girl next week. It’s well worth the money.” – M. May 14, 2016, 4 stars

“Only time will tell. Although it is lightweight, the material is not in any way unattractive. This thing has my heart. Buy it. It’s a lot for not much money.” – N. June 19, 2018, 5 stars

Ease of Use

Everything about the Turni fits together seamlessly, and the instructions for switching between the various seating positions are excellent. Both setting it up and using it are simple.

Even though it’s convenient to transition from rear to forward-facing without having to remove the seat, you still need to remove your child from the seat since the seat flips around when a handle is turned, thus your child cannot remain inside while that occurs.

“The stroller’s one flaw is that the front wheels lock while in use, making it annoying to constantly adjust them so that they will swivel.” – V. September 6, 2016, 3 stars

“Assembly took a little longer than expected, but it’s okay. This stroller/car seat combo package is the best.” – D. October 5, 2016, 4 stars

“I’ve given it four stars because of the unusual way it needs to be assembled. I didn’t mind clipping together some of the bigger pieces, but the stroller’s wheels needed to be put together by adding a pin to attach it.” – P. February 13, 2016, 4 stars

Portability

Since it is lightweight, getting the Urbini Turni in and out of your car is simple. It effortlessly clicks together and collapses with just the push of a button. It’s even compact enough to stow in your closet beneath the stairs, which makes taking walks with it so much simpler.

“The car seat easily and safely locks onto the base. This stroller nicely fits in my Ford Focus. I like how easily the stroller rolls and how the seat can be turned around. The color is the only thing that is wrong.” – C. April 1, 2016, 5 stars

“The car seat can be placed on top of the stroller in this model because it is lightweight. Everything was really basic, so assembling it was simple.” – S. February 14, 2016, 5 stars

“The base is included and the car seat is quite light! A cup holder is included as well. Its wheels also easily swivel and lock.” – D. December 12, 2017, 5 stars

Maneuverability

It’s simple to move about with the Urbini Turni. It is simpler to drive around parks, shops, and other tight locations when the front wheels are locked into place, but you can also have them swivel.

“It comes down to adaptability, maneuverability, and simplicity! And I desired all of it in one. This stroller offers all of that and more!” – D. December 12, 2017, 5 stars

urbini travel system blue

Parent Tip!

The Urbini Turni’s front wheels can be sticky and difficult to handle at times.

What parents say on Safety and Quality

“At first, I loved it, but now I’m quite disappointed. One of the stroller’s wheels won’t turn after the first time of use. I must move it around. It makes me really sad.” – K. May 17, 2019

“After five months, it broke while attempting to climb a sidewalk. I’m so disappointed about that. I now need to get a new stroller.” – A. March 6, 2018, 2 stars

“It’s not difficult to pull the strap to fold it, but two hands make it easier. Once folded, it falls over and I can’t get it to stand up.” – N. June 19, 2018, 5 stars

Accessorize Your Urbini Turni Travel System

The Urbini Turni can accommodate older babies who no longer require an infant seat, thanks to the addition of the child tray. While on the move, you may feed your child snacks with help from the cup holder and tiny tray. For younger newborns, however, there is also a movable footrest that transforms the stroller into a bassinet-like position.

“Although I probably didn’t know how to attach it properly, the cup holder that comes with a stroller seems to fit a little loosely. I’ll continue to experiment with it.” – P. March 13, 2016, 4 stars

“The stroller, infant car seat, and car seat base are all included in the set. The stroller’s wheels, chest bar, and cup holders are the only components that need to be attached; it took me around 10 minutes to complete everything.” – S. February 13, 2016, 4 stars

“One hand can simply fold this stroller. The child’s tray is detachable and contains a little snack pocket and a cup holder.” – B. January 27, 2016, 5 stars

Should You Consider the Urbini Turni 3-in-1 Stroller for Your Family?

All things considered, the Urbini Turni Travel System is not just everything a family could ever want or need in a travel system – it’s also the simplest stroller-car seat combination available. Your family’s strolling needs are met, and it has a nice appearance too. :c)
