Taylor Swift Adds 9 Dates to Reputation Tour Due To Popular Demand

Taylor Swift doubles up on stops to six US arenas, and adds three dates in UK and Ireland.

By Allison Stubblebine

Allison Stubblebine

The Swifties asked for it, and Taylor gave it to them: nine more dates have been added to the  Reputation  Tour  due to overwhelming demand. Now, Swift will play three dates in the UK and Ireland, as well as an additional six dates across the United States.

The Taylor Swift Tix portal closed up shop through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program, though, so fans looking to snag tickets to these dates — or any others, had they not registered in time — will have to wait until Dec. 13, Swift’s birthday, when ticket sales open to the public. The singer explained the additions and ticket sale options in a Facebook post, noting that the six new U.S. dates are actually additional shows for some of the most popular venues. There’s plenty of time between tour stops, though, so there’s still a possibility for Swift to add more dates in the future.

New Year's Songs: 16 Tracks To Give You A Fresh Start In 2024, From The Beatles To Taylor Swift

Whether you're looking to vibe with J Balvin or roar with Katy Perry, let these tracks welcome you to a prosperous and hopeful new year.

The beginning of a new year often results in moments of reflection as well as anticipation about what lies ahead. And with the myriad of feelings that ensue upon New Year's Eve, music serves as a powerful source for both introspection and inspiration.

There are countless songs that give listeners a chance to reflect and resonate with the possibilities of what's yet to come. Whether it's the pulsingly hopeful beat of Jamie xx's "I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)," the inspiring narrative of The Notorious B.I.G 's "Juicy," or Elton John's pumped-up "I'm Still Standing," a good soundtrack is the perfect catalyst for starting a new year on the right note.

As you envision what the coming year has in store, enjoy this playlist from GRAMMY.com — curated not just to celebrate the moment the clock strikes 12, but to infuse the coming year with inspiration and cheer.

79.5 — "B.D.F.Q"

Inspired by singer Kate Mattison's experiences in Detroit, 79,5's "B.D.F.Q." is about perseverance in the face of a music industry marred by misogyny. Short for "B—, Don't F—ing Quit," "B.D.F.Q." amplifies a mood of independence and strength with the declaration, "They! Don't mean a thing/ Don't mean a thing, just do your thing!" While the message is timeless, "B.D.F.Q." will certainly amp you up for any challenges the new year presents.

The Beatles — "Here Comes The Sun"

Whether you spin the 1969 original or the reinvigorated 2019 mix, the Beatles ' "Here Comes The Sun,"  remains a classic symbol of continuation and hope. A track from the Fab Four's iconic Abbey Road album, this George Harrison composition is celebrated for its uplifting melody and serene lyrics that playfully describe a new dawn and brighter days ahead.

Elton John — "I'm Still Standing"

Elton John delivered an upbeat ode to durability and the ability to bounce back with "I'm Still Standing," a 1983 track that resonates 40 years on. Between its catchy melody and John's energetic performance (particularly in the beach-set music video), the song conveys a triumphant message about overcoming challenges and emerging stronger.

"Hamilton" — "My Shot"

Of the many dynamic numbers in Lin-Manuel Miranda 's renowned musical "Hamilton," "My Shot" is arguably the most inspirational and universal. A powerfully charged manifesto that embodies ambition and determination — delivered with an electrifying blend of hip-hop and theatrical flair — "My Shot" celebrates seizing opportunities and making a mark. It's a welcome New Year's song choice for those compelled to channel their inner strength and embrace new challenges in the year ahead.

J Balvin — "6 AM" feat. Farruko

This vibrant reggaeton track from J Balvin 's 2013 album La Familia encapsulates the spirit of spontaneity. Its infectious beat and catchy lyrics manifest as a celebration of lively nights and the adventures that unfold in the early after hours — hence, the 6 a.m. title. This one's for the night owls, who may see the sun rise at the turn of the new year.

Jamie xx — "I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)" feat. Young Thug, Popcaan

"I Know There's Gonna Be (Good Times)" by Jamie xx is as upbeat and optimistic as hip-hop tracks come. Featuring Young Thug and Popcaan , the 2015 track melds elements of dance and reggae for an infectious ode to good times ahead — an enduring NYE sentiment.

Jimmy Chamberlin Complex — "Life Begins Again"

The title track of their 2005 album, "Life Begins Again"  is an intricate and evocative composition that blends elements of jazz and rock with a bit of emo sentiment. The track showcases Jimmy Chamberlin 's exceptional drumming prowess while promising that life is cyclical — every day can be the first of your life with the right attitude.

John Lennon — "Just Like Starting Over"

With themes of rekindling love and starting anew, John Lennon 's "[Just Like] Starting Over" is a fitting tribute to fresh starts and the enduring power of renewal in all aspects of life. And as the final single released while he was alive, it's a bittersweet testament to Lennon's enduring legacy.

Katy Perry — "Roar"

Katy Perry' s "Roar," from her 2013 album Prism , is a proud declaration of self-empowerment and finding one's voice. An electrifying track with a booming chorus and spirited lyrics, it embodies the journey from silence to strength. Its message of embracing one's true self and speaking out makes it an inspiring celebration of new beginnings.

Lisa LeBlanc — "Pourquoi faire aujourd'hui"

For those looking to give themselves a little break as the new year begins, Lisa LeBlanc's "Pourquoi faire aujourd'hui" may be the song for you. A single from her 2021 album Chiac Disco, the energetic, disco-inspired French language track features playful lyrics about procrastination, with its titular line asking, "Why do today what you could do tomorrow?" — starting the year off in laid-back fashion. If tu ne parles pas Français , LeBlanc's catchy dance beats are fuel for a joyful New Year's Eve atmosphere.

Lizzo — "Good As Hell"

Like many of Lizzo 's songs, "Good as Hell" captures a vibrant, empowering spirit. It celebrates self-care and resilience in the face of adversity, blending a lively rhythm with Lizzo's dynamic vocals. Its uplifting lyrics and infectious energy encourage a sense of confidence and self-appreciation — a powerful anthem of positivity any time of the year.

Nina Simone — "Feeling Good"

A timeless classic first made famous by Nina Simone , "Feeling Good" is a powerful anthem of rejuvenation and hope. Simone's jazz-infused rendition was released in 1965; its resolute delivery captures a spirit of personal transformation and empowerment, offering an enduring sentiment going into the new year: "It's a new dawn/ It's a new day/ It's a new life for me, ooh/ And I'm feeling good."

Notorious B.I.G. — "Juicy"

Although The Notorious B.I.G.'s "Juicy" is a personal account of the late rapper's rise to the top, the song encapsulates a spirit of triumph that can inspire anyone with a dream. From its bouncy beat to the iconic "If you don't know, now you know" hook, "Juicy" will have you reaching for the stars.

Otis Redding & Carla Thomas — "New Year's Resolution"

Memphis legends Otis Redding and Carla Thomas ' aptly titled 1967 album King & Queen is notable for being the final studio release before Redding passed away that December. The album also spawned a NYE classic: "New Year's Resolution." With lyrics that explore the concept of making resolutions and embracing change in the new year. While the song lacks Redding's trademark soulful wail, "New Year's Resolution" is temperate and contemplative — a reprieve from the let-it-all-out powerful Stax sound to ease your way into the new year.

Peter Cat Recording Co. — "Portrait of a Time"

Both modern and nostalgic, Peter Cat Recording Co.'s "Portrait of a Time" blends jazz, and indie rock for an eclectic and nostalgic, introspective jam. The song carries a reflective mood of contemplation and transition, with lyrics that encourage leaving "confusion and darkening clouds" in the past and hopping in the Lamborghini of life for a new wild ride.

Taylor Swift — "New Year's Day"

After all of the bold, empowered statements on Taylor Swift' s 2017 album reputation , she closes the LP with a tender, piano-driven ballad that captures the quiet intimacy and hopeful sentiments of a new year. Aptly titled "New Year's Day," the song's reflective and heartfelt lyrics contemplate love and loyalty found in life's fleeting moments. Swift's delicate vocal delivery and the track's gentle melody evoke a sense of warmth and enduring connection, making it a poignant choice to embrace the new year with a sense of closeness.

2023 In Review: 5 Trends That Defined Pop Music

From massive world stages to hilarious TikTok trends, pop music was all about the fun in 2023 — which led to huge hits and pop culture moments alike.

There's arguably only one way to sum up pop music in 2023: it belonged to the women.

Whether SZA or Olivia Rodrigo were revealing the cracks in their relationships through catchy hooks, or Taylor Swift was taking over stadiums around the globe, female artists dominated genre charts and trends. And even a fictional female figure helped spawn some of the year's biggest pop tracks.

It was also a big year for legends and classic hits; pop mainstays showed just why they became superstars in the first place, and TikTok helped resurface some pop songs of old.

Below, take a deeper dive into some of 2023's biggest moments in pop.

Ex-Lovers Were Called Out

Nothing burns more than a woman scorned. This year, pop stars and rising artists were both shameless in calling out their exes for their wrongdoings.

One of the biggest moments came courtesy of SZA. The artist is known for wearing her heart on her sleeve, and SOS album highlight "Kill Bill" was a buffet of toxic "what if" scenarios. The singer let jealousy overcome her emotions as she couldn't stand to see her ex-lover move on: "I might kill my ex, I still love him though/ Rather be in jail than alone." On a similar note, Olivia Rodrigo's "vampire" finds the pop star tapping into a new level of fury. The lead single from her sophomore album, GUTS , "vampire" shoots bloody daggers at a manipulative boyfriend.

But it wasn't all about vengeance. In Miley Cyrus ' case, her best form of revenge came in the form of forgiveness. Her "Flowers" anthem was thought to be inspired by Cyrus' divorce from Liam Hemsworth, but its messaging is relatable to anyone who had to learn how to move on from a broken heart. "I can take myself dancing and I can hold my own hand/ I can love me better than you can," Cyrus assures.

All three singles topped the Billboard Hot 100 this year, marking SZA's first solo No. 1, Cyrus' first in a decade and Rodrigo's first from her new album era. The singles also all earned 2024 GRAMMY nominations for both Song Of The Year (alongside Billie Eilish 's "What Was I Made For?", Dua Lipa 's "Dance the Night", Jon Batiste 's "Butterfly", Lana Del Rey 's "A&W" and Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero") and Record Of The Year (next to Billie Eilish's What Was I Made For?", Boygenius' "Not Strong Enough", Jon Batiste's "Worship", Taylor Swift's "Anti-Hero" and Victoria Monét' s "On My Mama").

Rising stars also joined in on the fun. After Tate McRae scored her biggest hit to date with the playful “greedy,” she delivered a fiery kiss-off anthem with “exes.” Elsewhere, Benee called her ex a "waste of f—king time" on the rowdy "Green Honda," British singer Mae Stephens contemplated all of her options on "If We Ever Broke Up," RAYE brooded over "dumb decisions" and booze on "Escapism," and Los Angeles alt-pop singer Leah Kate 's jam-packed her debut album Super Over with advice on cutting off toxic relationships .

Classic Songs Made A TikTok Resurgence

TikTok has proved its social media dominance over the past few years. But aside from pop's new generation enjoying viral success, the genre's OGs also found their classic hits reborn.

Colbie Caillat 's "Bubbly" single warmed our hearts when it debuted in 2007, and in true Gen Z fashion, it reemerged thanks to a meme trend. TikTok users placed the song over high-energy performance videos like those of Travis Scott , Justin Bieber and Tyler, The Creator which made for a hilarious juxtaposition. Caillat kept the momentum by making TikTok duets and even sharing an acoustic version of the song on her YouTube page.

Bridgit Mendler's 2013 single "Hurricane" also got a second wind for its 10th anniversary where female users placed it over humorous self-deprecating videos about being delusional over men. Jessie J 's 2011 "Price Tag" hit sparked a dance trend with a sped-up version of the song and Lana Del Rey's "Radio" (a deep cut from 2012's Born To Die debut) inspired users to make videos that showcased how "sweet like cinnamon" their lives are.

Career-Spanning Tours Took Over The World

What better way to celebrate a decorated career than with a massive tour? Pop stars from all corners of the genre commemorated their many years (or in some cases, decades) in the music industry by going down memory lane with their fans worldwide.

The most notable trek was, of course, Taylor Swift's Eras Tour , which kicked off on March 17 and will conclude on Dec. 8, 2024. The pop star — who is arguably bigger than she's ever been, nearly 20 years into her career — used the stadium tour to pay homage to her extensive discography with a nonstop three-hour spectacle. Swift's impact quickly made history: the Eras Tour surpassed $1 billion in revenue in early December, already making it the highest-grossing music tour of all time, according to Guinness World Records. Its accompanying concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour , also became the highest-grossing concert film of all time with $250 million earned globally as of press time.

But Swift wasn't the only star celebrating their music milestones on the road. After a thrilling reunion in 2019, the Jonas Brothers continued to shock fans with what's possibly the most challenging tour of their career. Titled "Five Albums. One Night. The World Tour," the trio featured their entire discography in a set list that included over 60 songs.

Another artist who rode the ambitious train was Madonna . The pop icon's Celebration Tour was, well, a celebration of a genre-defining career spanning over four decades. Kicking off in October in London, the tour features a retrospective setlist that is a treat for diehard fans, featuring singles she hasn't performed live in decades including 1990's "Justify My Love," 1998's "Nothing Really Matters" and 2002's "Die Another Day."

On the pop-rock end, The Maine's "Sweet Sixteen Tour" highlighted the band's growth over the past 16 years through nine albums, while Boys Like Girls ' anchored their comeback after an 11-year hiatus with the North American Speaking Our Language Tour.

Movies Had Major Music Moments

While music has long been a driving force in films, this year saw the pairing excitedly take over pop culture. Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie notably had the world seeing pink, with the iconic doll infiltrating everything from fashion to real estate.

Not surprisingly, the accompanying soundtrack was a pop-filled joyride. Featuring production from pop mastermind Mark Ronson, the 17-song Barbie: The Album featured the likes of Lizzo , Charli XCX , PinkPantheress , Sam Smith , GAYLE and FIFTY FIFTY. But perhaps most notably, the album dominated the Best Song Written For Visual Media category at the 2024 GRAMMYs: Dua Lipa's disco-laced "Dance The Night," Ryan Gosling's TikTok-trending "I'm Just Ken," Ice Spice 's and Nicki Minaj 's sparkly collaboration "Barbie World," and Billie Eilish's gripping ballad "What Was I Made For?" compete with Rihanna 's Black Panther hit "Lift Me Up."

The year also called for reunions and revivals, with the biggest shock arguably belonging to NSYNC . Many fans were impatiently waiting for the boys to make a return, and they did so with "Better Place." The Trolls soundtrack highlight marked the boy band's first song after a two-decade-long music hiatus (which was accompanied by an appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards, where they presented with Best Pop Video). Under the sea, Halle Bailey refreshed a Disney classic with The Little Mermaid live-action reimagining, while the nostalgia train continued with movie musicals Wonka and Mean Girls (out in January).

Pop Titans Were Inescapable

Thanks to social media, it may seem like Gen Z artists have overthrown their elder pop counterparts. But make no mistake, the veterans are showing they aren't so easily shakeable.

This year, many preserved their legacies through various mediums. Taylor Swift wasn't the only superstar proving her staying power on the road (and in stadiums); Beyoncé 's Renaissance World Tour cemented her legendary status as the highest-grossing tour by a Black artist, while Ed Sheeran 's The Mathematics Tour broke attendance records worldwide.

Adele and Usher ruled Sin City with their Las Vegas residencies, with the latter set to perform at the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show. The pop titans even showed their dominance on television, with Kelly Clarkson (who also had a Vegas stint) and Jennifer Hudson gaining a new audience with their respective talk shows.

After a year filled with viral moments and comebacks, we're eager to see how artists will continue to uplift pop music in 2024.

Sabrina Carpenter's Big Year: The Pop Songstress Gushes On The Eras Tour, Her Christmas EP & More

Nearly 10 years into her career, Sabrina Carpenter is celebrating her biggest milestones yet. The "Feather" star details some of her most important moments of 2023.

When Sabrina Carpenter was 9 years old, she posted her first video to YouTube: a cover of Taylor Swift 's " Picture To Burn ." Fifteen years later, Carpenter isn't just a pop force to be reckoned with in her own right — she's sharing the stage with Swift.

While Carpenter certainly hasn't been a stranger to the spotlight before this year — she launched her singing career in 2014, the same year she gained recognition for her leading role in Disney Channel's "Girl Meets World" — her Eras Tour slot is indicative of the monster year she's had. Since her fifth studio album, emails i can't send , arrived in July 2022, Carpenter has continued to reach new career heights, from garnering billions of streams, to being named Variety 's Rising Star of 2023, to headlining her biggest sold-out tour yet.

"In such a weird way, I guess I've tried to do my best and be enjoying what I'm doing without being too aware of what's going on," Carpenter admits to GRAMMY.com. "The love of what I do is in the actual making of things, so I've been making so much music and writing so much over the last year. Seeing this cool, organic reaction to it is great. But in the moment, it's hard to grasp it."

In between the Argentina and Brazil Eras Tour stops in November, Carpenter topped off her banner year with another bucket list item: a Christmas project. The six-track EP fruitcake nods to one of her biggest hits to date, "Nonsense," with a revamped version aptly dubbed "A Nonsense Christmas."

Shortly after wrapping her 2023 Eras Tour run, Carpenter took GRAMMY.com on a rollicking journey through her biggest milestones of the past 12 months.

Opening For Taylor Swift On The Eras Tour

When I first found out, it was through a text and there were a lot of emojis and exclamation points. That was really how it happened; it wasn't through managers or anything. When Taylor texted me and asked if I wanted to come on tour with her, I threw my phone across the room.

It's a really surreal thing. I covered one of her songs when I was 9 years old and definitely, throughout my life, she was an artist and a songwriter and businesswoman who I've always admired. So to call her a friend and be a part of something as iconic as this tour, I still can't process it.

I'm still on the tour into next year and have been learning as much as I can along the way. I actually feel bad about how many shows I've been to because so many people want to see this show, so I feel lucky and privileged to have seen it as many times as I have!

Creating Her Latest Billboard Hot 100 Hit, "Feather"

I was actually on the phone with my producer, John Ryan, and we were laughing about it because honestly, when we made it, we were just having fun. We wanted to make this song about all the s—ty events happening in my life, because it's so much more fun to turn it into a positive than to sit in the sadness.

When we wrote it, it was me, John and one of my closest friends, the songwriter Amy Allen. We were just literally dancing around when John was playing a chord progression and a cool, feathery thing on the piano. We wrote it in two hours and the fact that it fit so perfectly on the deluxe [version of emails i can't send ] was a very kismet situation.

Getting Honored With Variety's Rising Star Of 2023

Just to be recognized by them was also surreal, because then I'm in a room with a bunch of people whose music I listen to, songs I study, and producers I love. I was just sitting there talking to them — and it's not, like, imposter syndrome, because it did feel like such an honor. It's cool to be able to do the thing I love the most, and when those things happen it's just icing on the cake. I'm very grateful for them.

Solidifying Her Status As A Songwriter

I wrote my first song when I was 10 years old and it was very bad. But it was always something that I loved doing.

When I got a little older and to a place where I got people's opinions, I was always made to feel like it wasn't my place; like I should just listen to them, be sent songs and be happy with them. But something really tricky for me is that I would actually have a real weird internal reaction singing lyrics that didn't feel honest to me, or didn't feel something I would say. I just always had a specific point of view — and I'm a Tarus, so I'm a little stubborn.

But over time, writing became a necessity for me; if I didn't write a song, I wouldn't be able to make it through these situations in life. I'm very lucky that I now get to do it all the time, but also that the people I work with who I love so much all believe in me so much.

Writing Original Christmas Music For Her New EP, fruitcake

It's been a dream of mine for a long time to make a Christmas EP. At first, the dream was to make a naughty EP and have all the songs be sexual and focus on a more risqué side of Christmas. Growing up, I always listened to naughty ones like "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" and "Santa Baby." But as I wrote the first couple songs, I had way more ideas and just wrote normal songs with Christmas lyrics, and it all became a very special project for me. It's always exciting to put new energy and life into classics and the traditions, so there's a lot of new and there's a lot of old.

I got so lucky with the lives "Nonsense" has taken on, because I don't think I could have done that with just any song of mine. The holidays fit so perfectly with what the song is about.

At first I thought it'd be fun to make a short form version of it, so I made a music video at home with my sister and a friend in my house and put on a Santa outfit. It was well-received by my fans who I love very much, and when they want something they harass me. So they harassed me to write a full version, and that's how that happened.

Meeting Her Idols

I met Paul McCartney back in March. It was at a party, which is not the environment you want to meet your biggest icon in. But he was so present, sweet and gracious with me. You know the kind of eye contact that someone makes with you and you're like, "You're a real person, I'm just not sure I believe it."

I've been so inspired by him my entire life, and I'm not sure a lot of people know that about me. I do think that sometimes when you're writing pop music, or whatever genre it is, I pull from so many different genres and Paul has always been my No. 1. As we were talking, I definitely did start crying a little bit, which is not something I do often. I'll remember it forever and I hope I can see him again.

5 Reasons Why Taylor Swift's Eras Tour Will Be The Most Legendary Of Her Generation

New Music Friday: Listen To Releases From Beyoncé, Lana Del Rey, ATEEZ & More

December begins with a blast of new music from some of music's biggest stars. Press play on five new releases Jung Kook & Usher, Tyla and others, out on Dec. 1.

While 2023 may be coming to an end, the first releases of December prove that it's far from time to wind down.

From Taylor Swift — who released "You’re Losing Me," a song originally recorded for her 2022 smash album — to Dua Lipa’s extended edit of her single "Houdini," and Lana Del Rey 's cover of "Take Me Home, Country Roads," listeners are being treated to new tracks from familiar favorites today.

But surprise releases were the theme of the day as Beyoncé dropped "MY HOUSE," a single accompanying her Renaissance concert film .

Dec. 1 also sees a bevy of reissue and archival releases , exciting new projects from artists like singer/songwriter Dove Cameron , and the second studio album from K-pop group ATEEZ .

Start off your month by listening to these tracks and albums from seven artists that will jumpstart your month.

Beyoncé - "MY HOUSE"

Queen Bey surprised fans with an early Christmas present by dropping "MY HOUSE," her first single since 2022’s Renaissance . This track was featured during the credits of her new Renaissance concert film.

Written and produced by The-Dream , this song showcases Beyoncé ’s rapping skills, as she effortlessly weaves verses over a powerful horn melody. There's a vibe check in the song's second half, where the music becomes a smooth, electronic dance groove reminiscent of Renaissance’ s ballroom vibe.

Jung Kook & Usher - "Standing Next To You (Remix)"

BTS ' pop singer Jung Kook is back with a remix to his track "Standing Next To You," this time joined by an R&B sensation. The remix features a new verse from   Usher , who adds a delicate touch to the vibrant, high-paced song.

The original track was released last month as a single on Jung Kook’s debut album, GOLDEN . This could be fans' last time hearing Jung Kook's music for a while — the "golden maknae" of BTS announced he’s enlisting for mandatory military service this month.

Tyla - "Truth or Dare"

GRAMMY-nominated Afrobeats star Tyla is closing the year with a sneak peek of her upcoming self-titled album. The hypotonic single "Truth or Dare," following the success of her GRAMMY-nominated song "Water" (the song is nominated for Best African Music Performance at the 2024 GRAMMYs alongside "Amapiano" by ASAKE & Olamide , "City Boys" by Burna Boy , Davido's "UNAVAILABLE" feat. Musa Keys , and "Rush" by Ayra Starr ).

In this new song, Tyla revisits an old flame — this time with newfound wisdom and assurance that she won’t fall for his charm anymore: "So let's play truth or dare, dare you to forget / That you used to treat me just like anyone."

Tyla announced her upcoming self-titled album on social media, captioning, "African music is going global and I’m so blessed to be one of the artists pushing the culture. I’ve been working on my sound for 2 years now and I’m so ready for the world to hear it."

Lana Del Rey - "Take Me Home, Country Roads"

After performing during "Christmas At Graceland," a televised tribute to Elvis Presley , Lana Del Rey dropped a surprise cover of John Denver ’s 1971 hit "Take Me Home, Country Roads."

This cover might not come as a shock for fans after she referenced a line from Denver’s 1972 "Rocky Mountain High" on her track "The Grants" from GRAMMY-nominated album Did You Know There’s A Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. (At the 2024 GRAMMYs, Did You Know is nominated for Album Of The Year alongside Jon Batiste 's World Music Radio , Olivia Rodrigo's Guts , Swift's Midnights , Janelle Monae's The Age Of Pleasure , SZA's SOS , Miley Cyrus' Endless Summer Vacation and the record by boygenius . Did You Know is also nominated for Best Alternative Music Album alongside The Car by Arctic Monkeys , PJ Harvey's I Inside The Old Year Dying , Gorillaz's Cracker Island and boygenius' album.)

The track features Del Rey’s signature soothing vocals, as a Western-style melody balances the instrumentation. She brings her own sultry style to this '70s country classic, while continuing to show her musical versatility.

ATEEZ - The World EP:FIN:WILL

Five years after their debut album, K-pop group ATEEZ   have returned with The World EP:FIN:WILL . The 12-track album is led by "Crazy Form," an Afrobeats/dancehall-influenced track, and also features many solo and unit tracks from the group.

Members Hong Joong and Seonghwa took the reins on "Matz," a dynamic hip-hop track, while Yeosang, San and Wooyoung collaborated for the R&B-influenced "It’s You."

During a Seoul press conference, Lead Hong Joong spoke about the group’s evolution and how fans should look forward to future releases.

"This year marks our fifth debut anniversary and so far, our greatest achievement has been establishing a strong relationship with our fans around the world. We hope to continue presenting music that can make our fans proud of us," he said.

Taylor confirmed that there will be three of them—the reason being she wants to get as close to fans as possible.

Taylor Swift has announced the North American dates for her Reputation world tour in 2018. The singer’s sixth album Reputation was released last Friday, 10 November, and her only live dates scheduled for this year will be two headlining sets on the Jingle Ball tour dates in Los Angeles and New York City.

Your Complete Album Guide To Taylor Swift’s 'Reputation'

It’s November, which means Taylor Swift season is finally in full swing. Are you ready for it?

The now-enigmatic pop star’s sixth album, Reputation , slithers its way into the world on November 10, more than three years after 1989 . It's her longest gap between albums, and the world is wondering: What has she been up to all this time, besides cunningly dodging paparazzi and not doing interviews? It’s hard to tell — Reputation is one of the winter’s most fiercely guarded secrets... and therefore one of the most hotly anticipated ones.

Ahead of its release, here’s everything we know about Reputation so far, from the music to the tour to the potential features.

Taylor re-teamed with some of her most trusted collaborators.

The 15-track album’s lead single, “ Look What You Made Me Do ,” arrived on August 24, introducing us to a vengeful, new-and-improved Taylor. Its moody, electro-pop bite is courtesy of Jack Antonoff , who produced three tracks on 1989 , as well as last year’s Zayn/Taylor collab, “ I Don’t Wanna Live Forever .” Reputation ’s other two singles, “ ...Ready For It? ” and “ Gorgeous ,” were produced by Max Martin and Shellback, the hit-making team behind, well, a ton of pop smashes, including Taylor’s own “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space,” and “22.”

But you can count on her to switch up her sound.

Working with the same people doesn’t mean Taylor’s not pushing herself sonically. In fact, she’s never made the same album twice, and judging by Reputation ’s first three singles, she’s digging deeper and going darker this time around.

She has a clean slate and a new look.

Just before releasing “Look What You Made Me Do,” Taylor deleted her entire Twitter and Instagram histories, even removing her avatar on both platforms. When she finally resurfaced, it was to debut the black-and-white Reputation artwork, which shows her staring at the camera through newspaper headlines spelling her name. Her lips are painted black, her hair’s slicked back, and she’s wearing a sweatshirt that eagle-eyed fans noticed has a tear with five peaks: one for each of her albums thus far. In subsequent posts, Taylor’s looked a little grungier and much less sparkly than her pristine 1989 era. R.I.P. Old Taylor.

She has a new relationship (and two old ones) to talk about.

Since 1989 , Taylor’s dated three men: Calvin Harris, Tom Hiddleston, and Joe Alwyn, her current flame. Just because she now seems to be in a happy relationship, does that mean she’ll keep her silence about the first two? Don’t count on it — silence isn’t her style, and the tea about those two exes is still ripe for sipping.

Reputation comes with two special-edition magazines.

Swifties, it’s time to switch your allegiance from Walmart to Target if you haven’t already. That’s because Target will release exclusive editions of Reputation with two 72-page magazines (Volume 1 and Volume 2). According to the retail giant’s website , “you will find a variety of art created and curated by Taylor herself including her music, her paintings, her handwritten lyrics and more.”

It could possibly, potentially, feature Drake . Or Ed Sheeran .

Taylor and Drake are both Apple Music artists, and they lip-synced each other’s music in self-deprecating commercials last year. A collaboration seems possible, and after the two partied together last winter , Page Six reported that they also hit the studio together: something British tabloids insist is part of Tay’s plan to deliver “ a real mix of edgier hip-hop and R&B sounds .” Intriguing.

Elsewhere on the rumor front, Ed Sheeran told E! News that he and Taylor were “definitely” going to release another collaboration at some point. Taylor added fuel to the fire when Chinese characters spelling “Eddie” appeared in her recent “...Ready For It?” music video.

She’s previewed the album at intimate “Secret Sessions.”

In keeping with tradition, Taylor’s hosted “Secret Sessions” in select cities around the world, beginning in London on October 13. Several fans, hand-picked by Taylor and her Taylor Nation team, were on hand to hear the album in full and take cute photos with Tay, who swore them to secrecy. Even so, those lucky fans have been able to give vague (but still welcome!) hints at what’s to come — according to one guest , Reputation is “sexy, shady, a nighttime album, more emotionally complex than 1989 , and better than Red .”

Her music videos are still top-notch.

So far, we’ve seen two Reputation visuals, both helmed by Swift’s go-to director Joseph Kahn. The first, “ Look What You Made Me Do ,” premiered during the VMAs on August 27 and is packed with nods to Swift’s old personas. As polarizing as that song may have been, the video proves people are still in awe of Taylor: it quickly shattered Vevo records . The second, “ ...Ready For It? ,” is a CGI-heavy, cyberpunk-themed visual feast starring two competing Taylors. Both videos have spawned a ton of illuminating fan theories about Swift reclaiming and deconstructing her, well, reputation.

Long-awaited live performances are imminent.

Taylor’s first live performance of the Reputation era (that we know of, at least) will be just one day after the album arrives — she’s slated to perform on Saturday Night Live on November 11. After that, she’s lined up for a handful of performances as part of larger holiday events, including iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball in Los Angeles on December 1, 99.7 Now!’s Poptopia in San Jose on December 2, and the B96 Jingle Bash in Chicago on December 7.

She’s really leaning into the snake imagery.

From the red snake slithering across the “LWYMMD” lyric video, to the coiled snake that curled across her revamped Instagram page, Taylor’s clearly embracing her unflattering nickname (which stemmed from a certain Snapchat incident ). Snakes have been used throughout the promotional campaign for Reputation , and Taylor’s leaned into the symbolism even more by wearing snake-printed Gucci boots and selling $60 snake rings on her official online store.

She’s coming for you on a Reputation tour.

No dates have been announced yet, but it’s only a matter of time. A hub titled Taylor Swift Tix , which is partnered with Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program, popped up back in August. There, fans looking to purchase concert tickets can “boost their place in line” via “boost activities” that verify their status as true Swifties, not ticket resellers. Even so, expect there to be a mad rush for seats once that official tour announcement arrives. Seeing the “New Taylor” up close and personal is the hottest ticket you can get.

I am trying to figure out dinner plans, my girls want to see Camila, do yu recall approx what time she went on?

How long does she stay on the back side stages? I am debating whether to get lower bowl seats directly beside the main stage (worried I might have obstructed view from backdrop) or seats that are next to back side stage! Thanks so much for your help!

This is very helpful! My daughter and I are going in September. We’re on the floor as well – Section B, Row 14. We’re both short – 5″2′. I’m wondering if we need platform shoes. 🙂 The last time we had floor seats at a Miley Cyrus concert, we couldn’t see a thing and I said I’d never do it again – until Taylor announced her tour! Any feedback you can provide would be AWESOME!

My husband and I are debating splurging on floor seats like you and your hubby. I know you felt it was worth it and that you said you’ll feel close even if you are far away. However, I’m looking at tickets that aren’t very centered. They are close to the front but directly beside the left stage. I’m worried I will only see the part of the show that is on that side but nothing else. Do you think I should still be able to see a decent amount of the rest (center and right stage)?

I can only base it on what it was like in Phoenix, but I’d hope the setup would be similar anywhere! I got stuck on the fat left side for part of the show while going to the bathroom and having to wait until she went from side to side of the setup. I think it was still excellent and you’d still see lots of the show from there! I wouldn’t worry too much, they really tried to make it a good experience for everyone in any seat!

Awesome, thank-you!

Hi! Which stadium were you at and what seats did you have section and row wise? I’m going in Philly and am in 111 but want to know if I should upgrade to floor. Thanks!

Hey! We were in Glendale Arizona, and it was the floor seats I believe row 25. We were close, not as close as many, but close enough!

Hi there! Just wondering if you’re on the floor if you can walk around to the two back stages to get closer or if you always have to stay in your row/seat. I’m seeing her in Indy in section N row 31! Thanks 🙂

They were pretty strict about staying in your seat! There was one point I went to the bathroom and I couldn’t get back to my seat for a while until she moved to the other side stage. I think you’ll likely need to plan to stay put in your own spot.

Hi! I’m so glad I found your blog – great info as we’re taking our 9 yr old later this summer. Could you tell me how long the concert lasted? We’ll be on vacation and I’m curious what time we’ll be getting back to our hotel. Thanks in advance!

I’m so glad it was helpful! Ours started at 7:00 and ended at almost 11:00. I believe Taylor went on around 8:45, and was done about 10:45. Hopefully, it’s the same for you!

Swift performed "…Ready For It?" and "Call It What You Want" from the Reputation album during a recent appearance on "Saturday Night Live." The tour will be produced and promoted by the Messina Touring Group (MTG) and AEG Presents in North America, and Live Nation overseas.

Reputation is the singer's sixth album and includes the chart-topping first single, "Look What You Made Me Do." The album broke multiple records within hours of its release. With more than 10 million streams, it is the most-streamed song in a one-day period ever, the lyric video for "Look What You Made Me Do" broke the standing record with more than 19 million views, while the music video broke the original most viewed video (28 million) record with 43.2 million views in 24 hours.

Swift is also the only artist in history to have three albums selling more than one million copies in their first week of release (2010's Speak Now, 2012's RED and 2014's 1989).

She is the youngest person in history to win the music industry's highest honor, The Grammy Award for Album of the year and she is the first female solo artist to win this prestigious award twice. Rolling Stone listed Swift as one of the 100 Greatest Songwriters of All Time.

Time magazine named her one the of the 100 Most Influential People in the world and one of only eight candidates for their most prestigious honor, 2014 Person of the Year. A Brit and Emmy award winner, Swift is Billboard's youngest-ever Woman of the Year and the only artist to have been awarded that honor twice. Here are the North American tour dates:

Taylor Swift 2024 ‘Eras’ tour dates in US and Canada: How much are tickets?

For some, the biggest live event of the year is the Super Bowl.

And for Swifties, it’s anytime Taylor performs.

Thankfully, the 12-time Grammy winner is returning to the stage after a two-month hiatus starting next month.

The ‘Eras Tour’ will pick up in Tokyo on Feb. 7 but if heading overseas doesn’t work for your busy schedule, you can also catch Tay Tay in America and Canada later this year.

From October 18 through Dec. 8, she’s set to perform 18 career-spanning sets with special guest Gracie Abrams in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, Toronto and Vancouver.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find for tickets for her U.S. and Canada gigs was $749 before fees on Vivid Seats.

Other shows have seats starting anywhere from $800 to $1500 before fees.

Still, given that these will be Swift’s final shows — for the time being — it’s hard to put a price tag on seeing her live.

Want to go to a Swift show?

Here’s everything you need to know about seeing Taylor Swift live in the U.S. and Canada later this year.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

While Swift is known for dropping a surprise song or two into her shows, the tracks stay surprisingly consistent for most gigs.

Our team has been following the ‘Eras Tour’ closely.

Over the past few months, we’ve a) spoken to a Swiftie who  shared some helpful tips  about seeing Taylor live, b)  came up with a list of all the most exciting fan trends  and c)  explained the drama  surrounding her international opener Sabrina Carpenter.

Want to see how much it cost to see Taylor in the states at the outset of the ‘Eras Tour?’ You can find that information  right here .

When Taylor returns to the States and up North, she’s only bringing one special guest along for the ride. Here’s what you need to know.

Gracie Abrams , the daughter of film director JJ Abrams and producer Katie McGrath, is a star in her own right. Her song “I miss you, I’m sorry” has upwards of 100 million streams on Spotify, she opened for  Olivia Rodrigo  on the 2022 “Sour Tour” and headlined her own tour last spring as well.

Although it will cost an arm and a leg (maybe more!) to see Swift live this year, there are much more affordable concerts you can attend this year.

Here are just five of our favorite artists you won’t want to miss live.

•  Adele

•  Olivia Rodrigo

•  Pink

•  Christina Aguilera

•  Alanis Morissette

Who else is on the road this year? Check out our list of the  50 biggest concert tours in 2024 here  to find out.

Taylor Swift’s Rep (TV) Announcement May Be Hiding In Plain Sight

The Eras Tour setlist points to a very particular pattern.

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI - JULY 08: (EDITORIAL USE ONLY. NO BOOK COVERS.) Taylor Swift performs onstag...

It’s been three months since Taylor Swift released 1989 (Taylor’s Version) . Since then, she’s worn black , snake print , and reptile green galore, which means one thing: Reputation (Taylor’s Version) is imminent.

Since October, Swifties have been doing their best detective work to figure out when the singer will announce and release her fifth “Taylor’s Version” album. And a new viral theory , stemming from possible Easter eggs in her Eras Tour setlist , predicts an April announcement.

As first pointed out by Swiftie @tayslotsversion on X, the order of Swift’s eras on the concert setlist seems to correspond with the months she announces her “Taylor’s Version” albums. For instance, Fearless is the show’s second act, and she confirmed the Fearless (TV) release date in February 2021.

Taylor Swift announces 'Speak Now (Taylor's Version)'

This pattern is accurate for every re-recording thus far. Swift announced Speak Now (TV) , the show’s fifth act, in May 2023. The Red era comes next, and she revealed Red (TV) in June 2021. Finally, she announced 1989, the concert’s eighth act, on Aug. 9.

If this trend continues, Swift will announce the release of Reputation (TV) sometime in April. However, there’s one factor that could potentially disrupt this pattern.

Why The Setlist May Be Misleading

Since the Eras Tour kicked off in March 2023, Swift has revealed her “Taylor’s Version” albums at her shows, announcing Speak Now (TV) onstage in Nashville and 1989 (TV) in Los Angeles.

In both instances, Swift made a speech about the album, then dramatically unveiled the cover art and release date on the big screen before performing a song from the album for the first “Secret Song” on the night.

Taylor Swift announcing '1989 (Taylor’s Version)' during The Eras Tour on August 9, 2023.

Because she’s on tour throughout 2024, it makes sense that Swift would keep up this tradition for Reputation (TV) and her self-titled debut album, which is expected to be her final “Taylor’s Version” album . However, she has no shows scheduled for April, which means that either Swift will break this pattern or announce Reputation (TV) in a different way.

A previous viral theory pointed to the “Karma” music video, which showed a sky blue nail next to the “eight” on a latte clock, and a black nail next to the “two.” Since Swift announced 1989 (TV) in August, this predicts she’ll announce Reputation (TV) in February.

She’ll also be performing shows across Japan, Australia, and Singapore in February, giving her plenty of opportunities to reveal Reputation (TV) onstage. However, if she releases the album in April, as one fan suspects , this setlist theory could still ring true.

Taylor Swift is bringing her Reputation tour to the UK, and here's when you can see her play

Are you 'Ready For It'?

Taylor Swift performs onstage during the 2017 DIRECTV NOW Super Saturday Night Concert at Club Nomadic

Taylor announced that her Reputation tour would be popping over to the UK earlier today (November 24), just a couple of weeks after a string of US dates were announced.

And when we say 'popping over', we do kind of mean it, as only three dates for the British and Irish leg of the tour have been revealed (so far).

T-Swift will be performing one date each in Manchester, Dublin and London next June, kicking off at the Ethiad Stadium in Manchester on June 8.

Tickets go on general sale on December 1 , just in time for Christmas, whereas fans who subscribe to TaylorSwift.com (not to be confused with her very own social network) can try to grab tickets in advance on November 29 .

Since the release of her sixth studio album Reputation , Taylor has been celebrating breaking all sorts of sales records – and yes, we do mean sales.

Last Friday it was revealed that the singer had taken the No.1 spot on the Official UK Albums Chart with Reputation , making it her third time at the top.

Swift sold 84,000 copies of the album, and since it was absent from streaming services, all of those sales were actual sales bought with actual money.

Reputation 's impressive sales, not streams, meant that it was the sixth biggest selling album during its debut week this year, and the bestselling album by a female artist in 2017. Look what you made us do, Tay.

Politics latest: More names of plotters trying to oust Rishi Sunak expected to be revealed; Reform UK surges in polls

Sky News' deputy political editor Sam Coates lifts the lid on a "really serious" plot to oust Rishi Sunak; Reform UK is now polling level with the Liberal Democrats.

By Tim Baker , political reporter

There is no clear alternative to lead the Conservative Party if Rishi Sunak were to be ousted, new polling has suggested.

Questions about the prime minister's future have been raised by the calls for him to go from Sir Simon Clarke, and the defection of his pollster Will Dry to a group seeking his removal.

Researchers at Ipsos UK carried out a survey of 1,087 UK adults - although before Sir Simon and Mr Dry's actions were public.

According to the polling, among 2019 Conservative voters, 42% have a favourable view of Mr Sunak, while 29% have an unfavourable view.

The two closest contenders to Mr Sunak, in the view of 2019 Tories, are both not eligible replacements - Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson.

Neither are currently MPs.

Both men have a 43% favourability rating among the cohort, while 29% have an unfavourable view of Mr Farage and 34% have an unfavourable view of Mr Johnson.

Read the full poll results here:

It is more likely to fail than succeed, the plotters behind the attempt to oust Rishi Sunak believe.

The most likely outcome of all the conversations, scheming and briefing is that the Tories go down to an even bigger defeat than they otherwise would have done when the election finally comes.

Yet the handful of ex-advisers and MPs looking at an unprecedented third change of leader in this parliament say they believe that the risk is worth it.

With Reform now level pegging with the Lib Dems in the Sky News poll tracker ( see post at 7.54 ), their analysis is that the Tory party faces possible extinction if Nigel Farage joins the election campaign.

So anything is worth a try.

The Plot - led by a group without a name or headquarters, some of whom aren't being paid and some of whom have never met one another - gained shape on Tuesday night thanks to Downing Street.

In an effort to flush out the enemy, allies of Rishi Sunak named Will Dry, who was head of polling in Number 10 until six weeks ago, as one of those involved.

Instead of unnerving the 25-year-old - who is described as Cummings-esque by former colleagues - he went on the attack and blasted the PM for a lack of direction and confirming he was trying to change leader.

This extraordinary sequence of events proved the existence of the movement.

Other names of those involved are expected to leak within days, though no-one has yet leaked the name of the donor who funded the devastating big money poll that suggests the Tories face wipeout and Labour will get a 120 seat majority.

Those involved insist it is MP led, yet most MPs - who are critical to ousting a PM - are not on board yet, and may never be.

They repeat that to change from Mr Sunak after changing twice already would be insane.

The plotters believe more will come round to their view, however.

They argue Mr Sunak is consistently underwhelming, that he will potentially lose by-elections and local election races and does not have the touch to turn things around.

Some are skilled at briefing the papers, disrupting No10 attempts to take back control of events.

There is no single name they agree on as a replacement, with Suella Braverman, Robert Jenrick and Penny Mordaunt all having their drawbacks.

So Mr Sunak faces 11 months of attrition from his own side, potentially meaning things get worse the longer he leaves the election.

Could this tempt him to reconsider and go to the country in May after all?

By Jennifer Scott , political reporter

Negotiations to agree a post-Brexit trade deal between the UK and Canada have been paused amid an ongoing row over policies affecting beef and cheese.

The countries have been holding talks for the past two years, while widely continuing to trade on EU terms in the interim.

But this has allowed the UK to continue selling its cheese products without facing an import tax, which has caused anger among Canadian farmers.

The agriculture sector also wants the UK to relax its ban on hormone-treated beef, but ministers are yet to move.

An end to the talks will mean stricter rules on trade between the states - with concerns the UK car industry will now face large import taxes if selling into Canada.

A UK government spokesperson said: "We have always said we will only negotiate trade deals that deliver for the British people.

"And we reserve the right to pause negotiations with any country if progress is not being made.

"We remain open to restarting talks with Canada in the future to build a stronger trading relationship that benefits businesses and consumers on both sides of the Atlantic."

By Faye Brown , political reporter

Rishi Sunak kicked off 2024's political season with a hint at when the next general election will be - saying earlier this month that it's his "working assumption" it will happen in the second half of the year.

Speculation has been rife for months about when the prime minister will choose to go to the polls, with some pundits  believing he would call one in May to coincide with the local elections.

UK general elections have to be held no more than five years apart, so the next one must take place by 28 January 2025 at the latest.

This would be five years from the day since the current parliament first met (17 December 2019), plus the time required to run an election campaign.

The phrase  "working assumption"   does give Mr Sunak wriggle room should circumstances change, and he has not ruled out a spring election.

Sky News spoke to pollsters about the factors the prime minister will be weighing up in making his decision - and when they think the election should be.

The new year is upon us, and the political party leaders are working hard to convince the public to back them in the upcoming general election.

But while the latest opinion polls will likely be a source of new year cheer for Labour, Conservative MPs will be feeling a distinct lack of goodwill.

The Sky News live poll tracker - collated and updated by our Data and Forensics team - aggregates various surveys to indicate how voters feel about different political parties.

Labour is sitting on an average of 44.3%, with the Tories on 25.1% - a roughly 19-point lead.

In joint third are the Lib Dems and Reform on on 9.9%, followed by the Greens on 5.8% - with the SNP on 3.3%.

See the latest update below - and you can read more about the methodology behind the tracker  here .

One year ago, Rishi Sunak made five pledges for voters to judge him on.

The prime minister met his pledge to halve inflation by the end of 2023 - even though there was a surprise increase in the 12 months to December - leaving four pledges outstanding.

When it comes to the NHS, while both waiting lists and waiting times are shrinking slightly, the waiting list is still longer than in January last year, and the junior doctor pay dispute has not been resolved.

And as the Rwanda plan divides the Tory party, small boat crossings continue.

So, with the general election approaching, how is the prime minister doing on delivering his other promises?

You can see the progress for yourself below.

Our political correspondent Amanda Akass  has been speaking to Conservative MPs about the plot to try and oust Rishi Sunak before the general election.

One Red Wall MP told her: "It is madness to think changing a leader again will do anything to improve the situation. In fact, I'd strongly suggest things can and would get worse."

They went on to say it is "disturbing" that some former special advisers "seemingly want to spend the year attacking the Conservative Party essentially which benefits no colleague whatsoever and hands the keys to Keir Starmer to 10 Downing Street".

They added: "Whilst there may be disgruntled colleagues, the party always comes first and no colleague would want to be associated/working with anyone intent on trying to destroy the Conservative Party."

And another Tory MP in a southern seat told Amanda: "Everyone I speak to thinks it would be madness to challenge [Mr Sunak] now and that includes many on the right. I cannot see the numbers even getting close.

"No shortage of people who have little time for him (that includes me!) but no general appetite for a leadership contest."

It's fair to say Rishi Sunak's premiership is not on the most stable ground following rebellions over his Rwanda bill and polling showing the party is heading for a disastrous general election defeat.

As a result, it has been reported this week that Mr Sunak's allies were pushing to change the rules around a vote of no confidence in the prime minister.

As it stands, 15% of Tory MPs must submit a letter declaring no confidence in order to trigger a vote - that equates to 53 letters.

According to The Times and The Sun, Tory MP Harriet Baldwin proposed raising the threshold to 50% of the parliamentary party - which would have equated to 175 letters.

However, the chair of the backbench 1922 committee Sir Graham Brady has confirmed to Sky News no changes have been made.

Sky News has been told "several" backbench rebels have submitted letters of no confidence in Mr Sunak, but not enough to trigger a vote.

Humza Yousaf branded the Scottish Police Federation a "disgrace" during the pandemic, a message shown to the UK COVID-19 Inquiry has revealed.

His comment about the SPF - which represents rank-and-file officers - came to light while Scotland's first minister gave evidence to the inquiry on Thursday.

In a message with the then justice secretary Mr Yousaf in June 2020, deputy first minister John Swinney said: "I have just caught up with the latest insight into SPF thinking!"

Mr Yousaf responded: "They're a disgrace. Right through this pandemic they have shown an arrogance and retrograde thinking. Chief (constable) was livid last night."

As you may have seen, the world court has in the last hour issued a ruling in South Africa's case against Israel, accusing it of genocide.

The International Court of Justice (ICJ) did not order Israel to end its offensive in Gaza - but demanded it does everything in its power to prevent acts of genocide ( more here ).

We have yet to receive a statement from the government with the UK's reaction to the ruling, but the ambassador to Israel, Simon Walters, has issued a tweet pointing to a video released by the Foreign Office this morning.

In the video filmed in Qatar, Foreign Secretary Lord David Cameron highlighted British aid being loaded onto a plane to be shipped to Gaza "to help people who badly need that aid".

He said: "It's vital that we make this aid contribution to help people in Gaza, but it's also vital that we work hard to make sure that aid can actually get in."

He explained that when meeting Israeli officials in Jerusalem this week, he urged them to open various crossings into Gaza to allow both aid and UN staff in to distribute it, criticising the "series of bottlenecks".

Lord Cameron added: "None of this will work properly unless we have an immediate pause in the fighting.

"That will help us to get the aid in, but it would also help us to get the hostages out, including those British hostages that I worry so much about."

He went on to say that the "pause" must be turned into a "sustainable ceasefire", which would require Hamas' leadership "out of Gaza" with the Palestinian Authority taking over.

Fresh off his first solo release in six years, Justin Timberlake has announced his first world tour in nearly that long. And yes, he's coming to New York.

According to a Friday announcement from Live Nation, Timberlake will embark on "The Forget Tomorrow World Tour" beginning this spring. Timberlake first revealed his tour plans on Thursday's episode of "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon, the announcement said.

The tour kicks off April 29 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC, Live Nation said. It will stop at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Tuesday, June 25. The Grammy-Winner last performed at the iconic Manhattan venue in 2018. (Scroll down for the full list of tour cities and dates.)

Live Nation says fans attending the tour can expect to hear songs from Timberlake's forthcoming album "Everything I Thought It Was," along with "Everyone's Favorite Hits."

Tickets to the general public go on sale at 10 a.m. on Feb. 2, at  JustinTimberlake.com , the announcement said.

Timberlake sparked a frenzy earlier this week when he announced a one-night free show at the city's famed Irving Plaza next week. He is set to host "Saturday Night Live" this weekend.
