Roger Waters, la scaletta dei concerti del 2023: tutte le canzoni in programma nella setlist dei live italiani.

Roger Waters è pronto a esibirsi in Italia. Mentre infuria la polemica per un live a Francoforte, attualmente cancellato tra le proteste di molti intellettuali di tutto il mondo, il cantautore britannico, ex leader dei Pink Floyd, approda nel nostro paese per le date italiane del suo tour nei palazzetti , quasi tutte sold out sia a Milano che a Bologna. Passano gli anni ma la sua grande musica non passa di moda e continua a far discutere i fan di tutto il mondo. In attesa dell’inizio dei live, ecco la probabile scaletta delle date italiane.

Il tour di Roger Waters nel 2023

Se nelle ultime settimane si è parlato soprattutto del caos per la cancellazione di un suo live a Francoforte da parte dell’amministrazione locale, che lo ha accusato apertamente di antisemitismo, Waters non si sta curando troppo di questa vicenda, e sta proseguendo il suo giro di concerti nel resto d’Europa, acclamato quasi dappertutto.

Un tour che lo porta il 27 marzo nuovamente nel nostro paese, per la prima di una serie di date imperdibili. Di seguito il calendario di tutti i concerti in programma in Italia:

– 27, 28, 31 marzo e 1° aprile al Mediolanum Forum di Assago (Milano) – 21, 28 e 29 aprile all’Unipol Arena di Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna)

La scaletta dei concerti del 2023

Sono passati oltre cinquant’anni da alcuni dei più grandi successi dei Pink Floyd, ma la grande musica di una delle band più amate della storia del rock continua a far impazzire le masse e ad essere parte integrante delle scalette degli spettacoli preparati da Roger Waters, che dei Pink Floyd è stato la mente e l’anima per tanti anni.

Grande attesa per il concerto di stasera di Roger Waters all’ Unipol Arena di Casalecchio di Reno. Un’occasione davvero unica per ascoltare dal vivo il cantautore e compositore inglese, co-fondatore dei Pink Floyd nel 1965. Dopo l’addio di Syd Barrett, appena qualche anno dopo, Waters è diventato autore e leader della band, almeno fino alla sua decisione di abbandonarla completamente negli anni Ottanta. Eppure, nel concerto di stasera, venerdì 21 aprile, il cantante omaggerà proprio la sua presenza nei Pink Floyd, eseguendo dal vivo una serie di brani che ne hanno fatto la storia, da Wish you were here a Money .

This Is Not a Drill tour

Tutto pronto per il This Is Not a Drill tour , il settimo tour live del cantautore inglese Roger Waters , originariamente previsto per il 2020 e poi rimandato al 2023 a causa della pandemia da Covid-19. Un tour che parte dall’Italia e che attraversa l’Europa, passando per città come Budapest, Zurigo, Parigi, Amburgo, Berlino, Londra e via dicendo.

La data più attesa dell’intero tour, però, sarà quella del 25 aprile . L’esibizione del cantante, infatti, sarà trasmessa in diretta da Praga in oltre 1500 sale cinematografiche dislocate in più di 50 Paesi. Un evento musicale e cinematografico, diretto da Sean Evans , che permetterà ai fan di tutto il mondo di godersi Roger Waters cantare alcuni dei successi musicali più straordinari della sua carriera, naturalmente accompagnato da una band di eccezione.

L’invito iniziale che appare sugli schermi è esplicito: se amate i Pink Floyd ma non siete d’accordo con le idee politiche di Roger Waters andatevene a ‘fanculo al bar. E sì perché questo è lo show più politico e intransigente che l’artista inglese ha messo in scena.

Uno sguardo critico

Non è certo una novità, da sempre Waters è un feroce osservatore e implacabile critico della società, già con “The Dark Side Of The Moon” toccava temi sensibili. Quella sua visione a 50 anni di distanza è ora più feroce, ma d’altronde lo aiutano i tempi che stiamo correndo, la guerra, le differenze sociali, la violenza, la soppressione della libertà di dissenso e di altro pensiero, il predominio sul mondo, tutte cose di cui il 79enne artista, alla sua età e con la sua posizione, non ignora, libero di potersi esprimere senza timore di censura …. o quasi (vedasi quanto successo in Germania dove gli hanno cancellato i concerti per le sue posizioni politiche). 

Questo cappello extra musicale è necessario per entrare nell’atmosfera e nella sostanza dello spettacolo. La sua visione, non certo positiva, permea tutto il concerto, lo veste con un’atmosfera angosciosa, non molla, lo sviluppa per immagini. Idee sacrosante, condivisibili, ma che a volte sembrano declinate con un forte senso fobico, quasi da togliere il respiro e il piacere di gustarsi un concerto. Il che non vuol dire “mettere il cervello in folle”, la visione e l’uso della musica per veicolare messaggi è sacrosanto (e necessario) ma tra questo, la fobia e l’ossessione c’è in mezzo un vasto territorio.

L’atmosfera

Il “This Is Not A Drill – His First Farewell Tour” è un concentrato di ideologia e tecnologia. Il palco, a forma di croce è al centro del parterre, e non “schiacciato” nella consueta posizione, è una visione avvolgente e i musicisti si muovono sui quattro lati/braccia del palco. In attesa dell’inizio il tutto sembra una scatola chiusa. Ma dopo il primo brano la parte superiore si solleva e si trasforma in mega schermi su cui scorrono le immagini.

Il senso di questo show è chiaro sin dalla prima canzone. “Comfortably Numb” (dall’album “The Wall”) in origine ha quello che può essere annoverato tra i migliori assoli di chitarra, che in questa versione sparisce, sostituito da urla e rumori. Tutto rallenta, sugli schermi scorrono immagini di distruzione di guerra e di morte. L’atmosfera è drammaticamente cupa, compressa, s’inizia già a respirare quel senso di angoscia che spesso accompagnerà il concerto.

La prima parte del live è interamente dedicata a “The Wall” e i suoi temi, “raccontati”, messi in chiaro dalle immagini che scorrono sugli schermi. Seguono poi due brani del Waters solista e un brano inedito, non ancora pubblicato (“The Bar”) preceduto da un lungo speech, una sorta di comizio di RW.

Il terzo blocco ha più una valenza umana: è quello legato all’album “Wish You Where Here” e al delicato e affettuoso ricordo di Waters verso l’amico Syd Barrett, accompagnato da molte immagini di repertorio dei giovani Pink Floyd.

Il primo tempo si conclude sulla lunga “Sheep” (da “Animals”) introdotta da un’autocelebrazione dell’autore e accompagnata dal volo della pecora drone sulle teste degli spettatori.

È tempo di riprendere fiato (a volte l’età pare farsi sentire) e quindi di una pausa.

Il secondo tempo

Il ritorno sul palco è nuovamente affidato ai brani e concetti di “The Wall” con Roger Water vestito in pelle e occhiali da sole nelle vesti di un sanguinario dittatore che spara verso la folla. Il tutto accompagnato dal maiale drone che fa il giro del Forum.

Segue un’altra sezione presa dal Waters solista (con l’inquietante interrogativo di “Is This The Live We Really Want?”) cui fa seguito la parte musicalmente più accattivante, quella che ripercorre, attraverso i suoi brani più significativi ”The Dark Side Of The Moon”. È un’esplosione di chitarre, di sax, di basso pulsante, sono canzoni su cui adagiarsi e farsi trasportare, sono colonna sonora di una vita, ma anche brani di denuncia ancora oggi fortemente attuali. È anche la parte in cui la musica prende il sopravvento. Tra grandi effetti scenici, esplosioni di luci, di raggi laser e parole che scorrono sugli schermi insieme a immagini forti e accusatorie si va verso il finale.

Waters, dopo altri lunghi interventi parlati ci porta a “Final Cut”, il suo ultimo album con i Pink Floyd, ci accompagna nuovamente al “The Bar” (con la reprise del brano inedito) e chiude  sulla presentazione video della band che raggiunge suonando il backstage accompagnata dalle immagini sugli schermi.

Uno spettacolo complesso e non liberatorio

In “This Is Not A Drill – His First Farewell Tour” Roger Waters mette in scena uno spettacolo complesso, in cui critica, pensiero, storia, tecnologia, politica, rabbia e frustrazione si mischiano. Non c’è niente di solare in questo spettacolo che in più occasioni “schiaccia” l’ascoltatore, lo mette all’angolo, lo destabilizza, e forse non lo soddisfa appieno, spostando l’attenzione dalla musica ad altro, sia questo il pensiero o l’immagine.

Insomma non pensate di avere un oltre due ore di relax, di fare un tuffo nel tempo e di godervi la musica, Roger Waters vi tiene in tensione per tutta la durata e quando uscite il vostro animo non sarà certo libero e leggero.

Secondo show a Milano il 28 marzo 2023, poi ancora il 31 marzo e 1° aprile. Waters tornerà a fine aprile a Bologna per altre tre date, 21, 28 e 29.

Moscow Metro 2019

Will it be easy to find my way in the Moscow Metro? It is a question many visitors ask themselves before hitting the streets of the Russian capital. As metro is the main means of transport in Moscow – fast, reliable and safe – having some skills in using it will help make your visit more successful and smooth. On top of this, it is the most beautiful metro in the world !

. There are over 220 stations and 15 lines in the Moscow Metro. It is open from 6 am to 1 am. Trains come very frequently: during the rush hour you won't wait for more than 90 seconds! Distances between stations are quite long – 1,5 to 2 or even 3 kilometers. Metro runs inside the city borders only. To get to the airport you will need to take an onground train - Aeroexpress.

RATES AND TICKETS

Paper ticket A fee is fixed and does not depend on how far you go. There are tickets for a number of trips: 1, 2 or 60 trips; or for a number of days: 1, 3 days or a month. Your trips are recorded on a paper ticket. Ifyou buy a ticket for several trips you can share it with your traveling partner passing it from one to the other at the turnstile.

On every station there is cashier and machines (you can switch it to English). Cards and cash are accepted. 1 trip - 55 RUB 2 trips - 110 RUB

Tickets for 60 trips and day passes are available only at the cashier's.

60 rides - 1900 RUB

1 day - 230 RUB 3 days - 438 RUB 30 days - 2170 RUB.

The cheapest way to travel is buying Troyka card . It is a plastic card you can top up for any amount at the machine or at the ticket office. With it every trip costs 38 RUB in the metro and 21 RUB in a bus. You can get the card in any ticket office. Be prepared to leave a deposit of 50 RUB. You can get it back returning the card to the cashier.

SamsungPay, ApplePay and PayPass cards.

One turnstile at every station accept PayPass and payments with phones. It has a sticker with the logos and located next to the security's cabin.

GETTING ORIENTED

At the platfrom you will see one of these signs.

It indicates the line you are at now (line 6), shows the direction train run and the final stations. Numbers below there are of those lines you can change from this line.

In trains, stations are announced in Russian and English. In newer trains there are also visual indication of there you are on the line.

To change lines look for these signs. This one shows the way to line 2.

There are also signs on the platfrom. They will help you to havigate yourself. (To the lines 3 and 5 in this case).

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.
