Since this shrine was built by the Mughals in the 13 th century, it has elements of the rich Mughal architecture, such as tombs, courtyards and gates – Nizam Darwaza, Shah Jahan Darwaza and Buland Darwaza.

The prasad distributed among devotees here are cooked in two massive cauldrons kept in the inner courtyard. Irrespective of your spiritual inclination, the aura of this shrine, combined with the aroma of flowers and incense sticks will bring a sense of calmness in you, especially during the six-day Urs festival celebrated in Rajab (the seventh month of the Islamic lunar calendar).

A princely state for a princely stay, in the northwest of India, lies the district of Bundi, in the Hadoti region of the royal state of Rajasthan . In ancient times, the area around Bundi was apparently inhabited by various local tribes. Bundi was previously called 'Bunda-Ka-Nal"; Nal meaning 'narrow ways'. It is said to derive its name from a former Meena tribe man called Bunda Meena. Later the region was governed by Rao Deva Hada who took over Bundi from Jaita Meena in 1342 and established a princely state Bundi renaming the surrounding area called Hadoti the land of great Hada Rajputs.

Fondly known as "the land of Havelis" or "open air art gallery", this miniature town of Nawalgarh is located around 30 kms away from the town of Jhunjhunu and does absolute justice to the name given to it. It is said that the Marwaris who were off to cosmo cities like Bombay and Calcutta in search of work, used to send their hard earned money back to their homes in Nawalgarh. When their businesses started to flourish, they sent back artists to Nawalgarh in order to build plush palaces and show off their wealth. This lead to the rich architecture of this little town in Rajasthan.

9. Dundlod, Shekhawati

While Nawalgarh is famous for its havelis and forts built in the 20th century, this town of Dundlod is famous for the edifices built in the 18th century. One of the most prominent forts of the town, the Dundlod Fort was built even earlier in the 16th century under the rule of the Rawal King. The fort has now been reinstated now and has been turned into a heritage hotel. Other attractions in this town include the Jagathia and Goenka havelis, the Satyanarayan temple, Chokhani, Diwan-I-Khas, Ladia and Saraf Haveli.
