Of course we do!  Vivid Tours specializes in offering curated Bachelorette wine tour experiences with both full day and half day options.  Our Bachelorette tours take our regular wine tours to a whole new level.  Expect everything we offer on our typical tours, but with several bottles of bubbly, a private vineyard toast for the Bride and crew and a bluetooth karaoke mic to rock out in the van!

Our Kelowna Bachelorette tours are also paired with high energy guides that keep the vibe going all day!  For more information on these tours, check out our Kelowna Bachelorette Tour and our Kelowna Bachelorette tour half day.

Our full day wine tours run from 10:30 AM – 4:30 PM (6 hours).  Half day wine tours run from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM (4 hours).  Our sunset wine tours run from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM (5 hours)

Please note, guests with pick up locations outside of our normal pickup range or for those guests departing out of Kelowna on our southern tours including the Naramata Bench, Oliver and Osoyoos will have customized itineraries.  Please expect pick up to be earlier than indicated above.  Our reservations team will reach out to confirm your customized pick up time.

Great question!  If you’re ready for a fun, relaxing and informative day on our Kelowna wine tour and Okanagan wine country, we’ve got you covered.  Your wine tour guide will pick you up directly from your accommodation in a new, air-conditioned touring vehicle and tour your through some of the most gorgeous wineries in the Okanagan Valley.

Our full day wine tours include tastings / visits to 5 wineries with an un-rushed lunch reservation at a winery bistro midway through the day.  For guests with limited time, we also offer half day tours that depart in the morning and afternoon and offer tastings / visits to 4 wineries.

All winery tastings are curated by our reservations team with dedicated appointments and VIP access.  Our guests will never wait in line!

Your tour includes full concierge service from your guide including taking as many photos as you’d like, carrying all wine purchases, organizing wine purchases, securing reservations at local restaurants or entertainment venues and even shipping out your wine purchases if you’d rather not take them home with you.  Our guides are also well versed in local Kelowna and Okanagan knowledge, pointing out areas of interest and making recommendations that can help make your stay more enjoyable.

Yes!  Guests staying at Sparkling Hill Resort that are reserving public tours can make the reservation for our Sparkling Hill Wine Tour package.  Private wine tours from the resort may also be available pending availability.   Please connect with our sales team at 250-878-6701 or via email at [email protected] to inquire about transportation opportunities to the resort.

Yes! We love hosting single traveler’s and our Kelowna wine tour reservations team will be happy to help.  Online reservations are not available for single traveler’s, since we require a minimum of two people to make a reservation through our booking platform.   Please call or text us at 250-878-6701 and we can usually find a seat on a tour for you to join!

Please note, most single traveler’s that wish to join our wine tours are located in the downtown Kelowna core area.  If you are located elsewhere, you may be asked to meet us at a more convenient location or at the first winery on the tour.

Wine Touring Tips

With close to 90 wineries within a 20 minute drive of Penticton, how do you know which ones are right for you? Here are a few tips, which will help you make the most of your wine touring adventure.

Do your research. Do you like whites or reds? Sweet or dry? Are you interested in fruit wine or icewine?

Take time to become familiar with “wine-speak”, and improve your wine vocabulary .

Give yourself time to enjoy the tasting experience at each location by planning to visit no more than 3 to 5 wineries on any given day, allowing for travel time between locations.

The Okanagan Valley has been ranked as one of the top wine destinations around the world. The South Okanagan in particular is home to over 200 wineries, and Penticton perfectly located in the heart of the South Okanagan wine region.

Naramata Bench  With abundant sunshine, cooling lake breezes and an optimal temperature range, the Naramata Bench is a premiere grape growing region in Canada. A winding 13 kilometre stretch of gorgeous lake views, vineyards, orchards and mountain views and is home to 45 wineries, 2 distilleries, 1 brewery and 3 cideries.

Summerland’s Bottleneck Drive Get ready to explore the sweeping vineyards and lush orchards, it’s full of boutique wineries and craft beverage creators. A peaceful meander through the hills and valleys will lead you to Summerland where you will find 20 wineries, 2 breweries, 2 distilleries and 4 cideries.

Okanagan Falls/Skaha Lake  The Heart Of Wine Country™ wine touring in Okanagan Falls wraps around Skaha Lake from Penticton to Vaseux Lake, where you’ll find a string of small wineries with big heart crafting big wines. Amazing views can be found from both sides of the valley. The Okanagan Falls Skaha Lake wine region offers more than 20 wineries to explore.

Similkameen Valley Soak up the sunshine and dare to dream while meandering through the vineyards of the family-run boutique wineries. Sit back, relax and savour the hidden gem called the Similkameen, home to 15 wineries, 2 cideries and 1 distillery.

Colourful characters, award-winning wineries and stunning scenery all give Oliver Osoyoos Wine Country its unique glow. Bringing together more than 40 of the region’s wineries who have won more accolades than any other wine region in Canada.

When to go Wine Touring 

Any time is wine time in Penticton and no matter the season, you’ll find authentic, intimate tasting experiences. Each season does have it’s own nuances though, which are worth knowing before planning your visit.

Winter is a quieter time affording you the opportunity to stay longer and enjoy a more laid-back tasting experience. During this time you’ll often you’ll find the proprietor or winemaker behind the tasting bar regaling guests with tales of the grapes’ journey to the glass and you may find special seasonal treats like mulled wine or chocolates on offer. Ice wine only a few places in the world where this is made.

Spring is a great time to visit your favourite wineries as they release their new vintages and the vineyards are busy preparing for the new growing season.

Summer and early fall are the busiest time for wine touring around Penticton, but are also the best time of year to enjoy the outdoor wine experience. Many wineries have culinary offerings to further tempt your taste buds, and encourage you to stay and soak up the views.

Fall is harvest time so you will often find some opportunities to get involved in the agricultural aspects of the wine industry, and you may be able to watch the workers picking grapes during harvest.

The scenic sip wine route in Lake Country is home to a premier selection of award-winning vintners surrounded by beautiful lake vistas, orchards, and vineyards.

Lake Country is the most northern wine region in the Okanagan and not surprisingly it also has the coolest climate. It gets 4” more rain on average when compared to Osoyoos, the most southern Okanagan region. Steep slopes hugging the Okanagan Lake and modern advances in viticulture such as wind machines prevent frost damaging the vines and buds in autumn, winter and spring.

Lake Country is an unofficial sub-appellation, as BC remains prudent when implementing new regulations to make it official. However, there is no doubt this remains a unique terrior to any other part of the Okanagan wine region. The area has a good variety of soils with clay, gravel and limestone all providing essential minerals and the right balance of water retention.

George and Trudy Heiss pioneered this wine region back in 1976 when they started Gray Monk winery. Now known for their Sparkling Odyssey white Brut, and unique riesling hybrids. The Rotberger rose stood out to us in 2018. Gray Monk was the only winery in the region for 27 years, until Arrowleaf Cellars also saw the potential of this cool climate region. Several others now like ExNihlo and O'Rourke Peak Cellars have converted the cherry and apple orchards of the area into exceptional vineyards.
