This plantation was once the home of Fort Randall, a confederate fort from 1861 to 1863. During the War of the States, the US-North Atlantic Squadron was very active in this area. The remains of a cannonball still lies in place on the Battery Hill beside Fort Randall. The open fields at the entrance to our stables were originally cleared by the 9000 confederate soldiers, as the tree line along the Intracoastal Waterway served as a barrier from coming enemy ships. The property was once home to Billy the Kid, and even Blackbeard was said to have used our island as a safe haven.

Of course, no visit to Nashville is complete until you visit the Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium. Ryman was built over 40 years ago and during the day you can tour the building and hear stories of musical legends who performed there. The Grand Ole Opry moved to the Opry House in 1974 and you can take in up to three live shows a week. Don’t miss the honky tonks on Lower Broadway where the neon lights are as loud as the music. The Edison is located at the northern most portion of East Nashville, in Inglewood. Inglewood is home to some of East Nashville’s favorite spots including Walden, Nicoletto’s Italian Kitchen, Fox Bar & Cocktail Club and many more. Inglewood is a 10 minute drive to downtown Nashville or hop on the rapid transit bus to downtown.

Coast Restaurant in Gulf Shores is located at The Beach Club and offers amazing indoor and outdoor dining, a fun menu, and delicious cocktails.

The Cookout Tiki Bar is currently closed until Spring 2024 as they update the menu and outdoor seating.

The Village Hideaway is located at The Beach Club and offers homemade pizza, salads, wings and tenders, pasta and more.

Alabama Slam-Ma - Half pound beef patty with cheddar cheese, candied bacon, lettuce and tomato relish, served with seasoned fries.

Gulf Shrimp Po Boy - Fried gulf shrimp on oyster bread with shaved lettuce, tomato, and mayo.

Blackened Mahi Sandwich - Blackened mahi on a kaiser roll with lettuce, tomato, and Cajun remoulade.

Wood Fired Chicken Alfredo - Baked pasta with house made garlic alfredo sauce and tender chicken. Served with garlic bread.

Kiva Grill is located next to the Kiva Lodge and Golf Course. They are open to the public and offer breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.  There hours do change seasonally so make sure to check when they are open.

Tacky Jacks Fort Morgan

Tacky Jacks in Fort Morgan offers a full bar, outdoor deck and great appetizer menu. The sunset view is fantastic.

I hate to say it but the food at the Fort Morgan location is not my favorite. They have great appetizers and really good drinks but the meals have not been great.

Jack's Bar is downstairs with karaoke.

Menu Highlights - hearty appetizers, fresh seafood, chicken and steak dishes, salads, burgers, wraps and po’boys.
