Jackson Wang Announces 'Magic Man' World Tour 2023 North American Dates

Presale begins on Wednesday, January 18th and tickets will go on sale to the public beginning Friday, January 20th.

Singer, performer, and producer Jackson Wang announces his first-ever North American tour dates as a solo act for his MAGIC MAN World Tour.

The limited six-city tour will make stops in major cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and more. See below for a full list of tour dates. Jackson will return for the 2nd year in a row to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 16th and April 23rd at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California ahead of headliner Frank Ocean. For information on purchasing tickets, visit here .

Jackson kicked off his MAGIC MAN World Tour with sold out shows in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, London and Paris to celebrate the release of his sophomore album MAGIC MAN (TEAM WANG records/88rising Records/Warner Records/RYCE MUSIC GROUP) featuring previously released singles "Blue," "Cruel" and "Blow."

The album received widespread critical acclaim from the likes of Associated Press, NPR, Vulture, The Daily Beast, Consequence, UPROXX, and more. It debuted at No. 3 on Billboard's "Top Current Sales" & "Top Album Sales" the week of release and at No. 15 on Billboard 200 marking Jackson's highest charting album.

This all follows Jackson's whirlwind run of making history at last year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival as the first-ever Chinese solo artist who performed on the Coachella main stage as part of 88rising's 'Head In The Clouds Forever' set. Jackson also headlined last year's 88rising 'Head In The Clouds' Festival (alongside the likes of NIKI, Rich Brian, and more) at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.

Most recently, Jackson headlined the League Of Legends 2022 Worlds Championship Opening Ceremony with a performance of his latest single, "Fire to the Fuse," a Riot Games Music written and produced track and the theme song for the new "League of Legends" Empyrean skin line alongside Lil Nas X in San Francisco. The track peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Trending Song Chart.

As a globally acclaimed artist and a creative director, Jackson's goal is to showcase a Chinese-influenced sound on the international music stage and highlight Chinese and Asian culture worldwide. In his ascent, Jackson has amassed over 92 million followers across socials.

Jackson Wang is a Chinese singer, record producer, creative director, and founder of TEAM WANG. Jackson was a sabre fencer for Hong Kong's fencing team-He was ranked eleventh in the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. And throughout Jackson's sports career, he won first place at three Asian competitions, three national competitions, and nine international and Hong Kong competitions.

In 2014, Jackson debuted as a member of JYP entertainment's K-pop group GOT7 in Korea. In 2017, Jackson Wang founded TEAM WANG. In 2021, Jackson Wang left JYP entertainment and came back to TEAM WANG in China, and started releasing his solo music. In the same year, Jackson Wang announced PANTHEPACK, a 4-member Chinese music group consisting of Jackson Wang, Karencici, ICE, and J.Sheon, under TEAM WANG.

Magic: the gathering pro tour will return after years away.

On Thursday in a press release, Wizards of the Coast announced that it was bringing back the Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour competitive matches.

In an exciting announcement by Wizards of The Coast, the  Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour will be returning in 2023. Focusing on Magic: The Gathering tabletop play, the Pro Tour debuted in 1996 and let the best players compete in tournaments that qualified winners for the World Championship. Wizards of the Coast eventually replaced the Pro Tour with the Mythic Championship, followed by the Players Tour. As the Pro Tour phased out, the future of paper Magic: The Gathering seemed uncertain but it appears this could change in coming years.

The introduction of Magic: The Gathering to the Esports scene  ended the Pro Tour in 2019. The end of the Pro Tour and the establishment of the Mythic Championship was a game-changing shift away from competitive, in-person tabletop play. By making  Magic: The Gathering  matches virtual, Wizards of the Coast hoped to bring the game into the modern age and emphasize the digital options players could participate in. The Mythic Championship was established to include the digital platform  Magic: The Gathering Arena in competitive play. Eventually, the Mythic Championship was replaced by another different system, and tabletop competitions became the Players Tour while  MTG Arena competitions became the  Magic: The Gathering Mythic Invitationals .

However, on Thursday in a press release, Wizards of the Coast announced that it was bringing the popular Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour back for in-person competitive gameplay. The Pro Tour will be held three times a year with the first Pro Tour targeted for early 2023, as long as health and safety risks aren't present. Players will compete for their share of $500,000 in prizes and invites to the  Magic: The Gathering World Championship. To qualify for the Pro Tour, players must perform well at Regional Championships or earn enough Adjusted Match Points (AMP) to compete. Furthermore, new digital paths through MTG Arena and Magic Online will also help players qualify for the Pro Tour matches.

The return to paper play may be a welcome change for many Magic: The Gathering  players, as some saw Wizards of the Coast hosting the 2020  Magic World Championships exclusively on MTG Arena  as a mistake. At its core, Magic: The Gathering has always been a game that focuses on tabletop play, so the sudden transition to a digital format likely created a jarring experience for many long-time players. It is possible that the return to in-person matches, and the ability to showcase exciting deck builds and strategies with other players, could help encourage frustrated  Magic fans to start playing again.

Wizards of the Coast has yet to finalize all the details for the Magic: The Gathering Pro Tour, but it plans to unveil a further roadmap and plans at the end of April. In the meantime, players can rebuild  Magic decks for the new Street Fighter Commanders , or explore the recent  Dungeons & Dragons card releases that add favorite monsters and characters to the game. Hopefully,  Magic: The Gathering's Pro Tour championship will give interested players the chance to connect in person over the well-loved and exciting tabletop game.

From your local game store all the way to a Magic World Championship , Regional Championships and the Pro Tour offer competition and prizes every step of the way.

How to Qualify

• Top finishers at each region’s Regional Championships .
• Players that earn 30 or more match points at the previous Pro Tour.
• The 8 players who compete in the Magic: The Gathering Online Champions Showcase which grants invites to the corresponding Pro Tour.
• Players with 39 Adjusted Match Points from the previous 3 Pro Tours.
• Players who reach 7 wins on day two of Arena Qualifier Weekends.
• The top 8 finishers from Magic World Championship XXIX are invited to all Pro Tours in the 2024 season.
• Members of the Magic: The Gathering Hall of Fame receive one Pro Tour invite per season.

Adjusted Match Points will reward players with high finishes over the previous three rolling Pro Tours—even across seasons. Adjusted Match Points are the number of match points earned in a Pro Tour after a player's first 9 match points. Additionally, players who make the Top 8 will be awarded an additional 12 Adjusted Match Points (or a total if 39, if the number would have been lower than 39), regardless of their final standings.

They produced 'Rude', the hit of the summer of 2014 worldewide, and they are not planning on being a one hit wonder. Managed by Sony, and together since 2012, the Canadian reggae-fusion band have released their first album 'Don't Kill The Magic', which is proving to be a success. Seeing them live is perfect if you just want to chill with your friends and home feeling relaxed. The four piece band have good chemistry, which always makes it better to watch them perform.\ The only criticism is despite lead singer Adam Nasri's obvious talent and charisma, his voice did give out on a few of the songs, which is disappointing as the songs are not particularly difficult to sing from a pitching/rhythm point of view.

But we must remember that they are only just starting in their careers, and are still finding their feet creatively. For a band that have only been together for 2 short years, the overall experience and layout of their live performance was stylish and chilled. Perfect for the summer.

2024 NBA playoffs bracket, schedule, games today, scores: 76ers vs. Knicks, Lakers vs. Nuggets in Game 3

The nba playoffs are underway with 16 teams in the hunt for the larry o'brien trophy.

The NBA playoffs are underway, and we've seen two games in every first-round series. The Nuggets, Cavaliers, Knicks, Timberwolves and Thunder are all out to 2-0 series leads, while the Pacers, Mavericks and Heat all won Game 2s this week to even their respective series. Three teams -- the Magic, 76ers and Lakers -- are facing crucial Game 3s on their home floor Thursday night.

Orlando, Philadelphia and Los Angeles all find themselves in 0-2 holes after dropping two road games. The 76ers and Lakers both had chances to win Game 2 on Monday night and steal home-court advantage against the Knicks and Nuggets, respectively, but ultimately fell short. The Magic, meanwhile, struggled to score in both of their games so far against the Cavs and will hope they find some offense as the series shifts to Orlando.

The first round of these NBA playoffs will run through May 5.  Here's how CBS Sports experts are picking their brackets .
