Marca MP Announces 2024 U.S. Tour

Marca MP is hitting the road . On Feb. 7, the bicultural música mexicana group announced their new SIMPLEMENTE MARCA TOUR 2024, starting in Fresno, CA, on Apr. 20 and wrapping up in Oakland, CA, on Nov. 30.

“The official cities for the ‘SIMPLEMENTE MARCA TOUR 2024’ 🔥🇺🇸,” the band️ announced online. “See you in April, comment your city ❤️ Pre-sale starts TOMORROW at 10:00 AM (PST) with the code : SIMPLEMENTE.”

After releasing their new emotional 10-track album LEALTAD , the sierreño band will take their music to their fans. After the tour’s kickoff in Fresno, CA, the band will continue to Ontario, CA (Apr. 27), Santa Barbara, CA (May 3), San Jose, CA (May 4), and St. Louis, MO (May 17). They will then head to Kansas City, MO (May 18), Salinas, CA (June 22), Salt Lake City, UT (June 28), Orlando, FL (Aug. 9), and Estero, FL (Aug. 10). 

The tour will proceed in Austin, TX (Aug. 23), Dallas, TX (Aug. 24), Palm Desert, CA (Aug. 31), Yakima, WA (Sept. 27), and Seattle, WA (Sept. 28). Following dates include Molola, OR (Sep. 29), Albuquerque, NM (Oct. 5), El Paso, TX (Oct. 11), Phoenix, AZ (Oct. 12), and Atlanta, GA (Oct. 18).  

The tour’s latter half continues with Charlotte, NC (Oct. 19), Nashville, TN (Oct. 25), Birmingham, AL (Oct. 26), New Orleans, LA (Oct. 27), and Reno, NV (Nov. 1). The band’s last string of shows include Santa Rosa, CA (Nov. 2), Corpus Christi, TX (Nov. 8), McAllen, TX (Nov. 9), and San Antonio, TX (Nov. 15). The last shows are in Houston, TX (Nov. 16), San Diego, CA (Nov. 27), and Oakland, CA (Nov. 30).

A los 22, Chato - como lo conocen sus farniticos y amigos - es uno de los j6venes artistas mas talentosos y honestos en el competitivo mundo de la musica regional mexicana. Cantante y compositor principal de la agrupaci6n Marca MP, Chato se destaca en un estilo que podriamos describir como regional urbano.   Marca MP compuesta por: Chato (primera voz y armonia,) Omar Valdivia (requinto,) y Ernesto Franco (tuba) interpretan melodias romanticas y tambien corridos, pero con una estetica innovadora que se enfoca en el sonido de la guitarra, el bajo y la tuba. Las texturas de la musica de banda cobran un brillo novedoso en este marco minimalista, generando una intensa experiencia musical.  

La Musica de Marca MP es universal, es una buena descripci6n para la musica que lleg6 al gusto de personas de todas las edades que se identifican con sus letras, considerando el rapido ascenso del grupo para conseguir millones de streams y seguidores.   Cuando Pedro Vargas era pequefio, los clasicos de la musica regional mexicana eran una presencia constante en su casa en el norte de California.  

"Mis papas escuchaban a Los Tigres del Norte, Los Tucanes de Tijuana, Los Temerarios y Los Bukis", dice con una sonrisa. "Los temas y melodias de esas canciones son piezas fundamentales para la musica que compongo e interpreto yo".  

El surgimiento inicial de MARCA MP se dio en enero del 2018 cuando se presentaban a tocar en fiestas de quince afios o mercados de pulgas, en los cuales colocaban en el piso una caja de carton para que la gente les dejara propinas.   Para noviembre de ese mismo afio, Chato habia juntado un repertorio de canciones nuevas con e l suefio de no solo grabarlas, si no tambien diseminarlas en las plataforrnas de streaming. En el 2019 la banda grab6 cuatro temas incluyendo un corrido llamado "El Gilero" con letras que presentaban una desafiante declaraci6n de principios y una melodia s utilm ente nostalgiosa.  

Meses despues, el tema alcanz6 un mill6n de st r eams en Spotify y Marca MP empez6 a tener presentaciones fuera de California.  

El paso definitivo para estab l ecerse con e l publico lleg6 cuando grabaron "El Gilero" a duo con el reconocido Grupo Firme de Tijuana. "E l dia que sa li6 el tema teniamos 8,000 seguidores", recuerda C hato. "Cuando llegue a mi casa esa madrugada, habiamo s alcanzado lo s 20,000; senti esa magia que surge al principio de algo bonito".  

Marca MP sigue cosechando exitos, en diciembre 2022 cerr6 s u gira "Lo Que Fuera un Suefio tour" con un Ueno total en el majestuoso Crypto Arena de la ciudad de Los Angeles, colabor6 con la artista global Becky G y su dueto "Ya Acabo" cue nta con mas de 137 millones de visualizaciones en Youtube.  

En la actualidad Marca MP se pr epara para dar inicio a su gira "Simplemente Marca Tour 2024 " por Estados Unidos y Mexico. In January of 2018, the first incarnation of Marca MP used to play gigs at quinceaiieras and flea markets, in which they placed a cardboard box on the floor so that people would leave them tips.  

By November of that year, Chato had amassed a collection of songs and harbored the dream of not only recording them, but also dropping them on major streaming platforms. In 2019, the band recorded four tracks, including a catchy, upbeat corrido named "El Gtiero" marked by l yrics emoting a defiant declaration of principles and an oddly nostalgic melody. A few months later, the song reached a million streams on Spotify and Marca MP began to play outside of California.  

The band's defining step in establishing themselves was re-recording "El Gtiero" as a duet with popular Tijuana outfit Grupo Firme. "I remember the morning the track was published we had 8,000 followers on social media," says Chato. "When I got home later that night, we had reached 20,000. It was a very happy moment, the beginning of something big."  

The renamed triad continues to reap success, in December 2022 they concluded "Lo Que Fuera un Suefio Tour" selling out the majestic Crypto Arena in the city of Los Angeles, they collaborated with global artist Becky G, the single "Ya Acabo" has more than 137 million views on YouTube.  

Currently, Marca MP i s preparing to embark on their 2024 "Simplemente Marca Tour" through Mexico and the United States.
