Rihanna Announces 2010 North American Tour Last Girl on Earth

“We’ve never done a tour to this capacity. The production is unbelievable and the costumes, we just took it to a whole new level. Visually and sonically it’s going to be a big step up from the last time. We just keep growing and this time it is a massive production that I cannot wait for,” said Rihanna in a recent interview with AOL.

With a total of over 121 million in audience nationwide – up over 25 million this week alone – “Rude Boy” continues its chart onslaught as the #1 Hot 100 Airplay song and the #1 Greatest Gainer/Airplay on the chart for the 7th week in a row.

Set to launch her sold out spring European tour on April 16th in Antwerp, Belgium, before heading overseas Rihanna will perform on FOX’s American Idol on Wednesday, April 7th.

Rihanna’s Last Girl On Earth tour will make 25 stops, at mix of top amphitheaters and arenas throughout North America this summer, beginning on July 2nd at the White River Amphitheater in Seattle through August 25th at the United Center in Chicago, with more dates to be announced soon. A dynamic performer renowned for her cutting-edge stage looks and designs, Rihanna’s Last Girl on Earth promises to be a visual spectacle on a scale unlike anything she has accomplished in her already legendary career.

Released in November 2009, Rihanna’s fourth studio album Rated R debuted atop the Billboard R&B Albums chart at #1 and was the biggest first-week Soundscan tally of Rihanna’s career. Nicki Minaj struggles to sell tickets to her Pink Friday 2 World Tour

Nicki Minaj is struggling to sell tickets to the second U.S. leg of her Pink Friday 2 World Tour.

The tour opened at a sold out arena in Oakland, California in March. After the successful first U.S. leg, Nicki took the tour overseas in May.

The tour grossed over $34.9 million from the first 17 shows alone, according to DailyMail.com .

But now Nicki is having difficulty selling tickets for the second leg of the U.S. tour.

Seating charts for the opening night in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on September 4 show that not one section of the venue has sold out.

It was also revealed that the hitmaker had become the female rapper with the most concerts earning more than $2 million in ticket sales each. “We made female rap history as of today with how many sold-out shows and how many shows that have grossed over $2 million,” she said in a video uploaded to her Instagram at the time.”

During the first London show of her Eras Tour on June 21, Swift shared a sweet selfie with Prince William and his children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Prince William was there celebrating his 42nd birthday.

"Happy Bday M8! London shows are off to a splendid start 🇬🇧🇺🇸🤝," Swift captioned the photo, taken during the concert at London's Wembley Stadium.

The photo also features Swift's boyfriend, Travis Kelce, which is the first time she has shared a photo of the football player to her personal IG.

The official Kensington Palace X account also shared a photo from the event.

Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, attend London Eras Tour

The post read: "Thank you @taylorswift13 for a great evening! #LondonTSTheErastour." The photo showed Swift snapping a selfie, with Prince William , George and Charlotte who were sharing a laugh.

"Look at their faces. The Waleses are Swifties 😍," wrote one commenter.

Notably absent was Prince Louis who was home with mom, Kate Middleton.

This isn't the first time Taylor Swift and Prince William have crossed paths. In 2013, the pop superstar and the prince famously performed a duet of "Livin' on a Prayer" by Bon Jovi at a charity event.

The singer is scheduled to perform two more shows there before heading to Dublin, Ireland, next weekend.

Taylor Swift stunned concertgoers in Liverpool on Friday (June 14) night with a cover of “This Is What You Came For” by Calvin Harris and Rihanna .

Die-hard fans will know Swift co-wrote the 2016 smash hit under the pseudonym “Nils Sjöberg” while she and Scottish DJ Harris were dating.

During her second night at Anfield Stadium in the northwest of England, Swift performed the EDM single as an acoustic mash-up with her song “Gold Rush”.

In footage from the concert, Swift told fans that what they were about to hear might be “a little unexpected”, adding: “Let’s see how we do tonight.”

Swift has performed “This Is What You Came For” at least once before, when she headlined 2016’s Formula One Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.

Swift and Harris were embroiled in some controversy following their breakup in June 2016 after 15 months of dating. News that Swift had co-written “This Is What You Came For” broke less than a month after their romance ended and after Harris had dismissed the idea of collaborating with his then-girlfriend.

“You know, we haven’t even spoken about it. I can’t see it happening though,” Harris told Ryan Seacrest in April 2016.

After news of Swift’s involvement hit the press, Harris criticised the singer in a series of since-deleted tweets . “I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym,” he said.

“Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though.

“I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do,” Harris added, referencing Swift’s then-new romance with actor Tom Hiddleston .

Despite his string of angry tweets, the DJ later told British GQ that “it was completely the wrong instinct” to criticize Swift publicly. “I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled. It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped,” he told the magazine.

During the 100th show of her ongoing Eras Tour in Liverpool on Thursday night, Swift announced when the record-breaking run of shows would officially come to an end.

“I think a lot of people are like, well, how are you going to celebrate the 100th show?” she told the screaming crowd.

“And for me, the celebration of the 100th show for me means this is the very first time I’ve ever acknowledged to myself and admitted that this tour is gonna end in December. Like, that’s it.”

Swift went on to say that the tour has “become my entire life” and claimed that she no longer remembers her hobbies because “all I do when I’m not on stage is just like sit at home and try to think of some clever acoustic song mashups and thinking about what you might like to hear”.

The Eras Tour is the highest-grossing tour of all time, having generated over a billion dollars in revenue. The final date currently announced is in Vancouver, on Sunday December 8, 2024, which will be the 152nd show of the tour.

In a five-star review of Swift’s first UK stop of The Eras Tour in Edinburgh , The Independent ’s Annabel Nugent wrote: “Nostalgia is a powerful thing and tonight, Swift uncorks bottles and bottles of it, spraying it like champagne on an obliging, adoring audience. It’s like mainlining dopamine for three hours straight.”

Rihanna Is the New Face of Dior’s J’adore

The superstar succeeds Charlize Theron, who fronted the iconic fragrance for two decades

“The scent that I have known and loved for so long means so much to women,” the nine-time Grammy winner and mogul said in a brand statement released to WWD . “I am especially looking forward to joining this adventure and contributing to it through my world, my story, my roots, as well as my creativity and my own femininity.”

Actor Charlize Theron, the previous face of J’adore—whose commercials and other ads for the fragrance span two decades—is staying in the Dior family, now as a skincare and jewelry ambassador for the French fashion house. WWD also reports that the new campaign featuring Rihanna, shot by Steven Klein, will debut on September 1.

This announcement marks a new era for the iconic scent. First released in 1999, J’adore has since spawned several iterations, including an alcohol-free version called J’adore Parfum d’eau and J’adore l’Or , a purer version reimagined by Francis Kurkdjian, perfume creative director for Parfums Dior.

Rihanna is no stranger to the world of fragrance. She put out a collection of 11 perfumes with fragrance house Parlux, the first of which was released in 2010. And after social media went wild with reports that the singer smelled incredible, it was rumored she was a fan of Love, Don’t Be Shy by Kilian, a warm floral gourmand. Then in 2021, she gave fans the chance to really smell like her: Her first scent under her Fenty Eau de Parfum brand sold out within hours of launch—and then again and again, and is now available in both full- and travel-size versions, as well as in the form of a scented body cream . (It’s worth noting that Fenty and Dior are both part of LVMH’s portfolio.)

Taylor Swift Performs Calvin Harris and Rihanna's 'This Is What You Came For' as Eras Tour Surprise Song in Liverpool

This was a rare performance of the 2016 song by Swift, who co-wrote the track with ex-boyfriend Harris

Taylor Swift is shaking things up — and lightning strikes every time she moves!

For the first time since the start of her global smash Eras Tour, Swift performed a song alone during her acoustic “surprise song” set not originally released under her name — the 2016 hit “This Is What You Came For” by Rihanna and Swift’s ex Calvin Harris .

“Every single time I have an acoustic set, I’m always trying to think of things you might want to hear — maybe things that might be a little bit unexpected,” the pop superstar told the crowd . “Let’s see how we did tonight.”

On the record-breaking Eras Tour, Swift keeps fans on the end of their seat throughout the first three hours of her career-spanning setlist — leaving a spot toward the end of the show for an always-changing pair of songs (often one on guitar and on piano), which fans have dubbed “surprise songs.”

During the guitar performance in Liverpool, she added lyrics from her 2020 song “Gold Rush.” To round out her acoustic set, she played a mashup of the Midnights bonus tracks “You’re Losing Me” and “The Great War” for the audience in Liverpool.

When “This Is What You Came For” was first released in April 2016 — while Swift and Harris were still an item — the songwriting was credited to Harris and the pseudonym Nils Sjöberg, but following the pair’s split that June , news broke that Swift had penned the track under the fake name.

“I wrote under the name Nils Sjöberg because those are two of the most popular names of Swedish males,” Swift later told Paul McCartney in an interview for Rolling Stone . “And nobody knew for a while. I remembered always hearing that when Prince wrote ‘Manic Monday,’ they didn’t reveal it for a couple of months."

The pseudonym appeared again in Swift’s music video for “Look What You Made Me Do,” adorning a headstone in a graveyard, where Swift played a zombified version of herself.

The 34-year-old singer has only played the song twice since it was first released eight years ago: In October 2016, she debuted the song on the piano at the Formula 1 U.S. Grand Prix in Austin, and in February 2017, the “Cruel Summer” singer played the song again at a Super Saturday Night performance in Houston .

2016 was not the last time Swift faked out fans with false naming: On the songwriting credits her sister albums Folklore and Evermore as well as pop sensation Midnights , former beau Joe Alwyn took his songwriting credits under the pseudonym William Bowery . 

But during her Disney+ film Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions , she unveiled the mystery. "There's been a lot of discussion about William Bowery and his identity 'cause it's not a real person," she said. "William Bowery is Joe, as we know."

Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Leonardo DiCaprio are just a few of the many A-listers flocking to swanky members-only club The Ned NoMad for an ultimate luxury experience hidden away from prying eyes.

Page Six is taking our readers on an exclusive tour of the lower Manhattan mainstay, which is part of the Soho House & Co Inc. membership platform and offers VIP visitors access to several restaurants, party rooms, hotel suites and more.

“Celebrities like to come here because privacy is our top priority,” managing director Karin Kopano tells us of the social club, which just celebrated its two-year anniversary last week with a blowout bash and private performance by deep house icon Crystal Waters.

“They can have discreet check-ins, they have a special team that is dedicated to their needs before and during their stay, exclusive access to The Ned’s Club, as well as various dining experiences.”

Celebrities and members can eat, socialize, network and unwind inside the ritzy Ned’s Club: a curtained-off exclusive hub comprised of an atrium, a dining room, a library, a bar and an intimate space dubbed “The Snug.”

Sunlight pours in through the glass ceiling of the atrium and illuminates the stunning mirror-lined walls that inadvertently hinder any eagle-eyed spies from sneaking cell phone photos of celebrity guests.

“At The Ned’s Club, we have a no-picture policy because we value the privacy of our members and whoever is coming through our doors,” Kopano tells us. “We have our own security team and we’re very accustomed to dealing with celebrities’ security detail, getting to know the ins and outs to prepare the spaces for them.”

And when the sun sets and darkness fills the room, the house band takes to the stage and performs for a full room of chic partiers indulging in cocktails, caviar and cool conversation.

“Especially in the evening, especially toward the end of the week, it gets pretty lively,” Kopano says. “We do big parties there where we have a lot of celebrities coming.”

Doja Cat and Ice Spice twerked together at a corner table inside the private joint while celebrating New York Fashion Week last September.

Along with The Ned’s Club, stars have enjoyed the late-night party atmosphere of The Magic Room.

“This is a very special room,” Kopano says, noting that the low-lit lounge, which has its own outdoor terrace, has been used as an afterparty spot for musicians, comedians and athletes alike.

Swift and Gomez rolled through The Magic Room following the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. Kopano remembers the singers “having a great time, just being amongst their friends” – and far away from the paparazzi.

“It was a late night for them, that’s for sure,” Kopano recalls with a laugh. “The who’s who were at that party.”

The elegant space, which can host just 75 to 100 people, has a moody bar, elevated cocktail tables and a small stage where a piano often doubles as a DJ outpost for cocktail-infused evenings.

“At night time, it can turn into a nightclub vibe with dim lights and great DJs,” Kopano explains, noting that Madame Gandhi and Mia Moretti have been amongst the DJs recently spinning tunes at the venue. “It creates such a big energy and it’s so vibrant and people just love it.”

The walls are lined with paintings and photography from The Ned Nomad’s eclectic art collection curated by Soho House’s global art director, Kate Bryan.

“The art collection here is a true testament to the building’s rich history and vibrance,” Kopano shares. “Following the strong, women-led art program at The Ned London, we did the same here.”

The Ned Nomad has nearly 300 pieces throughout the building — some of which were “specifically commissioned” for the site and “highlight prominent figures from New York’s contemporary art world,” Kopano says.

Other stars who have been spotted moving and grooving in The Magic Room include Mark Wahlberg, Anitta and Offset.

For an even more intimate gathering, celebrities have often congregated in The Dome, a dreamy private supper spot perched atop The Ned Nomad’s sprawling rooftop.

Small VIP groups can gather inside the cylindrical space under a beautiful old-money-style chandelier and be surrounded by “breathtaking views of the city.”

The manicured rooftop features optimal al fresco seating setups and lush greenery and is connected to an art deco lounge with a large bar serving craft cocktails and fine wines.

As Page Six previously reported, “Gossip Girl” star Evan Mock hosted a rowdy celebration on the rooftop last February. Julia Fox, Aoki Lee Simmons and socialite Ivy Getty all attended the fête.

Likewise, Kendall Jenner recently co-hosted a GQ x FWRD soirée on the rooftop where guests like Emily Ratajkowski, Yung Taco, Shay Mitchell and Zack Bia sipped on the model’s 818 Tequila.

The property’s lavish hotel suites have also played host to some of the world’s most famous celebrities over the years.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky reportedly enjoyed a date night in one of the deluxe suites in August 2022. A month later, the “Diamonds” singer’s ex-boyfriend Drake was seen staying in one of the suites.

The Johnston Suite — which costs a staggering $5,000 a night — encapsulates the glamour of the Roaring ’20s and features a kitchen, living room, antique-style bedroom and private terrace space with an outdoor shower.

“We did have one celebrity stay there for a month while he was renovating his own apartment,” Kopano recalls of the 1,100-square-foot duplex.

“He had a special request that he wanted a special Japanese toilet that was about $5,000,” she adds. “We got it for him and we still have it.”

Kopano asserted that her team is used to accommodating “everything and anything” because “no is not an option.”

The luxurious Toto latrine is just one of the many lavish offerings made available to guests staying in the suites.

Upon check-in, “special VIPs” receive a surprise plush bathrobe that is custom-monogrammed with their name to make them feel right at home. Guests are also treated to daily fresh floral arrangements by Blondie’s Treehouse, Inc., and complimentary skincare and bath products by Cowshed .

“We have eight full-sized bottles of products to use [in the shower] depending on your mood. If you want something invigorating, if you want something calming, there’s an option,” she says.

“When you’re traveling to The Ned Nomad, you don’t have to pack anything. From a toothbrush, to a curling iron, to skin products — everything is there for you.”

Most rooms are equipped with stylish clawfoot bathtubs for guests to soak in after a long day of working or shopping.

The Broadway Suite, which has a starting rate of $2,800 per night, is famous for having a free-standing bathtub right inside the luxe bedroom and has been a hot spot for a handful of celebrity photo shoots.

The unique suite has custom-made velvet furniture, a fully-stocked mini fridge with top-shelf liquor and an adjoining room that celebrities often use for their security team or accompanying entourage.

As for the F&B, guests can dine or order room service from the beloved on-site restaurant, Cecconi’s, as well as several other eateries. Some favorite dishes to the stars include the buffalo mozzarella pizza and cheeseburger with crispy fries as well as cocktails like dirty martinis and spicy negronis.

We’re told a well-known comedian once ordered three rounds of the venue’s dill pickle martini during a business meeting, while a famous DJ who keeps their identity anonymous once ordered martinis to-go. We also hear a pop star who just turned 21 asked for the Negroni Bohemia to be bottled up and brought to her room.

Page Six is also told that a certain Grammy-winning artist “couldn’t get enough” of the grilled cheese truffle sandwich while getting ready for the VMAs with her glam squad in a suite. We also hear that a famous singer, who has performed during the Super Bowl Halftime Show, once enjoyed a delicious dinner on the roof with her rapper partner.

“A-listers like to come and dine at Cecconi’s, sometimes with a baseball cap,” Kopano says, assuring us, “But we make sure that they don’t have any fans around them and they can enjoy without anyone disturbing them.”

She adds that the back loading dock entrance to the venue is used by “very high-end VIPs that don’t want to come in through the front door.”

The Ned’s Club is a global brand with locations already existing in London and Doha, and a club opening soon in Washington, DC.

Rihanna is "starting over" with her ninth album

Last week, the star's 2012 single 'Diamonds' was RIAA certified Diamond and the track still means a lot to her.

The 'Umbrella' hitmaker hasn't released an LP since 2016's 'Anti' but now she's finally ready to get back into the studio again and plans to relisten to the music she's worked on over the last few years and decide if any of it is still relevant or interesting to her.

She told 'Entertainment Tonight': "I think that music, for me, is a new discovery. I'm rediscovering things. I have been working on the album for so long that I kinda put all that stuff aside and now I'm prepared to go back in the studio. I'm gonna start - give me a second!

"Yeah, I'm starting over. But I don't want to neglect the songs that I have, so I actually want to go back and listen to stuff with new ears, with my new perspective and then see what applies and what I'm still in love with."

The 36-year-old singer - who has sons RZA , two, and Riot , ten months, with A$AP Rocky - sparked a fan frenzy earlier this week when she was spotted in New York City wearing a t-shirt bearing the slogan 'I'm retired'. But Rihanna insisted fans have no need to worry.

She laughed: "People got triggered with that retired word. They were like 'We're never getting an album now.' No one read the other line, it was something about, 'This is as dressed up as I get.'"

She said: "Wow, I remember where we made it from the jump. It was in London, and I also remember performing 'Diamond' on tour.

"Performing it with all the lights...everyone puts their phone out at that very moment. And it's connected to my grandma. I literally think of her every single time I perform that."
