We stayed at Maesmawr Farm Resort for three nights in their Superior 2 (Condor) lodge - and stunning weather aside, had an amazing time! The park itself is nicely tucked away from the main road (with easy access to north, south and west Wales), surrounded by beautiful countryside, and immaculately kept. After a warm and friendly welcome, we checked into the lodge - which was furnished to a really high standard, and spotlessly clean. It had all the home comforts we needed - and a lovely touch was the basket filled with goodies waiting for us on the kitchen counter! The bubbling hot tub was perfect after a long day exploring the spectacular sights Wales has to offer (many within just an hours’ drive from the resort) - and came complete with privacy screening, which was a welcome feature. Nearby Newtown (a 15 minute drive away) has supermarkets and other amenities, and whilst we didn’t stop in Caersws village (a 10 minute walk away), it has several great looking pubs and a very handy shop and fuel station. We’ve stayed in quite a few lodges at quite a few parks, but this is up there with the best. We will definitely be back!

We stayed in a safari tent, was a lovely relaxing experience , the hot tub being the highlight of the stay , was undercover so bliss even in the rain . Plenty of room and was spotless , even had 3 heaters for chilly nights , which was really cosy . Secure dog exercising field was great . Welcome pack was much appreciated . My only recommendations would be a few more kitchen utensils , colander , cork screw and glass rather than plastic glasses for adults , and just extra seating for living area maybe an extra sofa . Otherwise 10/10 . Beautiful Indian called Gulshan in Newtown - worth a visit or for takeaway . Also website states BBQ but this is only a BBQ stand , disposable bbqs can be bought at reception .

We are staying with you as I write. Me and my fiancé stayed 2 years ago in a premium lodge called osprey but this time we chose a lodge called red kite. Staff are fantastic and great at communicating via email when I had queries after booking. Staff allowed us to check in early at 230pm rather than 4pm as it was my birthday on arrival which was a lovely gesture. My Fiancé had also been emailing reception without me knowing to arrange balloons, banners and flowers being delivered to the lodge which they helped sort out. On check in the lodge was absolutely beautiful, the cleaners had also decorated the lodge lovely for my birthday. The lodge was clean, well equipped and we couldn’t fault it. It has everything you need and staff around the park are so friendly and will help you. The man who checked the hot tub came over to speak to us on the first day and saw it was my birthday and came back with a bottle of Prosecco. On the 2nd day the lady who checked the hot tub came back with some fly spray and a candle to help with the flies (there is so many but this is due to the location and the weather) we had the added bonus of lovely weather too. The decor in the lodge is lovely and every lodge has its own unique decor. The park itself is well kept and has lovely views, added bonus of sitting on the decking and using the hot tub. There is also bbq trays on the decking and we enjoyed a bbq one night. So far such a brilliant stay and we don’t want it to end, so much that we have booked another lodge for next year. We visited here mid June - what an amazing friendly place - we were greeted with a small welcome pack and an awesome lodge - everyone was so friendly on site and the dog my boy was so welcomed so if you want a holiday with the dogs choose here - there was even a dog exercise field to let the dogs off lead - it was amazingly quiet a get away from the hustle and bustle of London and I can honestly say despite the awful journey home we were very sad to go and are looking to book our next visit - we saw so many amazing views but still have loads to see - just a precaution many of the attractions are accessible by very narrow country roads so make sure your not driving your Porsche lol 😂 . Staff lovely lodge amazing , site beautiful what are you waiting for.

Absolutely lovely holiday site. Friendly staff… my fiancé arranged for a local florist to deliver flowers and there were in the pod when we arrived , along with chilled Prosecco in the fridge. I also received a birthday card aswell and that along with the welcome goodies were a nice touch. We stayed in the studio pod and it had everything you could need and more. The hot tub was perfect and immaculately clean. The decking was lovely , such a sun trap and the surrounding views were perfect. Lots to do in the surrounding area, we visited; Llandinam Hills, Elan Valley, Clywedog reservoir and Hafren Forrest …all a must visit if you are staying here. A shop 5 minutes drive in caersws was handy too!! Very dog friendly, the decking is enclosed with a secure gate, dog exercising field off the site and to the left which is again fully enclosed. The only negatives I would say is the sofa bed (which is used for sitting on whilst watching TV) is very uncomfortable. Every time you sit down you can feel the bars behind you. Didn’t ruin our stay as the weather was so nice we spent most of the days and evenings outside. Lastly , we were asked to strip the bed before leaving, no problem. But when we pulled back the bottom sheet there was stains all over the mattress. I am so glad we seen this at the end of our stay and not at the start. There should definitely be a mattress protector on there at-least or better yet a new mattress. Overall we had a fantastic stay, very romantic setting and would return again one day in the future.

We have just returned from a two night break at Maesmawr Farm Resort. The pod was clean at the surface, however when we lifted the sofa bed it was very dirty, with remains of biscuits and other food that had been left there. There also seems to be a fly problem, that other guests have also mentioned in previous reviews, keeping all windows and doors shut to keep the flies out can make the pod feel a bit stuffy, so not sure how to get around this. As well, the weekend we arrived they had problems with the WIFI so we didn't get to connect the whole tie we were there. However, overall the pod and the hot tub seemed clean. We were also welcomed with a hamper, which was a nice touch! Just to add.. there is no oven, so plan what you are going to cook as the microwave oven isn't great!

Just returned from a long weekend stay in one of their studio pods- could not have had a better time! Welcomed on Friday by a lovely lady on the reception who proceeded to advise us of the pods features and advise which one we were, upon entering it is very clean and tidy, very compact but you expect this when you book. The pod has 2 double sofa beds, large fridge freezer, hob, combi grill/microwave, large table with two extra seats, plates, cutlery, flatscreen tv, WiFi, utensils etc. There was also a welcome hamper on arrival which was a lovely surprise and the jacuzzi all ready to go for us was perfect. Sofa bed- it’s definitely not as bad as some people make out, I was worried prior to going about this but you do get what you pay for. If you’re looking for luxury or have trouble sleeping anyway then one of the cabins is better suited as they are fully furnished, but for a young couple with our dog this was fine for us. Location wise it is easy to find, there is a village about a 3 minute drive away for all the essentials and then NewTown is only about 10 minutes down the main road with more takeaways/ pubs etc for you to choose from. We took the guest arrival books advice and went to Borth animal Zoo (about a hour and half away) and Devils bridge (about 25 minutes from the zoo) whilst there, both dog friendly too which was a plus!, and they were lovely days out which I would definitely recommend. A close takeout place also for that night you don’t fancy cooking- Baba Ali’s in Newtown was nice enough. Overall it was a great stay and I’m already looking to book this coming Friday for my stay next year 😆- but for longer this time so those getaway blues don’t set in quite so quick!

Just got home from our weekend stay at Maesmawr Farm Resort. We were welcomed by a lovely lady at check in who told us which pod was ours. Our pod was lovely very clean and tidy. Had everything in which was needed, and the welcome hamper was a nice gesture too. Hot tub was amazing! Was very private from other lodges and pods too. Would of definitely got 5 stars if beds were more comfortable, but definitely not as bad as some previous reviews.

I've just returned from a 3 night stay in pod number 3. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the pod was very clean and was exactly like it was advertised. The farm resort is set in a beautiful area with amazing views. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and was much appreciated! The hot tub was also amazing - it was checked twice a day ( early morning and later afternoon). It was very private which was a bonus, as some of the hot tubs in the lodges and tents were quite open. Although we was happy with our pod, we did encounter a couple of problems. We did not sleep very well the first night,the bed was extremely uncomfortable and we was over run with flies!!!!! The second day we ensured all windows and doors were shut - this solved the fly problem. The comfort of the bed still remained a problem, we used the spare quilt to put over what we thought was a mattress, on closer inspection the bed is actually a hard sofa bed with a very thin mattress topper on. We knew there was nothing else we could have done about this so we certainly didnt look forward to sleeping in the bed for the third night! The shower is not powerful at all and is not very hot, but this was not a major problem! Overall, I would definitely reccommend the pods if they had more comfortable beds and I would also recommend ensuring windows and doors are shut at all times - especially the door near the hot tub!

Very clean, lovely welcome basket on arrival. We were arriving late so reception left our safari tent open for us. Not as secluded as photos on website suggest, if you’re sat in the hot tub the caravans across the way get to watch you 🙈 hairdryer and electric fire didn’t work but no big deal for us. Wires for TV very exposed, suggest boxing them in to make it look tidier. Very easy to find the site.
