For a break from western cuisine we had dinner in this small Chinese restaurant. We had a stir fried vermicelli with beef, tofu with fungus and char siu fried egg (off menu but a very common dish in Hong Kong that the chef agreed to... make for us). The chef is from Hong Kong, and just by hearing the sizzling noise in the kitchen we knew we were in the right place. Having factored in limitations in getting all the right ingredients in France for Chinese food I would say this is very authentic Hong Kong cooking. For €28 this dinner is best value among all meals we had in France. More

This lovely little place is now 100% vegetarian, and the staff know will happily tell you which dishes are vegan. I had the assortiment vapeur, and it was a delicious vegan dim sum spread.

Myself and three friend went to this restaurant last night and walked away disgusted by the attitude of the staff. The food was of average to taste. We had to wait an exceeding amount of time to have our order taken and then when waiting... to have our bill brought over. After we finished our meal the staff completely ignored us for 20+ minutes while we tried to get their attention. In the end I got sick of waiting and went up to the counter to ask for the bill. The old woman who was supposed to be serving us was sitting at one of the tables an on requesting a bill she scoffed and then continued to ignore us, we then waited another 10 nineties to have our bill brought over. This restaurant was the worst experience I have had in a restaurant and I think the attitude of the staff was disgusting and rude, avoid the restaurant if at all possible More

One of the good option to have different choice of food. Varieties are quite different and one can really enjoy the time here.

After a full day of site seeing in the Tarbes area and beyond, found Le Hong Kong for dinner. The restaurant is close to the hotel, the perfect place for dinner after a full day of driving about the area. The choices for dinner buffets were adequate. The taste of Lobster and foie gras was acceptable. The size of dessert was appropriate and then we could taste more. White wine was a highlight point in dinner buffet. The environment was relative hygiene because dishes were... placed on our table after we ordered. The buffet breakfast menu at gloucester luk kwok is a great way to start the day plenty on offer and the staff very attentive. The food is fresh and a mix of western and asian.

My family had a buffet dinner at Luk Kwok Hotel for several times in view of its value for money and food. You can be there by bus or MTR, Wanchai.

Excellent international menu. Open to suggestions and changes to the dishes. Amazing service, maitre and waiters do the best to satisfy your needs. Open till 11.00 pm. Very busy at lunch time.

如果係幾年前話去灣仔六國酒店食自助餐，大家都會話好抵吖，因為$300可以落樓，當然一分錢一分貨是正常的，但酒店方面近年就算在疫情下，依然大膽革新，將 Le Menu 砍掉重練，關門整整一個作豪裝，由菜色到傢俬食具，全部都換上新貨，令人有耳目一新的感覺。 入口處是誘人的甜品櫃，左手邊是海鮮及刺身吧，再來是熱葷及Carving Station，而大廳盡頭的大相片，正是第一代六國酒店大堂的照片，見證著酒店的悠久歷史。 今次裝潢，似乎是對昔日繁華作出致敬，窩釘包皮的沙發，復古吊燈，串珠垂簾，都隱約回到上海灘杜月笙的年代。 置身其中，時間都彷彿慢走幾圈。 既然裝潢已經有亮麗的感覺，食物當然也不能馬虎。 老實講，我食Buffet過百次，但從未試過一個自助餐有咁多回本菜色。 當中單係花膠，已經涵蓋了沙律、湯、熱葷及麵類，更何況仲有鮑魚、龍蝦、特級牛扒、蟹蓋、焗蠔同海參？真係超誇張。 而且由即日起至9月30號，每位客人獲贈送Kir Cocktail一杯。 海鮮 海鮮陣容已經比之前作三級跳，不單有肉質爽彈，蝦膏紅彤彤的波士頓龍蝦。 更有麵包蟹及咖菲蟹兩款又係爆膏的蟹類，環顧香港自助餐的確少見。 加上甜美的蟹腳、煙韌的東風螺、嫩滑的青口同爽甜的熟蝦，這個海鮮陣容無得輸，講真，有本事食兩隻蟹加龍蝦差不多可以回本。 刺身 刺身陣容又係不容小覷，有象拔蚌、馬刀貝、八爪魚、甜蝦、吞拿魚及三文魚。 簡單的來一碟4人份，已經覺得澎湃，食落又無雪味，爽甜有致，超正。 熱葷 食自助餐多年，就當我見識少，芝士蘑菇焗蟹蓋真係第一次見，要知道如果係酒店中菜廳食蟹蓋，閒閒地可以收你百幾二百蚊一隻，家陣係可以任食，係咪有點離地的感覺呢？ 芝士焗蠔表層的芝士焦糖化，色澤金黃，洋溢著芝士的香味，火喉啱啱好。 標題有提過，就先講燴花膠，並非碎濕濕貨色，炆得入味又夠稔。 再來燴海參，每隻都有食指粗，爽口美味，又係女士恩物，必食。 個人建議，可以的話食全時段，因為燴鮑魚同清蒸星班當晚係第二時段替換，其實相差只係$100，又可以慢慢食仲好啦！ 其實食完上述主打菜色，基本上已經飽過一半，但我想講，其他主菜都好有水準，值得留返些少胃納去試試。 先推介白酒青口，一來份量輕盈，食十隻八隻不覺飽，二來肉嫩滑溜，不錯。 再來是清爽的竹笙時蔬，畢竟食得太多肉類，來點菜蔬清清腸胃。 至於欖油香草燒比目魚，屬於西式魚類菜，與中式蒸石班，又是另一種風味。 加上鮮蘋果黑毛豬柳、黑啤雜菜燴羊肉、馬來西亞咖哩、蠔油鴨掌、3.6牛乳海鮮蒸蛋白、海南雞、菠蘿海鮮炒飯以及天婦羅，這個熱葷陣容超強。 Carving Station 一般 Carving Station 都以提供扒類為主，但我個人強烈建議要試試，且聽我娓娓道來。 美國特級有骨肉眼扒配 Yorkshire Pudding 因為燒得太好，而且係自助餐中可說肉質一流，當然來片厚切，有同行朋友更加連骨都不放過，因有油香嘛！ 自助餐有 Yorkshire Pudding 比較少見，外層焦香而內裡軟綿，淋燒汁再加牛扒一齊食，真係以為去左扒房。... 不怕膽固醇，可以整返件鴨肝，好彩係細細件，入口即化的感覺真好。 又到龍蝦上陣的時間，即煎鐵板燒龍蝦、虎蝦、扇貝及和牛粒。 熱食龍蝦與凍食係兩種風味，當然要試試；扇貝煎得緊熟，肉質柔軟，大可encore。 胃納大的的朋友，不妨來一件片皮鴨。 湯 西湯是濃稠的龍蝦湯，配件法包一流。 而中湯是原盅淮山杞子燉花膠湯，醇厚芳香，火喉足，當然要飲。 灼料吧 又係花膠出場。 主食有花膠鮮蝦烏冬及花膠雞肉拉麵，而湯底是豬骨湯及雞白湯，花膠係大大塊，食得好滿足。 Cold Cut 及 Salad 必食有麻辣秋季花膠沙律同泰式柚子花膠沙律，因為加入了花膠元素。 至於龍蝦Jelly同海鮮Jelly，口味都幾創新。 當然仲有較常見既凱撒沙律、刁草煙三文魚、莎樂美腸、Coppa Ham及菠菜蛋批，試過三文魚同蛋批，水準不錯。 芝士 有車打芝士、丹麥藍芝士以及 Brie Cheese。 甜品 甜品凍櫃就在入口處，全都是自家製作，除了迷你版供自助餐享用外，更有足本原個版，好讓客人選購。 先推介即製窩夫，蛋漿調教得好好，焗完有好強的蛋香又微脆，而師傅落蛋漿的份量恰到好處，兩邊一合一轉，不見有多餘的蛋漿流出，焗好亦無須用較剪修飾，熱辣辣再加杯雪糕，美味。 而香脆的芒果拿破崙就想師傅重手些少，放多兩片芒果肉就最好。 甜品仲可以食埋芒果糯米飯、Créme Brulee、班蘭椰汁奶凍、荔枝玫瑰紅莓蛋糕、焦糖蘋果芝士蛋糕、柚子蘆薈果凍、藍莓芝士餅、杏仁香梨蛋糕、雜果忌廉蛋糕、葡撻以及麵包布甸。 雪糕有Häagen-Dazs提供，有Cookie & Cream、朱古力及士多啤梨三款口味，而且係小杯裝，既衛生又方便，食多幾杯無問題。 仲有 Mango & Raspberry、Chocolate Choc Almond以及 Matcha Green Tea & Almond三款雪糕雪條。 飯後果有西瓜、菠蘿及哈蜜瓜。 趁仲未有太多人知，係時候走返轉啦！ More

This restaurant is located in the Gloucester Luk Kwok Hotel, located on the 2nd floor (1st floor in HK) this is the accompanying Western Restaurant across from the Cantonese Restaurant. Serving both Buffets and A la cart, my experience so far has been limited to... their breakfast. I have to say the service and the food quality, variety and value (HK$168.00 plus 10% service charge) are all above standard! They serve both western & oriental items, amazingly their dim sum ( shrimp sui mai, beef sui mai ) are of high quality, I am guessing they are made by the Chefs at the Canton Room across the hall. With this positive experience, I am planning to try their lunch or dinner buffet!! More

The breakfast buffet provides a good selection of dim sum, fried noodles, steamed rice rolls, in addition to more "western" fare - sausages, scambled eggs etc. They have fruits, cereal, yoghurts.

Had the dinner and breakfast buffet at the restaurant. The dinner buffet had good selections of sushi, shashimi, fresh seafood, roast duck , cooked seafood , noodles and variety of other dishes and desserts. Staff were efficient to clear used plates and to top up... food items. The discount in place is worth it but without the discount, it is on the big side and there may be better places at the high price . Breakfast had some Asian and western dishes. Like the dim sums, congee and the western dishes are the regular bacon, eggs, hash browns, beans, etc... The buffet lunch has very good selection of hot and cold dishes including sashimi and sushi, cold cuts, smoke salmon, salads, prawns, mussels etc. The cooked salmon are excellent. Food are replenish very quickly. Hot drinks and cold juices are all included and self served.... Desserts have several selections and once finish they will replenish with different cakes. Those who like ice cream will love the Hagan Daz ice cream service counter which has at least 8 flavours and you can have them with cone and waffles as much as you like. The dining room is a spacious area, not very pleasant in that respect, but the food is good and nicely presented. The restaurant was full of locals, so the food must be great quality. It includes just everything from soups to fish, mussels, prawns, clams,... just all types of Chinese meat and rice, even desserts. More

Il est sans doute préférable de réserver. Ici vous pourrez goûter à... la cuisine asiatique végétarienne. La patronne est aussi cuisinière. Alors parfois on a un peu d'attente, mais celle-ci est largement compensée par la qualité des plats, par la saveur subtile et par le plaisir que nous avons pris à les déguster. Nous avons accompagné le repas d'un thé au jasmin servi à volonté. Le Hong Kong est assez ancien et réputé. Les menus sont compris entre 12 et 20 euros le midi. One of the oldest hotels in Hong Kong is the definition of luxury. 13 photos offer a glimpse inside Art Basel's hotel partner, The Peninsula.

Steps away from the glistening Victoria Harbour sits the Peninsula Hotel.

The flagship hotel in the Peninsula Hotels group, which boasts properties worldwide, opened in December 1928, making it one of the oldest hotels in Hong Kong. The original building only housed six floors and was the tallest building in the city when it was built.

Now, the hotel has a 30-story tower, more than 50 hotel suites, nine restaurants and lounges, a spa, and what they call a "shopping arcade," or an intimate mall featuring Chanel, Harry Winston, and other luxury brands.

The iconic hotel, one of the official hotel partners of Art Basel Hong Kong , sponsored by the global lead partner UBS, is nestled right on the Kowloon Peninsula in Tsim Sha Tsui. Thanks to their Art in Resonance program, it's also home to four memorable art pieces featuring "emerging and mid-career" artists. I toured the 5-star hotel and saw exactly why the Peninsula provides the best in hospitality and accommodations, from the hotel's helicopter pad, which has welcomed Bon Jovi and Tom Cruise, to the gym that Madonna specially requested be outfitted in the hotel's biggest suite.

When you first walk up to the hotel, you're greeted by an art installation in the hotel's signature green.

Kingsley Ng, a visual artist based in Hong Kong, was the creator behind the art installation affixed to the hotel's exterior. During Art Basel, " Esmeralda ," as it's titled, was unveiled revealing a sky-high art moment that mimics water waves.

You're also greeted by a fleet of Rolls-Royce cars.

Before you enter the hotel, guests know they'll be treated to a luxury experience thanks to the Rolls-Royce fleet parked outside. The hotel has 14 Rolls-Royce Extended Wheelbase Phantoms on hand for guests to use.

Every car is in the hotel's signature green with a peanut butter leather and wood paneling interior.

The cars are facing two stone Chinese lions, placed outside the hotel for protection, according to Kylie Cheung, the hotel's assistant director of communications.

There's also a vintage Rolls-Royce tucked away in the hotel's basement.

Housed in the garage is the hotel's most precious member of the fleet, a 1934 Rolls-Royce Phantom II , a tailor-made car that belongs to the Kadoorie family. The family owns the Peninsula Hotel Group along with China Light and Power, an electricity company servicing most of Hong Kong.

The car, built in antique fashion, is preserved beautifully. I got a chance to sit inside the car, to feel the buttered leather under my hands. There's even a rotary telephone inside the vehicle, a call back to an earlier time before cellular phones and devices.

The hotel lobby is lavish. It features tall white columns with 76 hand-painted gargoyles on top.

Walking inside the hotel, you're met with two sides, both for dining.

The hotel's communications director told Business Insider that the middle of the lobby was previously used as a dance floor and that men and women would sit separately on two sides "so as not to cause embarrassment."

Today, the lobby is the place for the hotel's famous afternoon tea , held from 2-6 p.m. local time for a minimum cost of $350 Hong Kong dollars, or around $44. The all-day menu features an assortment of salads, pastas, sandwiches, and what they call "Asian specialties."

The lobby also houses an art installation by French artist Elise Morin. The art dune-shaped piece, titled "SOLI," comprises broken CDs, a nod to the piece's sustainable message.

The 300-room hotel has over 50 suites, including its finest, the Presidential Suite.

BI toured two of the hotel's suites, including the 4,000-square-foot Presidential Suite that's welcomed presidents, billionaires, and business leaders, according to Cheung.

The room, number 2608, is the picture of opulence thanks to marble floors, an executive dining table, a piano, and custom-made furniture.

Walking in, you're greeted by artwork, a 2011 wooden sculpture by Sun Yi titled "Dancer II." To the left is a media room where guests can relax and enjoy a movie.

If you'd rather look at the Harbour, floor-to-ceiling windows and a terrace offer the perfect unobstructed view.

A gym, specially requested by Madonna, sits in one of the suite's rooms.

As you move through the suite's dining room, if you walk too fast, you might miss the hidden full-sized kitchen, which features Miele appliances, a wine fridge, and an espresso machine .

Along with a bedroom comes a his-and-hers closet and bathroom. There's also a gym, the brainchild of Madonna. Yes, that Madonna.

When she stayed at The Peninsula, she didn't want to go downstairs to the gym, Cheung told BI, with the other hotel guests, and requested a gym be built inside the suite for her. It's stayed there ever since.

The cost for the entire suite? A mere $234,000 HKD or around $29,900 per night.

A smaller suite, costing about $2,000 per night, includes a spacious vanity area and closet.

If that price tag gave you a bit of sticker shock, don't worry. There are plenty of smaller, more affordable suites that aren't as grandiose as the Presidential Suite but are elegant all the same.

One of the smaller suites I saw included a dining room table, a living room with a faux fireplace, and a sitting area in the bedroom, along with a roomy closet and vanity area. The room even came with a nail dryer in case you need an impromptu manicure.

Outside The Verandah, a buffet-style restaurant, sits another art installation.

Lachlan Turczan, a native of Los Angeles, created one of my favorite art pieces with his water sculpture titled "Harmonic Resonance."

This kinetic sculpture moves water , thanks to submersible low-frequency vibrations.

When staring at the drum, I felt a sense of calm, feeling the remnants of the vibration through my feet. Looking at the sculpture reminded me that every cause has an effect.

A tucked-away music room also serves as the hotel's archive.

With such a history, the Peninsula Hotel also houses an archive of its achievements. It also serves as a soundproof room for the many musicians who've stayed at the hotel.

The hotel houses nine restaurants and lounges, featuring different cuisines.

Dining is one of the best aspects of staying at the Peninsula Hotel. The hotel boasts nine restaurants and lounges with two restaurants earning a Michelin star.

A Swiss chalet inspired Chesa, a manager told Business Insider. In fact, the entire interior of the restaurants was flown in from Switzerland.

There's also Spring Moon, which has earned a Michelin star and features Cantonese on its menu, a Japanese-inspired restaurant named Imasa, and Felix, which boasts "Contemporary European" cuisine, according to the hotel's website.

There are also two lounges, The Bar, and The Lobby, which I previously mentioned, and The Peninsula Boutique & Café that serves coffees and delicate pastries.

There's a reason Gaddi's has a Michelin star.

Business Insider tried a six-course meal at the French restaurant Gaddi's, led by Chef Albin Gobil. He recently earned a Michelin star, and it's easy to see why.

He's clearly a thoughtful artist who doesn't skip any detail regarding presentation. He also served a foie gras that was my best this year.

The experience is complemented by a dining room featuring chandeliers and textiles from the Ming dynasty, part of the private Kadoori family collection.

While shopping in the arcade, don't miss Saya Woolfalk's art installation.

According to on-site materials, Woolfalk's " Visionary Reality Portal ," is created by two kaleidoscope videos, 3D animation, live action, and hand-painted paper. The installation is meant to mimic the stained glass of churches.

Guests can skip Hong Kong traffic by landing at the hotel's private helipad.

Before walking out to the hotel's helipad, guests are treated to a small museum documenting the history of the China Clipper. The first plane, which could only go up about 10,000 feet in the air, lasted 10 years starting in 1935.

It's an area used for private dining and for going over safety precautions for anyone about to board the hotel's helicopter. And a few famous faces, including Tom Cruise and Bon Jovi, have walked this corridor since a helicopter is only an 18-minute ride from the city's airport, operator Paul Leigh, who's worked at the hotel for 30 years in various capacities, told Business Insider.

For any Batman fans, you might recognize the helipad from a 10-second shot in Christopher Nolan's 2008 film, "The Dark Knight," starring Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader and the late Heath Ledger as Joker.

Today, the hotel's helicopter is also used for many proposals. Leigh told BI he's never seen anyone say no to a proposal in the sky.

My birthday was hosted at Le 188 Restaurant and this place exceeded my expectations. Firstly the views are spectacular with unobstructed views of Hong Kong and Kowloon. The ambiance was cosy and relaxed. My friends and I had the chefs tasting menu and were thoroughly... impressed. The level of detail and care that Chef Muller put into each dish was apparent. Locally sourced seafood, explaining the techniques that went in to each dish and the combinations of flavours were fantastic! The staff were attentive and friendly to ensure we had drinks, water and anything we needed. They even brought different desserts to cater to our dietary needs and allergies. I would highly recommend for a special occasion, anniversary or any dinner where you want to impress your guest. More

Le 188° is a feature restaurant & Lounge at the Grand Harbour hotel in North Point. It is located on the 41st floor and offers a sweeping 188 degree view of Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong and Kowloon skylines. They have separate lunch, afternoon tea and... evening opening hours (6pm to 10.30pm) daily and it is well worth making reservations if you want one of the tables in the main restaurant area. We visited Le 188° recently for an evening round of drinks and snacks and were very pleased with the outstanding views, particularly impressive when sky conditions are good. Manhattan (classic cocktail) and Snowy (signature cocktails) were well mixed and decent drinks. The mini wagyu beef sliders were just ok. Service was very timely and helpful when we arrived but distance and slow after ordering. Overall, not sure about the food and the service could have been better. However, we'd gladly return for a round of drinks and to enjoy the views at Le 188°. These are some of the best waterfront views you'll find in the city. More

A few years ago I attended the wedding of a friend at this hotel. When I was searching online last night for a cozy place for lunch, I noticed this restaurant. We were both immediately taken by the magnificent view that overlooks Hong Kong’s amazing... harbour.We thought that perhaps the trump card of this restaurant was the view but the food has not disappointed us. The standards of service of the staff from the receptionist to Michelle the waitress who attended us and Andrew the manager who wearing a very heartfelt and broad smile, said their GM had reminded them that we the customers are the most important element in their hotel). They greeted us with a Giant Bunny 🐰 and with plenty of Easter 🐣 chocolate eggs. Thoroughly Recommend👍🏻 More

We came for birthday celebration. Overall rated service and food 3star only. We ordered a lunch set. The starter was good and on time. After the soup, they have a time frame of 30mins gab without checking on the main dishes. The couple whom seated... after us had finished their main dishes and yet our main dishes not be served. We ordered the Beef Cheeks and lamb cutlets. The beef was well cook, well garnish. The lamb was well garnish however after the first cut the meat was raw in the middle. Request for a re-cook for the lamb, it came out still some of the parts was raw unable to cut. Desserts was served with a candle. They manager greet my husband Happy Birthday and light up the candle. Overall felt like we were forgotten as the table we seated was not in the centre of the restaurant and they do not have well trained staff. They will try to avoid to have eye contact when we raise for help. I hope they can improve the service level and pay more attention to the table and customer needs. More

We had a fantastic birthday dinner at le 188. After having a mixed experience staying at the Harbour Grand - we found the service and attention to detail of staff at le 188 to be excellent. The restaurant enjoys some of the best views in... Hong Kong and we highly recommend the 7-course tasting menu. This is also an excellent location to enjoy drinks on the terrace. I was at Le 188 for their afternoon tea set. On a clear day, it has one of the best views of Hong Kong I have seen. It doesn't where you sit, you get a really nice view. The afternoon tea set is HKD$588 for... 2 people on weekdays and HKD$638 for 2 people on weekends. Not unreasonable priced and you get both savoury and sweet items. Quite fancy for an afternoon tea set and modern. There is a traditional scones but also an abalone & blue crab meet hor d'ouvre. Service is a little aggressive. When we sat down, they wanted us to order right away and then they bring you the bill around 4 pm. But on this trip to Hong Kong, I am finding all the service a bit underwhelming. Still I would definitely recommend just for the view alone. More

From evening to sunset, take a close look at the dark scenery and the restaurant on the high floor, that was a comfortable and nice environment for the dinner. Maybe I called to make a reservation two days before, so the seat location was not... too good. But still the seats on the side can see the high-altitude view and the design of the high-rise floor. I can see the coast from the side. At night, I saw the traffic lights that decorated the highway along the sea in the dark. Set dinner has an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert. If you want wine from the set dinner, you add extra fee to have drink liquor, red wine or champagne~ Moreover, every time the food is served, the waiter will Introduce dishes. I like this arrangement as it just like the service in the Michelin's high-end restaurant that i went before. This is a restaurant worth visiting again! More

Best restaurant to view the beautiful Victoria Harbour ❤️ you rarely get 270’ view of Hong Kong from a high floor. My husband and I were truly in love with the food, service and scenery this restaurant offers. The four-course menu was scrumptious and reasonably-priced.... We could admire harbor view from the restaurant. Black truffle was special rich in mango crab roll, chocolate mousse cake and cheese cake. The staffs were friendly and helpful. Good location. More choices in beverages will be better. We enjoyed tea set and happy hours.

We had a wonderful meal here on our last night of a 3 week trip around China. The views from the restaurant are absolutely amazing and we timed it so we could view the light show. We visited the restaurant to celebrate our friend's bday. To be honest, foods still have rooms to be improved and that's why i rated it 4 stars. The view there is excellent. But the most impressive point is the service. You may say it is... expected for a restaurant in a 5 star hotel. But if you have chance to meet Kelvin there, you would say the service is superb. Memorable and Tasty Experience in French Fine Dining A must-go dinner option for dates, friends, family, business, etc. With an immense night view of Hong Kong harbour and skyscrapers, the dinner is an unparalleled enjoyment. Each dish is well balanced and presenting the chef’s philosophy... of food and cooking. The chef is friendly and willing to have a nice conversation with guests. Here are the courses I had on the other day to provide some ideas. PS: Opera cake is always my favourite but have you tried a Green Tea Opera? It was having a love song playing on your palate.
