Feeling active? Today you could hike to the summit of Gros Piton, part of the Piton mountain duo. The UNESCO World Heritage Site offers stunning views from the top which encourages hikers, with a good level of fitness, to reach the top and relish in the vista. Guided hikes can also be booked through a local representative.

The location of this resort serves as a great base to explore the south of the island. Hop in a taxi to the nearby town of Soufriere where you can spend the day exploring. A short walk from there will take you to the Diamond Botanical Gardens where you will find the Diamond waterfall and a selection of tropical flora.

A short sail will take you to the northernmost island in the Grenadines, the picturesque island of Bequia. Located on the islands west coast is Bequia’s main harbour, Admiralty Bay. Here in the island’s only real settlement, Port Elizabeth, you’ll find a variety of shops, boutiques, food markets, small hotels as well as a number of bars and restaurants.

The Tobago Cays Marine Park is comprised of five tiny deserted islands and the surrounding waters, which are only accessible by boat. The area boasts some of the best snorkeling in the Caribbean due to its horseshoe reef located just offshore, creating a calm lagoon for the islands filled with incredible turquoise waters and abundant marine life.

Superb, for once you do actually get what you pay for!

We were recommended Audley Travel by friends who had used them for their honeymoon in South Africa. We went to Thailand and Audley excelled. Our expert Anna was exactly that, great recommendations, wasn’t phased by our requests to tweak our arrangements and the 3 weeks went without a hitch. 99% our our experience was fabulous, and the 1 element we found slightly amiss was out of Audrey’s control. I had always wanted to go to the floating markets of Bangkok but did not agree with the use of drugged slow lorises for the purpose of tourist photographs. This was discussed with Anna on our return and I was assured as a company that focuses on high animal welfare, this option would be addressed. The standard of our transfers, hotels and experiences was superb. Our two highlights were Anantara hotel with both the elephant experiences in The Golden Triangle and The Sarojin hotel in Khao Lak; just exceptional. Will definitely be using Audley for future trips.

Botswana 2024

We have just returned from our third safari trip to Botswana, each organised through Audley Travel, and felt it was time we wrote a review in order to let others know what a fantastic company they are but also to sing the praises of the specialist we used Alex Cooke. Alex’s knowledge of, not only Botswana itself, but its camps and wildlife cannot be faulted and can be totally relied upon. He is keen to hear about your expectations, wants and needs and works to ensure that these are met at every level. From the booking process right up to the day of departure Alex kept in touch with us to ensure that everything was going to plan and such contact was greatly received and was never intrusive. On our return from trips he is always keen to hear about all of our experiences, receive photos etc and it is always a great pleasure to share these with him. We can fully recommend Audley Travel ( who we have used on 5 previous occasions) and especially their specialist Alex Cooke. Yes…we have booked to return to Botswana in 2025 too!

South Africa March 2024

Our first experience with Audley travel, from a short conversation on what our travel likes and dislikes are to a full on video call within a week. Robyn Hutchons had put together a brilliant itinerary for our big trip. We didn't change a thing and signed up there and then. Classic Costa Rica

We had a great time in Costa Rica based on the Classic Costa Rica tour - communication at home was excellent and usually by phone which made things very personal. My only complaints are that we changed flights in Miami for which we needed an ESTA, which was mentioned in our written itinerary but not mentioned in communications, so we had a last minute panic getting this sorted. Also, our detailed itinerary was given to us by the ground agent in the taxi from the airport to our hotel when we arrived after a 22 hour door-to-door journey, which wasn’t ideal! This could have been done before we left the UK. Also, because we made a few changes/additions to the standard tour, some trips were not necessary. This could also have been addressed beforehand and given us a little more free time. Other than this the organisation, hotels and service were excellent.

Barcelona - Spring 2024

We had a fantastic family vacation in Barcelona thanks to the attention and care we received from Eric Carnes. Eric was genuinely interested in our family dynamic and was able to assist us with creating unique opportunities for our time together while experiencing Barcelona. We asked for many unique amenities from customized architectural tours to securing sporting event tickets. He was even able to accommodate our big ask of being in the middle of city in a multi-bedroom apartment with all of the perks of staying in a high end hotel. We highly recommend Audrey Travel and Eric Carnes.

A supper service - again

We used Audley for a rearranged 20th wedding anniversary trip. Arrangements were made last year for travel this year (2024). It's not the first time we have used Adley to arrange a significant trip and once again they were incredibly helpful, attentive to our needs, and invaluable in helping us when we had to rearrange our travel dates. Our agent, Sophie, was brilliant at keeping us informed and managing all of our needs. We will certainly keep using them for when we are planning our next special holiday, as we trust their judgement and advice and know they will deliver the service they promise, as well as the little extras like the information pack that arrives a coupe of weeks before you travel. South Africa boutique style

We decided to book a trip to South Africa but didn’t know where to start. After engaging with a specialist Andy Freeman at Audley, the process was so easy and relaxing. A few calls with Andy, great questions to know more about us and what we wanted from the trip and presto we had an itinerary designed just for us. Each of our places we stayed were boutique with amazing service, our movement from Cape Town to Zambia then to Rockfig Game Reserve went without a glitch and Andy even checked in with us during the holiday- if you are thinking of an adventure give Andy a call and I’m sure he can design one of the most amazing life trips you could wish for.

Audley Great in Exotic Locations

We just got back from a trip to India and Bhutan. This is our 2nd trip with Audley and we would definitely use them again. They have excellent partners (both Audley and local partners) and we felt well taken care of. The trip was well organized and Jason did a great job in keeping us in the loop. My only feedback would be it would be great to see a more itemized bill - you just get one lump sum. But in locations that are difficult or out of the ordinary (like Bhutan) I would definitely go with Audley.

This was the trip of a lifetime!

This was the trip of a lifetime! My mum and I decided to go to Greece together-- we are both Classicists and wanted to see some of the best ancient sites. We've never travelled just the two of us and it was partially a celebration of my 30th, so we were wanted to go all out! We went with Audley because of the hassle-free itinerary and amazing reviews. It was truly excellent. Because we were doing a sort of ancient tour, the potential pit-falls of our trip would be travel within Greece. I really didn't fancy driving us around and having the stress of car rental etc. Audley completely resolved that issue with amazing drivers who were amazingly punctual. We had private tours for every site; every guide was so knowledgeable and helpful. We learned so much! Our guides were enthusiastic and patient when we needed to take rests. I wondered if having a guide might be awkward, as I've never done tours like that before, but it was anything but. Everyone was fab. The hotels were outstanding, particularly Ippoliti in Nafplio. They genuinely attended our every need, most of the time without us even needing to ask. Huge shout out to Lyta, our wonderful Audley correspondent, who made everything so straight forward. It made the most amazing trip ever and much of it was thanks to her. Overall, I got the impression that everyone was just super keen to help us make the most of the trip and make sure we were happy/comfortable. It felt like proper luxury! Laura Coughlin at Audley Travel is absolutely the best! If you have a desire to go to South Africa to visit Cape Town, go on Safari or visit Victoria Falls in Zambia she is the expert. To no surprise, every i was dotted and every t crossed. The transfer drivers always arrived on time whether at the airports or from lodge to lodge. Friendly and knowledgeable about the different townships or villages we drove through. They were great. A wonderful holiday with Audley Travel

From our first contact with Audley Travel to our return home, every aspect of our holiday was excellent. Our New Zealand specialist, Keshia, took on board all our requirements and put together a wonderful itinerary for us. We felt listened to the whole time, and were provided with plenty of information for our trip. Eg, travel routes, restaurant recommendations and suggested activities. Our flights and hotels were excellent and our booked activities just right. The Audley representatives in New Zealand contacted us within a few days of our arrival, but fortunately we did not need them. We loved every aspect of our four weeks in New Zealand, and did not want to come home! We cannot think of anything that could have been done better. We will definitely use Audley Travel again for our next grand holiday.

Fantastic end-to-end service to create our best holiday ever

Fantastic end-to-end service from the first conversation to the very last moment of our holiday. Our Japan trip was to be a trip of a lifetime

Our Japan trip was to be a trip of a lifetime. Once we paid our full trip cost we heard nothing though Asha From Audley said we would talk more about details of trip three weeks out. Three weeks came and we get an email Asha had a wedding to go to and then she will be in Korea. Long story short run from this agency. Asha built us an itinerary for a 30 year old we are in our late 60’s and 80’s. It’s sad when a trip of a lifetime is ruined by greed!

we returned last week from 3 weeks in…

we returned last week from 3 weeks in Zambia and South Africa ,although an expensive holiday the accomodations were terrific and everything went smoothly despite 6 flights in total . Tolyatti was named after Palmiro Togliatti, an Italian communist. It is the headquarters of Lada, a major Russian automobile manufacturer. The population is approximately 720,000, of which 110,000 are employed by Lada. In the 1950s, when the population was 12,000, the entire city was moved to its present location to allow for construction of the Zhiguli Hydroelectric Station.

Togliatti was the location of the Speedway of Nations in 2019. Motorcycle riders from Russia, Australia , Denmark , Great Britain , Sweden , and Germany contested.

Togliatti: A city shaped by cars, mountains and Italian Communist

The city's surroundings also have their places of interest. The great Russian river Volga amazes with its breadth, loftiness, expanse and beauty. A cruise around will be a real pleasure, as Zhiguli mountains are exceptionally picturesque in the background.

Togliatti is the second largest city in the Samara region, 500 miles southeast of Moscow. At the moment it has a population of about 720 thousand people.

The city's name was changed to Togliatti in 1964, after Palmiro Togliatti, the longest-serving secretary of the Italian Communist Party. Prior to this, it was known as Stavropol-on-Volga.

The city's main claim to fame has been automobile manufacturing by AvtoVAZ's Lada (Zhiguli) car plants, employing some 110,000 people: in cooperation with Italy's Fiat since 1970 and with General Motors since 2001.

In 2011 the Togliatti Special Economic Zone was first introduced to further develop the region and diversify the economy of the city. Several auto-component producers have since been registered, as well as large industrial manufacturers.

Togliatti has been considered as Russia's automotive capital. The car manufacturing company, covering an area of 500 hectares, was constructed in a record short time.

This particular car was promoted by the Russian President himself. Vladimir Putin make 2,000-kilometer drive across Siberia in this canary-yellow Lada Kalina in 2010.

The culture in the City of Togliatti is the unique phenomenon for a young Russian city that has an interesting 272 – year history.

Taking a bird-eye's view and you will admire how generous nature is to the city. Togliatti lies on vast steppes, on the bank of the Volga the great Russian river, close to the ancient Zhiguli mountains.

The city blends well with the surrounding land, keeping the harmony of nature.

The city's transport infrastructure is linked to the international airport Kurumoch, situated about 60 km outside Togliatti. Two railway stations and a river port are also available for external transportation.

Due to its unique geographic position Togliatti can be a continental level hub, connecting North and South Eurasia by waterway.
