It is a very cozy airstream in good condition for its age. The travel trailer is currently in use daily with the current owner. The current owner is a fan of Airstreams and is passionate about reconditioning throughout ownership. Stock #387828 Completely gutted and renovated 1976 Airstream Excella 500! Ready to hit the road! This 1976 Airstream Excella 500 travel trailer is ready for a new home. This Airstream Excella 500 travel trailer features updates throughout due to a recent remodel. It has a warm country club theme reminiscent of well-established golf clubs. Walking through the front, you walk into a cozy living area featuring plenty of windows, a soft leather sofa, and a cozy reading chair. The windows in the main living area wrap around the front of this Airstream, providing light and almost panoramic views. Also featured in the main living area are a solid hand-built table and a nice-sized television. It's worth pointing out that the dual storage bins above the chair are great for both reading material and supplies. Walking through the travel trailer to the left of the entryway is the kitchen. The kitchen features natural wood countertops over solid IKEA cabinets down the right side of the trailer. On the left side of the trailer, you'll find updated appliances, including a Frigidaire retro refrigerator with a separate freezer and a Black & Decker Microwave with a grill. Additional storage is found under the microwave via the IKEA chest of drawers. Moving through the kitchen, you step into the vanity area. This cozy space has a surprisingly well-appointed shower featuring dual shower heads, giving you that "in the rain" experience, and a small settee wrapped in beautiful bronze-colored walls. Behind the shower is another natural wood countertop with a deep copper basin and matching facet. Slightly offset from the sink is the updated toilet. The opposite wall is dedicated to the closet and storage space. Passing through the vanity area, you'll enter the large main bedroom. If you know anything about Airstreams, you can only imagine how comfortable this space is with the high ceiling and curved walls. 1976 Trillium 1300 fiberglass travel trailer/ scamp/ casita/ egg camper

I'am regretfully selling my 1976 Trillium travel trailer, circumstances have not allowed me to continue my restoration of my lovely little camper. I'am hoping it goes to someone that can finish her and not use her as a hunting cabin! It started out with the original orange, brown and yellow interior, it needed a lot of work! What needs to be finished on it is the easy part now. It has all new upholstery in Apple green, all new light birch lamented flooring, all old doors taken off, holes filled with fiberglass so there would be a clear view. I did not want doors. A new countertop with reed, glued to it as well as the table. My intensions were to pour resin over the top of post cards and beachy type things and the resin would seal everything over the countertop. This was going to be our Aloha camper. The stove top was taken out and a regular plug in cooktop to replace it. A new Martha Stewart Faucett is included which will need a very small round sink, a brand new Farberware cooktop is also included in an unopened box incase of not wanting to use or install a propane stovetop, the original was old and I really didn't care if I had propane or not. The inside of the trillium was painted 2 years ago and has held up excellent. I used primer Gripper and would use it again if I ever painted fiberglass again. I researched it well before ever painting my little camper because I wanted it done right the first time. The fiberglass was sanded, cleaned, primed and then painted. It has held up to the Michigan winters and the heat. These are the things that will need to be done.* New tires* windows put back in, brand new screws included, paid 25.00* Door and Awning put back on* T molding, needs to be ordered, can be ordered from Trillium* upper bunk reconnected* Faucett installed, and included, * surround top shelving put back in. * Break lightsOriginal title included, outside of trillium has been lightly sanded and is ready for paint.* Furnace cover replaced.* Comes with original water tank, needs install.* Original propane dometic fridge is untested.

This is a barn find that wasnt stored in a barn. Its pretty rough inside. It will most likely need a parts of the floor replaced. Most of the cabinets are not reusable. I do have a sink base and sink top from an 1988 airstream that I will throw in. It will need to be put back together but in good condition and solid wood door fronts. The airstream door needs a new window and the inside skin of the door needs to be reformed and riveted back for the door to work properly. One window is broken on the body and the door is missing the frame as well as the window. There are 2 big dents and a couple holes in the body. I was going to gut everything and replace the floor and make it into a guest house. I have 4 tires that are weathered but I hauled it 40 miles on them. The fourth rim should be replaced as it doesn't fit correctly but might be mounted properly with different lug nuts. This is a fixer and bill of sale only. Located in Morongo Valley, Ca.

1. 1976 25 foot airstream tradewind.

This gorgeous 1976 Airstream Tradewind “looks like it did in ’76” according to the owner,  as it’s never been modified, remodeled, or restored. The only damage was about three small dings from road wear. Even the glass is all original! This camper was ready for the new owner to take out the road immediately. This is an iconic example of a classic Airstream, and the owner got plenty of stares and comments every time they took it out. Vintage Fun Fact: Originally manufacturing travel trailers between 14 and 30 feet long, Fireball would eventually move to fifth wheel trailers and full sized motorhomes by the 1970s.

3. 1961 16 Foot Shasta Airflyte

In this camper’s current life, it was actually just used for a couple of years as advertisement at trade shows. The owner isn’t traveling anymore and hated to see this baby just sit, so it was unfortunately time to part ways. This camper was stored indoors for many years, and still has many of its original features, including the interior wood. The doors, screens, and windows are all original, as are the wings. Vintage Fun Fact: In 2014, to mark its 75th anniversary, Shasta produced 1,941 copies of their iconic 1961 Shasta Airflyte, starting at $15,000.

4. 1965 24 Foot Streamline Duke

This 24 foot Streamline Duke has been in storage for a few years until the owner simply ran out of room (which makes sense when you look at the size!) and had to sell. The owners ended up getting just under $6,000 once the auction was done. See the full listing.

Vintage Fun Fact: Two partners in Airstream decided to brand out on their own, and formed the Silver Streak company. When there was a disagreement over using a three rail foundation opposed to the traditional two, the Streamline company was born.

5. 1971 31 Foot Airstream Sovereign

Another iconic Airstream, this one is the largest on the list at over 30 feet long. With all the original interior, this camper is “99% lovingly restored.” The current owner didn’t even take it on the road, only using it in his backyard. 24 bid were enough to drive the price up to $7,899.99 See the full listing.

Vintage Fun Fact: The Sovereign was developed primarily for people who were living in trailers for extended periods of time and would relocate often.

6. 1961 17 Foot Mallard Drake

This camper was reconditioned after it took some hail damage, but a new paint job (hand-painted in vintage colors) helped seal the owner’s restoration and brought back all of the original charm to the tune of about $4,000. With a new luggage rack, new taillights, and beautiful wood paneling, the owners gave this camper a unique design you probably won’t see anywhere else.  See the full listing.

Vintage Fun Fact: Based in West Bend, Wisconsin, the Mallard company became known for their “Canvasback” camper which, when fully unfolded, looked identical to a prairie schooner covered wagon from the 1800s.

7. 1963 10 Foot Yellowstone

This 10 foot camper from Yellowstone is a fairly rare find. Maybe that’s why it sold for $4,000! It’s a small trailer, but it still has a great vintage look. It’s been retrofitted with modern amenities and was garage kept until the present owner had to move. The entire trailer has been primed and painted, and has new doors, floors, and wiring. Vintage Fun Fact: The Yellowstone Travel Trailer was built and sold in Wakarusa, Indiana, and was actually the trailer of choice for traveling carnival workers.

I enjoyed seeing your camper this past weekend. It has actually inspired me to put some more work into ours and get her all spruced up instead of looking at something newer. I just happened upon your blog here searching for pics of old campers, how fun. Thanks again.

Thank you for posting the blog about your trailer. Im debating fixing a ~22 foot Road Ranger myself. The wonderful pics have taught me much.
