One of the biggest problems you will run into when looking for a complete club set is the fact that they are all made for beginner golfers .

One of the things we love most about this particular Bazooka Golf Club set is that it will work for a beginner golfer all the way to a middle handicapper . 

The Bazooka Tour Edge 470 has a really great set makeup with a mix of fairways and hybrids that will have you set with all the golf clubs you will ever need to excel in this game.

Some may eventually add in a lob wedge , but you are undoubtedly fine to get by without it for a while. 

Shaft Options

The Bazooka Golf Clubs do not have any customizable shafts or shaft options. The woods are going to have graphite shafts, and the irons will have a stainless steel shaft in them. 

Some Bazooka sets do give you the option for graphite in the irons as well, but this will change the price slightly. You will also get a cart bag with the graphite shaft irons, with the steel shafts you get a stand bag. 

The flex is going to be a uniflex shaft that will feel very close to a regular stainless steel golf shaft. 

Look/Sound/Feel

Beginners golf clubs are known for being forgiving and relatively long , but they don’t always have a great feel. This is not the case with the Tour Edge Bazooka. These clubs feel like a traditional cavity back set of irons . If you want to hit a draw or a fade, you can. 

The clubs themselves are easy to hit, but they have a great look to them. Combine that with the styling and design of the stand bag, and you will not just be ready to golf, but you will look like a golfer!

Forgiveness

The sweet spot on the 460 cc driver is quite large. Even if you miss the center of the clubface on the driver, you will get plenty of distance with this golf club. The irons have a very low center of gravity with a wide sole that makes them easy to hit. 

Even the three and five wood have a slightly offset design to help you get the ball headed straight down the middle of the fairway. 

As far as weighting is concerned, the set is a little bit light . If you have a very fast swing speed or are extremely strong, you may want to look into a club set with even more durable stainless steel shafts than these. 

Considering this is a full club set with highly forgiving clubs, including fairway woods and hybrids , the price is pretty incredible.

You will have a hard time finding a better deal than this for the quality that you get with the Tour Edge Bazooka set.

The fact that Tour Edge golf clubs are slightly less expensive should not be something that keeps you from purchasing this brand. The lower price has nothing to do with the overall quality of the product.

So the set makeup is similar to the Tour Edge Bazooka 470, except you get one more iron and one less hybrid. It still comes with steel shafts and a lightweight stand bag.

Callaway Strata Tour

• Price is very fair, similar to Tour Edge
• Easy to hit clubs
• Tour model is more for players that have played some golf
• Not for faster swing speeds

Callaway makes quite a few complete club set options. However, the one that is most similar is the Callaway Strata Tour .

The Tour comes in both a stiff and regular golf shaft , so it is geared for the player that a bit more of an idea as to what their game is capable of. 

Just like the Tour Edge Bazooka, the Callaway comes with a 460cc driver and all the clubs necessary to put together a complete easy to hit set.

The Callaway has the name brand behind it, but the player with more experience should look more at the 470 than the Callaway Strata Tour.

Last is the Cobra Speed Complete Set . The Cobra is a bit more of a premium option than the Tour Edge Bazooka, and because of that, you will pay a bit more money for it.

If you are a mid handicap golfer that is looking for a great value with plenty of forgiveness and performance , the Cobra is a great choice. This set will have a better feel than any of the other options in this review.

One of the problems we see new golfers run into constantly is buying a set of clubs that they don’t know how to use. They go out and buy the most expensive set they can find without doing any research and without having spent the many years of playing golf to properly utilize such clubs.

Then they get discouraged when they don’t see any improvement in their game and end up quitting. Buying an expensive set of golf clubs as a beginner is akin to buying a Ferrari when you get your learner’s permit and crashing it into a wall.

It’s simply a waste of money and can discourage you from pursuing a very rewarding endeavor. It’s better to start with something more appropriate. To that end, we wanted to highlight a great beginner’s golf club set for men.

We’ve done the research and the testing all while keeping the average beginner golfer in mind. The following is our take on what we believe is a high-quality beginner golf set for men .

Playing the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 Set

Well, Bazooka is an apt moniker for these clubs. As soon as we started our first round with the Tour Edge Bazooka 470’s we knew they were built for distance. And what’s more; effortless distance. This is the kind of golf club set that can really instill a lot of confidence and excitement in new players.

Almost every type of shot and lie is made easier with the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set. And the secret is in the design of the clubs…

As usual, we start with the driver of the Tour Edge Bazooka 470. This 460CC, 10.5 driver features high moment of inertia face material. And for the beginners out there, high moment of inertia is ideal for minimizing twisting upon impact which can waste club head speed and minimize distance.

So no matter how you square up to the tee, the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 driver will help you hit the ball straighter and with more power.

The Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set comes with 2 fairway woods: a number 3 and a number 5. The 3 wood is set to 15 degrees of loft and the 5 wood is set to 19 degrees. But the beauty is in the head design of these woods.

They are much more aerodynamic than other beginner woods. They seem to preserve a maximum amount of swing speed and the shallow face design helps shots stay truer even with high lofts.

Beginners rejoice: the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set comes with a #4 and #5 hybrid. These hybrids also feature a shallower face for enhanced accuracy and a better sound. Overall, these hybrids are very easy to hit with. They come in 22 and 25 lofts respectively.

The irons of the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set feature deeper undercuts, perimeter weighting and a center of gravity placed in the lower corner of the head. All of that equals more forgiveness even from tough lies.

You get irons 6-9 and they are set to 28, 32, 36 and 41 degrees of loft respectively. The expanded blades (wider) of these irons effectively enlarge the sweet spot for better results from off-center shots.

You get both a pitching wedge and a sand wedge in the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set. The pitching wedge is set to 46 degrees of loft and the sand wedge is set to 55. The wedges also feature a larger sweet spot and deep undercuts; making them a breeze to use even for beginners.

We had the “opportunity” to test these wedges from some pretty infuriating lies and were impressed with how they performed. The weighting was perfect for full swings that didn’t dig too much but still managed to rescue our balls.

The putter brings the set full-circle with its high moment of inertia face. It promotes accuracy and feel above all in a mallet-style head. When we tested the putter, we were amazed at how effortlessly we were able to follow through smoothly even on shorter shots.

Club Composition

The driver of the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set features a high-performance titanium head while the irons are made of stainless steel. You can get these clubs with all graphite shafts. You can also opt for graphite shafts in the woods and driver and steels shafts for the irons to suit fast and slow swing speeds.

Set Options

As stated in the previous section, you can choose all graphite shafts or a graphite/steel combination. There is also a Uniflex option.

As of this writing the Tour Edge Bazooka 470 set comes only in right-handed orientation and standard length. But generally, these clubs should fit men between 5’8” and 6’3”.

In addition, you will be provided by friendly attention and service, you will be able to taste the military field cuisine sitting in comfortable tents, and enjoy the real fun of military songs and dances.

Theatres in Moscow

Cultural life of Moscow city is various and rich! Operas, ballets, symphonic concerts... Russian composers have created some of the most beautiful classical music. Russian classical music is very popular in Moscow. It is performed in many beautiful historical venues. Do not forget to include a visit to a concert hall in your itinerary when you are planning your stay in Moscow! And do it in advance.

There are almost no restrictions on dress code in Russian theatres. Visitors may wear jeans and sports shoes, they may have a backpack with them. Only shorts are not allowed.

A typical feature of Russian theatre – visitors are bringing a lot of flowers which they present to their favorite performers after the show.

Here are some practical advices where to go and how to buy tickets.

The Bolshoi Theatre

The Bolshoi Theatre is the oldest, the most famous and popular opera and ballet theatre in Russia. The word “Bolshoi” means “big” in Russian. You can buy a ticket online in advance, 2-3 months before the date of performance on the official website . Prices for famous ballets are high: 6-8 thousand rubles for a seat in stalls. Tickets to operas are cheaper: you can get a good seat for 4-5 thousand rubles. Tickets are cheaper for daytime performances and performances on the New Stage. The New Stage is situated in the light-green building to the left of the Bolshoi's main building. The quality of operas and ballets shown on the New Stage is excellent too. However, you should pay attention that many seats of the Bolshoi’s Old and New Stages have limited visibility . If you want to see the Bolshoi’s Old Stage but all tickets are sold out, you can order a tour of the theatre. You can book such a tour on the official website.

If you want, following Russian tradition, to give flowers to the performers at the end of the show, in the Bolshoi flowers should be presented via special staff who collects these flowers in advance.

In August the Bolshoi is closed.

The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre

This theatre is noteworthy. On one hand, it offers brilliant classical opera and ballet performances. On the other hand, it is an experimental venue for modern artists. You can check the program and buy tickets online here http://stanmus.com/ . If you are opera lover, get a ticket to see superstar Hibla Gerzmava . The theatre has a very beautiful historic building and a stage with a good view from every seat. Tickets are twice cheaper than in the Bolshoi.

The Novaya Opera

“Novaya” means “New” in Russian. This opera house was founded in 1991 by a famous conductor Eugene Kolobov. Its repertoire has several directions: Russian and Western classics, original shows and divertissements, and operas of the 20th and 21st centuries. It is very popular with Muscovites for excellent quality of performances, a comfortable hall, a beautiful Art Nouveau building and a historic park Hermitage, which is situated right next to it. Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Center

The Opera Center has become one of the best theatrical venues in Moscow. It was founded in 2002 by great diva Galina Vishnevskaya. Nowadays its artistic director is Olga Rostropovich, daughter of Galina Vishnevskaya and her husband Mstislav Rostropovich, great cellist and conductor. Not only best young opera singers perform here, but also world music stars do; chamber and symphonic concerts, theatrical productions and musical festivals take place here. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall and The Great Hall of Moscow Conservatory

These are two major concert halls for symphonic music in Moscow. Both feature excellent acoustics, impressive interior, various repertoire and best performers. Moscow International Performing Arts Center (MIPAC)

This modern and elegant concert hall houses performances of national and foreign symphony orchestras, chamber ensembles, solo instrumentalists, opera singers, ballet dancers, theatre companies, jazz bands, variety and traditional ensembles. Actually, it has three concert halls placed on three different levels and having separate entrances. The President of MIPAC is People’s Artist of the USSR Vladimir Spivakov, conductor of “Virtuosy Moskvy” orchestra. You can see pictures of the concert halls here http://www.mmdm.ru/en/content/halls . Moscow Russian Tank Ride

After picking you up from your hotel in Moscow at 9:30 am, we'll hop into a real Soviet van that will take us to the Park Patriot military base, located in the outskirts of Moscow.

Once we arrive we'll receive a safety briefing from the military personnel at the base. We'll explore the military base, which houses an exhibition centre and a museum of the Russian army, where we'll get to test the official T-80 tank simulator . After the theory class, we'll enjoy one of the most famous Russian traditions: a shot of vodka !

Next, we'll get kitted out in the uniforms, gloves and helmets ready to drive a Soviet tank ! All participants will get the chance to drive the tank during the activity, which will be coordinated by the Russian military. And that's not all! You'll also get to fire some of the world's most iconic weapons , such as a Kalashnikov and a Bazooka . 

After the activities, we'll enjoy a full-course typical meal of buckwheat, pickled vegetables, bread, pastries, Russian chocolates and drinks, including more vodka!

From the military base we'll take you back to your hotel in Moscow for 6:30 pm.

The tanks are driven at a military base on the outskirts of Moscow. The activity will focus on driving a former Soviet tank: a T-80, the most prominent in the Soviet Union during the 1970s and 1980s.

Requirements

No special license or permit is required to drive the tanks. The necessary permits for driving in the military base facilities and its surrounding areas are already included in the activity.

Children under five years old and anyone with muscular problems or illnesses are not allowed to participate in this activity.

The activity is led by expert military personnel who have many years of experience. The shooting practices are carried out in a restricted area where there is no risk of putting others in danger and non-lethal ammunition is used. Therefore, this activity is totally safe - all you have to worry about is making the most of this incredible experience!

At Put-in tours, we have put together the ultimate excursion for men (and their girlfriends). Join us in our Soviet van for an entire afternoon of all-inclusive Russian fun on the battlefield!

Start by visiting Park Patriot, the impressive Russian army exhibition center and museum. There, try your driving skills at the T-80 tank official simulator ,  before you ride on two iconic Soviet armored vehicles (BMP-1 and/or BTR-80) on an off-road training path. Along the way, hone your skills while a drill sergeant shouts commands at you. You may not understand, but impress him anyway with your grenade launching technique and AK-47 assembling speed. Or suffer the consequences.

After that, take another shot of vodka , enjoy the army field lunch provided, and move on to the next activity…

Honey, I shot a bazooka!

Phase two brings a variety of iconic Russian war weapons to the tip of your trigger finger. Learn about and test the Makarov PM, PPSH-41, Kalashnikov AK-47, RPK, DP28 machine gun, several semi-auto or auto carbines and more… Firing off a bazooka is the grand finale, sure to leave you breathless—just before you send the photos to your mom.

To prevent you from inadvertently blowing up your best friend or transforming your girlfriend into a strainer, we only use non-lethal (but real!) ammo.
