Nike has spent the better part of 2022 celebrating the Air Force 1’s 40th Anniversary. But as we embark on the second half of the year, the brand is once again spotlighting some other notable birthdays, such as the Air Max 1 ‘s 35th.

Adding to the festivities is the women’s exclusive, “Tour Yellow” colorway. In regards to its color blocking, the pair seems to draw inspiration from the Tinker Hatfield-designed sneaker’s most iconic releases, some of which returned for the Air Max Day 2017. In mimicry of said offerings, the construction’s Swoosh, mudguard, and logo hits are highlighted in the aforementioned yellow, while the adjacent mesh inserts and tumbled leather overlays opt for white and grey, respectively.

Constructed of premium materials, the Air Max 1 “Tour Yellow” is slated to release on August 24th at select retailers and likely Nike SNKRS .

Nike Air Max 1 “Tour Yellow” Release Date

Original Story (08/19/22) : The 35th anniversary celebration of the Air Max 1 is not over yet. Nike still has more special colorways on the way, including this women’s “Tour Yellow” edition.

The “Tour Yellow” Air Max 1 draws inspiration from the OG 1987 red colorway, taking the same color blocking but switching up the materials and replacing the red with yellow. The mesh uppers come in white as usual, though the grey and overlays are made of tumbled leather instead of suede. A white midsole and grey rubber outsole rounds out the design.

The WMNS Nike Air Max 1 “Tour Yellow” drops on Wednesday, August 24th at European stockists such as END. and Asphaltgold . Expect a stateside release later in the year on SNKRS and select retailers. Stay tuned to Modern Notoriety for updates.

Nike’s Air Max 1 Surfaces With Vivid ‘Tour Yellow’ Paneling

The Air Max 1 is a personal favorite. Originally released in 1987, the silhouette was the first Nike Air shoe with an exposed air bubble, allowing you to see the then-fresh cushioning technology at work while you walked or ran. The AM1 was massively popular, praised by runners for its stability and durability, and beloved by the growing world of sneakerheads for its timeless look. Now, Nike is celebrating thirty-five years of the historic silhouette. With a number of special releases already available, this week we got an early look at a new ‘Tour Yellow’ color scheme set to arrive this Summer. Following the classic AM1 color blocking, this pair begins with a white mesh base layer, adding light grey tumbled leather to the quarter panels and heels. The namesake yellow tone colors the mudguard fro, toe to heel. as well as this pair’s Swooshes and tongue branding.

Nike’s upcoming Air Max 1 “Tour Yellow” is slowly beginning to roll out to retailers, surfacing via raffle from the UK’s END. Clothing earlier this week. Scheduled for August 24th, this bright like look will likely release from both Nike and select retailers stateside in the coming weeks for $150. UPDATE 9/14/22:  Nike has revealed their release date for the ‘Tour Yellow’ Air Max 1, which will release this month on September 27th, 2022. Pairs will be available from the brand’s SNKRS app in women’s sizing, with a price tag of $160.

Nike Air Max 1 Tour Yellow: On-Foot Shots

The NIKE AIR MAX 1 TOUR YELLOW shows off some of our favourite aspects of the original Air Max design, with a little extra radiance to turn heads this summer. Check out our exclusive on-foot shots to see why this one is on our wants lists this summer…

Whilst there might not be a whole lot of uncovered topics when it comes to talking about the Air Max 1, it remains one of the key shoes in the story of sports footwear. The word iconic gets used too often, but here it really is a valid term: only a small handful of models command this amount of respect, especially three decades after their original release. There have been hundreds of colourways and editions of the AM1 over the years, but this simple Tour Yellow and Blue Recall edition is one of the nicest we’ve seen in a while. It’s light enough to make it a firm summer choice, but with a dark blue mudguard that should defer summertime disasters, such as grass stains and ice cream drips. And with such easy-going hues, this one will work with a wide range of different outfit choices too.

Travis Scott Spotted Wearing New Air Max 1 Collab Colorway

While we await word on the release of Travis Scott’s highly anticipated Nike Air Max 1 collaboration, alternate colorways of the project are already beginning to surface.

Scott was spotted around New York City wearing his Air Max 1 in a bright yellow colorway. The shoe appears to feature contrasting grey hits and red upper eyelets. Familiar Travis staples, such as fabric straps and the reverse Swoosh, are visible in the photos.

This isn’t the first time that there’s been a yellow variation of a Travis collab. In 2019, Scott created an unreleased yellow colorway of the Air Jordan 6 . No other details, including a release date, for the second Air Max 1 colorway have been announced at the time of this writing.

The Nike Air Max 95 “Tour Yellow” is a brand new Air Max 95 colorway of that will be arriving this fall.

Dressed in a White, Tour Yellow, Black, and Wolf Grey color scheme. This offering of the Nike Air Max 95 comes constructed in a mix of mesh, leather, and textile materials. 3M reflective detailing, Tour Yellow accents atop a Black rubber sole completes the design.
