Artists Who Are Going On Tour In 2024: The Rolling Stones, Drake, Olivia Rodrigo & More

The year is just getting started, but 2024 is already stacked with exciting tours. Open up your calendar and start planning with this sprawling list of announced 2024 tours.

Just a couple of years ago, live music still looked uncertain — would variant X, Y or Z derail the train for the umpteenth time? But in that regard, 2023 felt almost totally in the clear — and that's why it feels like the rubber band is stretched back for 2024, and it's ready to launch.

Sure, compiling every musical act who's touring in 2024 might be impossible. But GRAMMY.com's stylistic purview is far and wide: country, hardcore, soul, R&B, rap, indie rock, you name it. As such, we're giving it our best shot — and will continue to update the list as more tours are announced.

Without further ado, here's a major cross section of the 2024 touring landscape as currently announced — from Alvvays to Adam Ant , from Def Leppard to Danny Brown.

Laura Pausini : Laura Pausini World Tour Jan. 6 - April 6 North & Latin America

Italian singer (and the Latin Recording Academy's Person Of The Year) Laura Pausini is venturing through North & Latin America in the spring.

Slowdive Jan. 16 - May 18 U.S., Asia & Europe

The reunited shoegaze greats just released a well-loved new album, everything is alive — which is currently taking on new shades onstage. See them in 2024, on an extensive tour of Europe with Japan dates, and then a plethora of U.S. stops.

Madison Beer : The Spinnin Tour Jan. 17 - June 13 UK, Europe, & U.S.

The pop, hip-hop, EDM, and R&B star released Silence Between Songs in 2023; she'll support it with The Spinnin Tour, which heads stateside from Europe across the spring of 2024.

Drake with J.Cole : It's All A Blur - Big As The What? Jan. 18 - March 27 U.S.

Hip-hop kingpins Drake and J. Cole are headed on a co-headlining tour; some Drake gigs will be J.-Cole-less.

Ana Tijoux Jan. 18 - April 13 North America, UK, & Europe

Chilean musician Ana Tijoux hasn't undergone a world tour since 2018, but she's about to change that with a run of European gigs following the release of VIDA , her first album in several years. .

Melanie Martinez Jan. 19 - June 27 North America, Asia & Australia

Alt-popper Melanie Martinez will segue her PORTALS Tour into The Trilogy Tour, which will see her revive her alter ego "Cry Baby." See her, in this persona, in the U.S. and across the pond.

Mitski Jan. 26 - June 6 UK, Europe, & U.S.

Fresh off the release of The Land is Inhospitable and So Are We , Mitski has announced a jaunt across North America with Tamino, Sunny War, Julia Jacklin , and Sarah Kinsley.

Gloria Trevi: Mi Soundtrack World Tour Jan. 26 - Sept. 22 U.S.

Known as the "Supreme Diva of Mexican Pop," Gloria Trevi is embarking on a world tour to top off the year, as she has recently announced the first leg.

Tinashe : BB/ANG3L U.S. Tour Jan. 31 - Feb. 15 U.S.

Actress, dancer and singer Tinashe will support her new album, BB/ANG3L , with a run of mostly East Coast dates.

Militarie Gun Jan. 31 - June 1 North America

Fresh off a tour with Scowl, hardcore-adjacent, brilliantly melodic punks Militarie Gun continue their rise with a 2024 North American tour.

Mariah The Scientist: To Be Eaten Alive Tour Feb. 1 - May 4 UK, Europe, & U.S.

R&B favorite Mariah the Scientist has been raring to return to the stage: "I miss hearing my fans scream my lyrics at the top of their lungs. I miss seeing all their faces," Mariah told Rolling Stone . "I miss all the different cities. To my fans, I miss us. I'm so ready to eat you alive." She'll be in Europe and the U.S.

Marc Anthony : Viviendo Tour Feb. 9 - March 9 North America

Latin and Salsa star Marc Anthony can't hide his excitement for his upcoming tour: "See you in 2024 with many moments to write about," Mark shared in his Instagram tour announcement. "We are going to live nights like no other."

Juanes : Vida Cotidiana World Tour Feb. 13 - March 30 North America

In support of his Vida Cotidiana album, Colombian rock legend Juanes is making stops around North America to celebrate the project.

While AAPI Month is a U.S. holiday, the Recording Academy takes a global approach in celebrating artists and creators from across the Asian and Asian American diaspora. This aligns with the Recording Academy's growing mission to expand its reach on a global scale and celebrate international creators outside of the U.S.  

Musicians of Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander heritage have not only helped establish the music industry, but have transformed it. From Diljit Dosanjh being the first artist to play a Coachella set entirely in Punjabi to Laufey winning a GRAMMY for her jazz-inspired pop, AAPI artists continue to influence music by both honoring tradition and reshaping modern standards.

It’s thrilling to see AAPI musicians continue to take centerstage — from Atarashi Gakko! to Tiger JK ’s memorable sets at Coachella, to surprise appearances from Olivia Rodrigo , Dominic Fike , and Towa Bird. As festival season gets underway, examples of the AAPI starpower from every corner of the world abound.

Chappell Roan's Big Year: The 'Midwest Princess' Examines How She Became A Pop "Feminomenon"

Just after Chappell Roan made her festival debut at Coachella, hear from the pop starlet about some of the defining moments of her career thus far — and how it all helped earn her a spot at one of music's biggest fests.

Before this year, Chappell Roan had never even been to Coachella. Now, not only can she say she's attended — she's performed in the desert, too. 

Roan played an evening set on the Gobi Stage on April 12, and is set to return for Weekend 2. Fans clad in everything from cowboy boots, Sandy Liang-inspired bows and, perhaps most importantly, jorts, gathered to celebrate their shared love of Roan's radiance, karmic kink and gay cowgirl doctrine.  

Throughout her performance, bubbles breezed through the air as Roan belted out her infectious (and aptly titled) track "Femininomenon," which speaks to lover girls forced to live in an online-dating hellscape. "Ladies, you know what I mean?/ And you know what you need and so does he/ But does it happen? No!" Following collective screams of pure joy, the already enlivened crowd roused to match Roan beat-for-beat, shouting back in perfect unison, "Well, what we really need is a femininomenon!" 

In an era of bedroom pop and sad-girl music, Roan has been hailed by both critics and fans for bringing fun back to pop music. Along with her staunch sense of self, Roan's penchant for explicit lyrics that are equally parts introspective and horny makes her dance-pop anthems all the more infectious. 

Roan's ambitiously experimental debut album, 2023's The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess , cemented her status as one of the most exciting pop stars on the rise. While she only recently landed her first single on the Billboard Hot 100 with "Good Luck, Babe!," her rapidly growing fan base — and an opening slot on Olivia Rodrigo's sold-out GUTS World Tour — indicate that she's on her way to superstardom .

Perhaps part of Roan's magic is that it was all on her own terms. After parting ways with her first label, Atlantic Records, she built a loyal following as an independent artist before signing with Island Records last year. Even as a major label artist, she's determined to only do things her way; her indefatigable commitment to her craft — as well as writing her own rules when it comes to fashion and makeup — is precisely why her fans are so enraptured by both her music and persona. 

Her fearlessness was on full display during her first Coachella set, where the words emblazoned on her bodysuit read "Eat Me." She talks the talk, and walks the walk (in fabulous, knee-high boots, of course), matching her unabashed aesthetic with equally bold career moves; for one, the openers for her headlining tour are local drag queens.

With eyeliner winged to the heavens, near-perfect vocal stability and fiery curls ablaze, Roan's shimmering Coachella Weekend 1 performance proved that her stage presence is equally dynamic. And if she had any doubters, she had one thing to say to them: "B—, I know you're watching!" 

In between rehearsals for her Coachella debut, Roan took a look back on her journey to one of music's most coveted stages. Below, hear from Roan about five of the most impactful milestones in her career — so far. 

Releasing Her Debut Album, The Rise And Fall Of A Midwest Princess

I ended up signing [with Island Records in 2023] because this project honestly got too big to be independent anymore. I just wasn't willing to give up anything, any creative control or for any amount of money. 

Being an independent artist was really special because I proved to myself that I could do all these hard things that I had never done. I built it with an entire friend group and many, many years of work. So it wasn't just me, but it proved a lot to me.

It proved I can make it through hard circumstances — with no money. You truly can. You do not need a label to do a lot of what an artist's career requires. You don't need a label to put on your own show, or make a music video, or even write a song, or find creative people. You don't need that s—t. I mean, a label is just money, you know? You don't need a lot of money to do this. To make it grow is, I think, where it takes a lot of money. That's what was difficult.

Music allows me to express anything, even things that I've never experienced before. It allows me to express queerness, even if it was only daydreams at that point. It allows me to express parts of me that I'm not even ready to accept yet.

I don't give a f— if you don't  f— with the music. You don't have to come to the concert. That's the whole point of it. You don't have to like it. I think throughout the year, I'm like, "What can I get away with?" Because right now it's pretty tame for what it is like to be a gay artist. But I just want to push it to see how far can I go — with the most controversial outfits or things to rile people up. I'm not really afraid to do that.

Having a song [like "Casual] with the lyric, "Knee deep in the passenger seat/ And you're eating me out," and it's being considered to go to radio. That's kind of a big thing to get away with. 

It's not even that big of a thing. What's that song? Is it Flo Rida ? That's like, "Can you blow my whistle, baby/ whistle baby." Okay, that's obviously about like a f—ing blowjob. [ Laughs .] No one cares about that. To me, I'm like, Let's talk about eating out on the radio . I actually think it has to be bleeped, but still, if I can get away with it, that's cool.

Feeling Financial Freedom & Stability

Not making money at all just sucked. But I learned how to do my own makeup and bedazzle and sew a little bit. I think that the scrappiness came from [the idea that] it's scrappy if it's fun. 

I think that's what kept me going — because if this wasn't fun, I would not even be here. But it was scrappy and fun, and it was with my friends. It didn't feel dire. I was also just working at a coffee shop, and I was a nanny, and I was working at a donut shop. I was doing part time jobs all on the side too. So it was all just rough [in the beginning].

I have freedom because now [singing] is my full-time job. It provides for me now. As the project grows, I can do bigger shows and be like, I want outfit changes now , and I want more lights, and I want confetti . I can afford confetti now! 

It's about expanding the universe in a thoughtful way. And not just like throwing a s— ton of money at things to make things look expensive or wear all this designer s— for no reason. 

I just try to look at how we are starting to gain momentum financially and see how can I intentionally use that to, one, pay the team in a way where they're not bare bones anymore, and two, [ask ourselves] how can we honor this project and this album and the queer community? Can we pay drag queens more? Can we bring drag on the road? Now, financially, doors have opened where we can walk through them with love and intention. Just recklessly, throwing money at s— to see if it works.

Opening Olivia Rodrigo's Arena Tour

Olivia [Rodrigo] just asked. It was official, we went through our management. But I was like, Oh my God . 

Preparing a 40-minute set is a different vibe than headlining, obviously. You are going out to an audience that is not there for you and doesn't necessarily care if you're there or not.

This is, like, my fourth or fifth artist I've opened for. But for an arena tour, I just needed to gather my nerves. I think that's the difference between any other show. Like, F—, there's 20,000 people out there right now. I've never performed in front of that many people. I don't know what this emotion is, and I just have to tame it right now.

Standing Up For Herself Creatively, Even When There's Pushback

I stand up for myself, I would say, every day. Sometimes, you get this opportunity, a huge opportunity with a lot of money on the table. [Yet,] I'm just like, That just doesn't make sense creatively. That doesn't align with my values. I'm not doing that.  

One huge creative decision was I stood up and pushed the entire headlining Midwest Princess tour back to the fall. The album was supposed to come out while we were on tour. I was like, "This is a horrible idea!" 

That caused a big ruckus, but it ended up being fine, and I was right. I'm usually right. [ Laughs .] It's like a mother with her kid — a mother knows best. I feel like [that] when it comes to the integrity of my project.

I know how it is to not be able to afford a ticket or even f—ing food. A concert ticket, a lot of times, means multiple meals for someone. I get it, I couldn't afford some artists' tickets. That's why it's really important to me to try to keep them as low as I can and my merch as low as I can. 

There's pushback of ticket prices being low and we're playing rooms that are so expensive. The fee to even play them is so expensive. So, you have to raise the ticket prices to just even be able to afford to play the room. There's always an argument [with my team] there, every tour. I'm in control of stuff and if I'm saying this is how it's going to be —- it's just going to be that way.

Performing At Coachella For The First Time 

[After the first weekend of Coachella] I am feeling very relieved. I was so stressed about many things. How is the outfit going to work? Will the crowd really be engaged? It went so well, I have no qualms with anything. I loved every second of it.

It feels like I am partying with [my fans]. I am not performing to them; I’m performing with them. [I want people to remember] a really fun, freeing show. Very campy but very meaningful too.

On RSD 2024, Bowie's estate is dialing it back to his Ziggy Stardust days to make Waiting in the Sky (Before The Starman Came To Earth) available for the first time. The record features recordings of Bowie's sessions at Trident Studios in 1971, and many songs from those sessions would be polished for his 1972 album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars . 

The tracklisting for Waiting in the Sky differs from Ziggy Stardust and features four songs that didn’t make the final album.

Talking Heads — Live at WCOZ 77

New York City-based outfit Talking Heads defined the sound of new wave in the late '70s and into the next decade. For their massive influence, the group received two GRAMMY nominations and was later honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2021.

While promoting their debut album Talking Heads: 77 , the quartet recorded a live performance for the New Albany, Pennsylvania radio station WCOZ in 1977. The Live at WCOZ 77 LP will include 14 songs from that performance at Northern Studios, including seven that will be released for the first time. Among the previously unheard cuts are " Love Goes To A Building On Fire" and "Uh-Oh, Love Comes To Town." During that session, Talking Heads also performed songs like "Psycho Killer" and "Pulled Up."

The Doors — Live at Konserthuset, Stockholm, September 20, 1968

The Doors were at the forefront of the psychedelic rock movement of the 1960s and early '70s. One of Jim Morrison 's most epic performances with the band will be available on vinyl for the first time. 

Live at Konserthuset, Stockholm, September 20, 1968 includes recordings from a radio broadcast that was never commercially released. The 3-LP release includes performances of songs from the Doors’ first three albums, including 1967’s self-titled and Strange Days . In addition to performing their classics like "Light My Fire" and "You're Lost Little Girl," the Doors and Morrison also covered "Mack the Knife" and Barret Strong's "Money (That's What I Want)" live during this session. 

Dwight Yoakam — The Beginning And Then Some: The Albums of the '80s

Over the course of his 40-year career, country music icon Dwight Yoakam has received 18 GRAMMY nominations and won two golden gramophones for Best Male Country Vocal Performance in 1994 and Best Country Collaboration with Vocals in 2000.

On Record Store Day 2024, Yoakam will celebrate the first chapter of his legacy with a new box set: The Beginning And Then Some: The Albums of the '80s . His debut album Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc. and 1987’s Hillbilly Deluxe will be included in the collection alongside exclusive disc full of rarities and demos. The 4-LP set includes his classics like "Honky Tonk Man," "Little Ways," and "Streets of Bakersfield." The box set will also be available to purchase on CD.  

The Beatles — The Beatles Limited Edition RSD3 Turntable

Beatlemania swept across the U.S. following the Beatles’ first appearance on "The Ed Sullivan Show" in February 1964, setting the stage for the British Invasion. With The Beatles Limited Edition RSD3 Turntable , the band will celebrate their iconic run of appearances on Sullivan’s TV program throughout that year.

The box set will include a Beatles-styled turntable and four 3-inch records. Among those records are the hits "I Want To Hold Your Hand," "Till There Was You," "She Loves You," and "I Saw Her Standing There," which the Beatles performed on Sullivan's TV across several appearances. 

Among 23 GRAMMY nominations, the Beatles won seven golden gramophones. In 2014, the Recording Academy honored them with the Lifetime Achievement Award.   

Olivia Rodrigo and Noah Kahan — From The BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge LP

Olivia Rodrigo and Noah Kahan are two of the biggest pop stars in the world right now — Rodrigo hitting the stage with No Doubt at Coachella and near the end of her global GUTS Tour ; Kahan fresh off a Best New Artist nomination at the 2024 GRAMMYs. Now, they're teaming up for the split single From The BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge LP , a release culled from each artist's "BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge" sessions. 

The special vinyl release will include Rodrigo's live cover of Kahan's breakout hit "Stick Season." The single also includes Kahan’s cover of Rodrigo’s song "Lacy" from her second album, GUTS . This month, they performed the song live together on Rodrigo’s Guts World Tour stop in Madison Square Garden.  

Buena Vista Social Club — Buena Vista Social Club

Influential Cuban group Buena Vista Social Club popularized genres and sounds from their country, including son cubano, bolero, guajira, and danzón. Buena Vista Social Club's landmark self-titled LP won the GRAMMY for Best Tropical Latin Album in 1998.

The following year, a documentary was released that captured two of the band's live performances in New York City and Amsterdam. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the documentary, the Buena Vista Social Club album will be released on a limited edition gold vinyl with remastered audio and bonus tracks.

Buena Vista Social Club is one of the 10 recordings to be newly inducted into the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame as part of the 2024 inductee class.

Danny Ocean — 54+1

Venezuelan reggaeton star Danny Ocean broke through on a global level in 2016 with his self-produced debut single "Me Rehúso," a heartbreaking track inspired by Ocean fleeing Venezuela due to the country's economic instability and the lover he had left behind. 

With "Me Rehúso," Ocean became the first solo Latin artist to surpass one billion streams on Spotify, on the platform with a single song. "Me Rehúso" was included on his 2019 debut album 54+1 , which will be released on vinyl for the first time for Record Store Day.

Lee "Scratch" Perry & The Upsetters — Skanking With The Upsetter

Jamaican producer Lee "Scratch" Perry pioneered dub music in the 1960s and '70s. Perry received five GRAMMY nominations in his lifetime, including winning Best Reggae Album in 2003 for Jamaican E.T.

To celebrate the legacy of Perry's earliest dub recordings, a limited edition run of his 2004 album Skanking With The Upsetter will be released on Record Store Day. His joint LP with his house band the Upsetters will be pressed on transparent yellow vinyl. Among the rare dub tracks on the album are "Bucky Skank," "Seven & Three Quarters (Skank)," and "IPA Skank."

Notorious B.I.G. — Ready To Die: The Instrumentals

The Notorious B.I.G. helped define the sound of East Coast rap in the '90s. Though he was tragically murdered in 1997, his legacy continues to live on through his two albums. 

During his lifetime, the Notorious B.I.G. dropped his 1994 debut album Ready to Die , which is widely considered to be one of the greatest hip-hop releases of all-time. In honor of the 30th anniversary of the album (originally released in September '94), his estate will release Ready To Die: The Instrumentals . The limited edition vinyl will include select cuts from the LP like his hits "Big Poppa," "One More Chance/Stay With Me," and "Juicy." The album helped him garner his first GRAMMY nomination in 1996 for Best Rap Solo Performance. The Notorious B.I.G. received an additional three nominations after his death in 1998.

Drake is headed back out on the road next year. On Monday (Nov. 13), the 6 God revealed the dates for his upcoming 2024 U.S. run titled It’s All A Blur Tour – Big As the What?, which will feature support from J. Cole on most dates.

Every Artist With 100 or More Billboard Hot 100 Chart Hits

The artist announced 10 additional dates on Friday (Nov. 17), the same day that he dropped EP Scary Hours 3 . The newly added shows include second performances in San Antonio, Texas; Oklahoma City, Okla.; Tampa, Fla.; St. Louis, Mo.; and Cleveland, Ohio, among others.

The 2024 dates will follow on the heels of Drake’s recently completed It’s All A Blur tour, which found the rapper playing 50 sold-out arena dates across North American in the summer and fall in support of his eighth studio album, For All the Dogs . Tickets for the tour will be available starting with the Cash App card presale beginning on Wednesday (Nov. 15), followed by a general onsale beginning Friday (Nov. 17) starting at 11 a.m. local time here .

Drake is one the leading finalist with 14 nods at the upcoming 2023 Billboard Music Awards. You can watch the BBMAs here , and via Billboard and the BBMA’s social media channels on Nov. 19.

Taylor Swift is about to go back on tour: Here's what to expect on the Eras Tour in Paris

After a two-month break, Taylor Swift is revitalizing her titanic Eras Tour in Paris, and fans believe there are changes coming to the show.

If you are wondering where she's playing, if there will be changes and how to score tickets, here's everything we know.

When does the Eras Tour start again?

Swift kicks off the European leg of her tour on Thursday, May 9, in Paris. She will perform Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, as well, in the City of Light.

What are Taylor Swift's tour dates in Europe?

There are 69 shows left in the Eras Tour: 51 in Europe, nine in America and nine in Canada.

The European leg stretches from May all the way through a five-night stand at Wembley Stadium in London in mid-August.

The Eras Tour has featured a massive 45-song set list you can check out here . But speculation is swirling it won't look the same when Swift takes the stage in Paris.

Will Taylor Swift add 'The Tortured Poets Department' to her set list?

The tortured poet has been on hiatus keeping her stamina up by releasing a double album of 31 tracks. The 2-hours-and-2-minutes project broke a number of Billboard records as the superstar did zero press to promote it. Fans flocked to stores and streaming services to listen to all the songs from "Fortnight" to "The Manuscript."

Although the singer has not confirmed whether her 11th era album will be added to her Eras Tour set list, she did post a YouTube shorts video with two scenes that sent Easter egg decoders into a frenzy. In one of the shots, the singer is next to a railing where a "TTPD" logo appears to be (at 0:11). In the succeeding shot, her back-up dancers perform holding canes and wearing top hats, something they have not worn previously.

Swift's dancers and bandmates posted to their Instagram stories as they left for France last week. The singer did not appear at two media events with her boyfriend Travis Kelce: the Kentucky Derby and a Formula 1 race in Miami , Florida. Patrick Mahomes, Kelce's friend and Kansas City's quarterback, attended the car racing spectacular with his wife, Brittany.

Can I still get Eras Tour tickets?

Swift's show is completely sold out in Europe and North America. There are resale sites with tickets, but be wary of scams. The best way to avoid getting swindled is continuously checking links on Swift's website . There are some for resale on the sites verified by her camp.

Singapore was a hotbed for fans who traveled thousands of miles only to get turned away at the venue. In Tokyo and Australia, last-minute ticket drops happened a few days — without announcement — ahead of the shows.

Miami, New Orleans and Indianapolis — the three U.S. cities Swift is visiting in the fall — have some of the heftiest price tags with Canada closely behind. In may be cheaper to travel to Warsaw, Poland, or Gelsenkirchen, Germany. Here's a list of cities with the cheapest resale tickets, according to travel website  Islands.com .

Who are the opening acts?

Paramore launched the Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona, in March 2023, so it's fitting the American rock band is opening the tour's second year. The act will open for Swift for 51 shows across Europe . The band was dubbed the 2024 Record Store Day global ambassador and surprised fans in Nashville the weekend following the release of "The Tortured Poets Department."

When the tour comes back to North America in October , Swift's opening act will be Gracie Abrams.

Where can I watch if I don't have tickets?

The Eras Tour is one of the first tours that has been followed, globally, by thousands of fans on digital platforms. Fans dedicate part of their concert experience to livestreaming as Swift performs. A few Swifties have learned how to host their own shows over social media including Tess Bohne , known as the livestream queen. Bohne goes live for (almost) every show pulling streams from Instagram and TikTok. When a livestream goes down, she fills the time with banter.

On YouTube, user @TaylorSwiftHockeyBro also livestreams the three-hour show, and on Twitch, @folkleric , is a host fans follow.

There is also an app, Swift Alert , that notifies fans who only want to watch certain eras like the acoustic, surprise set. The app sends out push alerts if there are any major announcements.

What secret songs are left?

For the past 83 shows, Swift has played an acoustic set she customizes at each stop with a guitar and piano performance. In 2024, the Eras Tour star added mashups of her songs for each stop. Here are the songs she has yet to perform:

There have been many rumors that Swift will continue her show in 2025, but they are only rumors. Nothing has been announced for next year, and as of now, the tour will end in Vancouver, British Columbia, on Dec. 8.

Bad Bunny is going on tour: Dates and how to get tickets to ‘Most Wanted Tour’

Bad Bunny will be America's most wanted next year.

The three-time Grammy winner announced his "Most Wanted Tour" Oct. 19 by posting a tease video to Instagram and dates to the tour's website.

He also shared a tour poster to his Instagram stories.

The tour kicks off in February and has 47 shows across 31 cities in North America. He's expected to perform songs from his latest album, "Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana.”

In the tease video, the "Un Verano Sin Ti" singer is riding a horse while wearing a ski mask. He then dismounts the horse, walking up to a wall of wanted signs of himself. He tears off one of them, removes his mask, crumples up the paper and tosses it aside.

The tour poster notes, “If you’re not a real fan, don’t come.”

Presale tickets become available for purchase for select shows on Oct. 25 at 11:00 a.m. ET, and more will become available as future tour dates approach.

When is Bad Bunny going on tour?

Bad Bunny (real name Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio) announced Oct. 19 that he is going on tour starting Feb. 21, 2024, in Salt Lake City. The tour is scheduled to end May 26 in Miami.

How to get tickets to Bad Bunny's concert

Presale tickets for select shows, such as Phoenix, San Francisco and Portland, will become available on Ticketmaster , Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. ET.

Registration for presales opened Oct. 19 and closed Oct. 22.

Presale tickets for additional shows are expected to be released closer to future tour dates.

"Registration does not guarantee access to the sale," Ticketmaster notes. "We expect there to be more demand than there are tickets available ."

ABBA’s ‘Voyage’ Virtual Concert to Go on Tour ‘Around the World’

ABBA’s ‘Voyage’ virtual concer t — which opened in a specially built London arena last May and has sold more than 1 million tickets — will go on a global tour, Universal Music Group chairman Lucian Grainge confirmed during the company’s earnings call on Thursday.

“Plans are now in development to take ‘ ABBA Voyage’ around the world,” Grainge said on the call. Presumably, that means the show will be playing in specially modified arenas in major cities across the globe. Contacted by Variety, reps for ABBA and Universal, the group’s label, did not immediately have further information.

The Rolling Stones bring their Hackney Diamonds Tour to State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on Tuesday, May 7.

They’re the first act ever to bring three tours through State Farm Stadium, having previously played there in 2006 (when it was still called University of Phoenix Stadium) and 2019. The last time they were here, on the No Filter Tour , they drew a crowd of 52,726.

That's a lot of people, which can only mean a lot of traffic as thousands and thousands of drivers inch their way along the roads that lead to State Farm Stadium.

This is especially true for those who like to time their arrival to when the Stones are just about to hit the stage.

That’s how bottlenecks happen. And bottlenecks are wonderful for playing slide guitar, as Keith Richards could tell you, but not so much for getting to your seat on time.

And you don't want to miss a minute of the action. As Mick Jagger told The Republic in an exclusive interview , he's there to make sure people hear the songs they came to hear.

"Well, "I have a list of all the numbers we rehearsed, right?" Jagger said. "We rehearsed for four weeks. So then, I go through all the ones I think we have to do, that people expect, that if we didn't do them, people would go, “Well, I came here to see ‘Honky Tonk Women' and they didn't do it.” And of course, I enjoy doing it. It's not a problem."

As luck would have it, there are ways to make your trip to State Farm Stadium as painless as humanly possible.

The earlier you get to State Farm Stadium for the Rolling Stones, the better

As with any major stadium event, it’s best to plan on getting to the parking lot as early as you can. The concert starts at 8 p.m. Doors are at 6 p.m. Parking lots open at 4 p.m.  

“Unfortunately when doors open, that’s right around midway through after-work rush hour,” says Moroni Mendez, a public information officer with the Glendale Police Department. "So our advice would be to try to get there early so that you can beat the traffic or do anything you can to avoid being stuck in all that congestion.”

Mendez advises visiting the venue’s website, statefarmstadium.com , to figure out the parking situation in advance.

“I always try to tell people to try to research ahead of time just so that they know approximately which area they want to park and what route is best to take,” he says.

Roadways will be closed as you approach the stadium with traffic barriers and signs directing cars to go a certain way.

“It’s kind of hard to guess or know ahead of time how the roads are going to be set up,” Mendez says. “That’s why we advise people to try to get there earlier so they can try to beat the rush.”

General Parking (blue) access points are available via Glendale Avenue or Cardinals Way from Loop 101 and from surface streets, including 91st and 99th avenues. Upon nearing the stadium, follow the guidance provided by messaging boards and parking staff.

The stadium's parking operations team will direct vehicles into lots according to capacity and traffic flow. To ensure smooth parking and to be directed to the closest available lot to State Farm Stadium, adhere to the directions and instructions provided by Glendale police and the stadium's parking staff.

“When entering the entertainment district, just pay attention to traffic signs directing cars and obviously drive with caution,” Mendez says. “There’s going to be a lot of traffic, a lot of vehicles. Maybe you can focus on the driving and have a passenger available to keep an eye out and kind of lead you.”

Mendez says the stadium will be providing updates on Instagram, Facebook, and X, formerly known as Twitter.

Road closures around the stadium will be included in the WAZE app the day of the event.

Traffic will move faster if you take a moment before you arrive at the stadium parking entry to upload your parking permit QR code and have it open on your phone for the parking attendant to scan. 

Taking Lyft or Uber to the Rolling Stones at State Farm Stadium

Mendez also recommends using Uber or Lyft.

“If you use rideshare, you don’t have to worry about the driving,” he says. “And it’s maybe a little simpler as far as being dropped off and not having to worry about finding a parking space.”

Know what you can take into the stadium before you go

Mendez suggests reviewing the stadium’s clear bag policy and the list of prohibited items, both of which you can find in our ultimate guide to the Rolling Stones at State Farm Stadium, before you head into the concert.

“There are lockers, but they fill up quickly,” Mendez says. “So just avoid the things that are not allowed in the stadium.”

That being said, he adds, be careful about leaving valuables in your car.

“When it comes to stealing or taking things out of vehicles, a lot of times these criminals seek crimes of opportunity,” he says. “And what I mean by that is unsecured vehicles, objects in plain sight, things like that.”

If you plan on drinking at the Rolling Stones, don't plan on driving

Mendez also encourages fans who like to drink to have a plan in place for getting home.

“Obviously with any event like this, there’s gonna be drinking,” he says. “It’s not worth it to even question if you’re good enough to drive or not. Just don’t do it. Make those plans to get home safely, whether it’s using rideshare or taxi services or even just having a designated driver.”

The industry is still on shaky ground, so many tours are being delayed until 2022, but the show will go on. These 12 artists are ready to rock the stage and head out on tour.

Some artists who have confirmed tours are playing brand new, recently-released music. For example, Kacey Musgraves announced a brand new tour on Aug. 30 and will be playing music from her new album, Star-Crossed . On the other hand, some of these tours have been in the works for a long time. The Jonas Brothers, Justin Bieber, and Dua Lipa all had to reschedule tours , so the chance to play for fans will be extra special this time around.

On July 14, Styles announced he would be hitting stages across America in fall 2021. While he sadly had to postpone his European dates, he promised U.S. fans an epic show. “LOVE ON TOUR will be going out across the USA this September and I could not be more excited for these shows,” he captioned the announcement. “As always, the well-being of my fans, band, and crew, is my top priority.”

Maroon 5 are elated to be hitting the road again in fall 2021. That being said, they’re taking the utmost caution at their shows and are requiring all attendees to be fully vaccinated. “What a blast kicking off our 2021 tour last night, thank you to all the fans for making our first show back special!” they said on Instagram after their first show in Washington on Aug. 11.

“We want you to know that our top priority is the safety and well-being of our fans as well as that of the hard-working men and women who make these events possible,” they continued. “To that end we want to convey our support of recent news around shows starting to require additional protocols for entry, therefore starting on Aug 16th and in the following markets, proof of a negative test result within 48 hours of your show OR full vaccination will be required to attend.”

Their current tour will continue into October 2021.

The Jonas Brothers’ Remember This tour began making its rounds across America in August 2021. With special guest Kelsea Ballerini joining them on the road, it’s sure to live up to its title and be a memorable run.

The Biebs is going back on tour! Fans who hoped to see the singer in 2021 will now have to wait until 2022, but the show will go on... eventually. Bieber’s Justice World Tour officially kicks off in San Diego on Feb. 18, 2022.

European fans of Lipa rejoice! The “Levitating” singer will be hitting major cities across Europe in spring 2022. The dates were originally rescheduled from 2021.

Eilish is gearing up to rock stages on her Happier Than Ever tour and she’s got an epic lineup planned. She’s bringing Jessie Reyez, Duckwrth, Willow, and Girl In Red on the road. It all kicks off Feb. 3 in New Orleans.

Star boy is bringing his star energy on the road in 2022. Fans who have been waiting to catch Abel live can do so when he hits major cities across the U.S. in January and February.

Lorde is harnessing her Solar Power and is hitting the road. After the release of her new album, Lorde knew it was time to bring her musical magic back to the stage. Her Solar Power World Tour kicks off on Feb. 26 y’all.

Miss Musgraves has a new set of tunes and a new set of tour dates. After the release of her singles “Justified and “Star-Crossed,” the singer announced a full-fledged tour. Titled Star-Crossed: Unveiled , the tour dates will take place across North America in January and February 2022.

Bridgers is confirmed to go on tour in fall 2021, but is making a point to only play outdoor stages to keep fans safe. Additionally, proof of vaccination will be required for entry.

Mayer released his eighth studio album Sob Rock on July 16 and announced a tour of the same name soon after. Yep, Mayer is hitting the road to play alllllll the sad bops and the action will kick off on Feb. 17, 2022.

Those hungry for a little early 2000’s nostalgia can catch the Backstreet Boys on the road next year. The boy band was supposed to hit the road in 2021, but ultimately postponed their shows until 2022 . Nevertheless, the show will go on!

Fans are following Taylor Swift to Europe after finding tickets less costly there

Thousands of Taylor Swift fans are following her across the pond after missing out on her U.S. concert tour last year or being put off by marked-up ticket prices

LONDON -- Thousands of ride-or-die Taylor Swift fans who missed out on her U.S. concert tour last year or didn't want to buy exorbitantly priced tickets to see her again found an out-of-the-way solution: Fly to Europe.

The pop star is scheduled to kick off the 18-city Europe leg of her record-setting Eras Tour in Paris on Thursday, and planeloads of Swifties plan to follow Miss Americana across the pond in the coming weeks. The arena where Swift is appearing said Americans bought 20% of the tickets for her four sold-out shows. Stockholm, the tour's next stop, expects about 10,000 concertgoers from the U.S.

A concert might sound like an odd raison d’etre for visiting a foreign country, especially when fans can watch the Eras Tour from home via the documentary now streaming on Disney+. Yet online travel company Expedia says continent-hopping by Swift’s devotees is part of a larger trend it dubbed “tour tourism” while observing a pattern that emerged during Beyoncé's Renaissance world tour.

Some North American fans who plan to fly overseas for the Eras Tour said they justified the expense after noticing that tighter restrictions on ticket fees and resales in Europe made seeing Swift perform abroad no more costly — and potentially cheaper — than catching her closer to home.

“They said, ’Wait a minute, I can either spend $1,500 to go see my favorite artist in Miami, or I can take that $1,500 and buy a concert ticket, a round-trip plane ticket, and three nights in a hotel room,” Melanie Fish, an Expedia spokesperson and travel expert, said.

That was the experience of Jennifer Warren, 43, who lives in St. Catharines, a city in the Niagara region of Ontario. She and her 11-year-old son love Swift but had no luck scoring what she considered as decently priced tickets in the U.S. Undeterred, Warren and her husband decided to plan a European vacation around wherever she managed to get seats. It turned out to be Hamburg, Germany.

“You get out, you get to see the world, and you get to see your favorite artist or performer at the same time, so there are a lot of wins to it,” said Warren, who works as the director of research and innovation for a mutual insurance company.

The three VIP tickets she secured close to the stage — “I would call it brute-force dumb luck” — cost 600 euros ($646) each. Swift subsequently announced six November tour dates in Toronto, within driving distance of Warren's home. "Absolute nose-bleed seats" already are going for 3,000 Canadian dollars ($2,194) on secondary resale sites like Viagogo, Warren said.

Hard-core fans trailing their favorite singer or band on tour is not a new phenomenon. “Groupie” emerged in the late 1960s as a somewhat derogatory word for the ardent followers of rock bands. Deadheads took to the road in the 1970s to pursue the Grateful Dead from city to city.

More recently, music festivals like California’s Coachella and England’s Glastonbury, and concert residencies in Las Vegas by the likes of Elton John, Lady Gaga and Adele have attracted travelers to places they wouldn’t otherwise visit, Fish noted.

Travel and entertainment analysts have also spoken of a pent-up consumer demand for “experiences” over material objects since the coronavirus pandemic. Some think the willingness of music lovers to broaden their fandom horizons is part of the same mass cultural correction.

“It does seem like it’s more than a structural shift, maybe a personality transformation we all went through,” said Natalia Lechmanova, the chief economist for Mastercard in Europe.

As Swift hopscotches across Europe, Lechmanova expects restaurants and hotels to see the same boost that Mastercard observed within a 2.5-mile (4-kilometer) radius of concert venues in the U.S. cities she visited in 2023. The U.S. dollar's strong value against the euro may also increase retail spending on apparel, memorabilia, beauty products and supplies for the friendship bracelets fans exchange as part of the Eras Tour experience, the economist said.

Former college roommates Lizzy Hale, 34, who lives in Los Angeles, and Mitch Goulding, 33, who lives in Austin, Texas, already had tickets to see the Eras Tour in L.A. last summer when they decided to try to get ones for Paris, London or Edinburgh, Scotland, too. They saw a Europe concert trip as a makeup for travel plans they had in May 2020 to celebrate Goulding’s birthday but had to cancel due to the pandemic.

Goulding managed to secure VIP tickets for one of Swift's three Stockholm shows. He, Hale and two other friends scheduled a 10-day trip that also includes time in Amsterdam and Copenhagen.

“As people who enjoy traveling and enjoy music, if you can find an opportunity to combine the two, it's really special,” said Hale, who is pregnant with her first child.

The local economic impact of what the zeitgeist has termed “Swiftonomics” and the “Swift lift” can be considerable. Airbnb reported Tuesday that searches on its platform for the U.K. cities where Swift is performing in June and August — Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff and London — increased an average of 337% when tickets went on sale last summer.

Not to be outdone when it comes to trend-spotting, the property rentals company cited the demand as an example of “passion tourism,” or travel “driven by concerts, sports and other cultural events.”

In Stockholm, 120,000 out-of-towners from 130 countries -- among them 10,000 from the U.S. — are expected to swarm Sweden's capital this month, Stockholm Chamber of Commerce Chief Economist Carl Bergqvist said. Stockholm is the only Scandinavian city on Swift's tour, and airlines added extra flights from nearby Denmark, Finland and Norway to bring people to the May 17-19 shows, he said.

The city's 40,000 hotel rooms are sold out even though prices skyrocketed for the tour dates, Bergqvist said. Concert visitors are expected to pump around 500 million Swedish kroner, or over $46 million, into the local economy over the course of their stays, an estimate that does not include what they paid for Swift tickets or to get to Sweden, he said.

“So this is going to be huge for the tourism sector in Sweden and Stockholm in particular,” Bergqvist said.

Nightclubs, restaurants and bars are seizing the opportunity to cater to fans with Taylor Swift-themed events, such as karaoke, quizzes and after-concert dance parties.

Houston resident Caroline Matlock, 29, saw Swift more than a year ago when the Eras Tour came to the Texas city. Now she's making more friendship bracelets and trying to learn a few words of Swedish as she prepares to see the 3 1/2-hour show in Stockholm. The idea of seeing Swift in Europe was her friend's, and Matlock needed some persuading at first.

“I was like, ‘I only want to go if it's a country I haven’t been to. I’ve seen Taylor Swift,'” she said.

Visiting the Swedish cities of Oslo and Gothenburg are on their itinerary. The concert is the last night of the trip and Matlock looks forward to interacting with Swifties from other countries: “Americans tend to have a very obsessive culture, especially Taylor Swift-related, so I'm curious if the crowd will be more toned-down.”

It remains to be seen if the music tourism trend has legs as long and strong as Swift's and Beyoncé's, and if it will carry over to Billie Eilish, Usher and other artists with world tours scheduled next year. Expedia's Fish thinks other big-name artists in Europe this summer will prove that booking a foreign trip around a concert is catching on.

Kat Morga, a travel consultant based in Nashville, isn’t so sure. Morga saw Swift perform in Nashville last year and helped two clients with school-aged children book European family vacations this summer that include seeing Swift in concert. But she thinks the difficulty of navigating ticket purchases through language barriers, currency conversions, international banking regulations and the risk of cancellations will limit the appeal of regular gig getaways.

“I think this is an anomaly,” Morga said. “People aren’t typically going to build their $20,000 huge family vacation only because Taylor Swift is there. She’s the one-off. She’s special.”

Booking Holdings CEO Glenn Fogel, whose company operates Booking.com, priceline.com, agoda.com, Kayak and OpenTable, is even less enthusiastic about concert tours as a tourism instigator. The Swift Effect causes a “little blip” when the superstar goes to smaller destinations, but for the worldwide travel industry, “one star touring around does not make a difference,” he said.

“It may just shift it a little bit. A person was going to go to the Caribbean for a week vacation. Instead that person (says), ‘Let’s travel to the Taylor Swift thing,'" Fogel said. "It doesn’t increase it. It just moves it from here to there.”

Travis Scott is not ready to leave UTOPIA quite yet. After selling out his North American UTOPIA: CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour, La Flame will be taking the trek overseas, kicking off a summer European run of the tour in late June.

Suki Waterhouse Announces Tour 2 Months After Welcoming Baby With Robert Pattinson

Two months after becoming a mother for the first time, Suki Waterhouse is going on tour.

Daisy Jones & the Six star, 32, announced she will kick off her tour, The Sparklemuffin , in North America this fall.

“Couldn’t be more excited to get back on the road & see your beautiful faces!!” Waterhouse commented via Instagram on Monday, May 6.

In the post, Waterhouse sat stoically on the floor as a video about the Sparklemuffin peacock spider played on a television screen behind her.

“Deep in the rainforest, amongst the dense foliage and hidden within the undergrowth, resides a creature both captivating and enigmatic,” the narrator said. “This is the habitat of the Sparklemuffin spider. The Sparklemuffin spider, scientifically known as Maratus jactatus, is a species of peacock spider renowned for its dazzling appearance and intricate courtship rituals.”

The narrator also teased what to expect on the tour.

“ The Sparklemuffin Tour seeks to find like-minded arachnids keen on shaking tails for suitors in an impassioned love dance. Warning: If the female Sparklemuffin is not impressed by the suitor’s performance, she may cannibalize. Enter the web at your own risk.”

The 27-city tour begins September 28 in Denver, with stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Dallas, Philadelphia, New York City and more. The tour wraps up on December 21 in Atlanta.

The pre-sale tickets go on sale on Wednesday, May 8, at 8 a.m. local time on Waterhouse’s website. General sale begins on Friday, May 10, at 10 a.m. local time.

In March, Waterhouse and her longtime boyfriend, Robert Pattison , welcomed their first child, a daughter. Last month, they debuted the first photo of their baby.

“Welcome to the world angel ❤️,” Waterhouse, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, April 4.

Several of Waterhouse’s celebrity friends and costars flooded her Instagram comments, sharing their well-wishes.

“Congratulations love! So happy for you both!🥰,” Paris Hilton , who welcomed baby No. 2 via surrogate in late 2023, replied.

Halsey , meanwhile, referred to Waterhouse as a “rockstar mom” in their own Instagram comment.

Waterhouse referred to her baby when she performed at Coachella last month.

“I don’t know if some of you know, but I had some big life changes happen recently, some pretty big events have been going down,” she said during her Coachella debut. “I love amazing ladies and I’ve been very lucky to have my own little amazing lady and meet the love of my life.”

The English singer/actress revealed she has been keeping a video diary of her daughter.

“I bought a video camera when my baby was born and I’ve just been trying to film everyone that she meets and do, like, little interviews and try and have a little video at the end of the year,” she shared in an April 18 post.

“It’s also just for me to just lie in bed and watch this footage and just cry at events seeing her a couple of weeks ago because everything’s making me cry now!” Waterhouse continued.

“I’m just taking pictures of her all day long. Every day. Every hour. Every minute. I’ve never had more pictures of a baby in my life — well, of course I haven’t ’cause I’ve never had a baby before this,” she added.

According to the insider, Waterhouse and the Twilight star “couldn’t be happier” since the infant was born and the pair are already adjusting to their “new normal” as a family of three.

Pattinson and Waterhouse have been dating since July 2018, often keeping their relationship under wraps.

Since welcoming their first child, Waterhouse and Pattinson are looking forward to their next milestones as a couple. “They can’t wait for the next chapter when they make things official and tie the knot,” the insider added in March.

All eyes continue to be on Scottie Scheffler and his wife, Meredith , as the couple awaits the arrival of their first child.

The two-time major winner — who is coming off his second Masters win — will miss this week’s Wells Fargo Championship as the second major of the year, the PGA Championship, tees off later this month.

Scheffler, the world’s current No. 1, is still named on the PGA Championship field list that was posted Tuesday.

He tied for second in last year’s event, with Brooks Koepka claiming the top prize for his fifth major win and third overall at the tournament.

Baby watch became a storyline at the Masters in April, when it was reported the 27-year-old Scheffler would leave Augusta National early if Meredith went into labor .

He told reporters following the opening round, where he shot a six-under 66 , he’d be “ready to go at a moment’s notice.”

“As far as her going into labor, I wouldn’t say I’m very concerned, we haven’t seen any of the early signs, but pregnancy is weird and it can happen at any time. But, yeah, open lines of communication and she can get ahold of me if she needs to,” he said at the time.

In terms of the couple’s preparedness for parenthood, Scheffler offered a candid response.

“People have asked us how our preparation is going for the baby and it’s like, well, I feel like we are a little underprepared. The nursery isn’t quite ready and we’ve had some issues at our house the last few weeks. I think that’s the exciting part. I think we are definitely underprepared to be parents,”  Scheffler said .

Upon clinching his second green jacket with a final-round 68 for an 11-under par for the weekend, Scheffler shared a special message to Meredith , who was watching from home.

“I’ll be home as quick as I can,” Scheffler said in a post-tournament interview,  according to Golf.com . “I love you and I’m coming home.”

Meredith, who wed Scheffler in 2020, was at Augusta in 2022 when he edged out Rory McIlroy for his first Masters win.

She supported Scheffler during his Player’s Championship win at TPC Sawgrass in March.

Though Scheffler is sitting out of the Wells Fargo Championship , he hasn’t missed a swing.

Golf Channel’s Brentley Romine reported Saturday that Scheffler “was keeping his game sharp Thursday at Maridoe GC in Carrollton, Texas,” where he played with former Cowboys quarterback-turned-CBS Sports analyst Tony Romo.

The 2024 PGA Championship runs from May 16-19 at Valhalla Golf Club.

This collection of trunks was used to transport baseball equipment for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

More than a dozen major-league teams are trade show exhibitors at the enormous ipw 24 convention (5,700 delegates including 500 journalists) at the Los Angeles Convention Center this week.

Hoping to attract international business when foreigners visit the United States, the teams are not only promoting game tickets but group tours of their ballparks.

The Los Angeles Dodgers, one of the first teams with ballpark tours, hosted an ipw delegation of 43 people – mostly tour operators and media members from overseas – prior to the Braves-Dodgers game Saturday.

Their 45-minute tour covered both inside and outside areas of Dodger Stadium, the largest ballpark in the majors with a seating capacity of 56,000.

The facility, which opened in Chavez Ravine in 1962, is the third-oldest in the majors – following Boston’s Fenway Park (1912) and Chicago’s Wrigley Field (1914) – but is so well-maintained that it looks much younger than its actual age.

In fact, visiting players often come up the top of the seating bowl with their cameras to take photos of the panaromic view, which includes the San Gabriel Mountains and the famous HOLLYWOOD sign.

The tour, which costs $50 for individuals or $30 per person in a pre-arranged group, starts at the top, where the always-busy Dodgers Team Store sits next to Will Call ticket windows.

Fans enter on the ninth level, then ride elevators or escalators to their seat locations. If their timing is right, they could rub elbows with players headed to their clubhouses before the game.

Tour participants also get up close and personal with players on the field. During Saturday’s ipw group, Dodgers star Mookie Betts – recently converted from right field to shortstop – was taking practice grounders at third base only a few yards from the group, which was standing on the dirt path that stretched behind home plate in both directions.

The best part of the tour, most participants agreed, was a walk that passed large displays of trophies awarded to the team and its members. Included were World Championship trophies, Cy Young Awards, Rookie of the Year plaques, and Most Valuable Player awards. The Dodgers have a healthy share of such hardware.

Another area that attracted the attention of participants was the evolution of team nicknames, which went from “Trolley Dodgers,” a derisive description of Brooklynites by New York Giants fans, to “Robins,” named for one-time Brooklyn Dodgers manager Wilbert Robinson.

Nearby was a pile of trunks used to transport equipment whenever the team went on the road or headed to spring training. A full-size bullpen cart, capped by a giant blue Dodgers hat with a white intertwined LA, also sat in the stadium catacombs as if awaiting an actual pitching change.

There were old wooden seats, blown-up versions of tickets and baseball cards, and paintings of such memorable moments of team history as Don Drysdale’s scoreless innings streak, Fernando Valenzuela’s sudden success at age 20, and Kirk Gibson’s World Series homer. Valenzuela remains the only player to win Rookie of the Year honors and a Cy Young Award in the same season.

The tour also passed an exhibit of jerseys containing numbers retired to honor stars who wore them, from Drysdale (53) and Sandy Koufax (32) to Jackie Robinson (42), Duke Snider (4), and Gil Hodges (14). Among them were uniform tops worn by Hall of Fame managers Walt Alston (24) and Tommy Lasorda (2).

At one point, the tour guide ushered her group to the side of the corridor, suggesting that players might be passing by en route to their locker room.

Patrons did see several writers and broadcasters when the tour’s route passed right through the press box, named for the late Vin Scully, a team mainstay for 67 seasons.

Although several tour participants said they were disappointed not to receive “Dodger dogs” as a parting gift, they couldn’t complain about the longer-lasting souvenir they did receive: a blue LA hat with a small side patch that read “DODGER TOUR.”

The tour guide was a petite blonde well-versed in baseball and Dodgers history, which the team emphasizes among its employees. The Dodgers were the first major-league team to hire a full-time historian whose main job is to keep players informed of the team’s legacy.

Teams with booths at the ipw trade show included the Braves, Cubs, Giants, Mets, Padres, Red Sox, and Yankees, along with MLB Tourism, a new organization created by the Commissioner of Baseball.
