Travel-Assist im FL

War schon mal da

Weiß jemand, ob man den Travel-Assist im Facelift dauerhaft einschalten kann? Bei Betätigung der Bremse wird der gelöscht und es ist nur noch der Spurhalte-Assist aktiv. Das finde ich völlig nervig, den Travel-Assist dann wieder am Lenkrad aktiv schalten zu müssen. Im VFL war eine dauerhafte Aktivierung im Combiinstrument bei "adaptiver Spurhalteassistent" möglich. Beim FL gibts dass anscheinend nicht mehr!

Habe ich auch noch nicht gefunden. Dass das im VFL ging, wusste ich nicht, da ich vorher Touran gefahren bin. Nervt mich genauso wie Dich.  

Kennt sich aus

Ich wüsste nicht, dass das im VFL gegangen wäre. Habe ich zumindest noch nicht festgestellt.  

Aber im Thread war doch von der dauerhaften Aktivierung des Travel Assist die Rede.  

Ja, natürlich hat der Travel Assist noch mehr Funktionen. Mir geht es aber um den Adaptiven Spurhalteassistent, der beim FL nur noch durch den Travel-Assist temporär aktiviert werden kann und nicht mehr getrennt dauerhaft, wie beim VFL (evtl. war das auch nur beim Schaltgetriebe möglich, den ich als VFL gefahren habe)

Der Weltöffentlichkeit wurde der Skoda Karoq im Mai 2017 vorgestellt. Seit Herbst 2017 steht das Fahrzeug bei den Händlern und trat dort offiziell die Nachfolge des Skoda Yeti an. Wie seine Konzern-Geschwister VW T-Roc und Seat Ateca ist das neue Skoda-SUV auf der zweiten Generation des modularen Querbaukastens , kurz MQB , aufgebaut. Die zur Auswahl stehende Motorenpalette umfasst drei Dieselaggregate und zwei Ottomotoren mit 1,0 bis 2,0 Liter Hubraum .

Die Basis bei den Benzinern bildet der auch im Seat Ateca und VW T-Roc verbaute 1,0-Liter-TSI-Motor mit einer Leistung von 85 kW. Sowohl der 1,0-Liter- als auch der 1,5-Liter-TSI mit 110 kW geben die Leistung ab Werk an die vorderen Räder weiter und sind an ein manuelles 6-Gang-Schaltgetriebe geschraubt. Das 1,5-Liter-Aggregat kann auf Wunsch auch mit Allradantrieb und 7-Gang-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe geordert werden. Der kleinste Dieselmotor mit 1,6 Litern Hubraum leistet ebenfalls 85 kW und ist serienmäßig mit einem 6-Gang-Handschaltgetriebe und Frontantrieb verfügbar, als Option bietet Skoda seinen Kunden auch ein 7-Gang-Direktschaltgetriebe an.

Bei den Spätzündern ergänzt der 2,0-Liter-Motor mit 110 kW sinnvoll das Angebot an Dieselmotoren . Er ist wie der 1,6-Liter-Diesel ab Werk an das 6-Gang-Handschaltgetriebe gekoppelt und gibt die Kraft permanent an alle vier Räder weiter. Optional ist das 7-Gang-Direktschaltgetriebe ebenfalls als Sonderausstattung bestellbar. Im Oktober 2018 präsentierte Skoda auf der Paris Motor Show mit dem Karoq Scout einen weiteren Diesel mit 2,0 Liter Hubraum und 140 kW Leistung , welcher standardmäßig über einen Allradantrieb verfügt und mit einem 7-Gang-DSG gekoppelt ist.

In Deutschland , Österreich und der Schweiz (DACH) kann zwischen den beiden Ausstattungslinien Ambition und Style gewählt werden. Die Basisausstattungsversion Active kommt zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt. Die Varianten Ambition und Style unterscheiden sich in der Optik und dem Umfang der gewünschten Ausstattung . Mit der Ausstattungslinie Scout erweitert Skoda demnächst das Modellangebot beim Skoda Karoq . Die Scout-Modelle sind bereits serienmäßig mit Allradantrieb und einem Schlechtwege-Paket ausgerüstet.

Travel Assist Currently Unavailable

I bought a new Kodiaq L&K in May 2022, and it's started a couple of weeks ago showing the fault 'Travel Assist Currently Unavailable' accompanied by a loud audible bleep, which can then be repeated every few seconds making driving a major distraction. Put it into the dealer, and they say it's a software fault for which there is no fix yet. They have offered a workaround which disables travel assist and also disables the emergency braking system, but ask you to sign a disclaimer beforehand with various unacceptable terms within - not done that for obvious reasons. I'm a newcomer to the forum, but suspect this is a problem that's been around for a while. Interested if anyone else has experienced this, and what they've been able to do about it? Many Thanks  

Is it more prone on a frosty morning, and does the alert clear if you drive for a while? The system relies on the camera that's within the black area behind the rear view mirror and that's often one of the last places to get cleared either by the wipers or the heated windscreen (if you have that). If you're scraping the windscreen before driving, make sure you properly clear that area of the windscreen such that you can see the aperture for the camera. I don't have the full travel assist, but I do get alerts for either the adaptive high beam and also fwd assist not available if the car is frosty and I just rely on the heated screen to clear the frost - the area around the camera isn't heated afaik. If it's all the time then guess you've got a faulty system and it would need the dealer to investigate it properly.

We are having exactly the same issue with our 2021 Kodiaq and its driving us mad. the car has already had its heated steering wheel replaced last year as it was only a problem when the heated wheel was on. That seemed to fix the problem until recently. Now it can happen at any random time. The car was in the dealers yesterday and they are refusing to acknowledge the fault as there is no fault codes stored and they cannot recreate the issue. Really interested to hear that your dealer acknowledged its a known issue, I called Skoda UK to ask them about it, but they were useless and just referred me back to the dealers. We had the issue with the camera converting speed signs from MPH to KPH across all VW group and that took months for them to fix. please keep us updated with any progress you make.

We have the same Travel Assist fault start on our 2020 car. Very annoying when it is happening. It seems to be random when it happens, didn't start doing it till last week and we have had the car since new. Booked it in to the dealers to hopefully sort out.  

I’ve had our Kodiak for 9 months now. Travel assist fault completely random. Sometimes constant for a few minutes other times only once in weeks. It’s the repeated high pitch beep that’s really annoying. Especially very distracting, disturbing and dangerous while driving on the motorway. The unexpected first beep frightens the life out of me…… would expect that Skoda prioritise such a problem and offer a solution however sadly not. Bad show from this manufacturer. Considering changing brand when renewal due.  

Hi Billy We brought a new Karoq in 2021 1.5 Edition all good but have had a couple of times where the car went in for reboot of software due to probs with sat nav. Then it got got worse with the Travel asset coming on mainly at low speed (around15/30) but occasionally at motorway speed. They eventually changed the steering wheel, and peace. That was about 8/9 months ago and you've guessed it it's back, and it seems worse than ever. They don't know when the problem will be solved, I was offered the same sign this disclaimer, but like you I turned it down. Im going to make further enquires as to what recompense can be given. On short journeys it's annoying and distracting, on long journeys it's terrible in fact its got to the stage where we use another car on anything over 50 miles. Im definitely going to look for some form of compensation. I brought a Skoda because they always came out well in customer surveys. Need to seat if any VW/Audi/Seat etc suffer the same problem. Good Luck.  

My understanding is the problem is widespread across VW brands.  

Had car at dealers for service and to fix the Travel Assist issue. No issues with the service but they said they could not fault the Travel Assist with no fault codes logged. Apparently they took it for a few test drives but the issue did not appear so could not do anything. On the way home with the car, Travel Assist unavailable but this time I got a video of it and have sent it to them and now wait a response. I didn't bother with a video before as it was happening every journey so didn't think it would be needed. Has anyone managed to get the issue fixed.  

Hi guys, Same issue with the travel assist on my Kodiaq. Video of issue was very important to start the process. Dealer ordered a new steering wheel a few weeks back and called me last week to come in for a software update (apparently Skoda issued a service recall for some cars with this issue). I'm in the service now, waiting for the update to be done. I'm still a bit worried that the issue may be a hardware one. I'll let you know if it fixes it. But it may be worth it to check with them about that.

Travel Assist

Das optionale Fahrerassistenzsystem «Travel Assist» umfasst verschiedene Systeme und Funktionen, die wir Ihnen auf den folgenden Seiten einzeln vorstellen. Werden diese miteinander verzahnt, kann das Fahrzeug das Fahren erheblich erleichtern und den Reisekomfort erhöhen . Nach der Aktivierung kann das Fahrerassistenzsystem «Travel Assist» das Fahrzeug automatisch anhalten und wieder anfahren lassen, das Fahrzeug in der Spur halten, anderen Autos in einem Stau folgen und den umgebenden Verkehr auf einem Display vor Ihnen anzeigen.

Predictive Cruise Control

Die neue Predictive Cruise Control (PCC) erweitert die Funktionen der Geschwindigkeitsregelanlage mit Distanzkontrolle (Adaptive Cruise Control). Sie überwacht nicht nur den vorausfahrenden Verkehr, sondern verarbeitet auch erkannte Verkehrszeichen und Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzungen, die im Navigationssystem hinterlegt sind. Auf Grundlage dieser Informationen wird die Geschwindigkeit rechtzeitig angepasst , beispielsweise wenn sich das Fahrzeug einer Kurve, einem Kreisverkehr oder einer Kreuzung nähert oder als Reaktion auf eine Änderung der erlaubten Höchstgeschwindigkeit.

Verkehrszeichenerkennung

Ein Bildverarbeitungsmodul sucht die gescannten Bilder auf bekannte Verkehrsschilder ab und vergleicht die Ergebnisse mit den Daten des Navigationssystems. Das System verarbeitet Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzungsschilder, Überholverbotsschilder, «Einfahrt verboten»-Schilder an Einbahnstrassen und allfällige Zusatzbestimmungen sowie die entsprechenden Aufhebungsschilder und zeigt sie dem Fahrer.

Spurhalteassistent «Adaptive Lane Assist»

Dieser Assistent sorgt dafür, dass Sie in der Mitte der Fahrspur bleiben. Das System verwendet hierzu eine Kamera, welche die Fahrbahnmarkierungen auf der Strasse erkennt , selbst gelbe Baustellenlinien, Verkehrskegel und sonstige Strassen- oder Fahrbahnbegrenzungen. Bei der «+» erweiterten Ausführung «Adaptive» (nur im Rahmen von «Travel Assist» erhältlich) greift das System in die Steuerung ein und versucht, das Fahrzeug in der ausgewählten Fahrspur zu halten, ohne dass es dabei ins Pendeln gerät.

Stauassistent «Traffic Jam Assist»

Der Stauassistent «Traffic Jam Assist» erleichtert das Fahren bei Stau . Er nutzt die Geschwindigkeitsregelanlage mit Distanzkontrolle (Adaptive Cruise Control) und den Spurhalteassistenten (Adaptive Lane Assist) zum Anfahren und Abbremsen sowie für die Steuerung des Lenkrads und passt das Fahrzeug so an die Bewegung der umliegenden Fahrzeuge in einem Verkehrsstau an.

Notfallassistent «Emergency Assistant»

Der Notfallassistent (Emergency Assistant) mindert das Unfallrisiko bei einem Unwohlsein des Fahrers. Sobald der Spurhalteassistent (Adaptive Lane Assist) erkennt, dass sich die Hände des Fahrers auch nach einer Warnmeldung nicht auf dem Lenkrad befinden, wird der Notfallassistent (Emergency Assistant) aktiviert: Dieser bremst das Fahrzeug bis zum Stillstand ab , hält dabei die Spur und schaltet die Warnblinkanlage ein.

There is not a feminine equivalent for a blacksmith, therefore I will simply introduce Anna Biletskaya as the blacksmith. Anna, armed with a heavy hammer and an anvil, is able to forge a horseshoe for a horse in 15 minutes and a decorative horseshoe for luck in only 10 minutes. Well the last one is more in demand lately. Anna opened her smithy to visitors a few years ago. This blacksmith in a skirt shows the whole process during her short master classes: first heat a piece of metal over a fire, then take a hammer and beat it well on the anvil, pull it back, then bend it and put it back into the fire. Finally, cool and clean it.

Visit "The Gold of Altai"(Zoloto Altaya) - to bath in Sanduny or to ride a horse

A hot bath filled with herbs such as hypericum, yarrow, camomile and also a rejuvenating bathtub -  these are the Russian answer to the best Asian spa with plumeria flowers. Well, the Altai version looks more brutal, but you will quickly feel the great effect. The herbs are collected and specially prepared here, in "The Gold of Altai" eco-hotel on the shore of the lake. Bathhouses are warmed up in both old Russian traditional ways: the "black" banya (a smoke goes out of bathhouse through cracks in wooden walls) and the "white" banya (a smoke goes out of the bathhouse through a pipe). The professional bath attendants will help guests adjust the right amount of steam and smack them briskly all over their bodies with special bath brooms. The largest horse farm in this district is also located in the hotel area; you should not miss the chance to ride a horse at least around the local territory.

• Stop by the village of Srostki, where Vasily Shukshin (the soviet movie director) was born

Travel Assist vereint mehrere Systeme und Funktionen. Zusammen erleichtern sie das Fahren und erhöhen den Fahrkomfort. Sobald der Travel Assist aktiviert wird, hilft er, die Spur zu halten oder anderen Fahrzeugen zu folgen.

Vorausschauender Abstandsassistent

Der vorausschauende Abstandsassistent erweitert den Funktionsumfang des adaptiven Abstandassistenten. Er behält den Verkehr im Auge und erkennt Verkehrsschilder sowie Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzungen. So kann das Fahrzeug rechtzeitig die Geschwindigkeit anpassen – beispielsweise in einer Kurve, an einer Kreuzung oder wenn sich die Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzungen ändern.

Verkehrszeichenerkennung

Das System erkennt Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzungen, Überholverbotsschilder oder Einfahrtverbotsschilder an Einbahnstraßen. Zusätzlich erkennt es, wenn Beschränkungen aufgehoben werden.

Adaptiver Spurhalteassistent

Der Spurhalteassistent erkennt mithilfe einer Multifunktionskamera Spurmarkierungen, Leitkegel und andere Straßenabgrenzungen und merkt so wenn Sie unbeabsichtigt die Fahrspur verlassen. Die erweiterte "adaptive" Variante wirkt einem ungewollten Spurwechsel entgegen und verhindert so, dass das Fahrzeug Schlangenlinien fährt.
