With sales of over 180 million records worldwide, Janet Jackson stands as one of the best-selling artists of all time with a string of hits that have left an indelible impression on pop culture. She is the record holder for the biggest selling debut tour in history and is the first woman to debut in the Top 10 of the Hot 100 charts. She also stands as one of only four artists to have a #1 album for four successive decades alongside Barbra Streisand, Bruce Springsteen and U2. Even today she continues to make an undeniable impact. In 2018, her last single, “Made for Now” with Daddy Yankee, released by her own Rhythm Nation Records, hit #1 on the Dance Clubs Songs chart making it her 20th single on the chart in the span of her career. In 2019, she was inducted the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside her brothers and in that same year her critically acclaimed Las Vegas residency, “Metamorphosis” closed out to record breaking ticket sales with only 18 dates at the Park MGM’s Park Theater. As reported by Billboard Boxscore, the legendary singer, dancer, songwriter, producer, and actress is among the biggest Vegas performers of this decade, ahead of Celine Dion (2011), Britney Spears (2013) and the Backstreet Boys (2017). Her critically acclaimed and award winning documentary “Janet Jackson.” brought in over 20 million viewers in one week.
On February 4, 2021, Janet Jackson’s iconic mega platinum-selling third album Control turned 35. The album also returned to the top of the charts, hitting #1 on the Apple Top 40 US Pop Album chart. Led by five chart-busting hit singles — “What Have You Done for Me Lately,” “Nasty,” “Control,” “When I Think Of You,” —with their complementary, tightly choreographed music videos — and “Let’s Wait Awhile,” Control became Jackson’s first No. 1 Pop album. The album also made Billboard chart history for having the longest continuous run on the Hot 100 with singles from one album, ultimately tallying a remarkable 65 consecutive weeks from that perch. To date, Control has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide.
About Chris “Ludacris” Bridges
The career of the multi-talented CHRIS “LUDACRIS” BRIDGES can best be described as remarkable. As a recording artist, he has sold more than 24 million albums worldwide, thanks to the blockbuster success of such singles as “Stand Up,” “Get Back,” “Southern Hospitality,” “Number One Spot,” “Money Maker” and “My Chick Bad.” All of these records were accompanied by ingenious videos that demonstrated Bridges’ far-reaching imagination, and his willingness to stretch the boundaries of what rap videos should look and feel like.
With an unrivaled match of lyrical acumen, wit, and imagery, Ludacris has solidified himself as one of music’s premier entertainers. His versatility and artistic complexity also enabled him to make a seamless transition to acting, including the fan favorite role of “Tej” in Universal Pictures’ box office phenomenon Fast & Furious franchise where he was introduced for the first time in 2003 in 2 Fast 2 Furious. He will reprise his role of “Tej” for the seventh time in Fast X, which is set to release May 20, 2023.
His other notable feature film credits include Garry Marshall’s ensemble comedy New Year’s Eve, Ivan Reitman’s romantic comedy, No Strings Attached, Paul Higgin’s Crash which received an Academy Award for Best Picture in 2006 and Hustle & Flow which earned Bridges a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.
As a father of four girls, his latest ventures fittingly include launching his educational platform devoted to the enrichment of children called “KidNation”. In addition, Bridges created the animated series KARMA’S WORLD which launched in the Top 10 in 42 countries on Netflix, received two NAACP Award nominations and is already on its fourth season. The series for children ages 6-9 is a coming-of-age story about a young Black girl finding her voice and using it to change her world — originally inspired by Chris’s oldest daughter Karma and based on the interactive educational website of the same name created by Karma’s World Entertainment in 2009.
A consummate businessman, Ludacris is enjoying success outside of entertainment. One of his most successful ventures includes opening his long-anticipated restaurant “Chicken-n-Beer” at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport with a new location opening at LAX in 2023.
Bridge’s philanthropic efforts rival his entertainment accomplishments. He started The Ludacris Foundation in 2001 which focuses on helping the youth in his hometown of Atlanta and has partnered with No Kid Hungry and Feeding America.

‘Sheinelle, don’t get weird’: Janet Jackson bonds with a ‘Today’ host superfan
When Janet Jackson showed up Friday on ‘Today,’ she likely didn’t expect the outpouring of admiration that came from superfan host Sheinelle Jones.
Dec. 16, 2022
During Jackson’s encore performance of “Together Again,”Jones joined her onstage. The “That’s the Way Love Goes” artist extended an invitation for the broadcast journalist to be one of her backup dancers for the day after Jones channeled Jackson for the 2019 Halloween episode of NBC’s “Today” show.
“I would love for you to join me,” Jackson told Jones a few months ago while promoting her tour on the morning program. “You should.”
Fast-forward to this weekend, when Jackson gave Jones a backstage tour and a rare interview reflecting on her life, career and upcoming documentary, which will include footage from the Together Again tour.
“Maybe it’s because I’m not as shy as I used to be,” Jackson said of her decision to document this phase of her journey. “I’m a little bit more open to sharing more in my life than I ever did before.”

The Hollywood Bowl 2023 lineup includes Janet Jackson, Culture Club and movies galore
The Los Angeles Philharmonic announced the Hollywood Bowl’s 2023 season lineup on Tuesday, including opening night with Janet Jackson, a Beach Boys fireworks spectacular, a 90th birthday tribute to Quincy Jones and more.
Feb. 7, 2023
After practicing for hours with Jackson’s backup dancers and alone in her hotel room, Jones performed a short routine to the tune of “Together Again” alongside her idol at the Hard Rock Live.
“Last night I kept trying to find the place between being out of my body and trying to stay in my body and actually get on that stage,” Jones said Monday on “Today.”
“When I was in high school, I had pictures of news anchors on one wall, and then I had pictures of Janet Jackson on another ... and when I was in seventh grade, I would make up dances to Janet. And so to be on that stage last night, it was ... surreal.”
Jackson’s Together Again tour encompasses more than 30 cities across the United States and Canada, including five stops in California. The veteran musician is scheduled to come to Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego, Highland and Mountain View in June.
On June 10, Jackson will headline opening night of the Hollywood Bowl’s 2023 season with support from Ludacris and members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s youth orchestra.

“I was going through so much in my life,” Jackson said at the event, “and it was so deep, in trying to find and figure out who I am, where I stand. And at the end of the day, like I did with the other albums, just putting it down, never keeping a journal. I’m sure a lot of you already know this. And I didn’t know if my fans would like it.”

I got to see the Jackson’s perform on March 1st 2019 at treasure island casino in Welch MN. I had the best time! I was a little bummed out that Jermaine wasn’t there but I still had the best time! 3 of my favorite Jackson’s songs are I want you back, I’ll be there, and Wanna be startin' somethin’
Well let me tell you guys something I have not met or see the Jackson's concert at all but I had been to Michael Jackson's concert for the very first time since I was only 4 years old. And I have'd told my mom that she had to tell me everything about Michael Jackson but I had no idea. And besides I didn't remember Michael Jackson at his concert because I was way to little to remember. But when I was 16 or 17 years old my mom told me everything about Michael Jackson since by that time I have never imagine how I met Michael Jackson. And anyway now since I'm 19 years old. And now I still miss Michael Jackson a lot since he was gone for a every long time. But it can be very sad that he was gone. When we had lost Michael Jackson from this man named Dr. Conrad Robert Murray who was the American criminal trial of Michael Jackson's personal physician,Dr. Conrad Murray, who was charged with involuntary manslaughter for the Michael Jackson's death on June 25, 2009,from a massive overdose of the general anesthetic propofol. And to be honest I will still love Michael Jackson no matter what even he is not here performing at his concerts or traveling and performing at the same time. But you know what Michael Jackson will always be in our hearts even it is to sad that he is gone and no longer performing and here with his fans all around the world. But the most important thing we can do for Michael Jackson's family is to honor him and his family and respecting them the way Michael Jackson did to us. And also remember the good times we had with Michael Jackson at his performance and everything we did with him at his concerts here in California in Los Angeles. And I know we all miss Michael Jackson. And lets honor to the most famous and entertainers from Gary, Indiana where Michael Jackson was born. That's all I can say to telling you everything about Michael Jackson so yeah that's all I can say for now. Thank you for you support and your blessings for Michael Jackson. May god gives your blessings to everyone and to the honor of the Jackson family members only. (R.I.P) to the legendary king of pop Michael J. Jackson.

Janet Jackson is bold, fierce as she delivers the hits: Best moments of 'Together Again' tour
BRISTOW, Va. – All Janet Jackson needs to do is look fierce and snap “gimme a beat,” and everything falls into place.
At the 13 th of the 37 shows of her Together Again tour , Jackson maintained her hallmark precision throughout a nearly two-hour reminiscence of her 40-year career. It is a production choreographed by every definition, with five acts and an encore, 34 songs – though many are carved into medleys – and casual-cool fashion statements.
The 20,000-plus packing every inch of Jiffy Lube Live amphitheater in Northern Virginia on Saturday didn’t seem fazed by the bass-heavy mix that rendered some vocals inaudible. They just wanted to marvel at Jackson, who turns 57 on May 16, as she slithered her hips, squared her shoulders and invited the audience to head-bob along with her.
Here are some highlights from Jackson’s first tour in four years.
Janet Jackson packs the smashes into Act 2
Against a stark white backdrop with swirled black accents, Jackson and her dance troupe rolls through hits from Jackson’s first No. 1 pop album, 1986’s Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis-produced “Control.”
Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.
The tour version of “What Have You Done For Me Lately?” offers an incessant bass line that pumps with shades of Madonna’s “Vogue.” Jackson’s dancers reproduce some of the most memorable moves from the song’s video (the backward hand wave still sends a message), while she saves her toughest moves – taut elbow snaps and rapid knee knocks – for “Nasty.”
Though Jackson doesn't talk much throughout the show, she reminds the crowd that “When I Think Of You,” performed with flirty cutesiness, was her first No. 1 hit.
In her black pants and white top with symmetrical black stripes, Jackson grins as she uses a chair as a dance prop during “Control,” which drips with finger-snapping sass.
The second half of Act 2 is dedicated to Jackson’s balladry, and she finally takes a breather and sits while she sings. Her voice – which isn’t often heard too robustly during the show – is light and pretty during “Again.” After holding a long note toward the end of the ballad, Jackson tears up, putting her hand over her eyes as she tries to finish the song. Her emotion seems prompted by her ability to hit the challenging note and the crowd’s rapturous response.
Janet Jackson is performing rarely played songs on tour
The first hint that Jackson’s show is going to span far beyond her dozens of hits comes with the strains of music heard on stage – “Damita Jo,” the title track of her 2004 album that isn’t heralded as often as her MTV-era work.
During Act 3, Jackson mentions that one of the joys of her live performances is the ability to “play songs that I haven’t played on tour before.”
Fans didn’t seem to expect an appearance from “Throb,” a track from her 1993 eponymous album, or a medley that included “Girlfriend/Boyfriend” – Jackson’s 1999 collaboration with Blackstreet – and “Do It 2 Me,” from 2006’s “20 Y.O.” release.
The hip-hop dance track “So Excited,” also from “20 Y.O.” was mostly ignored on radio upon its release but found a home in the clubs. The crowd’s reaction indicates that many fans were hardly unfamiliar with it.
Janet Jackson makes several fashion statements
For her opening act, Jackson opts for a regal look of a gold body suit accented with a purple sash to match her backup dancers. Of course, she wears her patented headset throughout the night and also dons a lengthy high ponytail that bounces with her every step.
When Jackson gets rolling in Act 3 with a fizzy rendition of “All For You,” she bops around the stage, all writhing hips and shuffling feet, in a hot pink jumpsuit accented with green plaid.
And by the Act 4 hit parade that includes “Miss You Much” and "Love Will Never Do (Without You)," Jackson comes down from a raised platform sporting a black hooded cape and a black shirt emblazoned with Rhythm Nation – fitting, since, of course, this is the segment that wraps with “Rhythm Nation,” her sharp-edged social commentary from 1989’s “Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814,” her most formidable album.

Janet Jackson Is Still Nasty After All These Years

Madison Square Garden in New York was a party on Monday night. That’s because Janet Jackson had taken over the arena for the first of two shows on her Together Again Tour . As the audience waited for the show to begin, the DJ got the energy up as he pumped kickback classics like Faith Evans’ “Love Like This” and, of course, some Jackson 5.
Ludacris opened, serving as a surprisingly fitting special guest. The conceit of his set was not knowing if the crowd was really full of “day-one Luda fans,” which is a hard thing for any millennial (or older member of the crowd) to not be. He ran through a verse or two of his biggest hits and guest spots — “Act a Fool,’ “Area Codes,” Fergie’s “Glamorous,” Lil Jon’s “Lovers & Friends” — pulling out his oversize sneakers for “Stand Up” and his fake big arms for “Get Back.” The crowd went especially wild for his iconic “Yeah!” verse and closer “Move Bitch.”
The concert’s first act was a surprising run of material, including the first of three versions of “Together Again” she would perform throughout the night. The song is the tour’s namesake and helps mark the 25th anniversary of The Velvet Rope ; it’s also a powerful single about unity, inspired by her suddenly losing a friend from complications due to AIDS. Its many remixes and iterations served as a great through line for the show.
Editor’s picks
Every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term, the 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history.
The transition between “acts” showed the biggest glaring issue of the night: As she and her quartet of male dancers went backstage to change, the audience was left to stare for several minutes at pretty boring screen visuals (or nothing at all) while the music continued. It slowed the show down significantly, mellowing the high of getting to see Jackson live, in the flesh.
Act II got the energy back up, as Jackson blazed through Eighties hits like “What Have You Done for Me Lately,” “Nasty,” and “The Pleasure Principle.” She still dances with the type of effortless, sweat-free ease that’s made her such a standout in all eras of her career. Some audience members saw their muscle memory activate as they themselves imitated the video choreography that was inescapable on MTV so many decades ago.

For Jackson’s final act, she returned to the stage in a “Rhythm Nation” shirt before running through several songs from the classic 1989 album. The only divergence was for “Scream,” her hit 1995 duet with late brother Michael, though she brought it back to Rhythm Nation by mashing it up with a bit of “Black Cat.”
The encore began from backstage, as the camera caught Jackson singing while getting makeup touchups, then followed her back to the stage. Appropriately, the final song was another “Together Again,” this time the originally released version of the track. Jackson and her dancers joyfully ran around the stage, the most she let her diva-focused facade crack all night. They were even joined by four new dancers, two of whom won the opportunity to be onstage with her on an earlier episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. It was the end of a ruthlessly packed greatest-hits set, that even with the nearly 40 songs she ran through still left room for wanting more. Luckily, it doesn’t seem like Ms. Jackson is letting up anytime soon.

Janet Jackson Is Going Out On The ‘Together Again’ Headlining Tour In 2023
There was a moment midway through Janet Jackson’s headlining set at the 2018 Outside Lands Festival where she took what seemed like her first full breath of the night. “It’s a lot of hits, huh?” she asked the rabid crowd. And it really was. Janet has dozens upon dozens of certified #hits, and she’ll finally be taking them on a proper tour of amphitheaters and stadiums in 2023 for the first time in years.
Dubbed the Together Again Tour, there won’t be any festival schedules to look at, just Janet. Well, and Ludacris , who’ll be supporting the “That’s The Way Love Goes” star on each of the cross country and Canada dates of next year’s tour. And as an added bonus, Janet said took to Instagram to also say that, “That there will be new music.”

Janet Jackson's sexy, powerful Phoenix performance proves she's still the Queen of Pop
It’s been 37 years since Janet Jackson staked her claim as a pop icon in the making with “What Have You Done for Me Lately,” the first of six hit singles from “Control,” an aptly titled breakthrough album she released at 19 as the youngest member of the Jackson family.
Four years later, she became the only artist in the history of the Hot 100 to land seven singles from one album ("Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814") in the Top 5.
And the hits kept coming well into this century.
By any reasonable standard, she remains one of the most successful pop stars of her generation, a point made abundantly clear in the breathless journey Jackson took through many of the highlights of her catalog at Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre on Wednesday, June 7.

It was immediately clear that Janet Jackson has still got the moves
The Together Again Tour, named for one of 10 songs Jackson took to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, drew a huge crowd to the outdoor venue, where she made her entrance in a hooded purple cloak and set the tone for her performance with “Damita Jo,” the title track to a triple-platinum triumph from 2004.
It wasn’t long before she lost the cloak to reveal a glittering gold catsuit with a purple bow around the waist as she moved quickly through the first of four acts flanked by four male dancers.
At 57, she’s still got the moves, leading her dancers through the sort of choreography she’s taught us to expect from a night out with Janet.
Or Ms. Jackson if you’re nasty.
And she sounded great, although her vocals did get overpowered in the mix at times — this despite the fact that she often appeared to be relying heavily on piped-in vocal tracks.
Taylor Swift Eras Tour: 5 magic moments at State Farm Stadium that Arizonans saw first
Act II went heavy on 'Control,' including 'Nasty' and 'Let's Wait Awhile'
The second act went heavy on “Control,” from the hard-hitting digital R&B groove of “What Have You Done For Me Lately,” “When I Think of You” and “Nasty” to “Let’s Wait Awhile,” the soulful ballad for which Jackson took a seat.
By that point, the musicians in her touring band had emerged from the shadows, allowing the fans to see that she wasn’t just singing along to prerecorded tracks.
After letting the audience handle the vocals on “Again,” she brought the concert’s second act to a steamy conclusion by giving her dancers a chair dance while performing “I Get Lonely.”
Act III highlights ranged from two chart-topping singles released at the turn of the century, “Doesn’t Really Matter” and “All For You,” to a suitably erotic “So Excited,” which she prefaced by her telling her fans “Y’all got me so excited up here.”
Janet Jackson rocked a Rhythm Nation T-shirt for the final act
For the fourth and final act, Jackson returned to the stage in a “Rhythm Nation” T-shirt and jacket and put the spotlight squarely on that classic album, from “The Knowledge” to all four singles that she took to No. 1 before bringing the set to a triumphant finish with the title track.
That last act also featured her iconic older brother, Michael Jackson, in the video to “Scream.”
She signed off with a one-song encore, singing “Together Again” one final time.
By that point, she’d done roughly 40 songs in a nearly two-hour performance, from giant hits to album tracks, including several songs she hadn’t performed before this tour.
Many songs were featured in abbreviated versions or medleys, the better to cover more ground, an approach that kept things moving like a halftime show while also serving as a breathtaking reminder of just what a cultural force she’s been for nearly 40 years.
And speaking of halftime show performances, it may be time the NFL considered having Jackson back to headline her own halftime show at next year’s Super Bowl. She’s clearly got the hits — and moves — to turn in one of the more memorable shows in recent memory.
Who is opening for Janet Jackson's 2023 tour?
DJ Infamous Talk2Me got the party started, spinning classic tracks from Prince’s “Kiss” to the Sugarhill Gang’s “Apache” and the Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back.”
He also called for a moment of silence to honor Tina Turner, whose death inspired a heartfelt tribute at the Lizzo show in Phoenix , where the singer shouted, "Without Tina Turner, there would be no rock 'n' roll," before leading her band in a raucous cover of "Proud Mary."
At the end of his set, DJ Infamous Talk2Me welcomed Ludacris to the stage for a wildly entertaining opening set that hit the ground running with “Southern Fried Intro.”
Two songs in, he greeted the crowd with “I go by the name of Ludacris and I just want to say, humbly speaking, I was born to be on this stage.” And with that, he was off on a fast-rapping trip through his catalog, from “Act a Fool” and “Southern Hospitality” to “What’s Your Fantasy” and “Stand Up.”
That last one found Ludacris prowling the stage in giant sneakers, saying, “Don’t act like y’all didn’t see these big-ass shoes.”
On “Ludaversal,” he shouted “I’m as hungry as the first day,” and that’s exactly how it felt as he delivered on his promise to “give you the show of a lifetime celebrating 23 years of platinum hits.”

The show looks incredibly cheap and low budget. It’s a chop for me.
It looks cheap because it IS 😆 🤣 😂
RENAISSANCE TOUR cost of production is higher than the entire GROSS + PRODUCTION COST of all of the ‘Together A FLOP Tour’ Gross combined. 😆 🤣 😂
A TRUE artist don’t need a big production and all the bells and whistles! Besides, Janet’s been there and done that!
I saw and heard the renaissance tour elaborate staging helps with distracting the stiff/clumpy performance Beyawnce was clopping.
Who gives a f*** about Beyonces tour? And since you have so much to say where is yours? And moving from one refrigerator to the next is not a tour. Damn let her live, she doesn’t have to an over the top production to entertain.
So! Your basing your comment on a tour, that is actually copying the Jackson Family in some form of another. Even honoring the Jackson’s OKAY 👍
gordoputoculorotoysucio!
First of all how is it a flop do you know the definition of that word?? Take all that “production” away and still can sell out a show and oh not promote an album for the tour then let us know something. Janet don’t need all that distraction on her stage to sell out a venue Beyoncé goes to every Janet tour and I’m sure takes notes at 57 the true “blueprint” is still the Queen period.
Great show but the production was definitely cheap.
Janet’s production was not cheap her wardrobe alone was high as hell wearing Valentino and custom red bottoms thigh high boots. So many is tryna compare her tour with the Renaissance tour whoever designed that wardrobe needs their eyes checked
BAAAAA-BY….Ms. Janet comes from an era where they didn’t need all the bells and whistles because back then, you HAD to have talent to be a performer onstage. Janet, nor Michael have never had big stage productions because they didn’t need them. All that mess beYAWNce has going on, is called being OVER-THE-TOP….to cover up her horrible performance, and as noted, her fans at the start of her tour where complaining and making excuses as to why she wasn’t dancing, and then saying things like, she hurt her leg, and she’s toning it down because she’s focusing on her singing, all kinds of quips…and I’m laughing at this mess of a show and the FLEAhive for covering for her. She had over 150 dancers, an electronic horse that malfunctions and then she showed her true self by throwing a trantrum on the horse, and it was hilarious because she proved exactly what kind of spoiled, overrated piece of sh*t she is. Crying to get what she wants…and that’s why she loves the FLEAhive attacking people on her behalf because they are, who she is as she hides behind that facade that she’s so quiet and innocent….LMAO. At the end of the day beYAWNce is killing herself trying to stay relevant, Janet is 45 years in and if she came on the stage with one dancer and a head mic and did the two-step, I guarantee you she will kill it everytime…beYAWNce hiding behind a bunch of gay dancers that she’s USING to get ticket sales, and it still didn’t work so she used Blu Ivy and that didn’t work becaus as the FLEAhive continue to attack Taylor Swift because that’s what Donald-BeYAWNcyTrump requires them to do Taylor’s still winning SOLD OUT all of her shows….COPYonce did not….tht’s why she ran to get those Twins to dance with her because she had to do something to cover up those horrible dancers that she hired – and when the twins didn’t work she felt it was a good time to use blu ivy since she used her in Dubai and her FLOCK OF FLEA’s wher boasting about it….Again, at the end ofthe day, Janet will always be the Icon and Legend she’s always been and will always be….and you qweens (spelling) will deal
Who are you you are talking about cheap do you have 50 Thousand dollar in your bank right now…Bro you are just a loser shut up nobody knows you go work instead of complaining . You achive nothing in live and you are talking about cheapppp boy bye really just a loser men
Janet Jackson is the lights, stage, & production.. Period!
Janet didn’t need a big production to massive entertained
I agree 1000%
Hunnie, us Janet fans don’t need a bunch of smoke and mirrors. Her stage production might not be giving millions of dollars but she still gives a SHOW at almost 60 years old. Btw Janet has been there, done that with the big budget productions. SHe’s not new to this she’s true to this. 😉
You got that right!!!
Coming from a Madonna stan – the same wh0reee who built her career on theft, smoke n mirrors and no talent LOL gtfoh!
Clearly, Janet doesn’t need all the pomp and circumstance to entertain her audience. She’s gotten rave reviews from fans and industry publications. She gon be alright! Take your “ expensive productions” and your crazy expensive ticket prices and have a good day! Hope you can pay your rent! 🙂
And that’s on what!!! PERIOD💯 And I thank you!
cheap is oldonna trash
Sorry you feel that way because you are truly missing out on a great show. It’s not the circus you don’t have to pay to see clowns and glitz and lights and cameras it’s Janet showing her true talent without the back ups.
#DIABETES UNBOTHERED is NOT impressed by this WASHED UP FLOP/FAILURE
RENAISSANCE = HIGHEST GROSSING TOUR BY BLACK ARTIST IN TOUR IN HISTORY
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium… seating capacity of 62,850. Renaissance First tour in history to sell out five shows at the Tottenham stadium.
No one cares about Kneeyonce and her over produced tour. She’s giving Britney Spears.
Janet paved the way for Bey and that’s just facts. Everything Bey doing has already been done by Janet never forget that fat ass bitchl.
PAVED!!! Some Beyonce fans are insufferable. We are celebrating an icon MISS JACKSON!!! Beyonce is doing her thing no need to compare???
Janet had no tour promotion and each date been sold out and morw celebrities came to her show your girl Beyoncè would have been there taking notes from her master.
Your big trolling ass is the reason Beyonces name is all up and down this post. Everything you say is very unnecessary. Focus on losing some damn weight instead of trolling and being divisive. Applaud the legendary Janet Jackson for still selling out arenas 40 years into her music career. 🤗
With no album and zero promo Janet proves to everybody with sold out shows that is the blueprint. All the big celeb.running to see her from Tom Cruise,Angela B e.t.c She is 57 and here moves is like 20 y.o. Haters gonna hate. Janet is a legend….period.
Ha! I LOVE how so many are bothered by this! This all done with no album or single to push and no major label backing it. Also, years of being blacklisted by the industry. She is still proving her relevance. Keep on hating! You’re the one that looks bad here. Janet is living her best life! Janet Jackson is an ICON! Your hate will never ever change that.
57 years old. And doesn’t need a spectacle. JustHer talent n presence. Rennaisance looks like a Thailand trans pageant meets Britney and drag race. I kno y’all low key disappointed
These comments lol. Gay twink stans will find anything to hate on. All I see is success from an icon. 40 plus years into her career, still slaying stages, still beautiful and still selling out arenas. The receipts are right there lol. Why y’all mad?
It’s Janet .
madge fan. At least our girl knows how to do r n b and not rely on others to get a different audience to the vanilla stans. Enjoy your 2 hours of ballroom vogueing shes gonna give tho.
How’s the tour a flop when it’s sold out? Y’all just be saying anything. Janet is UNBREAKABLE, she is a legend and she is the moment!! Your faves bow dwn
You are tired. Sit yo dinosaur ass down. Granny J
Bey’s only 41 and her stage show looks like she needs to drink more coffee
Also, let’s see what arenas Beyonce’s filling at 57.
Thank you Will now drop the mic!!!!!
Yet flopmila never even had a tours remeber she cancelled both because no one was buying her tickets. 😂😂😂
The production is great for the show. If you haven’t been and are going by youtube videos it’s not the same as being at the show. Also what does being negative add to your life drink water and pray its better for you than hating.
A granny award winning legend! Racist cabelo better get on her tubby aśś illegál burrito knees and bow to a black queen with achievements and success she’ll never see!
Flop and sold out are two different things haters!
So happy for the RECEIPTS regarding this Janet tour. After seeing it live, I will attest there are NO YouTube videos that do the production justice.
Also, to be in this business for 50 YEARS and doing this is incredible which is why it seems to be bringing those who would “hate” on this out of the woodwork.
Beyonce is doing very well and there’s no need to compare the shows. I can appreciate that she has seemed to slow down. She’s worked hard enough to prove herself. I like to see the rnb/pop queens win. In fact, we need more out there doing well on the touring circuit.
Madonna, on the other hand…well…”and that’s all Imma say about that” LMAO
Janet is MORE authentic on this tour then ANY of her others. Her genuine love for her adoring fans fans REALLY shines throughout it with her engagement with the audience. She has proven that U don’t need all the theatrics to show your fans the true U and STILL be able to see out ECH DATE in the process.
I agree she seems very comfortable with this show. She interacted with the audience a lot for All for You too.
Trying to diminish Janet’s show due to the amount of production that goes into a show is corny. Janet is the blueprint she knows it and doesn’t need to play into competing or putting in the extra. She’s done all of it well before Beyoncé with some of the most expensive music videos ever made (one of them being the most expensive)… let’s not try to compare Janet to others because they can’t compare as she is the Blueprint. Sad and corny people out there.
Facts!!!!!!!! Janet is definitely the BLUE PRINT
Although the production value wasn’t spectacular, Janet herself was, and so were the dancers and band. A bigger budget with more creative elements really would add to the experience though no matter what anyone says. Janet is amazing and next time I hope the stage and conceptual details will reflect that more.
Madonna Fans…..Please Stop with this Comparison. Have you seen Madonna’s Current Look or do you even recognize her with the New Face and ASS. You got to feel sorry for her as she is trying too Hard to Look and Stay young and it’s Embarrassing for a 70yr Old Woman….I Digress and So should she…
Lmaoooooooo
Madonna is going to blow these low as hell gross numbers out of the water.
That’s if Madonna don’t blow her face off first Are you looking at the same Madonna I see
She stripped the production down to prove she is thee reason why her shows are good, NOT the gimmicks or theatrics.
Janet is clearly making a statement and challenging the status quo when it comes to a good show.
Just know Janet is ALWAYS 10 steps ahead of her peers, who is doing what she has already done decades ago.
Exactlyyyyyy nobody is doing what Janet was doing decades ago. Janet’s productions were massive I was fortunate to see the velvet rope, all for you, rock witchu, number ones, unbreakable, state of the world and now together again tour and Janet can stand alone without the glitz and glam and still she is a beast. That’s why Janet is the Queen period……
Cheap production? Janet has done her share of huge expensive tours. She said herself that this tour is a celebration of her music, thus no big spectacles, explosions and lights. And no diss to Beyonce, but everything she does, Janet, Madonna, & Tina Turner have already done….she’s a bore imo and needs the big production to minimize the fact that she brings nothing new or exciting to the table. Say what you will, but Janet has become the official blue print for every Pop/R&B diva…even Madonna, who was a little before her, had to take notes.
Thank you Vince you said it all for me period…
So amazing. I loved loved loved it. TEAM JANET All the way!!! Would go again.
It might be a cheap show or whatever.. The music is by far the best I have heard from Janet in a long time. It’s almost as if your in a club and you can’t help but to dance.
Janet doesn’t need a big production like the “renaissance tour” that people in the comments are comparing her tour to. Janet was doing that huge production way before there was a Beyonce infact Beyonce looks up to Janet. Janet’s show was as expected on point and a must see show. People get me how they always try to compare her with Beyonce two different artist different avenues in their craft. Let’s see when she is in her late 50s if you gonna get “big productions” smh.
I’m so proud of Janet(whom I worked with) she has come full circle with her authenticity with this tour MORE than ANY other artist. And I love it ! The numbers SPEAK for themself. The haters will ALWAYS hate!

Jon Bon Jovi Recalls Telling Michael Jackson the 'Fun Story' of How He Pulled Off a Disguise on Tour (Exclusive)
The Bon Jovi rocker first met the late "Thriller" singer years ago, when both were in Tokyo
Neil P. Mockford/Getty, Steve Granitz/WireImage
- Jon Bon Jovi filled PEOPLE in on a certain featured item in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's latest exhibit
- "We bought these great wigs and hats and mustaches," the rocker says
- The moment was so fun, in fact, that Jon later told the story to Michael Jackson
Jon Bon Jovi is looking back at a memory he shared with Michael Jackson .
While speaking exclusively with PEOPLE as he and Bon Jovi celebrate the opening of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 's latest exhibit centered around their band, the rock star, 62, reflects on one item featured and recalls memories attached to it.
In the Cleveland-based museum's exhibit, there is a hat with fake curly black hair that Jon wore as a disguise so he could walk around undetected during the band's Slippery When Wet Tour in 1986.
"In order to be there amongst all the fans in front of our own hotel, we bought these great wigs and hats and mustaches," Jon recalls. "We actually did pull it off in Australia. It was a lot of fun."
The moment was so fun, in fact, that Jon later told the story to Jackson, who died in 2009 . "I shared that story with Michael Jackson, who pretended as though he'd never done anything like that," he says with a laugh. "But he had done it a lot of times, so it was a fun story to share."

Jon first met Jackson years ago, when both were in Tokyo during the same period of time. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in April, the rocker recalled partying with the "Thriller" singer's pet chimp Bubbles .
According to Jon, he was under the impression that he and Jackson had become "friends" so he invited the late artist to spend time with him and Bon Jovi on their hotel floor.
"Unfortunately he didn't come, but he sends Bubbles the chimp as his representative ," Jon recalled. "That was big. Bubbles comes down and wreaks havoc. Bubbles parties like a rock star."
Bubbles, Jon added, was "jumping on the bed" and "putting on a show." He also said the animal's presence felt like "a lifetime" and hotel management later threatened to throw the band out.

At the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's new full-floor exhibit, titled Bon Jovi: Forever , fans will get to explore Bon Jovi's iconic music history. Alongside Jon, the band also consists of members David Bryan, Tico Torres, John Shanks, Phil X, Everett Bradley and Hugh McDonald. (Original bassist Alec John Such left the band in 1994 and longtime guitarist Richie Sambora left in 2013.)
The exhibit's opening was timed with the recently released docuseries Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story and will "showcase the band's story from inception to the present, celebrating their 40-plus-year career, including countless milestones and accolades," per a press release.
Never-before-seen artifacts from each of the band members will also be present, alongside images, audio and video that will "tell the story of the work, the art, the business and the legacy of one of the biggest bands of all time," the release adds.
"There's a lot of history. There's a lot there for fans to come and see," Jon tells PEOPLE of the exhibit. "We were archiving everything for the 40th anniversary, as well as the documentary, and then the museum came to us and said they want us to do a big display celebrating, so we gave them a lot of the prime elements of the archive." Tickets to visit the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame can be purchased here .

Beyoncé gave concert tickets to Ketanji Brown Jackson, according to docs also showing large payments for justices’ book deals
B eyoncé gave Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson four tickets to her concert last year, the justice disclosed in financial disclosure forms published Friday that also revealed that Jackson and other justices received six-figure payments in 2023 for book deals.
Jackson, who reported an eye-popping $893,750 payment from a book publisher, was joined by Justices Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch and Sonia Sotomayor in reporting income from books that they have published or have coming out in the future.
The book deals have at times been controversial. Supreme Court justices and other government officials are capped on receiving more than about $30,000 in outside income, but book income doesn’t count toward that cap.
Jackson, a member of the court’s liberal wing, was paid by Penguin Random House, the book publisher that is publishing her upcoming memoir.
Kavanaugh, a conservative who recently disclosed he is writing a memoir, listed a $340,000 payment from the Javelin Group agency.
Gorsuch, who is also publishing a book this year, reported royalty income of $250,000.
Book deals are typically paid in installments, so the full financial windfall justices receive from their books will not be known for several more years.
Justice Amy Coney Barrett in 2022 reported receiving a $425,000 advance on her book, a figure that drew some criticism. In this most recent report, however, she didn’t list any additional income from that deal.
Sotomayor, who has written a series of children’s books, reported receiving two installments of royalty payments from Random House — a $47,704.63 payment in May 2023, and a $39,079.59 payment in December.
Gifts and travel revealed on disclosures
Jackson reported the Beyoncé concert tickets — worth a total $3,711.84 — as part of a disclosure mandate for gifts worth $480 or more.
The artist Lonnie Holley, meanwhile, gifted Jackson artwork for her chambers valued at $10,000. The justice also received artwork worth $2,5000 from Dr. Kathi Earles-Ross and others.
Justice Clarence Thomas said he received two photo albums worth a total $2,000 from Terrence and Barbara Giroux. Terrence Giroux is the executive director emeritus of the Horatio Alger Association, an elite philanthropic organization of which Thomas is a member.
The annual disclosures, which are required by law, provide only a rough sketch of the finances of the justices and lower court judges. But the reports have drawn considerable attention in recent years amid a series of ethics scandals involving private jet travel and luxury vacations accepted by some of the justices.
Several justices reported foreign and domestic travel paid for by law schools and outside legal groups. Gorsuch, for instance, reported traveling to Lisbon, Portugal, last summer with George Mason University for an “education program” and to London months earlier for a Federalist Society program. Kavanaugh and Barrett also both traveled to London last year, both with the University of Notre Dame.
Others listed domestic trips, including Justice Elena Kagan, who was reimbursed for travel to Notre Dame in Indiana for a speech in September. Sotomayor was reimbursed for a trip to Los Angeles last summer for an award ceremony and to Harvard University in November to sit on a moot court.
The new disclosures also revealed income justices received from various side gigs. Multiple justices received income for teaching and for rental properties, while Sotomayor was paid for a voice-acting role on an animated show.
Gorsuch received $29,798.20 last year for teaching at George Mason University, while Kavanaugh’s gig teaching at Notre Dame Law school brought him $25,000.
Barrett was paid $14,947.50 last year by Notre Dame, where she is an adjunct professor. That is significantly less than the nearly $30,000 in 2022 teaching income from Notre Dame that she reported on her annual disclosures last year.
For a voice performance on the animated television show “Alma’s Way,” Sotomayor received $1,879.16.
Sotomayor also reported rental income from a property in New York and a property in Florida, while Chief Justice John Roberts disclosed rental income from a cottage in Maine and from a cottage he partially owns in Ireland. Thomas listed rental income received through an LLC called “Ginger Holdings” for a property in Nebraska, his wife’s home state.
Kagan, meanwhile, said she made somewhere between $15,001 to $50,000 last year renting out a parking space in Washington, DC.
