Against all odds, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have extended their 2024 tour.

The controversial pair booked additional ‘Vultures 1 Listening Experience’ arena concerts all over the U.S. from April 7-14 in support of their recently released album.

Stops on the brief run include Nashville (April 7), Pittsburgh (April 9), Washington, D.C. (April 11), Charlotte (April 12) and Tampa (April 14.)

According to a press release, fans can expect to be treated to the duo’s controversial, chart-topping “Vultures” album “in a high-fidelity audio and visual showcase, crafted by Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign.”

Fans should be aware that West has delivered offensive lyrics at recent shows.

While wearing a Jason Voorhees mask onstage, West rapped “And I’m still crazy, bipolar, anti-Semite. And I’m still the king,” which led to the event’s livestream being cut off.

For fans that want to catch the listening party live, tickets are available for all five gigs as soon as today.

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Tuesday, April 2, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before tickets are officially on sale.

About “Vultures, Volume 1”

West and Dolla Sign’s 16-track debut collaboration is classic Kanye; lush arrangement along with juvenile lyrics.

The album’s lead track, which features a gorgeous orchestral beat is undercut by off-putting lines like “Keep a few Jews on the staff now/ I cash out.”

Over the past few years years, the 46-year-old Chicago native has generated quite a bit of ire.

His most notable recent dustup took place in late 2022 when he made a number of anti-Semitic statements which led to many companies he partnered with — including Gap, Adidas, and Balenciega — dropping him from their labels.

West has since apologized for his unfortunate comments on Instagram, although that post is no longer available to view on his account at the time of publication.

Following his statement, he made a number of anti-Semitic remarks at his inaugural ‘Vultures Listening Party’ concert in Chicago, according to the  New York Post .

Kanye West has reunited with his former manager John Monopoly to put together a world tour in support of 'Vultures 1'

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, has shared plans for an upcoming world tour including possible dates at venues in the United States, UK, Kenya and more. The US rapper appears to be plotting the global trek himself after claiming he's had trouble booking concert arenas due to his string of recent controversies.

In hopes of putting together an international tour, Ye has reunited with his former manager John Monopoly, who split from Ye more than a decade ago, Billboard reports . The duo have been attempting to get AEG and Live Nation back in the fold, after both major events companies reportedly ceased communication with the controversial rapper.

On Wednesday (February 7), West shared a poster - via Insta Stories - for various proposed concerts around the world. The poster was part of a screenshot of a conversation West was likely having with someone at Cara Lewis Group, a New York-based entertainment company who are seemingly handling all concert and tour bookings.

The tentative dates would be from June 2024 until February 2025. So what proposed tour dates and venues were included on the poster? Here's everything you need to know.

Where else might Kanye West perform?

Kanye West uploaded an additional screenshot of a conversation he was having with American rapper Freddie Gibbs. The Grammy-nominated artist appears to ask West if he would like to perform at the Petco Stadium in San Diego, to which West replied: "Yes I do. Who do I speak to?".

In another Instagram story, West appears to receive a message from a contact named 'Julz', with a host of proposed venues across the world. The message suggests West might like to perform at the Corcovado Mountain in Rio De Janeiro, the Great Wall of China in Beijing and the Giza Pyramid complex in Egypt.

Other proposed venues shared via Instagram Stories are Hong Kong's Galaxy Arena and the Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Hawaii. No dates have been confirmed yet.

When was the last time Kanye West went on tour?

If Ye is successful in plotting his 2024 world tour, it will be his first global trek since 2016’s Saint Pablo Tour. The tour frequently made headlines for his comments in support of Donald Trump and was cancelled a month before it was scheduled to finish on December 31 due to West's hospitalisation.

Kanye West is a complete visionary who has shifted the course of pop culture time and time again, first as a producer and then as a rapper and fashion mogul.

Kanye was born in a middle class household in Chicago and was a creative from an early age, often writing poetry and becoming part of the city’s hip hop scene at a young age. He briefly attended college but dropped out when it became detrimental to the creation of his music.

He began producing beats for local artists, developing a signature style that utilized sped-up soul samples and before long he received his first big break when he became an in-house producer for Roc A Fella Records and was responsible for the now classic Jay Z Album ‘The Blueprint’.

Despite his production success, Kanye had maintained a desire to make it as a rapper but due to his unconventional style and background had struggled to secure a deal. Dame Dash reluctantly signed Kanye to Roc A Fella however Kanye was involved in a car accident which he was lucky to survive. With his jaw still wired shut, Kanye channeled his emotions into ‘through The Wire’, a single which would appear on his debut album ‘The College Dropout’ in 2004. The album is considered one of the most important Hip Hop debuts and had a lasting effect on the genre.

With each subsequent album Kanye changed up his sound and broken new ground. On 2008’s ‘808 and Hearrtbreaks’ for example, he embraced auto-tune singing and, although many were unsure at the time, it influenced the future sound of Hip Hop and Rnb (laying the framework for the likes of Drake to become huge stars). In 2013 he stunned fans again with the jarring ‘Yeezus’, which, with its industrial minimalism, shocked the genre to its core and won praise from critics in the process.

Live reviews

I gotta give it to Yeezus. He's still got the juice and for him to pack the 'Bowl' while performing a seven year old album is a testament to that fact. Show started an hour late and I had the feeling there would be some tech glitches, but you definitely couldn't hate on the effort. There was a small orchestra section stage right and on stage left what appeared to be a few DJ's and dudes on drum machines. The center of the stage featured 3 grand white staircases that were reconfigured between songs. There were fireworks at times which didn't quite fit the tone of the album, but who doesn't like fireworks. It was a party atmosphere and I felt a real connection with other fans simply based on the fact that WE LOVE THIS FUCKING ALBUM. We sang, we yelled, we danced, we laughed, and we reminisced about a Kanye that took us back to bring us forward.

Most memorable moments:

Staircases rotate to reveal 60 or so black men in rags and covered in dust. Very striking visual that reminded me of a slave ship. He used what I'll call "human props" throughout the show, but I felt like this moment resonated most.

Jeezy came out for Amazing, but the tech was ALL CHEWED UP. Sound was cutting in and out, poor lighting, pianist was even confused at one point.

At one point Kanye states that this performance is actually more of a dress rehearsal. I figured as much and even debated going to the Saturday show, but there was something about the rawness of an opening night that I wanted to be part of. I'm sure Saturday's show will be way more on point.

Report as inappropriate

I have never been a person who could pinpoint a moment in which divine providence had played some role in my life. That is, until I saw Kanye.

Watching Kanye West perform is a wholly religious experience. Someone you don't know and can barely see is instructing you to complete strange actions which seem nonsensical, like throwing your hands in there or singing lyrics or pointing your middle finger to the sky. Yet, you follow along. You are surrounded by thousands of people who share similar beliefs and interests as you. Everything is ridiculous expensive and you must pay your way in.

Kanye comes out pretty much an hour late, just because he can. When he finally emerges, it is on a platform suspended in the air. The platform rocks to and fro during the concert, bouncing right above the general admissions mosh pit. It is those in the mosh pit who are the most blessed. They seem positively energized by Kanye, dancing and thrashing for two hours straight.

When Kanye finishes his act, he performs "Ultralight Beam". Towards the end of the show, his platform lowers and he steps down onto the ground, showing us that the man we had seemingly worshiped with our screams and our expressions of adulation walks on the same ground we do. And maybe it was the weed smoke, or maybe the sheer excitement, but as I was swaying to the music, I felt a connection to a higher power, something greater than myself. It was a moment of absolute perfection where I didn't feel alone and hopeless in the world.

Whether his messianic stature is bona fide or self-professed, one thing’s still for certain: an evening with Kanye West will blow your freaking mind.

Love him or loathe him, there are number of things we say about ‘Ye for certain. The guy boasts a repertoire of hits hotter than Seth Rogen’s motorcycle seat. This is a guy with the talent to dethrone his mentor, with the vision to produce the totally unexpected, and with the ego to say and do exactly what he wants. All in all, those ingredients synthesise to produce the greatest live music experience on offer in the modern age. Hands down.

However it’s what we can’t say for certain about West that polarises crowds the world over. The rants, the fights, the Jesus lookalikes; to some extent, it’s no great surprise that the rapper has found himself at loggerheads with audiences on multiple occasions.

But if that’s the price we have to pay to accept this visionary into our lives, then show me where to sign. When Kanye delivers, he arrives first class. “One of the greatest hip-hop sets of all time”, so said the Hollywood Reporter of Coachella 2011. “I am so credible and so influential and so relevant that I will change things”, so said Kanye of himself. Hear, hear, Mr. West.

The sounds of hydraulic machinery filled Oracle Arena, as the stench of dirt weed mingled with the faux fog that had been pumping into the air over the past two hours. The opening samples of “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” were slowed down and turned elastic, thus leaving alien chemtrails of sound in the wake of the shadowy figure tethered to the hovering spacecraft. With heads upturned in anticipation of first contact, the crowd was lost in darkness. Chants of “Kan-ye! Kan-ye!” filled every empty space, until the object of their affection shone his light down on the chosen few.

The party-sized hoverboard had traversed the entire length of the arena (from a height of about 10 feet above the tallest head), before blasting spotlights on those below; instantly creating the largest circle pit a hip-hop tour has ever seen.

“Just wanna feel liberated, I, I, I…”

Kanye West had arrived in Oakland, and while many outside the venue failed to understand the appeal, those who had been waiting patiently (well past start time) were losing their collective mind.

Kanye was a lot more humble than I expected. I've always loved a lot of the lyrics of his songs as they speak about real stuff that's going on, like the media covering up on what's actually important and people higher up trying to make everyone conform. His concert was better than I thought it would be. He was entertaining, interactive with the crowd, tried to get the people on the floor to start a mosh pit (haha) and he talked about some shit in the media against him that wasn't true. The massive screen thing he had happening put an interesting twist to seeing Kanye as it was done in like negative colouring and you could only half see him a lot of the time, which was a bit frustrating but also added to the drama of him. I LOVED the freaky masks he wore half the time, very Kanye- all that bling. He played a good mix of his music from a bunch of new stuff right back to the older stuff. Almost the whole seated crowd were standing the whole time (something I've NEVER seen at a concert) I have a newfound respect for Kanye West and am really happy I finally got to see him. I'd definitely go back

i, as well as everyone else who came to see your show in sacramento, were so hyped. it was literally going to be the highlight of my thanksgiving break. i bought your tickets for $70 as well as a shirt for $20, only for you to show up AN HOUR AND A HALF LATE, perform three songs that you didn't even finish, and to listen to your inaccurate rant about politics. honestly man, i respected you so much as an artist; you were and still are a musical genius and i will forever support your music career, but i lost all respect for you as a person yesterday. you disrespected your fans last night, who have been nothing but loyal to you throughout your career. that was a real shitty move, and to be honest with you man, i feel sorry for you. the money so up in your mind that you don't know who you are anymore.

The Saint Pablo Tour was by far the dopest energy in one place that I have felt at a venue the size of Verizon Center. The stage was suspended in air and the attendees with floor seats were actually a mosh pit! They stood the entire time fueling the energy as he floated above their heads and out stretched arms. Everyone in the building stood the entire concert. Everyone. Though the lights were dim and the big screen had an hallucination type effect, the lyrics and his movement came thru with Kanye precision. I had the time of my life at this concert. The cherry on the top was that I was invited as a surprise from my love. The hands down best surprise I've ever received!! I love the old Kanye. I love the new Kanye. I love Kanye. Period.

Take I-55 North to the Damen exit and make a left, going northbound for approximately 7 minutes. The building will be on your right.

Take Madison Street west from the Loop.

Take I-290 East to exit 28A (Damen Avenue). Take Damen Avenue north to Madison Street. Make a right onto Madison Street and the building will be on your right.

Public Transportation

Take the Orange, Green, Purple, or Brown lines to Madison. Take #20 Madison buses west.

To the United Center : The #19 United Center Express Bus runs on game days. Service begins 90 minutes prior to game time, runs every 10 minutes until 30 minutes until start of game. Board at stops starting southbound on Michigan and Randolph. Connections are made with Metra trains at Millennium Station, Ogilvie Center and Union Station. The #20 Madison Bus travels west on Madison Street, starting downtown at Wabash Street and runs every few minutes, making all stops to the United Center.

From the United Center : The #19 United Center Express and the #20 Madison buses run every few minutes, departing from the eastbound side of Madison Street. Buses make all stops.

Suites Parking

Two reserved parking passes will be valid in lots C and K. The other two reserved parking passes will be for parking in lots A, B, D, or L. Holders of these passes will be directed to A, B, D, or L lots by traffic police and parking attendants based on traffic conditions. Parking passes are good for one space each. All parking passes are mobile entry only.

For all special events, each Executive Suite Holder will receive two complimentary parking passes per event ordered. These two passes will be for reserved parking located in lots C and K. In addition, Executive Suite Holders will also receive the option to purchase four additional parking passes in lots C and K for special events.

Suite Holder parking passes are also valid for buses or limousines under specific guidelines.

Lexus Club Parking

Lexus Club Seat members have reserved parking in fenced, well-lit and clearly marked parking lots adjacent to the United Center for all Blackhawks or Bulls preseason, regular season and playoff games. All Lexus Club members who purchase tickets to other events may also purchase one preferred parking pass (in lot C or K) for such events. What are the hours of operation? On event days, the Uber Zone is open two hours prior to games, concerts and events and will remain open up to one hour after each event. What is the pickup process for fans?

• Using the Uber app, fans inside the United Center will call an Uber ride.
• Guests will then head to the new Uber Zone located at the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street in front of the United Center.
• When arriving, fans will show the Uber attendant the lane number their driver is in.
• Fans will be shown the location where their Uber vehicle is located to start their next journey.

What is the dropoff process for fans? When Uber drivers arrive with guests at the United Center, they will be instructed to pull into the Uber Zone from the Madison Street side to drop off fans. Once exiting the vehicle, guests will walk out of the main entrance located on the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street. Guests can cross the street to the United Center and are encouraged to enter through the East Atrium.

Kanye West has shared the potential cities he’ll visit as part of his ‘Vultures’ world tour with Ty Dolla $ign .

The first volume of the two rappers’ long-delayed collaborative project is due to arrive this Friday (February 9) ahead of two further instalments on March 8 and April 5, respectively.

Taking to Instagram Stories last night (February 6), West shared a screenshot of a text message exchange that revealed a possible tour schedule. The list included arena dates in Toronto, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and other locations throughout this summer.

Additionally, the work-in-progress itinerary featured huge gigs in Spain and Egypt ahead of four consecutive nights at The O2 in London this September. Further performances were listed for Dubai, Nairobi and Lagos.

The document concluded with dates in Sydney, Melbourne and Tokyo – all of which were slated for early 2025.

Later, Ye posted a screenshot that showed he would be looking into some “iconic international venue options” such as the Corcovado mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (home of the Christ the Redeemer statue), the Great Wall Of China, and the Pyramids Of Giza.

Another upload contained email correspondence from someone expressing interest in “discussing shows” that could be staged in “sports arenas and stadiums”. Check out the screenshot below.

A recent ‘Vultures’ trailer , directed by Jon Rafman, included eerie clips stitched together of fire and destruction, cult-like figures and ominous animals. The dramatic clip was soundtracked by a reworked version of West’s previously released title track .

Ye and Ty Dolla $ign had been teasing their collaborative record for some months, after news first circulated in August 2023 that West would be releasing new music “imminently” .

After numerous delays to the project, reports suggested that the LP would be dropping sometime at the end of January 2024 , before it was postponed further.

Last December saw the two rappers preview various tracks from ‘Vultures’ at a listening party in Miami, Florida . West and Ty Dolla $ign’s ‘Vultures’ rave in Las Vegas, Nevada was subsequently shut down by the authorities .

Kanye West and his team are working to produce a concert in Italy to promote the rapper’s upcoming collaborative album with Ty Dolla $ign , Billboard has learned.

West, who now goes by Ye, is scheduled to perform the new album alongside Ty Dolla $ign at an undisclosed location in Italy on Oct. 27, with tickets going on sale as early as Sunday (Oct. 15).

A representative for West has declined Billboard ‘s request for comment. Billboard has also reached out to reps for Ty Dolla $ign.

West’s forthcoming performance would follow the rapper and fashion mogul’s surprise appearance at Travis Scott’s Circus Maximus concert in Rome on Aug. 7. He has also been photographed in various Italian cities in recent months alongside his wife Bianca Censori.

Rumors about a possible West concert in Italy began in early October when RFC Arena started the construction of a large stage for a show that was scheduled for Oct. 13, according to local news outlet Reggionline. Plans fell through when the building couldn’t obtain the necessary permits to build the stage by the mid-October deadline. Some fans have speculated that the concert could be a listening party for West and Ty Dolla $ign’s new album. In recent weeks, West has been spotted near recording studios in Milan.

West and Ty Dolla $ign are currently shopping for a partner to distribute their forthcoming collaborative album, sources tell Billboard . The new set was originally scheduled for release on Friday (Oct. 13), but it was pushed back and is expected to arrive in the coming weeks, according to sources.

The last time West and Ty Dolla $ign released a collaboration was “Junya Pt 2” on Ye’s 2021 album, Donda . Before that, they worked together on Ty Dolla $ign’s “Ego Death” (2020) and on West’s “Everything We Need” (2019), “Real Friends” (2016) and “Only One” (2014).

Kanye, aka Ye, and Ty Dolla $ign have confirmed May 3 as the new release date for “Vultures 2,” the sequel to their Billboard 200-topping album. The album, originally slated for a March 8 release , will include the pre-existing “Let Me Chill Out,” a single featuring Rich the Kid and NBA Youngboy and the late Migos member Takeoff .

Kanye revealed the “Vultures 2” release date news during a recent appearance on Justin LaBoy’s “The Download” podcast. “Vultures” was announced as a three-part album series with the third volume said to arrive on April 5 though the third volume of the album was not discussed during Kanye and LaBoy’s conversation.

Kanye and Ty Dolla released “Vultures 1” on Feb. 10 via YZY, which debuted atop the Billboard 200, launching its lead single, “Carnival” to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song competed with fresh singles from Beyoncé, and remains at No. 20 on the chart.

There have been more than a few broken promises when it comes to “Vultures” (including the pair’s disappointing Rolling Loud set ). Kanye and Ty Dolla supported the album with various “listening sessions” that were supposed to hit arenas (in Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Charlotte and Washington, D.C), but those shows were scrapped within a day or two of first being announced.

Kanye has also spoken about possibly releasing the second part of the record solely as a paid download, or through a new and exclusive streaming site, rather than a conventional rollout to DSPs, but only time will tell what “Vultures 2” will actually bring.

Childish Gambino is rolling out a new era of music. On Monday’s episode of his Gilga Radio show, the musician played two new songs featuring Kid Cudi and Kanye West , and also announced an arena run of shows called The New World Tour.

After playing Olivia Rodrigo’s “Obsessed” on the radio show and a voice declaring, “If Childish Gambino wants to do something, you let him do it,” Gambino debuted the new Kanye track, seemingly titled “Say Less.”

“You n—-s talk shit. You n—-s cheapskates. You n—-s talk show. You n—-s Ziwe. You n—-s deepfake. You n—-s AI/But you’d never have your mother sitting courtside,” Gambino raps before Ye’s verse.

“I rather have no regrets, but yo my agent said ‘Yo, say less,'” West raps. “N—-s waiting on the throne, like ‘Hoe, say, ‘Yes.’ I took my shoes out the store, they the new Payless/That’s the new God flow, but I don’t pray less.”

Gambino also debuted a second song featuring Cudi, titled “Warlords.” The track arrives just days after Cudi seemed to throw shade at Gambino on social media. “Kid Cudi, if you got a problem, I’m not here for the beef. Just talk to me. Actually talk to people,” Gambino said on his debut Gilga Radio episode last week.

As for the tour, Gambino has yet to announce dates for it, though he teased arena shows on Gilga Radio. The musician last hit the road in 2019 for the This Is America Tour. The second episode of Gilga radio also featured appearances from Nathan Fielder, Ayo Edebiri, and Eddie Murphy.

“We’re releasing  Atavista , but after that, there’s the final Childish Gambino album — a soundtrack for the fans,” he revealed during a broadcast last weekend,  via Uproxx . His Instagram Live included a teaser for the original soundtrack to  Bando Stone & the New World , which he said will be the final Gambino album.

He had previously said he was retiring the Childish Gambino moniker,  telling HuffPo  during a promo event for  Atlanta  in 2017, “There’s nothing worse than like a third sequel, like a third movie, and we’re like, ‘again?’” he said. “You know, I like it when something’s good and when it comes back there’s a reason to come back, there’s a reason to do that.”

Ye’s New LP Debuts at a New York Arena. Why Do His Fans Stay Loyal?

The rapper formerly known as Kanye West has been mired in controversy after making a string of antisemitic remarks. Thousands showed up to hear “Vultures 1” on Friday night.

Adidas severed ties with him. His talent agency dropped him . But on Friday night, an arena on Long Island was filled with thousands of people who most certainly had not turned their backs on Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West.

Shortly before releasing “Vultures 1,” his first album since making a string of antisemitic remarks that cost him business deals and drew widespread condemnation, Ye previewed his new collaboration with the R&B singer Ty Dolla Sign at a listening party at UBS Arena, further testing the boundaries of his fandom with lyrics that did not tiptoe around the controversy.

“‘Crazy, bipolar, antisemite,’ and I’m still the king,” Ye raps in “King,” the final song on the LP, which drew a modest wave of cheers.

Ty Dolla Sign and Ye appeared a bit before 11 p.m. on a smoke-filled stage — at least, that was the impression, though it was hard to confirm who was there. Wearing a full mask, the rapper, designer and longtime provocateur never showed his face as he exulted in his new music, which included samples from Donna Summer’s “I Feel Love” and the Backstreet Boys (“Yeezy’s back, all right!”).

Originally slated to come out in December, delays and false starts pushed the release of “Vultures 1” to early Saturday morning, soon after the hourlong listening party had ended.

As those who showed up for Ye on Friday know, patience is a central tenet of being a fan of the rapper.

In recent years, as Ye’s behavior has careened from erratic to extreme, loyal listeners have also had to grapple with the controversial things he has done, including wearing a shirt that read “White Lives Matter” at Paris Fashion Week, posting on Twitter (now X) that he would go “death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE” and repeatedly accusing “Jewish media” and “Jewish Zionists” of feeding a paparazzi frenzy and canceling his shows.

“I’ve had to explain myself to a lot of people,” said Markus Phillips, 18, listing his Jewish friends and his “friends who listen to Taylor Swift” among those wondering why he has remained a fan.

“I don’t support everything that he does outside of the music, but I still acknowledge how much of a generational artist he is,” said Phillips, who had driven down from Buffalo with his friends that day for the event.

In a crowd that skewed toward Gen Z, the fans who paid $140 and up for the listening party included those who professed to be thoroughly unbothered by Ye’s actions — “Doesn’t affect me,” one 18-year-old from New Jersey said with a shrug — and those who were struggling to reconcile the artist they have loved since his first studio album, “The College Dropout,” with the one who said “I do love Hitler” on a talk show with the conspiracy theorist Alex Jones.

“Is he saying it because he means it, or is he saying it because he just likes to be controversial?” asked Jack Urig, a 20-year-old waiter from New Jersey who was wearing a lavender hoodie that he received for donating to Ye’s 2020 presidential campaign as a teenager.

“Separating the art from the artist” was a common refrain among those who lined up before doors opened, as were speculations about the role that mental health played in Ye’s behavior. (He has said he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder .) Some preferred to believe that it was all a performance or some sort of attention-grabbing marketing ploy, pointing to his statement of apology to the Jewish community — posted in Hebrew — that was released late last year , as he was preparing to drop new music.

“It was not my intention to offend or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused,” Ye said in the post, writing that he was “committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future.”

The lyrics in the new album hardly communicate the same kind of contrition. In the song “Stars,” he raps that he keeps “a few Jews on the staff now.” An infamous line from “Vultures,” the track he released last year in which he raps that he can’t be antisemitic if he had sex with a Jewish woman, was one of the best known in the arena. The music cut out for the verse so the crowd could shout it themselves.

In an album that encompasses gospel-infused house, R&B and trap, Ye features a long panel of collaborators, including Quavo, Playboi Carti, Chris Brown, Lil Durk and for one verse, Ye’s daughter North West, who appeared at the first listening party in Chicago on Thursday. Ye’s verses often confront the drama over his reputation over the past few years, presenting himself as emerging triumphant despite his detractors. (“I burned eight billion to take off my chains,” he raps in “Burn.” )

Whether or not the mainstream music industry will be willing to recognize Ye’s new music remains a question. Even before the antisemitic remarks that lost him lucrative fashion deals with Adidas, Gap and Balenciaga, the Grammys had dropped Ye as a performer for the 2022 award show, citing his erratic and troubling public behavior, which, at the time, included the release of an animated music video that portrayed the kidnapping and burial of a figure who looked a lot like Pete Davidson, the comedian who had been dating Kim Kardashian, Ye’s former wife.

At the arena on Friday, many fans said they found it hard to disentangle Ye from the musical nostalgia of their childhoods — and from their closets.

Wearing Yeezy sneakers to the show, Mahatub Ahmed, 27, said he had 11 more pairs at home, and asked, “What do they want me to do? Throw them away, burn them?” Friends and family have wondered why he doesn’t change his social media handles that play on “Yeezus,” the name of the rapper’s sixth solo album, but he rebuffs them.

For Shareef Rashid, 47 — who attended with his 13-year-old son Jair, a much newer fan — his relationship with Ye is largely steeped in the past. He said he was first drawn to Ye’s 2007 album “Graduation,” with its creative soul samples and lyrics that resonated with him as a young, middle-class Black man of roughly the same age as Ye.

A rapper himself in his free time, Rashid recently posted a snippet of a song in which he says he misses “the first four Kanyes,” and raps of the star: “Put America on blast with everything you say/Now you just talk because and it don’t feel the same way/I hope you are OK.”

But there will always be a segment of Ye’s fan base for which the calculus is much simpler: Whatever he says, whatever he does, they will stand by him.

Waiting in line to buy merch, Kiara Fuller, 23, who considers herself a dedicated Ye fan, wondered aloud whether the person behind the mask onstage that night would be, in fact, Ye.

“We were on the way here and I was thinking, wouldn’t it be the funniest prank if it wasn’t even him out there, and he just has a random person doing it?” she said in a gaggle of her friends.

After traveling past the outskirts of Queens and waiting hours for a problematic fave , wouldn’t such a stunt be the final indignity?

“Eh,” Fuller said and shrugged, “just got to see it through.”

Kanye plans to launch 'yeezy porn,' consulting with stormy daniels' ex, kanye west plans to launch 'yeezy porn' ... could be coming soon.

Kanye West has his sights set on a new business venture, and it's all about people having sex on camera -- the guy's looking to professionally dive into porn at long last ... TMZ has learned.

A rep for Yeezy tells TMZ ... Ye's been kicking around the idea of launching his own pornography studio and brand for a while -- and now, we're told he seems dead set on doing it ... 'cause he and his partners are in advanced talks to actually get something up and running.

We're told Kanye and co. have been talking about building an entire Yeezy Porn studio -- which would be part of a broader adult entertainment division at the parent Yeezy company.

In order to get it going, the rep tells us Kanye has been talking to Stormy Daniels ' ex-husband Mike Moz -- a vet in the porn biz -- to help shepherd the whole thing as the head of the new Yeezy wing.

Like we said, Mike knows a thing or 2 about porn ... he's worked as a producer for well over a decade -- but even before that, he'd done casting and art direction in the same industry ... so he's been around the block.

His credits include "Aroused," "Abigail," "Young Fantasies 7," 'Vixen' and lots of other XXX flicks.

In terms of when this might come to fruition ... we're told it could launch as early as this summer.

If you've followed Ye's career, this is, honestly, no surprise. Kanye has been pretty open about his sexual fantasies and love of porn over the years -- and he's rapped a lot about XXX-type scenarios with various women he's been with, including his ex-wife Kim Kardashian .

Now that he's with Bianca Censori , he seems all about showing off her naked body as much as possible -- which is very much in line with Ye's brand and aesthetic ... hot baddies.

What's interesting is that Kanye has had a bit of a back-and-forth relationship with porn -- at times, he's proudly embraced the fact he likes to watch porn, and was even addicted to it ... other times, he's denounced his fondness for porn and said it wasn't good for his spirit.

Now, the dude is back on the pro-porn side of things ... and, while it remains to be seen what style of content he wants to produce, you can bank on it being explicit.

Kanye West’s Former Security Guard Sues Him for Discrimination Against Black Employees and Wrongful Termination

A new complaint claims West subjected Black employees to “less favorable treatment than their White counterparts”

Ye , the artist formerly known as Kanye West , is facing allegations from a former security guard that he subjected Black employees to “less favorable treatment than their White counterparts.”

In a new lawsuit filed by Benjamin Deshon Provo — who worked security for West, 46, at both his private school Donda Academy and at a warehouse where the creative stored his Yeezy brand clothing — the security guard accuses West of having “frequently screamed at and berated Black employees” and firing him for refusing to cut his dreadlocks.

It marks the most recent complaint against West, who as of earlier this month, is already facing a complaint from another employee who claimed he suffered “ severe discrimination, harassment ” while working for him at the Donda Academy school and as part of his Yeezy brand.

A rep for West did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment on April 27.

As for the most recent complaint — filed Friday, April 26, in Los Angeles — it notes that Provo began working for the Vultures rapper around August 2021, before spending six months at Donda Academy. The school then moved to a new location, where he was then “assigned additional job duties as a result of a lack of staffing.” He also performed security services for West's Sunday Service events and at his Yeezy warehouse.

The plaintiff claims he was asked to place himself and paparazzi “in harm’s way” by snatching cameras, and that separately, West required that “anyone associated with Donda dispose of books related to Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and other prominent figures in the Black community.”

The complaint also claims that Provo noticed “a stark difference in the way Kanye treated Plaintiff and other Black employees” compared to their ”non-Black counterparts.” It also alleges he was paid less than non-Black employees “for no discernible reason,” and that West was “always abrupt, abrasive, and demeaning of Plaintiff and his Black counterparts.”

When complaining about the pay disparity to direct manager John Hicks, Provo allegedly received the response: “Don’t bring up money to Ye. He doesn’t like to talk about money.”

The security guard also saw a “decrease in his paychecks” at one point shortly after raising complaints, something he claims his non-Black colleagues did not experience, as he was told by Hicks that West “can’t afford security right now.”

Per the complaint, in April 2023, West “unjustifiably and unreasonably began demanding that Plaintiff and others shave their heads,” despite Provo wearing his hair in dreadlocks “as an exercise of his Muslim faith.”

“As a result of Plaintiff’s non-compliance with Kanye’s demands that his head be shaved, Hicks and Kanye began to exert pressure on Plaintiff to do the same,” the document notes, adding that “Kanye began to become increasingly more aggressive, demanding” by announcing “it is time for you to shave your heads. I am not messing around.”

The complaint explains, “However, Plaintiff refused. Thereafter, Hicks approached Plaintiff and stated, 'Kanye said, 'Tell the one with the dreads to shave his head or he is fired.' Plaintiff refused to shave his head, and as a result thereof, his employment was terminated.”

The complaint also notes that Provo is seeking damages for the alleged discrimination, retaliation, hostile work environment, labor code violations and for attorney fees (among his other claims), as well as a “preliminary and permanent injunction, and a public injunction, against all Defendants, prohibiting them from owning and operating any type of educational school for minor children under the age of 18 years in the state of California.”

West is also currently at the center of a suit filed by former employee Trevor Phillips, who alleged earlier this month that West spewed hateful, antisemitic and anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric within earshot of students, and that West once told students he would put a jail at the school where they could be locked in cages.

The previous suit also claimed that the musician would often “scream [at] and berate” his Black employees and that he told his staffers he would fire people who were “fat," adding that he allegedly told students he “wanted them to shave their heads.”

Kanye West has been sued by another former employee who has alleged staffers suffered racist abuse at the hands of the rapper.

Benjamin Deshon Provo, formerly of fashion brand Yeezy and Donda Academy, said he was fired after blowing the whistle about alleged labour code violations.

In a lawsuit filed Friday morning in Los Angeles, Mr Provo claims that he “suffered severe discrimination, harassment and retaliation by Kanye West” during the time he served as a security guard at the infamous Donda Academy.

According to TheWrap , Mr Provo claimed in the filing that West “frequently screamed at and berated black employees, while in contrast, he never so much as raised his tone of voice toward white staff”.

Mr Provo also alleged that he was discriminated against because he is Muslim and was ordered to cut his dreadlocks or be fired.

The lawsuit goes on to state, “During Plaintiff’s employment, Kanye openly expressed his displeasure with black authors. Specifically, in or around mid-2023, Kanye required that anyone associated with Donda dispose of books related to Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and other prominent figures in the black community.”

The rapper is also said to have “expressed negative beliefs associated with prominent black leaders that advocated for or sought to advance the black community”.

“Such offensive opinions were particularly troubling to Plaintiff, who is unapologetically black,” the lawsuit says.

The lawsuit also alleges that West engaged in whistleblowing retaliation, wrongful termination and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Mr Provo is asking for a jury trial and a settlement of more than $US35,000 ($53,600).

He also asks for the injunction against all defendants, prohibiting them from owning and operating any type of educational school for minor children under the age of 18 years in the state of California.

The rapper has spoken openly about his struggles with mental health, and Kardashian has called for understanding as he works through issues.

It came after a former employee claimed the rapper had told schoolchildren he was being persecuted by Jewish people.

In videos shared by attendees on social media, the two were seen looking “adorable” together while he took her hand and led her through the room.

Another attendee posted video of Taylor smiling and laughing while Travis caught a football that Patrick threw from the stage.

Travis also got up on stage and surprised guests by announcing that his “significant other” was adding some tickets to her Eras Tou r concerts as part of the live auction.

“Alright, alright, alright, I think I was just talking to my significant other, and we might have one other alternate item that wasn’t on the docket. Um, has anybody heard of the Eras Tour ?” he teased. “Does that fire anybody up right now?!” he screamed while the attendees shouted.

He revealed that Taylor had offered to auction up “four tickets” to shows in New Orleans, Miami or Indianapolis when her tour returns to the United States in the fall.

People began shouting bids of $20,000 and $30,000. The four tickets eventually went for $80,000, according to the auctioneer.

The duo have been enjoying time together before she resumes her Eras Tour in less than two weeks. Fans think she’s adding a new section to the show!
