If You’re Not Into Glamping Already, This New Zara Home Collection Will Convince You To Be

Who knew camping essentials could look so good?

Road trips and camping were undoubtedly one of the main getaway options of choice in the past year, for obvious reasons. Yet while for a lot of people, these may have started out as a socially distanced alternative to other kinds of trips, they’ve proved their staying power and continue to trend big time within the jet-set community. It’s no surprise that retailers are taking note of this — it’s getting easier and easier to find outdoor living essentials of all kinds designed to make your back-to-nature adventures more enjoyable and aesthetically pleasing. The latest to do so? Zara Home, which just launched a new Outdoor Collection that features all your glamping needs.

Aptly named “Into The Nature,” the drop includes a range of basics meant to make “roughing it” look (and feel) a little less rough. Not only are there eating necessities, such as aluminum mugs with lids, stainless steel utensils, and aluminum flasks, you’ll also find functional “decor” that’s designed to take on-the-go — and look good while you do it.

Most notable is the Folding Wood and Leather Chair — a portable $229 piece that’s so sleek, you’ll probably want one in your living room as well as your tent. There’s also a Camping Picnic Blanket for $89.90, which looks perfectly rustic while keeping function in mind: It features a coating on the bottom to prevent moisture and stains. And to keep things lit all night long, the retailer launched a Portable Metal LED Lantern in a retro oil lamp style for $39.90 (though note that it’s currently marked as “Coming Soon,” so you can’t buy it just yet) and even an outdoor candle with a juniper leaf scent for $17.90.

Though small (and possibly not yet complete — Zara Home’s site and Instagram also hint at an actual stove that doesn’t seem to be available in the US as of now), the new collection is just enough to create an Instagram-friendly picnic or complete your growing repertoire of camping essentials . And true to Zara Home, it’s at mostly affordable prices, so you won’t have to break the bank to stock up. All the more reason to shop a few of the just-dropped products, ahead.

While we’re all waiting for summer to get here so we can take some much-deserved vacation, Zara Home has us covered. It’s one of my favorite affordable home retailers for fashion-forward pieces that are always on top of the latest interior design trends . And their new outdoor collection is all about that hot, relaxed, effortless European aesthetic – so you can recreate that style everyone wants no matter where you are.

Almost all of the pieces have an element of natural wood tones to them, and most of the furniture is foldable, which means these pieces are portable and can be placed away carefully when the seasons change. Similarly, the dining pieces are really characterful, and instantly make me think of European flea markets. This cohesion in the line means you can mix and match easily, so styling your outdoor patio becomes a simple process.

How do you prepare to host a Christmas party?

Start by making room so all of your guests can visit comfortably. Choose the decor you're interested in displaying, and pay attention to the little accents: appetizer plates, glasses, napkins, etc. that add to the overall aesthetic. 

Lighting is super important, too: try not to overwhelm visitors with harsh lighting and add a sweet element through a string of Christmas fairy lights or a decorative piece. 

Make sure anything hazardous is out of reach from children and/or pets and keep a fun playlist on repeat throughout the evening (but not too loud). 

What do you bring to a Christmas day host?

Cabana and Zara Home have collaborated on a covetable homeware collection

The Milanese interiors label has joined forces with the high street brand on a range of tablecloths, glassware and ceramics

Founded in 2014 by Martina Mondadori, Cabana is loved globally as an authority on all things design and travel focused; now, you can add the same Italian influence to your home. Inspired by the distant lands and decorative treasures C abana Magazine is known for, the collection pays homage to tradition and craftsmanship through the use of painted ceramics and embroidered textiles, with each piece designed to evoke both the pleasure of collecting and the fun of entertaining.

Highlights include the woven placemats, shot through with crimson and teal, which match the artichoke-shaped salt and pepper shakers. The frosted glass tumblers and vases are an understated accompaniment to the lavishly patterned linens, while the cutlery set – featuring pieces with striped ceramic handles – is a sure-fire staple for any stylish kitchen.

It's not the first time that Zara Home has teamed up with a respected design house. Last year, it joined forces with Belgian architect and designer Vincent Van Duysen on a range of minimalist furniture, inspired by his Antwerp home. Zara Just Launched A Home Store With Chic Decor Starting At Just $5

As if there wasn’t already so much to love about Zara, the on-trend fashion brand just launched its very own own home decor line with aesthetic bedding and trendy mirrors that look much more expensive than they actually are. That’s right: You can now shop Zara’s home decor line to find totally unique (and affordable) pieces you can’t live without — and the brand’s signature modern style and neutral palette look even more stunning when translated into quilts, rugs, and glassware for your home.

One of the best things about this new line is that you can find pieces in any price range, for any room, which you can’t say for a lot of brands out there. Even Zara’s home decor furniture features high-quality pieces at a comparatively affordable price. But honestly, what else would you expect from one of the world’s most fashion-forward apparel lines? The decor pieces also have the same elegant, distinguished qualities their clothing and accessories have, so you know your place is going to look cool AF.

This new home decor line is also so easy to visualize in your own space. Zara Home’s website organizes its collection by each room in your home, including your living room, bathroom, kitchen, dining room, and even kids’ rooms. Then they lay out all of the options you could hang, place, or set to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in your own home. You can also “shop” certain images that showcase a number of pieces. With tons of gorgeous pieces to choose from, your space will totally pop once you get done combing through Zara’s new home decor line.

First, let’s start in the bedroom. Not only does Zara offer a wide range of bedding options, but their quilts and covers are so comfortable that you won’t want to get out of bed in the morning. The soft touch quilt ($139, Zara) is the perfect in-between-seasons bedding option, as this blanket is medium-weight and manages to keep you warm without overheating. Zara’s home decor line isn’t short on other bedroom decor items, either. You can also snag pillows or even a vintage floral rug ($269, Zara) to add to the soothing, restful vibes.

Next, you’ll want to move onto the kitchen and dining room sections. While there are a lot of simple, yet stunning, textiles that’ll effortlessly elevate your eating areas (plus, who can pass on the chic $4.90 wine glasses?), Zara’s home decor line really shines when it comes to kitchenware. It blends natural elements with more modern ones to create truly elegant pieces you’ll want to show off over and over again. One favorite is the wood and ceramic pestle and mortar ($40, Zara). The ceramic is super functional (and easy to clean), while the wooden accent on the pestle adds a bit of elegance.

You’d be remiss if you didn’t take a look at the incredible hanging mirrors. Unlike its much more expensive counterparts, Zara offers a variety of irregular-shaped mirrors ($100, Zara) that look good in any room at a pretty affordable. Each mirror features a simple black frame to accent the unique shape. They even sell an irregular mirror on a stand so you can set it on a countertop or table.

Finally, we can’t forget about Zara’s kids’ room line, which still features its signature modern style and neutral palette. Most of the pieces feature tiny details that make all the difference, like these adorable cotton towels with horse details ($18, Zara). The horses are tiny, subtle, and oh-so cute. Honestly, you’ll want them for yourself.

Zara will be adding new items to their home line, so if you’re looking for something in particular, keep browsing. It’s only a matter of time before you find your home decor OTP.

I honestly didn’t mean for this week to be all about Christmas but it really is starting to look that way because I keep stumbling on beautiful Christmas home decor inspiration.

Today I came across the Zara Home Christmas Collection and it’s simply too beautiful not to share. If you love English cottage style then you’re going to love these images. Zara Home designed an old English home (look at those wood panelled walls!) and filled it with their Christmas collection.
