Can you please process refund. Mum died and dad went to Pakistan to bury her after cancelling flight.
All was good, the only thing was it didn't run on time.
Crew were pleasant, happy to be there and were a joy to be around. Entire operation was professional, well thought out and ran like a Swiss clock.
United flight from SFO to PDX was cancelled. I will ask for a refund. Had to book on Alaska
Good food and entertainment options. Great Staff that were all welcoming and caregiving.
The recline on the seat in front of me came back so that I was staring at the top of the man’s head in front of me the whole trip. He refused to bring his seat back up twice every time he was instructed to do so and only relented when he had a tray of good in front of him. And then right back in my lap!!! Horrible man!! I complained to the staff multiple times, but no one would address the issue. Otherwise, it would have been a perfect flight.
There was a snafu with confirming seats at check which left us in limbo for the second leg of our trip. I believe the ANZ app is not well integrated with the systems at the terminal resulting in this disconcerting error.
Flight was canceled due to technical issue shortly before the check-in counters opened. Passengers were rebooked on a flight three days later. Request to be accommodated on Air Tahiti Nui could not be processed. Customer service sorted out the refund after calling and being put on hold for almost an hour.
The pilot tried to make up for lost time due to delays that were out of her control. She communicated the issues openly and clearly and made every effort to do what she could to alleviate issues.
2 of the 6 economy toilets were out of order. Drinks were not offered often enough - you have to order on-screen, which is often unavailable. Snacks and Milo ran out very early. Crew was fine but I think there was a sticking issue
Business class Seats on the A350 from Nan to YVR were wonderful. The flight crew was okay but could do with better training. Toilets were clean but ran out of paper towels towards the end of the flight. The food/menu and the wine offered really needs considerable improvement. Dinner options were either Bolani, a beef sandwich (even this could be made much better), or paneer butter masala. Unfortunately, if you are not a fan of Fijian food, there isn’t much choice. Dessert was either turmeric ice cream or fruits but unfortunately, they were out of fruit! So the only option was turmeric ice cream. I’m not certain how many passengers like turmeric but I am not one of them. They need to cater to a more diverse group of people. Perhaps they need a new chef? The movies& tv shows were mostly older so I didn’t find that interesting either. It was however, fun to view the plane’s exterior cameras as we take off and land. The best thing about this flight are the business class seats.
Comfortable as one can get in Economy, food was very good, staff were super friendly & efficient.
Really liked the plane and business class seat. Food was ok but could be better. Service was very good.
Better connections, much better cabin crew, much cleaner cabin that Qantas, American and probably other carriers.
Better connections, much better cabin crews, much cleaner aircraft than Qantas, American and probably others.
Fiji left without me because American Airlines was too stupid to get to LAX on time. Fiji should have offered a standby on another flight but they told me tough luck. I will never fly with this company again.
The A350 aircraft business class experience was very good. Comfortable and well appointed pod, and supplemental bed pad available for sleeping. Food was very good.
Business class seats and amenities were excellent, crew very attentive. Slept well. Food good, lounge experience nice. Would fly them again. A350 aircraft excellent, very quiet.
The flight attendants were extremely friendly and helpful. Everything ran on time. I highly recommend Fiji Airways.
The experience was lovely in every respect. The crews were delightful.
The flight attendants went above and beyond to make a flight as comfortable as possible.
Our flight was delayed twice and after we boarded it was delayed again as they were searching for a passenger's small bag. We arrived in Hobart one hour later.
The seats are too close together and are smaller than they used to be. Makes for a cramped experience.
The international flight from Sydney to Dallas had great food. I have travelled a lot over the years and this has been the most memorable in my experience so far.
flight delayed, wait in crowded gate. staff inattentive. had to remind them to get my coat from their closet. not many new movies, media choices were limited (nothing compared to Emirates.) Lounge was crowded
flight delayed, wait in crowded gate. staff inattentive. had to remind them to get my coat from their closet. not many new movies, media choices were limited (nothing compared to Emirates.)
Initial flight was cancelled so moved to an alternative flight. As a result, stuck in a middle seat. Flight then place in holding pattern prior to landing resulting in a very late trip home.
There was nothing I didn’t like, prices a little lower would help
Flight delay was informed at the last minute. Food quality is not up to Qantas standard I was unable to book an online boarding pass on any of my 6 flights.
Following a marathon flight riddled by delays and changes from Santiago, Chile, my flight to Melbourne from Sydney was on schedule but I was transferred to the next flight. The reason by ticketing and the floor manager was I missed the entry to flight by one minute! That's right, the emphasised that if I was 1 minute earlier I would be on the flight. I asked what was the point them emphasising 1minute overdue and how that helped me or the situation. They didn't care at all. Replying that if it was one minute earlier they would've done something and smirking delivering the information. Australian's do call Australia home, Qantas calls Australian's suckers.
Was 4 1/2 hours delayed. No food options, poor entertainment and cramped seats made worse by people in front reclining while we could not as in back row.
The baggage handlers broke the handle on my bag that they put under the plane that I checked on the jetway. They traded it out for a less quality bag in Tulsa. But, they said they would try to fix it. Bologna! There was no fixing that bag handle. Someone didn’t care how they treated the bag.
Frankfurt airport is the worst. Passengers are forced to use stairs to get to the terminal or catch a shuttle. Very inconvenient for passengers who are ambulatory challenged or have physical handicaps.
The entertainment wasn’t playing in the app or online.
Lady was a bit rude during boarding and I was being nice to her.
Why does it have to be painful to fly long distances?
It is a modern tragedy that any airline expects you to travel for 14 hours in such discomfort and that the only way to add comfort is exorbitant prices. I was in pain by the time we landed. Shameful.
Original plane sidelined. Had to wait an hour for replacement.
Crew was very cooperative and professional. Passenger's first checked in bag should be free.
No real agent onsite helping you for missing luggage there. Not like the other airline next to UA desk, they have staff attending in their desk assisting answer/helping luggage issue, even after midnight.
a constant reminder that you need to work harder so you can avoid this airline
For some reason the cabin was kept very cold. Unlike my flight over which i would say was excellent this was a long, cold flight home.
Note that food has to be purchased in flight. No free food. And no entertainment in flight. So I’ve treated these two items as okay which, in this case, means neutral/not applicable.
My Dad needed assistance to board the plane. The Jetstar staff were excellent with him and made the experience a lot easier😁
No food taken so can't rate also no entertainment so can't rate.
Boarding was easy and unstressful, though the early "final call" was a bit off-putting. The crew were pleasant, and the seats were comfortable. The prices for food and drink were reasonable, apart from tea and coffee, where simple percolated coffee was charged at espresso prices. Deboarding was OK, though some Jetstar passengers appear to have a bad habit of pushing forward from their assigned rows, making it more difficult to get out for passengers that have paid a premium to sit up-front. Jetstar might want to look to address this to stop it from spreading.
I got to the airport earlier than I expected, and they let me change to an earlier flight with no trouble.
The price difference/saving isn't sufficient to compensate the experience difference, don't recommend unless flight is under 3 hours. Huge queues for check in and the priority lane of other ailines blocked checked in Jetstar passengers from proceeding through to screening. Gate change to a "dungeon gate" that didn't have toilets in the vicinity. 45minute delay in boarding, no updates or explaination, let alone apology for any inconvenience. 1 scanner working for a full fight to board, no coordination. Loaded on to crowded buses to get on the plane in the middle of the tarmac, up stairs with no explaination. 4 bus trips. No system for boarding in sections. Over an hour late departing. Nothing complimentary, not even water or in-flight music. Pay wave not available and no cash sales. Staff onboard were friendly and professional.
Flight was delayed by 1 hour, we board then had to sit on the tarmac for another hour before take off. The flight was fine but again another delay with the baggage which took another hour to appear on the carousel.
It was a super crowded time to travel out of Melbourne, but the flight was OK

Flights to Melbourne (MEL)
Residing on a bay in the southeastern corner of Australia, Melbourne is the second largest city Down Under. Established in 1835, it blossomed during the Victorian gold rush in the mid-19th century. Today, this thriving city of over three million residents is the capital of Victoria and one of Australia's must-see destinations.
Melbourne is considered the cultural capital of Australia for good reason and you could come away with that impression even if you confined your travels to the City Centre. Here, the National Gallery of Victoria — Australia's largest — awaits, and it offers visitors a wealth of Asian, Australian, European and Indigenous art. Nearby, the 165-year old Royal Botanic Gardens, with its impeccably manicured lawns and 10,000 floral species, is a lovely place to spend an afternoon. For something a little more fast paced, visit Federation Square, Victoria's second most popular tourist destination. Teeming with galleries, cafés, restaurants and shopping, it's where you'll find the Melbourne Visitor Centre whose friendly clerks can help you get the most out of your stay.
Melbourne's public transportation system, Metlink, is a safe and inexpensive way to get around this big city and it's definitely possible to enjoy your visit without renting a car. But if you're the type that likes to motor, do yourself a favor and take a drive out of town to tour the Great Ocean Road region. It's parade of charming fishing villages and seemingly endless postcard-quality vistas will delight. Don't miss the "12 Apostles," the dozen breathtakingly large rocks that tower over a scenic, quiet beach in Apollo Bay. Without exaggeration, this is one of the most dramatic meetings of land and sea on Earth.

When is the best time of year to fly to Melbourne?
They say the best time of year to fly to Melbourne are the shoulder seasons between March and May, and September to November, as the temperatures are moderate, less tourists, and lower airfare prices. But in our opinion, it’s always a good time to fly to Melbourne, it’s a fabulous year-round destination, and besides, Virgin Australia offers special fares to Melbourne all year-round.
What to pack for your trip to Melbourne?
The best packing advice we have is, well, layers. Melbourne is notoriously known for its “four seasons in a day” so pack to dress like a Melbourne local who has adapted to dressing this way for every single day of the year. Prepare for your flight to Melbourne by packing lots of layers in the same colour scheme that will all work together and aren’t too bulky to carry around on your day trips (that may just lead to a night out!). Bring comfortable walking shoes, or even better buy some there. And a big, comfortable, yet oh-so-stylish, over-the-shoulder bag (for that shopping).

In Hobart, you can see world-renowned art, eat freshly caught seafood and climb a mountain all in one day.
The Tasmanian capital of Hobart is a dynamic city that surpasses expectations at every turn. Australia’s southernmost capital is brimming with history and bursting with creativity (hello MONA). It boasts an incredible food and wine scene with local produce making the short journey from farm to table, and is fringed by scenic wilderness.
Long before Hobart was called Hobart, the local muwinina and palawa peoples called this area of Tasmania ‘nipaluna.’ No capital letters are used in palawa kani (the traditional language), including place names.
To learn more about Hobart’s First Nations history, take the takara nipaluna – ‘Walking Hobart’ Aboriginal tour. Run by palawa/warlpiri woman Nunami Sculthorpe-Green, this special tour will give you a rich understanding of the palawa experience.
- Traditional name: nipaluna (pronounced nip-ah-loona)
- Indigenous Peoples: muwinina and palawa peoples
- Traditional languages: palawa kani
- How to say g’day in palawa kani: ya
The easiest way to reach Hobart is by air. Flights arrive daily from several Australian cities.
- Hobart Airport (HBA) is 18km (11mi) from the city and services international and domestic arrivals
- Hire cars, rideshare services and taxis are available from passenger terminals
- The SkyBus shuttle service to Hobart's city centre departs every 30 minutes
Hobart is a relatively small city, so making your way around is easy. There is a clean and safe public bus network as well as a private ferry to take you to waterfront art museum MONA. You can easily walk to many attractions, and car hire is available for driving further afield on a road trip . Find more information about getting around Hobart .
Hobart has four distinct seasons and each is uniquely beautiful. Luckily for travellers, Hobart’s weather is relatively predictable, making it easy to plan. Overall, expect cooler temperatures year-round when compared with Australia's other capital cities.
- High season: Summer (December to February) and winter (June to August)
- Low season: Spring (September to November)
- Don’t miss: Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race (December)
There are great accessible options for accommodation and attractions throughout Hobart.
- Arrival: Staff and facilities are available at Hobart Airport to provide accessibility assistance , including for travellers with hidden disabilities .
- Getting around: All public buses are wheelchair accessible in central Hobart. Use the ‘Wheelchair accessible routes only’ option on the Trip Planner tool for buses outside of the city.
- Accessible experience highlights: The popular kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus is wheelchair accessible , and the Museum of Old and New Art has a range of accessible facilities , including an app that supports voice-over and screen reader functionality.
- Helpful resources: Travellers who are blind or have low vision can access a range of immersive audio guides to Hobart via the Vacayit app . The City of Hobart’s handy mobility map is a great tool for those with limited mobility.

Examined: The Most Sought-After Winter Travel Destinations For New Zealand's Airline Passengers
- Queenstown is the top domestic destination for Kiwi travelers this winter.
- Trans-Tasman travel remains popular, with plenty of direct destinations available from most major New Zealand ports.
- China is the most popular long-haul destination for New Zealand travelers, with direct flights from Auckland.
For those in the Southern Hemisphere, winter is well and truly settling in, and Kiwis are quickly looking to the skies for travel plans during the colder months. Data released by Booking.com identified the most popular destinations for New Zealand travelers this (Southern) winter. Top of the list was Queenstown, domestically and in Australia, for short-haul travelers, while China was the most popular long-haul destination.
For those who are unaware, Queenstown is a ski lovers' dream, with multiple world-class ski slopes within a short distance of Central Otago. Its international airport attracts direct flights from most major Australian East Coast centers, including Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and the Gold Coast. Domestically, the airport is connected to Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch with direct flights.
Why Queenstown, New Zealand, Is Such A Challenging Airport To Fly Into
Queenstown International Airport (ZQN) is frequently rated as one of the world's top ten most stunning airport approaches. Those who may have experienced it will note the beautiful landscape and towering mountain ranges surrounding the aircraft as it descends toward the runway alongside the remarkable range. Simple Flying looked into the top destination picks and which airlines serve these popular destinations this winter.

Domestic hot-spots
Queenstown (zqn).
Located in Frankton, the airport is a short drive from downtown Queenstown, with plenty of boutique shopping and lakefront restaurants for tourists to enjoy. Direct flights from Queenstown on offer include:
Kaikoura (KKE)
This airport is currently not served by any scheduled carriers, but it remains popular for tourist scenic flights. The area is well known for whale watching and fishing, which lure many tourists. Its closest commercial airport is Blenheim (BHE), which is one hour and 40 minutes north, or Christchurch, which is two and a half hours south and caters to a number of international services .
Hamilton (HLZ)
Not to be confused with Hamilton, Ontario (YHM). New Zealand's Hamilton lies just an hour south on the motorway from Auckland Airport (AKL), lies the city of Hamilton. Competing fiercely with Christchurch to the nation's 'Garden City,' Hamilton lies on the Waikato River, the longest in New Zealand. Its airport once served several international destinations with Freedom Air and Virgin Australia; however, these have long since disappeared.
Domestically, the airport now sees multiple daily flights from Wellington and Christchurch on Air New Zealand, with Originair serving Nelson and Palmerston North. At the same time, Sunair flies to Gisborne, Napier, and Whangarei. In bad weather, Hamilton occasionally serves as an alternate airport for diverted flights. For example, this week, Air New Zealand sent an Airbus A320 en route from Adelaide to Auckland to the airport while the weather calmed further north.
Hops across the Ditch - Australia
Australia is always a popular choice in New Zealand, and Australia is a fan favorite for many Kiwis. Air New Zealand operates to more Australian airports than any other carrier trans-Tasman, and from New Zealand, you can fly directly to these Australian ports:
Adelaide (ADL)
- Served solely by Air New Zealand
Brisbane (BNE)
- Direct services are operated by Air New Zealand, China Airlines, Jetstar, Qantas, and Virgin Australia.
Cairns (CNS)
- Seasonal services are operated by Air New Zealand over the winter southern hemisphere winter months.
Gold Coast (OOL)
- A popular choice for many with famous theme parks, shopping, and beaches, Air New Zealand and Jetstar compete fiercely on the route.
Melbourne (MEL)
- On track to become the most populated city in Australia by 2031, tourists flock to Melbourne for the hip street scene, easy access to the Great Ocean Road, and Melbourne Cricket Ground, among many other attractions; airlines serving the trans-Tasman market include Air New Zealand, Jetstar, Virgin Australia, and Qantas.
Perth (PER)

Extra non-stop flights from Shanghai and new flights from Nanjing will be landing soon at Melbourne Airport, thanks to support from the Victorian Government. Minister for Jobs and Industry, Natalie Hutchins, announced that China Eastern Airlines will increase flights to Melbourne Airport from Shanghai Pudong International Airport and introduce new flights out of Nanjing Lukou International Airport from July this year. Backed by the Victorian Government and Melbourne Airport, these flights will strengthen connections with China’s biggest city and financial hub Shanghai as well as Nanjing, the capital of our sister-state Jiangsu Province. Victoria’s sister-state relationship with Jiangsu is our most enduring and has been the cornerstone of our cultural and economic ties to China for more than 40 years. These new flights will offer extra seats for business travellers between the two countries and provide nearly 3,650 tonnes of extra air freight export capacity each year, strengthening China’s status as Victoria’s largest trading partner with two-way merchandise trade in 2023 worth $39 billion. Victoria’s visitor economy continues to thrive with Melbourne becoming Australia’s first capital city airport to exceed pre-pandemic international capacity in December 2023 and global travelers generating $6.4 billion in tourism expenditure across the state last year. From new Air India flights from Mumbai to Turkish Airlines flights from Türkiye, the Government continues to support international airlines to add new routes to our Victorian airports to attract more visitors, create more jobs and bolster our economy.
