We had an issue with our car policy…

We had an issue with our car policy which in fairness was a combination of mix ups and confusion between ourselves and Chill. On speaking with Mark he very quickly got to the source of the problem and sorted things out much to my relief.

Apalling customer service

I have spent a full week trying to contact someone at Chill to forward documents. every phone call I waited 30 mins or more until I had to give up. I went on their web chat and I was told to wait 42 mins. I tried to register on their portal but it was broken. Absolutely appalling customer service unless you want to buy a policy then my call was answered immediately. very very frustrating.

Pretty unethical from Chill to…

Pretty unethical from Chill to surreptitiously try to make me sign a loan with Close Brothers upon my policy renewal. I nearly went for it and only stopped because they were asking me to fill out a form that needed to be signed by a member of the Garda at a Garda Station and I was like "uh, what?". So I called Chill to cancel my policy because of this crazy requirement and the attendant said "oh no, we don't require that from you". So I asked "was that for a loan I didn't ask for, then?", to which he confirmed. Firstly I would like to say that I appreciated his honesty and directness, and the fact that he cancelled my policy quickly, without trying to convince me to stay. But I have to say that I was so disappointed at Chill's tactics that I no longer trust them to be my insurers.

Was having a lot of trouble uploading documents as requested by chill and wasn't receiving emails they were sending me and finally got through to a man named John on the livechat. Very confusing when asked to log in and provide details when I went to the website. Received a text message but as with all recent texts I was a bit dubious about clicking on any links. Difficult economic times

We gathered quotes from various travel insurance companies to determine the best annual travel insurance policies. In these examples, we used a year-long trip by a 22-year-old from Alabama. We indicated the main countries of travel as France and Malaysia, and when asked, put the total trip costs at $6,000.

The average cost for an annual travel insurance plan came out to $220. The plans ranged from $138-$386.

Absolutely fantastic customer service online and over the phone

Thank you very much for your help this morning. I wanted to make some changes to my insurance policy and had a few follow up questions after looking at the renewal documents I was sent my email. I found this email reminders very helpful as well as the offer of another alternative for my renewal. Also when I got through to Liam in the contact centre he was absolutely fantastic, very pleasant, took me through everything patiently and answered all my questions and made it so easy, quick and efficient for me. Great experience, as always!

I have been with Chill insurance for the past 4 years and have just renewed with them again. Even after lots of quote checking with other insurers, Chill came up the lowest by a mile again this year. The process was seamless and quick, I was able to renew online over their chat option, adding my partner to the policy and changing my direct debit details were no problem. Daniel was the agent I was dealing with and he was 10/10, got everything sorted for me in less than 20 minutes, he was extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with.

"CHILL INSURANCE" HAVE RIPPED ME OFF

I took out house insurance, with chill insurance. I decided to pay by direct debit, I left a €250 deposit, unfortunately I was late, getting some documentation into them, and they decided to cancel my policy. I was shocked by the complete lack of flexibility, but i said ok , partly my fault. I rang chill and was told we have cancelled your policy and will charge you €50 admin fees and €50 for 3 weeks coverage, we will email to confirm. I waited 10 days, no email arrived, I rang this morning to be told that I will not be getting any of the deposit back, as they are now charging me a cancellation fee of €98, extra admin fees. BTW to get this info I rang 4 times and was left holding each time for over 35 mins. I have since got coverage which cost €200 less than CHILL. My advice is shop around, CHILL will only take your money with no regard to the customer. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Dealt with a gentleman called John on…

Dealt with a gentleman called John on the 'Chat' while trying to update my policy to reflect some errors I had made during my initial quote. John called around to the insurance providers and was able to resolve my issue in a very timely, efficient and friendly manner. I would have no issue at all recommending this service after my interaction.

Daniel was very helpful this morning on the chat. He helped me within minutes on top of an already very busy morning. Very approachable and non stressful. It’s nice to talk to another human who understands real emotions rather than an automated system.

PLEASE ANSWER THE PHONE

Why o Why does CHILL bother to put their telephone number on their website. I was trying to get talking to a 'human being' on several occasions lately. I waited and waited and after listening to the same recorded message for 32mins and 52 seconds and the second time I was left holding for 27mins and 45 seconds. What a joke. Customer service is just appalling. Eventually I got talking to a most helpful member of staff named Hannah. She was so understanding and caring AND SORTED OUT MY ISSUE IN 5 mins. I GIVE HANNAH 5 STARS BUT I AM ONLY GIVING CHILL INSURANCE ONE (1) STAR FOR NOT HAVING MORE PEOPLE EMPLOYED TO ANSWER THE PHONES. AFTER ALL IT IS OUR PREMIUMS THAT ARE KEEPING CHILL IN BUSINESS

Where being cheaper leaves plenty left in the tank to carry the cost of living.

Brilliant having the available quote well in advance of the renewal date. Receiving a quote that was agreeable without a consultation in advance. Secure online access to documents helps with the filing to my drive . Downloadable copies of agreements is reassuring in case needed.Would have given the extra star if I received an SMS that the policy was renewed with documents pending on completion of the transaction.

I had issue with Policy and they solved it quickly and professionally over chat. Using them for last few years, no issues so far. I compared policy price they gave me and one insurer created directly for me and their was cheaper around 50 euros.
