Pink Floyd’s Nick Mason Shares New 2022 North American Tour Dates

Pink Floyd co-founder and drummer Nick Mason has announced the rescheduled dates of his North American tour with his band, Saucerful of Secrets. The dates, now scheduled for the fall, had been planned to begin in mid-January but were postponed citing “uncertainty surrounding the Covid pandemic.” The North American tour, with the band performing early Floyd classics, now begins on Sept. 22 following an extensive tour of the U.K. and Europe this spring and summer. (The U.K. shows had been delayed for a third time due to the uncertainty surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic.)

Eight dates have been added to the North American run, though the re-routing required that concerts in Cincinnati, St. Louis, Memphis, KC, Sacramento and Spokane needed to be canceled. See the full itinerary below. Tickets for the concerts are available here .

“We are really looking forward to returning to North America and we’re happy to be able to now announce these new dates for later this year,” said Nick Mason in the March 21 announcement. “We wanted to make sure to come back when it’s safe for our fans, the band, and our crew.”

Mason released a live album in autumn 2020, recorded in London. The 22-track collection, titled Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets Live at the Roundhouse , is available in a variety of formats. The concerts on the recordings took place in May 2019.

As Mason noted when he first formed the combo, “With the help of some like-minded friends, I have embarked on a voyage of discovery of the music that was the launch pad of Pink Floyd and my working life. It seems too early to retire, and I missed the interaction with other musicians.”

He is the only constant member of Pink Floyd, performing on all of their albums as well as all of their live shows.

Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets are Mason, Spandau Ballet guitarist Gary Kemp, longtime Pink Floyd touring bassist Guy Pratt, guitarist Lee Harris and keyboardist Dom Beken.

The group played their first gigs at four intimate live shows at London’s Dingwalls and The Half Moon in Putney in May 2018. These were Mason’s first live musical outings since Pink Floyd’s Division Bell tour in 1994, and the show at Dingwalls was his first since Pink Floyd played at the 2005 Live 8 concert in London.

The band went on to sell-out theaters around the world including three nights at London’s Roundhouse, where Pink Floyd played some of their most revered early shows in the 1960’s.

In April 2019, Mason’s longtime bandmate, Roger Waters, joined him on stage.

The 2022 tour will see the band further expand their repertoire and will play songs from Pink Floyd’s early catalog up to the 1972 album Obscured by Clouds .

Pink Floyd's Nick Mason Announces Additional 2022 North American Tour

Tickets are going on sale beginning Friday, March 25, 2022 at 10:00 am local time.

Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets today announced rescheduled dates for The Echoes Tour with 28 stops in major cities across the U.S. and Canada including Philadelphia, Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles. The Echoes Tour has also added dates in Columbus, Minneapolis, Detroit, Buffalo, Indianapolis, Tulsa, Austin, and Santa Barbara, with tickets going on sale beginning Friday, March 25, 2022 at 10:00 am local time.

The Echoes Tour, previously set for January/February 2022, was postponed out of an abundance of caution due to surges of Coronavirus cases. For rescheduled shows that will be taking place at the same venue, all previously

purchased tickets will be valid for the new date. For all shows being moved to new venues, customers will be automatically refunded for their purchase and offered an exclusive presale opportunity for the new venue and date. Further information will be sent directly to the original ticketholders by email shortly, and for any additional ticketing inquiries, fans should reach out to their point of purchase.

The legendary Pink Floyd drummer and his group —  guitarist Gary Kemp, bassist Guy Pratt, guitarist Lee Harris and keyboardist Dom Beken — were originally supposed to swing through North America earlier this year, but postponed the tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The psychedelic rock group will now launch its Echoes tour in September — with plans to make several stops in California.

Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets, a project that focuses on the pre-“Dark Side of the Moon” material of Pink Floyd, performs Oct. 24 at the Balboa Theatre in San Diego, Oct. 25 at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, Oct. 26 at Arlington Theatre in Los Angeles and Oct. 28 at the Fox Theater in Oakland.

The postponed Sacramento date, originally set for the Memorial Auditorium, has been canceled.

Pink Floyd Co-Founder Nick Mason’s 2022 Echoes Tour Mixed with Waves

Find out how Pink Floyd founding member Nick Mason brings the legendary band’s pre- Dark Side of the Moon material to the stage on the 2022 Echoes tour—with his Saucerful of Secrets project, and with Waves plugins.

Carr’s setup is powered by the potent Waves-Avid combination, where Waves plugins are running as an integral part of an Avid VENUE S6L desk . “Having all my Waves plugins accessible from my S6L in such a brilliantly simple way enables me to work as I would in a studio,” he says. “It helps me take my live mix to a higher level of creative artistry, without needing racks upon racks of outboard. With the low latency of the Waves live system, and numerous instances of whichever plugin I need, it often feels there is no limit to what I can do to achieve certain sounds and effects.”

“So, my first big challenge was to reduce unwanted bleed into the vocal mics. Here, the expander option in the Waves SSL G-Channel is invaluable. This plugin is a great model of a classic, and I use it on every drum channel for EQ, dynamics and tone. The compressor’s auto makeup gain is simply a must-have for me when mixing punchy, crystal clear drums. I’ve also experimented with the Waves Primary Source Expander (PSE) to prevent mic bleed. Both plugins do the job brilliantly. With a bit of fine-tuning, I can automatically close open mics all around the stage when not in use, giving me a very tight close-miking-sounding mix even in reverberant rooms.”

“Another issue is the variety of guitars used in this show. The guitar players switch guitars frequently, so tone and levels vary from song to song. Rather than interfere with the guitarists’ tone, I generally leave the EQs flat, with just some gentle high passing; instead, I use compression to control the feel of each instrument. Here, I use the H-Comp Hybrid Compressor on the guitar channels, to maintain a constant level from instrument to instrument. H-Comp is fantastically simple to use, though its simplicity is deceiving – it has so much variety. I love its Dry/Wet mix function, which I use for ALL of my parallel compression now.”

“Lastly, all my mixes are put together with these three plugins: the Waves API 550B EQ is essential for my subgroups; it’s musical and sweet and gives me what I need every time. The IR-Live Convolution Reverb is absolutely brilliant because I can import my own impulse responses. And my go-to delay for any situation is the Waves H-Delay Hybrid Delay .”

Roger Waters Kicks Off Rescheduled Tour In Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Pink Floyd's Roger Waters has rescheduled his tour, including a stop in Pittsburgh.

Waters will be at PPG Paints Arena on July 6 of next summer, kicking off the 36-show tour across the U.S. and Canada in Pittsburgh.

The show includes songs from Pink Floyd's golden era and several new ones. Waters says this could be his "last hurrah."

The This Is Not A Drill tour was scheduled for 2020 but was postponed because of the pandemic. Ticketholders will get an email with more information.

Roger Waters This Is Not A Drill 2022 Tour

Roger Waters will embark on what he’s cheekily teasing as his “first farewell tour,” officially dubbed This Is Not a Drill, summer 2022. He was supposed to launch the trek last year, but pandemic lockdowns sidelined his plans. The new run of dates will kick off in Pittsburgh on July 6th, 2022.

Tickets are on sale now via RogerWaters.com . Those who held onto tickets for the 2020 dates will get an email with further information about the new dates. Those tickets will be valid for the new dates.

“ This Is Not A Drill is a groundbreaking new rock & roll/cinematic extravaganza, performed in the round, ” Waters wrote in a statement. “ It is a stunning indictment of the corporate dystopia in which we all struggle to survive, and a call to action to love, protect, and share our precious and precarious planet home. The show includes a dozen great songs from Pink Floyd’s Golden Era alongside several new ones — words and music, same writer, same heart, same soul, same man. Could be his last hurrah. Wow! My first farewell tour! Don’t miss it. Love, R. ”

When Waters announced the tour last year, he promised an all-new production, following his Us + Them and the Wall tours, that would be presented in the round.

When he was originally planning it, he had timed it to run up to the 2020 election. “ [The new tour] will be even more political than Us + Them was — political and humane, ” “ We were listening to songs and looking at setlists today. We were talking about, what should we call it? I shouldn’t be giving this away, but I don’t give a shit because it will probably all change, but imagine the iconic helicopter that normally comes before ‘Happiest Days’ and ‘Brick 2’ — that noise that we all know and love — and imagine a megaphone, somebody abused this device before, I know — but, ‘This is not a drill.’ I thought that could be a good title for the show: This Is Not a Drill. The ruling class is killing us. ”

23rd June 2022 – Ian Ritchie producer of Roger Waters Radio K.A.O.S album and long-serving saxophone player in his touring band 2006 – 2016 minus The Wall tour has just announced that he is stepping down from Roger’s upcoming This Is Not A Drill Tour.

22nd June 2022 – The creative force behind Pink Floyd, the legendary Roger Waters, returns to The Late Show to perform a medley of songs including one classic that fans can expect to hear on his 40-date North American tour, which will be performed in-the-round, titled “This Is Not A Drill.”

A firm favorite amongst fans over the globe, it features exclusive photography and gives an insight into the day and life of a touring band member within Roger Waters’ touring arsenal.

David Gilmour announces 2024 tour, 2 MSG concerts. Get tickets today

That crazy diamond is shining on again.

Long-time Pink Floyd member David Gilmour just announced he will perform four U.S. concerts this year as part of an international tour in support of his forthcoming solo album “Luck and Strange.”

His first two North American gigs will be at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl on Tuesday, Oct. 29 and Wednesday, Oct. 30.

After that, the 78-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Famer drops into the Big Apple for a pair of concerts at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Monday, Nov. 4 and Tuesday, Nov. 5 .

While we can’t confirm or deny whether Gilmour will perform Pink Floyd classics in addition to solo tracks on this brief jaunt, records show he has played favorites like “The Great Gig in the Sky,” “Wish You Were Here,” “Money,” “Time” and “Comfortably Numb” at concerts in year’s past, according to Set List FM .

If you can’t wait to catch Gilmour live this year, tickets can be scooped up for all North American concerts as soon as today.

Brit Floyd Announce Massive North American Tour in 2024

Beloved Pink Floyd tribute band Brit Floyd have just announced an enormous North American tour this summer! Known as “The World’s Greatest Pink Floyd Experience”, the outfit will hit both US coasts with support from keyboardist Harry Waters, who happens to be the son of Pink Floyd singer and bassist Roger Waters. PJ Olsson will also make an appearance at the Morrison, Colorado concert.

The P-U-L-S-E Tour will take the band across dozens of cities to perform tracks from Pink Floyd’s 1994 album Division Bell to celebrate the album’s 30th anniversary. Fans can also expect an excellent medley of hits outside of Division Bell as well. Brit Floyd has also recently announced a European leg of the tour in fall 2024 and a UK leg of the tour in early 2025.

The Brit Floyd 2024 North American Tour will kick off on May 16 in Columbus, Ohio at Kemba Live! The tour will close, pending additional tour dates, on July 28 in North Charleston, South Carolina at North Charleston Performing Arts Center.
