Your host and skipper, John Henderson, has 16 years’ experience in the Tourism and yacht charter industry in the Whitsundays.

With the spectacular scenery of the islands, beautiful Whitehaven Beach and surrounds, fantastic snorkelling & sailing, all of this along with its proximity to the great Barrier reef, it is now rated as one of the best holiday locations in the world.

The islands have long been a favourite place to visit - from the earliest of visitors, the native aboriginals who would come for hunting and fishing, to European explorers and seafarers who sought shelter while passing through, to the first settlers who endeavoured to live and farm on the islands, to modern day explorers - back packers and visitors from Australia and all around the world.

We took a road trip up to Airlie Beach and stayed 4 days. We booked this for the day before we left. An amazing day for the entire family in Ngaro country treated with respect, understanding and knowledge. Peter and John provide a tour through this paradise that is relaxing, fun and moving. Peter was incredible with everyone and the kids, answering questions and sharing his country, stories and culture openly. This is an example of what tourism needs to be.

We opted to include snorkeling as well and were taken to a stunning inlet far away from the crowds. This was by far the best experience we had in Airlie beach.

The Ackinclose Family

This was the holiday of a lifetime. When we returned, we immediately got off the boat and walked straight into the office to book again for the following year.

We had an absolute blast. And really the boat was the centre piece of that. It was everything we could have asked for; spacious, luxurious, comfortable, plenty of water storage and fridge/freezer space, room to spread out, great cooking facilities, plenty of lounging areas and a hot shower and comfy bed at the end of every day.

Perhaps most importantly it allowed us to ‘choose our own adventure’! This holiday had it all…. turquoise waters, swimming, snorkeling, fishing, isolated beaches, white sand, incredible walks, beach combing, whales, dolphins, turtles, tropical fish, and some high sea adventures! It’s one thing to visit the Whitsundays, it’s another altogether to holiday ON the Whitsundays. Being on the water 24/7 is an experience unlike any other… it was pure joy!

We loved being on our own (the perfect covid safe holiday really!), enjoying each others company and everyday being an adventure. Not to mention relaxing and unwinding with the most amazing scenery and sunsets. This is a holiday you and your children will remember forever!

The team is headed by Rob from Adelaide who is a creative and talented boat builder, a local artist whose paintings were inspired by his years spent skippering Habibi and Big Fury, who excels in unique designs, mechanics and engineering and who also loves the great outdoors, nature and animals. Rob inherited his great culinary skills from the Italian side of the family and great business sense from his Armenian genes!

His partner in crime is Dianne, who arrived in Australia over 20 years ago as a young backpacker from Ireland, who has a passion and flair for hospitality, cooking, and organising social events. Dianne’s travel bug has taken her to many far-flung destinations, where she has learned the secrets of what cultural awareness, environmental sustainability, and customer service really means.

These great attributes from Rob and Dianne inspire the unique, spirited, and energic crew which make up part of our team.
