Fantastic experience with lovely views of the wine country, great wines and lunch spot, great guide. I wish the itinerary had been a little clearer, so here it is for anyone thinking of it- you take a 1 hour drive to get to the first stop, and then you go taste wine, then drive another 20 mins or so to the boat, and take a short 30 min cruise up and back. Then lunch about 20 mins away, stops for views, lunch is in a gorgeous garden setting, more tastings and then a drive home.

This is WELL worth the money! Our tour guide picked us up around 8:15 and then we went on our way to pick up a few other people on our tour. I was surprised to find out the Douro valley is about 1.5 hours outside Porto, but didn't mind that much since it was included in the payment. The first vineyard we visited was like a dream. It was at the owner's house and it was picturesque! It had the most unbelievable views I had ever seen. We then went to a 3 course, DELICIOUS lunch. From there, we did a 1 hour river cruise and had more wine. Finally, we went to 1 more vineyard, which was a bit more modern, and equally beautiful. It was so amazing. I will say that the trip, in total, took about 11 hours (from pickup to drop off). We didn't care though as we experienced the most amazing day. I will also add that in order to get to these places, they do drive you up these very narrow and steep roads. I am very afraid of heights and pretty much shut my eyes every time we were in the car. It was well worth it though!

A fantastic experience and one which we will remember forever. Ana was a great host and we enjoyed to port tastings, drive through the valley, boat cruise and a great lunch. We would do it over if we have the opportunity. The group was small enough to get to know everyone and this added to the great experience

I would never take another tour with this tour company. First they came over an hour late for our pickup, which they blamed on the first driver being sick. Second, they didn’t provide water which they said in the description of the tour they will. Third, the first tour and tasting was terrible! The group tour was too large and the tasting was just giving us three wines to drink without any description of what we were drinking. Then they gave us two choices for lunch , unfortunately when we got to the restaurant they substituted one of the choices which was an awful substitution! They only saving grace was that the substitute guide, Diego, tried his best to make a bad situation better!

We were staying in Porto and our guide picked us up from our airbnb right on time which was surprising because the place we were staying away was sort of far from the city center. Our guide Ivo was very friendly and made good conversation as well as answered all of our questions not only related to the wine tour but also to Portugal in general. We visited two wineries where we got a tour and then wine tastings. Then we went on a lovely boat cruise where we got more wine. We also went to a really nice restaurant and received a traditional three course meal. Great day trip and overall highly recommend!
