The Hollywood Walk of Fame

Our 2 hour Hollywood bus tour starts off on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Los Angeles. Millions of people coming each year to see more than 2,500 stars that have been embedded into the sidewalk. The walk is a tribute to those who have made significant contributions to the entertainment industry, with each star representing a different celebrity. Also where you discover the history of filming locations, where the biggest Hollywood stories broke, and the hottest clubs owned by celebrities. See many iconic attractions like The Grauman’s Chinese Theatre (where you can match your hand and footprints to the stars), see The Dolby Theatre (home of the Oscars for the last 15 year), Capitol Records building, The Pantages Theatre and much more.

The Hollywood Sign

Then we venture up to the Hollywood Hills on Mulholland Drive with beautiful panoramic view of The Hollywood Sign, which originally read "Hollywoodland", was erected in 1923 as an advertisement for a housing development. It has since become an icon of Hollywood and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Los Angeles.

The Sunset Strip

Then cruise down the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, showcasing all the famed musical venues and celebrity hotspots such as The Chateau Marmont Hotel where the star's dine & play and the most famous party site for everyone from Lady Gaga to U2. See The Laugh Factory and The Comedy Store where many famous comedians got their start, such as Jim Carrey, Michael Keaton and David Letterman. Also see the notorious Viper Room, where River Phoenix died and once owned by Johnny Depp.

See the Whiskey A Go-Go where the Doors were the house band and Goldie Hawn was discovered dancing as a Go-Go girl. See The Roxy with the members-only club boasting of legendary members, such as John Lennon, Keith Richards, and John Belushi. Next door stands The Rainbow Bar and Grill from the Golden Age of Hollywood where Joe DiMaggio had his first date with Marilyn Monroe.

There is no doubt that those expectations are well fulfilled for tourists when they enter Beverly Hills . This is where you find the grand estates of the celebrities and the opulent residences of Hollywood stars.

Malibu (The Colony): Celebrity Star Maps

There is no other city in California that can beat Beverly Hills, except Malibu, when it comes to the number of stars that live there. It is interesting that before 1929, no one was allowed to enter this specific neighborhood along the beach, known as “Malibu Colony,” as it belonged to Frederick & May Rindge who kept it private. In 1929, it was opened for public and stars started to rent properties here. It was in 1930 that stars and other people living in this area were allowed to “own” their homes. The Colony is guarded by gates and it’s the privacy of the colony that most celebrity residents love about it. 

Another really interesting thing about the homes here is that most celebrities come here to spend their vacations and leisure time. Very few stars live here permanently – most have homes closer to studios in Beverly Hills where they live while working. Then, when they have downtime, their Malibu vacation home is a short 30-minute drive away.

There’s something about seeing how others live that’s intrinsic to human nature. We love peeking into our favorite celeb homes  just as much as we love peeking into our neighbors’  living room  windows on a leisurely late-night stroll. Seeing how people fashion their homes provides an intimate, voyeuristic look at how they live. While we all want to imagine how Brooklyn Decker spends her Saturday afternoons sprawled in front of her fireplace or where Whitney Port watches her favorite TV shows, unless we're invited over by divine intervention, we'll never know. 

Thankfully, some of them have kindly let the MyDomaine team inside to shoot their space and to share their mutual love of interior design. We’ve already established that  Brooklyn Decker  is a bit of a closeted mastermind decorator. She did, after all, take on the remodel of the Austin ranch she shares with husband Andy Roddick entirely on her own. Decker relied on instinct and her discerning eye to add a bit of life to an otherwise ordinary dressing room.

When Estee Stanley and Mat Sanders undertook the redesign of actress Erin Foster’s home, the brief was to create a “light, not cluttered, and warm home.” By infusing the house with a mix of bright jewel and pastel tones, they were able to create a space that had a slight boho flair but still felt put-together and elegant.

There’s a clear rocker-chic vibe in the Los Angeles home of Fall Out Boy guitarist Joe Trohman and his wife, Marie. While the couple already had more than enough pieces of furniture to play with from their former homes in New York and Chicago, the design team at Consort brought in dramatic geometric and glam accents to accentuate the edgy vibes of this Spanish-style home.

Nina Dobrev

Nina Dobrev  gravitates toward open, spacious homes—so she made sure this airy feeling translated into the design of her 1929 Spanish-style bungalow in West Hollywood. Sanders and Brandon Quattrone of  Consort Design  picked a predominantly white-and–light blue color scheme, using contrasting black accents used to maximize impact in the sparse décor.

Whitney Port

  Tessa Neustadt ; DESIGN:  Orlando Soria  for  Homepolish

When  Homepolish  unveiled a newly decorated screening room for reality TV sweetheart Whitney Port we were in awe. “Whitney is definitely a California beach girl,” says Homepolish designer Orlando Soria, who used her coastal flair as inspiration for the bright, laid-back space.

Jessica Alba

When Jessica Alba called on Sanders and Quattrone to redesign  her guesthouse , she wanted it to feel more like a mashup between a hotel and a house. The inspiration: New York landmarks with an old-world vibe, like The Bowery and Gramercy Park Hotels. And, seeing how the home is in Los Angeles, Alba also wanted to infuse a maritime essence—this is where the blue palette and bold stripes come in.

Constance Zimmer

The former  Entourage  star Constance Zimmer’s family home is a far cry from her persona in the show—the home she shares with her husband reads softer and more feminine. To achieve the look, the kitchen cabinets were painted a soft blue-gray, and the kitchen was accented with copper accents with an industrial feel. The adjoining living room makes the space feel even more inviting, with a plush sofa and a bright pink ottoman. Their dog, Nico, sure seems to approve.

We all long for that cool, minimal look Anine Bing rocks on the daily, so we weren't surprised to discover her Los Angeles home also mimicked her effortless personal style. While simple and pared-back in appearance, every piece was thought through and hand-selected to ensure a cohesive and impactful space.

When we posted a  sneak-peek  of Denise Vasi's epic marble kitchen in her Venice Beach home, it instantly went viral. The actress and founder of  Maed  designed the entire home with her husband and director, Anthony Mandler and its old-world charm is not lost on us. We're completely smitten and would go as far to say this kitchen is our favorite of all time, ever. 

Abigail Spencer

When she isn't on set, the  Timeless  star is playing mom to her 10-year-old son, Roman and her charming L.A. home is a reflection of both. It's stylish and cool yet cozy and comfortable, just the kind of space you want to come home to after a long day of filming.

Chip and Joanna Gaines Flipped This 1960s Home for Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse —See the Final Result

What’s the biggest lesson Chip and Joanna Gaines have learned in a decade of filming Fixer Upper ? “Two homes should not be telling the same story,” Joanna tells AD . That may sound mildly surprising, coming from the designer who is often credited for the ubiquitous modern farmhouse trend of the 2010s, but she asserts that trends come second to individuality in design these days—a welcome change. “I want everything that we touch to feel uniquely its own because that’s what it deserves,” the Magnolia cofounder says. “And I feel that's the same for everyone’s homes—if you’re starting with your story and what you’re passionate about, what you love and what you’re drawn to, it should look different than everything else.”

In the home’s living room, rounded built-in shelves coated in plaster were added to either side of the existing fireplace. Walnut trim emphasizes the arched opening leading into the kitchen.

For her and Chip’s latest project, a roughly 5,100-square-foot lakefront home near Waco, Texas, and the subject of the latest season of Fixer Upper (airing now), the couple looked to the structure’s original blueprints for clues as to what, exactly, that unique identity should be. “It always starts with the story of the home. How do I unearth that and bring that back to life?” Joanna explains. In the case of the lake house, it turned out that the original owners sought to blend their two favored styles: midcentury modern and Spanish Revival. The key, Gaines decided, was removing its circa-1990s renovations and honoring those original architectural styles from when it was built in 1965. The couple leaned into midcentury modern style furnishings and incorporated plastered walls, arches, and terra-cotta tiles to bring out the Spanish Revival side of the abode. In the kitchen, they chose terra-cotta tiled floors featuring marble starburst-shaped accents that harken to the Atomic Age —a perfect marriage of the two styles.

The beauty of the wooded landscape surrounding the property and—most importantly—its panoramic view of Lake Waco served as further inspiration. “My biggest teacher in this project was what was beyond the windows,” Joanna says. “How do I tie everything that’s happening on the interior to the exterior? If I could do that, then I had succeeded.” A triumphant moment in one episode of Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse sees the reno icon holding up a sample of the cherry wood used throughout the home to the backdrop of trees in the yard: It’s a match. In a choice that very much evokes the decade when the house was built, that cherry wood can be found in nearly every area of the five-bedroom dwelling, starting with the bespoke wood-paneled front door. To further emphasize the connection to the outdoors, Chip and Joanna made windows bigger, added skylights, and were careful not to compete too much with nature. In the entry area, Joanna deemed the former patterned floors a distraction from the lake view, opting to replace them with subtle white terrazzo tiles.

Marble rippled with richly saturated veining graces the kitchen backsplash, counters, and the top of an avocado green metal island. The latter is one of many completely custom-built pieces that Joanna left all over the house—her “love letter in each room.” In the primary bedroom, it’s a built-in wooden bed with a green velvet headboard and vintage sconces; in a retro rec room facing the backyard, it’s built-in seating that fits seamlessly with the wood-paneled walls. A formerly clunky set of steps to the upstairs bedrooms was torn out and replaced with a custom floating wood staircase backed by an accent wall of dark green tiles; a trio of handmade gridded wood screens lines the upper landing.

The primary bedroom features textured wallpaper, a custom built-in cherry wood bed with a velvet headboard and vintage sconces, and original hardwood floors.

In the moody dark green library, they added an accent wall with a grid of shallow front-facing shelves with slender brass bars, designed to display treasured photos, books, or records. “I thought that was a cool moment for the future homeowner to tell their story on that wall in a really beautiful way,” Joanna explains. While house-flipping, “design can go beyond just the tile and the flooring,” she says. “It’s like, what else practical can you give that homeowner? I like to add in extra things that hopefully help [them] layer on their story too.”

This Sophisticated Redesign of a Greenwich Village Apartment Strikes All the Right Notes

The piano is just the start!

Walsh and Leiser, a lawyer and a concert pianist, respectively, were looking for a transformation. Their place at Butterfield House in Greenwich Village had otherwise good bones and had already undergone a great architectural renovation, but the space lacked warmth and personality. Pappas and her partner, Tatyana Miron, immediately saw the potential.

The redesign quickly extended beyond the dining room. The living room, originally divided by a half wall, was opened up to create a more spacious area. “Where the piano is now, there used to be a sectional with a television on the wall,” Pappas says. “The living room is so bright, we liked the idea of going into a warm, dark space. We used the same lime plaster finish as the dining room in a rich taupe .”

Step Inside This Warm, Elegant Greenwich Village Home

The couple’s must-haves for their home were carefully considered. The living room needed flexible seating for the salons and music recitals Leiser frequently hosted. “The room is long and narrow, which didn’t lend itself to two spaces,” Miron says. “We added a custom bookcase to hold all her sheet music, crafted by a woodworker in Brooklyn.”

In the office, a custom oak desk was built to meet Walsh’s specific needs, including a good Zoom background and cozy, sound-absorbing upholstered walls. The entrance foyer, with its dark herringbone stone floor, features wood paneling that leads into the revived dining room, whose walls make a powerful statement. “ Red isn’t really our color,” Miron says. “But Alissa really gravitated to the color, so we just went with it.”

As far as Leiser and Walsh were concerned, Pappas Miron’s work seemed more like an exorcism than a renovation. The entire apartment—not just the dining room of their dread—was miraculously morphed into something warm and cozy, a harmonious space that reflects the couple’s lifestyle. “The whole thing went really seamlessly,” Miron says. “We’re still waiting to be invited to a recital, though.”

Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Leonardo DiCaprio are just a few of the many A-listers flocking to swanky members-only club The Ned NoMad for an ultimate luxury experience hidden away from prying eyes.

Page Six is taking our readers on an exclusive tour of the lower Manhattan mainstay, which is part of the Soho House & Co Inc. membership platform and offers VIP visitors access to several restaurants, party rooms, hotel suites and more.

“Celebrities like to come here because privacy is our top priority,” managing director Karin Kopano tells us of the social club, which just celebrated its two-year anniversary last week with a blowout bash and private performance by deep house icon Crystal Waters.

“They can have discreet check-ins, they have a special team that is dedicated to their needs before and during their stay, exclusive access to The Ned’s Club, as well as various dining experiences.”

Celebrities and members can eat, socialize, network and unwind inside the ritzy Ned’s Club: a curtained-off exclusive hub comprised of an atrium, a dining room, a library, a bar and an intimate space dubbed “The Snug.”

Sunlight pours in through the glass ceiling of the atrium and illuminates the stunning mirror-lined walls that inadvertently hinder any eagle-eyed spies from sneaking cell phone photos of celebrity guests.

“At The Ned’s Club, we have a no-picture policy because we value the privacy of our members and whoever is coming through our doors,” Kopano tells us. “We have our own security team and we’re very accustomed to dealing with celebrities’ security detail, getting to know the ins and outs to prepare the spaces for them.”

And when the sun sets and darkness fills the room, the house band takes to the stage and performs for a full room of chic partiers indulging in cocktails, caviar and cool conversation.

“Especially in the evening, especially toward the end of the week, it gets pretty lively,” Kopano says. “We do big parties there where we have a lot of celebrities coming.”

Doja Cat and Ice Spice twerked together at a corner table inside the private joint while celebrating New York Fashion Week last September.

Along with The Ned’s Club, stars have enjoyed the late-night party atmosphere of The Magic Room.

“This is a very special room,” Kopano says, noting that the low-lit lounge, which has its own outdoor terrace, has been used as an afterparty spot for musicians, comedians and athletes alike.

Swift and Gomez rolled through The Magic Room following the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. Kopano remembers the singers “having a great time, just being amongst their friends” – and far away from the paparazzi.

“It was a late night for them, that’s for sure,” Kopano recalls with a laugh. “The who’s who were at that party.”

The elegant space, which can host just 75 to 100 people, has a moody bar, elevated cocktail tables and a small stage where a piano often doubles as a DJ outpost for cocktail-infused evenings.

“At night time, it can turn into a nightclub vibe with dim lights and great DJs,” Kopano explains, noting that Madame Gandhi and Mia Moretti have been amongst the DJs recently spinning tunes at the venue. “It creates such a big energy and it’s so vibrant and people just love it.”

The walls are lined with paintings and photography from The Ned Nomad’s eclectic art collection curated by Soho House’s global art director, Kate Bryan.

“The art collection here is a true testament to the building’s rich history and vibrance,” Kopano shares. “Following the strong, women-led art program at The Ned London, we did the same here.”

The Ned Nomad has nearly 300 pieces throughout the building — some of which were “specifically commissioned” for the site and “highlight prominent figures from New York’s contemporary art world,” Kopano says.

Other stars who have been spotted moving and grooving in The Magic Room include Mark Wahlberg, Anitta and Offset.

For an even more intimate gathering, celebrities have often congregated in The Dome, a dreamy private supper spot perched atop The Ned Nomad’s sprawling rooftop.

Small VIP groups can gather inside the cylindrical space under a beautiful old-money-style chandelier and be surrounded by “breathtaking views of the city.”

The manicured rooftop features optimal al fresco seating setups and lush greenery and is connected to an art deco lounge with a large bar serving craft cocktails and fine wines.

As Page Six previously reported, “Gossip Girl” star Evan Mock hosted a rowdy celebration on the rooftop last February. Julia Fox, Aoki Lee Simmons and socialite Ivy Getty all attended the fête.

Likewise, Kendall Jenner recently co-hosted a GQ x FWRD soirée on the rooftop where guests like Emily Ratajkowski, Yung Taco, Shay Mitchell and Zack Bia sipped on the model’s 818 Tequila.

The property’s lavish hotel suites have also played host to some of the world’s most famous celebrities over the years.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky reportedly enjoyed a date night in one of the deluxe suites in August 2022. A month later, the “Diamonds” singer’s ex-boyfriend Drake was seen staying in one of the suites.

The Johnston Suite — which costs a staggering $5,000 a night — encapsulates the glamour of the Roaring ’20s and features a kitchen, living room, antique-style bedroom and private terrace space with an outdoor shower.

“We did have one celebrity stay there for a month while he was renovating his own apartment,” Kopano recalls of the 1,100-square-foot duplex.

“He had a special request that he wanted a special Japanese toilet that was about $5,000,” she adds. “We got it for him and we still have it.”

Kopano asserted that her team is used to accommodating “everything and anything” because “no is not an option.”

The luxurious Toto latrine is just one of the many lavish offerings made available to guests staying in the suites.

Upon check-in, “special VIPs” receive a surprise plush bathrobe that is custom-monogrammed with their name to make them feel right at home. Guests are also treated to daily fresh floral arrangements by Blondie’s Treehouse, Inc., and complimentary skincare and bath products by Cowshed .

“We have eight full-sized bottles of products to use [in the shower] depending on your mood. If you want something invigorating, if you want something calming, there’s an option,” she says.

“When you’re traveling to The Ned Nomad, you don’t have to pack anything. From a toothbrush, to a curling iron, to skin products — everything is there for you.”

Most rooms are equipped with stylish clawfoot bathtubs for guests to soak in after a long day of working or shopping.

The Broadway Suite, which has a starting rate of $2,800 per night, is famous for having a free-standing bathtub right inside the luxe bedroom and has been a hot spot for a handful of celebrity photo shoots.

The unique suite has custom-made velvet furniture, a fully-stocked mini fridge with top-shelf liquor and an adjoining room that celebrities often use for their security team or accompanying entourage.

As for the F&B, guests can dine or order room service from the beloved on-site restaurant, Cecconi’s, as well as several other eateries. Some favorite dishes to the stars include the buffalo mozzarella pizza and cheeseburger with crispy fries as well as cocktails like dirty martinis and spicy negronis.

We’re told a well-known comedian once ordered three rounds of the venue’s dill pickle martini during a business meeting, while a famous DJ who keeps their identity anonymous once ordered martinis to-go. We also hear a pop star who just turned 21 asked for the Negroni Bohemia to be bottled up and brought to her room.

Page Six is also told that a certain Grammy-winning artist “couldn’t get enough” of the grilled cheese truffle sandwich while getting ready for the VMAs with her glam squad in a suite. We also hear that a famous singer, who has performed during the Super Bowl Halftime Show, once enjoyed a delicious dinner on the roof with her rapper partner.

“A-listers like to come and dine at Cecconi’s, sometimes with a baseball cap,” Kopano says, assuring us, “But we make sure that they don’t have any fans around them and they can enjoy without anyone disturbing them.”

She adds that the back loading dock entrance to the venue is used by “very high-end VIPs that don’t want to come in through the front door.”

The Ned’s Club is a global brand with locations already existing in London and Doha, and a club opening soon in Washington, DC.
