TOUR Championship

ATLANTA — The PGA Tour season concludes at East Lake Golf Club for the Tour Championship this week, as the top 30 players look to take home the FedEx Cup.

Here is everything you need for the Tour Championship: a preview, full TV schedule, streaming schedule, and complete list of first-round tee times.

Tour Championship Information

Where: East Lake Golf Club (Par 70, 7,346 yards)

When: Aug. 24-27th

Purse: $75 million ($18 million to the winner)

Defending Champ: Rory McIlroy

Tour Championship Preview

The final event of the 2023 season is here as the PGA Tour looks to crown a FedEx Cup champion at the Tour Championship. Players will compete for a $75 million purse, where the winner will take home a whopping $18 million.

This week is different from the BMW Championship and FedEx St. Jude Championship. Players start with strokes depending on where they finished on the points standings. Scottie Scheffler will start at 10-under, Viktor Hovland at 8-under, Rory McIlroy at 7-under, Jon Rahm at 6-under and so on.

East Lake Golf Club is a doozy. Multiple par-4s stretch beyond 450 yards, and there are only two par-5s on the course. Keeping it in the fairways will be imperative. Water comes into play on some pivotal holes, so avoiding the penalty areas will be a crucial component to hoisting the FedEx Cup trophy.

McIlroy sits in a strong spot entering the week. Last year, he came from behind and waltzed past Scheffler to win his third FedEx Cup. With nine straight top-9s and his game in form, can the Northern Irishman close it out in Atlanta again?

Scheffler fell short last year, but did he learn his lesson?

Hovland is coming off a historic 61 at Olympia Fields to win the BMW Championship, and he looks dialed in this week. Can he go back-to-back?

Xander Schauffele plays East Lake better than anyone in the field. Only Tiger Woods plays this course better historically. Schauffele won in 2017 and has finished in the top seven in the past six seasons.

So many intriguing storylines are here in Atlanta as the top players in the world will battle it out at East Lake. Of course, they will need to beat the heat too.

Viktor Hovland played the best golf of his life in the final two weeks of the PGA TOUR season, and it paid off Sunday with the biggest trophy of his career -- a FedExCup title along with the $18 million bonus.

Staked to a six-shot lead, Hovland didn't flinch under a relentless challenge from Xander Schauffele. The 25-year-old Norwegian stayed on the attack and closed with a 7-under 63 for a five-shot victory at East Lake.

Thirty players, 72 holes, $18 million to the winner. These are stakes at this week’s Tour Championship, where the FedEx Cup champion will be crowned at East Lake Country Club in Atlanta as the PGA Tour culminates its 2022-23 season.

Rory McIlroy is looking to become the first player to win back-to-back FedEx Cup titles. The Northern Irishman started the final round a year ago six shots off the pace of leader Scottie Scheffler, only to shoot a closing 66 and rally to claim his third career FedEx Cup, adding to wins in 2016 and 2019.

But if McIlroy is to repeat, he has his work cut out for him. Unique to this week’s event is the tournament’s staggered start format, where the No. 1 ranked player in the FedEx Cup standings heading into the week—Scott Scheffler for the second straight year—starts the tournament at 10 under par, with the rest of the field playing catch-up. McIlroy, No. 3 in the standings, begins the first round three back of Scheffler at seven under.

While the winner takes home $18 million, all 30 players competing will earn at least $500,000. Here’s a break down of the FedEx Cup bonus payouts: Win: $18,000,000

EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France — If the first three majors of the 2024 LPGA Tour season have been any indication, the 30th edition of The Amundi Evian Championship is sure to see some shock and drama this week at Evian Resort Golf Club. The 132-played field is chock full of some of the world’s most talented athletes, and everyone competing this week will be eying their share of the $8 million prize fund that’s up for grabs as well as 650 always-critical points in the Race to the CME Globe.

Here are just a few players to keep your eye on this week at The Amundi Evian Championship:

Nasa Hataoka

Japan’s Nasa Hataoka hasn’t won on the LPGA Tour since the 2022 DIO Implant LA Open, but it’s not for lack of trying. The six-time Tour winner has collected 16 top-10 results since picking up that victory at Wilshire Country Club, one of which came at Evian Resort Golf Club last year when Hataoka tied for third after posting a four-round total of 7-under. It was the third time that the 25-year-old had finished T16 or better at The Amundi Evian Championship, as Hataoka tied for 16th in her tournament debut in 2018 and then tied for 15th in 2022 after missing the cut at the major championship in 2019.

While her top-10 count might be a bit lower in 2024 than what fans are typically used to seeing from Hataoka, she has still managed to earn four other top-15 results this year, all of which came in four consecutive starts at The Chevron Championship (T13), JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro (T13 ), Cognizant Founders Cup (T12) and Mizuho Americas Open (T14).

That consistency has also shown itself in Hataoka’s stats this year. According to KPMG Performance Insights, she is gaining shots on the field in all but the strokes gained putting category, most notably ranking 13th in strokes gained tee to green (+1.17) and 14th in strokes gained approach (+0.82). She is also third on the LPGA Tour this year in rounds under par, carding 27 rounds of par or better across the 15 tournaments in which she has teed it up in 2024.

Charley Hull

Charley Hull

Charley Hull hasn’t finished worse than T23 in a major championship since missing the cut at last year’s Amundi Evian Championship, and while she didn’t play the weekend in 2023, that doesn’t mean Hull cannot contend at Evian Resort Golf Club. The 2022 edition of the major championship saw Hull post a 72-hole total of 15-under with all four rounds in the 60s and ultimately finish in a tie for third in her ninth Amundi Evian Championship appearance. She also has two other top-25 results at this event, tying for 22nd in 2018 and tying for 25th in 2021.

Hull has fared well on the LPGA Tour this season, earning six top-20 finishes, two of which were at major championships. She kicked off the year with a tie for seventh at the season-opening Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions and then tied for 10th at the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship. The 28-year-old tied for 13th at the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro and has collected two more top 20s in the last two major championships, tying for 19th at the U.S. Women’s Open presented by Ally and then tying for 16th at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship a few weeks ago in Sammamish, Wash.

According to KPMG Performance Insights, the six-time Solheim Cup participant is third on Tour in strokes gained driving (+0.75), seventh in strokes gained tee to green (+1.30) and 17th in strokes gained total (+1.19). Hull also ranks ninth on Tour in greens in regulation, finding the dance floor 71.72 percent of the time with her approach shots.

Atthaya Thitikul comes to The Amundi Evian Championship with plenty of confidence after capturing her third career LPGA Tour title alongside her playing partner Ruoning Yin at the Dow Championship just a couple of weeks ago. The Thailand native joined forces with the Chinese major champion to form Team Jin & Ronic, who posted a four-day total of 22-under at Midland Country Club to win by one shot over Ally Ewing and Jennifer Kupcho.

The victory was Thitikul’s first on the LPGA Tour since she won her second title as a rookie at the 2022 Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G after outlasting Danielle Kang in a playoff. Along with that win, Thitikul has earned five other top-15 finishes in just eight starts this season, two of which came at major championships, as the 21-year-old finished 12th at The Chevron Championship in her first tournament back after rehabbing a thumb injury and then tied for sixth at the U.S. Women's Open presented by Ally last month.

She has played in The Amundi Evian Championship on four other occasions, and after finishing T64 in her tournament debut in 2017, Thitikul hasn’t found herself outside the top 10 at Evian Resort Golf Club. She finished solo fifth in 2021 after posting a four-day total of 14-under and then followed up that performance with a T8 showing in 2022, ultimately finishing in a tie for ninth in 2023.

Statistically, Thitikul is gaining shots in every major strokes gained category on the LPGA Tour this season, most notably ranking third in strokes gained total (+1.84) and 12th in strokes gained tee to green (+1.20), according to KPMG Performance Insights. She is also fourth in greens in regulation (72.67%) and sixth in scoring average (70.64).

Morgane Metraux

While Morgane Metraux has yet to win on the LPGA Tour, the 27-year-old does have two wins on the Ladies European Tour, one of which came earlier this season at the Jabra Ladies Open. The Jabra Ladies Open has been held at Evian Resort Golf Club in Evian-les-Bains, France since its inception in 2017, a venue that is also home of this week’s Amundi Evian Championship. Metraux won by three shots over Agathe Sauzon and Chiara Tamburlini that week, posting a three-day total of 10-under at Evian Resort Golf Club. Considering she hails from Lausanne, Switzerland, a town located just a ferry ride across Lac Leman from Evian-les-Bains, her victory was quite popular with the French locals.

Metraux has made 11 starts on the LPGA Tour this year, and after missing the cut in her first six events of the 2024 season, the Epson Tour graduate has righted the ship, making four cuts in her last five starts and earning a season-best result of solo fifth at the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer, her second-best career result on the LPGA Tour. This week marks her fourth start in the Amundi Evian Championship, and in her three previous appearances, Metraux has earned a tournament-best result of T16 in the 2023 edition of the event.

2024 ISCO Championship odds, picks, field: Surprising predictions by golf model that's called 13 majors

Sportsline's proven model simulated the isco championship 2024 10,000 times and revealed its surprising pga tour golf picks.

michael-thorbjornsen-pga-getty-images.jpg

Amateurs rarely contend for PGA Tour titles, let alone head into an event atop the odds board. Luke Clanton is an exception this week, as he is the 14-1 favorite in the 2024 ISCO Championship odds. Clanton is coming off back-to-back top-10 finishes, including a T2 finish in the John Deere Classic last week. However, he is playing three weeks in a row on the PGA Tour for the first time in his career, so should you include him in your 2024 ISCO Championship bets?

Michael Thorbjornsen (18-1) is the only other golfer inside of 40-1 this week, so there are numerous longshot betting opportunities. Keene Trace Golf Club in Kentucky is set to host the tournament, which begins on Thursday morning. Before locking in your 2024 ISCO Championship picks, be sure to  see the PGA predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine .

Our proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model is up nearly $9,500 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

This same model has also nailed a whopping 13 majors entering the weekend, including the 2024 Masters -- its third Masters in a row -- and this year's PGA Championship and U.S. Open. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now with the 2024 ISCO Championship field locked in, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard .

Top 2024 ISCO Championship predictions

One major surprise the model is calling for at the ISCO Championship 2024: Thorbjornsen (18-1), who is one of two golfers listed inside of 40-1 to win the tournament, stumbles this week and fails to record a top-two finish. Thorbjornsen finished atop the 2024 PGA Tour University standings, and he is coming off a T2 finish at the John Deere Classic. He turned professional in June after earning his PGA Tour card for the remainder of 2024 and all of the 2025 season.

The 22-year-old has only played in 11 PGA Tour events during his career, posting just two top-10 finishes. He finished outside the top 35 in his first two tournaments this season, so it is going to be difficult for him to build on his career-best finish at the John Deere Classic. SportsLine's model has Thorbjornsen failing to crack the top two again this week, suggesting better value is to be had with other golfers on the PGA odds board.  See who else to fade here .

Another surprise: Joseph Bramlett, a 50-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He has a much better chance to win it all than his odds imply, so he's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday. Bramlett has missed the cut in each of his last two events, but the 36-year-old has significantly more experience than many golfers in this week's field.

He has played in 147 PGA Tour events, carding five top-10 finishes while making the cut 78 times. Bramlett ranks inside the top 25 in driving distance, which will put him in position to rack up birdie opportunities. This is one of the easiest courses on the PGA Tour, and Bramlett will be motivated to take advantage of the inexperienced field.  See who else to back here .

How to make 2024 ISCO Championship picks

The model is also targeting three other golfers with odds of 45-1 or longer who will make a strong run at the title. Anyone who backs these longshots could hit it big.  You can only see the model's picks here .

Who will win the 2024 ISCO Championship, and which longshots will stun the golfing world? Check out the ISCO Championship 2024 odds below and then visit SportsLine to see the projected ISCO Championship leaderboard , all from the model that's nailed 13 golf majors, including the last three Masters and all three majors this year.

Can Scottie Scheffler hang on to win the FedEx Cup?

Getty Images

The 2022 Tour Championship — and the 2021/22 season! — will conclude on Sunday, Aug. 28, with the final round at East Lake. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 4 on TV or online.

Previewing Round 4

Bad weather in the Atlanta area cut Saturday’s third round short, with leading players Scottie Scheffler (-19) and Xander Schauffele (-18) on the 13th hole.

Play is scheduled to resume at 9:45 a.m. ET, with the final round starting shortly afterward at 11:16 a.m. ET.

Star leaderboard, big money and LIV Golf: The biggest storylines for Sunday at the Tour Championship

That will make it an extra-long day for the players who didn’t finish on Saturday — about half of the 29-player field.

And there should be plenty of drama in store. A boatload of bonus money is on the line, and despite No. 1 seed Scottie Scheffler’s head start, several players are closing in. Schauffele is only one back, Sungjae Im is three shots back and Rory McIlroy is four shots back.

You can stream Sunday’s final round via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ , or watch the telecast on Golf Channel.
