Stand-up comedian Nate Bargatze is returning to Hershey.

He'll bring "The Be Funny Tour" to the Giant Center on Friday, May 5, at 7 p.m.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on Dec. 9 at HersheyEntertainment.com and Ticketmaster.com .

Bargatze is selling out shows worldwide on his "Raincheck Tour," which sold out two shows at Hershey Theatre in the fall of 2021.

In July 2020, the comedian teamed up with All Things Comedy to release his weekly podcast, "Nateland." The podcast tackles meaningless issues faced day to day. New episodes are released on Wednesdays, with video available on YouTube and audio available on all podcast streaming platforms.

Following the continued success of his Netflix special, The Tennessee Kid , comedian, actor and writer Nate Bargatze is extending his best-selling Good Problem to Have stand-up tour into 2020, adding stops in more than 40 US cities.

Bargatze’s comedy is both clean and relatable, evident in his six appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon following four appearances on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon . He appeared on Conan four times, was a recurring guest on @midnight , and had his own Comedy Central Presents in 2011. Off-screen, Bargatze was part of Jimmy Fallon's Clean Cut Comedy Tour , and has done live shows for the troops in Iraq and Kuwait five times. He regularly performs at Bonnaroo, SXSW, Oddball Comedy Festival, Sasquatch, Clusterfest, and the JFL Montreal Comedy Festival, where he’s received critical acclaim multiple years in a row. Bargatze is also in production on a pilot for ABC, which he created and stars in.

He added that it’s also due to his religious upbringing. “I come from a Christian family and Southern Christian, so I wasn't allowed to watch anything, which I talk about in the special,” he told Fox. “And so growing up and only watching clean comedians, it was just how I was going to be. And it would feel forced if I was not."

CBS announced today that its first primetime special featuring comedian Nate Bargatze - an untitled, holiday-themed variety show exec produced by Bargatze, as well as Lorne Michaels and his Broadway Video - will be broadcast on the network and stream on Paramount+ this December.

Taping at the iconic Grand Ole Opry in Bargatze’s hometown of Nashville, TN on November 21, the special will see Bargatze guiding audiences through a mix of stand-up comedy, pre-taped comedy shorts, sketches and musical performances, as master of ceremonies. The show will shine a spotlight on the heart and spirit of Nashville during the holiday season, highlighting family, fun and feel-good moments that resonate with audiences of all ages.

The special marks a full-circle moment for Bargatze, who began his journey in comedy as an entry-level employee at The Grand Ole Opry. He’ll collaborate on it with SNL ‘s Mikey Day and co-head writer Streeter Seidell, with whom he previously joined forces on the viral SNL sketch “Washington’s Dream,” in his October 2023 hosting debut.

In addition to Michaels and Bargatze, exec producers will include Erin David and Andrew Singer of Broadway Video, as well as Tim Sarkes & Alex Murray of Brillstein Entertainment. Details as far as the special’s title, air date and more will be unveiled down the road.

Stated Bargatze, “I’m extremely excited to be creating this special as I have long been a big fan of variety, and we don’t see enough of it! I want to make a great show for families to gather around and watch together and I couldn’t be in better hands than with this team.”
