Trip of a lifetime

We had such an amazing time in Bosnia courtesy of Halal Travel Guide. Every detail of the trip exceeded our expectations, from the accommodations to the transportation and food. The itinerary kept us busy the entire week we were there while we explored the beautiful country. There were so many highlights to the trip with all the sights we got to see but the true highlight was our tour guide Selma who took care of our every need and shared so much knowledge and history with us. Through her reflections I felt a real connection to Bosnia and its people and deeper kinship with our Ummah. I would highly recommend visiting Bosnia and using HTG. We certainly plan to book with them again for future travel InshaAllah.

INCREDIBLE trip to Bosnia

The trip arranged for us by Halal Travel Guide was just incredible. In terms of logistics, everything was seamless from the time of arrival until departure. The amenities were perfect. We were travelling with a large group of family and Halal Travel Guide made everything very easy. MORE IMPORTANTLY however was the INCREDIBLE experience we had discovering Bosnia. The tour guide who was assigned to our group was incredibly knowledgeable and really helped us to connect to Bosnia, to both the land and especially with the people and their stories. This enriched our experience to no end and really was the highlight of our trip. Both young and the elders in our group all benefitted from this. The activities arranged by Halal Travel Guide further allowed us to explore and enjoy this beautiful country. This is the best trip we have taken with our family and we look forward to using Halal Travel Guide services again!

Guzel Istanbul

For context: I took the Istanbul Ladies Trip: I've been wanting to travel on my own for a very long time, and I'm happy to say that Halal Travel Guide not only made me feel safe on this trip, but fulfilled all my expectations. We learned about the history of the region, ate local food, prayed at every masjid, and even had time to explore the city on our own. Not only did the tour exceed my expectations, but the women I met on this trip really enhanced the experience. We even became friends with the tour guide!! All in all I had a wonderful time, and I'll be recominding HTG to any of my Muslim friends who wish to experince Islam in another country.

Our most memorable trip was to Bosnia with Halal Travel Guide. From the moment we landed, they took care of all our needs. We were able to enjoy the sites, history, culture, food and people while all the details were taken care of by our gracious team. The logistics of the transports were comfortable and smooth. The English speaking guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The activities were well planned to cater to our group and abilities. The attention to detail in choosing local non profits for our dining places was appreciated by all of us. We all felt like a family by the end of our trip. We have never felt so connected to a country as we did after traveling with Halal Travel Guide.

Enjoyed my trip to Singapore & Malaysia 2024

The trip to Singapore & Malaysia 2024, organized by HTG was outstanding from day one to the last day. the travel guide persons, Mr. Zahran was very responsible, and highly motivated from the beginning to the end of the tour. This was my first trip and highly recommend to every one. Every place we went such: Singapore, Langkawi, Penang, and Kuala Lumpur were very organized by Mr. Zahran. I had a very nice time and experience we our group. The most important things for me was that I was welcome like a family, and feel very safe every place that we visited. Bosnia was breathtaking

Bosnia was breathtaking! We experienced true Bosnian hospitality which stole my heart! Amazing country and amazing people! Alhumdullilah I made some amazing friends in this group of sisters! Our tour guide Selma was awesome! She made the trip so much fun and I learnt alot about the country & its history and got to witness the true beauty of the Bosnia! This was my first trip with HTG and inshallah I will do more. I would recommend to do the white water rafting...best day ever!!

Bosnia guided tour

We went on the Bosnia guided 4day tour. Despite traveling all the way from California we still felt like it was an excellent value as our schedule was packed and even my Bosnian coworker was surprised that we were able to make it to as many spots to visit. Very happy with our vacation and look forward to upcoming trips.

Hassle-free travel

Enjoyed an extremely satisfactory trip to Uzbekistan. We felt well looked after by our travel guide, Humoyun and his team. The food and logistics were well planned and any requests were listened to and accommodated where possible. The guides in Bukhara and Samarkand were interesting and knowledgeable and kept themselves up to date. Furthermore visiting the master craftsmen was a real privilege. Beautiful country, great company and hassle free travel.

Lifechanging experience

This was my first time travelling with Halal Travel Guide and I loved every second. It was incredibly organised and well managed, everyday was jam packed with activities. I went to Bosnia and met incredible people who made the trip special. Our tour guide Selma was also incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. She helped us enjoy the beautiful sights, culture and hospitality Bosnia has to offer. I'd recommend to anyone looking for an amazing holiday experience without the hassle

An unforgettable, well-planned, experience

We were looking for an experience for our 14 year old son and 15 year old daughter to honor and celebrate the end of our time at our beloved homeschooling co-op—an experience that would really tie together their knowledge and interest in both Islamic history and Islamic studies along with Islamic arts, crafts and culture. We came across your travel site from your husband's recommendations and after comparing various groups' itineraries, we selected yours. We are so glad we did! Alhumdullah! We cannot thank you enough for an amazing experience. The knowledge of our guides, the care and attention to detail, our time with Hoji Akbar and the ease with which we moved about from city to city, from the plane rides to the private drives to the train ride, all of it was so smooth and just phenomenal. Honestly one of the best trips EVER…

This was honestly one of the best trips I have EVER been on or a part of! Alhamdulillah the group was very well taken care of and accommodated for depending on our wants, needs, and potential desires - in terms of lodging, activities, programming, and overall experiences! The HTG team (shoutout Sr. Soumaya, Sr. Selma, Br. Sami!) did a phenomenal job in creating an environment where us travelers felt inclined to indulge in our curiosities, ask questions, critically think, and actively discuss the often overlooked Who? What? Why? How? questions that are so integral to a people's land, history, sense of self, sense of community, and a means of propelling the future. This trip was an amazing way of teaching the past, the contemporary, and the future potential for a country, for a people, and for an idea. For the reflectors in the group, there was ample opportunity to reflect; for the history buffs, we saw and heard about so much history; for the readers, there were books, articles, essays, and pieces referenced and suggested; for the adventurers and adrenaline junkies, there were so many outdoor activities to constantly be immersed in. All of this was juggled seamlessly, interwoven into each other, and each given its due share and space. While there was the exciting element for sure, the gravitas of the serious matters were also taken very seriously. HTG and its partners relayed the heavy matters with its due, making sure to also incorporate the modern elements of the struggles, injustices, and realities (ie modern impact, community healing, sociopolitical impacts, etc) with those of the many global struggles and realities. All in all, I am very grateful to have gone on this trip with HTG. I couldn't have asked for a trip better than this, and can't wait to join the next HTG trip!

Bosnia - spectacular geography and wonderful company

My mother and I had a wonderful time. The waterfalls were breathtaking and learning about Bosnia's rich history was very interesting. My mother has some mobility issues and can't hike far distances. Selma, our guide, was so accommodating and would try to find alternatives for her while also including her. Everything was seamless. From the airport pick-up to all of the excursions. They sincerely went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Our arrival flight was delayed and my mother and I arrived late. One of the Bosnian partners (Alem) came by our hotel very late to deliver dinner/food for us and refused to let us pay despite our insistence. It was so relaxing traveling on this pre-planned trip. The other ladies in our group were so fun and our group became quite close. I definitely want to travel with Halal Travel Guide again in the future.

Jordan, a dream

Jordan was breathtaking and completely surpassed my expectations. Both our tour leader Jihane and local guide Mays were wonderful. Jihane did great in keeping us in the loop and addressing any concerns while Mays' knowledge of her country and its history really ensured that we had the best, most enriching time possible. The full day at Petra was a real highlight and I appreciated that we had enough time to explore it as we saw fit. Another favourite was our day and night in Wadi Rum. The free stargazing experience that Ahmed, the owner of Rum Planet Camp, arranged for us was otherworldly. He pointed out the stars and constellations to us with such care and enthusiasm it felt like we were in the open-air classroom of a beloved teacher! Traveling with a group of ladies was inspiring and the camaraderie was wonderful. I was apprehensive as a solo traveler but I very quickly realised that my worries were unfounded when I met the rest of the ladies. I am really pleased and grateful that I had the opportunity to travel with HTG and I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

Amazing Uzbekistan

Our first trip with HTG to Uzbekistan was nothing short of excellent. From the time we expressed interest, Soumaya was diligent in answering all our queries and concerns. The itinerary was well planned and instead of going through the usual touristy path of only Samarkand & Bukhara, we were also taken off the beaten track and got to experience unique places like Aydar Lake and Chimgan mountains. Our local guide Humoyun was also knowledgeable and experienced. Throughout the journey we felt safe and well taken care of. We were blessed to have fellow travellers in our group that got along like somsa and choy.

Great guide very well organised the…

Great guide very well organised the only thing I would say is less time in retail outlets as they are quite expensive . Guides very knowledgeable and the fact that we were able to pray during the day when touring . The highlight was the cave of the seven sleepers but loved Wadi Musa and the camps

Favourite trip

Alhamdullilah! This trip was a dream come true holiday. The minute my sister and I landed at Dubrovnik airport, we were greeted by our tour guide Nadim! Throughout the trip he was warm, welcoming, humorous and very patient with us. The sceneries were breathtaking, lovely hotels and Soumaya and Samir were wonderful hosts. We were treated like family! This was one of my favourite trip and I will definitely return with the tour company!

A retreat of a lifetime in Cappadocia

I was searching for a halal way of experiencing adventure tours. Having found HTG on a Google search, I was mesmerised by the trip itineraries. One of the regions of Turkey I really wanted to visit was Cappadocia. Not only was I amazed by the breathtaking views of the region from the hot air balloon ride and quad biking, but the entire trip had a family vibe. Learning from Uncle Hassan (our amazing tour guide) who grew up in Cappadocia added a personal touch. Staying at the family-run Aren Cave hotel added a personal touch. Visiting potters and artists from the region added a personal touch. I felt like I was travelling with family and that's what travelling with HTG feels like. What a family holiday should be! Everything was organised brilliantly from the airport pick-ups and drop-offs to the activities, meals and hotel stay. I was really well looked after. Thank you Soumaya, Salma and team Halal Travel Guide for making this a retreat of a lifetime. Can't wait to go on another HTG tour soon!

3rd trip with HTG - this time to Jordan

Third trip with HTG but this one was a special one to end the year with. The trip was a road trip so be prepared to be travelling a lot and living out of the suitcase. However this is what made it adventurous for me, as we got a good sneak peek of the bustling capital, Bedouin desert experience and of course the historic site of Petra all in one week! This was culturally and spiritually fulfilling and as usual the host Soumaya provided a 5* service and hospitality throughout the entire trip. We had a really amazing group and I have met some wonderful people. My favourite was the Bedouin experience allowing me to connect with nature. Cannot wait to travel with HTG again.

Uzbekistan is a true hidden gem of Central Asia

Joined the Uzbekistan tour in June 2023. This tour was very well organised and flowed seamlessly. Even though there were a few changes to the itinerary due to the extreme heat, it felt like we didn't miss out on anything, every moment was filled with activities. The tour was fun and I was excited to see what each day brings and to my surprise it was always full of adventure. The tour guides were wonderful! I would like to especially thank Humoyun, who not only had the patience to deal with 7 extremely vibrant ladies but kept us safe throughout the whole trip. I will definitely be using Halal Travel Guide again for future trips. The islamic aspect of this tour was perfect, i felt spiritually closer to Allah and I was moved by the rich history that Uzbekistan has to offer. I would highly recommend this tour group and this tour, its such a beautiful country.

I travelled to Bosnia and Herzegovina…

I travelled to Bosnia and Herzegovina with the Halal Travel guide in summer 2019 and safe to say this was one of the best holiday experiences I’ve ever had. Everything was planned to the last detail and ran like clockwork. The local guide was very knowledgable and I feel we got to experience the true culture and heritage of the country. I recommend Halal Travel guide if you want to have a fun filled holiday which is all organised for you and all you have to do is enjoy!

Ramadan in Bosnia

Experiencing some of the blessed days of Ramadan in a majority-muslim society has been a dream of mine for years - and HTG’s Ramadan in Bosnia Tour realised this for me, alhamdulillah. It was an immersive, beautiful and deeply affecting experience. The locations we visited were serene, dramatic and steeped in history. We were blessed to be guided by an inspiring team who were great company and riveting story-tellers. Having the space and time to be in the beautiful masajid and soaking up the festive, lively and warm Ramadan atmosphere in the bustling streets after taraweeh has been truly special. Bosnia really is a must-visit destination and this was a fantastic introduction. JazaakumAllahu khaiyran and a heartfelt thank you, Soumaya and team - you got the balance just right. An unforgettable tour of wild Bosnia

Me and my sister went on a truly unforgettable hiking and camping tour of Bosnia with Halal Travel guide. From the moment we landed everything was super smooth and I can’t help but feel in awe at the effort put in by Sami and Soumaya to make sure the trip was jam-packed with memorable experiences. From the hotel with absolutely stunning views, breakfast, lunch and dinner, rafting along the beautiful nerteva river, hiking the prenj mountains, camping, stargazing I still can’t decide the highlight of the trip! Andalucia, Bosnia and planning my next HTG trip already!

TLDR: Best company I could've travelled with, the organisers are fantastic and choose the most amazing places to go to and the best tour guides. The groups are always fantastic and I can't wait to travel with them again iA! Having had an amazingg trip to Andalucia in Dec 22 I knew I would definitely travel with HTG again, I'm not a huge fan of history but even I loved this trip and learning about the Islamic history. Soumaya mentioned a hiking and camping holiday in Bosnia which was very up my street and I was so thrilled when she worked so hard to plan the trip in a short space of time! Bosnia was everything and more than I could've asked for- insanely good food, beautiful views from our resort, camping and hiking in the mountains was incredible and the HTG family and guides made me felt well looked after as solo female traveller. A Great experience Alhamdulillah

Firstly, i would like to thank Soumaya and HTG (may allah reward you with good) for creating this amazing trip that is full of adventures for the ladies only group. Uzbekistan is truly a hidden gem. Secondly, i have throughly enjoyed my time in all three of the cities we visited as part of the tour. The hotels were picked well and i was able to rest comfortably. Thirdly, all 3 (Mirafat - Tashkent, Sayyed - Samarkand and, Gulzhar - Bukahara) tour guides for all 3 cities were amazing. Each person was enthusiastic and engaging. I had so much fun touring with them. They made the trip a very memorable one. Fourtly, i just wanted to thank Homayoun (may allah reward you with good) for his guidance, sabr and protection. He was a great tour leader and a pleasure to travel with. Finally, i throughly enjoyed the culture, food, sight and the rich islamic history that Uzbekistan has to offer. I went on the travel trip to Bosnia and was very happy and satisfied with my trip. Everything was very planned, careful consideration was taken into account of everyone’s preference, they made sure we had the best authentic and cultural experience. It took away a lot of anxiety and hassle that goes into planning a holiday. We had a lovely guide, very informative and they made sure we were taken care of. Alhamdulila for a wonderful experience. Cappadocia retreat

I had such a wonderful time in Cappadocia and will treasure my memories from this trip for a very long time. This was my first ever trip abroad and I'm grateful that I was able to join a group of lovely Muslimahs on the adventure. Soumaya was an amazing host who would go above and beyond to make sure we were all looked after and content. I felt constantly reassured, and despite this initially being a nerve-wracking endeavour for me, Soumaya would boost my confidence and make me feel at ease. The itinerary was full of a variety of activities with the group that heavily focussed on the culture and history of Cappadocia, but we were also given the evenings to wind down or explore the area ourselves. I've crossed out things from a bucket list before i even finished writing one! I feel honoured to have been a part of this unforgettable trip and hope to travel with HTG again.

Bosnia - Chasing waterfalls

I went on the Chasing Waterfalls trip to Bosnia in early August 2023. I'm so glad I went with HTG, as I would have missed seeing and doing so much if I had planned my trip. The trip was well-organised with lots to do! We spent the right amount of time at each destination; there was a good balance between guided tours and being able to do things on your own. My only criticism is regarding the day we took the train from Mostar to Sarajevo - Nothing wrong with the Journey; it was picturesque- 110% worth it! Once we reached Sarajevo, we got on the coach and went to the old town to start our tour. The group could have done with a 30-minute loo/refreshment break before the tour began. The tour guide was excellent and informative - he was also very accommodating and could sense that we needed a refreshment break; however, this cut down our tour time as we had to get to lunch. Overall, I had a fantastic time and met many like-minded sisters! My trip with HTG will always be Cherished <3

Uzbekistan and Bosnia

I was booked for the Uzbekistan and Bosnia tours and was incredibly excited. Soumaya was so helpful from the start, allaying my fears of a Muslim woman travelling alone, trying to partner up my travel dates with other single ladies to hang with, answering my numerous questions...all with patience! I was sad that the covid outbreak meant I had to ask for a refund but this was given very promptly and I'm looking forward to joining the tours again. The customer service was excellent from the start and I'm looking forward to their online tours; a bit innovation during this period!

Jordan trip

Bosnia trip October 2021

I have been wanting to go to Bosnia with Halal Travel Guide from last year and actually booked my initial trip in April 2020 but it was cancelled due to the pandemic and I was able to get refunded back, which Soumya made possible with ease. Alhamdullilah Allah made it possible for me to travel this October 2021 with Halal Travel Guide and SubhanaAllah what a beautiful wonderful experience. I can not imagine seeing Bosnia without Soumaya and Nedim as tour guides. They made the experience even more special and wonderful. It was such a Hassel free tour, the group was wonderful, made friends for life for sure. A fantastic travelling experience!

This was my first trip with HTG and it was an amazing experience. Soumaya had meticulously planned the trip to every detail and I enjoyed every minute of my stay. Cappadocia is a lovely place with beautiful landscapes and lots of fun activities to take part in. The HTG ensured our stay included as many experiences as possible, from hot air ballooning to horse riding and walks in the valleys. Our trip supported the local business community and it was lovely interacting with the locals to learn more about the area and it’s fascinating history. Highly recommend the HTG group and Soumaya for creating a full travelling experience.

Wonderful Uzbekistan

Where to start and what to say! Uzbekistan is an absolutely stunning country which is so underrated from Tashkent to khiva to Bukhara and Samarkand to name a few….. to our wonderful guide who was incredibly thoughtful, humorous and knowledgeable along with having the patience with us, from meeting more wonderful ladies on this trip, I can’t wait to come back. Again if your thinking about visiting Uzbekistan do the 10 days it’s highly worth it and you won’t regret it.

When I was a child, my parents told me about what happened in Bosnia in the 90’s. Since then this country has always stuck in my head. Alhamdullilah, I managed to get some time off work to visit this amazing country and wouldn't have chosen any other company to go with. Halal Travel Guide have years of experience and that was evident throughout the course of the trip. They focus on real life story telling which impacts your heart greatly. I’ve been with many tour companies before and they are usually very demanding with lots in the itinerary. However, HTG had the perfect balance which me and my wife loved. Bosnia Winter Break Tour

My perception of Bosnia is a small, quaint European city. Our knowledgeable tour guide, Almir, started our trip in Old Town Sarajevo and took us throughout the country. We visited forests, olympic village and Mostar town. The country has many winding river waterfalls which are peaceful and beautiful. Taking a cable car up to the hiking trails showed beautiful landscapes of the city down below. I liked that the package price was as promised and included hotel breakfasts, tasty dinners, and tours. Hotel was nice, clean, and friendly staff. This tour is for those looking for a quaint, historic, halal, Islamic experience. I am ready for another experience and would recommend Halal Travel Guide.

Bosnia Chasing Waterfalls

Eid al Fitr at Bosnia

As someone who travels frequently, I have to say the team at Halal travel guide did a phenomenal job!!! Starting with the ease of reservation, the, airport pickup, to luxury transportation, the local tour guide team, the amazing itinerary, and the spot on recommendation when it comes to food, and finally with the airport drop offs. Granada - Córdoba - Sevilla Tour

Me and my sister went on the Andalucian tour. From the moment we landed to the moment we left the trip was faultless and our guide Abdal Qadir was super accommodating to everyone with helpful tips, local knowledge aswell as amazing insights into the Islamic history of the place! CAPPADOCIA TRIP MAY-JUNE 2022

I recently went to Turkey (Cappadocia) with HTG and loved every minute of the trip. It was really well thought out and planned. From the moment we arrived at the airport there was already someone waiting for us to get us to the hotel safely. Soumaya was excellent as a host. And she had her little assistant ( her daughter) who started very entertaining dinner talks 🤣. There was a hot air balloon experience that was spectacular. I would definitely recommend this. I think everyone would enjoy it 😉.

Jordan - Wouldn't recommend

I personally wouldn't recommend this company. There were numerous issues during the trip. In my opinion, there was no real ownership of these by the organisers, no apology offered for one of the items not even going ahead (a refund of £50 was paid - but some members had to be proactive in getting this back), and a distinct feeling of the issues being deflected back on the group. Some of the group were vocal in their complaint both during the trip and after but it was the same copy and paste response. Some of us became really unwell (which continued after we returned) because we had to wait in sopping wet clothes for a few hours for a rogue member of the group who decided to just go off on her own, when we could have quite easily gone on our way.

Uzbekistan tour

It was a well planned tour, very professional and friendly tourguides. Overload of plov! But it was yummy, my favourite was the Samarkand plov. The masterclass was very disappointing as the Master himself couldn’t come and his students shown their talents, which is amazing but I didn’t think it was worth it. We still had time to do our own thing which was awesome. But all the sights was breathtaking.

Amazing Experience

Halal Travel Guide went above and beyond to create a wonderful memorable trip to Bosnia. The itinerary was perfectly designed, the tour guide was great and as a Muslim women the tour gave so many opportunities for fun including horse riding, ladies only swimming, and sledding. We chose the option to go skiing but as the weather wasn't right for it, HTG organised for us to go sledding as an alternative...it was epic! I highly recommend them.

My 3rd trip with HTG to end the year…

My 3rd trip with HTG to end the year was to Jordan. Like the previous trips this one also was an experiance I will never forget. Our guide Abu Omar was an excellent guide and an interesting person to listen to. Ahmed our host at Rum Planet Camp was also an exceptional person and very welcoming. Everyone in Jordan made us feel very welcome and like family. My favourite experiance was camping in Wadi Rum and learning about the stars. The 4X4 desert ride was also a very fun experiance. I liked that we were given free time on the last day to explore downtown Amman. I was lucky to be a part of a good group, which made the experiance that much more better.
