Springsteen announced the dates for his 2023 European tour in May, explaining on SiriusXM’s E Street Radio that after nearly five years off the road it was time for him to get the band back together. “It’s kind of mind boggling to be honest with you… IT doesn’t feel that long, but,  you know, we stayed busy over that time, but still it’s, I’m really, I’ve got the Jones to play live very badly at this point,” Springsteen said of getting back at it with the band for the first time since they recorded 2020’s  Letter to You  album. “So, I’m deeply looking forward to getting out there in front of our fans.”

The group is gearing up to hit the road for the first time since the conclusion of their 14-month global River Tour, which kicked off in 2016. According to a release announcing the new dates, since the 2023 European dates were announced in May more than 1.2 million tickets have already been sold. After the end of the European run — scheduled for April-July 2023 — the band will begin a second as-yet-unannounced string of North American shows in August; tour dates in the UK are also slated for next year, with the details to be announced soon.

Bruce Springsteen Announces 2023 US Tour With the E Street Band

Bruce Springsteen has unveiled 2023 U.S. tour dates with the E Street Band .

The trek kicks off Feb. 1 in Tampa before making its way through such major cities as Houston, Cleveland and New York City . Following an April 14 performance in Newark, N.J., the Boss will head overseas for a run of previously announced European dates .

A full list of U.S. tour dates can be found below.

Tickets for the 2023 U.S. shows will go on sale over the next two weeks, with the first sale date happening on July 20. The tour will use Ticketmaster's Verified Fan program; fans can register now through July 17 to be eligible for ticket purchasing. All verified registrants will be equally eligible to receive a purchasing access code, though registration does not guarantee code access and the subsequent ticket purchase.

More information on tickets can be found on Springsteen's website .

The trek will be Springsteen’s first with the E Street Band since 2017. In a statement released when the European dates were announced, the Boss shared his excitement to return to the road.

“After six years, I’m looking forward to seeing our great and loyal fans next year," Springsteen declared. "And I’m looking forward to once again sharing the stage with the legendary E Street Band. See you out there, next year — and beyond!”

Springsteen’s last performance with the E Street Band took place more than five years ago in Auckland, New Zealand. Since then, he's engaged in his massively successful Springsteen on Broadway residency, which included more than 250 performances and ranked among the most profitable tours of the past half-decade.

More recently, Springsteen has made a habit of making surprise appearances onstage with a variety of other rockers. In June, he joined Coldplay for two songs during the band’s concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. A little over a week later, he took the stage with Paul McCartney during McCartney's concert at the same venue. Then on June 25, he joined McCartney again — along with Dave Grohl  — during Macca’s headlining set at the Glastonbury festival in the U.K.

On Springsteen tour, Asbury Park elegy 'My City of Ruins' takes on new life in San Diego

2 minute read.

bruce springsteen tour 2023 konzert dauer

It's from Asbury Park — with love.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band performed the 2023-24 tour debut of “My City of Ruins” at the March 25 Pechanga Arena show in San Diego.

The song, originally written for the then-blighted Asbury Park more than 20 years ago, has taken on several meanings over the years. In San Diego, the Springsteen spoken intro for the gospel-tinged elegy suggests it's now a declaration of the current tour's theme: facing mortality with a rock 'n' roll heart.

“We are here tonight to bring the joyous power of rock and soul music into your life,” said Springsteen during the intro while the music slow-burned in the background (check out the Aisles Music Visions fan shot video on YouTube ). “We are here to wake you, to shake you, to take you to higher ground! But the thing is, we can't get there by ourselves. We need your help! We need you to help us get there! Are you ready! Because I plan on sending you home with your feet hurting, your hands hurting, your sexual organs stimulated.”

Yet Springsteen shows have a higher calling than just the desire of the flesh.

“Of course, we got a story to tell,” Springsteen continued. “It's a story about yesterday and about tonight, and hopefully tomorrow. It's about hellos and goodbyes. It's about the things that leave us and the things that remain. That's a lot of ground to cover so it may take a little time, so let's get started.”

The arrangement performed on Monday highlighted members of the E Street Horns: Curt Ramm and Barry Danielian on trumpet, Eddie Manion on sax, and Ozzie Melendez on trombone. E Streeter Jake Clemons joined in on sax.

The song also frames the E Street Choir: Anthony Almonte, Curtis King, Michelle Moore, Lisa Lowell and Ada Dyer.

Springsteen did a roll call and introduced band members toward the end of the song.

“Are we missing anybody? Are we missing anybody? Everybody's missing somebody,” Springsteen said. “The only thing I can guarantee tonight is if you're here and we're here, then they're here.”

The Boss debuted “My City of Ruins” in December 2000 at Convention Hall in Asbury Park. The San Diego concert also featured the tour debuts to “Death of my Hometown,” “Detroit Medley” and “Bobby Jean”.

Up next is the Chase Center in San Francisco on Thursday, March 28. Springsteen and the E Street Band play Asbury Park on Sept. 15, part of the Sea Hear Now festival.

Jetlag? What jetlag?

Bruce Springsteen certainly seemed no worse for wear after making two quick cross-country flights over the last few days before playing what turned out to be a dynamite show at Chase Center in San Francisco on Thursday.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer performed Monday in San Diego then zoomed back East to make a guest appearance (with fellow troubadour Maggie Rogers) at a show by country star Zach Bryan at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Wednesday night.

Then it was right back to the West Coast in time to play the first of two sold-out shows at the home of the Golden State Warriors.

The next gig is on Sunday, which gives Springsteen time to — oh, I don’t know — perhaps fly to Kauai for fish tacos before returning to Chase for Night 2.

And if he does decide to do just that, well, you can rest assured that he’ll still deliver the goods for Bay Area fans on Easter Sunday.

That’s why he’s The Boss.

The 74-year-old Springsteen was in nothing short of legendary form as he led his mighty E Street Band through a 29-song show that absolutely captivated the approximately 16,500 fans in attendance for three hours.

He’d draw from a wide selection of his songbook, touching upon 11 of his studio albums. There were a few debuts for this 2024 tour — which, granted, is only a few dates old at this point — as well as the favorites fans can pretty much expect to hear at every Springsteen show these days.

Backed by 17 people onstage — including a versatile horn section and excellent backing vocalists — the bandleader opened the show right around 7:45 p.m. with “Something in the Night,” one of five songs that he’d pull from the classic 1978 platter “Darkness on the Edge of Town.”

The song — which was being played live for the first time on this tour — proved to be a bit of a mellow starter, but things would quickly heat up as The Boss turned to 2002’s “The Rising” for a powerful version of “Lonesome Day.”

The next two offerings, “Ghosts” and “Two Hearts,” were both solid, but the show reached a whole new level when Springsteen and company unleashed “Prove It All Night.” The tune, another “Darkness on the Edge of Town” standout, featured the first prominent sax work from Jake Clemons (who is the nephew of the late E Street legend Clarence Clemons) as well as some really aggressive and muscular guitar playing from the bandleader himself.

They’d keep the party rolling in high gear with the defiant “Born in the U.S.A.” anthem “No Surrender” before thrilling the audience with the tour debut of “Atlantic City,” delivering a full-band version that shared the lyrics — and not much else — with the stark solo recording originally found on 1982’s “Nebraska.”

Springsteen’s voice was on point throughout the night, showing no signs of the medical condition that originally forced him to postpone these Chase shows — which were originally scheduled for last December — as well as other dates. The star did bring up the subject about 80 minutes into the show, which was first time he paused to really talk to the crowd all evening.

“My belly hurt so bad, I couldn’t sing,” explained Springsteen, who underwent treatment for peptic ulcer disease. “Every time I went to sing, my belly ached. When I went to do anything, my belly ached. Then it ached some more. So, we couldn’t make it. But I’m glad to be back tonight.”

The last third of the main set was all A-list material, as the singer rolled through “Backstreets,” “Because the Night,” “She’s the One,” “Wrecking Ball,” “The Rising” and “Badlands” before closing, some 130 minutes after he started the show, with the always-popular “Thunder Road.”

The 18 musicians would take their well-deserved bows, but then, instead of leaving the stage, it was right back to business as they rolled through a generous encore highlighted by “Land of Hope and Dreams” (another tour debut), “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” and, of course, “Born to Run.”

“San Francisco!” Springsteen exclaimed as the encore drew to a close. “I want you to go home tonight and then I want you to wake up tomorrow morning and I want you to tell everybody that you see that you that you’ve just seen the heart-stopping, pants-dropping, earth-shocking, hard-rocking, booty-shaking, earth-quaking, love-making, Viagra-taking, history-making legendary E Street Band.”

Consider it done, Boss.

VIDEO: The best of Jeremy Allen White

Jeremy Allen White is "in talks to star" in "Deliver Me From Nowhere," an upcoming film about the making of Bruce Springsteen's 1982 album, "Nebraska," according to a press release.

It's unclear what role the Emmy Award winner of "The Bear" will play, but the film will be based on the 2023 book, "Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen's Nebraska," by Warren Zanes and will be directed and written by Scott Cooper, according to a press release about the new project.

"Warren Zanes' 'Deliver Me From Nowhere' is one of the best books ever written about Bruce Springsteen and his music," Springsteen's longtime manager Jon Landau said in a statement shared in the press release. "Bruce and I are thrilled that Scott Cooper has chosen to write and direct the film based on that book – we think he's the perfect filmmaker for the job."

"Scott, with Producers Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson at The Gotham Group, and Scott Stuber are bringing together a superb team to ensure that this project has the vision and soul that have been the hallmark of Bruce's 55-year career," Landau continued. "We're thrilled to have the wholehearted commitment and support of the entire team at 20th and Disney."

"Nebraska" was Springsteen's sixth solo album, which was recorded on a 4-track recorder. It followed his previous album, "The River."

The album included the songs "Atlantic City," "Johnny 99," "State Trooper" and more.

As a filmmaker, Cooper said that Springsteen has had a "profound impact on me and my work."

"Through themes of despair, disillusionment, and the struggles of everyday Americans, Bruce has formed an unparalleled legacy, painting an unflinching portrait of the human condition," he continued. "Yet, amidst the darkness, a sense of resilience and a sense of hope shines through, reflecting an indomitable spirit."

"That's the Bruce I've come to know and love and will honor with this film," Cooper said. "Warren Zanes' wonderful telling of this chapter in Bruce's life is ripe for cinematic adaptation. This film has the potential to be a transformative cinematic experience, offering audiences a window into the soul of Bruce Springsteen and the universal truths that bind us all together."

Bruce Springsteen announces rescheduled U.S. dates after ulcers halted tour

Bruce Springsteen performs on stage.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be back on the street soon enough. After recently pushing back all of his remaining concerts for 2023 due to a health issue , Springsteen’s camp has announced the makeup dates for the rescheduled shows set to take place in 2024.

The new dates come in two clumps — a month-long swing taking place in mid-March through mid-April, followed by a second month’s worth of shows in mid-August through mid-September.

This rollout of dates represents all the U.S. dates that Springsteen put off. He has not yet revealed the makeup dates for the Canadian shows that were also recently postponed, but those makeup gigs are set to be revealed next week, the announcement says.

The new U.S. dates are as follows:

March 19 — Phoenix, AZ @ Footprint Center (rescheduled from Nov. 30, 2023)

March 25 — San Diego, CA @ Pechanga Arena (rescheduled from Dec. 2, 2023)

March 28 — San Francisco, CA @ Chase Center (rescheduled from Dec. 10, 2023)

April 15 — Albany, NY @ MVP Arena (rescheduled from Sept. 19, 2023)

April 18 — Syracuse, NY @ JMA Wireless Dome (rescheduled from Sept. 7, 2023)

April 21 — Columbus, OH @ Nationwide Arena (rescheduled from Sept. 21, 2023)

Aug. 15 — Pittsburgh, PA @ PPG Paints Arena (rescheduled from (Sept. 12, 2023)

Aug. 21 — Philadelphia, PA @ Citizens Bank Park (rescheduled from Aug. 16, 2023)

Aug. 23 — Philadelphia, PA @ Citizens Bank Park (rescheduled from Aug. 18, 2023)

Sept. 7 — Washington, DC @ Nationals Park (rescheduled from Sept. 29, 2023)

Sept. 13 — Baltimore, MD @ Oriole Park at Camden Yards (rescheduled from Sept. 9, 2023)

The announcement said that all tickets for the postponed shows remain valid for the new dates. Information about refunds for anyone not able to make the rescheduled concerts is available through the companies that originally issued the tickets. It was previously announced, when the gigs were first postponed, that ticketholders would have 30 days to request a refund after the new dates were revealed.

The revelation that Springsteen would be putting off all his shows for the remainder of 2023 came on Sept. 27. “Bruce Springsteen has continued to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks and will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor’s advice,” that announcement said.

The first sign of trouble came when Springsteen missed gigs in Philadelphia on Aug, 16 and 18, bowing out because of an illness that was not revealed at the time. Those two shows were immediately rescheduled for August 2024. He returned to the road, briefly. Then, on Sept. 6, Springsteen postponed the nine remaining shows he had set for September, and at that time revealed the peptic ulcer diagnosis. It would be another three weeks before the news came that his recovery would take longer than expected and the towel was thrown in on the rest of the dates, which were originally to have concluded Dec. 12 in San Francisco.

Bruce Springsteen 'literally couldn't sing at all' while dealing with peptic ulcer disease

bruce springsteen tour 2023 konzert dauer

Bruce Springsteen 's bout with peptic ulcer disease made him doubt whether he'd ever sing again.

The Boss said as much on SiriusXM's E Street Radio with Jim Rotolo in an interview that aired Thursday.

“I had the stomach problem and one of the big problems was I couldn't sing,” Springsteen, 74, said. “You sing with your diaphragm. You know, my diaphragm was hurting so badly that when I went to make the effort to sing it was killing me. So I literally couldn't sing at all. That lasted for two or three months.”

In September, the legendary rocker announced the E Street Band's shows that month would be postponed so he could treat his symptoms from peptic ulcer disease. A few weeks later, he rescheduled shows for the remainder of the year.

“During the course of it before people told me 'Oh, it's going to go away' and 'You're going to be OK,'" Springsteen told the radio station.

“You're thinking like, 'Hey, am I going to sing again?' This is one of the things I love to do the best, the most, and right now I can't do it. I found some great doctors and they straightened me out, and I can't do anything but thank them."

Things may have been straightened out, but not before Springsteen's health issues came to a head at the Foxborough, Massachusetts, and East Rutherford, New Jersey, shows in late August and early September.

“The last four shows, I was playing really ill,” Springsteen said. “So that was Foxborough, which was a great show, and the three Meadowlands shows, which were all, really, the band playing at its best and in front of a great New Jersey audience and a great Boston audience. But I was really not well.

“I had a little medication in me that got me up there and kept me up there for the rest of the night. You know, once you’re onstage, you’re letting it go, no matter what. You’re playing as hard as you can and they ended up being great shows. But I knew, when I came off after the last Meadowlands show, that’s the last one while I’m sick.”

Bruce Springsteen 2024 setlist: Every song he sang at the world tour relaunch in Phoenix

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band's rescheduled 2024 shows mark 'a new tour'

The Springsteen and E Street Band tour last year was marked by several postponements.

Two shows at Citizens Bank Ballpark last August were postponed due to the Boss “having been taken ill,” according to Springsteen's social media handles. Three other 2023 shows — March 9 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio; March 12 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut; and March 14 at the MVP Arena in Albany, New York — were also postponed due to an undisclosed illness.

All the shows have been rescheduled .

The 2023 tour was also marked by the illness of band members due to COVID-19. Steven Van Zandt, Nils Lofgren, Jake Clemons, Soozie Tyrell and Lisa Lowell all missed shows.

“When we first started that tour, every night somebody else was out. So I go into soundcheck and I have to find out who's missing and then I have to rearrange the stage or all of the arrangements of the songs to cover for that person,” Springsteen said. “Eddie Manion stepped up and covered for Jake Clemens on the saxophone. I brought Anthony Almonte to the front when Steve (Van Zandt) couldn't make it. Nils (Lofgren) couldn't make it another night. Susie (Tyrell) missed another night, Lisa (Lowell) — I mean it was just one after another.

"The only thing, we were blessed was Max (Weinberg) didn't fall. Garry (Tallent) didn't fall. Your rhythm section. And our two keyboardists were there. So as long as we had those people we could do a show.”

Springsteen is viewing the 2024 tour as a new tour and not an extension of the 2023 tour. That means more flexibility with the setlists, he said.

“There will be some things from last year's tour that will hold over some of my basic themes of mortality and life and those things I'm going to keep in the set, but I think I'm going to move around the other parts a lot more. So there’ll be a much wider song selection going on," he said.

Springsteen and the E Street Band relaunched the tour March 19 in Phoenix; the tour has 52 shows scheduled through November 2024.

Bruce Springsteen Jokes About His Postponed Tour on ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’

By Tomás Mier

Bruce Springsteen is in his acting era. The Boss joined Larry David on Sunday’s episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm . In the episode, Springsteen blames the cancelation of one of his “farewell” shows on David giving him Covid.

During the episode, Springsteen meets with David to talk about the cranky comedian’s activism in Atlanta. (This season, David is awaiting trial in Georgia for offering water to a voter outside of a polling place.) After a brief discussion about restaurant health inspection grades over breakfast, the singer and David find themselves in a back-and-forth about whose water glass is whose. Springsteen later tests positive for Covid, forcing the singer to cancel his farewell show. Naturally, Springsteen blames David (and the water glass incident) for the show’s cancelation on social media, causing his fans to attack the comedian.

Springsteen then later postponed numerous tour dates due to his treatment (and recovery) for peptic ulcer disease. He eventually began his rescheduled tour on March 19 and has shows planned through the summer.

The new episode with Springsteen marks the HBO series’ second-to-last episode ever. Springsteen also made a cameo in an earlier episode this season, titled “The Lawn Jockey.”

Bruce Springsteen, Jeremy Allen White

“Deliver Me From Nowhere,” the upcoming film about the making of Bruce Springsteen ‘s landmark 1982 “Nebraska” album, has landed at 20th Century Studios.

“The Bear” star Jeremy Allen White is in talks to star as the legendary rocker. Scott Cooper (“Crazy Heart,” “Hostiles”) will write and direct the film, which is based on Warren Zane’s 2023 book “Deliver Me from Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska.”

The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein (“The Maze Runner” trilogy) and Eric Robinson, Cooper, Zanes and Scott Stuber are producers. Production on the film is expected to begin this fall.

Bruce Springsteen and his longtime manager Jon Landau will be involved with the film. “It is a once-in-a-lifetime honor to be collaborating with Bruce Springsteen, an inspiring and incomparable artist who represents so much to so many,” said Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios president David Greenbaum. “The deep authenticity of his story is in great hands with my friend Scott Cooper whom I am thrilled to be collaborating with once again.”

“Warren Zanes’ ‘Deliver Me From Nowhere’ is one of the best books ever written about Bruce Springsteen and his music,” said Landau. “Bruce and I are thrilled that Scott Cooper has chosen to write and direct the film based on that book — we think he’s the perfect filmmaker for the job. Scott, with producers Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson at The Gotham Group, and Scott Stuber are bringing together a superb team to ensure that this project has the vision and soul that have been the hallmark of Bruce’s 55-year career. We’re thrilled to have the wholehearted commitment and support of the entire team at 20th and Disney.”

“I once read that ‘Nebraska’ is an album that moves you to the marrow of your bones. I couldn’t agree more,” says Cooper. “Bruce Springsteen, and   ‘Nebraska,’ in particular, have had a profound impact on me and my work. Through themes of despair, disillusionment, and the struggles of everyday Americans, Bruce has formed an unparalleled legacy, painting an unflinching portrait of the human condition. Yet, amidst the darkness, a sense of resilience and a sense of hope shines through, reflecting an indomitable spirit. That’s the Bruce I’ve come to know and love and will honor with this film. Warren Zanes’ wonderful telling of this chapter in Bruce’s life is ripe for cinematic adaptation. This film has the potential to be a transformative cinematic experience, offering audiences a window into the soul of Bruce Springsteen and the universal truths that bind us all together.”

Scott Cooper is repped by CAA and attorney Darren Trattner of Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer Mandelbaum Morris Bernstein Trattner & Klein. The Gotham Group’s Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Eric Robinson are represented by CAA and attorney George Davis. Bruce Springsteen is repped by Landau, Grubman Shire Meiselas & Sacks; Warren Zanes by CAA. Scott Stuber is repped by attorney Craig Jacobson of Hanson, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman, Newman, Warren, Richman, Rush, Kaller & Gellman.

Bruce Springsteen Digs Deep at First Los Angeles Show in Eight Years

S ay this for Bruce Springsteen : 2024 is already a much better year than 2023. His first tour with the E Street Band since 2017 began last February in Tampa, Fl., with fans still grumbling over a dynamic ticket pricing fiasco , and was criticized because the set lists were too rigid compared to years past. Far more worrisome was the Boss having to postpone a huge swath of shows last fall while recovering from a peptic ulcer.

Thankfully, Springsteen is back on the road, fresh off a memorable cameo as a fictional version of himself on Curb Your Enthusiasm in a plot involving him getting COVID from Larry David and having to cancel his fictional farewell tour. Nobody knows when or if the Boss, 74, will hang it up for real, so just having an opportunity to be in the man’s presence for a few hours carries a bit of extra weight these days.

So it was last night (April 5) at Springsteen’s first show at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum in 22 years — certainly a more favorable venue than the demolished L.A. Sports Arena, which he lovingly referred to as “the dump that jumped.” Vowing that this stretch of shows, which began last month in Phoenix, would have a more diverse set list, Springsteen opened by covering John Lee Hooker’s blues powerhouse “Boom Boom” for the first time since 2016. It set the tone for the rest of the night, with material from more recent albums such as 2020’s Letter to You and the 2022 soul covers project Only the Strong Survive sharing space with songs not played in years, such as the crowd-requested “Jole Blon” and Jimmy Cliff’s “Trapped.”

Jumping off from the themes of his hugely successful one-man Broadway show, Springsteen seems focused on life and mortality on this tour. An emotional centerpiece of the show was “Last Man Standing,” his tribute to George Theiss, the last living bandmate in his childhood band the Castles, and the heaviness of that moment imbued different meanings to other early tracks. Among them was “Backstreets.” Once an anthem of the youthful exuberance of friendship and the fearlessness of conquering the world when you have your whole life in front of you, it’s now a fond nostalgic look back at the good times that were.

Usually, when Springsteen plays in Southern California, a special guest or two can be expected. In years past, that has meant Social Distortion’s Mike Ness or Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello. Last night, it was Springsteen’s wife, Patti Scialfa, also a longtime E Street Band member. Though her on-stage appearances have been more sporadic in recent years, she was a welcome presence, trading vocals on Tunnel of Love ‘s “Tougher Than the Rest” and an acoustic version of the Pointer Sisters’ cover of Springsteen’s “Fire.” Both songs hadn’t been performed since the Broadway run in 2017, and Springsteen quipped that it was actually her first time singing the latter.

Throughout, the show was loose and casual, but never sloppy, and battle-tested songs such as “Badlands,” “The Promised Land,” “Hungry Heart” (imagine if Bruce ended up giving that one to the Ramones like he intended to?) and “Rosalita” kept the crowd on their collective feet. “Because the Night” shone with Nils Lofgren’s shredding guitar solo, and there continues to be an unspoken chemistry with Jake Clemons, who has more than ably taken the baton from his late uncle, the beloved Clarence “Big Man” Clemons, drummer Max Weinberg, and Springsteen consigliere “Little” Steven Van Zandt, who all adapt in the blink of an eye to the spontaneity long a hallmark of Springsteen’s live performances.

Unlike previous tours, the dates on the 2024 jaunt are more spread out, and the five-day break from the previous show in San Francisco clearly served Springsteen well. Moving all over the stage, he high-fived audience members and even ventured into the crowd during the encore staple “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out.”

At this point in his career, Springsteen doesn’t owe anybody anything. He’s wildly wealthy (he sold his catalog for a cool $500 million), famous and his legacy is amongst the most important in rock history. Yet here he was, hauling ass on stage, performing with a band which has been making it look easy for 50 years. The theme of glory days in the rearview mirror loomed large, but if Springsteen fears what the future holds, it wasn’t apparent on this night. Laughing, joking and rocking with the prowess of a man half his age, Springsteen clearly isn’t ready to throw in the towel quite yet.
