Z Trip Review:

When we first reviewed Z Trip, it was the taxi industry’s answer to Uber and Lyft. it simply offered an app that allowed you to book a taxi like you would a ride share driver.

But when we went back to update our review in January of 2023, the company was a different animal. Now, it essentially requires that you lease a vehicle from the company to drive with Z Trip. The site says it takes care of your maintenance, and gives you the benefit of saving your own car from the heavy wear-and-tear of rideshare driving.

While rideshare driving is tough on your car, this company’s leases are expensive. And drivers still pay for their own gas.

This now appears to be one of the least attractive options in an industry that’s not known for great choices.

How it works

Officially, you work for yourself through this app. While rides are arranged through Z trip, riders can pay in cash you want. You don’t pay the app for processing payments or doing your marketing. If the rider pays via credit card, Z Trip will process the payment and pay you within a few days of completing the trip.

But you’re likely to pay so much to lease a Z Trip vehicle that it can be tough to make a living. Uber and Lyft have also occasionally arranged leases for their drivers. These are almost always terrible deals.

If you have your own car, which gets great mileage, you may be able to make a decent living with ride share — if you’re strategic about when and where you drive. When you don’t own your own car, ride share is a terrible way to make a living. The costs are high; the competition is stiff; and the hours are long.

Recommendations

Notaly, Z Trip is one of the few apps that’s panned by drivers and customers alike. Reviews at both app stores, as well as Indeed and other job-rating sites say this is an “opportunity” you should pass up.

Better-rated driving apps include Lyft , Wingz and DoorDash .

If you have a truck and are willing to drive it around to help people move, check out  GoShare , which offers high hourly pay.

Daily rentals are normally around $115 a day which means you’ll have to make $115 to pay your vehicle lease before you see any money. Then, you still have to pay for your own fuel. Couple that with the fact that no taxes are withheld and you’ll have to pay taxes out of pocket and you’re looking at a total loss.

You pay high dollar for car it’s always broke. We always have to pay in advance for your rental leases, yet you get paid in two or three days out for your work. Seems you’re always in the hole.

Better options

Unless you can’t read or write , there are a million better companies that know what their doing. Street Bums make more than I was able.

You just have to drive 12+ hours everyday, and lease is very expensive. But if you are willing to drive that many hours 7 days a week this is the perfect job for you.

You are paying more to the lease of $80 a day for the vehicle plus you have to pay your own gas! So in reality you’re putting more of your money towards the car than you will ever take home. They promise a lot but you never can count on it. Super unreliable place to work! Please avoid this place like the plague…

The omaha market i applied at is still putting drivers in wrecked old beat up chevy impala with happy taxi logos nothing about z trip seems scetchy to me i tried it but decided ti just keep using my personal car for uber i have no desire to drive a bright yellow taxi i only applied at z trip because i like the image of the nice cars z trip bought but at this moment they still use taxi cars my experience wasnt what i expected at all my car didnt even take gas it took cng which have nothing but issues so i returned the car they lost a ghid hustling driver in my opinion i drive 14-16 hr days with my uber app on 7 days a week

You pay $95 a day for the lease, which seems like a lot, but it’s really not considering how much you make per day. The daily lease is what pushes a lot of people away, but if you put in the hours and work you can easily pull in $300 a day. $300 – $95 is still $205 per day. If you can work even 5 days a week that’s making a little over 1g a week, 4g a month. Work 7 days a week and you’re making almost 6g. If you own a car and use it as your cab, the daily lease gets knocked down to $50 a day. The potential to make really good money is 100% up to you. You can work up to 16hrs a day or 80hrs a week. Not to mention, ever person you refer to the job, you make $5 every day they work. Just another way to lower your lease and make even more money. You create an LLC when you join, so network your business. Advertise your business and get people to work under you. The freedom you get by making your own hours and dictating your pay is amazing. I highly recommend zTrip for anyone who loves driving and making money.

In Colorado time restriction to 12 hour days. Lucky to get 240 a day minus the 90 a day plus if u work 10 plus hours.a day that’s about 50 bucks minus as well at 3.50 a gallon

I worked for ztrip last year and i slaved 14 to 18 hour days and the rides are so inconsistent and the fact that your still in a beat up taxi cab And you still have to pay $500 a week regardless if you made $500 a week the 1st week you work there you make and they credit you and you only pay 365 but you only have 3 days to make that amount this is not a job many people could do and especially if you have small children as life will get in the way so much that you don’t end up making any money at all

I have an interview with ztrip and there is two things I want to know first let me say someone I know worked for ztrip and told me that passengers would run out without paying is this true and if that happens what do a ztrip driver suppose to do? second do we have to pay up front a few to use they vehicle? I’m just a customer that tried to make an early morning reservation to go for hospital surgery via the app (wait time to talk to rep was hours haha). Was Told my request for a reservation was received. But it was not a real reservation ha ha and they would let me know. So at that point I knew this was not a “taxi” of days gone by. Have hour before my 4:30 AM pickup time received text to “hold on” and that we were looking for driver ha ha. You guessed it, no driver showed and I drove myself to hospital. The out was formally Yellow Cab but I guess Ztrip was a needed upgrade.

I work for a local Colorado Springs Hotel near the airport. I have guests constantly book reservations to rides to the airport and no one shows up. I call and the automated system tells me they are looking for a driver. They have stranded many, many customers. Worst Cab Service Ever!

I have an interview with Z-Trip and am curious about the whole thing and I want the truth. I have time and want to make money. I am new to this driving business anyway. Now I do know back when “Yellow Cab” was around, you paid a lease and you needed a Shofars or CDL license. How much is the leasing and how is it paid? Who pays for gas? I am feeling like I am in a pond without a lifeguard.

Dear Z trip, I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF THIS!!!! Every time we make a subscription and give a time for the cab to pick me up, they do not listen. They are never on time, always late, and never give reasons on why. Today, I was really late to,work because the DAM CAB DID NOT SHOW UP UNTIL 10:10 AM! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE??????????????????? This is ridiculous. Every week my mom has a subscription to come at 845 AM every week. We thought that would work and they continued being late. When yellow cab used to do it, they were usually on time and sometimes early. I think Z trip should do the same. If you are going to put a subscription for a time every week, they need to remember to come at this time every week. TREAT THIS LIKE UBER!!!!!!! It is that simple, all you do is download an app, call a ride, it tells you exactly how far the driver is and it tells you their name as well. It also tells you how good the driver is, what comments people said, so you know ahead of time if you like the driver or not. This should not happen anymore. That was 1 hour and 25 minutes late. I called a few times asking where the cab is and every time I call, the answer is always the same. We are still looking for nearby drivers and we do not have an available driver at the moment. My mom called and put the subscription for 8:30 AM and I hope it works. My program director at Summerhouse Angie also called and talked to them about it being late all the time and they are working to see if they can find a driver and work it out in a way that it is the same driver every week that is always on time consistently. This is the reason I have been late to work almost every week. If this is the same every week, the driver should put it on their calendar so they remember. I hope the service improves from now on. I am not pleased at all. I hope lessons are learned from this. We need better drivers that are as good as Uber, polite, and they are always on time. I hope it improves and gets better fast. Patrick

Drivers are independent contractors. They choose when they work and which dispatched runs they want to pick up. They are not hourly employees so they have the option to make those decisions. If you find a driver you like it’s best to discuss with them the possibility of making arrangements directly with them rather than going through zTrip dispatch. Many drivers don’t care about their reputation and provide terrible customer service. Other drivers, including myself, take pride in providing excellent customer service. My name is my brand and it is flattering when customers request me specifically because they enjoyed allowing me to drive for them.

I would say this if you have to be at work at 8am i advise you to call at 6:30am be before time not close to time it takes a while for any Ztrip driver to pick it up and it may not be a lot available at that time so be before time so you won’t be late, alot of time it’s not on the driver

NEVER EVER use this service! Monday, June 6 ….The driver ended up charging me $68 for a quoted and verified 3 times price of $32-$35 with their phone reservation lady to get to the Pittsburgh airport. Needing to catch a flight, I couldn’t argue. What is even worse was I asked the driver to confirm the $32-$35 price BEFORE I got in the car & he said “It could even be less”. Yet in conversation during the ride, he’d already taken others to the PIT airport so he really did KNOW! With this more than double charge, I certainly wasn’t going to trust his offer to pay by credit card so I paid cash and got NO receipt.

I have tried to call their customer service number 412-323-4722, left three voice mails over the past few days … and of course, no one returned my call nor email. Sadly I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised.

I’m sorry to hear that driver took advantage of you. In Louisville, the city regulates taxi services. As a taxi driver I have to obtain a permit from the city. If something like that happened here and got reported to the city, the driver could face repercussions. Just something to consider.

My experience with ztrip was very pleasant. My driver was on time and a safe driver. She was patient with me while went washing. Even when I forgot a item in the car. Fast to pick me up. Thanks again hun #5199!!

Called at 9:20 to confirm 9:30 pickup. Said he would be there in 22 minutes. 30 minutes later he said, "you still need a pickup, there is a train and it is too much trouble to come pick you up."

I was threatened with violence

I was threatened with violence. The driver honks his horn early in the morning, waking up my neighbor's baby, which usually cries for about an hour. When I asked the driver to no longer do that, he got out of his car and approached me, inches from my face and said, "I'm gonna beat your ass." I retreated and called the police on him. The driver claimed he owned the company. If that's true, the company is owned by a violent hoodlum. I urge you to find another company. I see they've gotten numerous bad reviews. They've earned every single one of them.

Z Trip; no guarantee of a ride; no driver responded.

I attempted to use Z Trip to arrange a ride in Albuquerque, NM from an airport hotel to the Sunport terminal for a redeye flight to Dallas. The reservation process was fast and simple. The problem comes in when NOBODY accepted the fare, even with an advance tip greater than the fare! Z Trip doesn't actually ensure that a reservation results in a ride, so it's an expensive gamble when your pricey plane tickets are in peril, and you're stuck at the last second trying to get a ride to the airport at 4am. NEVER depend on Z Trip; they'll let you down. Just get a cab!

What about sending a driver when booked ahead of time, and then putting up with a rude dispatcher that seem to be proud of his low professionalism. I will not use your service again.

What is zTrip?

zTrip is an app that allows you to book a Cab anywhere and anytime just like Uber and Lyft.

It allows the user to sign in for free and book a Cab service through their smartphones.

zTrip service area includes:

zTrip was founded by Bill George in 2012. 

zTrip is funded by a company named Transdev, which is for professional drivers and operates black cars and Taxis.

zTrip has a screening process for their drivers.

Before joining they check the Licence, Background, Training, Car condition, and fingerprinting thoroughly.

zTrip provides Car and auto insurance and maintenance to drivers.

zTrip has an option for adding special instructions for the passengers, where passengers can add their work or address, and if they want the driver to call or take a turn they can simply add it before booking. Booking a ride through ztrip is easy, passengers just have to enter the destination, the vehicle type, and can book a cab for a recent ride or for later.

How does zTrip work?

zTrip for Passengers

Passengers first have to download the app and create an account online, which includes the name, Email address, Phone number, and password in order to book a cab online. Passengers can also call 855 699-8767 to book a cab offline.

Then passengers have to enter their destination and they can choose from 6 vehicle options which include Premium 4 seater, premium 5 seaters, standard 4 seaters, standard 5 seaters, and wheelchair accessible.

They can choose to book a cab for now or for later.

Strip has an option for adding special instructions, where the passengers can add their work or home address, instruct the driver to make a U-turn, or call after reaching the destination.

Passengers can also store their drivers for future use.

zTrip accepts cash as well as credit/debit card.

zTrip for Drivers

To drive with ztrip you first have to register on its website by providing your information and which city you want to drive and you have to be over 23 years of age in order to drive with ztrip.

Ztrip does a background check, finger scanning, car insurance check, car insurance, and papers check, and after passing through all the formalities they recruit their drivers for working full time or part-time.

The Driver should be more than 23 years of age and should be a US citizen, should be never convicted of any crime, and should clear a background check which includes a background check, finger scanning, and car insurance check.

As a driver, you can sign up by confirming that you are above 23 years of age, providing information like email id, phone no, and the city you want to drive in.

How much money you can make with zTrip

It depends upon various factors such as how many hours you drive, how many rides you get, your location and it is estimated that the Average zTrip Taxi Driver weekly pay is approximately $1,115.

This Company is a Joke!! With A capitol “J”

I can’t even rightly give them 1 star, but it was my only option. We scheduled them to pick up a group of 10 to shuttle us to an event and pick us up and they didn’t show up on time nor with enough vehicles. We schedule two vehicles and only one showed up……30 minutes late to boot. And not only did they not show up to pick us up to drive us to the event, they failed to come pick us up at the conclusion of then event. This company is completely undependable and should be ashamed to call themselves anything but a fraud. You will be stranded if you chose to use this company. Don’t book anything with this company unless you want to be looking for an alternative to get you to your destination. We had to bargain our way to find a way home because they left us standed in the middle of nowhere….literally.

The app is worse than useless

I tried it twice. The first time I requested a pick up at a later time, but this information didn’t make it to the driver, who showed up a half an hour early. The second time I tried it, the driver was sent to the drop off location to pick up the passenger. in both cases after I submitted my request, the screen on zTrip just kept going and going saying that they were looking for a driver. In both instances I called the company to see if the problem was with zTrip . In both cases the the ride had been booked but zTrip didn’t tell me that it had. It would really be best for everyone if they just remove zTrip until they can actually make it work. it’s frustrating for the passengers for the drivers and I’m sure the company is losing money because of this awful app.

Should be renamed “ do I feel it giving you a ride”

I’m not even giving them the satisfaction of calling them a business or a company and I’m amazed they able to pretend that they are. You book a ride and think you have transportation on the way and nobody ever shows up. If you dare call “customer service” which is really just people that have no idea what they are doing they will tell you they are sending a car and again no one will show. From the person that owns this building to the people that you talk to and the people that accept your ride request and then just cancel it without even letting the customer know SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!!!!!! Do not download zTrip or use this app

Do not ignore the warnings of others

We requested a driver. We got a phone call confirming our request. At the time of the pickup zTrip changed status to “we’re busy, hang tight we’re trying to find a driver” and no one ever showed. We finally gave up, found other transportation and barely arrived on time. The only reason we made it is because we gave ourselves plenty of margin and had a backup plan because of the untrustworthiness of this company based on other reviews. Don’t count on them to show up, and have a backup plan. Or save yourself some trouble and just go with the backup plan.

This is a horrible company and not user friendly. Phone numbers on the website are incorrect. If you book in advance, you will not be notified if your ride is not picked up. You’ll be waiting, then call the contact number and then be told they don’t service your area and give you a new phone number you have to memorize on the spot. They have no answer as to why notifications are not sent and are extremely unhelpful.

Ridiculously bad!

Don’t use the scheduling option— my cab never showed up. Customer service appears to be outsourced and is very incompetent. I even have many complaints about their complaints department!! The drivers are independently owned and evidently have the option to cancel a trip without any notification. If you want to get somewhere on time, don’t use this service. I would recommend Uber, Lyft, or even a horse and buggy over this “business”.

Don’t waste your time with the company

Ordered 3 XL vehicles over a month before I needed them to shuttle wedding guests back to a hotel. I thought surely that would be enough time to coordinate transportation. Only 1 of the 3 vehicles showed up and was over 45 minutes late. Driver called multiple times to try to find the address but failed repeatedly due to inability to speak English. Worst experience I’ve ever had, with any business that I’ve transacted with.

Worthless!!! Ride didn’t show twice

A group of us booked 2 rides in advance and neither one showed. We were abandoned in the middle of nowhere. Customer service is either an automated “we’re finding you a ride, call back in 10 mins” or if you actually get someone they are not interested in helping at all. If I could give a -100 star rating, I would. So disappointed. Don’t rely on this service.

This company is great for helping you get fired

Do you have trust issues, a fear of abandonment? Well, this service won’t help! I have to use this service to get to work, and trust me when I say, this is the worst excuse for a business to ever exist. I’ve given my schedule in advance, and not a single time have they shown up on time. I’m terrified of learning to drive, but this service has made me realize that anything is better.

Worst experience. Don’t even bother. Took forever to find the driver. Then the driver cancelled on me and doesn’t even let me know zTrip doesn’t update or change when the driver change so I spent 30 mins watching this other guy drive around down and go to the area I need to go to. I call and he tells me he is no longer my driver for “safety reasons” and that they called a cab for me.

All the trouble of a cab, repackaged

This is Yellow Cab, etc, rebranded. But instead of trying to be more like Uber and Lyft, the two companies absolutely murdering the taxi business over the last decade, they decided to continue using 20th-century methods and procedures for 21st-century transportation. If you want to ride in a smelly vehicle with a terrible driver who has not been background checked or a drug screened, this is definitely the company for you.

Booked trip didn’t show

Had a trip booked a week out. Early morning trip. Logged into zTrip that morning close to departure time, got a notification saying drivers busy, searching for a nearby ride. I had a flight to catch, no room for this unacceptable customer service. Ended up driving myself and paying for parking, a real let-down.

When nobody’s driving on uber or lyft

This is a great option when all the snobby drivers on uber and lyft are completely occupied or just not working.

They want to keep their business?

I’m not sure if they want to keep their business. They always advertised like use local taxi, but how can I use it if you don’t show up on time? They didn’t even give any notice to me, just didn’t show up. What about my time? I don’t understand why they have a reservation menu if they don’t show up.

We booked with ZRide for a ride to and from an event. We ordered two vehicles to the event. One showed up 30 mins late. On the return trip they no-showed altogether. We had to catch a ride back from a separate cab service altogether. No concern or care from the company. Do not use this company! They will leave you stranded.

Can never showed up. Just get an Uber

Booked a ride online through their website. Had a confirmation number and everything. Cab never showed up. Never got a call saying there was a problem or anything. Tried using zTrip despite the red flags. Ended up taking an Uber. Just take an Uber.

Dont bother booking ahead because it doesn’t matter. Booked a cab to the airport two days in advance and it waited until they were already late to let me know noone was coming. Deleting zTrip now never to be used again. If you are flying please do not use. You will miss your flight.

Called for a pick up at 8:59pm, I called to get an ETA at 10:52pm, at 11:02pm the order was placed again without me saying anything! At 12:19am driver calls and asks if I still needed a ride?!!! I don’t understand how you can bid on contracts and not have drivers ready to work!? YOU ARE NOT: Yellow Cab, Uber, Checkered Taxi or Lyft!

I scheduled a trip almost 3 weeks in advance. The morning of, a driver never showed….and then I got a notification almost an hour after the passenger needed to be picked up that there was no driver available. Maybe communicate better so people can make other arrangements.

I would be crazy to use this service ever again

My driver was rude from the moment he pulled up. Before I even got into the vehicle he said oh I wanted to make sure I got this fair it’s going to Mount Lebanon and I know you’re going to take care of me because it takes a lot of money for me to go there. I only had to go 1 mile. The entire time all he talked about was how rich the people are in Mount Lebanon and how he could not afford to live there and how much gas cost and how he was doing me a favor by picking me up. When I got to the top of the hill I told him to turn right instead he turned left and went out because he said he knew a shortcut which was about 3 to 4 miles out of the way and then he had to turn around and come back the right way so instead my bill was now $14 for a 1 mile trip. Then to top it off I told him pull right in front of the building he pulls a half a block down from the building puts my groceries out across the street from where I live and leaves which meant I had to walk half a block up the hill making several trips with my groceries because this idiot would not pull in front of my steps so that I could just go into the building. I would be crazy to use this service again this is now The second time that this company has done something similar to me. I had a credit on my account that needed to be used that day and the driver would not said he could not use it so I had to pay him. Never again

Nice app but not efficient

zTrip does not always choose the shortest route to your destination. Also, the prices are high.

Unreliable and a Let Down

I scheduled a 9:30 pickup for a noon Chiefs game, and did so the night before. zTrip noted my reservation and gave a reservation number. At 9:25 the day of the pickup, zTrip presented a screen saying this app was kind of busy and was searching for a car. Then I got a call from a call service, which appeared to be a local cab company, asking if I still wanted a ride. I spoke with zTrip ’s call service, the cab company, and maybe a dispatcher 4 different times. Each time I was told to wait 10-15 minutes and a car was on the way. After 50 minutes we got fed up and just drove ourselves. On the way, a rep called and said her supervisor told her it would be another hour before we got picked up. this app has absolutely no plan for how to provide service that day. Totally bush league. Will never use again and will tell Chiefs they need a better ride share solution.

Booking in advance

I booked a ride the day before I needed to go, and was told it was all set. I needed to be somewhere at a specific time. I booked the ride 10 minutes early just to be safe. The ride never showed up, I received a call ten minutes after I was supposed to be picked up that they were still looking for a driver. I understand that getting drivers can be tough, but they shouldn’t have led me to believe that booking in advance wouldn’t guarantee a driver. Had I known in advance I would have used another service. This cost me because I couldn’t make it where I needed to go and had to cancel my morning plans. I would encourage that they do better with advance planning if they want to stay in business.

Bad Experience with Handicap

May or may not be there. Not good when you’re trying to make plans. Got two automated calls well after pick up time asking if I still wanted the booking. Can’t find a way to talk to a person on zTrip . Find out 90 minutes after scheduled pickup time (while sitting there waiting) that they automatically cancel on you if no drivers pick up your route. No one bothered to call to say it was cancelled. What’s the point of scheduling a pickup if it’s “there might be a driver, or might not”. Not many options for handicap people going 7 minutes outside of city limits.

Definitely would not recommend

Why make an advance reservation on app that can’t provide a ride when they said they would? Received confirmation of booking to catch an early morning flight, with guarantee of Van I requested. Received auto-call at 4 a.m. day of confirming we would be picked up. Received call at pickup time saying they were unable to locate a driver. Got someone on the phone who gave me the same sad story. Cancelled and called Uber, which arrived in 10 minutes, helped load numerous bags and got us to the airport with time to spare — for less money. Will be removing zTrip and going Uber from now on.

Worst taxi service ever

Literally the worst taxi service out there. How are y’all still in business?? I have tried 5 times now to get a ride. And every time I’m sitting waiting for them to locate a driver. It takes hours for them just to do that. I have yet to actually ride with this app since no one ever shows up. I would give you 0 stars. Don’t waste your time. Try to find a ride from a friend. It would be a lot faster

Like zTrip because i can pay the cash in the cab but i hope they do offer us the coupons for the cab sometimes the price is high but if they offer us coupon it really help us alot:)(:

I had the best experience tonight with this app. I left my phone in the car - I had a number to call vs no number with Uber and was able to get the driver info and they returned it!!! 5 stars!

Disappointing

Had the worst experience with this app. The card machine they have in the car didn’t work for me or my husband. The driver both times had to take us to an atm to get cash out while charging for more mileage. The driver said the card machine never works. If the machine never works I shouldn’t be charged more and have to pay an atm fee to get out cash. Very disappointed.

No Wheelchair Transportation with the App

zTrip is okay but slow. If you are wanting a wheelchair ride DO NOT use zTrip . It lets you book the transportation and you will even get a phone call to confirm your ride but later will get another phone call telling you they cannot provide wheelchair transportation through zTrip and you have to call them 24 hrs in advance.

zTrip is fine but the drivers in my city are never around you guys need to hire or promote for more drivers I will be waiting a half hour for zTrip to connect me with someone and that right there makes me late for work Either get on Uber and lyfts level or get out the taxi game and other thing whoever is giving y’all five stars is either a worker or bot

Worst company in the taxi business (if you can call this a company) . I ask reservations to make sure driver has receipts and a working credit card machine, she confirmed that will be 'no problem'. So no receipts, no machine working! For sure I am not the only rider experiencing these 'business skills/customer service' largesse. The most outrageous aspect was when driver asked for my credit card so he can scan it with his phone and transfer the charge into his personal bank account !!!- of course no receipt ... paid cash. I've been trying for last 2 days to get a receipt from 'zTricks' over the phone to 3 different listed phone numbers, at each call their spinning tale is 'I have to transfer your call to ...(fill in the blanks) department, if someone answer it tell you this department can not give receipts (text/email), main office is closed (is 3:30p closing is at 5pm) or a long wait ringing...then disconnected. Save yourselves the aggravation and forget about these unprofessional retards !!!

On my first ride the stench coming from driver smell like he has been avoiding soap and water for months. Dirty seats and floor. Credit card machine didn't work. Driver had no receipt to give me only lame excuses. For the second chance -to prove me wrong- I ask reservation/dispatcher to make sure driver has receipts and a working credit card machine, she confirmed that will be no problem. And yes you guessed right! All went wrong again, no receipts, no machine working ! Had to pay cash. I can't give this company a star. This is the WORST company! The school my Grandson goes to uses this company for transportation services. All kids who go to this school are disabled, this past year this company has turned to shit. They play music way to loud for these kids who some have sensory processing disorder so loud music will set off that disruption, the drivers can't show up on time to get the kids to school so kids end up only going to school for an hour or they don't show up at all. Some drivers have dropped kids off at locations that did not pertain to the kid. Some of the kids had to wait 4 hours to be shuttled from school to home. Oh and don't leave your belongings in one of the vehicles because you will NEVER see them again. When you call to speak to someone about the ride arrangements or belongings left behind, you get nothing but attitude and 'I don't cares'! This company, with it's support team and drivers are the WORST! STAY AWAY!!!!!

I call ZTrip at 12:30 for a cab and still no taxi cab. I call the Supervisor they call back in 15 minutes. They need be shut down period because they are no use to Omaha Nebraska and they can’t pick up customer. They are unprofessional period not thinking bout their customers

Needed a taxi in an emergency, bad reliance history with Lyft & Uber, so grabbed the next available app: zTrip. Looked at scheduling a taxi, overpriced, so closed the app. Next day I try to use my bankcard and it's been locked, I call US Bank, they say they locked my card as zTrip had put a $0.50 hold on my account and US Bank flagged them as a fraudulent company, locking my card. I go into the app to try and remove my card info, it won't let me. I look for an option to delete my account, no option. Go to the company website, no option to login to your account. 'Contact Us' page is just a form you fill in - no email proof. No other methods available to contact them other than facebook, twitter and a phone number for customer service. No fax number, no physical address displayed unless you do some Googling for their head office. The website is tricky to find anything useful, but Google was kind enough to show me that a part of zTrip's website will list a local office for them if they're active in your State, so just Google "zTrip local office" with your State's name and hopefully you should find a physical office nearby to go and make a point to them in person. If they don't respond positively to my written request to remove all my financial and personal data from their company and close my account, I may need to physically have them served with Civil Suit papers at the local office. Avoid this company if you can, just suck up the crappy Lyft & Uber prices; at least you'll just get overcharged, not scammed.

I scheduled a pick up for a medical appointment and they never showed up. I called when they were already 10 minutes late and there was a recorded voice saying that they were looking for a driver and would contact me when they knew when the driver would arrive! I had to scramble to find a way to my appointment. Never rely on this company. They are criminally inept.

Don't use this service if at all possible. Booked a ride from the airport. Called repeatedly, would either be cut off or told to expect a call from the driver. No one ever showed up, eventually when I checked on the status, it was changed to "Cancelled". I about 12 hours later I called to ask what happened. I was transfer a couple of times, and then told "Sorry, goodbye".

Dear Z trip, I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF THIS!!!! Every time we make a subscription and give a time for the cab to pick me up, they do not listen. They are never on time, always late, and never give reasons on why. Today, I was really late to,work because the DAM CAB DID NOT SHOW UP UNTIL 10:10 AM! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE??????????????????? This is ridiculous. Every week my mom has a subscription to come at 845 AM every week. We thought that would work and they continued being late. When yellow cab used to do it, they were usually on time and sometimes early. I think Z trip should do the same. If you are going to put a subscription for a time every week, they need to remember to come at this time every week. TREAT THIS LIKE UBER!!!!!!! It is that simple, all you do is download an app, call a ride, it tells you exactly how far the driver is and it tells you their name as well. It also tells you how good the driver is, what comments people said, so you know ahead of time if you like the driver or not. This should not happen anymore. That was 1 hour and 25 minutes late. I called a few times asking where the cab is and every time I call, the answer is always the same. We are still looking for nearby drivers and we do not have an available driver at the moment. My mom called and put the subscription for 8:30 AM and I hope it works. My program director at Summerhouse Angie also called and talked to them about it being late all the time and they are working to see if they can find a driver and work it out in a way that it is the same driver every week that is always on time consistently. This is the reason I have been late to work almost every week. If this is the same every week, the driver should put it on their calendar so they remember. I hope the service improves from now on. I am not pleased at all. I hope lessons are learned from this. We need better drivers that are as good as Uber, polite, and they are always on time. I hope it improves and gets better fast. Patrick

I've had good & bad experiences with this company. Mostly good though. I like the ease of calling the phone # and getting scheduled for pick up. My first 2 drivers were great. Polite, safe and less expensive than uber, lyft or a local cab co. Those drivers also gave me their personal business card with their cell phone # on it so I wouldn't have to get the automated voice when I called the co. My 3rd experience was not good because this new driver tried to raise the price and I called her out on it. My car is not fixed yet so I call z-trip to get a ride home after work, sometimes late at night. It's the same route every time and I asked this driver why they were charging me more than the other drivers for the same distance? That threw them off their game so I told her to pull over & let me out and I would pay for how far she had driven me ( I was a quarter of a mile from my destination & tired after standing for 8 hours, but wasn't going to let a greedy driver rip me off. The next driver I had after that not only lied about her ETA ( estimated time of arrival ) but took over an hour and a half to reach me. When she picked me up, she drove 20 minutes in the opposite direction and said she had a detour to pick up her son ( who turned out to be a 20 yr old ) and then only gave me a $5.00 discount. She was nice but very unprofessional. I ripped up her business card and threw it in the trash. I have 1 preferred driver now and they are clean, polite well spoken and drive safely. I always tip $3-5 per trip for a mile and a half trip. And it's usually about 8-9 dollars for the ride home. Some drivers will not pick you up if the fare is under $10, I'm lucky to have found a decent driver & on nights when he's off, I ride my bike. This driver let me know that because they are all independent contracters, they do not have to pick up customers if they do not want to. That's understandable, because these drivers rent the vehicle from the company, so fares that don't pay or tip usually do not receive service again.On nights when I can't tip ( at least 1.00!) Then I ride or walk home.- They have to earn a living too. So Z-trip corporate should incorporate a policy that calls the customer within 15 minutes of pick up request, if a driver hasn't been found. They don't. It's up to the customer to call back and see if a driver has picked up the call. Overall, it's been a convenience and good experience for me and will continue to use their service until my car is either fixed or I move closer to work.

Z-trip is 1010 taxis (for taxi service) and licensed (presumably insured) black car providers in Orlando. Uber without the rule breaking. This is NOT a ride share service, this is cab companies/black car providers working with an app. I've been looking into them, They do not let you use your personal car.

Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Ti 340 Mini Driver Review

T he mini driver revolution is officially upon us. With more and more of these intriguing new clubs hitting the USGA conforming list seemingly by the week, I am taking a look at Callaway's version, the Paradym Ai Smoke Ti 340 mini driver to see what it can offer the consumer market. Does it sit amongst the best drivers or even the best fairway woods ? Or both? Let's find out...

Firstly, many people have been asking the question, what or who is a mini driver for? Well, the answer to that question in my opinion can be different from player to player. As a PGA Professional , I have noticed a growing number of my high-speed contemporaries using a mini driver to great effect of late as a pure driver alternative around particularly tight golf courses where a 3-wood might drop too much yardage and add too much spin. As such a mini driver, pitched somewhere between 3-wood and driver in terms of loft, length, and face depth has produced some excellent results. Similarly, I have seen a number of my recreational friends using this type of club extremely successfully as a direct 3-wood replacement, feeling that the extra head size provides more confidence than the traditionally more compact 3-wood. 

From a technology standpoint, Callaway is giving us a 340cc head, a titanium construction, and the same Ai smart face that we have seen with the rest of the Ai smoke family. Callaway tells us that the Ai smart face creates micro deflections across the face to optimize launch and spin conditions on both centered and miss-struck shots. 

With lofts of 11.5˚ and 13.5˚ available and a shaft length of 43.75”, this sits directly in that twilight zone between driver and 3-wood. The Paradym Ai Smoke Ti 340 mini driver also features adjustable 12 and 4-gram weights on the sole to dial in spin and Callaway’s adjustable loft sleeve for further customization.

Visually, I think Callaway has done a great job, much as I did with the rest of the Ai Smoke driver range. The grey colorway looks extremely premium and the head shaping is excellent at address. If I were being picky, I would probably have left off the triangular alignment aid on the top edge as I prefer the cleaner look of the triple diamond models, but that is a very minor point and on the whole the visual is excellent. 

I think it would be fair to say that the Paradym Ai Smoke mini driver's main competitor would be the TaylorMade BRNR mini copper , and there is a subtle difference. TaylorMade’s version comes in at 304cc in volume whereas Callaway has gone a little larger at 340cc. Having tested both, I did find this made a difference in how and where I would use each model. The additional real estate of the Ai smoke model was very comforting off the tee, however, I did find the head dwarfed the ball a little more off the floor than with the TaylorMade version which some may find a little intimidating. That said, all of the Callaway marketing correspondence has emphasized that this club has been designed very much as a driver alternative rather than a 3-wood replacement so perhaps the fairway performance is not a big concern.

I tested the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke mini driver at Royal North Devon Golf Club with my FullSwing KIT launch monitor and TaylorMade TP5 golf balls and the performance impressed me. From the tee, ball speeds and efficiency were extremely impressive, in fact, they were not far behind my gamer driver at all. The additional loft and subsequent spin increase did take a little distance off my ‘normal’ driver numbers, but on average, I was only losing around 13-15 yards of carry. For context here, I found my best results in the -1 loft setting on the 13.5˚ head and with the heavier 12g weight in the lower spinning forward position. 

The feel off the face will be a familiar one to current Ai Smoke users, with a satisfying dull thud at impact and fairly muted audio. 

When I played around with the settings, I found that you could make massive performance differences, perhaps more so than on any other club I’ve ever tried. Firstly the sole weights made a good 3-500rpm difference to my spin output and with 3 degrees of loft adjustability on top of that, you can basically create a totally different golf club with a couple of clicks of a wrench. With that in mind, it is imperative that you have a very clear idea of what you are looking to achieve from gaming a club like this before you start wielding your wrench.

It is important to note that the Paradym Ai Smoke mini driver is only available in very limited quantities so if you are keen, I would suggest acting fairly swiftly because once they are gone, they are gone. The RRP is £449/$449.

Overall, a really interesting and strong-performing product. If you are very clear on what you want from it and get it set up accordingly, then you will have a serious weapon on your hands.

Steps to Apply

Tips to complete your child's form :

  • Do not sign your child's form until asked to do so by a passport acceptance agent or employee. 
  • You can apply for a passport book , a passport card , or both documents.
  • You may ask for a larger passport book with more visa pages, at no extra cost, by checking the 'large book' box at the top of the DS-11.

2. Get Evidence of U.S. Citizenship (and a photocopy)

Your evidence must be an original or replacement copy. The document must have the official seal or stamp of the office which issued it. You must submit one of the following documents for your child:

  • Issued by the city, county, or state of birth
  • Lists applicant's full name, date of birth, and place of birth
  • Lists the parent(s)' full names
  • Has the date filed with registrar's office (must be within one year of birth)
  • Has the registrar's signature
  • Has the seal or stamp of the city, county, or state which issued it
  • Consular Report of Birth Abroad or Certification of Birth
  • Certificate of Citizenship
  • Please note you must also provide a document, such as a birth certificate, that lists the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of the child. Full validity means the document is or was valid for 10 years for adults and 5 years for children under 16.

Paper only : You cannot submit digital evidence of U.S. citizenship such as a mobile or electronic birth certificate. You must submit physical evidence of U.S. citizenship and a photocopy of the document. 

Returning your child's document : We will return your child's document in a separate mailing up to 8 weeks after you receive the new passport.

Tips for making a photocopy :

  • Black and white (no color)
  • Use 8.5 inch by 11 inch paper
  • Use a single side of the paper

If you do not submit a photocopy, you must submit a second copy of your citizenship evidence. We will keep this copy for our records.

3. Show Your Relationship to Your Child

You must submit a document that lists the parent(s) or legal guardian(s) of the child. Examples include:

  • U.S. birth certificate (also evidence of U.S. citizenship)
  • Foreign birth certificate
  • Adoption decree
  • Divorce or custody decree
  • A court order

Some documents, like a U.S. birth certificate, show  both  U.S. citizenship and parental relationship. These documents must be originals or certified copies (not photocopies).

You and your child may have different last names, as long as the document showing your relationship to your child lists your full name.

If your name is different than the one on the document showing your relationship to your child, submit proof of your legal name change.

4. Get a Photo ID (and a photocopy)

Both parents or guardians must bring a physical, photo ID and a photocopy of it. If your photo ID is from a different state than the state in which you are applying, bring a second photo ID. 

You must show at least  one  of these photo IDs:

  • Valid or expired, undamaged U.S. passport book or passport card 
  • In-state, fully valid driver's license or enhanced driver's license with photo
  • Certificate of Naturalization 
  • Certificate of Citizenship 
  • Government employee ID (city, county, state, or federal)
  • U.S. military or military dependent ID
  • Current (valid) foreign passport
  • Matricula Consular (Mexican Consular ID) used by a parent of a U.S. citizen child applicant
  • U.S. Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) used by a parent of a U.S. citizen child applicant
  • Trusted Traveler IDs (including valid Global Entry, FAST, SENTRI, and NEXUS cards)
  • Enhanced Tribal Cards and Native American tribal photo IDs
  • In-state, fully-valid learner's permit with photo
  • In-state, fully-valid non-driver ID with photo
  • Temporary driver's license with photo

5. Show More Documents (if both parents or guardians cannot apply)

  • Both parents or guardians must approve that we can issue a passport to a child, and go with the child to apply in person.
  • If one or both parents or guardians cannot apply in person with their child, you will need to show more documents.

Important : Submit  Form DS-3053  and other notarized statements within three months of signing them.

6. Provide a Photo

You must provide one photo with your child's application. Go to our  Passport Photo page  for photo requirements and to see examples of photos. 

  • Do not attach or staple your child's photo to the form. The acceptance agent or passport employee will review the photo and staple it to your form.
  • Some  passport acceptance facilities
  • A company which offers photo services
  • Home. Ask your friend or family member to take your child's photo. Print it on glossy or matte photo quality paper. 

7. Calculate Fees

When applying using Form DS-11, you will pay two separate fees - an application fee and an execution (acceptance) fee. You will pay the application fee to the U.S. Department of State, and the execution (acceptance) fee to the facility which takes your application. 

  • Add $60 to your application fee if you want  expedited service .
  • Add $19.53 to your application fee if you want us to ship your completed passport in 1-2 days after we issue it.

*How to fill out your check and pay the application fee to the U.S. Department of State. Please note you must pay a separate execution (acceptance) fee. 

Families may write one check or money order to the U.S. Department of State if they are applying at the same time. The check or money order must include the name and date of birth of each applicant.

8. Find Location to Apply

In the United States:

  • Traveling in more than 3 weeks?  Go to a  passport acceptance facility  such as a post office, library, or local government office. Check with the facility to see if you need to make an appointment. 
  • Traveling in less than 3 weeks?   Make an appointment  to apply at a passport agency or center.

In another country:

  • Contact your  U.S. embassy or consulate .

9. Track Your Application Status

You can  subscribe to email updates  about your application status, and  learn more about each status update .

It may take 2 weeks from the day you apply until your child's application status is “In Process.”

How will you send my child's passport and supporting documents.

You will get multiple mailings. The number of mailings depends on what document(s) you asked for.

Passport Book : You may get your new passport and citizenship documents in two mailings. You may wait 8 weeks after getting your passport before you get a second mailing with your citizenship documents. We will return the passport book using a trackable delivery service.

Passport Card : You may get your new passport card and your citizenship documents in two mailings. You may wait 8 weeks after getting your passport before you get a second mailing with your citizenship documents. We only send the passport card via First Class Mail. We do not send cards using 1-2 day delivery services.

Both a Passport Book and Card : You may get three separate mailings:

  • New passport book
  • New passport card
  • Citizenship documents

Contacting Us : If you have been waiting more than 8 weeks for your documents, call us at  1-877-487-2778  to report that you have not received your documents. 

If you want us to reimburse you for a lost supporting document, you must contact us within 90 days of the date which we mailed your passport. You will also need to provide a receipt to show the cost of replacing the document. 

Can I pay for faster delivery and return shipping?

Yes. You may choose one or both of the following shipment options:

  • Delivering application to us : Pay for Priority Mail Express for faster shipping. The price for this service varies depending on the area of the country.
  • Returning the passport to you : Pay $19.53 for 1-2 day delivery. This means you will receive your passport   1-2 days after we send it. Include this fee with your check or money order payable to the U.S. Department of State. Do not submit a return envelope to us with postage pre-paid. 

You may receive your passport and supporting documents in separate mailings. If you are renewing a passport card, we will send it to you via First Class Mail. We do not use 1-2 day delivery services if you only applied for a passport card.

What countries require Form DS-3053 "Statement of Consent" to be notarized at an embassy or consulate?

In certain countries, a DS-3053 must be notarized at a  U.S. embassy or consulate  and cannot be notarized by a local notary public. Currently, these countries include:
