I have bad experience for goa tour. I have taken package rs 12999 with adventure trips with pick and drop railway station. First bad experience is they did not call to us and proper guidance how to reach and about activities. I have 20 times call the tour advisor. He gave us one phone number and we need to call the person for activities. Don't take package from yatra for any place. Bad services and you will not enjoying your tour

They are thieves, they make u buy a ticket and never issue u a PNR number. After 24 hours they cancell ur ticket and charge u 2000 as cancellation fee.

Yatra.com failed at all levels to be a travel agency in India. I had the worst experience of my life in booking international flight from Del to SFO. 1. Booked Del to SFO and received confirmation from yantra.com at 1:47 PM including confirmation number and Airline PNR details. Paid 3,76,000 INR 2. 4 hours later agent called me asking for another 28000 INR to keep the booking 3. Upon asking questions, why there is such miscommunication, all vague answers and nothing concrete I highly recommend to refrain from using this company for any travel needs.There are much better companies around. Planning to file a consumer court complaint as well. Booking Reference Number - 3107240051357 Message in my email says- Dear Prateek Mittal, Congratulations! Your flight booking is confirmed. This website has strong difficulties to deal with international cards, beware !!! If the page says payment failed, be sure to wait 15 minutes. I made another reservation (again, payment was said to be unsuccessful) . Later on I receive two confirmed bookings. I contact the customer service about this issue and they just say that it would be at the hotel discretion to reimburse me (and if they do so, they will charge me 250 rupees because "I want" to cancel). No , I do not want anything except using a website working properly. JUST AVOID AND USE THEIR COMPETITORS

One of the worst website to get the ticket done . I got my ticket done through it. Money is deducted but i didn't got any confirmation from them even after 18 hrs . They tell you to bear with them , if in case flight get confirmed then it is okay otherwise bear extra charges . Basically try your luck free free free. When you call them and ask them , that this is not fault of airline ,it is your problem then they ask you to wait or if you are in so much hurry then take this number to contact them . So overall , you have one more job opportunity to be part of technical support for the whole day . In conclusion , we get ticket done through flight to save our time , but They will not let you save your time and even money . Worst website

Booked international flight for 2…

Booked international flight for 2 people trusting their yatra assurance program. Booking ref 2603240063834. When I sent a screenshot of cleartrip with fare difference of 20,000 RS to them, they said I am not eligible for yatra assurance. Also yatra conveneince fee is very high. Also unable to call from international number to their customer care. Would have given zero or negative star. Never yatra again

Worst experience with Yatra.com

I booked a flight from vishakhapatnam to mumbai round trip for my brother in the name of Pratyush Tripathy and we didn't receive any confirmation on bookings or anything. its a fraud cheap company. NO ONE SHOULD EVER USE YATRA.COM. neither i am able to contact them nor i am able to get refund. all their customer care numbers are non-existent. no email is working. I need refund for the 11k I have spent on booking trusting this site but I am unable to contact or do anything.

Booked a hotel for 13 nights - chose Superior Room at Udman Greater Noida because that choice included breakfast. Called the hotel at 9.00 PM that I will be arriving late around 2.00 AM. Hotel informed me that they have no booking for me. Had to send someone to the hotel to show all the texts I had received from yatra - when they finally admitted that they had the booking. Woke up in the morning to get breakfast- and now I am being told it’s not included ??? Ridiculous “bait and switch” tactic by yatra and their hotel partners. Now I am told they will not modify or cancel my booking- Zero refund (out of Rs 50,843) Stay away from Udman Hotel and Yatra.com - not trustworthy At All

I booked flight through yatra for the first time and was suffering from some post booking issues which was not possible to resolve without yatra's support. In fact the air lines denied me to help and adjust my flight timing. Yes, i was not able to contact anybody in yatra but i dropped E mail about my concern and got a call from the management and after getting a call, within 20 minutes my issue got resolved without paying or doing any extra efforts. Pathetic is an understatement

Pathetic is an understatement I need to reschedule my flight. But 1. Online rescheduling is not working. 2. They don't have a dedicated customer care number. 3. They don't respond to your mails soon. I would have rated half a star

I would have chosen half a star if given an option. While booking a bus ticket they show you mirror image or incorrect seat alignment which confuses you if your opting for a particular seat. No matter which customer support number you dial or email them you won't receive any feedback let alone any resolution. The website has many glitches as even if there are no seats available the list on home page you still would be seeing '30 seats available'. Worst experience ever. Never gonna use this app/website ever.

What a nightmare!

What a nightmare! I recently booked an international flight with Yatra.com with reference number 1712230026325 and wanted to cancel the ticket due to change in plans. Here's the worst experiences I had: - Unable to Login or Signup in order to manage my booking (Error: Secure connection failed). - There is no proper phone number to contact. - Tried to call some of the phone numbers that I found on their "Contact Us" page. No body picks up the phone. They just hang up. - The Yuva chatbot is useless again we need to login and none of logins work. - Emailed them requesting the cancellation. No response after two days. Absolutely horrible experience. Would never recommend them.

Suffering from the high altitude sickness is the most concerned issue of a Kailash tour. Based on our over 20 years' experience in Tibet tourism, there is no need to worry too much about it. High altitude sickness is the very normal reaction when entering the highland, usually, you will feel a little bit headache, sleepness, chest distress. However, since our Kailash Manasavor yatra always starts with at least 4 days in Lhasa, which will help you get acclimatized to the high altitude. It is helpful to drink more hot water and have some fruit. Please remember to not have shower every day and do not take the risk of washing your hair or body with snow or stream. Otherwise, catching cold would be extremely dangerous at high altitude.

The Mount Kailash region experiences minimal rainfall, though July and August are the rainy seasons, often accompanied by the appearance of rainbows.

During the remaining months, expect clear blue skies, white clouds, diverse vegetation, and May stands out as the best time to witness the breathtaking beauty of Kelsang flowers.

The accommodation conditions at Mount Kailash are quite basic - almost basic dorm beds in guesthouses and small inns. Generally, guesthouse rooms along the Kora route can accommodate 3 to 4 people, with shared toilets available on each floor.

The first necessary travel document is the Chinese Visa. Once you have your Chinese and a valid passport, you can proceed to apply for the Tibet Travel Permit.

How to reach char dhams of uttarakhand.

Char Dham Yatra by Air Route – Dehradun to Yamunotri, Kharsali to Gangotri, Gangotri to Kedarnath, Guptkashi to Badrinath and Badrinath to Dehradun.

• From Dehradun you have to reach the government helipad on Sahastradhara road, the flight will take you to Kharsali and you will reach Yamunotri Temple.
• From Kharsali you will visit Harsil by helicopter where the Gangotri Temple is located.
• From Gangotri, you will reach Phata Helipad, where you can proceed to Kedarnath Dham
• From Phata you will fly to Guptkashi. From Guptkashi you will reach Badrinath Helipad, where you will proceed to Badrinath Dham.

Chardham Yatra by Road Route – Haridwar to Phoolchatti, Phoolchatti to Yamunotri, Phoolchatti to Harsil, Harsil to Gangotri and Uttarkashi, Uttarkashi to Guptkashi from New Tehri, Guptkashi to Kedarnath Via Gaurikund, Kedarnath – Gaurikund to Tilwara, Tilwara- Joshimath to Badrinath.

• The trip starts from Haridwar and you have to reach Phoolchatti via Barkot which is a beautiful hamlet amidst the Himalayan Mountains. The roads are safe to travel.
• From Phoolchatti, You will reach Yamunotri Dham .
• We will again come to Phoolchatti from Yamunotri to reach Uttarkashi.
• From Uttarkashi, you have to reach Harsil to visit Gangotri Dham , the scenic sacred realm of Goddess Ganga, Now return from Gangotri to reach Uttarkashi. From Uttarkashi, visit Guptkashi.
• In Guptkashi, arrive at Gaurikund. From Gaurikund, you can hire a pony, or doli to reach Kedarnath Dham , the holy abode of lord Shiva or you can also trek to the temple, its a 17 km distance.
• Return to Gaurikund to reach Tilwara. From Tilwara, reach Joshimath which is 170 km away. Leave Joshimath to visit Badrinath Dham .

Best Time to Visit Char Dham Yatra?

Char Dham destinations remain open for half a year from April to June to October or November. Due to the harsh climate and heavy snowfall, Char Dham sites remain closed in the winter season. The best time to visit Char Dham sites is the summer season (April to June).

What are the do’s and don’ts for Char Dham Yatra?

• In case of traveling by bus, taxi/max cab vehicles, there is a system of issuing green cards after technical inspection of the vehicle concerned, which has a validity of 02 months.
• The said green card can be obtained from the Rishikesh Office of the Transport Department as well as another divisional / sub-divisional office.
• While issuing the green card and passing through the travel check post, it will be checked that the passenger list is verified from the border check post and is Hologramed by the transport department. Therefore, passengers are requested to stop at the check post and compulsorily verify the passenger list while entering the state.

Yatra Looks to Grow its Corporate Travel Profile – India Report

Business travel in India is on a rise. It is the ninth-largest market globally for business travel expenditure. Yatra's agreement with Cipla is the latest development as online travel agencies in India work to profit from this segment.

Online travel agency Yatra has signed an agreement to provide travel service to Indian pharmaceutical giant Cipla – in line with the company’s strategy to focus efforts on the “more profitable” corporate business.”

Yatra’s CEO and co-founder Dhruv Shringi talked about the company’s focus on corporate customers during an earnings call this spring.

“During the fiscal year of 2024, we signed 83 new corporate customers, which translates into annual billing potential of INR 5.4 billion ($64.7 million). In the March quarter alone, we signed 25 new corporate clients,” he said.

For this year, Yatra is focusing on growing its hotels business, both for customers and corporate clients. The company said it has also hired a team to scale hotels in the corporate travel segment.

Earlier this year, Yatra.com appointed Gaurav Luthra as Chief Business Officer – New Business Development. Luthra in his earlier role had been the managing director of corporate travel platform FCM Travel. At the time of his appointment, the company had said, “He (Luthra) will lend his strategic leadership to drive the company’s corporate travel proposition focused on mid-market customers.”

The company has also launched an AI-powered expense management solution along with a new guesthouse booking platform for its corporate clients.

Corporate Travel in India: India is the ninth-largest market globally for business travel expenditure and the fourth-largest in the Asia Pacific region . 

According to the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA), India’s business travel spending is set to reach $38 billion this year. It is also expected to make a full recovery to pre-2019 spending levels by 2025. 

Last year, business travel spending in India increased by almost 25%, reaching 78% of pre-pandemic levels. In 2024, the projected growth in business travel and meetings and events is estimated at 18%. 

OTAs’ Focus: As the corporate travel industry is surging in India, online travel companies are ramping up their efforts to profit from this segment . 

Online travel company MakeMyTrip is also looking to grow its corporate business through its corporate travel platform MyBiz. The company accelerated its efforts in this direction during the pandemic, and now has more than 55,000 active clients across sectors.

Dubai-based business travel platform Tumodo also announced the launch of its India services in April this year, expecting an 18% surge in the India market in 2024.

IHG Hotels Debuts in Kashmir

IHG Hotels and Resorts has entered Kashmir with the signing of voco Srinagar. The 95-key hotel is scheduled to open in October 2026. This marks IHG’s sixth voco hotel in India. 

Sudeep Jain, managing director – South West Asia for IHG, said, “Domestic tourism to leisure destinations is on the rise in India. We recognize the potential.”

The company is strategically expanding its presence in key leisure destinations in India. Over the next five years, IHG is planning to double its presence in India. In 2023, it signed 13 hotels in luxury, premium, and essentials categories across destinations such as Jim Corbett, Amritsar, and Goa.

Over 500,000 Indian Tourists Visited Singapore Through May

Between January and May this year, more than 500,000 Indian tourists visited Singapore, according to Singapore Tourism Board regional director Markus Tan. India was the fourth-largest source market for the Southeast nation during this period.

The Singapore Tourism Board is now organizing a multi-city roadshow in Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Ahmedabad this month. Singapore is also focusing on the potential wedding business from India, particularly during the Ahmedabad and Kolkata legs. 

Singapore has been making a push to attract Indian tourists, in order to achieve its goal of receiving more than 1.5 million tourists this year. In April this year, Singapore signed three agreements with Indian companies in three days , including fintech player PhonePe, online travel company MakeMyTrip, and designer Rahul Mishra. 

Akasa Air to Add 200 Aircraft to its Fleet in 8 Years

Budget airline Akasa Air is expecting to add more than 200 planes over the next eight years to its current fleet of 24 Boeing 737 Max jets. The airline has placed an order for 226 Boeing 737 Max planes, CEO Vinay Dube has said. 

Akasa currently operates more than 900 weekly flights to more than 20 destinations, including Doha in Qatar and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. It is also slated to commence operations to the United Arab Emirates’ Abu Dhabi and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia this month. 

Dube also said that the market in India is big enough for the low-cost airline to succeed, “if we focus on ourselves. We don’t spend so much time focused on what competition is doing unless we have things we can learn from.”

Cygnett Hotels Launches Leadership Program

Cygnett Hotels and Resorts has launched its Cygnett Leadership Development Program to train current and prospective hospitality industry leaders. The training includes modules on people skills, leadership skills, digitalization, HR management, accounting, finance, marketing, auditing, and cultural transformation, the hotel chain said in a statement. 

A recent report by the Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council said that young workers are leaving the industry due to low wages and extended hours. Hotel Association of India president KB Kachru said that there was a need for better collaboration between educational institutions and industry players to fill the gap between hospitality education and the real requirements of the industry.

Omani low-cost airline SalamAir commenced flights from Muscat to Delhi on Tuesday. The carrier is set to operate on the route twice a week. The announcement comes two weeks after it announced that it will be operating direct flights between Muscat and Chennai starting July 11. 

India is emerging as an important source market for tourism for Middle Eastern nations. In response to this, Indian and Middle Eastern carriers have significantly boosted connectivity to cater to the rising demand from Indian tourists. Airlines have launched new routes and increased the frequency of existing flights.

Airlines in the Middle East, including Emirates and Qatar Airways, have also been seeking grants for more seats under the bilateral agreements so that they can operate an increased number of flights to and from India.

Passengers at Delhi airport can use DigiYatra without downloading mobile app

The initiative launched at Terminal-3 of IGI Airport will allow passengers to use the facility through a simple three-step registration process, Delhi International Airport Limited said in a statement. The registration process would entail the passengers to scan their boarding pass and their face, and produce an identification proof to the security personnel stationed near the registration desk.
