Virtual Tour of Oslo, Norway, with Diana and Nordiva Tours

Virtual tour of Oslo

Getting off the Zoom call with my tour guide Diana showing me around Oslo, I was full of new knowledge, inspiration, and joy. What a great experience the  virtual tour of Oslo, Norway,  is.

Diana is a knowledgeable guide residing in Oslo. She walked me through some of the highlights in the Norwegian capital. We spent about an hour together, and in that time I saw the main street Karl Johan, the Parliament building, the Grand Hotel, University of Oslo, the Royal Palace and much more. I got a unique taste of Oslo with an entertaining and knowledgeable guide.

Entertaining Stories from Oslo

Diana shared many interesting stories throughout the tour. One of my favorite stories was about the famous painter Edvard Munch and the Grand Hotel Café. Edvard Much, maybe, most famous for his painting  The Scream ,  reside in Oslo. It was here Munch exchanged one of his paintings for 100 meals at the Grand Hotel Cafe. That painting is for sure worth a whole lot more than 100 meals today. Make sure to ask Diana to share that story with you.

virtual tour of norway

Another interesting story that Diana share is about the lion statues outside the Parliament building. A fascinating story not only about the lion statues themselves but the creators behind the statues. Diana shared the stories in a very informative but enthusiastic way, which made it very entertaining.

Interactive Way of Touring Oslo

Throughout the Oslo walk, it’s also fun to wave and say hi to some of the people walking past on the shopping street Karl Johan. Although, Diana and the pedestrians do not see you if you do this through Amazon Explore.

The virtual tour is streamed live in real-time. So throughout the whole experience, you can ask Diana questions, and she will be happy to answer them for you. It is a very interactive way to explore Oslo.

During the tour, you can take pictures of everything you see and experience on your virtual tour.

Virtual Tour of Oslo – Options with Nordiva Tours and Diana

The tour I got to enjoy virtually,  Doorway to Norway , is about an hour long. If you would like a longer and more in-depth tour of Oslo, that can be arranged as well. Please, book that ahead of time so that Diana can plan out the tour for you accordingly.

Virtual Tour Options in Oslo;

  • Doorway to Norway: A virtual walking tour of Oslo’s highlights
  • Tour of the Vigeland Outdoor Sculpture Park

Virtual Shopping

In addition to the tour, you can also do some shopping. Diana will show you around one of the shops in Oslo, where you have the opportunity to shop for Norwegian items. Gifts and souvenirs, knitwear and Norwegian clothing, Viking-related items, handmade jewelry, and more are available.

After your shopping spree, you will get charged through Amazon, and your goods will ship to you. It’s easy, entertaining and a very convenient way of shopping. If you are looking for unique, authentic Norwegian items, this is a great way to shop,

What to Do if There are Technical Issues

It doesn’t happen often, but when technology is involved, there can sometimes be an issue. Your guide will try to solve it for you right there and then, and in most cases, this will take care of it.

My Virtual Experience – Would I recommend it?

We started out having some smaller technical issues, but as soon as that was resolved, I had a wonderful experience enjoying Oslo with Diana as my guide. She was showing me around the city, sharing stories, and answered all my questions willingly. She was very knowledgeable, a great storyteller, and very easygoing. I enjoyed the one-on-one experience, seeing the highlights, and asking questions. Interacting with both the guide and the Norwegians around was fun and educational. Overall it was a great experience. But don’t only take my word for it. Here are a couple of other reviews;

  • One-on-one experience
  • See the highlights of Oslo
  • Interact with your guide and ask questions
  • Shop Norwegian items
  • Explore from the comfort of your own home
  • We initially did have some technical issues, but that got solved pretty quickly.
  • If you are in the USA, you will have a time change of 6 hours. Your tour will most likely be early morning.

Why Do a Virtual Tour of Oslo?

There are many reasons why you would want to do a virtual tour of Oslo. With the current situation of the pandemic, a virtual tour is a way to explore.

There can, of course, be other reasons for not traveling. Having the opportunity to learn more about the Norwegian capital, its people, and stories first-hand from an expert is possible due to the technology of today. We live in a time where the possibilities are endless. From the comfort of your own home, you can learn from an expert, enjoy the highlights of Oslo, and take in the atmosphere in real-time. This is also a perfect way of getting a taste of Oslo if you are planning a trip there in the future. Start dreaming and planning your Scandinavian trip with one of these virtual tours.

Until we can travel in person again, this is the best way to explore Oslo first-hand.

Explore beguiling Bergen on this virtual tour

Bryggen in Bergen

Welcome to Bergen

There’s a lot to love about Norway’s former capital, from its spectacular natural setting (surrounded by seven fjords and seven hills) to its rich cultural heritage. Come along as we take a closer look at what makes Bergen such an appealing destination.

Bryggen

Colorful Bryggen

Bergen is almost immediately recognizable by its colorful UNESCO World Heritage-listed wharf. The area, known as Bryggen, was rebuilt after the great fire of 1702 that reduced much of the city to embers. However, this collection of Hanseatic buildings hasn’t changed much from the Middle Ages and ranks among the city’s most popular attractions.

Ulriken Cable Car

Top of the world

Of the seven peaks surrounding Bergen, Mount Ulriken is the tallest at 2,110 feet. A cable car takes visitors to the top for stellar views and access to excellent hiking. One of the area’s most popular hikes is the trek between this peak and Mount Fløyen along the Vidden Plateau.

Camping on Mount Ulriken

Sleep beneath the stars

During the warmer months, camping offers a budget-friendly accommodation option in Bergen. Campers will find a variety of sites within a few miles of the city center, including some spectacular sites looking down on the city from the surrounding mountains.

Kyrkjetangen Beach

A day at the beach

You might not think of the beach when you think of Norway, but Bergen has its own sandy swimming spot that's not far from the city center. Locals flock to Kyrkjetangen in the summer to take a bracing dip in the water, which typically hovers around 57 degrees Fahrenheit.

Nærøyfjord

Land of fjords

Bergen is known as the Gateway to the Fjords, and no trip would be complete without experiencing these natural wonders. Nærøyfjord, a UNESCO World Heritage site, ranks among the world’s narrowest fjord (only 820 feet wide in some places), surrounded by peaks up to 5,600 feet tall.

View from Bakkanosi near Gudvangen

View from the top

Norway is not a country for those with a fear of heights. Some of the best views of Nærøyfjord come from the perch atop Bakkanosi, over 4,000 feet above sea level. The out-and-back hike takes around eight hours, but the views certainly reward experienced hikers.

Fløibanen funicular

An historic ascent

Mount Fløyen, another of Bergen’s famous peaks, can be accessed via the Fløibanen funicular. Two traditional carriages have been ferrying visitors to the top of this mountain for more than a century. The journey to the top takes about six minutes, and the peak is home to a bakery and cafe, playground and hiking trails through the troll forest.

Row of wooden houses

Wooden houses of Bergen

Bergen has suffered from numerous fires over the years, yet the city still has one of the largest collections of wooden houses in Europe (some dating back more than 300 years). See some of the most charming examples with a stroll along Strangebakken or Strangeplassen in the Nordnes neighborhood.

Troldhaugen - Home of composer Edvard Grieg

Troldhaugen, home of composer Edvard Grieg

Edvard Grieg, one of the Romantic era’s top composers, was born in Bergen in 1843. Troldhaugen, his former home where he lived for 22 years with his wife Nina, is now a museum and concert hall dedicated to his memory. Visitors can tour the villa or sit in the garden where Grieg composed some of his best-known works.

Lille Lungegårdsvann

The green lung of Bergen

Lille Lungegårdsvann, a lake in the center of Bergen, offers a peaceful, contemplative setting. The park is at its most beautiful in springtime, when the trees around the shores of the lake are in full bloom. In winter, the lake attracts a variety of ducks and gulls, making it an excellent spot for birdwatching.

Trolltunga in Odda, Hardanger

The Troll's Tongue

Trolltunga, or the Troll’s Tongue, makes a good case for being the most spectacular rock formation in all of Norway. This rocky outcrop juts out 2,297 feet above Ringedalsvatnet Lake. While the trail to the top is demanding, it’s well worth the effort for one of the country’s top views.

Wild sheep

Norwegian wool

When hiking around Bergen, you’re more than likely to encounter one (or more) of Norway’s free-range sheep. Some two million of them graze in the fields of Norway, where they have free access to go where they’d like. To learn more about the importance of sheep and wool to Bergen, visit some of the attractions on the Wool Heritage Route.

Tall Ships' Races fireworks

Tall Ships' Races

Each year, tall ships from around Europe gather for the Tall Ships’ Races, an event designed to encourage the art of sailing in young people. Bergen has hosted the event five times in its history, including in 2019. Between events, visitors can typically see the three-masted Statsraad Lehmkuhl at her home in Bergen.

Fish Market in Bergen

The bounty of the sea

Bergen has hosted a fish market on its waterfront since the 1200s. Today, it’s one of the most-visited outdoor markets in all of Norway. Shoppers will find an abundance of fresh seafood, as well as fruit, vegetables and flowers. As you might expect, restaurants surrounding the market specialize in seafood.

Winter at Mount Fløyen in Bergen

Winter in Bergen

Summer is the busy season in Bergen, but there’s plenty to experience in the wintertime as well. Bergen’s location on the west coast of Norway means the city enjoys a milder climate than other areas of the country.

Bergen Christmas Market

Holidays in Bergen

Each December, Bergen’s Festplassen Square transforms into an enchanting Christmas market. Some 80 stalls sell gifts and handmade holiday treats, while a Ferris wheel and merry-go-round keep younger visitors entertained.

Gingerbread Town (Pepperkakebyen)

World's largest gingerbread town

Gingerbread is a must each holiday season in Norway. Each year, thousands of volunteers in Bergen construct local landmarks, houses, trains, cars and boats out of the sweet treat. The gingerbread town (Pepperkakebyen in Norwegian) is among the largest in the world.

Fløyen

Skiing in a winter wonderland

Bergen’s mountainous topography and reliable heavy snowfall in winter make it an excellent spot for skiing. Downhill skiers can hit the slopes at Voss, while cross-country skiers will find trails atop Mount Fløyen.

Northern Lights

Aurora Borealis

Another great reason to visit Bergen in the winter? The chance to see the northern lights. Mother Nature’s light show is most visible between December and March, though they’re not as strong as in more northerly destinations.

Scoured and gouged by ancient glaciers, Norway's fjords are a veritable wonderland. These deep, sea-drowned valleys, scissored by impossibly rugged terrain, were in 2009 voted by National Geographic Traveler magazine as the world's best travel destination. Staring gobsmacked at the imposing cliffs of Geirangerfjord. Appreciating art nouveau architecture in charming Ålesund. Thrilling to the delights of Bergen, a beautiful, charming city, with a World Heritage-listed neighborhood, Bryggen, and buzzing harbor, ringed by seven hills and seven fjords. All the images in this gallery plus many many more were taken during a road/trekking trip through Norway's west coast. You can read about the trip day by day and see many more images in the Blog. Lysefjorden

Lysefjord (or Lysefjorden) is a fjord located in Forsand in Ryfylke in south-western Norway. The name means light fjord, and is said to be derived from the lightly coloured granite rocks along its sides. The fjord was carved by the action of glaciers in the ice ages and was flooded by the sea when the later glaciers retreated. Lysefjord is an extremely popular tourist attraction and day trip from nearby Stavanger, from where cruise ships travel the full distance of the fjord. As well as the extraordinary scenery of the fjord itself, two points along its length are popular side trips. The rock of Preikestolen, located above a vertical drop of 600 meters, can be seen from the fjord, but is more impressive from above. At the end of the fjord lies the Kjerag mountain, a popular hiking destination with even more spectacular drops.

Practically the entire town was destroyed during the night and the population had to leave the town in the middle of the night. Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany had often gone on vacation to Sunnmøre. After the fire, he sent four warships with materials to build temporary shelters and barracks. After a period of planning, the town was rebuilt in stone, brick, and mortar in Jugendstil (Art Nouveau), the architectural style of the time.

5-STAR VR EXPERIENCE IN OSLO, NORWAY

icon

A very interesting and engaging museum which immerses you in the viking world through use of VR, holographics and interactive displays. The staff are very friendly. I would recommend this to anyone who visits Oslo.

It is remarkable how they have created holograms, so realistic you feel like you are there with them. This is the best way to learn history. The kids LOVED it (so so much more than the museum). They have interactive programs where you create your own boat or person - the kids loved this. The highlight was the Viking ship - oh my goodness. This is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

Well worth a visit. Enjoyable and informative. The virtual reality was cool! Talk to the staff to get the best out of it. The staff were brilliant and helpful!

Excellent experience, loads of fresh ideas on how to present Viking history. Considering this is a very new venture it feels polished and professional. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. If you take time to appreciate each different area, REALLY take the time you will get a lot out of it. For Oslo, it is very well priced. I'm not sure if it is included on the Oslo card yet, but if not it should be.

. The 4D film is jaw-dropping. Amazing digital exhibits and interactive panels. In addition, there are many languages to choose from when translating texts. Great time spent - 2 hours is not enough - I honestly recommend it - it's worth it!

Lofoten Islands beaches Norway panoramic photography virtual reality tour

Norway Lofoten Islands beaches above the Arctic Circle in 360 virtual reality tour and panoramic photography.  Discover remote Kvalvika, Unstad and Kilan beaches as well as other coastal Lofoten Islands viewpoints like the small fishing village of Reine.  We take you to the summit of Ryten mountain where you can see Kvalvika beach from above and onto the beach itself with large rocky cliffs.  Click here for the Norway Lofoten Islands beaches 360 virtual tour .  Photography by Jean-Pierre Lavoie and all rights reserved.  Please contact us for panoramic images and VR content licensing.

There are numerous stunning isolated beaches and small fishing villages like Reine surrounded by high peak mountains at the Lofoten Islands.  This archipelago is a spectacular area of Norway you will enjoy to explore if you have the opportunity to go there.  What is striking for a first time visitor is that a lot of those beaches and hiking trails are in fact so isolated that you don’t see any sign of human activity.   You may think that you are on a deserted beach like Robinson Crusoe!

Of course, remote and untouched nature means that a few of these sites are a bit harder to get to and that you will have to do some walking and moderate to serious hiking to explore them.  It is a good idea to monitor closely the weather forecast, high winds, daylight visibility since you don’t want to be stuck on the edge of a cliff with high winds and a storm lurking your way.  Other than that the Lofoten Islands are a true nature gem that you will enjoy discovering with it’s high snow covered mountain peaks, amazing beaches and small fishing villages along the archipelago surrounded by water.

But bare in mind as a side note that not all is perfect in this world and it is the same for the heavy cost of living in northern Norway.  They are on the upscale of Scandinavian countries which are high to say the least.  Food supplies are also incredibly expensive over there and the same for the very rare restaurants you may find.  Like in Northern America the further up North you go, you’ll find less things to buy and pay a lot more!

Bunes beach hike

Vareid beach

Unstad beach

Following are a few sites presented in this 360 degree virtual reality tour.  Like you may guess there are many more beaches in the Lofoten Islands and this is far from a complete survey of them all.  We only scratch the surface of what the area has to offer.  Note that images were captured in the month of May just after the northern lights  (aurora borealis) and before the full daylight cycle of the midnight sun.  If northern lights are not the purpose of your trip to Lofoten, spring as well as summer are good seasons to let you explore more deeply the mountains trails that are less accessible during winter.

Map of images locations.   Locate the sites and images we describe with this map to show you around.

Bunes beach.  Accessible by taking a ferry boat from the fishing village of Reine, near the tiny village of Vinstad is Bunes beach.  It is an easy hour and a half walk from where the ferry drops you off at Vinstad.  You will find a few houses without any roads going to them which is a strange thing to see.  At least for me as a Canadian from Quebec accustomed to cars and roads almost everywhere except in a few remote locations.  Walking on Bunes beach is a spectacular scene in itself with the sea embraced between two large rock cliffs.  It is a fascinating scenic view making you feel as if you are alone on the edge of a strange world!

A word of caution if you get to Bunes without your camping gear.  The last daily ferry will pick you up at 15h15 from Vinstad.  Be there on time for your return ride to Reine or you will have to spend the night there in the open until the next day.  I was fortunate when I was there, the sun was blasting light in the sky and I was on time for the ferry!

Ryten mountain.   There are a few possible hikes that will take you to the summit of the massive Ryten mountain cliff in the Fredvang area at a height of 543 meters from sea level.  The one I chose is a roughly 3.5 hours walk toward the summit that started at the side of the road (red parking dot in the above map).

You start walking your way up towards a mountain pass.  Then you reach a higher altitude lake where I photographed it against southern mountain peaks in the background.  The rest of the hike, seems longer, specially on the last stretch to reach the summit of the mountain.  This uphill hike is a serious challenge to attain the top of the mountain with all your gear.  But like any other adventure, it happens that you are rewarded in the end.  When you reach the summit, the stunning view over the Lofoten mountain peaks far away and Kvalvika beach way down below you in the distance is just amazing.  The beach sits at the foot of a steep mountain.  This is truly a magnificent view with all the elements of landscapes and seascapes joining in together.  Just watch out for very high winds up there.  I was barely able to use my tripod to make my panorama shots because of high winds.

If you look at the immersive 360 images I made along the path toward the summit, you’ll see that the trail is fairly good but most of the times it is hard to see the actual trail!  The ground is made of rocks, dirt, grass, some watery spots and snow patches now and then.  It is imperative that you have some sort of written instructions or maps to find your way in order to know where you are going.  One helping factor is that your are not in a forest, but a large open air field with low vegetation where you can see mountains, valleys and general guidance objects that will help you along the way.

It may also be confusing if you walk toward a location then come back on the return path from that same location.  It might sound trivial, but even if you use the same general trail or path, you see the surrounding from the opposite direction and do not recognize at all if you actually took the same path.  On the way back from Ryten summit, I missed the trail and corrected my way later by going toward a large patch of snow on the ground that I remembered from my way up…  So minimum planning is a must to visualize in your mind where you’ll go before hitting the trail and it is also important to carry a map.  Looking at a dim smartphone screen with gps and map is not the most practical way to navigate in a trail, at least for me nothing beats information on paper without low battery or light glaring issues.

Kvalvika beach .  If you look for a beach that is a little bit harder to get to than Bunes beach with more hiking challenge, then Kvalvika is the perfect beach for you.  It is located in an isolated bay on the northern side of Moskenesøy.  Kvalvika is a true isolated beach that you can only reach by walking.  You start the journey by walking uphill and pass again in a valley between two mountains.  Refer to the starting point of the hike (red parking dot in the above map).  The hike ends to reach the beach by going downhill to complete the 2.5 hours journey approximately if you take a few pictures along the way.  You will be rewarded after the hike with the beautiful beach embraced between vertical cliffs.

Kvalvika beach seems even more remote than Bunes because it is further off the beaten path.

Reine.   Reine is a fishing village in the municipality of Moskenes in Nordland county.  You can see in the panoramic image of the virtual tour large racks that are used to dry large amounts of stockfish for many months.  Stockfish is mainly unsalted fish like cod that is dryed by cold air and wind on wooden racks.  I read that we have these type of dryers for salty fish in Gaspésie, Quebec or that they were mostly used in the past.

Vinstad.   Vinstad is a tiny village with just a few houses around the shore and it is located in the northwestern direction from Reine.  You reach Vinstad by a ferry boat from Reine as it is the starting point to hike to the remote Bunes beach.

Vareid beach.  This is a nice coastal area with a lot of rocks and mountain peaks.  Vareid beach is just below the road and easily accessible without any type of hiking.

Kilan beach.  Kilan is one of those easy beach to reach because it is just on the side of the road!  So if you don’t have good hiking conditions and want to see a stunning site without to much effort, Kilan is one of those nice spots to stop by and enjoy the view.

Unstad beach.  This is a beach that is known for surfing.  In fact, when I was there just before midnight there were Norwegian surfers in the water riding on waves!  It is easy to get by car with a parking at the right side of the beach.

Northern lights in Norway

Lying north of the Arctic circle within the severe waters of the Norwegian sea, the Lofoten archipelago is known for its wild nature, majestic mountains, deep fjords, noisy bird settlements, the purest water and long sandy beaches. These lands were the habitat for Vikings and they still have some evidence of their life. In the small village of Borg archaeologists uncovered the longest Viking dwelling ever found. An 83-meters-long house was restored and now operates as a historical museum of the legendary Vikings.

Northern lights in Norway

Comparing to other places lying on the same latitude the Lofotens feature a rather mild climate due to the Gulf Stream. Between May and July there is the period of the midnight sun and from the middle of September to the middle of April the colourful Polar lights can be witnessed. An unstable weather together with an incredible light of these lands always attracted lots of artists. AirPano could not pass by the wonderful landscapes of this archipelago.

Northern lights in Norway

In the late 1970s, Reine, a fishing village, was announced by Allers magazine to be the most beautiful village in Norway. Photos of Reine have been used for the front page of many tourist brochures and guidebooks. The 0.29-square-kilometre village found itself around the fjord at the foot of the surrounding mountains. The sea crashing on rocks, colourful fishing huts, picturesque sunsets and sunrises attract thousands of guests annually.

Northern lights in Norway

The small town of Svolvær is famous for being one of the best places in the world for watching whales. But it is known not only for nature but for its history as well. Although the climate is severe, people inhabited these lands back in 800 BC. The amount of fish was enough not only for feeding, but also for a successful trade. More than 900 years ago the first Christian church in the Northern Norway was built here.

Northern lights in Norway

Traditional fishing village architecture is a feature of Henningsvær, which lies 20 kilometres south-west of Svolvær, while a small island of Skjåholmen is known for having a 25-meters lighthouse that was built in the beginning of the 20th century.

Being so far to the north of the Arctic circle AirPano couldn't help checking other interesting places of Norway. One of the most impressing sites is the 12-kilometers-long Ersfjord on the island of Senja. The rocky mountains of this fjord raise at 800 meters and meet the sea creating a spectacular view.

Northern lights in Norway

Our new virtual tour of these lands will help you to appreciate the beauty of this remote corner of the Earth with its pristine nature.

Eid-al-fitr at harvard 2024.

virtual tour of norway

Eid-al-Fitr is one of the two major holidays for Muslims; it marks the end of Ramadan, a time when Muslims fast, donate to charity, worship, and attend communal gatherings. As someone who is very grateful to live in Massachusetts, I celebrate this holiday with both my family and friends.

virtual tour of norway

The night before Eid, the Harvard Pakistani Student Association hosts their annual Chand Raat event where friends gather around the night before Eid-al-Fitr, eat food, enjoy performances including Qawali, get henna done, and more.

I typically go home after Chand Raat and I wake up early in the morning the following day for Eid Prayer with my family. After prayer, I get chai with my sister from one of my favorite cafes in Cambridge, Jaho (they have kulfi lattes!). Then it is time to prepare and serve all the dishes my mom has been preparing for the past few days for our guests.

virtual tour of norway

Every year for lunch I invite my friends from Harvard College over to celebrate Eid with my family because spending time together with loved ones is an important part of Eid. My mom makes lots of Bengali dishes including biryani, goro mangsho, chicken korma, salmon kabobs, and more. When my friends come they eat the main meal, desserts such as sandesh and mishti, and end the meal with cha. Afterward, we pray Dhuhr outside together and take pictures.

virtual tour of norway

After my friends leave, I visit my family friends, eat some of their food, and catch up with them, then I head back to campus for the Eid Banquet hosted by the Harvard Islamic Society . This year’s banquet was on a boat, and they served delicious food from Ali’s’ Uyghur Kitchen . They recognized the seniors, we prayed the Maghrib prayer, and we were given little bottles of zam zam water.

Every year, Eid at Harvard is very eventful. For those who stay on campus, the Muslim Chaplains host Eid prayer and brunch in the morning. One thing for sure is that Eid-al-Fitr is one thing to look forward to on campus.

Where to watch Monte Carlo Masters final: Live stream Ruud vs. Tsitsipas

The 2024 Monte Carlo Masters comes to an end today with a final match between Casper Ruud and Stefanos. Tsitsipas. We'll show you everything you need to know about tuning in for the competition, like where to watch the Monte Carlo Masters final live stream.

A bit of a surprise final today as the two players dispatched some of the favorites in the semis. Greece's Tsitsipas eliminated an in-form Jannick Sinner, and Norway's Ruud sent Djokovic back on an early flight. The men's game seems to be opening up this season, and we're here for it.

The match is scheduled for 9 a.m. ET / 2 p.m. BST. If you're in the US and this seems a bit early for you on the weekend, we've got you covered. The US live streaming packages we've recommended include DVR so that you can record the match and watch it later. Below, we've put together everything you need to know about tuning in, no matter where you are.

Where to watch Monte Carlo Masters in the US

The Tennis Channel will show the the final Monte Carlo Masters match in the US, in addition to many future stops on the ATP Tour. For cord-cutters, this means using a live TV package with the Tennis Channel, like Sling TV or Hulu + Live TV.

For  Sling TV , you'll want to select Sling Orange (at $40 a month) and the Sports Extra add-on (at $11 a month) to get the Tennis Channel. In total, this package will cost $51 a month, making it the cheapest of the options we're showing today.

For just the essentials without any extra fluff, Sling TV is the streaming service you're looking for. It's more customizable than other plans, with three options you can choose from, so you pay for only what you need. New members get their first month for $10 off.

When it comes to  Hulu + Live TV , you can get a standard live plan (starting at $76.99 a month) and select the Sports Add-on (at $9.99 a month). This will cost you $86.98 a month, which makes this the more expensive of the two options. However, this bundle also includes ESPN+, Disney+, and regular Hulu.

Hulu + Live TV includes over 90 channels, along with Hulu's on-demand library and access to Disney Plus and ESPN Plus. Adding live TV drives up the price significantly, but it's a rolling one-month contract that you're free to cancel at any time. As live TV services go, though, this is one of the best.

Where to watch Monte Carlo Masters in Australia

The Monte Carlo Masters final will be shown via  beIN Sports in Australia. The service costs AU$14.99 a month and comes with a one-week free trial for new users. If you keep your subscription after the free trial, you'll be able to catch much of the ATP Tour and WTA Tour.

How to watch Monte Carlo Masters from anywhere

If you're going to be away from home during the final but still want to use your live TV subscriptions, then you should check out a VPN. Short for virtual private networks, VPNs are easy ways to temporarily alter your device's location so that you can access websites and apps that might not be available in certain regions (plus they're sure-fire ways to increase your online privacy). Since the services we've outlined require country-specific forms of payment, this option is best for those who are simply traveling at the moment and hoping to use their existing streaming subscriptions.

Not sure where to start? We recommend ExpressVPN , a user-friendly option with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Check out our ExpressVPN review for more information and see below for service highlights.

With its consistent performance, reliable security, and expansive global streaming features, ExpressVPN is the best VPN out there, excelling in every spec and offering many advanced features that makes it exceptional. Better yet, you can save up to 49% and get an extra three months for free today.

Note: The use of VPNs is illegal in certain countries, and using VPNs to access region-locked streaming content might constitute a breach of the terms of use for certain services. Insider does not endorse or condone the illegal use of VPNs.
