As Goldenvoice’s latest large-scale live music endeavor following the likes of Coachella , Stagecoach , and Desert Trip , Power Trip Festival will take over Indio, California’s Empire Polo Club for three days, running from Friday, October 6th to Sunday, October 8th.

Who Is Headlining Power Trip Festival in 2023?

Power Trip’s lineup will be topped by AC/DC, Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Iron Maiden, Tool, and Judas Priest.

Ozzy Osbourne was originally booked to play the festival, but canceled due to health reasons . He was replaced by Judas Priest.

The rock fest of the year is finally here.

On Oct. 6-8, the first-ever Power Trip will land at Indio, CA’s Empire Polo Field for three head banging days of rock, hard rock and metal.

This year, the festival boasts six heavy headliners.

They are Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Metallica , AC/DC , Guns ‘N Roses and Judas Priest.

Power Trip headliners on tour

If you can’t make it to Power Trip this weekend, you can still catch a few of the groups on the road this year and next.

Metallica and Guns ‘N Roses still have a handful of U.S. shows remaining on their respective tours.

As for Tool , they’re launching their 2023 tour on Oct. 3. They’ll be on the road up until Nov. 21.

Hard rock and heavy metal is heading to California this fall.

The first Power Trip Festival will be held from Oct. 6-8 in Indio, California with several rock legends as headliners, including AC/DC and Ozzy Osbourne.

Power Trip Festival will mark the first time AC/DC will perform with Brian Johnson live since 2016. It will also be the first time Ozzy Osbourne will headline a festival since announcing his retirement earlier this year.

Power Trip Festival 2023: Full Lineup and Details Announced

It may be the biggest North American rock festival ever

The stacked lineup for the all-new festival Power Trip is here. Earlier this week, headliners Metallica, Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne, AC/DC,  Tool , and  Guns N’ Roses all teased the festival on their official social media. Now, the full lineup is officially confirmed for what may very well be the biggest hard rock festival ever in North America.

On Monday, July 10, Ozzy Osbourne revealed that he would no longer be performing at Power Trip. On Tuesday, July 11, it was announced that British metal icons Judas Priest would be stepping in for Ozzy. Priest will now play opposite AC/DC on Saturday, October 7.

Goldenvoice, the company behind Coachella, Stagecoach, Cruel World, and more will be putting on Power Trip. The festival will take place in Indio, California at the Empire Polo Grounds (home of Coachella) on October 6 through October 8, 2023.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, April 6 at 10am PT. Hotel and VIP Packages available starting Tuesday, April 4 at 10am PT. Fans can register for the on-sale now HERE . 3-Day General Admission tickets start at $599 + fees, or turn the volume up with GA + Shuttle ($699), The Pit ($1,599), Reserved Floor ($799 – $1,599), Grandstand Seating ($1,099 – $1,399), and various VIP Packages ($1,749 – $2,999). Payment plans (50/50) are available for general admission tickets. 

Camping options include Car & Tent Camping, ready-to-go 2 person Lodge/4 person tents, RV spots and more. Amenities and activities are available for all campers. Accommodations include hotel packages: Bundle your Power Trip tickets with nearby hotel accommodations and “any line” shuttle passes. Available for groups of 2 or 4 people, exclusively through   Valley Music Travel . Packages start at $3,199 + fees.

Fans who want to commemorate the weekend can pre-order a Power Trip Commemorative Poster. The premium quality giclee print poster delivered in advance of the show. Designed and printed by artist  J. Bannon  (limited edition of 1,000), the posters are available in 18×24 on fine art textured stock. For now, you must purchase a ticket in order to add the poster to your order.

After announcing his  retirement from touring  back in February, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Ozzy Osbourne has recently expressed his desire to still perform at some capacity in the future. Commercially, Ozzy is enjoying the fruits of his widely successful album  Patient No. 9 . He won two GRAMMY® Awards at the 65th annual event in Los Angeles last month. He took home the hardware for Best Metal Performance and Best Rock Album. It marked the metal legend’s first solo GRAMMY® win since 1994 when he won Best Metal Performance for “I Don’t Wanna Change the World ( Live & Loud ).

“I’m one lucky motherfucker to have won the Best Rock Album Grammy,” the now a five-time GRAMMY® Award winner exclaimed. “I was blessed to work with some of the greatest musicians in the world and Andrew Watt as my producer on this album. Winning the Best Metal Performance was equally gratifying being that the song featured my longtime friend and Black Sabbath bandmate, Tony Iommi.”

Metallica’s upcoming eleventh studio LP  72 Seasons  arrives on April 14 via the band’s own Blackened Recordings. Produced by Greg Fidelman with frontman James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich, and clocking in at over 77 minutes, the 12-track  72 Seasons  is Metallica’s first full length collection of new material since 2016’s  Hardwired…To Self-Destruct . The album will be released in formats including 2LP 140-gram black vinyl and limited edition variants, CD and digital download.

Additionally, Metallica are  returning to the road  this summer. The band previously announced their M72 Word Tour which will see the band perform back-to-back nights at each stop with no repeat performances. In each city, special guests on Night One will be Pantera and Mammoth WVH. Five Finger Death Punch and Ice Nine Kills will serve as support on Night 2. Tickets are on sale now  HERE . 

Iron Maiden brought their Legacy of the Beast Tour back to North American last year for another massive run. The band’s latest album  Senjutsu  arrived in 2021. The album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rock and Top Hard Rock Albums charts.

In 2020, AC/DC released their seventeenth studio album  Power Up . The record peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and topped the charts in several other countries around the world. Once again, Angus and Malcolm Young’s nephew Stevie Young, who took over rhythm guitar duties for Malcolm after his passing in 2017. AC/DC have not toured since their Rock or Bust trek wrapped up in 2016.

Tool have a number of festival appearances slated for 2022, including a headlining slot at Aftershock. Last summer, they released their GRAMMY®-Award winning fifth album  Fear Inoculum  as a new black vinyl set via RCA Records. The 3-disc 180 gram set on black vinyl features new artwork by guitarist Adam Jones. It comes in a triple gatefold jacket and an exclusive 12″ x 36″ double-sided poster. Last March, Tool released a re-imagined version of “Opiate,” the title track from their first EP. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of their first commercially-available release, the band re-worked and extended the song –  “Opiate 2 “  – with an accompanying short film.

Guns N’ Roses are embarking on a massive world tour this summer. The North American leg runs through October 16m making stops in Boston, Chicago, Nashville, Charlotte, Vancouver, and more. The band is also returning to Hersheypark Stadium in Pennsylvania for the first U.S. show of the tour. They previously kicked off their We’re F’N Back! Tour there back in 2021. Last year, Guns N’ Roses came out with a a new EP  Hard Skool . The record was released nearly a year ago on February 25, 2022. It was the first time in 28 years that vocalist Axl Rose, guitarist Slash, and bassist Duff McKagan collaborated together on new material together.

The trio was accompanied on the new studio effort by the current members of the GNR lineup, which is completed by guitarist Richard Fortus and drummer Frank Ferrer, as well as keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Melissa Reese. The EP featured live recordings of the band’s ‘91 power ballad “Don’t Cry” and “You’re Crazy” from their seminal debut LP  Appetite For Destruction .

Released back in August of 2021, the single “Absurd “ was the first new Guns N’ Roses song in 13 years.

Fresh off their  50th anniversary celebrations , Judas Priest are reportedly working on music for the follow-up to their acclaimed 2018 album  Firepower . The record is the band’s biggest commercial success, charting at No. 5 on the UK Albums Chart and Billboard 200 as well as hitting No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Hard Rock Albums chart. After delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Judas Priest toured relentlessly to celebrate the success of Firepower and the band’s five decades of heavy metal.

There’s a new outdoor music festival on the block, and it’s dedicated to rock lovers. Goldenvoice’s Power Trip Festival is set to take over the grounds of the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California this October (aka Rocktober). The multi-day event is set to be headlined by Guns N’ Roses , Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne , Metallica , and Tool.

Although tickets don’t officially go on sale until next week (April 4), those looking to attend will need to start pinching their pennies now. On the event’s website, there are several ticket options for interested parties, which all promise varying experiences.

The ticket options are general admission (starting at $599 with fees; add-ons include shuttle transition service), reserved floor seats (starting at $799 with fees), reserved grandstand seats (starting at $1,099 with fees), the pit (starting at $1,599 with fees), and VIP packages (starting at $1,749).

All packages have different tiered choices and optional add-ons. There is another ticketing designation for concertgoers looking to camp on the grounds.

As far as the lineup goes, Guns N’ Roses and Iron Maiden will perform on Friday (October 6). AC/DC and Osbourne will headline on Saturday (October 7). While Metallica and Tool will close out the festival on Sunday (October 8).

If you’re looking to start planning your next trip to Disneyland Resort, the first detail you’ll want to figure out is the current price of park tickets. From single-day, single-park tickets to multi-day park hopper tickets, the price of spending a day (or more!) at Disneyland or Disney California Adventure can vary, depending on a number of factors.

So, what are Disneyland ticket prices right now? For 2023, Disneyland Resort ticket prices start at $83 per person and max out at $244 . 

However, this doesn’t include extras – like Park Hopper or parking. With these add-ons, ticket prices can really add up. And it’s also important to note that ticket prices do depend on whether you’re visiting in a peak or non-peak season, too.

The base Disneyland ticket prices for 2023 are for all Guests, including those ages 3 to 9 and ages 10 and up. Guests under 3 years old don’t need a ticket .

Important: Just because you have a Disneyland or Disney California Adventure ticket in hand does not mean you can get into the park you’re planning to visit. As Disney continues to monitor and limit capacity, you must have an approved park reservation . Check the park reservation calendar to make sure your dates are open (availability varies by specific park), purchase your tickets, and then immediately book your reservation for your preferred dates.

While this has always been Disney’s MO, it’s important to note that 2023 Disneyland price hikes are steeper than in previous years. Particularly busy days, like during the summer months, start at $129 to $159.

And as we get into holiday territory, you can expect to pay $159 to $179 per ticket on many days, especially weekends .

Prices can increase throughout the year, too, with Disney unveiling ticket price hikes annually. In 2022, Disneyland saw an 8 to 9 percent ticket price increase in October. Planning and purchasing your tickets in advance can help you avoid any unexpected price increases that may occur before your trip.

You can purchase your Disneyland or Disney California Adventure park tickets well in advance of when you’re planning to visit in 2023. Typically, you can purchase tickets up to five months in advance . 

For example, on January 1, you can purchase tickets for visits through May 1 of that same year. Throughout the year, increasingly more dates into the future open up. It’s best to start looking around the five-month mark if you’re hoping to look at ticket tiers and prices (and see what park reservations remain available.)

Remember, you will need to book a park reservation after purchasing your tickets. Reservations for the second park aren’t required if you plan to park hop, but you will need to make a reservation for your first park of the day.

Purchasing tickets for Disneyland Resort is pretty straightforward, both in price and in process. Ticket prices for a standard ticket (or One Park Per Day) start at $83 and can reach $179 , and they fluctuate depending on the day of the week and the season. 

Disneyland tickets are priced based on a tier system that includes seven different tiers (Tier 0 to Tier 6). Those tiers correspond directly to demand. The higher the tier, the more demand Disney expects for that date – and the higher the ticket price. 

For example, a ticket for a less popular day of the week, like a Wednesday or Tuesday, during the slow season of January will be a Tier 2 ticket. That Tier 2 ticket will cost around $129. A Tier 6 ticket, which is valid on a weekend and the peak holiday season in December, will run about $179.

Fortunately, the park you choose to visit doesn’t directly impact the cost of your ticket. You can choose to visit Disneyland or California Adventure for the same price, as long as park reservations are available. 

Disneyland Resort Ticket Add-Ons

When you purchase a ticket, Disney will suggest a bunch of extra options for you. Depending on the way you plan to tackle your vacation, some of these, though they add to the overall cost, may really deliver extra value to your experience.

Here’s a look at these Disneyland ticket add-ons and what they can offer you.

Park Hopper Add-On

The most common add-on for Disneyland and Disney California Adventure tickets is Park Hopper. This allows you to visit both theme parks in the same day – and you don’t even need a Park Pass reservation for the second park.

Adding Park Hopper to your Disneyland Resort ticket costs $65 per ticket . 

How does Park Hopper work? You must wait until 11 AM to begin park hopping . However, you can start your day at either Disneyland or California Adventure; just make sure you have a park reservation for the one you’d like to visit first. Starting at 11 AM, you’re then free to hop on over to the other park.

  Pro Tip: Is Disneyland all booked up on your desired date? Get a reservation for California Adventure instead, spend the morning riding Radiator Spring Racers and the Incredicoaster, and check out any open festival booths or lunchtime hotspots like Lamplight Lounge for a mid-day meal. Then, cross the esplanade and head into Disneyland at 1 PM. You’ll have a late start, but the classics will all be waiting for you.

Genie+ (and Lightning Lane)

If you’re hoping to skip the long wait for some rides, Genie+ – and its companion service, Lightning Lane – is a must-have add-on. This on-demand service is an add-on you can purchase each day you’re at the theme parks, and it includes some Lightning Lane entrances in its per-day cost.

However, you can also purchase individual Lightning Lane entry for single rides. Some of the hottest rides throughout the resort, like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Radiator Springs Racers, are available for individual Lightning Lane entry purchases. This is a per-ride (and per rider) added cost.

Both Genie+ and individual Lightning Lane entry vary in price, fluctuating depending on demand, seasonality, and park crowd levels. You’ll need to check the Disneyland Mobile App each day for the price. However, the prices do tend to stay within the following ranges:

• Genie+ ranges starts at $15 per day, but can climb as high as $30 (or more!) per day
• Lightning Lane single entry starts at $12 per ride, but can reach up to $25 per ride

Disney PhotoPass

Disney PhotoPass is an add-on you can purchase for the day of your park visit. It costs an additional $20 per day . While it doesn’t offer any advantage in terms of visiting more theme parks, it does offer the opportunity to capture all of the photos and videos you take during your visit to Disneyland Resort. 

You’ll get PhotoPass when you purchase Genie+ for a day at the parks. With Disney PhotoPass through Genie+, you can download and share all of the photos and videos that you take with Disneyland’s photographers over the course of your day at the parks.

Want to capture a full week of fun? Disney PhotoPass is flexible – instead of spending $20 per day for the length of your trip, you can purchase Disney PhotoPass+ One Week. It costs $78 for seven days of photos . 

In addition to purchasing theme park tickets, Disneyland also offers special “after hours” parties called Disneyland After Dark . These hard-ticket events take place inside the parks after they’ve closed, each with its own special theme, live entertainment, snacks, and even merch.

At Disneyland After Dark events, Guests get the opportunity to explore the parks at lower capacity. You can ride select attractions with much shorter queues, experience special cavalcades and parades, try new (and often unlimited!) snacks, and have access to exclusive premium food, beverages, and merchandise. Plus, the themes are incredibly fun – past years have seen Star Wars Nite, Merriest Nite, 90s Nite, and Sweethearts’ Nite.

Best of all, you don’t need a regular park admission ticket – or a park reservation – to attend these events. Your Disneyland After Dark ticket is all you need, and it’ll even give you access to enter the parks a few hours before the event actually begins. It’s like a chance to hit up some of your favorite rides “for free” before the party starts.

For 2023, Disneyland After Dark events include:

• Sweethearts’ Nite:​​ Tickets start at $129 per person. This event takes place on select nights from January 31 to February 16, 2023 at Disneyland.
• Princess Nite : Tickets start at $129 per person. This event takes place on March 7 and 9, 2023 at Disneyland.
• Throwback Nite: Tickets start at $129 per person. This event takes place on April 18 and 20, 2023 at Disneyland.
• Star Wars Nite: Tickets start at $149 per person. This event takes place May 2, 4, 8, and 11, 2023 at Disneyland.
• Pride Nite: Tickets start at $129 per person. This event takes place June 13 and 15, 2023 at Disneyland.
• Oogie Boogie Bash : This annual Halloween party takes place at California Adventure in September and October. Tickets range from $134 to $189 per person.

In addition to purchasing your theme park tickets, you’ll also want to factor in – and budget for – additional costs during your visit. One of the biggest that you’ll face each day is parking.

While you can easily walk to and from Disneyland Resort if you’re staying at one of the resort hotels or a nearby Good Neighbor hotel, that’s only feasible if you’re already parking nearby. Otherwise, parking at one of the Disneyland Resort lots (the Toy Story Lot, the Pixar Pals Parking Structure, or the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure) is your best bet.

Unfortunately, there’s always a cost for parking. And like your theme park tickets, the price can be high. 

When you pay to park at any one of the three Disneyland Resort lots or structures, your parking pass for that day is good for just one full day. Here are the prices :

• $30 per day for standard parking (cars and motorcycles)
• $50 per day for preferred parking (cars and motorcycles)
• $35 per day for oversized vehicle parking
• $40 per day for buses or tractors

All parking fees include applicable sales tax.

Note: You can park in the Downtown Disney District Parking Lot, or the Simba Lot, which is located off of Disneyland Drive. However, it may not be any cheaper. The first hour at the Simba Lot costs $10. Each additional hour costs $14, with a maximum daily rate of $66. You can get validation from any Downtown Disney location, with a $20 minimum purchase, but it’s only good for up to three hours of parking.

Do Disneyland Tickets Come With Free Parking?

Unfortunately, purchasing a Disneyland or Disney California Adventure theme park ticket doesn’t include free parking. You’ll need to pay the day rate to park on property.

However, if you’re a Magic Key holder, you may get free or discounted parking. Certain levels of Magic Keys come with discounted parking rates at the Toy Story lot, while others can park for free. Check the details of your Magic Key to determine if you need to pay full price for parking at a Disneyland Resort lot or structure.

Disneyland Resort Hotel Parking

If you’re a resort guest, you may skip out on theme park parking costs by keeping your vehicle at the hotel and walking to the parks each day. However, you will have to pay a hotel guest parking rate if you do bring a vehicle to your hotel.

Parking for Disneyland Resort hotel guests ranges from $35 to $65 a night . Guests who choose self parking at the Disneyland Hotel, Grand Californian Hotel, or Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will pay $35 per night. If you opt for valet parking, the cost is $65 per night.

Let’s put all this information into practice to figure out how much one day at Disneyland might cost a family of four: two parents, one child 10+, and one child under 10.

This family purchases Tier 3 park tickets and adds a Park Hopper for each ticket. They will pay a parking fee to park at one of the structures. Their selected day is $209 per adult with Park Hopper and $201 per child with Park Hopper. Each person in the group also wants Genie+, which starts at $25 per person for the date selected. 

Here’s how it breaks down:

• 3 Adult Tickets with Park Hopper: $627
• 1 Child Ticket with Park Hopper: $201
• 4 Genie+: $100
• Parking: $30

This, of course, does not include food, beverages, merchandise, Individual Lightning Lane Selections (not included in Genie+), or any other special experiences. Additionally, remember that prices can fluctuate, both for tickets and add-ons like Genie+, and affect the final total.
