About Nickelback Named the “most successful rock band of the decade” by Billboard in 2009, Nickelback is one of the most commercially viable and important acts of the past two decades. The four-piece, comprised of Chad Kroeger, Mike Kroeger, Ryan Peake and Daniel Adair, is globally celebrated for their career defining and award-winning hits including “How You Remind Me,” “Photograph,” “Far Away” and “Rockstar” which all held top spots on the Billboard 100. Their success includes worldwide sales of more than 50-million units, solidifying their status as one of the top-selling acts of all time and the second best-selling foreign act in the U.S., in the 2000’s decade, behind only The Beatles. Their inescapable and irresistible smash “How You Remind Me” was named Billboard’s ‘Top Rock Song of the Decade’. It was the number-one most played song on U.S. radio (any format) in the 2000’s decade according to Nielsen Soundscan, with over 1.2 million spins.

Amongst all of these accolades, they’ve also been named Billboard’s “Top Rock Group of the Decade” and received nine Grammy Award nominations, three American Music Awards, a World Music Award, a People’s Choice Award, twelve JUNO Awards, seven MuchMusic Video Awards, and have been inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame (2007). With more than 23 chart-topping singles and fans spanning the globe, Nickelback boasts twelve consecutive sold-out world tours, playing to well over 10-million diehard and adoring fans. In March 2023 Nickelback will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the JUNO Awards.

About Brantley Gilbert

With back-to-back Platinum albums and a grassroots following millions strong, Brantley Gilbert’s music has been shared, covered and adopted as the soundtrack to Saturday night and Sunday morning by audiences around the world. The Georgia native who started as the defiant life-of-the-party can still go ‘til sunrise, but he’s also emerged as something far greater: the leader of a massive tribe of hard-working, fun-loving believers for whom electric guitar-shredding, rapping, and twang can go hand-in-hand-in-hand. They call themselves the BG Nation, and when the BG Nation watches Gilbert on a stage, they don’t just see a star. They see themselves. Seven No. 1 hits punctuate his career: “Country Must be Country Wide,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” CMA Awards Song of the Year nominee “Dirt Road Anthem,” “My Kinda Party,” RIAA 5x Platinum-certified “Bottoms Up,” “One Hell of an Amen” and collaboration with Lindsay Ell “What Happens In A Small Town.” Gilbert’s landmark record  Just As I Am  clinched the 2014 American Music Award for Favorite Country Album. Earning praise from the  New York Times , NPR,  American Songwriter , and more, Gilbert has mined a rich vein of conflict between the party and the pew on all of his albums. Instead of toiling in limbo, unable to enjoy good times for fear of Judgment Day, Gilbert fully lives––rowdy friend, man of faith, devoted husband, smitten father––just as he is. Gilbert’s new album,  So Help Me God , includes his latest single “Heaven By Then” with Blake Shelton and featuring Vince Gill, and is available now.

International dates for NICKELBACK are forthcoming.

NICKELBACK 's history dates back to 1995 in Hanna, Alberta, where they got their start playing covers in a band called VILLAGE IDIOT , a nod to the small-town nature where they played and grew up. In 1996, Chad , alongside Ryan Peake , made the 10-hour trek west to follow Mike to Vancouver, British Columbia, where the band still resides and continues to make music today.

The band's numerous smash hits, coupled with worldwide sales of over 50 million albums sold, seals their status as one of the top-selling acts of all time and the second best-selling foreign act of the 2000s in the U.S., behind only THE BEATLES . The wildly popular smash hit "How You Remind Me" was named Billboard 's "Top Rock Song Of The Decade", which was a contributing factor in the publication's decision to crown NICKELBACK "Top Rock Group Of The Decade" shortly after.

Beyond their Juno Awards , the group has received nine Grammy Award nominations, three American Music Awards , a World Music Award , a People's Choice Award and seven MuchMusic Video Awards . They were inducted into Canada's Walk Of Fame in 2007.

Nickelback Announces 2023 Get Rollin’ Tour

by Alex Hopper January 23, 2023, 10:53 am

Nickelback has announced a 2023 tour in support of their most recent studio album, Get Rollin’ . Produced by Live Nation, the Get Rollin’ Tour will hit 38 cities across North America.

Videos by American Songwriter

The run will kick off on June 12 in Quebec City, QC at Videotron Centre. The acclaimed rockers have also scheduled dates in Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver, Los Angeles and Nashville. The tour will wrap on August 30 in Belmont Park, New York.

Brantley Gilbert and rising country artist Josh Ross have been tapped as tour support. Find the full list of dates, below.

Tickets for the trek will go on sale Friday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. local time via livenation.com . VIP packages will also be available, which grant fans access to premium tickets, pre-show lounge invitations, a specially designed Nickelback gift item, early entry to the venue and more.

Released in November 2022, Get Rollin’ was Nickelback’s first album in five years. The record landed the band on the ARIA Album Chart at No. 3 and entered the Top 10 in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Germany, Australia and Austria.

The album saw the group showcase their eclectic roots. While the metal influences fans are used to hearing from the group are well accounted for, they also dip into aspects of country, alt-rock and more.

“We’re so lucky that we’re able to do things that are so diverse and versatile, and our fans are usually accepting of them,” Chad Kroeger recently told American Songwriter. “I would be so bored and stifled creatively if I was forced to record records that were all similar sounding.”

Nickelback: The 2023 Get Rollin’ Tour

October 3, 2023 – Pinnacle Bank Arena, Lincoln, NE

On Tuesday night October 3, 2023, Nickelback brought their Get Rollin’ Tour to the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska, and it was awesome!

The night kicked off with country rock superstar Brantley Gilbert, and he didn’t disappoint.  The stage was brilliantly designed, and the lighting and visuals were a feast for the eyes. From dazzling pyrotechnics to stunning laser displays, the production added an extra layer of excitement to an already thrilling show. The giant video screen displayed captivating imagery that enhanced the storytelling aspect of Gilbert’s songs.

From the moment he stepped onto the stage, the crowd erupted with excitement. He kicked off the show with one of his signature hits, and the energy in the air was palpable. Gilbert’s band was outstanding, delivering tight and powerful instrumentals that complemented his rugged voice perfectly. His setlist was a mix of his greatest hits and tracks from his latest album, and every song felt like an anthem. Highlights included “The Weekend,” “One Hell of an Amen,” and “Bottoms Up,” which had the entire crowd singing along at the top of their lungs. He also showcased his versatility with acoustic moments that allowed his storytelling abilities to shine, providing a nice contrast to the high-octane moments. Gilbert’s stage presence is something to behold. He exudes confidence and a genuine love for performing that connects him with his fans on a deep level. He interacted with the audience throughout the night, sharing stories behind his songs and expressing his gratitude for the support of his fans.

His powerful vocals, dynamic band, and magnetic stage presence made for an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, his set was a rollercoaster of emotions, and I was so thankful I finally got to see him live.  What a way to kick off the night! After a brief intermission, it was time for Nickelback! The band, known for their chart-topping hits and robust stage presence, delivered a night of rock and roll that left the audience in awe.  From the moment they took the stage, they had the crowd in the palm of their hands. They opened with, “San Quentin,” and the energy was electric. Nickelback’s musicianship was on full display, with Chad Kroeger’s distinctive vocals leading the way. The band’s tight instrumentation and harmonies were impressive, proving that they are true masters of their craft. Their setlist was a perfect blend of their greatest hits, including “Far Away,” “This Afternoon,” and “Photograph,” alongside tracks from their latest album. The crowd sang along enthusiastically to every song, creating a memorable sing-along experience that united fans old and new.

Nickelback’s stage presence was commanding and engaging. Chad Kroeger interacted with the audience, sharing anecdotes and expressing gratitude for their ongoing support. The band’s chemistry was evident, and they played off each other’s energy to create a dynamic and entertaining performance. The atmosphere at the concert was electric and infectious, and I was surprised to see so many young fans in attendance. It was awesome to see fans of all ages and backgrounds come together to celebrate the music they love. Nickelback’s 2023 Get Rollin’ Tour was a rock and roll extravaganza that left a lasting impression. Their powerful vocals, exceptional musicianship, and engaging stage presence were a testament to their status as rock icons. The combination of their timeless hits and new material created a well-rounded and satisfying show that appealed to both long-time fans and newcomers.

If you ever have the chance to see Nickelback in concert, I highly recommend it. Their ability to captivate an audience and deliver a high-energy performance is a testament to their enduring appeal in the world of rock music. This concert was one to remember! Brantley Gilbert Setlist:

Thanks for contacting us. We've received your submission.

Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger performs at a concert.

Nickelback doesn’t take themselves as seriously as you might expect.

In a video promoting their upcoming “Get Rollin’ Tour,” the Canadian rockers go behind the scenes to reveal they’re the deep voices behind the epic tour announcement.

“Was that good?” lead singer Chad Kroeger asks his bandmates.

And with that, the group, that has been the butt of music snob’s jokes and memes for years, shows they have a smirking sense of humor too.

Will they bring that tongue in cheek attitude on the road with them?

We can’t say for certain but it is likely that they’ll bring their massive hits like “How You Remind Me,” “Photograph,” “Rockstar,” “Burn It To The Ground” and “Someday” as well as tracks from their recently released 10th studio album “Get Rollin'” to the stage at each and every show.

That includes an Aug. 30 concert at Elmont’s UBS Arena and a pit stop at the annual Tailgates and Tallboys Music Festival in Bloomington, IL from June 14-17.

Best of all, tickets for all concerts can be secured as early as today .

Although inventory isn’t available on Ticketmaster until Friday, Jan. 27, fans who want to ensure they have tickets ahead of time can purchase on sites like Vivid Seats before seats are officially on sale.

Vivid Seats is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

They have a 100% buyer guarantee that states your transaction will be safe and secure and will be delivered before the event.

Nickelback 2023 tour schedule

Chad Kroeger, Ryan Peake, Mike Kroeger and Daniel Adair launch their North American 38-concert “Get Rollin'” tour at Quebec City’s Videotron Centre on June 12.

From there, the quartet have arena and amphitheater concerts mapped out in Vancouver (June 28), Salt Lake City (July 6), Las Vegas (July 15), Nashville (Aug. 1) and Milwaukee (Aug. 5).

The run concludes on Aug. 30 at Elmont’s UBS Arena .

A complete calendar including all tour dates, venues, show start times and links to buy tickets can be found here .

Nickelback opening act

Shows won’t start with the headliners taking the stage on this tour.

No, country rockers Brantley Gilbert and Josh Ross will serve as special guests at each and every concert.

Here’s a quick primer on each of the support acts you’ll see if you arrive on time.

Brantley Gilbert , a Jefferson, GA native, is known for his slick country sound. It’s very possible you’ve already seen him on tour before too. Over the past decade, he’s opened for Kid Rock, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson and Luke Combs. Want to check out his music? We recommend his catchy singalong “Bottoms Up” that will have you humming along in no time.

Josh Ross wears his heart on his sleeve. The Ontario-based singer-songwriter belts soaring piano ballads that straddle the line between country and indie pop. For a taste of his versatility, start with Ross’ lyrical “First Taste of Gone” and then give the pulsing “On A Different Night” a try.

Nickelback new music

Things get heavy on Nickelback’s most recent record, “Get Rollin’.”

Right off the bat, it sounds as if the group has pivoted to full-on hard rock with their latest offering as evidenced by the almost metal opening track “San Quentin.”

On track two, Nickelback maintains that energy and brings the guitar solos, menacing vocals and thumping drums to the catchy “Skinny Little Missy.”

From there, the rockers return to their pop radio friendly roots with the friendlier ditty “Those Days” and “High Time.”

Want to hear the record for yourself?

Tailgates and Tallboys Festival

From June 14-17, Nickelback has been tapped to headline the annual Tailgates and Tallboys Festival in Bloomington, IL.

The star-studded affair will also bring major country stars like Kane Brown, Parker McCollum, Jelly Roll and Lainey Wilson as well as to the festival grounds for the four-day extravaganza.

Plus, rapper Yung Gravy is slated to appear at the fest as well.

Huge concert tours in 2023

The longer Nickelback’s career goes, the harder it becomes to define what kind of music they make.

Is it metal? Country? Hard rock? Pop?

Let’s just say it’s all of the above.

With that in mind, keep reading — we’ve found five similar groups on tour in 2023 that just might pique your interest.

•  Metallica

•  Morgan Wallen

•  Foreigner

•  John Mellencamp

•  Blink 182

About Brantley Gilbert With back-to-back Platinum albums and a grassroots following millions strong, Brantley Gilbert’s music has been shared, covered and adopted as the soundtrack to Saturday night and Sunday morning by audiences around the world.

'Where Do We Go Now?:' Erie's First To Eleven hits road for East Coast tour

Erie's own First to Eleven is hosting a special show in Erie, bringing their "Where Do We Go Now?" tour home.

The Erie-based cover band kicked off their tour in April bringing their music to a number of major cities, including St. Louis, Baltimore, Chicago, Detroit, Buffalo and Pittsburgh. First to Eleven's band that performs original music without Ryan Krysiak, Concrete Castles, released their most recent album "Brand New Me" in August 2023.

"We’re doing a few more cities, a few bigger rooms and kind of hitting some markets we never touched on before," said Audra Miller, the band's lead vocalist. "Our last tour was pretty much just the East Coast and now we’re doing more of the East Coast and making our way into the Midwest a little bit."

During the Erie show April 26 at BigBar, 14 E. 10th St., the band will partner up with another Erie band, Daytona Beach, and local musician Brooke Surgener.

The show at BigBar was a good fit for the band as it was scheduled close to their show in Pittsburgh.

“It kind of worked out that we already had a show booked at BigBar and it was in the tour, so I was like, 'Oh, we’re going to have to cancel that,'" said Ryan Krysiak, the band's bass guitarist. "Then I was looking at it and that was at the end of the tour and we’re in Pittsburgh the night before. It was like, why don’t we make it happen in Erie? We will keep that show and Daytona Beach has been doing really well at BigBar, as was First to Eleven, so let’s combine them and let’s go hard for this one show."

Preparing for tour and shows

Since 2023, First to Eleven has been pumping out cover songs aiming to add one cover a week to their repertoire.

These cover songs get uploaded to YouTube which help the band decide what the fans like and want to hear so they can create the setlists for tour.

"It’s very random; it used to be top 40 songs at the beginning of our YouTube career," Miller said. "Once we started doing one cover a week it got a little easier because if one cover doesn’t do as well it’s okay because you have one coming out next week instead of a month later. So now it’s like we listen to the fans, and if there’s something they like, it’s like okay I guess we’ll try it. And if it’s a song we do that does really well we will do something in a similar genre or by a similar artist, or sometimes we will throw in random stuff that we want to try and see if it works."

From the setlist, the band then determines where the show goes from the perspective of the audience.

"For a longer bar show we will play for three hours so we have to pull out pretty much everything," Krysiak said. "That’s based off when you are at a bar you go through this process of like I’m just sitting and having my first drink like what do you want to hear during that set. Then a couple of drinks in you are feeling a little loose. What do you play then and what do you play at the end when you are ready to party."

One of their more popular songs that has done well with the audience, "Sweet Child of Mine" by Guns N' Roses, gave them the idea for their next tour name, "Where Do We Go Now?"

"Brooke (Surgener) came up with it, but our most popular cover on YouTube is 'Sweet Child of Mine.' So she was like you should just take a lyric from that song and name your tour after it, so that’s what we did," Miller said.

First to Eleven has a setlist filled with popular songs from Nickelback to ABBA to Queen and more.

Sometimes bands, including Nickelback , have shared First To Eleven's videos to their social media pages.

When will First To Eleven be in my area?

To find if First to Eleven will be in your area, check out their website Firsttoeleven.com . Each show will have it's own ticket link.

The band also offers a VIP ticket option which will include early admission, a Q&A before the show and more.

Can’t make the Erie show at BigBar? First to Eleven will be in Erie this summer. The band mentions that if you show up to a show you could be featured in one of their YouTube videos .

The "Where Do We Go Now?" tour goes from April to late August.
