Where to see the Budweiser Clydesdales in Fort Myers, Alva and LaBelle

The Budweiser Clydesdales are trotting back into Southwest Florida for four days of tour stops in Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Alva and LaBelle.

The massive horses visit Southwest Florida every year. They’ve been the beloved symbol for beer company Anheuser-Busch since 1933.

This year is even more special than usual, though: It’s the 90th anniversary for the Budweiser Clydesdales. The popular horses will celebrate that milestone all year long with appearances throughout the United States.

 “We’re thrilled to celebrate the 90th anniversary of this cherished icon as we enter a new chapter in our company’s storied heritage,” said Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth in a news release announcing the 90 th anniversary. “As a longtime Budweiser fan, I’m excited for the opportunity to commemorate the Clydesdales, their caretakers and the inspiration they bring in a new way.

“The Clydesdales represent the best of the American spirit, and we are looking forward to celebrating this milestone with our teams and consumers both in their hometowns and on national stages.”

All Southwest Florida appearances are free. Each stop features eight horses (a full hitch) and the famous Red Beer Wagon, unless otherwise noted.

Here’s where you can see the Clydesdales in Southwest Florida:

• The Shell Factory & Nature Park, 16554 N. Cleveland Ave., North Fort Myers. 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22:
• Bell Tower Shops, 13499 S. Cleveland Ave., south Fort Myers. 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23
• 31 Produce/Cracker Shack Café , 18672 State Road 31, Alva. 3-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24. Two horses only.
• And the Swamp Cabbage Festival Parade, 8 Park Ave, LaBelle. The parade starts at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25.

No tour stops are planned in the Naples area this year, says Madeline Lukomski, marketing manager for local Anheuser-Busch distributor Suncoast Beverage Sales.

Here are some fun facts about the beloved "gentle giants":

• Each Clydesdale stands about 6 feet tall and weighs about 2,000 pounds.
• The horses are bay-colored with four white legs, a blaze of white on the face, and a black mane and tail.
• Every hitch travels with a Dalmatian dog — a throwback to the early days of beer brewing, when Dalmatians were bred and trained to guard the wagon and horses while on beer deliveries.
• A single Clydesdale hitch horse will consume as much as 20-25 quarts of feed, 40-50 pounds of hay and 30 gallons of water per day.

Warm Springs Ranch, home of Budweiser Clydesdales, set to open for 2023 season

The horses at Warm Springs Ranch are set to give their welcome, helping visitors gallop — or, at least, trot — out of winter's doldrums and into a fresh, new season.

The 300-plus acre Boonville farm, where famed Budweiser Clydesdales are bred and nurtured, will greet spring and open Saturday for the first time in 2023. Four Clydesdale foals were born earlier in the year, and will be available to see on the grounds, according to a news release.

Warm Springs Ranch offers a number of tour options , with chances to see and move among these majestic animals. The newest is labeled the Build Your Own Clydesdale Party, according to the release. For a group of up to 15, this private experience includes dinner, beer for patrons age 21 and up and "one-on-one time with a world-famous Budweiser Clydesdale."

Guests can also choose to take photographs with the horses, enjoy grooming lessons, spend time training with a hitch driver and more. The cost for the group is $1000.

Warm Springs Ranch opened in 2008, and today is home to around 70 horses, the release said. Features of the space include "a mare/stallion and foaling barn, veterinary lab and 10 pastures, each with a customized, walk-in shelter."

LUDINGTON, MI – The iconic Budweiser Clydesdales will appear four times in two Northern Michigan beach towns next month.

The horse team is scheduled for events, including parades and meet-and-greets, in Manistee and Ludington June 8-11.

Here’s the schedule:

• 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 8 at Douglas Park/First Street Beach in Manistee.
• 6-7 p.m. Friday, June 9, at the Love Ludington Street Party in downtown Ludington.
• 5-7 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Loomis Street Boat Launch in Ludington.
• 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, June 11, at Mason County Fairgrounds near Ludington.

The Ludington appearances coincide with the city’s Love Ludington Weekend festival, which will be larger than ever this year as the city celebrates its 150th anniversary .

W arm Springs Ranch, the Boonville home of future Budweiser Clydesdales, will launch a new event next month that takes the dinner-and-a-show trope in a much more intimate direction and emphasizes its connection to its family of beers and beverages.

Clydesdales and Cheers, to be held June 6, opens with appetizers and drinks on the premises, and the chance to spend up-close time with one of the horses. From there, patrons are shuttled to the Cooper's Ridge event venue for a four-course meal that pairs with drinks created under the Anheuser-Busch InBev umbrella.

The first course consists of a savory meat pie with honey habanero sauce and beer cheese paired with an old-fashioned Budweiser.

The salad course features a wild greens, kale, and arugula salad with varied toppings and an orange carrot miso dressing, chased with a Goose Island Sofie, their Belgian ale.

For the main course, chicken kabobs with ponzu sticky rice, ginger and pineapple aioli will be served with a Kona Big Wave golden ale.

And rounding out the meal, a NÜTRL cake with sweetened condensed milk ice cream and orange sauce, paired with one of the company's NÜTRL orange vodka seltzers.

2024 welcomes the third region-inclusive cast to tell the story of Clara and her enchanted Nutcracker as they battle the Mouse King and his army of menacing mice before venturing to the land of sweets. Through this uniquely fun narrative ballet,  Moscow Movement Arts Center offers community-centered performance opportunities for students of all ages to develop personal artistry and expression while gaining valuable experience and life-long memories. If you are a  performer age five through adult who may be curious about embodying one of the many numerous imaginative roles (over 150 roles available!) such as life-sized toys, mischievous mice, the jolly polichinelles, the graceful oryx, and so much more--we will see you on August 17th!

What is The Nutcracker ?

The Nutcracker , Russian Shchelkunchik, made its world premiere in  St. Petersburg, Russia in 1892 and is the last of Pyotr Tchaikovsky's three ballets. The story of The Nutcracker is loosely based on the E.T.A. Hoffmann fantasy story The Nutcracker and the Mouse King , about a girl who befriends a nutcracker that comes to life on Christmas Eve and wages a battle against the evil Mouse King. Hoffmann’s story is darker and more troubling than the version that reached the stage; the Imperial Russian Ballet choreographer Marius Petipa chose to follow a light adaptation of the story written by Alexandre Dumas père. The ballet’s big success still lay in the future–during the Cold War, when the Russian ballet, thanks to a Russian choreographer, became an American Christmas tradition.  George Balanchine, helped make the ballet popular in North America. during his success in the early 20th century. Balanchine had been working in ballet in the United States for many years when his company, Ballet Society, performed a version of the Nutcracker in New York in 1955 that became the template and inspiration for all versions performed across North America in the decades since.

Do I need to be an M-MAC student to audition/be cast?

You do not need to be a student at Moscow Movement Arts Center in order to participate--all are welcome! Any interested participant has a multitude of ways available in order to get involved. Whether you are a student in our classes throughout the week or not, if you have a curiosity and/or a desire to join us--welcome, welcome!

Do you allow double-casting?

With over 150 available roles (!), it is possible to be double cast. You are not required to be double cast, but if you are a performer at heart and have an interest in performing in both acts--let us know!

Do I need to attend all rehearsals?

Attendance at rehearsals is vital for the individual dancer. It is the time in which repertoire is learned, committed to memory, and polished it with fellow cast-mates. When a dancer misses rehearsal, it not only puts them at a disadvantage, but it has an impact on their fellow dancers. It is therefore extremely important that dancers attend all scheduled rehearsals.

Does it cost money?

There is no fee to audition, there is a participation fee once cast. Participation Fees are dedicated to the purchasing and maintenance of costumes, venue rental, run crew, etc. For those seeking to offset the cost of performing, we offer financial assistance as detailed below.

Is there financial assistance?

Yes! Inclusivity and accessibility are at the forefront of our value system at MMAC, so it is important to us to offer alternative avenues that enable participation while easing financial stress. Work/Study Scholarship A discounted performance fee of $45 is assessed in combination with volunteer support duties.  In 2022 and 2023 we have been able to offer over 15 full scholarships  with the support of our fundraising efforts.

Closure In Moscow Announce ‘The Singularity’ Tour

It seems that fans of Melbourne’s Closure In Moscow just can’t get enough. Days after wrapping up their Supreme Turbo Facilitator Tour (selling out all but one of the shows) the popular five piece have announced their Singularity Tour featuring headline dates in all capital cities.

The tour marks the beginning of what plans to be a super massive travel cycle for Closure In Moscow as they head across to the U.S on the Warped Tour playing all 44 shows.
